(Jesus Christ, I barely know how I would go about writing this but I really want to write it now. This is what I get for watching Code Geass and reading subsequent CG fanfic, I get ✨ideas✨)
When Radavasia ran Zahashenie, the current Empress who rules this sector of Wrath that is galaxies upon galaxies of peoples and planets, is assassinated, the last thing Heiress Amileen fir Maddan Ahsiyaan expects is to be chosen as successor.
But it is precisely she that the Darkness crowns as Empress.
Left with no choice in the matter and precious little time before she is whisked away to the homeworld, Amileen does what her heart begs of her and chooses the Earthling girl she's spent years upon years aching for—ever since she was sent as political hostage to First Lady Lyanne Calloway's Earth and met her one and only child—as her personal knight.
It's been years since that day, and Ingrid, now her classmate, is no less her beloved. Even moreso that she is a soldier, for all that her teenage years would declare otherwise. For war is relentless, and this Earth is no different.
For her part, Ingrid can no more deny Amileen her obeisance and utter, eternal devotion than she could when they were little girls and protecting one another in the wake of an Earth torn to tatters and ravaged to ruin by the bloodlust-driven hordes of Hell.

she may be just barely an adult but ingrid already has big plans for the future: she wants to be famous. and not just for anything, oh no, she wants to become a famous fashion blogger/vlogger.
she’s originally from brindleton bay but recently moved to the city because she felt like that would be the best place to really jumpstart her career.
she has a lot of energy. and i do mean a lot. it’s not hard for her at all to get up early in the morning and immediately start working on whatever project she’s focusing on right now.
right now she’s working as a stylist, gotta get in the money somehow, but she’s hoping that soon she’ll be able to branch out - once that influencer fame hits her. it’s just around the corner, she can feel it.
even though she still seems like she’s very young and inexperienced, she’s definitely ready to settle down and start a family. she’s never really been one for all that wild dating around stuff anyway. as long as her future partner will still go out and party with her sometimes. she still wants excitement in her life, obviously.

he’s a charmer, talks a big game and can make himself larger than life even though he isn’t. the reality is he’s from very humble roots and was raised by his single mother.
most people assume he’s rich because he’s in massive debt to keep up with the lifestyle but he can’t stop himself.
obviously not the most powerful but EASILY the most popular guy on campus with both guys and girls; extroverted people person with a great sense of humour.
on the hockey and football team and most 1st and 2nd years crush on him. (he’s a fifth year)
he & el met in first year and started dating. she was the one to break it off when she discovered he was cheating on her with her then bestie. (nobody can really decide if it’s true or not)
his darker side came out when they broke up. he has a serious fixation on eloise to the point where it’s very possessive - hence why she doesn’t date too much.
they’re not fwb but there is def sexual chemistry from time to time.
MILA ROMANOV (27)
another fifth year and eloise’s ex-best friend who allegedly slept with hunter. she didn’t, but she wanted to.
“always the bridesmaid, never the bride” actually sums her up. mila has a tendency to be overshadowed when it came to her and el; eloise was the rich, talented, feminine one. mila was just mila.
she originally joined st judes as a swimmer but made the switch to acting when she saw how much more attention girls in that sector got.
she crushed on hunter all through his and el’s relationship and actually liked him first, but never told anyone so el didn’t know.
rumours about mila and hunter started to circulate when a sex tape got leaked with two people who looked suspiciously like them. the truth was, mila WAS the girl but the guy wasn’t hunter. however, mila saw the opportunity and took it. she got to el first and told her it was her and hunter.
now hunter & eloise are broken up, mila thought she’d be in with a shot but it’s been two years and he’s barely looked her way which makes her jealousy even stronger given she can’t even call el a friend anymore.
definition of “looks like could kill you, is a cinnamon roll.” she just wants love, ok.
MAX DAVIES (26)
the younger brother of hunter and the one who actually slept with mila
max doesn’t have the charm of his older brother and is rougher around the edges. he doesn’t try to hide that he’s working class and tbh, hates that hunter tries to be something he isn’t.
he DOES try to earn money for his mother, however, and to do that he’s become somewhat of an entrepreneur around campus. he knows st judes kids love drama and pissing people off...so, he charges people to do their dirty work:
- want someone to kiss someone else’s gf? £50
- need someone to start a fight? £25
- need a stand in boyfriend? £30
he’s polyamorous and is strongly against the idea of closed, one-on-one romance because he thinks it’s too much pressure.
he is VERY aloof and doesn’t get too close to anyone in order to maintain his business...if you think you have a bond with him, think again.
JORDAN HANSEN (23)
eloise’s step-brother. her mother’s step-son from her new relationship.
he was diagnosed with intermittent explosive disorder at thirteen. his mother doesn’t really know how to deal with it and it puts a lot of his personal relationships under stress.
what people don’t realise is he was exposed to a lot of domestic abuse from a young age; his mother used to hit his dad relentlessly, throw things at him, verbally abuse him etc. jordan felt helpless and had a weird sense of “toxic masculinity” where he hated his dad for not standing up to her.
he is VERY distrusting of women and doesn’t get along too well with eloise’s mother but tolerates her given they live under the same roof.
he’s 23; just 4 years younger than eloise.
INGRID JAMESON (25)
eloise’s step-sister. her mother had ingrid AFTER her relationship with gerald. (basically; el’s mum had el with gerald, ingrid with a new man and then married a third time to jordan’s dad)
ingrid could never understand why SHE couldn’t go to the calloway on weekends and do all of the glamorous things eloise was doing. when she got old enough to understand, it made her massively insecure. she felt like she always had to compete with the calloway sisters to get eloise’s attention.
she’s OBSESSED with fame. she’s a make-up artist but also owns a stan account under a secret alias and indulges in pop culture as much as humanly possible.
eloise doesn’t really want ingrid to have anything to do with the girls. not because she hates her or likes her less but because anthea JUST about tolerates eloise, she’d ruin ingrid.
ingrid can come off as desperate and a bit of a poser. she just has a massive inferiority complex and never feels good enough.

Red suede boots tapping, swinging back and forth as she sat with her legs stuck through the Calloway railings, Ingrid looked like a petulant toddler put in a playpen for a time out. Sitting on the landing, she knocked her feet together, starting to slide one of her boots off with the other foot, smiling deviously, tracing the path it would take to hit a boy in a leather jacket if she finished with the task. But then she stopped herself, leaving it dangling form the end of her foot, looking up, eyes briefly recognizing someone. “you can really see everything from up here. Saw some guy nearly yak onto the girl who’s ass was grinding on him. Exhilarating,” she informed them, although if she were excited by the sight, her face didn’t portray it. The vintage, white fox-fur coat slung loosely around her shoulders nearly dwarfed the blonde, like she was lying in a snowbank, flakes gradually burying her. “You want to sit? The floorboards are more comfortable than they look,” she offered, gesturing to the space next to her, finger tracing a small circle on the floor. “I’m surprised there’s another party so soon after the ranch. Want to go in on the class action lawsuit I’m filing against Yates for liver damage?”

A few delightful things I’ve noticed recently...
Brandon Coleman’s Porter has some absolutely wonderful character driven touches that I’ve never seen. Very very on point.
Ingrid Kapteyn’s Sexy Witch...follow her!
Marc Cardarelli was throwing off some super crazy murder eyes during the fight with Banquo. I was impressed and creeped out.
Isaies Santamaria Perez‘s Fulton/Cunning Man is also doing some small very character driven moments that work really well. One of them is SUPER creepy and involves a new prop. (Or I think it’s a new prop? If you follow Fulton, I think you’ll see it.)
Nate Carter’s Boy Witch continues to be fantastic. (Dear McKittrick Gods...can he please be Porter? Please, please, please??)
Continuing in the recent tradition of new bits, Bostyn Ashjian’s Matron also did a thing with a boat that I hadn’t seen before. I don’t follow Matron very often, so it’s possible I just missed it, but very cool nonetheless.
The threesome of Calloway, Hazel, and Kit in the bar is hilarious and worth stopping in to see. They do “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” as a trio, and I laughed out loud several times.
From afar, Ernesto Breton looks like he’s killing it as Macduff, but I get so sad following the Macduffs that I haven’t followed him. I really need to change that.
Note: to the woman who’s ring I helped find, I’m so glad I could help! Hopefully we can chat one day...
Second note: I just realized that reads like I’m talking about Hecate. I’m not. There was a lady in a white mask. With a lost ring on the 4th floor. I helped her find it. She definitely wasn’t Hecate. I’m almost totally sure.

SNM #29 RECAP
I haven't done a recap in A MINUTE but last nights show was 100% worth talking about. Kit and Cordelia were in the bar and Kit was taking about how Calloway asked her marry him. What a couple that would be! The mask ritual was so funny with Kit and James being very flirty and fun with each other.
Upon walking into the Ballroom I saw that Ingrid was Danvers! I've heard so many good things about her and after full looping her I can see why! Ingrid's Danvers is SO creepy and cold. Her tormenting of Lady Macduff was so sadistic. Her scene with Lady Macbeth was also a stand out really playing up the Rebecca parallel. I feel that Ingrid's Danvers strongly desires Lady Macbeth. Ingrid is also such an incredible dancer. I was in awe of her Macduff flat solo which was charged with witchy energy and very sexual energy and her door dance specifically this ritual she did before Macduff arrived. It was almost like she was conjuring the door. So awesome!
I then found my way to the Rep Bar and was immediately taken for a 1:1 with Virginia's Hecate. I hadn't had a Hecate 1:1 in awhile and Virginia reminds me why Hecate is so beloved. Her powerful eye contact, menacing nature, and that wicked laugh are incredible. A pleasant surprise 1:1 indeed!
When getting on the elevator I saw that Evan was James and knew i wanted to follow his Taxi a bit. Evan is wonderful and I have been wanting to see him in a role for a bit now. Unfortunately I'm never usually there on the nights he's on. Thankfully I got to full loop his Taxi. Evan is actually very funny as Taxi. He has so many little quirks and affectations that amused me greatly. I can now say I've finally full looped Taxi!
After being led to the final rave by Taxi, I ended my show with Porter and Danvers. I was walked out by John William Watkins's Porter which was lovely. Overall a wonderful (and not crowded!) show!

“That’s fucking gross,” was all that had left Ingrid’s lips when the boy in front of her wrung his hands, drunkenly confessing his crush on her. Her voice was disgusted, expression blank as his face fell, disappointment flooding his features. She willed herself to conjure up an ounce of sympathy for him, practically begging her cruelty to leave her body like a parasite exiting its host, but yet it did not budge. “Sorry, Tyler,” she corrected herself, the sentence coming out robotic and obligatory, knowing it was the right thing to say, wishing she could force herself to say more. In truth, she couldn’t imagine what he saw in her. Not in a self-pitying, self-hating sense. More that she couldn’t imagine why he would like her so much, when she was clearly unable to care for many more people than herself. She didn’t have anything to give him. Her eyes excused herself after a long period of uncomfortable silence, flitting around the room in search of somewhere else to be. She always hated Calloway parties, felt like a spinning ballerina in a music box twinkling out a piano tune for the entertainment of children pressing their faces closer to her as she spun. Some of my friends asked me what I think about “Cat Person” by Kristen Roupenian published in The New Yorker magazine, so these are nine things I think. Number 3 is not controversial.
1. Pulling his second wife toward him: They’ll be out there discussing semantics, and we’ll be in here, on the bed, quietly humping.
Offended soon to be ex-wife: There are people outside from The New Yorker magazine! What would they think??
~Woody Allen made that joke 40 years ago, but people still care what the people from The New Yorker magazine think.
2. Roupenian, whose last name suggests she is already her own adjective, describes a movie theater as “artsy” FOUR TIMES in this story. Remember: The New Yorker is a magazine famous for its scrupulous editors the way America is famous for its torturing army. I keep imagining an editorial assistant at The New Yorker scrolling through Instagram, Ingrid Thorburn-style with one hand, and, with her red pen in the other, making “PBR” a dotted acronym—or crossing out the underwhelming assonance of “initial dismissal.”
3. “Cat Person” is not that much worse than Hemingway’s “Hills Like White Elephants” (go ahead, re-read the sparks notes.)
4. The New Yorker is the magazine that wouldn’t print “fuck” five minutes ago and here in this story it prints “you make my dick so hard.”
5. What’s great about “Cat Person” is that it has never been workshopped. The fiction writing workshop voice I keep hearing is “don’t call it an artsy movie theater FOUR TIMES, especially in the age of streaming”... or.... “you say on page 14 that Margot is 20 years old, but I can’t tell if she’s 7, 17, 27, or 70.”
6. "Cat Person” is a not-hot version of a half-story from Marie Calloway’s 2013 book What Purpose Did I Serve in Your Life? Or a not-hot version of Mary Gaitskill’s “Romantic Weekend.” It’s nice to see “alt-lit” bleed into square culture. Gawker is dead, but this is still alive at the highest levels of the literary profession.
7. “Cat Person” reads like YA fiction written by a 11 year old about 25 year olds for a 48 year old hot pants audience. In other words, it sounds like mainstream American Fiction today, yesterday and tomorrow.
8. A million dollar book deal. Who gives a shit. What’s a million dollars, really, like $60? J.S. Foer also got a million dollars after he published his Sammy Davis Jr. Jr. story in this same magazine. I’m not sure if Irwin Shaw published “The Girls in Their Summer Dresses” in The New Yorker, but “Cat Person” is "Hills Like White Elephants” compared to that classic American Short Story.
9. In conclusion, I think what gets professional literary people initially-dismissally about this short story is that it’s not a professional literary short story. It’s not even amateur, which would be much worse. It’s JV, clumsy, sans-story. Sorry, professional literary people. Sorry you got shot in the face. Sorry this story didn’t erase itself. Sorry Kristen Roupenian hit one out of the park.

There were some rumor on the second-hand ticket selling platform: you have to dress provocatively and behave fearlessly in order to get a 1-1 or interaction, and I always believe it is absurd and any decent performers would not go that low until today, I have to regretfully admit to some performers, it is true.
I started my visit following Ed Warner’s Malcolm. It has been a while since last time I followed him in this role, and to make things even more exciting, he paired up with Garth’s boy witch (aka my dream duo). It is so fun to see those two at the ballroom. I was sitting at the edge but then as it always happens these days, some white mask decided to stand right in front of me blocking all my views, so I was forced to move. Ed Warner‘s expression is different from my memory, but it is nevertheless fun. You see his sadness during Duncan’s funeral, his confusion with boy witch and his curiosity/interest with Agnes. During the card game, all his eye contact towards John’s Macduff and Mingchao’s Banquo are just on the spot.
After realizing three cunnings were at the dance floor in the ballroom, I figured it could be Chiang Paosu as Cunning again. For the every first time, Cunning, husband and bride are all Asian, so I have to follow cunning again. I thought the dialogues would be in Chinese, and I was half right. Chiang Paosu speaks half Chinese and half English to Gao Yang, one of the many things that do not make sense in his cunning. I actually feel Gao Yang’s husband shines with Paosu’s cunning. If I am biased, below are the facts:
Loop 1: Paosu went to high street when Banquo has not yet arrived. Of course, in these days, it is no longer a news. Instead of waiting for Banquo to leave as other cunnings do, he decided to just go ahead and run. Luckily he had almost no followers, so he reached to the detective room before Banquo’s arrival to the exit. With all the extra time, he did not know what to do in the tailor shop, so he just played with the cups again and again.
Loop 1: The last time I was the only one in Cunning’s office was already March. I was shocked to see everyone just left with Gao’s husband, but it is clear all the white masks made their choices. As someone emotionally attached to this character, i can’t just leave so I stayed. There were some white masks entering the office but just after one minute, they all left. The picture remains cunning sweating and looking at the snake skins... No emotion, no variation, no difference. I actually stayed for the second loop just to make sure...
Loop 1: During his loop, white masks were playing with his props and when he took out the contract, one white mask actually tried to took it over. Clearly those white masks were not treating him seriously as a performer and they didn’t respect him as a performer. The only thing I can say is that I didn’t interfere with his performance and I was wholeheartedly following him. I should stop but again, it is cunning...
Paosu and Black Mask: Never in one show, I have seen so many interactions from black masks. Besides black masks passing by Paosu, they even opened door for him, intended or unintended, it just shows bad cue either from Paosu or black mask.
Loop 2: He was focused on his snake skin and bible, and Agnes has to say “excuse me” before he realized what he needed to do next...
I understand the hotel is in a bad time with tons of injury, yet at least he should try to observe Cunning more before he attempted to take on this role again. It is even fine he performed like this as at least he was here, but I was really irritated with the way he picked his 1-1s. in the beginning, when I said nudity worked for certain actors, I meant explicitly him. I am fine with no one picking me even if I was the only one following that character, but for the first loop during his 1-1 timing, besides the unwanted me, there was one other guy showed up there. Actually there were only the two of us. When Paosu was on his 1-1 spot, he looked at that guy, the one wearing shirts, and then decided to close the door and not give any 1-1s. I thought he might not be ready for the 1-1s and I was really curious about his cunning 1-1s (since it might be in Chinese) so I went on following him again in the second loop. Then, there was some attractive girl that clearly dressed accordingly to the tips, Paosu just grabbed her. I actually feel sorry for that guy now. After witnessing this, I asked myself if I was willing to dress up for any 1-1s, and the answer is if someone picks any interaction or 1-1s based on that, he is not worth following. Of course I realized I might never know if his cunning 1-1 is in Chinese or English, yet my integrity comes first, always.
I missed Andrea Carrucciu‘s Macbeth, so I went to see him in some scenes. I love his emotion and the way he entered the rep bar. He kept screaming “my love my love” on his way to Lady Macbeth, and his wall solo is just beautiful.
Of course when following Macbeth, I have to go to the next scene and find a relevant good spot first, and this made me realize the perks of being a black mask in Mckinnon. They are not there to maintain the order but are there to watch the show. In the rave scene, I was standing besides the collar with two layers of people in front of me and one girl literally sitting besides the table where sexy witch dances. One black mask asked me to leave and I thought he would try to ask those people to stand behind but I was wrong. The black mask just asked me to leave so he could stand at my spot watching rave. I was so naive to think black masks should help the show. Then the crowd following Macbeth just punched me and pushed me so I accidentally touched that black mask again. I know I will once again have bruises from watching this show. I had enough.
Another thing worth mentioning: Wang Mingchao is definitely still very much injured as in the third loop, Maya’s sexy witch and his banquo just ran to porter’s office instead of doing their duet. I really respect his professionalism, and if only Calloway can just ask all the audience to stay further from the performers instead of discussing his sexuality in his opening speech, some audience may listen. From what I heard while waiting, the general perception besides the “dressing code” is that you have to be aggressive and close enough to get any interaction. This is from a guy who claimed has watched this show a couple of times. He even recommended boy witch to all his female companions just because of the shower scene. I heard white masks talking to each other saying “I am going to leave now, something is happening at some place” loudly when I was following Paosu today. This is a absolute insult to those artists, but somehow it did explain a lot.
