Though the reason is most probably either cause white is angelic colour or mixed coulour of rainbows I thought this because of that dress (and...that might be foreshadowing of white forgivness dress?):

Because of that first dress being in episode where Esteban after making mistake decided that he (well,and Naomi and Mateo and Luna.Though not really Luna) owes her more than apology, and also because that’s where we got little more of his backstory.

And the second because Esteban was reffering to this episode in his clue, even though she didn’t have that dress in scene he was reffering to. Also, in that episode Elena was especially worried about being noble leader, and she was afraid of losing everything again even though there was no real threat at those point.

Also, that’s why I kinda tried to find connections to certain episodes in Elena’s other colours.

They’ve been here WITHOUT their memories as an PI & FIGHTER at BAKER STREET INVESTIGATIONS & UNDERGROUND FIGHT CLUB for SIX MONTHS. I heard they’re seeking a sanctum.

// whew. jess has a history™. it's long af and spans nearly a century so im not gonna go into crazy detail, but it's still lengthy. and i'm also gonna modify just a bit to fit in with the mcu for plotting reasons and stuff. if you don’t really care about her full history then there’s some bullet points toward the bottom.

she was born in england in 1924 and brought as a small child to the transia (it's a small, fictional slavic country) where her father was conducting research. unfortunately due to her being a small child, she contracted uranium poisoning from her father's work and had to be placed in a cryogenic chamber and treated with radiation and a highly experimental serum derived from the blood/genes of various species of spider.

she spent decades in stasis, educated subliminally with special tapes. when she was finally awakened she had only aged into her early teens, but she'd developed superhuman abilities.

grew up, moved away, met a dude, fell in love, then accidentally killed him with her powers. so yeah that kinda torments her still to this day. well, when she still remembered it anyway.

got recruited into hydra who she was led to believe were the good guys, had her memories suppressed, was told the high evolutionary basically a "god" figure, idek evolved her from a spider into a human woman, had an agent pretend to fall in love with her, etc etc. basically got gaslit and brainwashed into becoming a high ranking member until she was put out on a field assignment and told to assassinate nick fury. during the mission he told her what hydra really was and she dropped their asses.

got her memories back from mordred the mystic, then lived in a shitty apartment in london for a while. ended up breaking into a convenience store across the street at one point to get some food, but got noticed by shield agent jerry hunt who pretty much hounded her until she dyed her hair and created a secret identity to hide from him

did the hero thing for a while, moved to l.a., dated jerry, became a bounty hunter, moved to san francisco, became a p.i., superhero'd some more, met carol danvers 😍

went on a mission to finally take down longtime archenemy morgan le fay, and did so, but not before some morgan did some magic shit and separated her soul from her body ?? so she goes to the sorcerer magnus and has him cast a spell to make everyone who ever met her forget she existed.

not long later she was found and revived by two hero pals, breaking the spell, but she was left comatose. dr strange gets involved, abra cadabra, jess ain't a cadava'. but she is however, powerless.

continued working as a p.i. until an encounter with the new spider-woman mattie franklin somehow restored her powers, which came back slowly and were very unstable. meets jessica jones, accidentally zaps tf out of her, then works with her to save the new spider-woman.

eventually struck a deal with hydra to spy within shield so she could get her powers back but the skrull queen veranke was behind it and manipulating her so she could learn to perfectly impersonate jessica. jess ended up held captive for two years aboard a skrull spaceship while veranke took her place.

she and the rest of the captives got saved but because of the havoc veranke wreaked, she didn't exactly receive a warm welcome back.

spent some time rebuilding her reputation until she was invited to join the avengers (for avengers 1 in the mcu, let's say). they did some good work and she eventually fell for clint/hawkeye. they dated a while but things went sideways when he cheated on her (but obvs that's subject to change depending on who picks him up, just leaving that in for now bc it seems kinda noteworthy).

skipping comic spider-verse stuff bc how does that work with the rp, idek.

left the avengers after that and mostly stayed out of their business so she wasn't around for ultron or civil war and instead got back to her roots with some good ol fashioned p.i. work. may have crossed paths with the defenders and other street level heroes during this period.  

then of course, came the snap. jess was one of the ones that vanished. using this instead of her death during secret wars in the comics. when everyone came back she joined all the others to fight thanos and damn right she was part of that moment with all the female heroes like she should have fucking been irl.

when things settled down after y'know, dying, she realized that she wanted to be a mother and raise a child, and almost never got that chance. instead of waiting, she got herself artificially inseminated. which was good too tbh because like, look at her luck with men and imagine getting stuck in one of those relationships she'd been in so far. way better off doing it on her own smh

got invited to an alpha flight maternity ward by her captain marvel but when she went there it ended up getting overrun by skrulls and being super fucking pregnant she called carol for help, but the maternity ward was apparently in a black hole?? bc ofc it was lol. so jess protected all the women there, had an emergency c-section to give birth to her son gerry, then popped right off the table to finish kicking skrull ass. carol got there just in time for jess to collapse into her arms after the fight. headcanon — there was always a crush there but this was the moment jess fell hard.

had a liiittle teensy falling out with carol tho so she ended up kissing roger gocking/porcupine right in front of her during a battle that ended up repairing their friendship. then she went on to have a party announcing she and roger were dating but lbr she did most of this sub/consciously hoping to get a rise out of carol. but her spider-baby ended up crawling out a window and roger was the one to find and save him and there were some actual feelings there too, so. complicated. she kind of distanced herself from everything else to focus on p.i. work and raising her son.

not much later, jess realized her radiation immunity was gone and her powers were killing her, so she had roger take gerry to an upstate farm in case her condition could potentially harm her son, then set out on the search for a cure. that search of course, leading her to limbo city, nevada.

upon her arrival however, her memories quickly started to fade and by the time she woke up the next morning she had no specific recollection of memories. just innate and instinctive knowledge like her emotions toward people she was familiar with, emotional trauma that manifests mostly in her dreams, maternal instincts/yearning, her abilities both physical and learned, her interests and likes/dislikes, etc. things that come naturally to her, for the most part.

interestingly though, the town’s magic seems to have cured her??

gonna say she speaks english, romanian, german, hungarian, symkarian, russian, bulgarian, polish and spanish fluently, and knows a bit about a number of other languages.

incredibly intelligent, she is after all the daughter of a genius, raised among scientists conducting research, and her knowledge/intelligence was only maximized by her stasis education tapes.

exudes a high concentration of pheromones that can attract or repulse people, to put it simply. and ignore the original heteronormative connotations bc women aren't typically the ones she wants to repulse, and men arent always the ones she wants to attract. it's difficult to control but she learned over the years. even now without her memories she has innate control over it, but if she manages to work up a sweat (which isn't all that easy for her tbh) or misses a shower or two, well… it's gonna kick in.

she probably can't do it anymore in limbo because she can't remember how, but with her pheromones she learned to control them so well she was able to elicit fear, anxiety, attraction, hatred, pleasure, etc. and even used them to convince the hulk to make her a sandwich once.

Going through all Lena Luthor scenes with my best friend (season 3 edition, pt4)

Ahh, I tried to post everything before 03x18 dropped, but life has been... unkind lately and I’m just dead. And I also didn’t have enough time to write everything down as fast as I wanted to. Anyways, I’ll have her watch the 3x18 scenes tomorrow so there’s that!

03x11 Fort Rozz

Her: The hell was that? Did they really bring her in for a 30-second scene? Sidenote, I liked her hair in this one. Me: They probably shot more scenes with her though? Like, for other episodes. Her: Yeah, but why not use her more in an episode if she’s already there? Oh, and I can’t wait for her to see the fist imprint on her desk.

03x12 For Good (yet another (super lengthy) Lena-centric episode for our viewing pleasure!)

Her: OH. Right. (she saw Lena and James together) Bitch, if she wants to join in a meeting, she will join the meeting! She’s the boss, after all, she can do whatever she wants.

*Edge appears* Her: Why the fuck is he still here??

*Edge: I don’t have to kill you, Lena. You already did.* Her: I wanna reach in there and punch him.

*Lena: Burn in hell, Edge.* Her: Please let this be foreshadowing (she really hates Edge, you guys, I’m living 😂)

Her: Again, I love her (Lena’s) clothes. Maybe that bad outfit was a one-time thing...

*Kara catches the keys mid-throw* Her: Why is no one finding this weird? Does she do that all the time? Maybe it’s her party trick. Maybe that’s what they do when they’re bored at work. Throw shit at her and see if she’ll catch them *laughs*

*interaction with Edge* Her: So what? Is this a battle to the death now? Because it was all sunshine with him before and now he’s taken it seriously? And she’s only tried to kill him once! He has no right to talk.

*James: He’s tried to kill Lena plenty of times and she’s never retaliated. Lena:*

Her: If that face doesn't scream “innocent”, I don’t know what does *laughs*

Her: Poor thing is so tired of people coming after her though... She doesn’t deserve this!

*Eve hands Lena the coffee* Her: So many alarm bells just went off in my head. Don’t drink this, it’s poisoned!

*Lena falls down* Her: Oh my god, I felt this in my stomach. You know how when something happens or someone gets hurt and you feel some tingling or some weird shit like that? I felt it.

Her: Aww, she didn’t even change into her costume. Wait though, why is her (Lena’s) neck so stiff? Like she’s holding it up. And her hand is on Kara’s back too! Is she even unconscious? *laughs*

Her: Look at Dr. Grey go.

Her: Okay. Another assassination attempt thwarted. We can breathe again.

*Lena: We were flying and you were carrying me. Kara; I was? Like Supergirl? I wish!* Her: Bitch!

Her: Wait wait wait. Wait. What the hell is she doing back at the office?? She was just poisoned, she almost died and they just let her go? They could have sent her to a regular hospital if they didn’t want her to be in their secret base when she woke up, the fuck??

*Lena: Kara? Maybe you don’t know what I am. James: Hey, I know you.* Her: Excuse you? Since when? Who the hell wrote this?? I don’t have a problem with James, but dude. He does not know Lena better than Kara, what is this shit??

*Lena: Great. I feel better.* Her: She needs a hug so bad... And probably some therapy.

*The Dissolving Bullet Project* Her: I knew her mum was behind it! That’s where they’re getting at, right? Her mother is back?

Her: I knew her mum was behind it!

Her: She’s still calling her “mother” instead of “mum”. She’s still pissed and I don’t blame her.

*Lena: Other than Edge’s obsession with me, I am great.” Her: Yeah you are! You’re awesome!

Her: Okay. You know what? She (Lillian) is not exactly wrong. Like, if I were Lena, and I had bought that magazine, I wouldn’t go to work there, you know? I’d sent Sam over there and I’d stay at L-Corp. She (Lena) is a scientist, after all, she said it herself she doesn’t know anything about running a media empire. So why not stay at L-Corp and do what she does best?

*Lillian: Please let me prove to you how much I love you.* Her: It’s so sad to see her (Lillian) exploiting her (Lena) so... I don't know, so shamelessly? She knows exactly what her daughter wants and needs (she means Lillian’s love and approval), and she’s using that against her all the time! It’s toxic and she needs to run far far away.

Her: I’m so used to seeing her change like two or three outfits per episode, now it seems weird she’s still wearing what she was wearing in the beginning *laughs* Not that it’s bad, it’s actually a really nice suit. And awww, she looks so troubled and sad, poor cutie...

Her: So... Are they (Alex and Sam) a thing now? Cause I could see it happening.

Her: Awww I feel so bad for her (Sam)...

*Lena: I tried to kill Edge.* He: Oh right, I forgot not everyone knows this by now  *laughs* Also, she tells this to Kara, not James, who, you know, apparently knows her better than Kara does now...

*Lena: I’m smart. Cunning, strategic, I think steps ahead of most people.* Her: And she needed her mother to tell her??

*Kara: And you needed your mother to remind you of that?* Her: THANK YOU

*Kara: I’ve seen your trophies.* Her: So Kara has been to Lena’s house? When do we get to see that?? I wouldn’t be surprised if she lived in her office or like... had a room built underneath the building or something.

*Lena: And I’m gonna need your help.* Her: Her (Kara’s) help or Supergirl’s help?

Her: Boooobs. (also, Kara’s face in that screenshot tho 😂)

Her: I like how “mouth breather” is an insult. (we don’t have this expression here)

Her: *laughs* Why is she (Lena) looking at her (Kara) like she’s about to devour her?? (we all know what she’s talking about)

Her: That guard is gonna have to explain how he got his ribs broken... And, as much as I liked the line, he was doing his job, right? Dunno. Maybe he could have been less grabby...

 Her: He (Edge) is probably trying to overcompensate for something with his two big pools. Just saying.

*Lena: Because you screwed with her daughter.* Her: I mean... I mean... I don’t know. This family is weird.

How hilarious would it be if she (Lillian) had also hacked those drones so that they would flip him (Edge) off?

Her: You know what I find weird? That no matter how well-dressed and everything she (Lena) is, her nails are never done in any way. (guys. She noticed the nails 😂)

*Edge hides behind a man so that he won’t get shot* Her: What a fucking coward.

Her: Fuck off, now even he knows Kara is Supergirl!

Her: I like it when she (Lena) is so cold and calm actually. Dunno why.

*Edge’s confession* Her: *laughs* Can you imagine if she had forgotten to press record? *laughs more*

Her: *dies laughing*

*Supergirl: Suit’s a bit much, don’t you think? Lillian: Says the girl in the cape.* Her: What are you comparing? That suit is ridiculous and hilarious!

*Lena drops the recorder* Her: For fuck’s sake, get your shit together.

*Mon-El appears* Her: Oh. I know him.

*Edge gets the recorder (really slowly if I might add, I mean come on!)* Her: *rolling her eyes* Lena always has more than enough time to do shit and she never does anything! Because she’s- staring at Supergirl or something.

*Lena chasing Edge* Her: *laughs* She can never run properly, it’s always so funny.

Her: At least she (Lena) makes up for it in kicks. And punches, that girl’s (she means Jack’s CFO as I’ve come to understand) eye is probably still bruised *laughs* (I think she thinks she's really funny...)

*Mon-El: Miss Luthor. Glad to see you’re okay. Lena: Yeah. I could say the same thing about you...* Her: *laughs* Yeah, cause that’s the face you make when you’re really glad.

*Lena: You know where to find me. My name’s on the building.* Her: *snorts* I love her.

Her: So wait. that asshole is gone?? Me: For now, yeah. Her: Finally! Me: You can breathe again? Her: I hated him so much. Me: Yeah, no shit.

*Lena: You wanna know why I’m not a killer? Friends.* Her: That... Makes no sense? So what, people with no friends are killers? Or does she mean that she would be a killer if she didn’t have friends? Is this foreshadowing again? Cause we know she’s been fighting with Supergirl so that’s like minus one friend for her, and then she’s gonna find out Kara is Supergirl so she'll be fighting with Kara, so she’ll be without both her best friends. And then that other girl (Sam) is probably gonna die too, and then she (Lena) is gonna turn evil. There. I wrote the rest of the season. Though I’m not sure I want her to turn evil. She’s too nice for that, its hard to imagine that after going through so much, she’ll snap because of that... I dunno how I feel about it (the eternal struggle of “Lena is too good to be evil” and “Lena would be too good if she was evil”)

*Kara: That’s what friends are for.* Her (to me): Thank you for being my friend so I don’t have to go out and kill people.

*Lena: Yeah, Kara... I saw Mon-El. He was here with Supergirl.* Her: I love how she just told her right away that she saw Mike. I’m not even gonna comment on the fact that she still hasn’t put two and two together and figured out that she saw him with fucking Kara though. Ugh!

*Kara: It’s complicated. I’ll tell you about it.* Her: Like hell, you will.

Her: She looks so pretty! Stop!

*Alex: I’ll figure it out. Lena: We all will.* Her: Well, we all know who ended up figuring it out.

Soooo... I saw an One Piece tag in Reddit, and for some reason I really like doing tags, even though no one gives a fuck about it. Since I have nothing better to do, LET’S ANSWER IT!

1 - Who is your favorite character and why? (Additionally, who is you fav Straw Hat?)

Most people would guess that it’s Sanji, since I’m crazy for this boy literally since I put my eyes on him... But my favorite character is Luffy, because without him, I wouldn’t stay interested in One Piece for much time. I kept watching the anime because I thought he was a funny and interesting protagonist, and it changed my life.

Besides, he is everything I love in a character (Especially in a protagonist): Dreamer, determinated, funny loyal and dumb. He inspired/inspires me in many, many ways, and I just love this strawhat boy.

2 - Who is your favorite villain and why?

That’s a tough one... Arlong impacted me the most (I hate, haaaaate his guts!) and Lucci akuma-no-mi is pretty cool. But I’m saying Crocodile. I mean, c’mon, the guy tricked an entire kingdom, defeated Luffy TWICE (I think it was twice, correct me if I’m saying shit), had an entire organization... And had banana crocodiles and a cool casino. And his akuma-no-mi is badass too. I kind of hope that he appears again in these recents arcs, even if it’s very unlikely!

3 - What is your favorite quote or statement? 

Oh man, there’s so many of them... Screw that, I’m making a small list.

-  "When does a man die? Does he die when he's been shot? No. Does he die when he's ravaged with disease? No. Does he die when he's been poisoned? NO! A man dies when, and only when, he is FORGOTTEN! “

-  "A man's dream will never die!"

- “The government says your existence is a crime, but no matter what kind of weapons you may hold, just being alive isn't a sin! THERE'S NO CRIME IN LIVING!!!''

4 - Who is your favorite female character?

Urgh, I love all my girls! I love Robin, Vivi and Nami nearly equally, but I’m saying Nami. Her backstory was the first one that actually made me cry. It’s amazing to think that he was stealing from pirates that could kill her, even though that she was just a child! That moment when she asked for help... Damn, it brings me chills. 

And I also love how even though she was already extremely important for the crew while being only the navigator, she still wanted to become stronger, and asked for Usopp to create the Clima Tact. She uses her intelligence to fight, fights for her friends when it’s necessary and still saves everyone’s butts by being the amazing navigator we know!

5 - What is your favorite fight? 

I gotta say the fight against Lucci. Not only was a very intense battle and it was the first time Luffy used a Gear, but I love its meaning. If he needs to kick the World Government’s ass to save a crewmate, he will absolutely do it. Nothing shall stand in his and his nakama’s way!

6 - What is your favorite episode? 

Well, I don’t ACTUALLY watch the anime since Alabasta. After that, I’ve only watched a few loose episodes, so I don’t know a lot about the anime. But I’m saying the episode that Brook joined the crew. The expressions and the voice acting are just on point!

7 - What is your favorite One Piece opening?

We Are!, of freaking course. It’s the only opening that I never skipped while I watched the anime. Although We Go! comes in a close second. Believe in Wonderland is good too.

8 - What is your favorite movie, special or "episode of"?

I did enjoyed Strong World and 3D2Y a lot, but Gold was amazeballs, starting with that freaking catchy song in the beginning. The animation is GORGEOUS, Tesoro is very interesting in my opinion, the outfits are amazing, and the final battles were pretty cool too. I didn’t liked Carina very much, tho

9 - What is your favorite arc in One Piece?

Alabasta, without any doubt. Baroque Works was freaking charismatic, the scenarios were interesting as hell, Vivi was an amazing character in general, the battles were intense and fun, and it’s such a funny arc! I really like the filler were Ace spends a while with the Strawhats too. Water 7 comes in a close second place.

10 - What is your favorite One Piece videogame? 

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. It’s so much fun to play with characters like Hancock, Ace, Law and Tashigi! The story log is very nostalgic and the dream log is addicting as hell.

11 - If you were in the One Piece universe, who's crew would you join and why?

What kind of question is that? Strawhat Crew, of course! They all have this sense of one for all and all for one, and they really look like a family, and this is very heart-warming to me.

12 - What is the saddest One Piece moment?

Weeeeeeell... I’ve been stuck in Dressrosa for a while, and the saddest moment in my opinion is at Whole Cake. I took EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SPOILER of this arc, though. Without hesitation, it’s Sanji’s backstory. I feel like crying when I only see PICTURES of his backstory... I don’t even want to think what I’m going to feel when I actually get in Whole Cake. Sanji occupies a very special place in my heart, so it hurts a lot to see that this was his past. Congratulations, Oda, you completely broke my heart once again. Also, Pudding can stick her finger in her third eye and go to hell

13 - What is the most shocking moment? 

The third scene that made me cry in One Piece: Usopp VS Luffy in Water 7. These two are such good friends! That’s why I remember that I was freaking out when they began to fight. 

14 - What is the funniest One Piece moment and who is the funniest character?

There are plenty of funny moments in this beautiful story, so I’m going to say more than one. Zoro getting lost, Luffy’s impressions, Robin’s imagination and all the “Can you poop?” moments. And of course that Luffy is the funniest character.

15 - What is the most memorable moment? 

That moment when Luffy gets Zoro’s swords, and he defends his captain for the first time. C’mon, it’s the beginning of the crew!

“It was no trouble, Captain.” 

16 - What is your favorite ability in One Piece?

Hana-Hana No Mi. It’s elegant, has many uses and it can be powerful as heck. I totally want it! Emperor’s Haki is a close second, tho... 

17 - Do you own any One Piece merchandise? (Official or not)

Many of them! All the mangas that were/are being released on Brazil, the special editions (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Wanted!) an giant wallpaper, plenty of posters, many figure actions, an Sanji cosplay, a flag, a strawhat, a keychain and a notepad (The last two actually came from Japan!), a necklace and a shirt.

18 - Do you prefer watching One Piece in sub or dub?

As I said up there, I’m brazilian... So I never actually had acess to the english dub, and the portuguese dub (It’s a very good dub, btw) came out before I knew One Piece. So, it’s sub.

19 - What is the #1 thing you love the most about One Piece?

I’m a sucker for this kind of thing: The whole dreams, freedom, friendship and bravery message that it passes. I keep the lessons that One Piece gave me deep in my heart. They give me hope and happiness in hard moments.

20 - What is the #1 thing you hate the most about One Piece? 

There’s two of them: The brazilian fandom and what they did to Sanji after the timeskip. Brazil’s fandom is full of toxicity, arguing, homophobia and sexism. And Sanji was so smooth and serious before the timeskip, but I feel like he became a gag after the timeskip. Where’s the suave Sanji, goddamnit?!

21 - Does One Piece take your number 1 spot in your top 10 animes? (If not, where?)

Absolutely yes. One Piece saved me from dispair countless times. Its jokes, its lessons, its characters... And if it weren’t for One Piece, I wouldn’t have known half of my friends, and honestly, I don’t know where I was going to be nowdays if I didn’t had them. In many aspects, One Piece saved my life. I’m eternally grateful to Oda. One Piece is a huge inspiration to me in both emotional aspects and in a writer’s point of view. Watching One Piece was the best choice I ever made, because that silly strawhat boy changed my life and took me out of the darkness many times. I love this masterpiece with all my soul.

The Curious case of Heiman  part1

As I promised you guys I am trying to make sense of this relationship and also what is going on with Cartman and why does he behave the way he does.  But first to answer these questions we need to remember that Eric isnt the most mentally stable person in South Park, heck he is one of the most f*ed up one. I did some research on the net to try to find what kind of mental illness/disorder he has and how this affects his relationship with Heidi. My best bet is to go with conduct disorder but he also has some kind of delusional disorder which makes his conduct disorder worse.

Conduct Disorder

At this age Cartman isnt a sociopath/psychopath because these disorders can be diagnosed if somebody is over 18 years old and there are other examples that rule them out fe: saved Kyle and his whole family, helped Stan and Butters and he seems overly emotional . Conduct Disorder is the precursor of these disorders but also the result of an untreated ODD.

There are some examples in the cartoon from Cartman’s past (and present)that point in the ODD’s direction fe: When the boys were in Pre-School and light their teacher on fire Cartman didnt even know how to make fire and he was the first who started to put out the fire. He genuinly felt bad about their teacher at that time and he didnt even realized they could get into trouble until his friends started to panic. This isnt the case anymore and he doesnt seem to care about their ex-teacher or what they did, the reason is because his disorder became worse.  But he still has problem with focusing and paying attention and in many cases he is still more underdeveloped than the other boys fe: with girls, relationships (friends, family).

The symptoms of Conduct Disorder

1.      Aggressive behavior that causes or threatens harm to other people or animals.

We saw Cartman many times hurt or bully others fe: when he handcuffed billy turner’s leg to the flag pole, gave him a hecksaw and poisoned his lunch milk and made him believe he need to cut off his leg to get the antidote or he will die just because he called him chubby and we also saw him hurt his cat in the past although he became nicer to it and to other cats.

2.      Deceitfulness or theft, such as breaking into someone’s house or car, or lying or “conning” others.

There were many occasions when Cartman used his charm to manipulate others, his friends, classmates and mother fe: In the Casa Bonita episode when he tricked Butters who believed the world had ended and Kyle because he wanted to go to his favourite place.

But as time goes by he is getting better and better of it. In the past he had to hurt himself to cry but nowadays he can make himself cry on purpose.

And we also know that he broke into Kyle’s house many times and he had a mission impossible kit that he regulary used for who knows what.

  3. Serious rule violations, such as staying out at night when prohibited, running away from home overnight.

Those things are also true. Cartman has a hard time to follow rules and obey others and he distrubted his class many times. And he also run away from home fe: In the Tsst and the cthulhu episode.

4.      Many youth with conduct disorder may have trouble feeling and expressing empathy or remorse and reading social cues.

The show many times bring our attention to this, Cartman simply doesnt know or doesnt understand empahty and emotions and how they work. Sometimes he doesnt even know if he hurt others or he doesnt care because he is incapable to put himself into others shoes.

 fe:

a.)    Casa Bonita episode, his conversation with Kyle

K: That isnt it Cartman.

C: What isnt it?

K: That is just putting up a nice sweater.

C: I dont understand the difference.

K: I know you dont.

 b.)    He also asked Jimmy how does he act nicely to people and that shows that he believes everybody acts who is nice because he cant be genuinly nice. He also panicks and beats up Jimmy and tries to excuse his actions by blaming him and how rude he was to Kyle who he tries to manipulate again.

 c.)    His conversation with Stan:

 C: Maybe Kyle’ s got a disease and died that would be so awesome

S: dont joke about that, it isnt funny.

C: Who is joking?

 d.)   His whole actions against Butters. He manipulated Butters and managed to get him out of his way but he forgot  that other humans feel compassion and they would try to find the boy instead of having fun.

e.)    When he thought Mr. Mackey made his mother cry instead of him

f.)     In the chtulu episode he also questioned his mother about his feelings and what to do to fix his problems.

 6.      Often misinterpret the actions of others as being hostile or aggressive and respond by escalating the situation into conflict.

He does this all the time and his vivid imagination (which can also be because of mental illness) doesnt help. fe: when he imagined that Token tried to kill him or when Kyle tries to help him. The problem that Eric always reads Kyle’s actions wrongly and cant imagine that the boy tries to help him. Even with Heidi Kyle was the only one who tried to help him out in his own way but because he doesnt trust him he ignored his advice because he thought that he just wanted to ruin his relationship.

  7.      Conduct disorder may also be associated with other difficulties such as substance use, risk-taking behavior, school problems, and physical injury from accidents or fights.

We dont really see Cartman using any drugs maybe because of her mother’s influence but we saw him overeating, maybe instead of drugs and alcohol (like Stan) he gets his fix from food or he still uses the coughing medicine as a drug sometimes:

And we also see him get into fights because he cant express or even realize his emotions fe: He always teased Wendy after their kiss and probably had a crush on her but because he doesnt know how positive feelings work and how to adress his issues he bullied her which ended in a fight.

How this disorder affects his relationship with Heidi and how will it end?

Well for this I looked up how sociopaths/ psychopath behave in a relationship because as I said before conduct disorder is a stepping stone for it and it lines up pretty well what happened with them.

Stages of psychopathic relationship:

1.      Love Bombing= Honeymoon Stage: That is the time of the perfect, idealized relationship. When the victim feels that their match was made in heaven and that she found her soulmate.

At the beginning Heiman was just like that. Cartman toned down his behaviour and pretended to be PC and care about the same issues as Heidi, although the whole thing can be the end result of the beat up he received from PC Principal and his friends’ betrayal, he still behaved differently and praised Heidi all the time, either to be on her good side because he didnt want to lose her too or because he cared for her. It is hard to tell because he imagined their life on Mars so there is a huge possibility he loved her. And even in the past he seemed to care about her fe: when he was happy to be paired up with her and when he asked Mr Garrison to give her a better grade, he even made a picture of her. So he had some kind of interest which probably got stronger when he started to date with her.

 2.      Devalution Stage

That is the stage when the psychopath’s fascination with their „loved” one start to lessen and they try to pull away. They starts to behave hot and cold because they still want to keep the relationship alive but at the same time want to get rid off their partner. They starts to devalue and abuse their partner while still try to give some kind of attention to keep her/him hooked up. This is the stage of manipulation. The psychopath’s behaviour is getting worse and worse until their partner starts to blame him/herself for their failing relationship and starts to feel completly worthless.

I think Heiman is in this stage right now. Cartman tries to pull away and break up with Heidi because he doesnt feel the same admiration like he did in the past but he still value her in a way and wants her back, he isnt ready to get rid off her yet. He balmes Heidi for his losing interest and he tries to devalue her and make her as miserable as he is, maybe to make her feel that she is the one who doesnt deserve him. He manipulates and abuses her. But there is a difference tho instead of balming Heidi he starts to put the blame on Kyle which is pretty strange. Maybe he genuinly feels that Kyle is to blame for his failing relationship or he just uses Kyle to manipulate Heidi. The first one seems more possible after the whole Dumbo and other references part:

The victim also start to realize that something is wrong but they deny it because of their good memories of the first stage. They question themselves and their relationship all the time.

 3.      The Stage of Contempt

The psychopath feel hate towards their partners and they dont feel any remorse for hurting them both mentaly and physically. At this stage the victims feel worthless and they endure the abuse because they blame themselves for everything. They are completly broken at this point. 

As things going right now I think that this is where Heiman is heading in the future. We can also argue that they are in this stage already because Cartman seemed to start to hate Heidi and even tried to get rid off her although he seems to be more depended on her and tries to be on her good side instead of treating her as complete dirt and actually hurt her physically (he wants others to do it tho). We will see but I think his treatment towards Heidi will become really cruel and I am not sure if I really want to see the complete realization of this stage. :(

4.      The end- break up. After the abuse of the last stage the psychopath will discard and throw away their victim as a broken toy. Probably this won’t happen because either Kyle will manage to convince Heidie to broke up with Cartman or she will do that by herself and she will kick Cartman’s butt.

There is an other way to look at their relationship which is less sociopathic but very close to conduct disorder:

At the beginning he was interested in Heidi but it wasnt as a big deal as his  other interests or crushes fe: Wendy or  friends or games but after his other interests disappeared and Heidi approached him and started to spend time with him he developed a crush on her or at least some kind of fascination, maybe even love because he seemed pretty into her or maybe being an outcast also stenghtent his feelings for her.

In a way he became pretty depended on her and he seemed content with that until Butters put the bugs into his ear with the whole girls dont need you and they will just use you speech and we all know how vivid Cartman’s imagination is and how badly he can read people and social norms so he believed Butters.

He realized how smart and amazing Heidi is and how people will follow and befriend her easily while he will stay in the shadow and how easily she can use and leave him. Heidi doesnt need to be alone, she chooses to be that way while he was cast out by others and he can never have the same realtionship with others like Heidi has. In a way he envies her and because she is too good for him he tries to devalue her to make her stay and appreciate him more.

And there is an other problem, lots of things in their relationship is based on lies. Cartman isnt PC and he doesnt care about the same issues as Heidi and sometimes he hates those things that she likes (fe: movies, healthy diet…)  but he faked his interests maybe because at the beginning he also wanted to change (because of PC Principal) or to be closer to Heidi, who knows? One thing is sure he got tired pretending that he is somebodyelse and he was afraid that this would change their relationship and Heidi would get mad and leave him.

But instead of clearing up his mistake and admit his lies (which Heidi probably knows already) he started to put the blame on her and others. I think Cartman feels guilty but because that is a pretty new feeling for him, he tried to distance himself from Heidi and that is why he tried to escape with Alexa because he could be himself and didnt have to think about his emotions, problems and guilt.

And because of his disorder similar to introvers he needs space and the more Heidi tried to get involved and spent more time together the more he started to get annoyed, fustrated and yes even started to hate her and what introvers do when they are overhelmed? Well normal introverts would try to talk with their friends and partners about their issues (but people with conduct disorder are different, they have hard time feeling empathy so they dont know why people might want to spend too much time together and how to solve their issues) but if that doesnt help and they reach their breaking point they will ditch and ignore you like you dont exist. I think this was also the reason why Cartman broke up with Heidi at the first time and why he felt happy+ he got rid off his guilt. But after he had some alone time and could regain some of his energy and himself he wanted Heidi back because he missed her.

In a way Cartman in his mind at least he still thinks he loves Heidi but because he causes the failing of their relationship he tries to get rid off his own guilt by blaming others and as I said before he wants to force Heidi to stay with him because he knows that Heidi is too good for him so to make her stay he has to make her as ugly and miserable as he is which is f*ed up.

But after Kyle tried to step in we saw his broken heart which can mean that either he doesnt love Heidi anymore and he will focuse on his rivalry with Kyle or that he blames Kyle for his ruined relationship eitherway he will use Heidi up to get back at him, no matter what.

And I think we all know how this will end. Cartman will hurt and abuse Heidi but at the end he will fail and Heidi and the others will beat him up and maybe Kyle and Heidi will get together (which I wouldnt like that much because Kyle doesnt really like Heidi and she doesnt need an other bad relationship).

Or (which is unlikely but I am hoping for) Heidi manage to confront Cartman and he will break down and tries to tell the truth and fix his failing relationship with her. I would personally like a healthy Heiman relationship similar to what they had at the beginning but based on truth and actual caring.

Cartman can change and can have a normal life and realtionship but for this he would need real therapy fe: Psychotherapy and behavioral therapy (not anger management because that doesnt help people with conduct disorder) and the help of his mom and friends and classmates. We saw from the Tsst episode when the Dog Whisperer taught Cartman’s mother how to behave in front of her son and how to discipline him, we saw his behaviour changing because that is what he exactly needs. A healthy home, a normal mother and classmates. And he could keep these changes up if his mother didnt ruin the whole thing. His friends arent really good at helping him because he learned many of his behaviour from them and they usually just ditch and ignore him. And his classmates bully him. We saw what happened to Clyde after he took over his role as the fat kid in his class. He almost broke down and he became as agressive as Cartman.

I wouldnt mind if Heidi could help Cartman out with his issues but that is a huge burden for a little girl like her.

since his group of friends pulled him into this

they were all childhood friends and had promised to stay as a group when they were still really young

and their friendship had remained strong throughout the years

they need someone to look after them anyways

it was kinda funny to imagine that they would be nowhere without him 

seokmin would probably have his kidney hanging out of his body or something

but today, it was joshua himself who got injured 

they were on a mission to kill the president of a corrupted company

so all of them went,, since the building was really big

and jeonghan stayed in the car as standby

jihoon too,,, he was just monitoring them aft hacking the building’s cctvs

soo for those in the building

they were moving tgt, although pretty spaced out

joshua lagged behind the group bc he was on the lookout

but suddenly someone just grabs him from the back and joshua managed to kick him off

but that man came back and just flung him

shua was practically thrown against a window + shelf while trying to attack back

and there was a huGEE gash running up his upper arm

resulting in his arm bleeding a waterfall of blood

apparently the company had higher security than they had predicted so

abort mission for real

when they were in the car + when they got back, joshua couldn’t do anything bc ,,,

i mean ,,,

how tf is he supposed to treat himself

soonyoung was just pressing a thick cloth onto the wound but it wasn’t of much help really

everyone else would be able to help with minor wounds but this one was asdfgkl

,,, joshua wouldn’t be able to help even if it happened on another member

it was that bad

and ok jeonghan knew how to stitch wounds up 

but they don’t have anesthetic

so he couldn’t stitch the wound up bc joshua would probably die from the pain first before dying from blood loss

and joshua was just getting paler and paler by the minute

this wound just couldn’t get treated by any of them

“i think we need to get you to a hospital”

cue joshua pouting bc he never really liked hospitals

the doctors never really cared

shua had a few hospital visits when he was younger

none of them being good experiences

like omg the doctors act as if everything can be cured by ice packs

got a bruise? have an ice pack. 

have a stomach ache? have an ice pack. 

broke your neck? have a fucking ice pack.

like do i look like a moron to you

ok back to the story

seungcheol was kinda hesitant at first but 

1. he knew their assassin group was pretty private so no one would recognize them 

2. shua was gonna die and

3. shua is screaming

ok not really screaming screaming

but making weird grunting noises

of pain

whatever 

he needed to live

the team needed him

so 

an hour later 

joshua and everyone else were in front of the local hospital 

andddd you worked there as a pretty experienced doctor

so! 

suddenly

that night

a horde of men just run into the hospital like a fucking tsunami was chasing them lmao

“is there a doctor available?!!!” 

you were the closest to them and you didn’t even have to ask who’s injured

bc this,,, brown-haired guy,,,, in the middle of all of them,,, being held up by 2 guys,,, was literally red

like i mean everything was red

except for his face which was ghostly !!! white !!!

but his clothes were soaked in his own blood and his flesh on his arm was cut open and it was so deep and just

omg it was really really gory

you were pretty shook

“did you guys murder someone or something??”

everyone just gave each other awkward glances 

like um techincally yes we did

you quickly led them to a room and did all the procedures

aka stitching of the wound

but you didn’t allow the whole group of them to follow you in bc you counted 13 of them in total like nonononono get out all of you

so only seungcheol followed

you stitched up joshua’s wound after injecting him with local anesthetic to numb the area

and seungcheol had to look away bc ew

joshua was still really pale tho like the amount of blood he lost was ,,, a lot ,,,

“i think he’s gonna have to stay here for a day or two,” you told seungcheol

seungcheol just nods and leaves and you try to call him back to sign the papers but he juST LEFT 

you were dumbfounded like okay so you’re just ?? gonna ?? leave your friend here ???

but joshua (you learnt his name from seungcheol while you were stitching up joshua’s wound) was asleep

and reasonably so

he would’ve been really weak and tired, considering how much blood he lost

you couldn’t help but stare at him for a while bc he,,, looked ,,, cute

there was a little frown on his face but he still looked pretty relaxed

and his features and everything were just so perfectly sculpted ajdskjfh

ok no y/n you’re a professional doctor stop it

so you let him sleep in the ward after updating his medical reports

and you were on night shift so you were gonna stay in the hospital through the night

you went on your daily rounds and settled more patients

but when you went to check back on joshua about 4 hours later

the hospital bed was empty ,,, with just a few cash notes lying on the sheets

o and a little handwritten note too

which just said “thanks for stitching up my wound & taking care of me”

and the amount of cash beside the note was the exact fee he had to pay

okay maybe a few dollars less but that didn’t really matter

what mattered was that hE wASN’T WELL ENOUGH TO LEAVE YET

the wound would open again if he does any strenuous activity omg

but that worry didn’t last very long bc you had other patients to take care of

you couldn’t keep him on your mind like that

fast forward a few weeks later

joshua’s wound !! has healed !!!

not completely but the stitches are out (yes he did it himself) and the wound’s pretty closed already

but he still wasnt in prefect condition so he was sent on a fairly simple mission

which involved killing someone again

but this target was hospitalized 

so it was an easy task

all joshua needed to do was to insert the poison,,, venom thingy,,,, into that person’s IV

but no 

it didn’t go as well as planned

he realized that the person was staying in the same hospital as he was previously

but he didn’t think much of it bc he was here for only a short while

and his identity wasn’t really recorded soOooO 

he just went into the target’s ward, acting as a visitor, a regular mask covering his nose and mouth

and a casual cap over his head

i mean he looked pretty normal

and the target was soundly sleeping

joshua pulled the tiny vile from his pocket, quietly grabbing the syringe from the nurse’ table at the corner of the room, filling it with the poison and injecting it into the IV

“what are you doing?” 

joshua threw the syringe under the bed and stuffed the empty vile into his butt pocket and turned around

shit 

out of all doctors, it had to be you

you ran over, pushing him aside, ripping the IV out of the patient’s arm

the patient had woken up, obviously alarmed and confused

joshua looked away, afraid of being recognized by both you and his target

he quickly turned and walked-jogged right out of the room

you quickly told the patient to just go back to sleep first and ran after joshua

but by the time you got out, you couldn’t see him anywhere 

so you just ran down the hallway, pulling out your phone and calling the hospital’s security.

“hello? someone just entered the---”

you didn’t finish your sentence

the door of the storeroom on your right opened and someone grabbed you, placing a hand over your mouth and pulling you in

your phone was snatched out of your hand and that person switched your phone off

the door got locked but the hand was removed from your mouth

you were about to scream but when you saw the perpetrator’s face ;;; 

“joshua....?” 

you recognized him almost immediately 

he was one of the patients you wouldn’t forget easily

besides, he just came in a few weeks ago

joshua smiles a little when you remembered him

“hey.”

“what the hell? why were you in the patient’s room? what did you put into the IV?” 

your voice was getting louder and louder, causing him to widen his eyes & place his hand over your mouth again

he shushes you

“stop speaking so loud!” 

you stare at him like ??? i’m speaking loudly?? you’re the one who just tried to kill my patient???

joshua couldn’t reveal anything so he just ,,

“that guy isn’t good.” 

you were so pissed like did i ask that ????

joshua just changes the topic suddenly like nothing happened 

and he thanked you for the other time

“i know i haven’t thanked you face to face yet, but thank you. it’s a lot better now.” 

you looked at his arm where the wound was, but it was covered by his sleeve so

nvm 

he smiled at you again and you wanted to scream at him like

stop !!! smiling at me !!!!!

he was so cute you really couldn’t take it 

and so you just snatched your phone from him and left the storeroom 

but not before joshua makes sure you “don’t tell anyone about anything” and “pretend he was never here”

like ok i totally can do that 

he honestly didn’t seem like a bad guy

he seemed to hv good reasons

but no your morals got to you

you had to report him

he nearly killed someone

but before going to the security, you went back to your patient’s room to check if he was fine

but the moment you stepped in

you got fuckign strangled

by your patient

he was shouting something like “are you from their team?! did you just try to kill me?!” 

you were just helplessly clawing at his hands while your lungs contracted

you panicked

but suddenly the pressure on your neck disappears and you just crUmble to the floor

joshua had kicked him in the face and he was sprawled on the floor now

joshua grabs another syringe that was from his jacket pocket and just stabbed it into the man’s neck 

and the man just went unconscious

you were still,,, on the floor,,, spluttering and wheezing

joshua rushed over to you 

“are you okay?” 

he pats you a bit, and he suddenly just reaches around your neck gently, his thumb caressing your sore skin

when you could finally breathe again, you were just

“what was that? did you kill him?” 

joshua shook his head.

“it was just a heavy dose of general anesthetic.” 

that was joshua’s back-up.

you heaved a sigh of relief ;;;  joshua would’ve gotten into huge trouble if the man died 

you got really suspicious of joshua bc of what the man had said to you so you started ,,, cautiously ,,,, questioning joshua

and joshua told you. bc he trusted that you wouldn’t do anything.

and you didn’t !!! bc he just saved your life ,,, he was obviously a good guy

everything he said made sense too sooo okay

so you became a new “partner” of his team

you always helped the members treat their wounds and everything whenever they got injured

it was fun

and joshua liked to make jokes about how “getting injured isn’t bad now, i get to see you”

Wonder Woman

This movie was great fun! It hit all the right notes for a superhero movie, and although it was not particularly original it was very well executed and I liked it.

 - The movie is bookended with references to Bruce Wayne, who thankfully doesn’t show up in person, so let’s just ignore those scenes. Actually I’d like to see her meet Steve Rogers, but I guess that would require corporate merger shenanigans at the highest level.

 - (Actually the movie does share plenty of tropes with Captain America: a hero taken out of time, a band of brothers in the war, a villain with apocalyptic plans, a love that is not to be, an aeroplane, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves).

 - Hot diggity, Amazon island! (I keep wanting to say they’re from the Amazon, but that isn’t right at all). It’s got unrealistic waterfalls and everything, that’s how you know it’s blessed by the gods. Oh and a forcefield bubble to keep out the rest of the world, that’s cool too.

 - This has to be the most satisfying representation of the female warrior race ever devised in the past three thousand years, and the movie could have just been two hours of Robin Wright kicking Gal Gadot’s ass while Connie Nielsen smoulders in the background and the audience would have been well satisfied.

 - No Futurama jokes were made in this review. Not even petite ones.

 - Princess Diana (wut? I only just noticed the main character is Princess Di, although in fairness they always refer to her the other way around) I mean Diana, Princess of the Amazons, has the standard chosen-by-destiny origin story and a mother who can’t bear to lose her to fate, and gives her heavily redacted stories of the past. (She boned Zeus! That’s nothing to be ashamed of, everyone has boned Zeus).

 - What could possibly trouble this peaceful island of crazy warrior ladies besides the arrival of... a man. In the form of Chris Pine, whom I must admit I was a little wary of since I haven’t seen him in any movies before so to me he’s a bit of an unknown quantity. But he’s great! In this film at least. Funny guy, charismatic, good love interest, solid support without overshadowing, I think his character works really well.

 - All that dick innuendo while he’s in the bath tho.

 - The man brings news of the Great War, and the Amazons’ sacred duty is to restore the peace... kinda. It’s a bit vague actually; the artfully rendered backstory montage of god fights certainly suggested that, but then what have they been doing for millennia on their island while wars rage across the world outside? Anyway, the bubble has been broken, a bunch of Germans got what was coming to them, Robin Wright took a bullet for Diana and will grimace no more, and Diana is just itching to go kill a god.

 - I mean seriously she is thirsty for god slaughter; when she was six years old her mother showed her the magical god-slaying sword and she literally drooled at it, this woman doesn’t even need a reason she’ll slaughter a god just for sport.

 - Sorrowful partings as Diana sails away from the only world she’s ever known, and spy boy tries to mack on her when they’re barely out of sight of shore. Lucky for him that magical force bubble shields his amorous intentions from her mother, who can and will throw a spear that far if she has to.

 - Wonder Woman, of course, is demisexual.

 - The London scenes where they try on outfits and fight spies in alleys and rustle up a posse of misfits are a lot of fun indeed, then things turn serious as they approach the Western Front. Sometimes the Great War really does feel like the abstract concept of war reified and instantiated in the world, soldiers and generals and politicians alike helplessly forced to dance to its tune without any way to stop, the logic of game theory gone mad. It’s certainly tempting to imagine that there must be an off switch somewhere, and if you could just stab the right guy everything would grind to a halt. Of course, you could say it was shooting the right guy that kicked things off in the first place.

 - Diana charges into no-mans land without even tossing her hair back first and saying “but I am no man”, but you know we were all thinking it.

 - Quick shout out to the cinema audience who laughed and gasped and cried at all the right moments, although I thought I could hear someone behind me repeating the lines slightly before they happened, perhaps closed captions? Either way it was a nice atmosphere, top stuff.

 - That charge scene though, it was something. I’ve heard it described as every woman’s experience facing a machine gun hail of microaggressions, and frankly the less said about that the better. But you can’t help thinking about the men and boys who trudged through that mud without magical shields or bracelets or plot invulnerability to bullets and were cut down in their thousands and left to rot where they fell. It was notable that when she finally reached the German trench she smashed not the soldiers, but the machine gun.

 - I think the movie handled Diana’s gradual power boost very well. She starts off capable of defeating people in hand to hand combat, and slowly levels up to the point where she is casually smashing through walls and swinging tanks through the air with one hand. Amusingly she’s so focused on her quest that she doesn’t think through the implications of her having god-like powers, and everyone around her just accepts it because honestly what else can you do? “Excuse me miss, I can’t help noticing that you just smashed face first through a brick wall and yet your lipstick is still impeccable-”

 - Perhaps her powers scale up based on having Something to Protect, and a lot of tension comes from her realising that she can’t be everywhere and can’t save everyone.

 - Wonder Woman gets busy with Chris Pine; I hope she’s gentle with her new-found strength. (She didn’t try the beer though, which bugs me a little; in fact we never see any of the Amazons eat, I think. Do they grow food on their island? I assume the climate and soil is magically good, so farming should be easy work, and they can spend the time between harvests punching each other).

 - He sketches out a future of life together and work and kids and growing old together (he don’t know she’s immortal, which saves some awkwardness). Sure would be a shame if he selflessly sacrificed himself for a noble cause, especially after he’s already signed a contract to feature in multiple movies.

 - Oh yeah, there is a ludicrously villainous German general (an actual asshole from the Real World, and future Nazi!) and a tortured femme Phantom of the Opera who delights in poison gas who sort of has a thing for him. I reckon a good relationship is one that makes both participants healthier, and what they have going on is the exact opposite of that. I don’t think they quite get enough attention, but since War is the real adversary perhaps that’s intentional.

 - There is obvious awkwardness with making the Germans the main bad guys in this story while the British push for peace, even though the film does make some token efforts at calling for a pox on both their houses. Along with Ludendorff, the real villain could be... Winston Churchill, who as Minister for Munitions at this time was in fact stockpiling a vast armoury of gas and bombs and tanks to be deployed in the offensive he was planning in 1919 that would destroy the German army and win a decisive victory for Britain. Churchill was despondent when they signed the Armistice instead and crushed his dreams of annihilation; he didn’t get his victory until 27 years later, when he finally pissed in the Rhine.

 - I’m grateful that the misfit sidekicks didn’t heroically sacrifice themselves in this movie, they needed to catch a break.

 - Ludendorff might bitch about the Dolchstoßlegende but he didn’t seem to enjoy being stabbed in the front, what a hypocrite.

 - The final showdown arrives in a blaze of rage and glory... and Remus Lupin is the god of war! Now that’s a nice twist, I appreciate a softly spoken man in a bowler hat who wishes to end the pestilence that is humanity. Turns out his powers are not what they once were (although he seems tough enough!) so he has just been chilling on Earth whispering rude thoughts in people’s ears and waiting for Diana to show up so he can make her a Darth Vaderesque offer.

 - You could say that he’s been waiting for Gadot.

 - And it’s over, god is dead and a new day dawns. The soldiers taking off their gas masks is a nice touch; it’s a shame they didn’t get to show something like the 1914 christmas football match. Ultimately the ending echoed Age of Ultron: a being of ultimate power and contempt for humanity is zapped by another being of ultimate power who believes in the redemptive power of love. So it goes.

- Terry Pratchett would say that killing the god doesn’t stop the war, but stopping the war would kill the god, divinity flowing from belief and not the other way around. If no human believed in war, what would Ares even do? Fighting for peace is always a tricky concept, but the structure of a superhero movie based on god-like physical abilities inherently demands it. This one did its best to thread that needle and didn’t mess it up too badly.

 - It’s a shame we didn’t get a reunion scene back home on the island, given that she not only achieved the destiny of her people but survived the attempt. Maybe she can’t find her way back and she’s stuck living with the humans now. The shot of her with a laptop at the end raises the disturbing scenario of Amazons tearing up social media all day instead of throwing down.

 - It’s not clear how Wonder Woman occupied her time during the Second World War and all the other craziness that filled up the 20th century, but no doubt we’ll find out.
