Hello, I read and love your Chained Series but only now noticed the Major Character Death tag on the second one, since I moved from part 1 to part 2 without checking the tags/summary. I normally really really really do not touch Major Character Death, it just... well it just makes me really sad in a way i don't enjoy, to keep it brief, even when it's plot or story wise fulfilling a purpose.

This is in no way me asking you not to do it, it's your story, and that's how it should be!

But I was hoping if you'd be willing to give me some information around the MCD, who for example (or if this'll straight up be a bad ending overall), so I can emotionally brace myself because I really don't want to stop reading the fic, because it's really good, but going further into it blind feels daunting, in a way. I will of course not relay anything regarding the fic to others, that you might tell me (since idk how familiar you are with tumblr: there is a way to respond to asks privately in the ask-post settings, if you prefer).

If you're not happy doing this I completely understand, it's your story, but i figured it's worth asking.

I would be quite happy to explain what I've got planed with that! I deliberately read spoilers for similar reasons all the time; I totally understand wanting to be forewarned and forearmed. Also I'm just happy to ramble about my fic lol :3 If ya gotta drop it, no worries, glad you enjoyed the first sections and I don't mind anyone takin care of themselves

You're probably not the only one who'd want to know so I'll just put all the spoilers in a read more:

First of all, I don't consider this to be a particularly dark story (though granted I don't consider Death Note to be a particularly dark story so uh your mileage may vary) nor do I see it ending in tragedy.

The planned deaths:

The Joker - So, he's not really a main character in this fic, in fact, he might not even get speaking lines, I'm unsure right now, but he's major in the comics so I'm counting it. It's not going to happen for a VERY long time but it is so pivotal to the functioning of a main emotional plotline that I don't know how I'd write around changing my mind about this one.

Captain Boomerang - Like the Joker, I'm not really even sure he'll get speaking lines, but he's important enough to Tim's other canon stories he makes the cut. Unlike the Joker, I don't actually know if he's going to die yet! At the end of Red Robin Tim tries to kill him but fails. I don't know if my older Tim will do it, but I am certain he'll go at least halfway through a second similar plan. Much will hinge on what I read of his interactions with Huntress.

Other assorted villains, such as Darkseid and the Batman Who Laughs - This will depend a lot on, again, my reading of how Tim interacts with the kind of violence Huntress brings to the table. It also depends a lot on how a few in-fic decisions shake out. Tim has to make the decision as to whether or not they kill more people than just the ones on his small list from the first fic and I've got a more solid idea for if he does than if he doesn't.

Roy Harper (and a few other Heroes) - He's not gonna stay dead though, none of them are. So, due to hesitance and fear of fucking shit up Jason and Tim aren't going to make some key decisions in time to prevent the whole "Heroes in Crisis" plotline from happening. Once they learn of this they are immediately going to start doing mad science to figure out how to resurrect people safely. And, of course, they have the power to time travel.

Jason Todd... Kinda. - An increasingly large and loud elephant in the room is gonna be the fact that Jason doesn't have to have died. Ever. In any timeline.

Tim could save him.

But of course that would mean rewriting the Jason he knows out of existence. There really isn't a clear cut moral equivalent to doing this? But I feel emotionally it would count as this/our Jason dying.

On the other hand if Tim refuses, he is deeply morally responsible for Jason's actual already happened death... but will have saved our Jason's existence.

Tim's decision of whether or not to save Jason's child self is THE emotional climax of the story. One of the main purposes of Chapter 12 was foreshadowing how each character will react to this very situation.

I can't put another read more, so if knowing the two options is good enough for you turn back now! And if you wanna know what Tim's decision is (I sure would!) scroll passed the two big pictures!

Tim refuses to save Jason's childhood self. He loves this Jason too much to emotionally withstand losing him. I have had this story beat and the resulting fallout planned for absolute ages and I'm 100% certain on this one. Frankly, timeline erasing the Jason we know and love would make ME cry too much to keep writing it lmao, so this one I can guarantee.

Oohh spooky Twig Boys that I may or may not slightly slightly enforce my southernness on (only the good southernness like cooking, music, hospitality none that other shit) I'll be more than happy to oblige anon hehe. It's not often I get to talk/discuss the masters of fear.

Again gonna just kinda discuss all the ones I write for since I'm the most informed on those versions so sorry if I missed one and the post got long lmao

Masters of Fear Scarecrow: since you asked for him specifically I put him first lmao. And this Jon is just incredibly endearing? I think he's an adorable spry kinda guy that, like most, deserved better. I'm also super fond of his design. Also as someone who writes for "x reader" it was nice to see him...actually have a romantic interest? (albeit she was a bully bitch) listen listen...any extra info in a romantic sense of a character I will take

Arkhamverse Scarecrow: Uhh can I just say, absolute whiplash in design and mannerisms lol. While I enjoy both its like...such a bizarre change? Like yeah he did go through something traumatic (being very close to dying) but like...a total voice change? Maybe there's some behind the scenes explanation or something I don't know but yeah...I do enjoy him being whimsy and silly in Asylum and brooding and stoic in Knight with his waxing poetic lectures...but also also...does anyone have any idea how Knight Scarecrow's face works? Like his mouth and such?

TNBA Scarecrow: Definitely a more gritty and intriguing take, especially considering its a revamp of BTAS. Allegedly this is the idea of Scarecrow with a noose started? And now we've seen it incorporated in other designs which is pretty cool.

BTAS Scarecrow: Much like Jervis and I think Batman as a whole, this was my first Scarecrow encounter, and cause of such there's a wee bias to him being one of my favorites lol. Super rich voice, I don't care if he's terrorizing me, I will die of fear peacefully. Solid design and a super strong depiction of the character overall? Also my god his theatrics, top notch such a dramatic lad I love him.

Dark Knight/Nolanverse Scarecrow: pretty eyes...pretty eyes..strong jawline..pretty pretty scarecrow..huh, what? Oh..uhh yeah he's...fine I guess..I mean like not just fine as in fine as hell just...meh? I don't know I just remember him being stupidly criminally pretty. Although to be fair I don't recall much about him..sorry (granted I don't recall much about nolanverse as a whole...its been at most five years rip)

Year One Scarecrow: it took me an embarrassingly long time for me to actually read Year One rip. But it was very gut wrenching. It was the best updated take I've seen on Jon's origins and just how deeply rooted he is in his obsession, and it was a unique way too? Like it was an interesting take on the broken family scenario, I dunno I just thought it was super enriching.

Fear State Scarecrow: so I will say the designs for him are jarring as there's like..a different artist between the beginning, middle, and end of Fear State. But I like both looks, especially in the middle where he looks a lot like his BTAS counterpart. It was an amazing surprise to see the spikey red hair and wide eyes again in comic form and more realistic but still animated? I hope that makes sense. But I loved the story, and he was especially cunning and ruthless here.

Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! Scarecrow: asdgggh this boomer asshole lmao. But definitely one of my top three favorites. He's a decent blend of old and new for me. Like he bears resemblance to BTAS but also some other comic appearances, he doesn't even need to he in the costumer and you can just tell he's Jonathan Crane. Also his voice is amazing, and I will forever be grateful to the writer that decided that Scarecrow was a fucking Elvira fan boy. Like of fucking course he'd love Elvira, Mistress of the Dark asdfghjj one of the few times where canon got it right lmao

Notes on FDA

A list of notes and possible FAQs about certain decisions and ground rules I’ve made throughout the writing process. If you do have any other questions, feel free to shoot me an Ask or a DM, and I'll try my best to answer!

Canonicity

Establishing the canon for this story, and this series as a whole, is difficult, to say the least. For one, while most of the Slenderverse series share a canon universe, Marble Hornets does not. I also did not follow the ARGs as religiously as other fans do when they were at peak activity, so I might be missing details from there. As of editing this in 2023, the canon comic sequel series to Marble Hornets has introduced new lore that makes it even more difficult for me to fit it into everything I've established with this work so far (the Ark sequence was cool as hell but it sure threw a wrench to my plot planning).

Obviously, add in popular creepypastas like Eyeless Jack and Jeff the Killer into the mix, as well as a pinch of SCP Foundation, and it is, indeed, a horrifying amalgamation of something.

That being said, I still want to make this work, and to do that, I do need to bend, or even break, a few rules. I will try to be as faithful to the original material as much as possible, but to find a way to connect everything in a way that ties the most loose ends and makes the most sense with what bits of lore and information from each series, it may mean that I will have to omit some things and change others.

If you don't like it, don't read it, and don't come at me with torches and pitchforks. Make your own thing if you want. I am but a simple fan-fiction writer trying to make something that made me happy once.

Time & Setting

I first wrote this story in 2017, hence why the story is set in 2017, because up until that point, I was still pretty much up-to-date with what goes on in all the fandoms attached to this story. 2017 also happened to be the year that everything sort-of started to die out; EMH, which was the only series with some activity back then, was in "full ARG mode" as I was told, and I did not participate in any of it because I had IRL things to worry about.

During the 3-year hiatus I took in writing, I did work on the timeline of this series—a lot—and I can safely say that it is better for this first book to be set in 2017 rather than present time, considering most creepypastas were set/created in the early 2010s. I also did the math, as best as I could with what little information I have, for when all the pre-story events would have taken place (including canon events) and it's all conveniently lined up if I had the present story set in 2017.

As for location, “New Haven” is indeed the name of several real-life locations in the United States. But none of them are the actual setting for this story—I really just chose a generic town name that's nice and possibly has a metaphorical meaning to the story, but don't sweat trying to look into it. Other named locations would be established canon settings (e.g. Alabama for Marble Hornets), or derived connections to other canon settings (e.g. Skye, Jack and Toby are from Denver, because Toby was canonically from Denver, so story-wise it would make most sense if Skye and Jack were too).

Theme, Content, Genre

You won't find fluff here—not technically, anyway. The reason I say this is because I want to clarify to potential readers that this is not the type of fan-fiction where everybody knows each other, everybody’s friends with each other, and they all live in a giant mansion in the middle of the woods. This story is about as real as the ARGs would be, where not everybody is guaranteed to like each other. Really, it's more likely that they don't.

But I don’t often see creepypasta fan works that focus on the humanity and psychology of these characters. I know the more monstrous ones technically don’t have humanity, and they don’t have typical psychological processes either because they’re monsters and they’re not real. However, I as the author, and as someone who enjoys and majored in Psychology, am very much interested in these topics and how they would apply to these characters, if they ever exist. These people, their characters, and their relationships—it’s what drew me to the ARG series in the first place. I want to explore that more throughout this story, as much as I can.

So yes, relationships exist, but their nuances are much more complicated, and that's personally the best part about writing this story.

Ticci Toby

So about halfway through the book, Toby Rogers (F.K.A. Ticci Toby) has like one actual appearance, and only mostly mentioned or referred to by other characters, despite originally being billed as one of the main characters in the story. This was done on purpose.

In the time I've worked on this story, Toby's creator grisgrisdoll (F.K.A. Kastoway) has publicly stated that they are distancing themselves from the creepypasta community, and wish to move on to other non-pasta-related art projects. Presently, their new concept of Tobias Rogers has no affiliations to Slender Man or creepypasta. All in all, the character belongs to them, so I want to respect their wishes as much as I can.

My original plan was for Toby to have a larger role as we go along (think recurring character getting promoted to series regular). He does still have a pretty big part in the plot of the first book, and frankly, a big part in the background story preceding the book's written plot, especially Skye's background. Because of this, while I can eventually remove him from the plot in future installments, it's impossible for me to remove him completely from the first book, without pretty much completely overhauling the entire damn thing.

So instead, what I can do is minimize his appearances for as much as possible, and only writing him into scenes when absolutely necessary. In the meantime, I'll also be taking caution in staying true to the original material as much as possible, as I do with almost all creepypasta I include in this story.

Tr*beTw*lve

If you've been here a while and read the story in its previous iterations, you would know that Tr*beTw*lve was originally one of the series this story was heavily referencing from. It was also one of the bigger contributors to the Slender Man mythos and lore in general, most notably expanding the concept of proxies.

In 2020, it became apparent through multiple allegations that the series' creator has done terrible things that I personally condemn and do not condone, and as such, I will no longer support anything from him, nor do I want this dear project of mine to be affiliated to anything derived from him in any way, shape or form.

Since then, I've worked to remove all references to TT from this story, and changed all the plot-relevant details that were derived from TT, to tie in more into either Marble Hornets or EverymanHYBRID, or more original ideas (yeah, I have those too). There are some previous drafts that are still currently available to read that still have some references, but in the future these will likely be rewritten, and these references will be removed as well.

It was fun while it lasted, but hey at least my brain spawned another couple sequel ideas because of this development, so it really did work out for the better for me.

So, I've started my little star comic! What's next? Well, I dunno! At most, I'll probably work on the comic when I can. To be honest, I don't know how often I'll be able to work on it because as of typing this I'm a senior in high-school, getting ready to graduate, then go to college this fall, and hopefully get a job and move out sometime. Hoping to whatever is holy I can move out when I'm still 18 ToT.

As for any other comics I'll work on, they're a possibility. So far, Little Star is my priority, and if I do start anything it'll probably be short or be revolved around my OCs exclusively.

Hello dads,

I'm finally writing to you like I wanted to for a long while. But it was hard to find the words, you know? Each time, I ended up crying and messing with the ink after the two first sentences. But I guess I'm more ready now. Am I really? Well, I'm as ready as I can. And it only took me what? 14 years! It has been a long while, uh. I'm no longer the child you knew.I'm 21 now. No, actually I'm 22, it's my birthday today. I lived longer without you two than with you now...

I have to warn you, Daddy, Dada, this letter will be long and probably messy. A lot of things happened in 14 years and I want to lie down on the paper many thoughts I had during those. So hum, story time ?

I don't think I'd muster the courage to make this letter without a recent someone's visit. You must have seen them before, they were carrying a message from you after all. And what a message it was. I'll write it down here. I know you surely remember it still but I'm gonna keep this letter anyway and I never want to forget it. I'll put it at the end of the paper so you can easily ignore it and I can easily find it to read later.

I never want to forget something that important ever again. Like I did with Mu when I was young. Yes, I remember Mu. I remember my dear little sister. And you were right, she was alive. I found her randomly when Lint dragged me- Lint is a friend who is also a half-sister? Like one of her parents is you, Daddy, but less dark ? Ok so, I found her during a play trip. She was in a house in an empty town nearby. Near where you died. Oh, I thought my hand would shake harder than that writing that! I guess time really heals anything...

Well almost. You're still pretty much dead. So I found her so no need to worry anymore! She's doing extra well! She decided to go to school in a deltarune au. You must know this kind of universe, well Fancy told me you knew and since he has your memories I think I can believe that information. Fancy is one of the persons who took care of Mu by the way. He's a nice guy. You would have found him a bit weird? Especially with the whole "I-was-born-from-a-war" thing. I should ask him what you'd think about him later...

Speaking about the war stuff...

Yes, I know why you left. However I'll do as if I didn't hear your message yet or learnt what I know for a second. I'm gonna be honest, a lot of things went through my mind that day and none of them including the fact you left without warning to fight in a war you'd die in. Once I learned the truth. I was relieved about one thing. You didn't leave because of me. I thought for long it had been my fault. That I had been a bad child that you ended up being fed up about. It's probably why I tried so hard to please anyone I'd reluctantly accept to get close enough to call them family. At least, that way of thinking did give me a new family. Plenty of siblings and friends spread across universes and multiverses. I never was truly alone since you left but for long I felt like I was alone even with others. I couldn't get the right words on it when I was young but I guess I really missed you. Yes, even you, Daddy, I don't blame you for shouting at me when Mu disappeared. Not that I think it was right of you to do that obviously. But I forgave you long ago. So don't you dare guiltrip yourself with that!

When I'm still not ready to forgive is the fact you didn't tell me you were leaving the house... Hey but I'll write you another letter when I'm ready. So don't you worry about that! And give me a bit of time. I promise I'll make an effort about that! :D

Also you know how you were worried about the fact I couldn't use magic ? Well except for vital stuff like seeing or eating. I can use magic! I still can't do stuff like throwing bones, summoning constructs, heal easily or just move my tentacles (I'm a bit salty I never manage to move these but life is life) but!

I can do portals !

Really inconvenient portals but still!

I use them to visit various universes and gather stories! Oh yes I forgot to tell you. I'm a sort of storyteller now? I move around, listen and tell stories to who's ready to listen. It's not a well-paid job or something very important but I like it. I know you'd prefer if I had been some kind of warrior however I stay pretty bad in a fight. I had plenty of people who tried to teach me some moves and it never stuck. Even if I did know how to fight, even then I'm not sure I would nonetheless. But I know how to dodge and I'm fast so I usually don't even have to think about fighting ! I wonder if you'd like my friends? Lint is a bit chaotic but always somewhat nice to others, Mynn is responsible but stubborn. Would you have liked my adoptive siblings, Shine and Malignance, as well ? They saved me. And continued to save me again and again since then. Without asking questions. I never felt alone with them. Well, I felt alone but I never truly was? I don't know if I'm making sense but I can't explain it any better.

What could I tell you other than that? Oh yes! I know what's up with my magic. A monster named "Sci" or was it a nickname ? He examined my soul. I know you told me to never show it to a stranger but it was a health matter. My family. Uh my new family I mean. They wanted to be sure I was ok. Because as you know, my healing is far worse than most. I didn't understand everything. But it's a matter of corruption, he told me. My soul and my magic doesn't like the corruption I was born with so they fight. They use all their strength to avoid that the corruption touch my soul and that's why I can't move my tentacles! They're just not connected to my soul ! Which sadly means I'll never be able to move them but at least I know why... I just hid them in my backpack these days, it's easier than dragging them around. I was told to avoid being low in magic and big stress? I'm not entirely sure why but I swear I'm being careful ! So don't you two worry about that. I'm making friends from everywhere and life is great. I still miss you sometimes. Often.

Do you know sewing with a knife isn't that hard? As long as the knife isn't too sharp and the string too thin it's pretty easy. I practiced for a while and now nobody would be able to guess I'm making my stitches with anything other than these horrendous things called "sewing needles". Let's not talk about those...

I'm running out of things to say, am I not? I need to say goodbye soon. But I don't want to. Not yet.

I waited so long, wishing to be able to say a proper goodbye. However, now that I have reached that moment... I don't want to anymore. I feel as if you two (or more so my memories of you two) will fade away the instant I write these final words?

Allow me to be selfish for a little longer, will you?

I need to end the letter soon, I'm starting to shake again.

But I just wanted you to know I survived alright. I couldn't follow all your advice as I got your message a bit late. And I would have loved to find the knives you were talking about but Fancy told me the house was destroyed... I don't need them anymore however.

P1 - Given how great you're track record's been for doing hypothetical interactions of Amphibia kids with the Duck kids and Owl House kids, let's try doing the Duck kids meeting the Owl House kids and who they'd like the best. I'll exclude Violet for this for the sake of evenening things out 5 to 5. I'd assume Luz would get along best with Dewey (both jump into adventure), King with Louie (could see em teaming up for a scheme), Willow with Huey (eh, more leftover interaction but can work)

First of all I’m very pleased to hear you find my track record on these posts good, they’ve been really fun to write and it makes me really happy people like them! Second I am so sorry it’s taken so long to get to this ask, it’s a really in depth one and it took a long time to write, I hope you’ll find it was worth the wait!

Aight! Oh and one last thing real quick before I get into it. I hope you wouldn’t mind me adding Violet back in, partially due to the fact I love her, but mostly because there’s actually another owl house character I think works significantly better with Louie than anyone else and I really want the chance to talk about that. Saving that one for last hehe. This’ll be another long one, writing below the cut.

Luz and Webby So I do like a lot of the possible interactions brought up by your suggested grouping but my mind went in a few different directions. I’ll start with Luz, who would fit in best with another excitable adventuring partner, as pointed out, but I think the best fit for her in that regard would actually be Webby. While Dewey would no doubt get along great with Luz, there’s a special element to the potential relationship between Luz and Webby that really elevates the potential of their friendship to another level, that being: they both want to eat a hamburger.

An aspect of Webby I wish the later seasons of the show got into a little more, but is definitely something I would consider a core part of her character, is the fact that she got held up in the mansion her whole childhood, with no opportunities to interact with the world around her, have all the adventures she wanted, and most importantly to just be seen as the kid she wanted to be. And while Luz was technically able to go out into the world, the place she found wasn’t one that was willing to see her, or give her any of the chances she longed for. Both Webby and Luz fully understand that feeling of being trapped in your own life, of finally getting the chance to break out and just doing your best to make the most of it. I think there’s a lot the two could gain from spending some time together.

(Also, to borrow the bit about gushing about their crushes but from the other end, these two would totally get sidetracked talking about their respective crushes and also trying to play wingman for each other. It’s a massive comic disaster in both cases, but somehow both Lena and Amity manage to find it endearing).

Amity and Violet Okay wait lemme explain. While the two of them don’t have a whole lot in common at first glance, I think they would genuinely get along extremely well. While a lot of Amity’s focus on school came at the force of her parents, you cannot honestly expect me to believe that girl isn’t a studious nerd on her own anyway. Heck even outside the realm of studies she throws her full dedication into literally every single thing she does. Remind you of anyone? Beyond just being extremely intelligent Violet is clever and ready for anything. She takes everything in stride and always has a plan, she can go from “we were sleeping over and you said everybody get on the plane, so we got on the plane” to “I brought an axe” in a minute flat.

I like to think the two of them would have a mutual respect for each other based on their respective intellects upon first meeting, but as they become closer friends they find they can move from more serious respect to a casual enjoyment of each other. I would go as far as to say that both of these characters really value dependability in a friend, and that they each provide a lot of that. To wrap back around to the stuff about intelligence I think Violet could provide a lot of insight to Amity as far as showing her that pursuing studies and academic heights of her own volition can be something that she can just do because she wants to, and that’s no excuse for unhealthy parental relationships. Getting along so well with someone like Violet only to see that her parents are actually really loving and supportive, that would be really eye-opening for Amity I think. For Violet’s part she could get a lot of help from Amity as far as her pursuit of the secrets of magic goes. I suspect Amity would be much more interested in the study of her magic than Violet would be able to get Lena to tolerate lol.

Bonus Round: Amity would absolutely be a senior junior woodchuck and she would love it you cannot convince me otherwise. She starts quoting the JWGB around the owl house kids and they all look at her like she’s crazy.

Lena and Willow I feel like this one might seem a little out there at first but trust me on this one. Initially Lena doesn’t think too much of Willow, being as close as she is to Webby she knows liking flowers and cute things doesn’t mean Willow is automatically to be taken lightly but she feels like she’s got a good read on her that she generally prefers to avoid trouble and turns down opportunities for violence, which isn’t really Lena’s deal. Over time Lena figures she was right about her first impressions as Willow doesn’t seem to take many opportunities to expose some hidden power, even when Lena knows the people around her kinda deserve it.

She learns to adjust her opinion when she finally does get the chance to see Willow in action and realizes that girl is more powerful than any of the other kids she’s met in the boiling aisles bar none(yes this is my genuine opinion of willow if you don’t think she could kick your ass you’re wrong). It’s at that moment where she starts to pay more attention to Willow and notices a lot more of the strength she puts into all the little things, how much she cares for everyone and everything, and it does a great deal to show Lena that maybe having super strong magic powers isn’t mutually exclusive with being kind and gentle. And maybe gentle isn’t her thing but still, it’s nice to know.

For Willow’s part she’s just happy to make more friends. Especially if the opportunity arises, as I like to think it would, when they’re close enough friends, that Lena would start to hint around asking questions about how Willow remains so casual and nice with the ability to do so much damage, and Willow takes the chance to help Lena figure out her magic a bit more, and learn how to better appreciate it as an aspect of herself she doesn’t have to be scared of. (I mean come on Lena never really learned how to do any of it except barely kind of from Magica of all people she could really use something like that).

Huey and Gus Now there are some certain things about Gus that would drive Huey absolutely nuts. His lack of primary and reliable sources for any of his information being a big one, but at the end of the day I think he’d enjoy Gus’ desire to learn in the first place. Gus would probably be a little dubious about Huey’s “sources” and “citations” but if it helped him get more info on the human realm he’d certainly go for it in the end. In that way the two balance each other out pretty well. Gus is studious and intelligent but he’s a little off the wall, he’s got a big creative streak, and he’s really excitable. Huey is really really good at facts and analysis but he lacks the strength in imagination that Gus has. Huey is able to take all the grandiose concepts Gus is able to think up and help make them actually happen. Gus has that specific brand of an adventurers soul matched up with the fact he’s not actually the type to get into danger and fights, meaning he’s able to drag Huey out of his comfort zone a little and help him reach new heights with his mind that his struggles with creativity prevent him from reaching, while managing to not make him feel like he’s actually in danger. I actually believe the two of them together could get some really incredible stuff done.

What I’m saying is that with Huey’s help Gus could absolutely complete his tunnels under Hexside.

Dewey and King Now this, this is the pair who would go incredibly well together, at the detriment of literally everyone around them. If there is one person King “I Will Rule Everything” Clawthorne should not be exposed to its Dewey Duck. Within minutes of meeting each other the two of them would immediately have so many bad ideas. Between Dewey’s insistence on being the best and most daring adventurer while putting his name on everything and going down in history & King’s trying to rule everything and everyone, the attempts to raise the stakes would be constant and the two would spend literal hours endlessly trying to one-up each other. All in one day they search for legendary treasure, discover an entirely new civilization, try to take over said civilization, create a new species just to name it after themselves, and build statues of themselves in the middle of Bonesbourough. And that’s all before lunch.

Louie Here it is. The one I waited till the very end for out of sheer excitement. I even kept the second name out of the heading thing. That’s how secretive I’m trying to be about this. See, there’s one character in the owl house that works so well with Louie it’s practically canon. Their interactions have so much potential, they each bring so much to the table, I just couldn’t Not talk about it. And yeah, I know this ask was specifically asking about the owl house and ducktales kids, but I just couldn’t resist talking about the relationship between Louie and Eda.

A con artist from another world who was so successful she became nationally famous? There’s no way Louie would pass up an opportunity like that. For his part I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already managed to set up another underworld identity in the boiling aisles, or at the very least that Eda could totally have been to the ducktales realm and heard of his one there.

Either way I’m convinced the two of them would start planning a heist as soon as they figure out who each other are. Eda is a little prideful and wants to show this kid he can’t out-con her, but Louie knows what he’s doing just as much. Honestly with the two of them combined Eda wouldn’t have to worry about losing her stand for a long time. Over the course of their planning and seeing Louie in action Eda begrudgingly gains some respect for the kid, and while Louie was definitely just using her as a learning/profit opportunity at first, he’s pretty susceptible to getting attached.

For Louie, it’s the fact that she actually respects him for being good at what he does. Even back with his family who all love and care about him and all that he still feels like most of them don’t really get what he does or see what’s special about him, so having someone who made a whole life of it be even a little proud of him feels really nice.

And of course, at the end of their heist when they finally have the money in hand, and Eda just casually hands over his half, he stares at her like she’s crazy.

“You’re just.. Giving it to me?!”

“Well, yeah. That was the deal wasn’t it kid? I mean if you really want I definitely have a few ideas for it.”

“No! Uh, no, thanks, I’ll keep it. It’s just that you really remind me of someone, I guess I was expecting something else.”
