{ ooc. The writing for xy's main plot might not be the best but we can all agree that the Looker sidequests?? Beautiful. Phenomenal. Why do the post-game sidequests have a better written story than the actual plot of the games

Although I'm not complaining at all, since a fair bit of lore is revealed for looker and the protag. Like yeah the protag being 17-18 and Emma being 16... but also the lines implying that Looker (who has sustained amnesia from ORAS) recognises the protag and feels a very close connection to them and that he might be their dad. And that the protag can't be from an English-speaking region or Kanto/Johto, since they and Looker don't understand the dialect of Japanese in the sidequest or English in any other version of the game and need Mimi to translate it...

But the game also specifies that the protag and Grace moved to kalos from another region... so the protag isn't from Kalos either...

Which means the xy protag either comes from Hoenn (unlikely given ORAS' plot) or Sinnoh. The other regions werent out yet but i Don't think they're from Alola either because they don't recognise the region that the Alola teaser item is from. Grace is likely Kalosian though or has spent time there given Rhyhorn racing's popularity... but that ended before the protag was born because she's been retired long enough to have a documentary about her career made (which plays in the protag's home) and the protag has no memory of Grace's races, implied in one dialgoue string of hers... }

(This is a post-midnight take and I should be in bed, but I am a firm believer that Galactic’s “unique” uniforms actually worked to their advantage when it came to (nearly) achieving their goals.

After all, who would suspect the silly spacesuit weirdos of kidnapping Pokemon? Blowing up a lake? Attempting to rewrite time and space?

Even as the events of DPPt are unfolding, Galactics can be found mingling with other Sinnohans, actively recruiting people onto the squad, or conducting business as usual. After all, once you put on the uniform, you might look silly, but at least you’re a part of a unified team working towards something great. 

I mean, Galactic--your favorite regional energy company with the funny outfits and weird employees--would never engage in any seriously messed up evil stuff right?

we weren't really allowed to have phones when i was in plasma, unless you were REALLY high up. (or REALLY sneaky...) i had a pager- yes, they still make those- since i was a sort of platoon leader, but needless to say once i left, phones were a LOT different from before i joined.

needless to say while im a fast learner, it was a learning curve, and i particularly struggled with taking photos. phones are so big now, i just can't keep my hand steady! i honestly just gave up for a while, but i started again, and i think im finally getting the hang of it. heres one i got of mini and i in floaroma town in sinnoh a week or two ago. sinnoh is such a goregous region, i think it's my favorite place to work in!

Oh, I've got a few!

There are a few landmarks I think you should visit aside from the Battle Zone.

The Hotel Grand Lake is amazingly gorgeous, as far as I'm concerned, there are bungalows and cottages available to rent. They aren't exactly cheap, but they're kept clean if you can't afford to stay at the hotel. Their restaurant has decent food, but it's best if you pack or cook your own meals there.

Eterna Forest is relatively peaceful, so it's hard to have a bad experienced there. Everyone's friendly around those parts, including the Pokemon, and it's a relaxation spot for sleeping.

We also have the Underground, which is extremely popular for anyone who wants to profit off their discoveries or find a fossil. A lot of archaeology and paleontology students hang out there and last time I checked, they have an entire community for mining.

If you can, too, visit the Celestic Town Historical Center! That's where a lot of the good stuff's at, for people who love history and folklore.

Finally, Floaroma Town is filled with flowers. Their town is built next to a beautiful meadow and there's a lot of Combee around...

Don't go to Turnback Cave. Trust me, you'll get lost if you're going without any back-up plans.

I think that's about it, I guess? Aside from poffins, you can make those yourself or buy them somewhere. Wolf likes eating those.

I need some legal advice. So, about once a month, I take my Pokemon to Ponny’s (for those out of the know, it’s basically a brothel where you drop off your Pokemon and they get to have pleasure sex with other customers or trained ditto. They’re administered birth control and screened for health before anything happens, I usually drop them off, have lunch, and pick them up a few hours later). So, about a week ago, I get a bill for 250k pokedollars charging me for causing a Chikorita outbreak in Floaroma Town. Chiki literally only ever has sex at Ponny’s. I go there and demand to know what the fuck? I learn that Chiki did produce an egg while there several months ago (birth control isn’t full-proof, I’m not happy that I was uninformed about this). But their policy is to send these eggs to various shelters. We go through the records and Chiki’s egg was allegedly sent to a shelter in Lentamas Unova. So, I call the shelter and the person managing it claims to have never received a Chikorita. They also explained that even if they did receive one, they would have looked to transfer it to a shelter in Jhoto because Chikorita isn’t native to Unova. And they certainly would not have accepted a Chikorita deposit from Sinnoh. So, from there, I take Skarl and Crow with me to Floaroma to see what’s up with this Chikorita infestation (dealing with invasive species is really outside of my wheelhouse), but yeah, Meganium and Bayleef literally everywhere. And most of them know Ancient Power for some reason, so they’ve been fucking up the local Combee population, which keep mistaking them for flowers and getting blasted. I’ve been trying to see what I can do to help the local rangers, but I really cannot afford the fine, and nothing has been done to track down whoever was actually responsible for starting the outbreak.

I. I don't. I don't know where to start. i mean. what. like. what.

Can I beat the elite four with my team? also just so you know you can get mew in brilliant diamond and shining pearl at floaroma town if you have pokemon let's go Pikachu or Eevee save data.

As for your team? Im not too sure tbh, I tend to steam roll the Elote four with OP pokemon.

Pokemon Diamond & Pearl remakes... here we go

I swear to god I think I had big ass expectation for the d&p remakes as a teen when I read youtube comments about how people are so excited to see a d&p remake. Here we are... its here? and im like wtf..... If I see game developers make like full size characters with pokemon wondering in the wild area for Pokemon Sword & Shield... Why they cant do the for the remakes of d&p. ITS JUST CHIBI verisions of the characters are u WHAT. I kinda want to see the sinnoh region landscape as diverse as it is to be as big as it was in pokemon sword & shield. Like seeing the heights of Mt. Cornet. Or seeing the flowers of  Floaroma town in detail like how I saw in pokemon eevee. Like im sick of the overhead view of the characters and buildings. This game being remade was like the THING I wanted so bad and now I feel like it was rushly made. I am still going to buy it like a dumbass cause I wanna relive the hanging shred of nostaglia I have for this generation. 

Please tell me I can mega evolve Garchomp or lucario. Please please please I wanna mega evolve them so bad.... I know I havent gotten the game yet and its not released yet. I am hanging onto the last shred I have for these games cause I just want to relive them one more time. I sound like a stereotypical hypercritical idiot but why CHIBI versions WHY.
