Happy Holidays @yewgeneolgia ! Here's Ringabel and Infinity Airy hanging out, hope you have a great year! I'm glad I got to draw a fairy, and my favorite one, at that!
Maybe Airy should've settled to buy a pair of earrings or something... !
(Tagging @bravelysanta as well)

Pencil and Ink Sketch inspired by yet another TAD song - Old Witch Sleep and the Good Man Grace
Look, this is just one of my fave songs and it has some of the best lines, too. I had to play with it. There’s a lot of imagery to be gleaned from this song - it’s 8 minutes long! (i wouldn’t be surprised if I play with it again and again to see what i get) - and these are just some of the aspects, inspired by these specific lines:
“They’re just shadows searching for light”
“Then the hollow folk come, pour me wine by my bed”
“Then the hollow folk pour me another shard full of glass”
“You are in the earth of me”
“Let’s bury this”
“Sometimes I fall to pieces just to see what bits of me don’t fit”
“‘Cause we’ll dance together, so close we’re sharing breath”
Not sure if I’ll get around to cleaning this one up, but if I do, I think I’ll keep it black and white, maybe a touch of yellow for the light...

c. 1870s | A pencil, ink, crayons and watercolour drawing by Margaret Rolfe, it shows Madame Taglioni's dancing class, at 6 Connaught Square. Madame Taglioni, a retited ballerina, taught social dances later in life, and here we can see her correcting a fair-haired girl that is Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, who was one of her pupils.
Some parts of the text are written in French and some are written in English, the one above Madame Taglioni and the future Queen Mary goes:
Princess Mary: “Can I listen to what they are saying about the party? Oh! do let me listen, please, just for a minute!”
To which Madame Taglioni answers in French.
(I do believe, though I may be wrong, that the text was written by Queen Mary herself, the M, R and A looks like her handwriting later in life, though it might’ve been as well taught to some people to write those letters this way, so I am not sure. Mind you, the drawing is from the 1870s so if it is indeed QM’s handwriting, she was still a child then and these things do change as we age, and experiment with the style of our handwriting.)
