Keep the coast clear you never know whos lurking out here." she says as the coven leader anwsers the door greeting her with a hug " ah well hello siyeon dear, its lovely to see you, though it does worry me considering when you come around you or someone is in a bit of trouble... so tell me, is that so? why dont you come in?"

siyeon nods walking into the house following her to sit down " it's yunho again,... and i know you have no obligation, and it is his fault. but.." she pauses as Lua speaks " you are always cleaning up his messes my dear, and i love and care about you both, but you do know my loyalty can only extend so far, my own will always be of priority, you understand that. That being said what exactly do you need my love?"

she nods in agreeance understanding, before sighing " Lucifer took him, hes in the chambers again.., assumingly. We would just like you to at least do a locator spell from here... is that possible? Just a chance to also see where he is or what kind of state hes in. I will not ask you to open to portal for me to go. not yet.. we have Jeno." The leader hums with a nod " that i can do my dear, do you have something of his? " siyeon nods and reaches over into her bag." yes here, i brought his hairbrush i know by now that this works well for connection to perform the spell" she says with a small smile as Lua takes it leading her to her living room and alter, allowing Siyeon to take a seat on the couch as she prepares things on the table. Pulling some of the hair from out of the brush.

" Should i ask what he did this time? " she shakes her head more in slight frustration mixed with worry " He wasnt on his tasks for a week straight, he got caught. You dont want to know more... hes a dumbass, a whole week? he knew this would- " she cuts off sighing holding her face in her hands " idiot." she mumbles before looking up and watching as she finishes preparing it. The table set with a plate, candle and the hair wrapped around it, sitting right infront of a mirror.

" Now i will burn this, repeat the spell with my eyes closed, ill be able to explain where he is aswell as once i have the location, make it appear on the mirror for us both to see, we wont have but maybe a few seconds." Siyeon nods and gets up standing next to her. " Alright, im ready go ahead." she says, letting the witch get to work, watching as the flame rises, explaning where and what chamber he was in, writing down some notes on her phone to remember and show jeno. " jeno is outside he should see too, he'll recognize the place better than me. Jeno! " she shouts out as he comes in the door, the witch still repeating the words to hold the spell. " im here. " he says standing behind her. " look in the mirror alright?" he nods, looking in the mirror almost having the exact reaction when they see him. " oh god. " " shit. "

they say seeing yunho being repeated punched stomach and face, sitting down on the ground against the hot cage walls. Blood running down from a cut along his forehead. " this must have been repeated, he hasnt even had time to heal like he does. He needs out soon. even for a demon." jeno nods in agreement. as the image fades and Lua stops the spell, the candle going out.

" im so sorry... do you think Lucifer is going to let him out soon? he has to.. right?"

" i sure hope so. "

Hello again Caly 👋🏻 It's been a while, I'm sorry. I’m the anon that messaged you about asking for advice/your opinion on something related to writing a while ago. 🥺 So basically my question would be: what's your stance on writing fan fiction for real people? Do you think it’s fine or kind of weird and why do you think so?

I’ve also written out my background/thoughts for context. You can totally skip that, I just thought it might make sense to explain where I’m coming from. I’m sorry in advance for the wall of text that will follow. I’m very bad at keeping it short. 😭

So, I used to be a writer. I started out with kpop fan fiction when I was around 14 (I’m 24 now), but I stopped writing for kpop groups when I was around 17. From then on I wrote fan fiction for fictional characters, mostly anime characters, but I stopped sometime last year. I still have a lot of unfinished ideas I want to write, a lot of them include fictional characters, but others include real people, like the Ateez members or another group’s members, and that's the problem. Let me explain a little further: After a very painful breakup in the second half of last year I got back into kpop. More than ever. While I was casually listening to a few groups before, I suddenly started getting into like 10 groups within a really short amount of time (got7, mx, dreamcatcher, everglow, skz, svt, oneus etc. just to name a few). It’s been great so far, because the music and the groups are kind of a safe haven to me (if that makes sense). I mean, Kpop really helps me cope and kind of escape or make reality a little easier, I'm sure there are more people out there who feel the way I do. I wouldn’t say I’m overly obsessed or anything, but Kpop just is my biggest source of comfort right now, so sometimes I wonder "isn’t this a bit much?“. It’s a difficult topic. But anyways, of course one of the groups I got into was Ateez, otherwise I probably wouldn't be here writing this right now. So I listened to fireworks when it came out and I was impressed and instantly fell in love with them. A little while after that, when I still couldn’t match all of their names with their faces, I started browsing the ao3 tag out of curiosity and I stumbled across moc. I absolutey fell in love with the story and every aspect of it. It also inspired me to write myself again! I've had so many old and new ideas flood my mind, but I really haven't gotten around to write anything yet, because the fact that I'd be writing fan fiction for real people as an adult woman makes me feel kind of uneasy? But I don’t want it to make me feel uneasy! You know? I think it should be fine as long as you’re capable of differentiating reality from fiction. And as an adult with common sense you usually can do that, right? But I’ve seen many people, mostly on tumblr and twitter, say that it’s just weird and wrong and that it automatically makes you a delusional and obsessive fan. So now I’m torn between wanting to realize all the ideas I have (Big thanks to you, because you, your blog and moc are a huge inspiration for me 💕 also moc is without a doubt the best fan fiction I’ve ever read. It’s just an absolutely impressive and thrilling story) and feeling like I’m not supposed or allowed to do that? I hope that makes sense. I know there’s a million other things I wanted to tell you, but I think that’s enough for now. If this is a discussion that interests you, I might comeback with my two cents. 😳 Anyways, I hope I was able to convey my inner conflict and my feelings and everything. 🥺 English isn’t my first language so it was a bit difficult to phrase everything in a way that felt right. hello hun i'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your ask!! i wanted to make sure to set aside some time so i could be as thorough as possible in my response and give you my thoughts as clearly as possible!

so this debate has been something i've dealt with and struggled with a lot over the years of consuming fanfiction and creating it. i started out writing fanfiction of media like anime before getting into kpop, and it took me around 3 years to even start reading kpop fanfiction. every once in a while, the debate of whether or not real person fanfiction is okay or not comes up, and that does always discourage me. i wish i could be like 'yeah im solidly set in this opinion!' but i do still get discouraged myself, and that's something i think a lot of people struggle with! i resonate a lot with how you feel and what your opinions are and how much music and kpop means to you. i also get those worries of 'isn't this a bit much?' and such and it's a difficult thing to talk about and think about, but as you said, i think there is a line when it comes to fanfiction and life and reality

i have no issue with real person fanfiction. i tend to not read or write 'idol' aus because it feels a little too real for my comfort zone, but i will say that the people who dislike it are loud. they're hard to ignore and avoid. you aren't delusional or obsessive for enjoying fanfiction. it's called fan FICTION, meaning it's not real and it should not be meant to be real. it should be fine as long as you're able to draw the line and say 'this is not real and it will never be'. i think it's okay in some instances to be like 'man i wish i could live in this universe' while still realizing it's not real and you're not trying to force it down anyone's throats. that's the biggest thing in my mind. as long as you are not trying to shove it in these idols' faces or psychoanalyze them and their relationships, it's okay.

if someone doesn't like fanfiction, it's easy to just take a step back and say 'okay i won't talk about it/share it with you'. you can really cater your own experiences, decide what you want to see or don't want to see, but a lot of people complain about 'having' to see it. pretty much every single fanfic writer i've spoken to and encountered says they NEVER want someone to send a fanfic to an idol/the person who is in it, which is good and i think the best course of action when it comes to fanfic.

all in all, fanfic exists, it's out there, and it's FICTION. it's not real, it's not meant to be shoved in other people's faces, it's not meant to be shared with the idols who are characters in it, and most often the idols are 'place-holders' for characters. what i mean by that is they are a common place for a lot of people, something recognizable and enjoyable, but the personalities and way they're written will always differ across the board. you could think of it almost as a canvas, a person you like being a canvas for you to paint your words and stories on. writing fanfiction about kpop does not make you any less or more of a fan, it doesn't mean you don't respect and care about these idols as human beings and people, and the biggest thing to worry about is simply understanding and respecting your boundaries as a fan by not sharing it/shoving it in the idols' face.

1. Which group have you thought about stanning, but never seem to get around to it?

Oneus. They’re so talented and amazing and I really need to start giving them the love they deserve.

2. Do you have any irl friends that like kpop?

All of my friends like kpop :) it’s how we became friends.

3. How old were you when you first got into kpop?

Hmm 7 years ago so 20 ^^

4. What song(s) took you a while to warm up to?

Lotto by exo. I actually hated that song at first because of all the auto tune but now it’s a jam 😂

5. Have you ever disliked a group/idol? If so, why? (You don’t have to say who it is if you’re scared of getting hate).

Dislike? Not really just embarrassed for. Let’s just because of extremely questionable life choices.

6. What annoys you the most about kpop?

How controlled their lives are. From their appearance to who they talk to and when, it’s just sad to me.

7. What do you love the most about kpop?

That it transcends languages and makes so many people all over the world happy in their dark times.

Nope! I also listen to western pop, metal, and rock.

A lot of anime ones (although I wasn’t nearly as invested in these as I am kpop) : Tokyo ghoul, Naruto, attack on titan, yuri on ice. Never really got into music fandoms until I found kpop.

13. Which group did you used to think was overrated but ended up loving?

Hmm... to be fair I really don’t find any groups over rated? They all work extremely hard to make it and they all deserve love and appreciation.

14. Is there a kpop song that annoys you? If so, which one?

Aha I have quite a few that I really don’t like: Gangnam style, catallena by orange caramel, bar by crayon pop, zimzalabim and umpah umpah by red velvet (IM A HUGE FAN OF THEM OTHERWISE DONT COME AT ME PLZ)

15. What aspects of kpop make you cringe/feel secondhand embarrassment?

How crazy the fans can be at times. Stalking idols, mobbing them, and sending people death threats or saying hurtful things to others just because they don’t like your bias group is 🙅🏻‍♀️

16. Which concepts do you love?

It depends on my mood and the group, sometimes I love cute concepts and sometimes they make me cringe. Sometimes I like dark / sexy concepts and other times they make me uncomfortable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In particular though I love Ateez whole pirate concept I must say.

17. Which concepts do you hate?

See above lol.

18. If you could trade places with an idol, who would it be?

Oh hmm that’s a good question! Maybe Taehyung so I can be best friends with Jimin and all the other bts members and play with Yeontan :3

19. What do you look for in a bias?

My bias list is so over the place. I don’t really have a criteria. It’s usually one thing or moment that makes me say “wow ok that person is my bias”. (Although by coincidence most of my biases are from Daegu)

For example: I had a hell of a time deciding who my bias is in got7 until JB said in an interview that if he could only keep one memory of got7 it would be when they first met so he could find them all again. Such a sweet moment.

20. Which kpop company do you hate the most?

That snake YG 🐍 I’m not even going to get into it but they’re horrible. Not to say I don’t like the groups from there, just the company. Starship kind of on my shitlist too after everything with Wonho.

21. What are you opinions on shipping?

I ship members in groups but I do so quietly because I’m sure it makes the members uncomfortable. So I don’t mind it, just don’t throw your ship in other peoples faces and act like it’s real and your ship is superior to others.

22. How did you get into kpop?

My neighbor was Korean and played me Big Bang and I immediately loved it. But Then she was like hey there’s this new boy group that debuted you should listen to them too. And that boy group was bts and everything just went up from there 💜

23. Has anyone ever made fun of you or looked at you weird for liking kpop?

Yes 🙃 one person in my family in particular until I blew up on him and now I don’t get off handed comments anymore.

24. What is the cringiest thing you did when you were starting to get into kpop?

I don’t really remember anything cringe I did tbh that was a long ass time ago 😂

25. How long does it take you to learn the names of each member in a group?

I can learn them within a few hours if I focus on it.

26. Are you a gg, bg, or middle/coed stan?

I love them all. BTS, mamamoo, kard, theyre all amazing.

27. If you could hang out with one idol, who would you hang out with?

Jimin. Just because he’s helped me the most of any idol to overcome my body image issues and really start to learn how to love myself. I want to thank him for that.

This adorable bean right here. Choi San 😊 I adore his dimples so much 🥺

Play any instruments: i played piano for like 6 years but i was not at all good at it. tryna learn the uke and guitar but i like having my nails long and it doesn’t work out lol

Languages: technically my first language was viet but then school and stuff so english. now i can understand viet but i dont speak it well (dont tell my resume tho) and like 3 years of spanish in high school but i basically only know my numbers and basic phrases at this point.

Random fact: i was originally left handed but my mom forced me to write with my right hand which im p sure changed the amount of activity in each hemisphere of my brain than say it naturally would have been. so im convinced this is why i cant identify with like being more right or left brained/ logical or emotional/ hard science or liberal arts etc. im always like very stuck in the middle of it not sure which side i lean toward more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thx mom
