thoughts/ideas that ive had with the rise turtles under the cut (btw its kinda long and its just me rambling. youve been warned)

ive had 2 ideas for aus. One of them is like a splatoon au and the other one ive just titled “bad ending”. I’ll elaborate a bit more on that lower but first the splatoon stuff:

ok so the turtles might be octolings just because I want to stay more lore accurate so ig living in a sewer would be the splatoon equivalent of being an octoling before splatoon 2 (and octo dlc) events (but I really wanna just make designs for both species for all brothers anywayssss)

also new idea I literally had while typing this but what if eye masks were color of masks. so like raph having a red eye mask, mikey have a orange one, etc

ANYWAYS ive already decided (for now) what weapons each brother uses:

-raph uses a splatling, probably a hydra. or maybe tenta brella

-donnie uses a charger or a blaster (but most likely the charger.

-leo uses any splatana. I dont think he’d care which one in particular

-mikey will either use a slosher deco (since it has zipcaster) or an inkbrush. uhhhh yea their ink would probably be different colors. maybe the ends of the hair would be tinted green though. or maybe during specials itd be the same colors for all of them. btw specials would be the same as using their ninpo

splinter would be like cuttlefish to the agents in regards to the turtles. so he’s not their biological father nor the same species but hes still a father figure. april would be an inkling

OH OH NEW THOUGHT. since in the show mikey would hide in his shell sometimes I think the splatoon equivalent of that would be going squid form (or in their case octopus form)

uhhh I havent watched the movie yet but I know a lot about it SO I guess that the equivalent of the krang in this universe would be like. mr grizz. I dont think itd be like a tartar type of infection because you can physically remove the krang from your body and once youre sanitized you cant remove it (unless its like an agent 3 thing) but personally I think an infection more like the fuzzy ooze would fit better because unlike getting sanitized it makes the victim feral WHICH has more similair behaviors to the krang than getting sanitized

OK NEXT IS THE “bad ending” au idea

again, havent watched the movie yet (trying to finish the tv show first, im on episode 14) but basically its an au where everything is bad and nothing is happy (<- could not for the LIFE of me figure out how to phrase it and ended up with this. sorry lol)

but uh ig to make it a bit more clear (man my grammar sure is something rn huh?) I wanted to make an au where the ending was already “set” but I could add things like backstories and lore sooo imma have fun with that once it happens >:D

ill have to watch the movie to flesh out the events a bit more but what I have right now is that casey was never able to find/warn the turtles in time of krang invasion and that ended up with each of the turtle brothers getting corrupted. AGAIN. I WILL WATCH THE MOVIE. AND READ LORE. sorry if this seems inaccurate to movie stuff (even though this au really only needs the lore from the very beginning of the movie)

a little spoiler for the au (because I kinda wanna make little comics or stories for them..) but raph got corrupted first, then mikey (but hes not technically “fully” corrupted), then donnie, and then leo. april and casey are both still alive but splinter is missing. not dead or anything but just missing

ANYWAYS. *claps hands together* HEADCANON TIME (also ideas that ive had to draw. you can use them too if you want just credit me mk)

once raph got flipped over on his shell and instead of helping leo used him like a beyblade. he was NOT happy

mikey has (on several occasions) drawn on his brothers shells when theyre asleep or not paying attention (for donnie he draws on the battle shell lol)

if mikey really wants their attention he'll scream really loudly

sometimes leo will put stuff in donnies coffee to make him sleep especially if donnie hasn't sleep in a while (cause donnies a stubborn bitch who thinks sleep isnt real)

raph once got so mad he broke an entire arcade game and then had to go get a new one (haha L)

all of them dont think they need therapy (they do)

sometimes when donnie talks for too long leo will just go "BREATHE."

final headcanons below because I wanted to separate them from the rest (what happens in arguments depending on the brothers arguing)

mikey barely argues with anyone but when he does argue (and is serious about it) he does NOT hold back

raph and donnie arguments are usually what its like to have arguments online (donnie tries to explain why hes right and raph just goes "nuh uh ur wrong and im right")

raph and leo arguments are much more common and heated than stated above. raph will usually raise his voice towards leo and then leo will just not care and try to make a joke out of it (that always turns out badly). sometimes they even cry lol

donnie and leo arguments are VERY physical. leo would say something and then when donnie says something back hed push or shove him and then that turns into a full blown fight

they always make up though :3

ROUND 1 . 9!!!!!

other & doc,,,

other was a dome octarian, a result of an experiment to see if you could make a stronger octarian trooper if you mixed their creation with the birth process of an octoling a bit more. ew.

doc is a surface... inkling until those inktolings are confirmed. he knows octarian from a few friends, making him the only one out of himself and his two roommates that could fully communicate with whitegirl wednesday until copy learned some inklish

other is a MASSIVE fan of the band "plywood political party", manned by tyr (hi tyr), aro (hi aro), and misha (who is, again, way too swag for this tournament.). more than that, she ADORES tyr's solo act, the drying scotsman, and has every piece of merch he released.

doc's real name is pyom gerra, but he's so embarassed by it and loves his profession so much he seriously prefers to go by doc. he has a squiffer in a cabinet in his office in case of emergencies (like sanitization zombies, or perhaps a teammate needing to be revived). he has great fashion sense and leads a fashion blog on inkstagram - although he doesn't realize the sheer amount of followers that he has...

APRIL MAY AND WISTERIA!!!!!!!

I LOVE THEM. they're berro's (HI BERRO!!!) best friends in highschool and they're so great. mostly side characters but they'll have a significantly larger point in the plot if i can help it

april's the daughter of the "slime king" - at least, that's what us earthlings gotta call him. he's actually a remarkable diplomat who came to earth to scout the Vibe.

being a slime, she can change her appearance at will - although, for human relations to stay strong, she has to maintain a mostly humanoid form. through some mistranslations and misunderstandings, she believed cows were the dominant species on earth... she was so disappointed when she found out that was not in fact the case

wisteria is a mantis! like most bug-humans, he can hide his more insect-y features at will, but xe really hate it. xe only is hiding them here bc i forgor. sorry wist

i actually don't have much on xem since i redesigned xem... so im gonna talk abt their origins as a hollow knight oc:]

part of the mantis tribe, xe were nearly exiled for being.a guy. but proved xyr worth by healing a majority of the village & all domesticated animals in it (this is, post infection duh)

he was the very first veterenarian, and the village's main medic for a while... i trust xem

he was so visibly autistic in his in-character journal i wrote for him that my nt friend said he was Weird and it was SO WEIRD HE WROTE SO MUCH DOWN SO REGULARLY. if that means anything

Kirby is rambling about Splatoon OCs again

Gonna be a long one so I’ll do a keep reading below this point. Comment or re-blog any thoughts you have! Or Retweet like and comment if you’re coming from Twitter!

I’m gonna start with Kit, she is the first created OC. Kit and Kat are sisters, with Kit being the older by a little over a year. Kit wasn’t a very connective big sister to Kat, she loved Kat but didn’t really know how to relate with her or talk to her without getting frustrated that her little sister doesn’t understand her either. Kit drifted apart from Kat but after everything that went on in the deep sea metro and returning to find out Kat became an Agent, stopped Octavio all because Kat was searching for Kit. She felt so proud of what Kat had managed to do all on her own, but also guilty she hasn’t been there for the most important mile stone for every Inkling; becoming a kid from a squid for the first time.

Until the beginning of Splatoon 3′s story, Kit and Kat resumed living together but away from their parents eyes. Allowing the two to become a lot closer and Kit to open up to Kat about why she went away. Kat was a little hurt but understood and is happy to have her big sister back. Their relationship is very stable now and their communication is strong! So when Kat left with the squid sisters to find Cuttlefish after being made Captain, Kit told her exactly what was going on and where they’d be and kept contact even during the time when she was helping to save the Splatlands from Mr Grizz’s plans.

Kit wasn’t the only one Kat found of course, Kit had brought back with her Agents 8, and 8, the Twins known as Kirby. This took a while for Kat to understand why they wanted to use the same name, and days of frustration of her trying to talk to one, only for the other to respond instead.

Kat is the one who actually began to read the data that Marine and Pearl had recovered and even talked with the both of them about what was found in the metro. Kat is the one who discovered that the Twins, along with 7 prior octolings, had been lab grown by Tartar through the bodies, and collected data from Octarians he had tricked into the Metro. The goal for Tartar was to create a body that would be able to withstand the pure sanitation of his being, and allow him to spread the sanitation at a more rapid rate. Much like a zombie infection, with a octoling body his ink would just be sanitation, and even the smallest amount would infect and spread in any organic life.

The body needed to be strong but so did the mind, this was confirmed by Kit after a month of reliving the events of tartar in her. The twins when told this by Kat, just looked at each other and went ‘Ohhhhhh’ like a switch was flicked. Kat was confused until the two, going back and forth picking up where one would finish a sentence for the other, told Kat they had many memories that didn’t make sense in context of others that they have.

For example they both remember fighting Kit, but they don’t remember the other being there when they fought Kit, but the memories they have they should of seen each other there. This is because these are memories of other Octarians. It also explained why they knew the moment Tartar let them out to begin tests, that Tartar while being their ‘dad’, wasn’t someone who wanted their best. So rather then following orders the two ripped open an air vent and where gone. Tartar was unable to retrieve them and they began tormenting him with songs and generally doing annoying things.

Kat finally understood why they where so single minded together, they are basically the same people and have only been alive for, at this point a year. Knowing this Kit and Kat took on more sisterly roles over the Twins, who torment Kat by moving things to high shelves that she has to either ask Kit to get down, or climb to get herself. The twins while goof balls did take things more seriously when Kat would be serious with them, such as their first trips out to Inkopolis with her. She made sure they kept out of trouble, but encouraged them to have fun in turf wars such as wearing funny gear and using a funny weapon (bamboozler) and to play matches how they want to.

The Twins call Kit Big sister/sis and Kat Little Big sister/sis, between each other they usually call one another Sister/sis or Brother/Bro. They’re rarely seen apart int he first few years living with Kit and Kat but by year 4 they’ve started to become more their own Octos. The Kirby boy loves to drive his scooter around and will make deliveries for locals, but the Kirby girl doesn’t enjoy it she gets motion sick on the scooter so usually just lets her brother cover it. She likes to scavenge for neat objects, so cleaning up homes and back yards and areas like that is one of her favorite things.

Before going into their relationship with Tempest, I’m gonna cover Tempest’s with Kit and Kat first.

Tempest and Kit where awkward about each other, Tempest wouldn’t talk and Kit didn’t know what to say. Luckily the Squid sisters are good at ice braking and Galen is adorable enough that he’d distract the both of them with his little song and dance. Kit is impressed with Tempest’s dedication, once seeing the danger they where in Tempest cleaned up all the fuzzy in each area and it took her only 3 days in order to get to Mr Grizz. This fired up Kit, which was helpful when she needed to power the machine they built to cut through the worst of the fuzzies though she didn’t expect her landing to be so rough.

When Tempest first looked into Kit’s eyes she had been reminded of a story her father told her once. In Kit’s eyes she could see the legendary Kraken, a power only Inklings could really harness without a special can or weapon with the special activator built in. To control something like that, Tempest thought Kit could help her learn some control too.

After the battle with Grizz, and after the following celebration they had, Tempest found Kit with the Squid sisters in Alterna still doing some exploring of their own and sending the information they’ve found back to Agent 4, as Tempest was told. Kit was surprised Tempest knew she could Kraken, and was confused by how she could teach Tempest anything with it until Tempest explained her own ‘kraken’.

When Tempest had broken free of Tartar’s restrains she had become something different, at leas that is how she feels about the memory of it. She had felt a blinding rage in the moment and didn’t even feel the sanitized scar he had left behind on her from when she had ripped through his mechanical body he used to preform his biological experiments.

To this day she still feels that same rage bubbling deep inside of her, and a few times its come out while she has been living in the splatlands. She hasn’t hurt anyone but it has made some trouble, such as giving her a reputation for being a ‘feral octoling’ and making socializing harder. Kit understanding the kind of rage she was facing worked with Tempest to wear out that rage in a more healthy manner. Battling, which was a surprise to Tempest that preforming violence was the answer but it did work. The more she and Kit battled one on one, the easier to got to control her own rage. She is grateful to have a Captain like Kit, and this was reflected to Kit when her Christmas present from Tempest arrived days before Christmas itself. From scraps of metal and other plastic bits she had made a small figurine for Kit of a Kraken wearing a captain’s hat.

Kit loved it, and then remembered in that moment Tempest was going to be alone on Christmas. With Kat’s skills they got themselves and the Twins packed up and on the next train to Splatsville. Kat and the Twin’s first visit here and their first meeting with Tempest.

Kat seeing Tempest was reminded of the Twins in some ways, how quiet she was reminded her of how the Kirby boy will get very quiet and use sign language to talk when he is stressed. Having learned it from him Kat had used it to greet Tempest when it was Kit who introduced Tempest and not Tempest herself.

It was a little awkward as Tempest doesn’t have furniture in the octarian base besides a few chairs shes managed to repair some blankets she got cheep from thrift shops in splatsville and a tree she made from scraps of metal and plastics and wires. Kat loved it all though, she thought Tempest was very creative and able to scrounge together things into something new and more useful to her present. Luickally Kat came with a load of gifts, some for her sister and the Twins but she also got things for Tempest, lots of pillows and blankets and a set of Salmon themed pajamas and a set of red socks with fluffy white tops. Kat was a little worried about the clothes but Tempest actually loved them the moment she opened the package up and was happy to join into the idea of having a Pajama Christmas with them in her home.

Kat caught feelings when she saw Tempest letting her walls down around them as they where opening gifts together while they had a classic Christmas movie playing as background noise for them. The little smile Tempest had when she discovered the golden eggs on her pants where able to glow after exposed to UV light. It was so cute Kat had to squee so she turned into a squid to hide the sound better and just played it off as her relaxing. Kat is a tiny squid, Kit is massive but on average Kat is much shorter then others her age. Between her and Pearl they’re about the same height it would be hard to tell the difference between them without really making them stand side by side and stare for a good minute or more to tell for sure.This extends to the squid form.

Since meeting Kat Tempest has a desire to pick up Kat and just carry her around. Shes tiny, shes sweet, friendly and the most adorable squid Tempest has ever seen. Kat falling asleep on her on Christmas is something Tempest rode high on for weeks after and thinking about it helps her to get to sleep. Tempest doesn’t know if this is love like shes felt for her family, it feels like it but also different. It makes her happy thinking about Kat’s face, or the spots on her tentacles or how warm her body is when they hug.

(They’re totally in love but at this point of the story I’ve written they haven’t admitted it yet to themselves or each other. Kat doesn’t want to rush Tempest cause she can tell she gets a bit stressed from all the emotions even if they make her happy. Tempest is still learning how to process them and still figuring out how to outlet them and what they mean to her.)

This leaves the Twins. When they first see Tempest there is this feeling of familiarity, something Tempest also has when seeing them, and its not just the color of her scar, or the color of their eyes. There are things about them that reminds Tempest of her parents, but also her siblings. Its strange to Tempest since no other Octoling gives her this vibe. The twins instantly refer to her as Elite Sister/sis, Tempest is confused by it but doesn’t tell them to stop using the nickname for her either. She refers to the boy as Kib and the girl as Kibby as she gets to know them both but when she is talking to them both or is being serious or angry with them she will just call them Kirby. They know they’re in real trouble then.

Kat is the one to tell Tempest about where the Twins came from, that dialog lead to Tempest revealing to Kat, that she had also been int he Metro at that time 5 years ago. The Twins rebelling helped to let Tempest escape and avoid recapture, she had left the Metro before the final battle had gotten really started but she had heard the battle from the distance, which lead her to keep running and running until she ended up in the mountain range at the edges of the splatlands where she discovered the abandoned octarian base she lives in now.

Tempest’s retelling of her story, excluding gory details outside of ‘Tartar dissected my family’, to Kat is what led to Kat hugging Tempest to comfort her and eventually being Kat falling asleep because Tempest agreed to a long hug but didn’t want to talk too much more. They focused on the movie until Kat fell asleep which Tempest spent more time watching Kat sleep before falling asleep herself as well.

I’m gonna end this with Galen and Tempest’s relationship. A way I describe it is Galen is like an emotional support animal, except he is also able to speak and understand Tempest on a fundamental level too. Most of their conversations are just vibes, Galen is very good a reading faces to the point he seems like a mind reader to Tempest. He knew when he found her just laying in the hot sands and sun of the splatland wastes she was in distress and knew that Ink can help hydrate inklings and octolings and had found her detached ink supply and used it to splash it on her.

Tempest at first saw Galen like an animal, his sounds and erratic behavior reminded her of pidgins a bit. As she observed him and became to understand his way of communicating with her, She saw him as a friend, but this quickly changed into he is her little brother who needs to be protected. She had tried to help him get ‘home’ as she didn’t yet know the truth that he isn’t allowed to return to his kind. Once she had realized this, she became his new family. Galen doesn’t call Tempest sister, he refers to her as his friend, or Tempest, but Tempest will say he is ‘my little brother’ but also use his name Galen.

They taught each other their names after finding Galen’s comb, he used the pointed end to write in the sand his name, and Tempest did the same using her finger. Galen had learned the Inkling writing language so he could follow the Squid sister’s band tour that had attracted him away from the spawning grounds. I’m outta writing steam now, thank you anyone who made it down here for reading. :>

Had a dream where there was a series of games that was an offshoot of splatoon that was dubbed "splathell" by fans, made for an older audience. It was basically resident evil meets splatoon, a darker and grittier setting, with grizzco functioning kinda like umbrella. You could choose from 3 species to play as, inkling, octoling, or salmonling. You could make your own custom character or choose from 6 preset characters, 2 for each species

It was still in progress, the first game being "cohozuna calamity" and the second one being "horrorboros horror show"

So the octo expansion story and the mr grizz plotline are combined in this version of the universe, with grizzco being the main corporation behind both sanitization and the fuzzy ooze (in this universe the fuzzy ooze works much slower too, rather than instantaneously making you fuzzy it works more like an infection), and you have to fight off both the sanitized and fuzzy horde

You get healing items, an inventory, weapons, etc., like a regular survival horror game. Depending on which difficulty you choose you will start off with different sets of items, easy giving you 2 decent weapons, 5 healing items, and higher hp, normal giving 1 decent weapon, 4 healing items, normal hp, hard giving 1 weaker weapon, 3 healing items, and normal hp, and extreme having a 50/50 chance of giving you a weapon or starting you off with nothing, 1 healing item, and a slightly lower hp. The weapons still functioned how they do in splatoon but were made to fit the aesthetic a bit more

The games are named after their final bosses, cohozuna and horrorboros. They were created by grizzco as bioweapons for war. There are early moments where you see/meet them, but you cant really fight them at these moments. The game allows you to play with up to 3 other players, though if you choose to go solo the other 3 players will be replaced by ai with a randomly generated set of characters (taken from the presets)

The focus of my dream was on horrorboros horror show, specifically the final battle against horrorboros. Good lord was it terrifying

Oh man. The lil pearl robot in side order reminded me of this dream I had like. Four years ago now??? I wrote it down after waking up from it but it's a hot mess to read so I'll have to edit it down to be sensical when it isn't 2 am. But BASICALLY

Sanitized octolings were robotic and had "exoskeletons" made of hundreds of little circuit chip things. They were all confined to an above-ground subway train and would have to fight each other for parts as they slowly wore down. A lot of them were missing pieces of their faces or limbs bc those chips had been stolen

The POV character was Pearl, but a robotic version who was also built from the chip technology. She was trying to get off the train and ran into agent 3 + a regular sanitized octoling (either Ded or 8, I couldn't remember). As she fought her way through, she had to take parts from defeated enemies, but their sanitized code started to slowly infect her. The chips started rearranging and covering her face w the appearance of dark glasses like all the sanitized robot things and she was slowly losing herself

I think I turned it into an au back in the day, though I never did much w it? I know that robotic pearl had been an artificial reconstruction by Marina, complete with AI, as were the sanitized octolings -- but I can't remember if that was part of the loose story I made or actual context of the dream

RELEASING THE JPN FANTASY AU ART finally. I really wanted to draw AU Tartar and the Squid Sisters before I released these, but obviously I never got to it. Wrow. We’ve got Octarian soldiers, a “sanitized” Octoling, my agents 3, 8, and 5 (4 is bad luck and is often skipped over), and Dedf1sh

The setting is vaguely Fantasy 1850s Japan for Squids, and, although I never got around to drawing relevant art for it, Octaria’s aesthetics was going to be based off more 1600s feudal era Japan. Tartar is a horrible mass of fungal goop that infects inkfish hosts with fungi. I had a lot of fun in this world but clothing design is very hard lol

Headcannon timeline final part.

Prior to 2nd Zapfish raid: after hearing Calimari Inkantation, many Octolings are free from the brainwashing effect of the goggles. Many successfully reach the surface, among them a a young engineer prodigy from the Flooder Design Team, Marina Ida. Many that stayed, even under the goggles, feel discontent with oppressive Octarian life. Among them is a soldier known now as Agent 8. Eventually, her craving to experience the surface gets the better of her, and she leaves.

Octo expansion: Once on the surface, she runs into Cuttlefish and Agent 3. 8 and 3 erupt into a fierce battle. Due to the weapon 3 uses being identical to the one used by them later on, I head cannon this may be a replica used in turf wars because of the much slower rate of fire. Why is unknown, it might be that her usual gun is being repaired. Regardless, before the fight could be concluded, the 3 of them are attacked by soldiers sent by the Kamabo Co. they are subdued before they notice their presence.

These soldiers are the product of Commandar Tartar, the same AI created by the Professor to stop the next worthy species from creating Humanity’s mistakes. Unfortunately, the incredibly Vague phrasing and the fact the being the only intelligent anything for 10000 years was starting to take a toll on their sanity meant things didn’t turn out that way. Tartar was disgusted with the Inklings materialistic, capitalistic culture (I headcannon this is why he shows a clear bias towards Octarians), and this was what drove him to concoct his own DNA to replace the new life on earth with, contained within a teal-colored sludge. This sludge, unfortunately, has the unfortunate side effect of effectively turning the any cephaling infected with it into zombies; they are clearly brainwashed, they have unnaturally green skin and perpetually teal tentacles, they have no pulse, and their eyes go completely black except for their iris, which turned a shade of teal. This is a process Tartar calls “sanitization”.

8 awakes in a station in the Deep Sea Metro, owned by Kamabo, run by Tartar, with no memories. The events of Octo Expansion take place. This also takes place at the same time as the 2nd zapfish raid.

(6) Right, that all sounded pretty solid. I don't have much to add because I keep my perception of canon happenings in the world very vague on purpose because it's ultimately not something I can decide. My biggest question REALLY (or wonder, rather) is how the hell the Octarian domes are structured in a way that apparently there is a very strict society yet hundreds of people can just... leave. Like do they leave through the kettles? Where do the kettles CONNECT? (likely random domes, but come on, NO ONE is guarding those???) Yeah....

y'know I think if all my variations of tartar wound up somehow being able to meet each other (under a readmore because this is LONG)

tartar:

gets along well with 2.0, since they're basically the same but do have some differences

really doesn't like taeden since he did get the prime directive accomplished but did it in a way that left the world intact

would be somewhat disappointed in teremun for going through with his plans but getting depressed over it later, because 'are you kidding me how could an attachment to people make you REGRET THE THING WE'VE BEEN WORKING TOWARDS AND FINALLY ACCOMPLISHED'

is surprisingly neutral towards meme au taeden despite him going on a good path; considers his actions reasonable

refuses to interact with tasnim if he can avoid it, for reasons unknown (with the reason being that it actually makes him sad to see a version of himself that never went for such an extreme solution)

very firm in his belief that pokemon au taeden and tartar could've done great things had they not split up. also not a fan of the fact that he's apparently brothers with taeden here, and is a bit surprised that pokemon au tartar is so calm yet so intimidating sometimes (though he’d never tell that last bit)

not sure what to feel towards taiko

2.0:

considers it an honor to be able to talk to tartar despite just about knowing the same stuff

doesn't understand how he and taeden wound up so different despite having come about almost the same way

sort of gets why teremun got depressed over what he did, but still thinks that he should be happy that he achieved the goal

not very interested in meme au taeden, but thinks his tech is worth learning about

also not very interested in tasnim, but the process of growing his own body and then transferring himself into it is very much worth learning about

just the tiniest bit afraid of pokemon au taeden and tartar

wants to understand taiko's sanitization process better

taeden:

feels sorry for tartar, but knows he can't be swayed

really wants to take 2.0 apart for what he did to percy

tries to stay neutral towards teremun, but does like him some- upset that he went through with the original plan, but somewhat proud knowing he recognized what he did was shitty. wants to help him but hasn't figured out how to reverse the sanitization process yet either

would probably deck someone for meme au taeden. also horrified that he doesn't have a professor

gets along best with tasnim since he never went down such an extreme path; probably asks what him it's like being an octoling

pokemon au taeden and tartar bug him a bit because to him their plan almost feels worse than the plan tartar had. outside of that he doesn't mind them though and actually wants to know why they have creatures from a game that his professor used to talk about

taiko actually freaks him out; will avoid him at all costs

teremun:

tartar scares him a bit because he's generally uncaring about the lives of others

the same applies for 2.0 but to a slightly lesser extent

treats taeden with a LOT of respect- he understands that it takes a lot to change your ways. probably winds up venting to him because he'll get it.

a bit confused as to why meme au taeden is an octoling, but also treats him with respect. willing to sit and listen to him ramble about older tech, and winds up mentioning bits of his own story by accident

tasnim reminds him too much of pravin (teremun's percy) and he can't handle it, so he doesn't interact with him

he's able to talk to both pokemon au taeden and tartar, though he's a bit uneasy since their plan reminds him of his own. still winds up talking about what happened with him.

taiko makes him sad, but he'll still talk to him. he wishes he could've loved like that from the start.

meme au taeden:

not a fan of tartar at all, since he clearly can't see how bad he's making things for others

also not a fan of 2.0 for the same reasons

thinks taeden is literally the best thing ever, since he knows a lot about older tech and he likes to work with older tech. they probably bond over this, and he asks him about what his professor is like

really hopes that teremun can eventually find a way to reverse everything he did, or at least bring it all to a bearable point- if he was able to get out of his own bad situation, hopefully he can too

surprised that there's another octoling, but with the mind of a machine- extremely interested in how tasnim accomplished this

knows that pokemon au taeden and tartar's plan was bad but.... he can't stop his curiosity over what they were going to use to change the world.......

unsettled by taiko, but still makes an effort to be friendly towards him. probably winds up getting infected tbh

tasnim:

very happy he didn't go down tartar's path

or 2.0's for that matter

taeden's company is enjoyable and he also asks him about what it's like being in a robot

cries over the information obtained about teremun. he feels REALLY bad for him despite knowing he did some bad stuff

asks way too many questions about octarian society to meme au taeden. yes he's seen it but he wants to know more from someone who's been in it. probably cries a bit here as well

pokemon au taeden and tartar are very different than the rest for the most part and he thinks that’s neat that they share something in common with him

is completely unaware that taiko also tried to infect him but it didn't work

pokemon au taeden and tartar (both generally share the same opinions on others so they’re getting lumped together)

tartar’s plan seems very extreme to both of them, which is actually kind of hilarious considering one of them was trying to change the world through some concerning means. willing to talk to him provided they’re in a good mood beforehand.

kind of worrying to them that 2.0 continued down the same path with very little change outside of a mildly stronger curiosity. still easier to talk to than tartar though.

both are absolutely fascinated by taeden, since he’s an AI but runs on his own and even learns stuff. nothing like that exists in the pokemon world yet, at least nothing that isn’t controlled by a rotom. they probably talk to him for a while about robot stuff

teremun’s situation reminds both of them of what nearly happened in regards to changing the world, except that his situation actually happened. they’re not sure what to do aside from trying to console him, but outside of that they all get along

octillery person? what? they’re so confused by meme au taeden and ask a lot of questions he doesn’t actually have the answers to. they’ve got a lot of different tech and they all talk about that stuff

another octillery person but apparently he’s also a machine? confused with tasnim as well, probably more than they are with meme au taeden.

they both consider taiko to be like... a living version of the move attract. these two probably also get infected by him

Not suitable for infecting. Depressed. Poses no threat whatsoever due to wanting to be better.

Suitable for infecting. Target is wary but optimistic. Obsessed with older technology. Lure target in with questions and/or facts about old tech to lower guard. Infect the moment the opportunity arises.

Suitable for infecting. Target is oblivious and very emotional. Lure target in with the story regarding the professor. Infect at any point during the conversation. Not suitable for infecting. Has the mind of a machine.

Suitable for infecting. The quiet one is very perceptive. The rambling one has sensitivity to sound. Do not allow voice to waver. Infect the quiet one the moment the opportunity arises. Raise voice to 100dB to startle the rambling one. Infect within two seconds.
