Bertrand Arnaud forced his way into Loras' life after he won the triple gold during his first Olympic games in 2016, Loras was 16 at the time. It seemed harmless enough at first. Bertrand turned up at sporting and non-sporting events, always left shining comments on social media posts, and was downright atrocious to trolls etc, which Loras thought was pretty cool, so did not suspect there would ever be ill intent. I wouldn't say he was naive---but maybe a bit. To Loras, Bertrand just appeared as an adoring fan. He didn't even question when Bertrand would suddenly appear in places where Loras happened to be that had nothing to do with his budding athletic career, and everything to do with his private life.

One day, when Loras was out helping his step-grandma, Celine, with errands, Bertrand approached him while she was paying for some groceries. Celine interrupted a seemingly innocent conversation and didn't think twice about asking why a middle-aged man was having a conversation with her then 17-year-old grandson. Cool kid Loras was kind of embarrassed and tried to explain that Bertrand was just a fan, but that did not deter Celine from shooing Bertrand away, and then heavily questioning Loras about him. Shocked by the nonchalant admission of how often this man placed himself in Loras' path, Celine immediately took him home, telling Leyton everything, who was also shocked and lowkey blamed himself for sheltering Loras for so long that the kid couldn't recognise a potential threat like that.

After Loras' grandparents explained that what Bertrand was doing wasn't normal, not even for a fan. Loras wised up and ceased all contact with Betrand; blocking him on all social media platforms, and ignoring him at events. Unfortunately, it was harder to ignore him out in the world, and the guy always seemed to know where he was, which quickly became alarming, and Loras found himself being accompanied almost everywhere by family for the next 2 years of his life. This put so much strain on friendships and potential teen years boyfriends, and Loras became very isolated from people who weren't his immediate family.

Of course, Bertrand was reported to the police. But at first, the complaints went unheeded, despite Bertrand's tactics escalating to phone calls from private numbers (they would later find out that Bertrand worked for a phone company, and was an accomplished hacker outside of that), waiting outside the Hightowers home in central Paris. He seemed to be there at every waking moment, and he didn't attempt to interact with Loras if he was accompanied, which was more often than not. It was like he just wanted to be there as a part of Loras' life, like a statue, always watching. And when Betrand did manage to approach Loras alone, there wasn't necessarily any sexual connotation. Yes, Bertrand did acknowledge how attractive Loras was. But he seemed more obsessed with the idea of Loras than gaining anything perverse from him. Still, he had no problem telling Loras that the guys he was seeing at the time were no good for him, that he could do better, and that no one would ever be good enough or understand him as Bertrand did. Which forced Loras to consider how much Bertrand really did know about him.

Once the fam got the police to take things more seriously via multiple evidences of Bertrand outside of the home and at places where Loras was, another shitstorm erupted. The police weren't very helpful basically and even went as far as to accuse the situation of being a lover's tiff and that Loras had obviously led Bertrand on in some way. If anything before that wasn't the tipping point, then that was it for Loras, who got into a very heated argument with an officer that almost led to his arrest. It was Marg's idea to appeal to the press and by proxy, the French public, who adored Loras for his continued sporting triumphs. If the entire country were suddenly against the policing institution for not protecting one of its beloved citizens, then they'd be forced to take the situation seriously. While Loras was dubious about exposing his private life to the world, the inaction by the police forced his hand, because they were more likely to arrest him for attacking Bertrand than them do anything to stop Bertrand from stalking him.

The plan worked, and a more sympathetic officer was assigned to the case and took the matter seriously. Bertrand's home was raided, where thousands of images and articles of Loras were found, as well as garbled texts that compared Loras to an angel, some implying that he was an actual angel sent from God. But there were other texts that further implied Bertrand wanted to harm Loras because Loras refused to have contact with him, and he didn't like that rejection because why would an angel reject a dutiful follower? Lastly, personal objects were found in Bertrand's home, objects that could only have been obtained by being in the Hightower house, which added another layer of horror to the situation. At some point, Bertrand had been in Loras' home and bedroom. Loras thought the items had only been misplaced due to all the stress he was under.

Bertrand was arrested and charged after a short trial. Loras was given a lifetime stalking protection order to hopefully keep Bertrand away, and Bertrand was sentenced to 4 years in prison, which tbh would have been less if not for a bit of Hightower influence and meddling.

As you can imagine, this has messed Loras up a fair bit. Although he lives alone now, there is a lot of security around his home, he does suffer bouts of paranoia and has general trust issues, sometimes takes meds and sees a therapist. But he does not discuss that part of his life with the press anymore, no matter how much people press for the gritty details, and if they do he can be provoked to anger. It is worth noting that the case would have probably been covered by international news also, given Loras' celebrity status, so it's perfectly okay for other muses to be aware of it.

This headcanon is meant to be a parallel of Loras' actual canon. You start with him being his of knight of summer self, where the whole world is at his feet, nothing can harm him, and he's living in his own bubble. Then Bertrand replaces Renly's death, which I am not interested in writing in a modern verse, and forces Loras' bubble to burst, and he has to grow super quickly in order to adapt to this version of Kings Landing, which has him on edge and paranoid about the dangers lurking in every corner, much like his canon self. I did want to give him some kind of terrible thing to deal with in modern, but not as terrible as losing someone he loves. It's not interesting to write that again to me in another setting. New horrors that parallel are the interest to me.

Shizuoka Division’s Silent Tragedy is an all-female rap group consisting of Scientist and Division Leader Kanon Hojo, along with fellow members Wealthy Socialite Reika Aichi, and Yakuza Boss Sakura Kito.

The group's color is pitch black. It was the only color they could agree on. Though they claim it's to represent their more malicious natures. 

The group's symbol is a dagger. It is a warning to the other divisions to be careful around them unless they want to be stabbed in the back.

The group has some form of a dagger on them. Kanon has it as a necklace around her neck, Reika wears it as a bracelet around her wrist, and Sakura has it as a pin on her jacket.

Their hand sign from Rhyme Anima is the thumb upside down.

Although they seem to have nothing in common they consider each other close friends and are determined to complete their goals no matter what the cost.

I always find it strange that when it comes to past period rp and gays / lesbians not being able to marry their partner, people in the rpc seem to think they were just okay with that. which is absolute madness. history is extremely queer, governments just don't want you to know that. queer people have always been here.

i will never write a version of loras who was okay with renly marrying margaery. it's not some cutesy powerthruple trope. it's a fucking creepy mess even if it was only political. renly sleeping with his sister? them having kids? loras forever appearing the third wheel in their relationship? loras doesn't do second place and I truly believe their relationship would have crumbled entirely at some point. loras will never blame margaery for the match because she unfortunately has no say in said matter. but renly will suffer his wrath for it, and their relationship will be broken after renly chooses a throne over them. you can't even say "renly would have to marry eventually," cus that's bs. robert was dead. stannis didn't give a shit. no elder family member to push him into it. renly didn't have to marry anyone. renly did what he did as a power move and as a result lost loras' trust completely. renly dies thinking loras no longer loved him, which wasn't true, but he was extremely angry.

i see his feelings about the matter often get invalidated (let's not even start on poor margs) for the sake of "it was the norm." and yeah, it sadly was. but that doesn't mean he didn't have feelings about it, nor rl queer people who were forced into the same position. it's obvious his feelings around it were negative given his reaction to sansa expressing grief for "margaery's loss." it was loras' loss and the only person we ever see acknowledge it is jaime.

CANON: While there is a practice of wrestling throughout Westeros, The Reach has a particular culture surrounding the sport. In keeping with my canon about The Reach being a land where entertainment is top tier and how paramount having an excellent time is to Reach culture, wrestling is a highly sought after form of entertainment throughout The Reach.

Wrestling is an age old contest of strength between men in The Reach. There have been some female competitors, but they are few and far between over the centuries. There are official competitions and unofficial competitions. The official ones are open to the public via a paid ticket if you want to sit, and it is often free if you're willing to stand. There's not really such a thing as actual professional wrestlers. Participants are selected more or less by pulling elected names out of a hat and pairing them up. You also don't need to be of a certain social standing to participate, but the competition does often have an imbalance of lords and knights from wealthy families over common folk. Common men that can well best men from the upper society are sometimes highly rewarded if lucky, some have even been known to be made knights of houses.

Unofficial competitions work somewhat differently depending on the organiser. These competitions tend to be held at family feasts, outside or inside taverns. They can be held anywhere just for the sake of it as a pasttime, a hobby, for fun. children can sometimes be spotted doing it too.

Competitions aren't always held as a way to test a man's strength either, at least not entirely. Matches have been used to dispute matters between family members or grudges between this man and that one. But these types of matches sometimes tend to end in fatality, so it's VERY rare to see grudge matches at an official arena unless it's between two men of exceptional power in society. These types of matches are also heavily dramatised. Whatever the original grudge between the men is, it is almost always exaggerated via word of mouth, turning it into a dramatic story that doesn't necessarily fit the original one. The most pettiest of grudges can end up being blown widely out of proportion for the sake of entertainment.

It's similar to the sort of wrestling recorded in Ancient Greece. You need to score 6 points via signals of submission to the referee, usually verbal, from your opponent. Points are also given for bodily throws that temporarily put your opponent out of action, less than two minutes. Holds that last up to a minute can also be counted as a point. Dick kicks are illegal, as is eye gouging and kicking and punching. You must achieve victory through wrestling alone. If there is a tie at the end of the match. It goes to a sudden-death match where you need to earn 1 extra point to be the overall winner.

The prize for official matches is usually a set amount of coin that is pretty sizeable. Unofficial match prizes tend to vary. It could be small, large, and sometimes nothing at all but the win. If bets are placed, a chunk of that tends to go to the winner. As for grudge matches, the prize is usually a precious material item from the loser and a formal apology for doing their opponent wrong, whether they actually did anything wrong or not. Thems the rules.

If you date loras in modern verses and meet his immediate family (the Hightowers, in this case), you'll be meeting like up to 20 people in one go, including spouses, kids, extended family...23 if the sibs came out for it.

MODERN: Having gone back and forth with this for some time, I decided that at some point, Loras will entirely pull back from modelling on the side of his athletics career. But he will also draw back on much of the brand representation that he does, too. He does this with the intent of launching his own sportswear brand that is both high-end range and has an affordable range, too, so that others aren't priced out.

The brand will be called...drumroll...WARRIOR! as a nod to Loras' canon in that he is a warrior and also worships the warrior. And tbh I just think the name suits him and who he is overall. It's much better than the sodding knight of flowers. There are also sooo many taglines that you can use for a brand named Warrior.

The idea behind Warrior is to go big or go home, and it will cater to many areas of the sporting world, from clothing to equipment and perhaps protein bars, shakes and drinks at some point. Loras is very fortunate to know many other athletes outside his triathlete zone who would be willing to wear and use Warrior. He utilises some of those connections for official pr, too, to use on the website and in stores. Will he attempt to rope some loved ones into modelling too? The answer is yes, yes, he will.

While Loras has had fun modelling and representing other brands. He never had complete control over any of that and was almost always met with resistance when he tried to gain some. It was a way of spreading his name around various industries and beefing up his public profile outside of athletic games. But as time goes on, Loras no longer needs to rely on those big names because he becomes a big name in his own right and, therefore, can create his own name and work for himself instead of for others.

The best part is that Mace has never had a hand in anything Loras has ever done. :)

Loras is scarcely seen at Highgarden during my modern verse due to the poor relationship he has with his parents as well as Highgarden being in the Kentish countryside while Loras is based in Paris.

That being said...when the parents go away, the third son comes home to play, aka throw massive parties without anyone knowing aside from Marg. And there's hundreds of acres of land to do it on with no neighbours in sight for miles. It's perfect.

Fortunately, he does have the sense to move extremely valuable items, though. Which is actually quite a lot of items. And no one is allowed in the bedrooms etc unless they're excessively drunk and need to sleep. Other than that, it's really a free for all fuck you to Alerie and Mace.

i think the reason loras is so love / romance coded other than having grown up on tales of romantic chivalry etc is because he tries to recreate the bond he has with his siblings in every important relationship to him. the four tyrell siblings are extremely close-knit, and loras does romanticise that in a strictly platonic way. so, to me, it makes sense when it comes to his romantic relationships. he does the same thing. it becomes his world, the thing that makes him most happy, the reason to always keep fighting and surviving, exactly how he feels about willas, garlan and margaery.

loras hadn't really had a best friend outside of his siblings until he met renly, who, as we know, had a very lonely childhood that lacked pretty much any love. and by this point, having come from that close bond with his siblings, loras recognises the loneliness in renly rather quickly and they fortunately become the best of friends, and renly gets that thing which had been missing in his life for so long. a real friend, a trusted ear. lords be needing that.

yes, loras is at times a violent, rage-filled, absolute bastard. but he loves with every fiber of his being, and he can't even let go of that love when the person he loves is literally gone. he doesn't know how or even want to switch that part of himself off. and people really have his siblings to thank for that lmao. if it was just him, he probably would've been a very different guy. but in a world where people betray one another constantly, family too, loras was fortunate to have three very loyal and loving people in his life who helped shape it.

but saying all that, ALL of Loras' emotions are extreme. he feels hard in all aspects of his emotions. when he's happy it's basically euphoria. when he's sad, the world might as well have ended. and when he's mad...someone will get hurt. he is just an emotionally intense person. there's nothing behind that. it's just who he is.

Personally, I don't believe in the narrative of the true knight. No matter what oaths and stories are used to market the idea that being a knight is a good and excellent thing to aspire to. In the end, once you've prescribed yourself to that life. You are raised to be a killing machine, mostly for the nobility. Knights throughout history are recorded as often being little more than thugs with a title. If you're a knight with a master you do what he tells you, kill who he tells you to, and you don't question it. It's brainwashing in a sense perhaps?? You take these lads and train them to be obedient and adherent to a set of rules until they don't question those either. Send them to war and traumatise them a bit, which makes them even more violent and unpredictable in many cases. We still do it now with the army. Knights were no different.

Loras loves all his siblings equally, that is a fact. But he does not necessarily treat them all the same. Loras can be a little bastard, he's the definition of the annoying older / younger brother. He plays pranks and lovingly "bullies" because it simply amuses him to do so. But his love is never brought into question because people are aware this is, unfortunately, how Loras is.

Except for with Willas.

Loras has never once pranked or "bullied" Willas. Nada. None. Nope. There has never been anything but pure love and adoration between the eldest and youngest brother. Willas has and is Loras' brother, teacher and father figure. Willas is the only reason Loras can read and write so eloquently, and Willas is one of the few reasons Loras keeps going after the events of ACOK through their frequent correspondence. Willas just has a knack with Loras, he knows how to calm him, make him feel better and how best to advise him on whatever problem he has.

When Loras was a boy, he often got into trouble or if he was feeling blue. He always went to Willas, never his mother or father. Willas would always know what to do according to Loras' baby brain, and he was rarely wrong about it. He probably could get away with almost anything, and if not, Willas never let him be severely punished. So, Will has always been a beacon for Loras. Someone who supports him unconditionally no matter his faults, and Loras will always do the same for him. He'd never question Willas' decisions and would always follow him even to death.

Loras knighted by Renly? Mmm, I wouldn't be surprised if it's grrms canon. But it's not my canon. As much as Loras loves Renly, I think he'd want to be knighted by either Garlan or a Hightower i.e. Baelor most likely. Basically, he wanted a cool and well respected warrior and knight to do it. Sry Renly.
