"When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds aren't in your favor."
Tumblr media
Introduction
Taria Chinen is the third and final member of the Ōta Division rap battle team, Birds of Prey. She is known by her rap name, Misfit. A rambunctious and opportunistic thrill-seeker, this young brunette seeks to live her life the way she wants, regardless of what anyone thinks or says about her. Although she may come across as a bit of a troublemaker, those in the know know that there is more to this young woman than meets the eye.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like her older sisters, Taria is also an attractive woman in her own right, despite her young age and short stature. Though not as curvy or endowed as her sisters, she is known for her long hips and slim waist. She has jade-green eyes, one of which is hidden behind the bangs of her light brown ponytailed hair. She also has a tattoo of a female jester on her stomach. Lastly, she has a bracelet with a magpie charm on her right wrist.
For her attire, Taria normally wears a lowcut white long-sleeved sweater with a black buttoned-up vest over it. She wears a pair of long black stockings and a red skirt on her waist. On her feet are a pair of black boots. Finally, she wears a black collar with a silver triangle at the end.
At night when she is out on her "job", Taria wears a black sweater and pants with matching-colored boots. Completely covering her is a black overcoat with Fuschia-colored highlights. On her head is a black winter cap, and she has a matching-colored eyepatch over her left eye. Finally, she wears black leather gloves on her hands.

Hypnosis Microphone
Taria's Microphone is a handheld microphone that is covered in black sparkling jewels. On the front of the mic, written sideways in cursive in silver jewels is the word, 'Misfit'.
Her Speaker takes the form of a large gray safe. When she begins rapping, the safe opens, revealing a gold speaker inside.
Her rap ability, Pilfer, allows Taria to, when an opponent is about to activate their own rap ability, steal it from them, allowing her to utilize it for her own. However, she is unable to use it to its maximum effect. And should she be defeated, the ability returns to the user.
Taria's rap themes revolve around the concept of 'freedom'. She raps about how she wishes to live her own life without fear of being misunderstood or being told by others how she should live it. She also raps about hedonistic things, such as money, sex, and being in the spotlight.
Personality
To say that Taria is a bold individual would be putting it lightly. She is one who doesn't dispense with small talk and always says what's on her mind, no matter how vulgar or rude it is. She dislikes subtlety, finding that it gets in the way of what she wants. She thinks that all people should endeavor to be the same. This behavior doesn't make her well-liked by most people, but she doesn't care. In her own words, 'Why hide what you want to say, or how you feel? You're just lying to yourself in the end.'
Another trait of Taria is that, unlike her sisters, she doesn't believe in the gods, finding the concept of religion to be stifling or untrue. This behavior stems from her childhood when her mother suddenly disappeared and she had her siblings were left at the hands of their less-than-caring father. Plus, she often found the priests and monks who lived in temples and churches to be hypocrites, who never did any of what they preached. She'll never understand how her sisters can stand going to such places and is quick to reprimand them when they do, which usually leads to a confrontation between her and them.
Despite her negative traits, Taria does care deeply for her family. After finding out that Chinami was pregnant, the youngest sister did everything she could to alleviate her older sibling's burdens. And when she had Jin (her son), Taria has made it her mission to be the best aunt she can for him. She loves and adores children, citing them as her biggest fans when she performs her tricks in the streets of Ōta. She doesn't know if she'll ever want a child, but she does adore other people's children.
Aside from her job as a street performer, what most people don't know about Taria is that she actually has another job, working as a thief and a vigilante. Putting her skills as an acrobat and traceuse to good use, she scales the rooftops of her city, on the lookout for any sort of conflict or trouble that she can quickly resolve. No one knows who it is behind the mask she wears at night, which suits her just fine.
Her reason for this is due to the fact that she has a fierce hatred for the police, due to them not solving the mystery of her mother's disappearance, despite it being years since she vanished. This is one of the reasons she tells people that she rescues to put their trust in her and not the police since she believes they can't be counted on. This is a very sore spot between her and her sister, Kira, who, despite no longer being a police officer, still works for them, which Taria hates.
The other reason is the fact that Taria is currently working to uncover clues behind her mother's disappearance. Accepting jobs from unscrupulous individuals, she works to steal what they want in exchange for money or information. Though she knows better than to put her trust in thugs and lowlives, she's not worried, as she knows full well how to protect and take care of herself.
Background
*Coming soon*
Trivia
Both her hair and eye colors aren't natural. She dyed her hair during her teenage years because she wanted to deviate from her family. And she started wearing contacts during her time in the circus, because she thought it made her 'unique'.
She hates being called 'cute' or 'small' because it reminds her of her height. She hates that is shorter than most people at 21.
Though she hasn't told Taria or Chinami, Kira is fully aware that the so-called vigilante known as the "Misfit in Action" is her younger sister. She has tried to catch her before any of the other cops, as she knows that it will reflect badly on her and her family if her sister gets caught.

Pretty Rhythm: My☆Deco Rainbow Wedding Prologue
(Hi! This is the first Pretty Rhythm 3DS game, and is also where Rinne originated. My notes will be in brackets, and I’ll only be translating one option from each choice; my chosen option will be in bold. Also… yeah, some plot points in these games are dumb as hell. But the Rainbow Live game literally made me cry so they’re not complete nonsense haha. Translation starts under the cut.)
’Dance’, ‘fashion’, ‘music’. When all three are brought together, they create ‘entertainment’. A certain legend has been passed down in the world of ‘prism shows’ since long ago…
‘Lovely’, ‘pop’, ‘feminine’, ‘ethnic’, ‘cool’, ‘sexy’. And, of course… ‘star’. The prism star who could bring together the power of these seven coords and collect the ‘rainbow charm’ would acquire the ‘rainbow wedding (dress)’.  Wearing this rainbow-coloured, shining coord of legend was the aspiration of every prism star. However, nobody had ever even seen this ‘rainbow charm’.
Everyone began to see the ‘rainbow wedding’ as nothing but a legend. However… they were wrong. The rainbow charm has always been waiting to be found by a star who can use the power of ‘My☆Deco’ to create their own original prism stones.
This is the story of a strange prism star with the power of the rainbow. You will be playing the leading role. Yes, the rainbow charm… It’s been waiting for you all along. Welcome to the world of prism shows!
(Meganee appears, you are in a real-life Prism Stone shop)
??? (Meganee): Ah, welcome! You can play Pretty Rhythm here! It’s a super fun game where you can collect shining stones! The controls are simple, so even beginners can enjoy themselves! So, do you want to try playing Pretty Rhythm?
Choice: Hm… Will I give it a go…?/Now’s not a great time…
??? (Meganee): Great! Put in a coin to start the game! I’m looking forward to a sparkly prism show! …Hm? Wait, you’re… Come with me for a sec!
(You both enter the arcade machine)
???(Meganee): Welcome to the world of prism shows !
Meganee: Sorry, sorry! I surprised you, didn’t I? My name is Akai Meganee. I help everyone with their coords right here in the world of prism shows. Feel free to call me Meganee! …More importantly, you’re making a ‘Why did you bring me here?’ kind of face, huh. The reason I’ve brought you into the world of the game is…
??? (Penguin-sensei): Meganee-chan! You’ve found the new star!?
Meganee: Ah! Penguin-sensei!
Penguin-sensei: So it’s this girl, huh? Hm… hmmm?
Meganee: Wait a minute, Penguin-sensei. You’re all up in her face…
Penguin-sensei: Perfect! This girl will do great! You have the aura of a destined star!
Meganee: Right? But, wait a second. There’s still a lot we don’t know about you. So, tell us about yourself!
(Character creation. I’ll refer to the player character as ‘Player’ from now on. Also, there’s no skintone options… Shit Sophia strikes again)
Meganee: I feel like I know you a lot better now. Nice to meet you, Player-chan!
Penguin-sensei: Good, now that that’s out of the way, we can get going! …Huh? Where are we going, you ask? The Prism Stone shop, of course!
(We are now inside the fictional Prism Stone from AD/DMF)
Meganee: You know, Player, there’s a reason why I chose you. It’s because your heart is shiny and pure… Having that pure heart should let you use the power of My☆Deco!
Penguin-sensei: Huh? Don’t tell me you don’t know what My☆Deco is? Well, it’s better to learn by doing! Let’s My☆Deco!
(My☆Deco tutorial)
Meganee: Wow, amazing! You deco-ed it wonderfully!
Penguin-sensei: You’re clearly nothing to sniff at if you can make such a pretty stone first try!
Meganee: Hm… With your skill, I’m sure you’ll be able to make the rainbow wedding!
Penguin-sensei: You’re right… To do that you’ll need this… The rainbow charm!
(A peacock-design charm floats down from the sky. Figuratively, I guess)
Meganee: The rainbow charm has lost its power… Player-chan! Please bring the power of the seven coords together! If you do that, you’ll be able to create the rainbow wedding coord! If you gather the power of all of the coords and get the rainbow wedding, you can make a lot of people’s hearts happy-lucky! So, will you collect power for the rainbow charm?
Choice: Understood!/Will I really be able to do all that, though?
Meganee: Thank you! I knew you’d say that!
Penguin-sensei: Now that that’s sorted, you’ve got to train from here on out! Your goal is to become a sparkling prism star! In order to debut as a star, you’ll need to practise prism jumps!
Meganee: Player-chan, good luck! …You’ll definitely be able to help that girl…
–End of Opening–
Prologue: A Strange Power
Meganee: Player-chan, your prism star activities are just beginning! …Hm? Who’s the girl I just mentioned? Well, if you continue doing prism shows, you’ll probably meet a strange girl who has a pure white heart, just like you. Although, she’s forgotten something very important, so we need you to use your power to help her remember. I’m sure you’ll be able to become close to her, and your sparkling heart will make everyone happy-lucky. Feel free to deco your pure heart in a way that suits you! You’ve already learned how to My☆Deco, so next you’ll be tackling prism shows! A prism show is where the strengths of dance, fashion and music come together. It’s very fun entertainment!
Penguin-sensei: The most important part of a prism show is the prism jump. A prism jump is a jump of the soul!
Meganee: A prism star’s excited heartbeat becomes their prism jump. I wonder what kind of jump Player-chan’s heart will create?
Penguin-sensei: We’ll have to see then, won’t we? Let’s prism show! ……Wait, you… haven’t performed a prism jump before?
Choice: Of course I have!/No, I haven’t…
Penguin-sensei: There’s no way you can debut then! Hurry up, I’ll give you a lesson! You’re lucky, you know? You get to experience a special lesson taught by me!
Meganee: No need to be so worried, you’ll definitely be fine.
Penguin-sensei: The excitement in your heart will become your jump… is what my friend Jun said once. Hm? You don’t know who that is? Well, whatever. It basically means that if you believe in your heart, you’ll be able to do an amazing prism jump!
Meganee: The Prism Future Arena’s pretty close, so why don’t we go there to practise?
Penguin-sensei: Prism jump lesson, start!
(Obligatory prism show tutorial, followed by obligatory prism show)
Meganee: Woah, great prism show!
Penguin-sensei: You really do have something amazing… and that is… a star’s aura! You’re going to become a great prism star!
Meganee: A prism star, huh… Wait, do you plan to enroll her there!?
Penguin-sensei: Of course! I’ve already told President Asechi that I’ve found the prism star of the future!
Meganee: Pretty Top has a lot of prism stars, it’s a very famous agency. Being able to go there is amazing! Congratulations, Player-chan!
Penguin-sensei: Well… officially, you need to take a test to be accepted. Will you take the test?
Choice: I want to take it!/I can’t do it!
Penguin-sensei: That’s what I like to hear. With that attitude, you’ll definitely become a great prism star. Even if you fail, the important thing is that you tried. That’s youth after all! Now, let’s go! Follow me, Player!
Meganee: Ah! Penguin-sensei, if you drag her so suddenly…
Penguin-sensei: Aaah! (Falling sounds)
Meganee: Ah… they both fell… Are you guys okay? …You’ll definitely be able to collect all of the power for the rainbow charm. Believe in the shine of your heart. If you do that, you’ll definitely become a wonderful prism star!
(This is so fucking long good lord. I still haven’t been able to save. I haven’t seen my family in weeks. My crops are all dead. Anyway, after a transition we are in what looks to be a bedroom… Alone with Penguin-sensei… Ruh-roh Scoob)
Penguin-sensei: Good♥mor♥ning♥
Penguin-sensei: HEY! Don’t scream when you see a person’s face! That’s so rude! You’re making a really surprised face, huh. You didn’t think that yesterday was just a dream, did you? Pinch your cheeks, see? You’re not dreaming. This is reality! You’re going to be taking Pretty Top’s admission test in order to become a prism star! Why are you spacing out like that? Get ready!
Penguin-sensei: This is your My Room. Just like it sounds, it’s your bedroom. You can change your coord and makeup here. Once you’re ready, you’ll be taking your test! Show me your power in the world where talented prism stars come together! Let’s gooooo!
–To be continued–
Meganee: Welcome to the world of prism shows! In order to become a sparkling prism star, please work hard doing prism shows and lessons. You have the power of My☆Deco, so use it to create a lot of coords! If you continue in ‘Aim to Become a Prism Star’ (story) mode, you’ll be able to meet a lot of friends with different dances and jumps. I have a present for you, the future prism star! Make a lot of My☆Deco stones with the power of My☆Deco! And please, save that girl… She needs your power! I’ll give you a present every day. I’ll be happy if you come to play tomorrow, and the day after that. I may even get you a surprise present for your birthday, so look forward to that! May Player-chan, who has the power of My☆Deco, stay safe…
(And finally… a menu. I have been freed from the shackles that Meganee had bound me with. Why did I translate that last bit of non-story info? To let the world know that Meganee is pure evil. Guilt tripping us with promises of presents so that we play every day and in so doing fall for her machinations? No thank you. Anyway, I hope people actually read this as it was an absolute slog to get through lmao! I’m planning on translating both PR 3DS games, and possibly the PriPara ones too if people want them. Also, if anyone wants a quick translation of the actual gameplay menus etc., I’d be happy to do so!)

PKMN TRAINERS
Phika “Phoenix” Artemovich
Phika is an Interpol agent, rank Superintendent, who lives in Jubilife City. She started on her Pokémon journey around Sinnoh when she was 10, traveling for about six-seven years and visiting Johto and Kanto in the process. She joined Interpol when she was 17 and has been working there for 12 years (she’s 29 as of right now).
She’s not the most mentally strong (she cries very easily), as work leaves her stressed and sleep-deprived, though she always tries to perform her best. On top of that, she also believes that she was cursed by Darkrai when she was 19 -- though she doesn’t dare let anyone in Sinnoh know because of how superstitious people are. Phika is very kind and gentle, earning her the codename “Agent Mother,” and is very protective of her friends, family, and Pokémon.
PKMN Team: Infernape (starter), Luxray, Gengar, Milotic, Togekiss, Steelix
Bella Émilie
Bella is a Pokémon trainer from Courmarine City in the Kalos region. She ran away from home at age 14 after receiving a Froakie from Professor Sycamore (he made a special visit to Courmarine City to talk to her about being a trainer w/o her mom’s knowledge). As a result, Bella is fiercely independent and almost unbearably stubborn -- she’s also carrying along quite the superiority complex with her, hiding deep-seated feelings of inferiority with a cold and aggressive exterior.
She ended up taking on Team Flare as per the plot of X/Y, though she never really got along with the main friend group (Calem, Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor). Her and Calem also had their own rivalry, though she never thought of it as one because of how easily she beat him down every time they battled (her superiority complex shone through whenever they interacted). However, as of now, nine years later (she’s 23), she’s mellowed out some, though those feelings of inferiority haven’t quite gone away. Bella’s also close friends with Phika and may or may not have a small crush on her (she does), though she does tend to worry about how little Phika takes care of herself.
PKMN Team: Greninja (starter), Talonflame, Sylveon, Haxorus, Lucario, Meowstic
Lyssa Ahreiz-Ridecki
Lyssa is a mechanic from Goldenrod City in the Johto region. She wasn’t really that interested in Pokémon battling when she was growing up, and preferred to spend time in her dad’s workshop, helping him to tinker with and fix machines, and go around the city with him fixing appliances and other things for people. As a result, she became a mechanic herself, establishing a name for herself in Goldenrod City and the surrounding area (her father is very proud of her for that).
However, her talent unintentionally got her caught up in organized crime. Lyssa was recruited by the Pokémon Pinchers to work as a mechanic for them, fixing their Control Gauntlets and Z. Z. Flyers. Though she wasn’t told at first everything about the devices she was fixing, Lyssa eventually figured out what was going on and tried her best to throw a wrench in the works (figuratively) whenever she could. Eventually, as the leadership of the Pinchers began to break down, she left -- and ended up getting a little more into Pokémon battling, after realizing that she might need to be able to defend herself better in the future. Right now, she’s caught up with an android named Robyn and Silph Co, but that’s still developing.
PKMN Team: Pidgeot (starter), Ambipom, Drowzee, Honchkrow
Robyn
Robyn is an android created by Silph Co. that currently resides in an apartment in Goldenrod City. Her main purpose is to spy on residents in the city and steal their info, then transmit it back to Silph Co for their own purposes. She also goes out and gambles with the money she steals from people -- while no one has figured out yet that she’s actually a robot, there are some regulars at the Game Corner who are starting to get suspicious of this short, white-haired girl who’s apparently some sort of gambling genius.
Her apartment room was discovered accidentally by Lyssa, who followed her home after seeing her in the Game Corner, and soon figured out that she was in fact, some sort of robot. She tried to mess around with Robyn’s circuitry, not knowing who made Robyn, and now has a target painted on her back by Silph Co.
PKMN Team (for defense): Porygon-Z, Meowth, Espeon
Nicky Griffin
Nicky is from a large, large, large performing family in Castelia City, Unova. She grew up playing the violin and learning to dance, taught by her grandmother and two older sisters. She’s the fourth out of eleven siblings, and has too many cousins, aunts, and uncles for her to keep straight. Because she’s not the oldest, or the youngest, or the best performer, Nicky turned to street art to try and distinguish herself -- her alias is Nee-Coletti -- and while her family doesn’t know about her “other hobby”, at least not totally, they probably wouldn’t mind (at least she hopes so). She also does a lot of street performance, playing her violin while her Pokémon dance -- something they’ll also do in battle.
She left on her journey initially to return a Pokédex that Bianca lost when she was visiting Castelia City, and went to Aspertia City, since she’d heard that’s where Bianca was heading. By the time she got to Aspertia City, Bianca had left, though she was able to get some mentoring from Cheren, and ended up getting her first Gym Badge from him. They’re still friends, and will call on the X-Tranceiver when they have the time. Nicky’s also friends with Bianca, who she met after finally returning the Pokédex -- they get along great!
PKMN Team: Lopunny (starter), Mienshao, Scrafty, Emolga, Roserade, Floatzel
Alexandra “Alex” Rye
Alex is a Pokémon Trainer from Lentimas Town in Unova and is the third oldest out of five kids (she’s the exact middle child and she’s not super happy about that). She grew up putting on puppet shows for her younger siblings and other kids in town with dolls she made herself, and eventually started making her own clothing as well. She was hurt in a landslide when she was about 13, delaying the start of her journey for a year, and now walks with a slight limp as a result.
She loves ghost and dark pokemon (her team is made up of conventionally “scary” pokemon), from time she’d spend in the Strange House outside of Lentimas Town. In fact, that’s where she met her first Pokémon, Banette, who just followed her home one day. They’ve been friends ever since. However, to other people, she’s not as nice -- Alex is perpetually bored with her life, and will usually mess with other people (stealing their things, scamming them with magic tricks, etc) with the help of her Pokémon for a little bit of excitement.
PKMN Team: Banette (starter), Mismagius, Hydreigon, Galvantula, Drapion, Zoroark
Nova Roscoe
Nova’s a coordinator from Slateport City, in the Hoenn region. She’s still a little inexperienced, since she’s young, but more than makes up for it with enthusiasm! She also loves coordinating her Pokémon’s outfits with hers when they perform -- sometimes she’ll buy plain dresses and sparkle them up a bit just for fun. (i don’t have that much for Nova,,, she’s one of my least developed characters so there’s that)
PKMN Team: Dustox (starter), Froslass, Skitty, Natu
Juno Xe
Juno is a florist who took over running her parents’ flower shop in Konikoni City. She’s not much of a fan of battling, but did take on the island challenge with her twin brother, Yarrow, at the urging of their parents -- it’s tradition, after all, so they should at least do it (they couldn’t stay in the shop forever)! For the most part, Juno’s very good with handling customers, though her phony-sweet “customer service” voice will start slipping out when she gets annoyed -- with customers or her brother.
She has a huge fear of losing people/saying goodbye after her older sister was caught in an accident involving Team Skull. Her parents never told her the entire truth of what happened (that her sister was actually part of Team Skull), though regardless, the incident left her terrified of losing people close to her. As a result, she can be unintentionally controlling and toxic -- something that Yarrow experienced first hand while he was still back at the family’s flower shop.
PKMN Team: Dartrix (starter), Stoutland, Oricorio, Espeon, Liligant, Alomamola
Yarrow Xe
Unlike his twin sister, Yarrow abandoned the family’s flower shop in favor of wandering aimlessly through the various regions in the Pokémon world. He enjoyed taking on the island challenge and relished the freedom that he was given while traveling -- making coming back to the flower shop incredibly difficult. The expectation of their parents is that the two of them would complete the island challenge and then come back to manage the shop, and while Juno was fine with that, Yarrow was completely opposed to it.
However, he was easily taken advantage of and manipulated by Juno when he tried to leave. Yarrow had (and still has) emotional trauma left over from when their sister died that he never worked through properly, or even acknowledged, leaving him emotionally unavailable and unable to express himself properly (though that last part goes back to when he was a child). He eventually broke away after the two of them had a huge fight, and never looked back -- he doesn’t even like going back to Alola, if he can help it. He’s stubbornly independent and tries his best to keep people away from him (emotionally and physically), and is a fierce competitor in battle. Yarrow’s noticeably gentler around his Pokémon, and sometimes opens up to them -- though this is only because they can’t actually say anything back to him that he would understand.
PKMN Team: Decidueye (starter), Tsareena, Umbreon, Alolan Raichu, Bewear, Komala
MYSTERY DUNGEON (they’re all gijinkas btw)
also spoilers for all of the mystery dungeon games below
Merrie (Psyduck)
Merrie is the hero of Pokémon Blue/Red Rescue Team (i’ve only ever played blue but i’d assume the two are the same) and the co-leader of Rescue Team Feathers! She’s a a bit of a glutton, and will sometimes snack on apples while she and Chica are exploring dungeons together. Because she’s a Psyduck, she’s prone to getting bad headaches, especially if she doesn’t use the move Confusion a lot in battle. She’s also incredibly clumsy and forgetful -- she sometimes forgets that she used to be a human in the first place.
Moveset: Water Gun, Scratch, Ice Beam, Confusion
Chica (Combusken)
Chica is the sidekick of B/R Rescue Team, though because of Merrie’s forgetfulness, she manages a lot of the team stuff and job requests. It was her idea to form a rescue team, though sometimes she wonders if joining forces with Merrie was such a good idea. She can come of as very brusque and guarded if you catch her at a bad time, but she is very protective of Merrie (though this usually shows through her rolling her eyes and scolding Merrie for getting into whatever trouble’s going on this time).
Moveset: Flamethrower, Attract, Brick Break, Peck
Siobhán // Soren (Charmander)
Soren is the hero of Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, and the co-leader of Team Chikomander. She carries around a bat with a few odds and ends stuck in it as a weapon, and is usually very quick to anger, especially if those she’s close to are threatened. For the most part, she’s sweet and helpful, and genuinely enjoys her job as a member of Wigglytuff’s Guild -- though she does argue with Chatot about the whole money thing from time to time.
The reason she has two different names is because when she was in the future, her name was Siobhán -- she also wasn’t a human, but a weird mash of Darkrai after the Dimensional Hole he was traveling in was attacked by Palkia (this video is where this whole thing comes from and since i personally really like this theory, it’s now soren’s backstory). When she arrived in the past and met Rita, she didn’t want to give her name to a complete stranger, so she said her name was Soren. This caused some confusion when Grovyle was introduced to the mix, and it was revealed that the two of them used to work together in the future.
Moveset: Flamethrower, Slash, Shadow Claw, Sunny Day
Rita (Chikorita)
Rita is the partner of EOTDS and the other co-leader of Team Chikomander. She’s a big bookworm, and likes to keep books in their bedroom at the guild (though she sometimes worries that Soren will set them on fire by accident). Her weapon of choice is a green tome that she uses to summon grass attacks -- she doesn’t really need it, but it makes her more confident in battle. Rita can be a bit of a coward sometimes, and is known for being bossy, but she does try her best as an explorer (and to keep Soren out of trouble).
Moveset: Solar Beam, Magical Leaf, Light Screen, Synthesis
Úrsula (Dewott)
Úrsula is the hero of Gates to Infinity, and the co-leader of The Hydroclaw, handling most of the jobs and other requests (her weapon of choice is a naginata). She came to the Pokémon world from Venice, Italy, though at this point she doesn’t remember much about her life in the human world. Soon after she came to the Pokémon world, she convinced Axel to go and talk to Quagsire about buying the land he wanted even though his money had been stolen a hours ago (this is all a different au where Quagsire is still part of the underground so some things are a little different). She’s stubborn and incredibly loyal to her friends, almost to a fault -- she’d do anything for them, so she can be easy to take advantage of if you get close enough to her. One of her favorite pastimes is cooking, and she’ll sometimes get up early in the morning to cook breakfast for everyone, just to show she cares. She expresses a lot of emotions through cooking and food.
Moveset: Water Pulse, Razor Shell, Pursuit, Fury Cutter
Axel (Fraxure)
Axel is the partner of GTI, and the other co-leader of The Hydroclaw, handling the development and building of Paradise. He comes off as intimidating to many -- partly because he’s a dragon type, partly because he carries around an axe with him. However, as a surprise to some, he’s actually gentle and kindhearted for the most part, though he still does have some lessons to learn in terms of friendships and other emotional connections (and Quagsire’s going to make sure he learns those lessons at some point). He also really likes Úrsula. Like, really, really likes her. The two of them are practically joined at the hip.
Moveset: Dragon Dance, Dual Chop, Pursuit, Dragon Claw
Ramona “Rara” (Treecko)
Ramona is the hero of Super Mystery Dungeon, and the co-leader of The Ash-Roses. She’s mute and communicates through her own form of sign language, as well as written notes. Between her and Cinders, she handles a lot of the logistics of the team, including packing travel bags and planning their explorations. She still struggles with the aftermath of the Dark Matter incident, and blames herself for not seeing what was going on with Nuzleaf sooner.
dark matter au ramona: in this au, ramona ends up falling under the control of dark matter along with nuzleaf. dark matter is able to take advantage of her insecurities about her place in serene village and feelings of resentment towards some of the other villagers. it’s found out she’s being controlled by dark matter on the top of revelation mountain, and instead of going to the voidlands with cinders, she works with nuzleaf, yveltal, and the beheyeem going around and turning Pokémon to stone.
Moveset: Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Dragon Breath, Pursuit
Cinders (Cyndaquil)
Cinders is the partner of PSMD, and the other co-leader of The Ash-Roses. He’s cheerful, chatty, and has a tendency to get himself and Ramona into trouble very often. Cinders is also really passionate about exploration -- like really, really passionate, to the point of near obsession -- and will sometimes get ahead of himself when it comes to exploring new places. Since he’s also the reincarnation of Mew (or whatever that whole thing was it was a blur for me tbh), he also has the ability to read people’s minds, though this happens sporadically. He’ll usually say the thoughts he hears from others out loud, or respond to them as if it was part of the conversation. This usually freaks people out quite a bit.
dark matter au cinders: cinders is pretty much the same throughout this au until it’s revealed that ramona is under the control of dark matter. from that point on, he’s more frightened and desperate than normal cinders, and becomes much more subdued after the whole dark matter incident blows over. he and ramona don’t really have the same kind of friendship that they had before, either.
Moveset: Flame Wheel, Double Kick, Quick Attack, Ember
OTHER
these two are from a world that i was working on with a friend a while back. we aren’t doing anything with said world anymore, but i decided to keep these two around and develop them (and hopefully their world) a little bit more, because i was already attached to them by the time we stopped working.
for some basic background info: polaris and gabriel are from a nomadic tribe up in the north of the world called eira-taith. one of the traditions of the tribe is that, to be considered an adult, you have to travel on your own for one year and then return. when polaris went out on his journey, he came back to find everyone dead. gabriel was technically the only survivor because he had ran away in search of polaris before everyone else was wiped out. as of right now, they just wander around the world together -- they don’t really have a place to go.
Polaris Eider
Polaris is the oldest out of six in his family. Because he was the oldest, he was treated as a “third parent,” and given the responsibility of looking after his younger siblings before he left on his year-long travel. He would force down his own feelings and problems to properly be able to take care of everyone else, and as a result, isn’t the most emotionally expressive. He’s not very talkative, and usually has a stern expression on his face. Polaris is also a skilled archer -- however, that’s about all he can do in terms of weaponry.
Gabriel Eider
Gabriel is the second oldest out of six -- meaning that after Polaris left, he would be the one in charge of taking care of all of their younger siblings, at the age 14. He ended up cracking under the pressure and anxiety of Polaris not surviving on his own, and ran away, fortunately right before their tribe was wiped out. At some point, he was attacked by a group of bandits and was blinded, losing both of his eyes. His anxieties only worsened afterwards, though he tries his best to hide that and his blindness through being combative, stubborn, and overly-dramatic at some times, much to Polaris’ chagrin. Before losing his sight, he could use both a bow and arrow and daggers, though he’s not able to do all that much now.

Evan Rachel Wood on Her Gritty New Psycho-Thriller, the Emmys, and Westworld Season Two
Evan Rachel Wood doesn’t have a lot of time on her hands, what with playing both robot Dolores and robot-who-doesn’t-think-she’s-a-robot Dolores on HBO’s Westworld — and, this season, it seems from that killer season-two teaser trailer, woke-robot Dolores. So it says a lot that, on hiatus, she starred in a gritty independent psychological thriller, A Worthy Companion, from two Montreal fine-art photographers (and brothers), Carlos and Jason Sanchez, first-time movie directors. The film, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, follows Wood as Laura, a 30-year-old fuckup working for her father’s (Denis O’Hare) cleaning company, as she strikes up an ill-advised and increasingly disturbing relationship with Ava (Julia Sarah Stone), the 16-year-old daughter of one of her cleaning clients. It’s a wrenching and often unlikable part that delves deep into the complex of the cycles of abuse, and how the familiar path for those in pain is to perpetuate more pain. Wood’s is a barn-burner performance, but even the Sanchez brothers are shocked she said yes pretty much right after reading the script, and met up with them to talk it over the day after Westworld premiered.
“We were flattered because she told us she wasn’t going to make another film that year,” Carlos told me. They’d seen her in 13 and The Wrestler, but Jason says the Westworld trailer is really what convinced them to cast her, because it was impressive watching her switch between her robot and human characters — which is what Laura is often doing in her manipulations as she switches from tender to enraged and back again. Wood brought so much authentic pain to the part that the Sanchez brothers rewrote the ending because they felt the original one didn’t do justice to the character she’d been building. “We were super stoked to work with her,” said Jason, “but what we got from her was just fucking mind-blowing.”
We spoke to Wood — who looked amazing in a bright-orange Altuzarra coat and sparkling Louboutin booties — about diving into this movie, what to expect from “woke Dolores” in season two, and how freaked out she was for her Westworld finale moment with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
So, the opening scene of this movie is insane. This guy walks into your apartment, blindfolds himself, and then you get so rough and violent with him during sex that he throws you off him and runs away. I was like, “What is happening?” I know. [Laughs.] We don’t waste any time. One of the things I loved about the script is that this was the first scene, because I read it for the first time and went, “What is it?” But also, I thought, “Good for you! You’re holding nothing back!” I thought it was a great way to tell the story — usually it builds and you’re like, “Who’s good? Who’s bad? What’s going on?” but here, right away, you see the darkest side of this girl. And then the whole first half is just this crazy tension because you know already what’s lurking under there. I thought it heightened everything really well.
Why do you think she needs the guys she has sex with to have blindfolds on? Who knows? She’s got a lot going on in there, a lot of mental disturbances. I’m assuming she’s gay and was abused at a very young age. Those two are not connected in any way, but if she has issues with men, and if she has issues with her own sexuality and shame and whatever she’s dealing with, when you’re traumatized that young, it manifests in ways that don’t make a lot of sense until it goes to the source. It manifests in everyone a little differently, and I think that’s just her thing.
The main relationship of the movie, this 30-year-old woman with a 16 year-old girl, will be pretty controversial for audiences. It definitely is. Another thing I love about the script is that my part was originally written for a man and then they gender-swapped it, which is so cool because it brings so many different layers to that character and to the relationship. I love that it is two women, but it’s never really talked about or touched upon. It’s not what the movie’s about. It’s about a woman and a younger girl, but it’s really about abuse, the cycles of it, the psychology of it, codependency. When I saw it, I wasn’t even phased by it. There was so much other stuff going on.
And the Sanchez brothers told me it’s the only movie you shot last year? Yes. And I didn’t want to do anything. I’d just done Westworld and I was like, “I’m taking a break,” but then I read the script and was like, “Dammit, I have to do this. And it’s going to be hard, and I’m not going to like doing it.” But I hadn’t read a script like that. Somebody compared it to Big Little Lies and how it really showed the whole picture, not excusing the perpetrator but humanizing them, giving you insight into what was going on and how they got to that point. It excited me because it wasn’t black and white: Here’s the victim, here’s the abuser, let’s focus on the victim the whole time. No. It’s a more in-depth look in how we get to this point, and how does the abused become the abuser?
There’s not really a good or bad guy; abuse is a well-rounded tragedy for everyone because normally, when people are doing that, it’s because they’ve been broken at a very young age. So it’s just as tragic watching somebody be prisoner to their own trauma, not in control of what they’re doing because their perspective is so skewed. I’m not excusing what she does in any way, and it was important to me that we didn’t let her completely off the hook. But I definitely think it’ll spark more conversations about it for sure.
You really lay everything out on the screen. Were you okay at the end of every day? Yeah, but I needed a month afterwards, because I was messed up a little bit after that movie. I need to rest and go to my house in Tennessee and just … don’t think about bad things. It took some recalibrating.
Weren’t you supposed to do a different movie this year, your own directorial debut? It’s a road-trip movie you wrote, right? I cowrote it. But I had to push it because it got too stacked up against the Westworld schedule, and I want to do it right, so I pushed it.
But it is going to happen? Yes, after season two.
With the same cast of Jenny Slate, Alison Pill, and Cynthia Erivo? Yes, as of now.
That’s great, because it’s such a good cast. The best cast.
Jenny spilled the beans, didn’t she? She did! I was like, “Don’t worry about it.”
I felt bad, I love Jenny and I actually wrote the article where she said it, and as soon as people started picking it up as a big news item, I was like, “Oh no.” I know! [Laughs.] She texted me right after like, “I think I did a bad thing.” I was like, “No, it’s fine. It’s fine.” She’s great. I just saw her new movie, Landline, and she’s so incredible.
I was nervous about asking you! No, it’s fine. I’m not nervous about it in any way.
Okay, good, so this is the part where I deluge you with Westworld questions. Where are you at in the filming of season two? We’re at the halfway point.
Obviously feel free to stop me if I run into something you can’t say. I mean, there are so many things I can’t say! [Laughs.]
Where are you filming? Santa Clarita and Utah. Same as season one.
Can you give me one free-and-clear clue about season two? It’s twice as ambitious. I’ll try to say the things the showrunners have said, so I know it’s okay. I think somebody asked Jonathan Nolan if we were going to see other worlds this season, or how many worlds we would see, and he said, “More than one?” So there’s that little tidbit. [Laughs.]
Can you talk about how Dolores has evolved? The last time we see her, she is unhinged. I think we’re going to see a new, woke Dolores. We’re going to get to see what that looks like and how it plays out.
Like woke as in Westworld woke, not as in politically correct woke, right? Dolores woke! It’s fun! [Laughs.]
In the trailer we see her riding that horse and shooting guns like a fucking champ. She’s a very different, different character — with still the essence of who she was, but awake.
What is your favorite part about playing woke Dolores in season two? The show is always a surprise. We don’t get to know exactly what happens, so we’re finding out along with the audience, and it’s just a ride. You have enough info to do your job, but you never know what’s going to happen next. It’s constantly exciting, it’s never boring, and it’s extremely difficult because it’s a very complex, challenging, technical role. But because there are endless possibilities on the show. I feel like I could do it for ten years and it would be different every year. So I don’t think I’ll ever get bored.
I think in older interviews you said you figure out the season one twist pretty early on. How are you doing sussing out the season two twist? I figured it out again!
Because you’re a nerd! Yeah, but it’s a lot like last season — I figure it out, but they don’t fill in the blanks for me. Usually I’m like, “Okay, I think I have an idea of where this is going,” and then the payoff is always so incredible, so much bigger than I could ever imagine. I think the same goes for the audience — you’re supposed to figure out the show, and even if you do, it’s okay because the payoff will always be way more than you could ever dream up. So I did kind of talk to one of the showrunners and say, “Okay, tell me if I’m going in the right direction. Is it this?” and they said, “Stop bugging the writers room! Don’t tell this to anyone!” I was like, “Okay! Okay!”
Did you learn any new skill sets that you could take out into the real world and be, like, a ninja? I mean, you already used shotguns and rode horses in season one. Yes, but this is a whole other level. I mean, she’s pretty awake! [Laughs.] I’ve maybe been learning a few things here and there that are fun. But it was crazy, when we shot the scene for Comic-Con, Jonah came up to me and said, “How would you feel about riding a horse with no hands at full speed shooting a rifle?” I said, “I mean, I can do it …”
You already knew you could! No! I’d never done it! But I’ve ridden before, and I’ve ridden bareback, and when you ride, you’re already riding no hands anyway, but this is — it was a whole other level! I remember just kind of staying calm all day, and when it was over and we did it I was like, “Great, I’m going to go have a panic attack and get on my knees and thank God I’m still here!” But they’re so safe on that show, the wranglers are incredible and the horses so well-trained that it was one of the cooler things I’ve gotten to do in my life. So much fun. And not fake. [Laughs.]
It’s funny when you talk about how much more ambitious it is. They had to halt filming in the season one to rewrite scripts. So what does that mean, just on a practical standpoint, to make it more ambitious? We’re approaching it differently this year. They were writing while we were filming last time, and that was too complicated, so they have everything written. Season one, we were also shooting out of order, which is weird, but it was the first season, and it is an ambitious show, so we were all figuring out how it works. Now that we know how it works, we’re all kind of surrendered to the experience — and to never really knowing what’s going on.
You choose what you submit to the Emmys, right? What did you pick? I submitted episode ten. You know, it all comes together for Dolores in that one.
And you knew she was going to do that? No, not until I read it. I was absolutely shocked.
You were like, “Thank you!” It was incredible! So well-written. Jonah directed the pilot and the last episode and they’re stunning, but no, I had no idea.
What did Anthony Hopkins say to you after you shot him in the head? I went up to him after I read it and said, “I’m so sorry, I have to kill you!” and he was like, “No, it’s wonderful! It’s such a beautiful piece of the story! It’s great!” He was all for it, but it was one of the most nerve-racking experiences of my life, holding a gun to Anthony Hopkins’s face. A real gun, not loaded! I was just like, “Ahhhhhh!!!!” [makes face of being excited and terrified and overjoyed all at the same time] “Ahhhhhhh!!!” I just kind of did one of these before every take.

Caring For Your Mermaid Swimming Tail
If you would like a tail but don't wish to sew one, then you can find a company that makes mermaid tails, tops and accessories. There are several out there, such as a couple of eBay sellers. Prices range from a hundred dollars to over a million bucks.
Now that you have your tail, a fitting top and perhaps a seashell necklace or 2, you're ready to mermaid.
Well, it's possible now to be a mermaid-though I'm afraid I can't guarantee you'll be able to breathe under water!
Many of us were inspired by the famed international model, Hannah Fraser, also referred to as Hannah Mermaid. As she got older, she began modeling. Eventually she started crafting her own complete mermaid costumes and performing underwater photo and movie shoots. She has three stunning, one-of-a-kind scenes and lots of amazing footage you can see on her website from googling "Hannah Mermaid." She has mermaided with sea turtles, dolphins, snakes and fish!!! She has trained herself to withstand ocean pressure down to nearly 40 ft, and she can gold her breath for two minutes.
The tails use a monofin, which is a single flipper which both your feet fit into. It requires a bit getting used to, swimming together with your legs attached together on your own tail. If you already know the dolphin swim, then this is a fantastic Discounted swimmable mermaid tails for sale stroke to do with the tail on. But you don't need to know any particular swim strokes-the tail together with the monofin itself can cause you to swim mermaid-fashion. It looks very beautiful from the sport, is fast and fun to perform.
You could also do an internet search on YouTube for "mermaid" and you will come across a great deal of folks who are swimming and making in their own mermaid tails.
Have you ever dreamed of having a mermaid tail and then skimming through the water with the fish? Of looking and feeling like a real mermaid, your hair flowing as you swirl and twirl submerged?
If you practice this a lot, but find that there are times you can not get by without holding your nose or an excessive amount of water comes in, I suggest you get a crystal clear noseplug particularly for swimmingpool. You can slip it onto the surface of your nose and it will keep the water out, regardless of what you do from the water. As it's clear, it won't draw attention to itself.
So now you know about mermaiding, and you can not wait to begin. If you know how to sew and have the time, you can make your own simple tail. Sasha Mermaid includes a fantastic YouTube video tutorial "How to Generate A Mermaid Tail."
Wearing a mermaid costumes is among the best choices for women when going to a Halloween celebration. Having a glittering tail and some accessories, there is no doubt that everyone will notice you. However, there's just one question that you have to know, which is "what is the best costume to wear?" Upon reading more on this article you will able to learn more info about mermaid costumes, how to get the perfect outfit that will fit you the very best.
No, I am discussing a new pastime that's growing around the world, and it's called mermaiding. Not just women and girls are doing it, but are men and boys.
Second, you need to practice holding your breath for longer amounts of time under water. But from my study I have found that learning to hold your breath for long periods of time only includes training and learning how to relax in the water. A number of them have learned to hold their breath up to six minutes! Another mermaid model, Mermaid Linden, hires herself out for mermaid performances plus she's trained herself to hold her breath for four and a half minutes!
Now, to enhance your mermaiding, there are several abilities to master. First, you have to swim, dive and do twirls from the water without ever holding your nose. If you are utilised to holding your nose, your first step would be to learn how to blow out a little when you first go below and learn to not hold your nose anymore. 2. Ladies Mermaid apparel: If you are attending your local celebration with your daughter, make her a mermaid apparel as well, she'll delight in feeling as the goddess of the ocean.
3. A outfit For Baby: That's right, if you have a baby you will find mermaid outfits for your baby Also, so your infant Won't be left out
Choosing a costume is a bit difficult. There are many types costumes to choose from, some people today want glitters on the tail that makes it more realistic, others needs their dresses more accessorized. Here are some outfits which are easily available for you to get at an affordable price at the local stores.
Ariel became famous on TV and at the movies when Disney made an animated film length feature movie based on their famous cartoon character Ariel. Kids loved to see the Ariel animation, and they enjoyed watching the Ariel childrens mermaid tails Servces film even more, that's the reason there is no doubt they will also love wearing an Ariel Mermaid Costumes that Halloween. Reason enough for you you to choose a toddler mermaid costume for your little toddler.

There are various explanations for why a mermaid costume is loved by most women. Mermaid costumes are available in a variety of different unique designs, styles and colors. Color is a very important part of any costume. The colours of the mermaid costumes are bright, cheerful and very attractive.
Well, some of those costumes do come at a price, and if you're on a tight budget, then you can buy only parts of the costume and create sure components and the accessories yourself.
Ariel is a extremely common name along with your little girl would like to be dressed as this Halloween.
They're stories that the children love away course. They're tales about little girls, like Cinderella, the Sleeping Be. Fairy tale costumes and costumes designed around all the little girls of those fairy tales have been the most well-known outfits for little girls. One of the costumes that have been popular is the fancy ensemble, inspired from the Disney cartoon character Ariel and the various legends that surround the mermaids.
Let us not take the expression 'Fairy' literally and conjure up an image mahalomermaid's facebook that has wings and flies around setting a sparkling magic wand.
Whatever you decide upon, just make certain your little girl would enjoy it. A toddler mermaid costume is among the most versatile of costumes available in the marketplace nowadays. Pick one for your adorable little woman and for sure you'll get
It is possible to design the whole costume and the accessories, if you want. Only a bikini top, a sarong, a few shells, a little bit of imagination and you've got the dress to get a little mermaid princess.
The most important part the fish tail and the fins may take a small producing, but what the hell, it is for your little princess, therefore it would be worth all the trouble and effort.
A famous statue of Atargatis reveals her as a lady from the waist up and a fish out there down. All sea goddesses inherit the sea qualities. Basically mermaids have tails and sometime they've colorful hair. Certain movies like small mermaid, Barbie's Mermaidia and other movies linked to mermaids may provide you a good idea about exactly what mermaids looks like. With a little accessories and imagination, wearing this costume would be a blast.
3. Make sure that your little mermaid's accessories (headdress, necklace, tiara, trick or treat basket, shoes, etc) are comfortable for her.
The Way to take care of your mermaid Halloween costume:
When we think of mermaids we think of Princess Ariel at the Little Mermaid. She was an enjoyable character, beautiful, cheerful, wide-eyed, and most important of all, free to roam. Little girls everywhere would like to be that fresh-faced under-the-sea attractiveness which Ariel faithfully embodies.
1. My top pick for a mermaid movie is "Splash". Not only is it funny and the plot fantastic, but there's quite a little awesome footage of Daryl Hannah mermaiding from the sea. We can not get enough of that! Keep in mind that this is not a children's film. It was created in the '80s, and also for the most part it is okay for your family to watch. But there is a little bit of nudity (evenwhen the mermaid is walking right into New York from the ocean with nothing but her long hair to pay her) and there is some implication of what she and the Tom Hanks character are doing in the elevator, even although nothing is shown. The movie is fantastic, with a great story and awesome mermaid footage and lots of laughs, as well as a great romance.
1. Mermaid Halloween costumes can be made from mesh fabric, organza , and silk. They're also adorned with either hot-glued glitters or sewn-on sequins, making for a delicate ensemble. Handle with care, of course, particularly if you've got long fingernails.
5. When trick or treat is finished, store the mermaid outfit in its original box and then keep in the cupboard.
These are Mermaid costumes mermaid tails Mahalo Mermaid Ariel will be proud of.
Mermaid costumes come in different styles; there is no prescribed form. Whether at a blue and green sequin-studded skirt tail or in a glittering halter top with two starfishes covering the bosom, mermaid Halloween costumes are always fun to wear.
2. Make sure that the mermaid costume is just the perfect length for your kid. When it's too long, the dress is not only going to be prone to ripping, but could also cause injuries because of tripping.
Halloween costumes can be pricey (understandably so), also it is important that you understand how to care for those. That way, your little girl's Halloween costumes, mermaid or can last for decades, and may even be passed down to her cousins and friends.
2. My second top choice is "The Secret of Roan Inish". This is a secure, quiet movie the entire family can enjoy. It had been created in Ireland, and as such is slower and quieter than most American films. It's about a small Irish girl who moves to live with her grandparents. As she gradually solves the puzzle, she brings unity and healing back to the household. In this movie the mythical monster is a selkie, maybe not a mermaid. The selkie lives in the form of a seal. On occasion she climbs up on a stone and eliminates her seal skin, showing a gorgeous woman. So this movie is a bit different, and you will never look at a seal the same manner again.
Most of us have seen Disney's "The Little Mermaid" animated film. But there are numerous others that are absolutely excellent - classics.
Do not worry; your little girl can still walk around inside her mermaid outfit. That's obviously a misconception of parents that believe their little women will just get stuck in their mermaid tails all night on Halloween's eve. Mermaid Halloween mermaidtailsforsale.com costumes end in a tail, clearly, but with a hole for the feet. Your own homegrown little Ariel can trek the whole area in fashion, trick or treating. It is like she is a genuine mermaid newly gifted with thighs, freshly out of water.
4. When it states Dry Clean Only, it means Dry Clean Only. Otherwise, gently hand-wash and use only color-safe bleach when required.
