Sad headcanon: Imrik allows the Dragons of Cathay to take the young dragon because they can teach him far better than he can and he watches as the last remnants of his good friend goes with them.

Oh no that IS a sad headcanon! BUT SO GOOD! YES! YES GIVE ME THAT PAIN!

Give me a montage of Hayase growing up with the other dragons. Make him feel like he's a replacement rather than his own person. Let him struggle with that. God the mental anguish this would inflict upon the child. Knowing he lives in his failure of a father's shadow.

Some more stuff for today - designing fantasy version of Shanakay. By far I know that her name is Moruhin, she is a dragon-riding high elf from a respectable family and her dream is to get disowned, so she can fully devote herself to dragons and dragons alone. And not elfy elfiness of the elven kingdoms.

She is seriously obsessed with dragons, really. And studying magic. One can say that this kind of obsession leads to Slaanesh coming to snatch your soul, Moruhin would say that she already pawned her soul like six times, so Slaanesh is most welcome to try and find where it ended up.

Has one or another beef with practically every elf in existence. Except for maybe Imrik.

Her dragon bff is called Ruin and acts the part being eternally hissy and ready to throw hand. Paws? They are a perfect match with Moruhin, really.
