The transformation of Nanami Kento, part 4
In which plans are made, Ino joins the mission and Nanami-pom receives his clothes and ... another special gift.
Tumblr media
Ieiri was waiting for them in the examination room and she beckoned Yuuji over.
"Put him him over here."
Reaching up, Yuuji lifted Nanami-pom from where he hung from his hood and deposited him gently on the metal table. The golden furred head turned to Ieiri, tilting in curiosity. She approached the table and laid her palm gently on his back, eyes closing.
Something in the atmosphere of the room changed. Yuuji stepped back slightly as Ieiri's technique went to work, the hair on his arms raising slightly. As subtle as her cursed energy was, there was no mistaking its power. When she removed her hands, there was no visible change on Nanami-pom. Nobara's hushed question sounded loud in the room.
"What did you do?"
Yuuji nodded.
"Yeah. I thought you said that your technique wouldn't work on Nanamin."
Ieiri stepped back and heaved a sigh, rolling her shoulders slightly.
"I didn't reverse the transformation. At least, not entirely. I did my research, you see. The report Ijichi compiled and some background information on the curse user said that he transformed those employees at the daycare for one specific reason. He perceived their unhappiness and dissatisfaction as an eyesore, a visual stimulus. He turned them into something that was non-threatening, cute, pleasant to look at at all times."
Megumi frowned.
"But what does that have to do with Nanami?"
"Well, Nanami is not like any of the other victims. He's a jujutsu sorcerer with his own source of heightened and well-trained cursed energy. What I did just now was remove the limiter on that. There is no penalty for that, since the curse user was purely focused on appearance."
"Wait," Yuuji raised both hands, "You're saying that Nanamin can ... use cursed energy now? Even when he's like this?"
Ieiri glanced over at where Nanami-pom was now standing on the examination table, both paws raised close to his snout, turning them this way and that, as if seeing something the rest of the room couldn't. She smirked.
"Yes, exactly. Which is why he won't be a hindrance to your mission. If you're lucky, he may be transformed back while you're out in the field. If you find the curse user, he may gain his body back."
---------‐-------------------------------
Gojo soon received a message that Ino had arrived and was waiting for them in one of the briefing rooms on the lower floor with Ijichi. The trio of students followed their teacher down the stairs, Nanami-pom now seeming to have appropriated Yuuji's hood as his personal transport. Yuuji smiled as the small, warm body shifted slightly against the back of his head, two paws gripping onto his collar as Nanami-pom settled himself comfortably.
Rather than looking put out that he was forced to ride around on someone else, Nanami had embraced the role with equanimity, balancing himself within the hood with poise and appreciating the rest he was getting. The only person who looked distinctly displeased was Gojo, who kept poking at the transformed sorcerer, trying to get him to ride on his shoulders as well. Nanami-pom ignored all of his attempts, small snout turned upward in cold disdain.
When they entered the briefing room, Megumi went forward to greet Ino. The cheerful young sorcerer was dressed in baggy black clothing, high-top sneakers on his feet and a large black beanie pushed back on his head. Yuuji took note of his appearance with interest, wondering what kind of abilities Ino had and what sort of missions he and Nanami had been on before. Before he could ask, there was a shift in his hood and Nanami-pom hopped down onto the conference table.
Ino's jaw dropped.
"N- Nanami?"
He received a nod and Nanami-pom approached him, holding out his tiny paw with dignity. Ino shook his head from side to side, as if trying to clear his thoughts, and stepped toward him slowly. He took the paw in a gentle grasp, swallowed by his own palm, and Nanami-pom brought the hand to his nose in what seemed to be a signature gesture of recognition. The younger sorcerer bent his head and when he raised it once more, Yuuji was startled to see great passion reflected there, along with traces of tears in his eyes.
"Nanami! Even like this you're ... the number one sorcerer I admire! I won't let you down! Watch me on this mission. I'll help track down that curse user and you'll have your body back in no time. I swear it!"
"Whoa," Nobara muttered, "Nanami has fanboys?"
Megumi shot her a look.
"Ino respects him a great deal. That's always been the case."
Yuuji felt an answering flame of determination rise inside him too. Clenching his fists, he leapt toward Ino, his own eyes turning slightly damp.
"Hell yeah! We'll help Nanamin and kick that curse user's ass! He doesn't stand a chance!"
"Oh! Are you another of Nanami's students? Haha, he's amazing, right?"
"Damn right he is! He's all business and kinda gloomy, but he gets the job done. I wanna be a responsible sorcerer like him!"
"You get it, man! He always does the right thing, and that's what I respect the most."
Nanami-pom was watching the exchange between the lively student and sorcerer, small eyes widening slightly. Although his expression remained stoic, his ears flopped downward, failing to hide the small tinge of pink in his cheeks.
Megumi sighed.
"I take it back. They should just start a fanclub, at this point."
Gojo was examining his fingernails.
"Oh, would you look at that. Must be nice, having your students appreciate you like that. Megumi? Nobara? Either of you have something to say to me?"
"No."
"Eh?"
Ino relinquished the paw he held to step forward and salute Gojo smartly.
"Takuma Ino, Grade two sorcerer, ready for duty! I've read the reports and the most recent updates. What's the plan of action?"
-------------------------------------------------
The briefing room lit up with a harsh blue glare as the blueprints of the abandoned amusement park were displayed on the white wall behind Gojo. He outlined the manner in which they hoped to corner the curse user, the gravity behind his words letting them all know just how seriously he took this mission, in spite of his apparent flippancy.
Nanami-pom seated himself on the table between Yuuji and Ino, listening intently to the plan. Ijichi entered the room, carrying a wrapped box. When Gojo had completed his short briefing and fielded some questions from Ino and Nobara, the assistant approached Nanami-pom and opened the box.
"Your clothes are here, Nanami. You may try them on. We can make any necessary adjustments."
The students crowded around as Ijichi lifted three very small outfits from the box, placing them neatly on the table in an ordered row. Nobara clapped her hands against her cheeks, twisting her body from side to side.
There was a tiny suit, identical to Nanami's regular one, tailored exactly to his current measurements. A soft blue shirt, yellow patterned tie and smaller glasses completed the ensemble. There was also a warmer coat with a fur lining and what looked like a pair of cotton pajamas. Ino and Gojo were now peering over their shoulders, Ino's eyes sparkling with glee.
"Nanami, it's just like your regular suit! Go on, put it on."
With some assistance from Ino, Nanami-pom donned the suit, Ijichi deftly helping to knot the miniature tie, tucking it softly into the front of the buttoned jacket. When they were done, everyone stepped back and admired their handiwork.
Nanami-pom stood and ran a paw down his front, smoothing out the suit and patting his tie before looking up, his expression distinctly satisfied.
"Looking sharp, as always!"
"So cute!"
"Awesome, Nanamin!"
"Can I take some pictures? Please? Just one? I promise I won't send them to the Grade one sorcerer group chat. For real!"
Once Gojo had taken his fill of pictures, cackling diabolically all the while, Ijichi passed him a file with some printed information.
"This is the area you'll be traveling to in Shinjuku. The abandoned amusement park is a 15 minute drive, just outside the city limits, from the hotel I've booked. You'll be leaving this evening, and spend the night at the hotel, while our windows work to pinpoint where precisely the curse user's holed up."
"All right, let's head out."
"Oh, and one more thing!"
Ijichi shuffled around, producing another box. Inside this one was a tiny leather harness and a miniature duplicate of Nanami's blunt sword, with a strap designed to slip easily onto his paw. Yuuji inhaled sharply.
"Look! It's just like yours!"
Nanami-pom seemed slightly overwhelmed. He came slowly towards the sword and harness, Ijichi holding it out encouragingly. He slipped his short arm through the strap, feeling how the tiny blade sat, balanced perfectly in his paw. He swung it experimentally to and fro, feeling the lightness and efficiency in the design. When he looked up at them, his soft hazel eyes were warm and grateful.
Ino looked like he was about to burst into tears once again.
"It's perfect, Nanami!"
By the time the cars came to fetch them, Nanami-pom was suited and ready, glasses reflecting the light with menacing familiarity as he rode on Yuuji's shoulder. Wherever he was hiding, that curse user would face the wrath of the skilled and deadly Pompompurin he had created.

how would each JJK man react as they got RAN OVER😍😍😍😍😍😍 NOTHING TELLS YOU WHAT TYPE OF MAN THEY ARE LIKE THEIR REACTION TO GETTING RUN OVER ! 😍😍😍😍(I’m insane)😍
Okay alright, these are quick fires so LET'S GO:
Ijichi: Apologises to the car, bows all the way to hospital.
Gojo: Car doesn't hit him. Car comes off much much worse. After casually checking on the passengers, leaves in a hurry. Urban legends start to float around about a tall blindfolded ghost who is legitimately untouchable.
Geto: Burns down their whole fucking village.
Toji: Brushes it off. Another one where the car comes off worse. It's an inconvenience picking bits of fender out of his hair, more than anything. Absolutely does not give a single shit about the inhabitants of the car.
Nanami: Seamless barrel roll over the bonnet and boot of the car, lands on his feet. Straightens his tie. Gently raps on the window of the car. First checks the passengers are alright, then gives a stern but well-meaning lecture on dangerous driving.
Ino: Sloppy, apologetic, really actually hurt but tries to brush it off like it's nothing. Goes to Nanami to see if Nanami will teach him how to get run over properly.
Yuuji: Takes a DEVASTATING BLOW...and just walks away. Fully laughing and good humoured but inexplicably missing a whole leg. Even more inexplicably, the passengers of the car see him walking round with two totally intact legs just the next day.
Megumi: MAHORAGA
Tumblr media
Maki: Graceful barrel roll like Nanami. Lands on her feet. Bullies and berates the car until the car AND its passengers are crying.
Yuuta: Couldn't look any more tired, after scrambling to his feet and convincing Rika not to reduce the car to smithereens.
Sukuna: ARSON. 15,000 dead, nobody knows why, because the car didn't even touch him.
Hiromi: Barrel roll but not neat about it. Sloppy, sighing, angry rap on the window. Takes full insurance details, files a police report, insists on a court date because god knows he might actually win this one.
Choso: Unsure at first exactly what a car is. Accuses it of killing his brothers. Total car annihilation. Finds out the car WAS another brother (from a Curse Womb-vroom-vroom). Total emotional breakdown.

Getting cozy in bed with Ino and cuddling up cause he’s so cozy warm. Who tf needs heating hwne you have your wonderful bf who’s also handsome and sculpted like a god? (Even though you’re sad that he hides it under that baggy sweatshirt.)
But one time you pull away cause your neck and back feels stiff from work so you twist and turn a little and your bones release so many cracks that Ino thinks you’re fucking with him by secretly breaking pasta. But nope baby, that’s all just natural, broken inside and out.
I cant get over his face. OR ANY OF THEIR FACES.
My body gets stiff fast from work so whenever I start cracking my neck and back people look at me in horror. Meanwhile I’m just like “oh fuck yeah. Thats the good stuff”
~ Nanami flowershop anon
god yes he’s definitely a space heater for you to cozy up to 🥰🥰
and you know he gets so content and relaxed when you’re cuddled up in his arms that your sudden snap crackle popping has him up and alert SO FAST like you triggered this guy’s flight or fight dude!!!
and you think it’s funny but he’s SO concerned for you- and this isn’t a rare occurrence, it’s multiple times a DAY babe- but every time ino is gonna freak out just a little bit bc should your bones be doing that?????

The Fushiguro's And Their Totally Super Platonic Dates
chapter 2
Megumi absentmindedly spritzed his $700 Dior cologne as he watched his reflection in the mirror. He noticed an abandoned Axe deodorant bottle in the back corner of the cabinet, remembering how he briefly started to use it in middle school before Gojo bought him expensive cologne and threatened to kick him out should he use it again.
God what a freak.
Megumi sighed as he remembered his date (it was not a date) with the new student, Yuji Itadori, after school. He might be cute, but he was also an idiot. As proof, Megumi’s new bracelet glinted in the bathroom lighting. He still remembered how excitedly Yuji shoved the gift in his hand, revealing a simple beaded bracelet saying “it’s OK to be sad” with a bunch of frowny faces. In the face of the pink-haired boy’s enthusiasm, all Megumi could do was smile and take it with an unenthusiastic thank you.
“How come every time you come around my London London bridge wanna go down -“
Gojo’s music drifted obnoxiously through the cracked door as he listened to his (stupid) playlist (link)
“Oh Megumiiiii” his utter buffoon of a guardian called. “Brekkie is ready! I made your favorite, blueberry pancakes with a smiley face since you’re sooooo saddddddd”
Megumi looked into the mirror, determinedly ignoring the crazed shouting. “One of these days,” he tells himself, before trailing off.
He reluctantly goes downstairs to see Tsumiki already sitting at the table, eyes glued to her phone. This isn’t too abnormal of an occurrence, but when she fails to greet her little brother, Megumi knows something is up.
“Who are you texting?”
“No one!” Tsumiki says too loudly, quickly turning off her phone and putting it down.
“Oooooooh who are you texting? A sordid affair, perhaps?” Gojo takes off his self-bought pink apron with the words “World’s Best Dad”.
“MEGUMI IS MEETING A CUTE BOY AFTER SCHOOL TODAY.” Tsumiki shouts to escape the attention.
“What the fuck-“
“MY SWEET PRECIOUS BOY IS BEING STOLEN AND IMPURIFIED? NONE OF THOSE LITTLE RATS ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR HEART, MY SWEET SUMMER CHILD. Except maybe that new kid; he’s chill, besides the trauma-dumping.”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU STUPID WHORE. NO ONE LIKES YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND BROKE UP WITH YOU AND YOUR HAIRCUT LOOKS LIKE JUSTIN BIEBER’S” Megumi screams, throwing a chair.
There’s a pregnant pause before Gojo slowly reaches over and rearranges the pancakes to resemble a frown.
“Well that's my cue to get going!” Tsumiki cheerfully side-steps the elephant in the room as she skips outside, pausing at the door. “Wanna come with, Megumi?” she asks, clearly taking pity on the boy.
“God yes,” he mutters and quickly follows, ignoring his guardian’s attempt at puppy-dog eyes.
“You know, you should really be nicer to Gojo,” Tsumiki admonishes as they buckle up. “He did raise us.”
“Badly,” Megumi mutters back. “Do you remember that time I almost asphyxiated because he didn’t believe I had peanut allergies because that ‘doesn’t run in the family genes’. Tsumiki, we’re adopted.”
Her answering giggle sounds like chimes. “Well, it was a little funny.”
“I almost died.”
“You were fine! You’re such a spoilsport sometimes, Megumi.”
“Whatever.” Megumi leans back in his seat, giving his sister the silent treatment as they drive to school before he remembers the original topic of discussion. “So, who were you texting this morning?”
“It’s seriously no one,” she says but Tsumiki’s light blush is answer enough. “He and I are just… friends.”
“He?” Megumi’s focus narrows onto the word. “I thought you were gay?”
“What? I’m bi but why did you think that?”
“Probably because there’s not a single straight person in this town that I know of.”
“What? That can’t be true; there’s…. Oh never mind I guess you’re right. Well anyways, he’s cute but doesn’t see me that way.” Tsumiki frowns, gripping the steering wheel a little too tightly.
Megumi reigns in his quickly igniting anger when seeing his sister dejected, but just barely. “Why do you say that?”
“Well, he buys me flowers and holds my hand and walks me to class and gives me his jackets and ties my shoelaces when they come undone and holds my books but he hasn’t explicitly asked me out on a date.”
“Are you serious? He clearly seems to like you, not to mention you’re literally perfect. Don’t put yourself down over some man!”
“Don’t you like men?”
“That’s besides the point. You should ask him out. If he breaks your heart, I’ll beat him up.”
Tsumiki laughs, a weight lifted off her shoulders. “Don’t do that,” she lightly admonishes, though her lips twitch in a smile. “You’re right. I’ll ask him out later today. Thanks, Megs.”
“Ugh just don’t tell Gojo I gave you good advice instead of sabotaging your relationship.”
The car slows as they pull into school.
“Promise.” Tsumiki winks, linking their pinky fingers. “And I also won’t tell him any more about Yuji, though you should take your own advice.”
“Shut up!” Megumi quickly leaves the car and his annoying but loveable sister behind.
——————————————————————-
AFTER SCHOOL
“Yo!” Yuji calls as he jogs over, his pink hair perfectly tousled and his brown eyes bright and stop THINKING STUFF LIKE THAT OH MY FUCKING GOD.
“Hey,” Megumi responds perfectly neutrally. “So where are we heading?”
“Don’t worry! I know just the place!”
Megumi feels his cheeks heat, wondering just how much Yuji has planned ahead, just how much Yuji has thought about him.
Not a lot, Megumi realizes as he walks inside a motherfucking Chuck E. Cheese.
“Man, I’ve missed this place,” Yuji sighs, looking around with nostalgia. “I haven’t been here since my grandpa died.”
Megumi softens despite his best efforts. “It reminds me of Disneyland.”
Yuji laughs brightly, grabbing Megumi’s hand to lead him to their table. “Haha really? When did you go there?”
Megumi freezes before quickly shaking himself out of his stupor. “When I was a young naïve little boy who still trusted his father. We went together to visit the happiest place on Earth, but it soon became the saddest place on my Earth…”
-------------------------------------------------------------------
FLASHBACK
It was a bright and sunny morning the day little Megumi’s world came crashing down. His father, with the ugliest rat dog sitting on his broad shoulders, held his hand as Megumi ate his ice cream cone.
“If you drop that, I’m not stealing another one,” his poor as shit father scolded the child who didn’t listen.
Tsumiki, meanwhile, couldn’t keep her eyes off of the crusty dog on her father’s shoulder. She finally pried them away, forcing herself to enjoy the day to the fullest, before she heard a gravelly whisper behind her.
“Your skin smells tasty”
Tsumiki whipped her head around. “Did you say something, Dad?”
“What? No. Are you stupid?”
“I guess I must have imagined it…” Tsumiki turned forward once again, but felt a stare prickle the back of her neck. She quickly split off from her family. “I’m just going to go to the restroom quick!”
Her father absentmindedly nodded while the dog on his shoulder shook and foamed at the mouth, its beady eyes following her.
Megumi, meanwhile, stared fixedly at a couple having a noisy argument in the distance.
“I don’t care if the mice make your fucking clothes; I don’t want them in the house.” The tattooed pink-haired man gestured wildly.
The blonde woman slapped his hand away. “I’m surprised you even noticed the mice considering your never at the house, but rather drinking and fucking those WHORES-”
As Megumi’s nosy ass leaned forward to listen better, his ice cream scoop peeled away from its cone and fell onto the street.
“Motherfucker.”
“Hey, who taught you to swear like that?” His father frowned at him. “Fucking Christ, did you seriousy drop your ice cream?”
Megumi recognized the annoyed tone his father adopted and quickly scrunched his face up like he was going to cry.
“Ah shit, don’t cry, people will judge me for being a shit father. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…” Tojir looked around wildly for something to appease his (not really) upset son. “Here! Look at those pretty princesses!”
Megumi glanced over, his bout of fake tears quickly forgotten. “I kind of prefer the princes.”
Everything stopped.
Both his father and the dog turned mechanically to face the young boy.
“Are you a fucking fa-”
“Is the dog seriously talking right now?” Megumi interrupted, frightened by the turn of events and the intelligent gleam in the dog’s beady, homophobic eyes.
“No, of course the dog did not fucking talk,” his dad lied. “But more importantly, are you… one of those?”
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“You know what… I gotta go… make a phone call.” His dad took an awkward step back. “Can I see that napkin real quick?”
Puzzled, Megumi handed the tissue over while his father uncapped a black marker and scribbled something on it.
“OK kid, just wait here… I’ll be right back.” As Megumi gazed upon his father’s retreating back (for the last time, though he did not know that), the scraggly dog turned to look him in the eye.
It laughed, an awful squeaking noise that would haunt Megumi through his nightmares. He was shocked out of his pondering when a hand tapped his shoulder.
Tsumiki frowned at him. “Uhhhhh where did Dad go?”
“I don’t know, but he left me this napkin that I can’t read ‘cause I’m only 5.”
Tsumiki grabbed it and read aloud, despite the many spelling errors:
Yo Gojo if ur reeding this, I have abandoniene left my cids in ur qare. Take good qare of them! Or dont, I dont really qare, jyst dont kontact me again. Byyyyyyyyyyyyyy
-Toji and Lucy
There was a little paw print next to the message, though Megumi thought it seemed more like a threat than a goodbye.
Tsumiki’s eyebrows creased. “Why is the dog’s name signed? Actually, more importantly, who the fuck is Gojo?”
Suddenly, they heard a commotion in the distance and spotted an unreasonably tall man with sunglasses talking with the police.
“No, I already told you, I’m not trying to kidnap them; the dad left them with me for a super secret mission.”
“Sir, please calm down.”
“Unhand me, you pig!”
A brief scuffle came about, ending when the tall man was tazed by the officer. He shook sporadically, before his eyes met the two childrens’.
“Oh shit! Oh shit! Found them! Let me just get out of your hair.” The man jerked suddenly in what might have been a forceful handshake, before stumbling over to Megumi and his sister, crouching down obnoxiously.
“Hey little crotch goblins. I’m Gojo, but you can just call me papa.” The white-haired man shot them an award-winning smile.
What a creep, both kids thought, rearing back their fists.
In a true display of teamwork, Tsumiki’s fist cracked his nose while Megumi kicked his crotch.
The man fell back with a pathetic high-pitched scream of pain. “Damn, you guys really are Toji’s kids.”
END FLASHBACK
“And that's how Gojo adopted me and my sister.”
“Wow that’s… really sweet,” Yuji lied. “Wait, how did your dad even know Gojo?”
“Well, I asked Gojo once and he said…”
ANOTHER FUCKING FLASHBACK
One dreary night, as rain pattered the rooftops and froze the hearts of young couples, two men walked into a bustling bar.
The white-haired man, obviously tipsy, stared at the other. “You know, my ex also had dark hair. God, what a bitch.”
“Oh really?” Toji hummed noncommittedly, not really listening.
“No,” Gojo tearfully said. “Imagine God made a perfect angel and that angel happened to have dark hair and a weird kink for cults… That was my ex.”
Toji perked up at the mention of religion. “Man, I love God. I’ll drink to that.”
They clinked shot glasses and downed their respective liquors.
“Wait,” Gojo paused. “Isn’t alcohol a sin?”
“It’s only a sin if you get drunk,” slurred the clearly drunk man.
Gojo shrugged the comment off, not willing to waste his limited brainpower on the thought. “Hate the sin, love the sinner, I guess.”
“EXACTLY.” the older man clapped him hard on the shoulder. “You get it.”
“Sure, sure. It’s like the age-old question, y’know,” Gojo almost fell off the stool as he leaned back. “Gay son or thot daughter?”
Toji swiftly downed another drink. “I would sooner leave my stupid children in the hands of some stranger like you than deal with that fiasco.”
He shuddered with disgust but Gojo only laughed loudly. “Only if you buy the next round!”
Toji glanced up consideringly. “Shake on it?”
Gojo, clearly drunk and thinking this was a joke, shook hands all too eagerly.
Toji waved the bartender for another round. “I have this kid back at home, and I don’t even vibe with it for real. It’s so weird and gross and tiny. Like ew.”
Gojo morosely fidgeted with his empty glass. “My ex-boyfriend broke up with me to play soccer at another school. I mean, who does that? And right before nationals? Hella lame.”
“OK, you don’t need to rub your gayness all over the place. Like, tone it down. Anyways, I’m gonna ignore the fact that you’re a sinner ‘cause I really like you, kid.”
“Thanks, I guess.” The two men exchanged numbers before Gojo left to find a rebound (he didn’t) (he tried flirting and started crying) (it was pathetic) (he got kicked out of the bar).
END FLASHBACK
Megumi was interrupted from his visceral flaming of his guardian by the Chuck E. Cheese rat arriving with the pizza.
“Oh, thank you.” Megumi tried to grab the food but the mascot held firm.
“Your skin smells so tasty.”
“What?”
The rat cleared its throat, though it didn’t do much to help its raspy yet squeaky voice that somewhat reminded Megumi of Mechamaru’s stupid bitch ass whiny voice. “Your pizza smells so tasty.” It quickly left, but not before Megumi heard what seemed like strangely familiar growling.
“Yuji, did you hear that?”
“What? I was distracted by the pretty balloons.” Yuji pointed wistfully to a kid’s cheap birthday party in the corner. “You were saying something about Gojo?” He turned his pretty brown eyes back to Megumi and oh GOD FOCUS FOCUS.
“Yes… him. Well, even though he’s an annoying, irresponsible, pathetic loser who has almost killed me out of negligence multiple times, he wasn’t the worst. I guess. It was fun when he measured us against the wall growing up, or when we would watch horror movies that I totally wasn’t scared of even though they were rated R and definitely not meant for the sensitive eyes of children but, of course, sweet little Tsumiki never had a problem ‘cause she’s just sooooo perfect.” He paused. “Don’t tell him I said that.”
Yuji nodded along sympathetically. “I felt like I was in a horror movie when I saw my grandpa’s dead body,”
“Yeah anyway,” Megumi ignored his traumadumping with practiced ease. “I wonder what Tsumiki is doing now.”
MEANWHILE
Tsumiki sat with her notes spread out like a fan around her on the grass. As she read aloud her bundle of notecards, the man laying on her lap twisted daisies into a flower crown.
She scrunched her nose in annoyance as she got another one wrong. “Ugh this is so stupid. I’m totally going to fail Professor Geto’s quiz, and he won’t give me any extra credit ‘cause he doesn’t like me because Gojo has to ruin everything!”
“What, no,” the boy sat up to face her properly. “Miki, you’re literally the smartest person I know. If anyone is going to ace this test, it will be you.”
Tsumiki smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes as she looked away, clearly not believing him.
He gently brushed his finger against her chin, forcing her to look at him. With her full attention, he placed the flower crown on her head as her cheeks flushed a pretty pink.
“You’re perfect,” he breathed out, before realizing what he said as his cheeks burned a vibrant red. “I mean you’re- you’re obviously- I mean-”
Tsumiki’s answering smile was real this time, and all the sweeter for it, as she pulled his beanie down all the way and pushed his face back admonishingly.
“Yeah,” he said in a strangled and totally masculine voice. “The notes. We should get back to your notes. Haha. Totally.”
He made to lean back, to give her some more space because is it getting hot in here? Or is that just her? Oh shit it’s probably my beanie. He quickly pulled it off.
“Wait,” Tsumiki’s hand grabbed his shoulder, halting his escape and oh god even her hand is pretty I am so fucked.
“Do you… Can we…” The girl trailed off, looking slightly unsure before firming her resolve. “Ino, would you like to go out sometime? Romantically, I mean. On a date.” She coughed, her cheeks burning a more vibrant red at the awkward phrasing.
“YES!” Ino yelled, before coughing and looking away. “I mean, yes. Totally. That would be totally chill.”
There was a pause before they locked eyes and started giggling, their sweet laughter signifying a beautiful start to a beautiful relationship.
Tsumiki’s eyes caught on his watch. “Oh shit, I need to go home soon! Gojo is making us watch a new episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey and he’ll totally freak if I’m gone.”
She smiled apologetically at Ino, but he had already packed up her things and started walking.
“Oh, I can carry-”
“Nope!” He smiled cheekily at her. “New boyfriend gets to carry his partner’s stuff!” His brown eyes danced in the sunlight before they widened in panic. “I mean- unless you don’t want to put a label on it- which is chill! So chill! Totally chill. I was just-”
“Ino.” Tsumiki leaned back onto her car as she smiled fondly up at him, chest brimming with adoration. “You’re fine,” she said exasperatedly.
“Oh, I’m fineee, huh?” His cheeks dimpled into a brilliant smile as he placed a hand next to her on the car, which was so fucking sweaty that he immediately slipped and almost headbutted her.
She caught him effortlessly, holding him up by his shoulder, faces inches apart.
Ino smiled dazedly. “Wow, you’re really strong-”
“Can I kiss you?” She cut him off.
His eyes softened. “Of course.”
They both leaned in, Tsumiki’s hands migrating to his neck and tangling in his soft hair.
Long story short, Tsumiki was late and, even though Gojo obnoxiously yelled at her the entire night, she couldn’t keep the smile off her face.

So of course I went with a high school reunion where they both show up to impress people they haven't even thought about in over ten years, because snobbery as flirting is their love language. This fic is pure crack and smut later. Check it out!

The transformation of Nanami Kento, Part 3
In which Nanami-pom gets fed well and manages to avoid being squished.
Tumblr media
By the time the boys returned, Nanami-pom had settled himself comfortably at the table in preparation for his food. Mealtime was an important and carefully observed ritual for him in human form, one of his simple pleasures. Nobara had procured a side plate and napkin for him, with a tiny, patterned rice bowl placed to the side for his drink.
Megumi deconstructed the sandwich and cut the bread, cheese and cold meat slices into smaller pieces while Yuuji warmed some milk in the microwave and added a few drops of honey from Ijichi's personal stash. Nanami-pom waited patiently, even though his stomach had signaled great hunger earlier.
When everything was ready, he tucked in with solemn appreciation, slowly feeling his way around the use of his new body. It was obvious that the paws were more deft than those of the average pup and that he was able to grip objects. He managed to pick up and eat the sandwich components, which he chewed with relish. The pads of his paws slipped on the smooth porcelain of the rice bowl, however, and he resorted to lapping straight out of it as it stood on the table.
When he was done, Yuuji offered him a biscuit to eat with the remainder of his milk, which he graciously accepted. Nanami was known, among those close to him, to be partial to a small, after-dinner treat and coffee.
While the students helped themselves to their own purchased lunch, Ijichi returned, phone clamped between shoulder and ear, balancing a stack of folders in his arms. They caught the tail-end of his conversation.
"Yes. Yes, that's right. The order came through our branch here at Jujutsu Tech. Yes, it's been approved. The team? I see. But what about a senior sorcerer? All right, please get back to me as soon as you get confirmation on that."
He dumped the folders on the desk and glanced over at Nanami-pom who seemed to be dozing comfortably on top of a cushion on the sofa in the corner. Ijichi lowered his voice.
"He's handling this remarkably well, isn't he? If it were me ... "
Nobara nodded, but Yuuji looked downcast once again.
"That's just Nanamin. Even in the worst situations, he's all calm and strong. But I ... sometimes I don't know what he's thinking. What if he's really worried on the inside and just not showing it? You know. So he won't make me feel bad for what happened."
Megumi tsked.
"Stop moping. It's not gonna do much for Nanami, is it? Whatever happens, we're all on board and we'll help. That curse user sounds tricky, but not too powerful. Now that we're prepared for how his abilities work, we won't be caught off guard."
Yuuji nodded, perking up a little. Offering a smile, Ijichi checked his phone as a message alert lit up his screen.
"Oh, the team handling this case has been picked. It'll be you three and one of our qualified Grade 2 sorcerers, Takuma Ino.  He specifically asked to be assigned to this case once he heard the details. Also, one senior sorcerer."
Yuuji looked slightly puzzled.
"Takuma? Don't think I've met him before."
"I have." Megumi folded his arms. "He's fast, strong. Competent. He's worked with Nanami on cases before. That's probably why he's keen on this."
"Oh?"
Yuuji looked excited at this news, but Nobara was frowning.
"Wait, senior sorcerer? They normally hang us out to dry with these tricky cases, so why the sudden caution? And who's the sorcerer?"
Ijichi checked his phone and shook his head.
"It doesn't say. But normally, they'd be assigned through personal request. Maybe it's someone else who knows Nanami - "
At that moment a loud, very familiar voice echoed down the corridor outside.
"Naaaa Naaaaa miiiiiii. Where, oh where are you? Is he in here? Hey, hey, Shoko, where is he? When I heard, I just had to drop everything and come over. Oi, oi, where's he hiding? NAAAAA NAAAA MIIIII."
The three students stopped eating, chopsticks slipping from Megumi's fingers to clatter noisily on the floor. Ijichi's grip on his phone had turned white-knuckled. They all looked over toward the corner, where Nanami-pom had been sleeping peacefully. The transformed sorcerer was now sitting upright, eyes fixed on the door, tension in every line of his small form. His ears flicked in distress and he looked over at the students, a mute appeal in his stoic gaze. Rising to the occasion, Nobara stood and strode over to him.
"Don't worry, Nanami. We won't let him do whatever he wants. We know how to handle him."
Yuuji sprang up and waved his hands.
"Yeah, don't panic. It's just Gojo. What could he possibly -"
The door slammed open and the tall form of Gojo loomed over the occupants of the room. Even though it was futile, the students and Ijichi formed a stalwart barricade around Nanami. A roguish pose held them all prisoner as the man in the doorway edged up the corner of his blindfold, an almost predatory grin spreading across his face.
"Well now. Look at this little gathering. All of my cute students and the not-so-cute Ijichi. But my, my, what could you all be hiding behind you? Yuuji, be a good boy and move aside."
Yuuji shot him an anguished look.
"Please don't annoy him. He's had a rough day, okay? And it's all my fault he's like this. Don't make everything worse."
Gojo sauntered in, closing the door with finality behind him. His expression morphed to one of indignation.
"What? Who said I'd make everything worse? I just heard that he'd been transformed into a - "
His words cut off abruptly as a diminutive, yellow form pushed forward, past the legs of the students. Standing straight and confident, Nanami-pom rose to his full height, which was halfway up the length of Gojo's shin, and shot the special-grade sorcerer a calm, but challenging glance. His short arms folded across his front in a familiar gesture. Gojo's mouth hung open for a full minute before he collapsed to his knees, propping himself on his elbows until his eyes were on level with Nanami-pom's. He lifted his blindfold and the profound delight reflected in his glowing gaze almost blinded everyone in the room.
"You ... oh, this is ... he made you Pompompurin?"
Gojo rolled over onto his back and promptly lost control, body heaving breathlessly with laughter.
"Oh, oh, this is too ... Nanami, you're so... I can't ... I'm gonna die - HURGH"
The hysterical laughter cut off with a loud squawk as Nanami-pom's temper got the better of him and his small, very sharp teeth latched firmly onto Gojo's ear.
"Ow! Ow! Get off! Okay, okay! I'm sorry, I -"
The students watched in surprise as Nanami-pom held on like a piranha with its last meal, his little paws jabbing repeatedly and painfully up Gojo's nostrils.
"Ge - get him off - aaargk - okay, stop I'll -"
When they finally separated (Ijichi trying and failing to conceal his grin when he spotted the row of tiny punctures that decorated his senior's ear) Gojo had the grace to look contrite.
"Fine, fine. No more making fun of Nanamin. Got it. But, but, please let me just -"
His hand shot out and he tickled Nanami-pom's snout before emitting a squeal so high-pitched he could have knocked a fruit bat off-course.
"Wow. So soft. But we can cuddle later. For now ... " He rose and caught Ijichi's eye, "We'll find the curse user who did this. Any leads yet?"
"They've narrowed down the area he could be hiding to an old amusement park. Our windows are monitoring the area as we speak and reporting back on any suspicious activity. In the meantime, we're just waiting for Takuma to arrive and complete the team. He was very insistent on helping out."
At the mention of Ino, Nanami-pom's disgruntled expression relaxed and his ears lifted slightly in recognition and pleasure. The door opened once again and Ieiri looked in, eyes tracking over the occupants of the crowded office until it landed on Nanami-pom.
"So, I've been running some tests on samples I took from Nanami earlier. I've found something. Bring him over to the examination room."
Exchanging glances, the students hurried out of the room, Nanami-pom evading Gojo's grasp once again as he scampered nimbly up the back of Yuuji's jacket and hung onto the red hood.
