Kaeya immediately blames himself. As far as he's concerned if it weren't for him you would be perfectly fine. Diluc immediately realises what he's done, staring at the two of you in shock. He tries to step forward to help but Kaeya's bundling you up and holding you tightly, screaming at Diluc to either get help or leave the two of you alone.

He hates the fact that even in this moment he still thinks to ask Diluc for help but his mind is so fried he can't think of anything else. Before Diluc can return he manages to bring you to the Church, just explaining that there was a freak accident and you got caught up.

He stays by your side day and night, regardless of whether or not you're awake. He can barely focus on anything but you, wanting to make sure that you're okay. He's almost glad that you aren't awake yet, able to deliberate whether or not he should stay with you. He can't stop thinking about the way you looked after Diluc attacked you.

When you wake up things are tense. You don't know what it is about him but it doesn't matter how much you insist that you're okay or how much the Church tells him you're on the road to recovery but there's something in his eye that breaks you. You know the argument you stumbled upon was much more than he was letting on.

When Kaeya tries to break up with you is when you realise something is really wrong. It comes out of nowhere for you and Kaeya's poker face somehow manages to stay strong even when you start tearing up. You're arguing with him, trying to understand where he's coming from but he remains seemingly firm on his decision.

There's nothing you can say or do to change his mind and that's only confirmed when all of his things are gone from your place. He acts like he doesn't see you if the two of you run into each other in the city and you don't try to reach out because of how hurt you are. You can't look at him the same anymore and you wish he would just explain to you what's wrong.

There's a chance of the two of you manage to reconnect years later. Kaeya wouldn't reach out so you'd have to do it if you really wanted to give it another chance - he's too afraid of hurting you but drunken rambles and Diluc's passive suggestions confirm that Kaeya thinks about you every day.

It would take a lot of work to go through things to build a relationship with him again. He has to be more willing to build more trust with you and become more honest over time. He's terrified of hurting you again so he'll be very hesitant at first if you broach the subject but the fact that he can't outwardly reject you gives you hope that he really does want to be with you again.

I've been a true believer in the fact that he'd be taken aback at first only to begin a competition between you two as to who can say the cheesiest stuff or get flustered. Sometimes it gets to a point you guys literally call each other the corniest shit, "Honey bun" "Pookie bear" just in hopes of getting the other to throw in the towel, but it never works.

Kaeya's face would be a beauty to look at. It always is, but right now you wish you had a Kamera so you could keep this expression of his saved with you forever. Eye wide, as his icy glacial orb hold your figure in their reflection. His mouth agape, you can see how his mind is attempting to scramble for words, something to say- anything. There's a mix of an orange and red hue coating his cheeks, but the tips of his ears are on flames and you're glad that he ties his hair back because you get to see just how he looks. For the first time, Kaeya breaks eye contact, averting his gaze anywhere else as he coughs into his hand before turning it into a nervous chuckle. He attempts to use his hand as a cover for his face as he swallows thickly, attempting to collect himself. As if you'd allow that.

Grabbing the wrist of the hand that hides his flawless expression from you, you peer over to him and he stares at you, focused, his mouth pursed into a thin line as though he was upset with you despite not putting up a fight when you stepped closer. You gleam as you notice the small details of his face, his lashes fluttering softly, his eye lids narrowing onto you, the hair that frames his face failing to hide his emotions. You chuckle, "What a pretty muse you are.".

That seems to snap him out of it. He turns back into a coughing fit, before facing you again, that seductively menacing grin on his face again, but something is amiss; his eye tells a different tale, one that contradicts his confident stance. "Oh? I'm your muse, am I? If that's the case then how about we take this elsewhere and I'll offer you some inspiration."

I want genshin fans to get their own opinions on characters and not just by whatever is fanon. it would actually do you some good outside of online spaces too.

two examples: kaeya and baizhu.

we don't know that much about baizhu but him having his own personal pursuits with qiqi (this is not a theory, this is in qiqis voiclines about him) does not equal him not giving a shit about her. yes, it's implied that his care for her is limited to his own pursuits and his sincerity is questionable with him not being able to cancel her orders due to lack of it. does not equate to him being and absolutely nasty evil mean child hating villan TIK TOK 🤨🤨🤨🤨 besides yall shooting for a child that literally doesn't give a fuck about his intentions and 'treasures his concerns' since he took her in. like hate him all you want but at least get the info right lmao.

oh and kaeya is a troubling one with the way fanon kaeya is. yes kaeya is eccentric and charming but again, that does not equal some raging whore who sleeps with everyone and their mama. its cool if that your headcanon or anything im not here to judge but please know that may not be his actual character, like, would a manwhore be loved by the elderly of mondstat? kaeya is both loved and judged by others for his questionable techniques and haste, but he's also shy as fuck, e.g in jeans story quest when he planned her whole party but made the traveller take the praise and besides most of that charming side is a façade that slips up when he's drunk as rosaria points out I believe(?)

there a lot of characters that happen to be mischaraterised e.g childe, xiao, baal but I don't really know them that well enough to touch upon.

oh and for fans of mischaraterised characters, don't discarded you fav characters bad flaws (looking at u ei stans), that's literally what makes a part of their character. like I love me some baizhu, but he's pretty damn sus.

and there's a whole deep-rooted racism with kaeya as brown/black male characters are often sexualised in games and media in general (my poor love adonis). but that will be for someone who knows a lot more about sociology. or for when I know more about it.

what I'm saying is judge the character by what YOU think. notice how I said YOU? which means don't let other people's opinions influence your own, read the info presented and infer by your self.

k that's it, genshin stans you can have your headcanons but like I said, it does not mean it's he actual character. also suggest to tone down on the over exaggeration okay? <3

but if you don't, idk, idc, it's your life, don't let user creepyk0k0 tell you what you wanna do. but having your own judgement would do you some good. also be aware of your attitudes towards specific characters because sometime you may treat certain characters in such a way that is stereotyped to their attributes.
