IIn the upcoming 17+ fictional mystery and romance interactive novel inspired by Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and ParaNorman, “Day of Dusk,” the story takes a romance-action approach, blending the thrilling mystery of the classic fantasy tales of witches and supernatural beings and witch hunting. You, as the reader, are immersed in a world where witches and dark magic lively coexist, two twines of the same throne, along with a forbidden mutual connection.

Set in a medieval fantasy world, "Day of Dusk" follows a small group of immature yet skilled traveling young merchants offering their famous service from small towns to bustling villages: witch hunting. As the story unfolds, the group is presented with difficult choices that impact the development of just how far one would go for power and love.

You and your group of companions are initially tasked with investigating a sequence of strange child disappearances within the polluted community of Ruel-Mizu. It is at your discretion how your group will unite and explore the fraught and somber history surrounding the vile and dangerous past associated with unveiling the dirty soil that was framed around the town.

You will not only confront formidable witches but also other abominable supernatural entities, encounter numerous unforeseen allies, and potential romantic partners along the way. Making weighty decisions will shape the character relationships and dynamics, ultimately determining the course of the narrative as you uncover the truth.

Through an exploration of forbidden romance, betrayal of those closest to them, the formation of unexpected alliances, and the undertaking of unfathomable sacrifices, "Day of Dusk" provides readers with an unparalleled and enthralling opportunity to delve into the world according to their own decision-making.

(Silas/Sophia) Amon ( he/him or she/her ) — the needling best friend. Silas/Sophia makes it a point to look after the few people they genuinely care about. After losing their entire family and being the only survivor alongside you in the harrowing witch plundering, they vowed to always be by your side. Their loyalty stems from deep-seated trauma, which is poorly concealed by their tongue-biting, sarcastic demeanor; all they want is the betterment and safety of themselves and their friends. They frequently serve as the group's voice of reason, as evidenced by their headstrong approach to witch hunting. They are quite brave, using intuition to plan routes and create traps in addition to the weapons used to hunt down just about every witch they can find.

Making it their lifelong goal to kill every damn witch out there, but how will they react if you start making some strange new allies who just happen to get in the way of that goal?

Appearance. at 5'10" tall, their athletic build is obvious, with a slender frame from years of heavy lifting peeking through the rolled-up sleeves of their blouse, indicating a life shaped solely by survival instincts. Their jagged and unkempt, tousled, dark, jet-black hair falls just above their collarbone, usually tied up in a half-hearted low ponytail. Their dark brown, almost pitch black, almond eyes are a stark reminder of the weight of the world they carry; so dim and intense, they appear to reflect little light. Their well-defined brows provide a subtle intensity. A well-proportioned nose and lips contribute to a balanced facial structure. A strong jawline and a few visible lightened scars adorn their face, narrating stories of fights chosen incorrectly.

Personality. a paragon of true loyalty and unwavering childhood friendship, they stand out as an invaluable ally to mainly those within the witch-hunting gang. Their genuine amazement in the face of extraordinary circumstances reflects a curiosity that defines their character. Their wisdom guides those within their circle, offering a more grounded and pessimistic perspective that transcends the complexities of life. Sarcasm is second nature to them, evident in their crude mouth, seemingly fearing no confrontation. Creatively tasked and sharp-minded when it comes to crafting, Silas/Sophia seamlessly integrates their ideas and thoughts into physical form, demonstrating an inquisitive spirit about their craftsmanship.

Pavlos Norlenbourne ( he/him ) — the forsaken royal. Pav, while living under the generational wealth of the Norlenbourne family's power, it seems like even with rich blood, nothing could ever amount to the mistreatment he gets due to not being respected as the heir to the cursed throne. The youngest child turned neglected, Pav wishes for nothing but his family's approval, after the drastic passing of not only his own mother but also his older brother: the original heir to the throne. Tensions rise on just how much responsibility Pavlos even has alongside his embittered family title. People don't assume much from Pavlos due to having his mother's beautiful face; unfortunately, many only ever see him as a pretty face and what people adore, they dare to touch.

The very thing Pavlos wants is to avenge his brother's mysterious death, to bring the dark truth to the light, too bad he can’t really do that without revealing his own dark secrets…

Appearance. 6 feet tall, with tousled sun-kissed blonde hair that falls effortlessly over his eyes and down to his shoulders, the shaggy curls are another gene passed down from his mother. His expressive, deep-set hazel eyes are framed not only by his thick-rimmed glasses but also by a pair of dark, subtly shaped eyebrows. His features are defined by his strong jawline and high cheekbones. An idle, sly smile often curves the corners of his pink lips, along with the brown mole just on the right side of his upper lip. His fair complexion is complemented by a sprinkling of freckles across his pink-blushed nose and cheeks.

Personality. though upon first impression, Pav does come off as a bit guarded and even ignorant from the public eye due to just how truly reserved he is. Carrying his last name like a burden, the flaws of being the son of a corrupt ruler aren't exactly a good first impression for making friends. A serial loner with a sour attitude, even with his hard exterior, nothing could hide the boyish charm that sometimes manages to slip through, carried by his iconic charming smile.

Annette Meadowcroft ( she/her ) — the obsessive poet. An amazing storyteller and poet, Annette is rarely seen without her nose tucked into a book. Despite her parents wishes, they would shun her ability to talk just about anyone into a circle when it comes down to supernatural niche knowledge. Thank goodness they have yet to find her knife collection! Through all her brains and wit, nothing can really prove much for her damned title. Being used as a pawn for her father’s business exchanges due to being the only daughter of three spoiled sons, Annette is forced to choose her own path in life. After being a young woman forced into a loveless marriage, she finds herself stuck like one of the maidens in her favorite fairy tales. It seems like social cues aren't the only thing that Annette seems to struggle with; in her mind, she suffers from the mental conflict of doing right by her family or doing what's right for herself.

If only there were a mysterious traveler along the way to help her decide just what she truly wants for herself…

Appearance. standing at 5'4" tall, Annette possesses an ethereal, curvaceous beauty, whether it be generational or due to the fact that she is rarely allowed to leave the gates of her parents estate. Her almond-shaped, light brown expressive eyes are framed by long dark lashes. Her naturally arched eyebrows complement her soft facial features. Her lustrous, ebony, coily hair cascades down neatly to her ribs, framing her face as it falls over her shoulders and bouncing gracefully with each movement. Her skin glows with a rich, natural dark brown that enhances the contrast of her eyes. With her facial structure defined by gentle curves and a gracefully sculpted jawline, Annette's default emotion seems to be her infectious, radiating smile.

Personality. an embodiment of intelligence, Ettie has a razor-sharp wit that will cut anyone who dares to challenge her. While her mind places her in a league of her own, Ettie's heart radiates with childlike warmth and kindness as a result of her sheltered palace environment, creating a unique blend of brilliance and empathy for her spirit. Accustomed to the quiet sophistication of living in the shadows, Ettie navigates new environments with a subtle dance of excitement and swooning over-perception. She understands the power of subtlety, weaving her own story through quiet observation and intellectual prowess, navigating the complex game of societal expectations with a quiet rebellion that makes her a compelling force.
