overview: reader doodles on her hands a lot and spencer has to give into the temptation of coloring it in

a/n: sorry ive havent posted a fic in like a week, ive been in quite a slump but i had this idea well after midnight but i just had to write it so lmk what u guys think of this one :)

doodling on your hands: a once nervous habit that had seeped into your everyday life and now is just a regular habit. nearly everyday you would come to work with clean hands and get home with a mini art gallery on your non dominant one.

Spencer admired this from the moment he noticed it. at first he thought you had a tattoo but when you came back the next day with it completely gone, he was a tad confused, only to catch you doodling on that very same hand a couple hours later on the jet. he thought maybe it was an occasional thing, a habit you'd quit once you got better situated into the team, but after nearly a year you still left work almost everyday with some cutesy sketches drawn on your hand.

Spencer found himself looking forward to your doodles, imagining in his head what you might draw each day, and thinking of all the colors you would add if you had the time. being the great profiler that he is, he noticed a pattern: you subconsciously correlated your doodles with your mood.

after especially hard cases or just bad days you always drew roses.

when you were very happy you drew all sorts of fruits.

anxiousness bore little swampy creatures and lily pads.

tired days filled your hands with random, intricate designs that you didn't even have to try hard to make.

and content was anything else.

he was so impressed and absolutely adored your little coping mechanism. watching you concentrate on making those teeny pieces of art simply for your own pleasure was definitely a sight to see. the way your eyebrows furrowed and tongue poked out a bit was absolutely positively adorable. and soon he had noticed that he was looking forward less to the doodles and more to watching you draw them. and after that he began looking forward to just you.

you were sat on the jet with your back to the corner of the last seat on the plane, creating a pattern of roses on the back of your hand. Spencer plopped down in the seat next to you, growing tired of watching from so far away.

"that bad, huh?" he asked, noticing the type of flower you were gracing your hand with.

"hm?" you looked up, confused.

"you only doodle roses on bad days." he explained, pointing to your hand.

"what? no i don't!" you defended, " i just think roses are neat."

to be fair, you were having a bad day but he could've profiled that without the doodle. he cant be right, can he? there was no way you had a mood system for your doodles! unless there was.

"repetitive strokes are therapeutic, so roses being rough days make sense. the spiral in the middle followed by however many layered petals you want is a perfectly repetitive while still interesting enough to doodle."

"if i didn't know any better i'd say you've been spying on me, Dr. Reid," you teased, enjoying the slight rouge that appeared on his cheeks.

"what! no! i'm- i'm a profiler i notice patterns! i just- spying sounds creepy." he stammered.

"ok. how about admiring." you jabbed, turning a little red yourself.

"fine. but you know coloring helps too." he flipped back to the old topic of conversation.

"unfortunately i only have the standard blue, black and red ink."

"roses are red." he chuckled.

"interesting point," you bent down and reached into your bag, pulling out a red pen and handing it to him, "knock yourself out."

"what?" he looked at you slightly bewildered.

"coloring is therapeutic, you said it yourself. and you and i both know that you need something to relax you after a case like that. we all do." you explained, trying to be as nonchalant as you could knowing his skin would touch yours.

he grabbed the pen and clicked it open, coloring smoothly and slowly inside the lines you had already made in black, careful not to go over them and smudge the ink. you and him both tried your best to ignore the warmth shooting through your bodies from every place your hands touched. his fingertips lightly grazing your knuckles as he worked.you worked your way up your arm, giving you both space to work and by the time you landed, you had a half sleeve garden of surprisingly well colored (and somehow shaded) red roses.

you went home that night and bought a pack of colorful (washable) pens, hoping this little rose garden with him wasn't a one time thing. and even if it was, you would want to add your own pop of color to your doodles.

thankfully it wasn't.

you and Spencer found yourselves drawing and coloring on your hand a lot. he would catch you doing it and pop in over your shoulder just to add a touch of color where he thought it fit. and you began to feel sad washing off what the two of you had created that day, feeling nostalgic for time that has hardly passed.

and sometimes on the jet you would get tired of your own skin, so you would draw little doodles on his hand, often times leaving a little heart at the base of his thumb. these little hearts he avoided washing off for as long as he possibly could because they felt like a part of you was always with him. he started doing the same thing to your hand, a sort of signature the two of you shared.

most days, the doodles on your hands were pretty much fully colored in.

but now Spencer began to worry. what if you get ink poisoning because of his coloring? sure, the risk was statistically low, improbable even; but never zero. so one night after work he went out and bought a little sketchbook and on the front he scrawled,

"y/n's super duper special sketchbook"

upon receiving it, after giving him a hug he never wanted to let go of, you took a sharpie and started editing the title he had given it. so it now read:

"y/n and Spencer's super duper special sketchbook"

the two of you used up a whole page that day, front and back filled with all types of fruits. Spencer smiled to himself, knowing this had made you very happy. you took a second to take a step back and admire him doing the very thing he admired you for. and you understood why; he just looked so precious and you suddenly realized you craved the feeling of his hand touching yours. so you leaned over and drew a little black heart at the base of his thumb. he looked up at you, smiling widely before returning a red heart to the base of your thumb.

and you guys tore through that book, using a page a day and filling it cover to cover in no time. your own personal handmade coloring book. it turned out to be both of your most prized possessions, a pang of sadness filling your chests as you finished the last page.

you felt bad taking it home with you that night, wondering if maybe Spencer wanted to keep it. maybe you should keep it at work so you can both have it. thats the fair thing to do. you looked down, smiling sadly at the little red heart on your hand.

he did want to keep it. but he had a better idea in mind. he looked down, smiling excitedly at the little black heart on his hand.

the next day when you arrived to work all your worries were solved. on your desk laid a new sketch book entitled:

"y/n and Spencer's super duper special sketchbook: volume ii"

you laughed as you read a small lilac post it note that said, "i want to keep this one please" signed with a little red heart in the corner.

Summary: Marvin knew that his little brother had been overdoing it lately again. It didn't help that he was probably having nightmares because of his stress and their unique circumstances. His little brother hasn’t been sleeping again.

Marvin, perched on the top of a bookshelf in the living room while in his cat form, watched Chase exit out of the kitchen with a cup of piping hot tea clutched tightly in his hands at three in the morning. He sat down on the couch and did nothing else but stare at the blank wall nearby with an empty gaze.

The cat studied Chase’s aged features, skin pale from the lack of sunlight, eyes red rimmed from crying and accented by the thick black bags underneath them, a seemingly permanent furrow on his forehead, the unkempt beard he had no energy to groom unless he was going to record a video for the channel, the hair that was growing longer with each passing day since he had no energy to go to the nearby barbers for a trim, and most importantly, the lack of light and emotion in his blue eyes making it look empty and dead. It all added up to aging the man decades beyond his true age which further increased the worry of the other egos as they watch Chase become more and more of a shadow of his old self.

When was the last time they had seen Chase smile and laugh so carefreely and sincerely rather than plastering a fake one on his face every day just to avoid worrying them? Marvin searched his mind for that memory and then remembered that the last time he had seen Chase laugh and smile from the bottom of his heart was when Stacy allowed the kids to visit him and she even mustered up enough strength to look him in the eyes for a few seconds without fear and hatred burning in her eyes.

That… had been a month ago?

‘You’re going to burn yourself out again, Chase…’ Marvin thought, his fluffy ears drooping down dejectedly.

He kept his bright blue cat eyes trained on Chase’s back intently. There was a few minutes of tense silence before Chase signed and placed the untouched cooling cup of tea on the table in front of him and twisted his neck just enough so that his eyes would meet Marvin’s unblinking ones.

“I can feel you nagging.” Chase scowled but there was no heat behind it. “Stop it.”

Marvin blinked and tilted his head to the side before murring and jumping down his throne, landing gracefully on the floor with barely a sound. He approached Chase and entwined his feline body around the man’s legs with small mews before jumping up on Chase’s lap and perching his forelegs against the man’s chest. He rubbed the top of his head under the bottom of Chase’s chin, purring up a storm that relaxed some of the tension from Chase’s body.

Chase gave out another sigh but this time it was tinged with fondness. He reached up to scratch the cat behind his ears just like the way he liked it. The man chuckled when Marvin practically turned into goo in his lap.

Marvin gave him a scolding yowl and then bapped his nose, Chase nearly turning cross-eyed as he stared at the paw that was still tapping his nose. The cat gave another attention catching growl and Chase gave him a wry smile.

“I know, I know…” Chase murmured, sliding the paw away from his face before pressing a kiss on the top of the feline’s marked forehead, quirking up the corners of his lips at the tiny mew his action warranted. “But someone has to hold the fort while you guys are trying to find a way to get rid of the glitch bitch and wake Jack up at the same time.”

Marvin gave him a tiny kitty kiss on the bottom of his chin before jumping off his lap and to the empty side of the couch. The cat started glowing so brightly Chase covered his eyes with his arms. When he removed them after a few seconds, he saw Marvin remove his cat mask and place it on the table beside the cup of tea and looked up to reveal his scarred face and his intense sapphire colored eyes.

“You haven’t been sleeping again.” Marvin narrowed his eyes accusingly especially when Chase avoided his gaze. “Has He been plaguing your dreams again?”

The magician clenched his hands which gave off a subtle green glow in response to his protective anger at the prospect that the glitch was tormenting Chase again. While the demon’s practically obsessive attention over Chase was a blessing since it turned his attentions away from them, allowing the other Septics to search for a solution to his existence, it horrified them seeing the results of the demon’s torment on their brother who always seemed to think that just because he didn’t have any notable powers like the others, he would be the perfect irreplaceable bait.

It didn’t help that the demon became increasingly eager in its attempts to capture him as Chase’s influence over the channel and his popularity with the community increased.

“No! No,” Chase grabbed his hands frantically. He didn’t want the magician to go on a hunting spree for Anti tonight or rather today. While Marvin was strong, he and Anti didn’t know the meaning of self-control and often ends up injuring each other gravely. Good riddance to Anti getting hurt but he didn’t like seeing his older brother in pain. “It’s just the regular stress and depression insomnia and nightmares. Sure he might play as a character in some of them but it’s not really Him.”

Nonetheless, the scowl remained in Marvin’s lips. The magician glared over the shoulder of his little brother, eyes giving off an eerie glow due to his anger before he forced himself to calm down since Chase was looking at him with concern and weariness in his face.

He suddenly pulled Chase into a big hug, burying his nose into Chase’s growing hair. He felt the younger ego clutch at him, slightly shaking as he finally allowed himself to break down. Marvin rocked the two of them as he allowed Chase to shatter in his arms.

The magician ran his fingers through Chase’s long hair, rubbing here and there to release some of the tension in the father’s head before dropping it to the back of his neck in a comforting grip. Chase laid his cheek against Marvin’s shoulder and relaxed.

The two of them spent some reasonable time in companionable silence before Marvin broke it with an idea that had been lurking in his mind.

“Chase… You still can’t sleep right?” Marvin whispered, he didn’t want to disturb the peace that they were in. Chase answered in a positive hum but said nothing else. “Would you mind if you let me hypnotize you into sleeping without any bad dreams?”

The question made the form in his arms go rigid. The concept of letting anyone into their heads was a rather sore subject for any of the Septics. It meant giving away control and the possibility of being manipulated. Anti being able to take anybody’s form and even act rather exactly like them did terrible things to their trust issues until the Septics finally had a few interventions to clear the air between them.

Their bonds with each other has grown tighter over the months since their creation especially when they all had to face the concept of Anti once or twice. Recently, the one hit the worst with these issues was Chase with how he was currently maintaining the battlefield with Anti.

That’s why Marvin didn’t push him. It was just a suggestion. In fact, he even doubted that the other would take it—

“I trust you.” Chase quietly murmured before pushing away from the hug and looking him in the eyes. Those earnest baby blues melting away some of the ice in Marvin’s heart. “I know you won’t hurt me so… Go ahead. Maybe I’ll get some nice rest this time, huh?”

Marvin placed both hands on Chase’s shoulders and gazed deep into his eyes, checking if there’s any doubt or reluctance to do this. But all he saw was the desperation to rest, the deep-seated weariness from life, and the absolute trust in him that warmed Marvin’s heart.

He knew that he wasn’t the most positive like Jackie or innocent like Jamie. His morality was a bit dubious and inches more on the gray-side of morality. To see the complete trust his younger brother held in him when even sometimes he could see the doubt in Jackie or Henrik’s eyes…

“Alright… Time to relax,” Marvin whispered, allowing his words to carry itself into Chase’s ears, his influence slithering into his mind and easing away the tension and unease in his heart.

Chase sighed, melting into his arms. His eyes drooped down and they gazed almost emptily into Marvin’s eyes. Marvin brushed Chase’s cheek and wrapped his arms around the younger ego’s waist.

“You’re safe, Chase.” Marvin murmured, allowing his magic to exert more influence over Chase’s trusting mind and untangling the ‘knots’ that was making it hard for the other to sleep. “We’re all safe. You can rest now.”

At the word rest, Chase’s eyes slipped close and he slumped against Marvin, completely dead to the world. Marvin caught his weight and then carefully maneuvered Chase into his arms in a bridal carry. He stood up and then started walking them up over to Chase’s room so that he can tuck the other in.

He walked upstairs and into the room at the end of the second floor. He hip bumped the door open and sighed in fond exasperation at the slightly messy state of his younger brother’s room.

He could see some papers with doodles and notes on possible future video scripts and the some community interaction ideas such as reddit, memes, and even green screen edits. At the desk, he saw their pictures and Chase’s kids’ hand-drawn pictures being proudly displayed on the wall while his laptop remained in sleeping mode. There was also an open can of Coca-cola near the computer which made Marvin’s lips quirk up in amusement as he remembered the constant jokes of Coke sponsoring the channel that Chase kept on beating to the ground.

Marvin carried Chase into the only bed in the room and used his magic to flip the covers back. He carefully placed the sleeping man on top of the bed and was about to straighten up when he realized that Chase’s hands were tightly clutching the front of his shirt. When he attempted to pry it away, his movements stopped when Chase let out a tiny whimper. The magician looked down at the youtuber with a wry smile.

“Well… I guess I’m sleeping in the bed with you.” Marvin sighed, but his heart fluttered at the show of trust.

He slipped into the bed with Chase and pulled up the covers over their bodies. He pressed his forehead on the crown of Chase’s head and then closed his eyes. He allowed the weariness in his body and Chase’s heartbeat to slowly lull him into a dreamless sleep.

Jack says "ignored YOUR rule". Does that mean it's something Bakugou obligates himself not to have or something non of them can have? I'm actually curious 🤔

It’s actually a rule Bakugou put down for himself for a number of reasons, half related to his own safety and the safety of the person he’s dating, the other half to the fact that Bakugou hates lying, but (again for safety reasons) he can’t just go around telling everyone what he’s doing - he doesn’t want a relationship in which he’d just contantly lie to his partner and ditch them for vigilante work without being able to explain them what’s going on, so he put down the rule as soon as he decided he wanted to do this. Well, he hadn’t been interested in relationships anyway before Kirishima, so it was an easy decision to take at the time - now though...

Ahhhh if only he figured out Kiri and Red are the same person smh that’d make everything so much easier on him

oHO I’m glad you like it cause actually the answer is I spent two years drawing it nearly daily and I finally sorta reached a place when I guess I’m okay with how I draw it lol some time ago I drew a step by step for it? but by now my process is mostly “do whatever and hope for the best”, which incidently is also my process in drawing Kirishima’s hair lmao

YEH it’s one of the reasons why Bakugou still hasn’t figured out Red is Kiri haha thought if you’re asking for the logistics of that, I can’t say I spent too long thinking about it? We can always call it temporary hair dye spry or something like that, but to be fair it’s not like it matters all that much lmao I just needed Baku to be unable to tell it was him easily haha

The thing about that AU is that I love it and I have fun with it, but posting it ended up being the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, so honestly I don’t know when I’m gonna draw it if I’ll draw it, but the possibility is there

Oh that’s an hc I see around a lot! She’s sweet, affectionate and balanced. She knows when to handle time with her partner and time working on whatever independent activities. Though she’s quite a dense person overall and won’t realize if she’s even fallen for someone, she deeply and wholeheartedly trusts them. It takes a while for her to know this.

Also, she’s 99% submissive and slightly masochistic. As well as a rope bunny.

What are your favorite ways for someone to show you love?

Touches, fleeting ones. Tight hugs, any kind of embrace. Show her something unconditional, undivided. She’s been isolated for so long she convinced herself she won’t have someone to love, so she carries on merrily alone, not knowing how deprived she is of human contact. Hmm.

Take her on an adventure. Bring her out of her comfort zone. Show her what the world could be like… you’ll change her.

Not really, she would give nicknames if she could! She already says things like ‘honey’ and ‘dear’, but nothing too mushy unless it becomes super playful and joking.

Nobunaga? “He’s such a complicated warlord… I don’t know if I’ll ever understand him. But he’s shown some really keen interest in me. Is it because I’m a Westerner? Either way, Lord Nobunaga scared me and he still does. But after spending months in the castle and talking to him, he’s not actually as mean as I thought he was. I don’t know why he laughs at me though! I guess the things I do seem really silly to him!”

Hideyoshi? “Oh he’s super nice. He taught me how to make tea when mister Mitsunari and I put way too much leaves in. He tends to scold me for staying up though, but I can’t help my insomnia without my pills! It’s really comforting to know that Lord Hideyoshi is looking out for me though. The things he does reminds me of how Avery takes care of me, so I guess he’s like a big brother? Heehee.”

Masamune? “He was the one who brought me to Azuchi castle, and boy is he wild! His energy shocked me honestly, it’s like he never runs out of it. He’s so cool though! He kinda scared me too, and I’m pretty sure he can stab me once told to, but he’s been really playful. I didn’t know I’d have so much fun in Azuchi thanks to him. And he makes amazing food! Though he should stop bugging me to eat three meals a day…”

Ieyasu? “Aw man, I wish I can talk to him without him speedwalking away or trying to avoid me! He’s reading stuff about medicine, right? I’d like to know what he’s learning. It’s no doubt super different from modern medicine. I try to talk to him sometimes but Lord Ieyasu’s always busy… was it something I said?”

You know that question about invading personal space? Melody leans in to peer over at his books sometimes. She’s a bit too friendly to his liking.

Mitsunari? “I relate to him a lot. He’s really friendly and sometimes I’d spend my free time reading with him. Time goes by so fast though and either Lord Hideyoshi or Lord Ieyasu would step in to tell us we’ve missed dinner…”

Literally. They are so alike. They got along swell.

Mitsuhide? “S-Scary… have you heard of those rumors about him? I mean, in person he’s okay, but he’s just tall and intimidating to me. He did take me out to the marketplace once and show me around, which… well, nevermind. I guess he’s nice. Apparently Lord Hideyoshi told him to stop teasing me, but I don’t recall being teased?”

She’s dense. 

Shingen? “Big man. Very tall, and… I think he was flirting with me. Whatever it was, he’s… really.. erm, polite and all, and I met him along with Yukimura and Sasuke at the forest tea house before I was taken to Azuchi. I don’t know him too well, but with what Lord Nobunaga told me, he must be a strong warlord…”

Kenshin? “I never met the guy. With a title like the ‘God of War’, I don’t think I want to…!” Fear.

Yukimura? “He’s… he’s kind of… what’s the word, gruff, isn’t he? I met him along with Shingen and I guess it’s a good quality to be honest and stuff. I think we got off on the wrong foot.”

She spilled tea on him. You can imagine the rest. Sasuke came in clutch.

Sasuke? “He’s super great. I wish I had more time to talk to him! He kinda saw right through my attempt to hide the fact that I’m from the future and he gave me helpful advice on fitting in and staying under the radar. Eep, sorry I got dragged to the castle, Sasuke! We can talk about astrophysics another time…! Seriously, I’m so grateful to him. Without his advice I’d probably be in big trouble.”

Kennyo? “He went near the tea house once and was feeding the fish in the koi pond. He’s scary, but… he’s nice. I served him tea and some dumplings. I had no idea he hated Lord Nobunaga so much…”

Motonari? “Ugh… infuriating. I didn’t know I could be so angry at someone before I met this guy. The nerve he has, to kidnap me in broad daylight, spit on Azuchi defenses, and then use me as his impromptu surgeon for the high seas! Hmph. … I… I don’t know. The more time I spend with him, I feel like I’m not going anywhere - you know, I try to get along, I really do, but I think he’s keeping me away? Like, he just tends to stay shallow with people. As annoying as he can get… I want to know why. He’s shown how playful he could be, and his crew loves him. He gives me the same vibes as Lord Nobunaga, actually… intimidating, but I want to know more about him.”

Any other friends/notables?

“I have a friend named Avery and he’s awesome! He took care of me ever since I was eleven, he was twenty-one at the time and now he’s thirty. He’s like a dad to me. Oh, and this isn’t too important, but he has metal arms. I made those! Er, the updated ones, actually. Just to make sure they’re functioning like real arms and all. The prototypes were made by my mom and he was severely injured, so the surgery took a while. He and I grew really close after my parents’ divorce. He lives a few blocks down, and he has eight dogs. Don’t ask ME why, you should ask HIM. … I miss him. I hope he’s okay.”

She also has a cat named Charlie. He’s a grey ragdoll. That’s… that’s about it.

Guess who fixed SAI! And just in time for the BEST @inavember day--miximax day!!

It sure has been a while since my last proper post, so I wanted to bring something nice to the table. I sinned by first showing the idea of Tetsukado’s miximax with Tsunami through crappy doodles, so I think I owed you all a proper post about him, final design and all. So, here it is! He’s a tricky one to draw in general terms, but not too bad compared to other people. In fact, his might be one of the less convoluted designs... It’s cool for a change.

Anyway, more about TetsuTsuna’s powers under the cut!

Well, all goes once we’re under the cut, so let’s make use of that! How are you all doing? I’m rather tired, but still okay, all in all, because my internship is going well! For those who didn’t read my latest update, I’m currently working as a scriptwriter for a local videogame company, which is a dream come true~ My boss just congratulated me for a work well done, so I have no complaints there. =u=

Also, all this hype made me want to complete the very first Inazuma game once and for all, and I actually managed to do so! ...Somehow! Ura Zeus are some overpowered bastards with an extremely high level (in the European version, at least--I know it’s different in the Japanese one, although I don’t know exactly how different), but I eventually managed to score five goals against them without receiving any. It only took 20+ victories, haha-- Gosh, levelling up in that game is painful, and facing level 90 enemies with level 50-60 players is not a walk in the park... But all is well that ends well! I hope you guys have been having fun too. So, without further ado, let’s get straight to the point.

Golly, it’s been so long since my last time explaining someone’s powers that I don’t even remember how it works, so please bear with me, ha ha. For the sake of keeping things simple, let’s pick up from where we left off last time.

As you may recall/have just read, I left a couple of cliffhangers in that post, so let’s cover them. I first explained why no one from Inazuma Japan would truly benefit from Tsunami’s aura, but I made sure to specify that Kabeyama and Hijikata would be the worst candidates to mix with him, unlikely as it may seem when you think about how much both of them share with Tsunami. The reason why is probably very clear for those of you who are familiar with the games, but let’s explain it for those who either couldn’t know or simply didn’t make that connection. No shame there. uvu And, in order to do so, we must talk about the first hissatsu Tetsukado would get from miximaxing with Tsunami. It’s a personal favourite of mine.

The first and main hissatsu Tetsukado gains is the excellent Whale Guard! Whale Guard is Tsunami’s game-exclusive signature move, as he has this technique in every game of the original trilogy and in all of his incarnations within those games. It’s a really cool block technique and, objectively, the one that would be the most useful to Tetsukado, since he’s a defender and all.

Now, Whale Guard is awesome, but it’s a combo hissatsu for two people. And not just for any two people. No, sir. To perform this technique, Tsunami must ride a character who has a large body and use him as a boat while the field gets flooded. Among all the players in the team, the only ones Tsunami can rely on to do this are Kabeyama and Hijikata. Therefore, what’s the point of giving Tsunami’s aura to someone who won’t even be able to use Tsunami’s hissatsus, since their role is to be ridden and not to ride someone else? (Man, that sounds WRONG, but bear with me.) Characters with a large body can’t call the whale in the game, and I take it as part of the challenge to keep things accurate to canon not only in terms of story, but in terms of gameplay and mechanics too. So, on top of all the reasons i explained last time, this automatically excludes them both from getting Tsunami’s aura too.

This, however, leads us to the next front I left open: can Tetsukado really bring out Tsunami’s true potential even if he is playing with Earth Eleven and Kabeyama and Hijikata aren’t there? The answer, as I said last time, is obviously yes! Despite not having them around, Tetsukado can always rely on someone else to help him, and that is no other than good ol’ Kusaka! While body shapes in GO aren’t as precise--nor restrictive--as they were in the first trilogy, it’s obvious that Kusaka has a rather large and muscular body, (kinda) similar to Hijikata’s. Kusaka could easily serve TetsuTsuna as a boat/surfing board/whatever while he does his whale-calling thing. And they aren’t too far apart within the field either, so it’s even more viable than Endou using The Phoenix or something crazy like that. ww (But I still love how extra Endou is when he goes all the way to the opposite goal to shoot. You go, baby boy.)

Anyway, that’s about it for unsolved questions, so let’s ask ourselves some new questions now! The most obvious one being, “What’s TetsuTsuna’s second hissatsu?” The answer will probably make people frown, but I couldn’t care less. *+*+*

Let us not forget what Tsunami is known for: being super over-the-top and shooting despite a defender. So, like it or not, Tetsukado needs to get a shot hissatsu or this miximax would be absolute poop. So, Tsunami Boost or The Typhoon? SCREW THEM BOTH--SPARKLE WAVE ALL THE WAY!!

...I’m surprised I can still talk when so many people have just jumped at my neck and ripped it off with their bare teeth, but I’ll use the last minutes of my life to explain why Sparkle Wave is a far better option in this case even though Tsunami Boost or The Typhoon are much more signature-ish than it.

First of all, let’s remember that my adored sister @ishidoshuuji used to call me “Champion of the Unloved.” I just can’t help but fall for those things no one else likes or cares about. I HAVE AFFECTION ISSUES AND THIS HITS ME CLOSE, OKAY. And, obviously, Tsunami Boost and The Typhoon are far, FAAAR more popular than Sparkle Wave. After all, those were used a gazillion times, while Sparkle Wave was only used a single time in a movie that no one seems to have watched. And that’s exactly what I’m going at: Sparkle Wave is still completely unexploited! Tsunami’s other techniques have been used plenty of times and are all worn out by now, but Sparkle Wave is nice, new and shiny. Why should we repeat old formulas when we have new ones to explore? That’s much more interesting. And come on--I thought we were all always starving to see new techniques!

The second reason is that Tetsukado has miximaxed with adult Tsunami. Yes, Tsunami Boost and The Typhoon were Tsunami’s signature moves, but that was when he was a teenager. Tsunami is now an adult and, as an adult, he didn’t use Tsunami Boost or The Typhoon. He used Sparkle Wave. Only and exclusively Sparkle Wave. Like it or not, in terms of anime canons, aka what most people move within, Sparkle Wave is adult Tsunami’s signature move. His only move, in fact. ww So it only makes sense that adult Tsunami would grant Tetsukado the ability to use his new signature move.

And last, but by no means least, is the fact that adult Tsunami used Sparkle Wave over his old hissatsus. The fact that he did this means Tsunami developed a new technique at some point, his strongest one yet, and started using it by default instead of the old ones. Therefore, and obviously, giving Tsunami Boost to Tetsukado would be a completely pointless nerf, since it’s obviously inferior at this point and Tetsukado is miximaxing precisely because he wants more power. As such, it only makes sense to borrow the strongest technique you can possibly get, right? There is a difference between being confident and being stupid, if you know what I mean. ww

Yes, I know most people won’t be convinced, but these are my arguments. And they’re more than good enough for me, thankfully. ww So, moving on!

(Also, Minna Ike Ike! is a close third. I loved the idea of TetsuTsuna getting this, but there isn’t room for everything, and actual hissatsus are always more exciting. Too bad.)

To finish with the whole issue of hissatsus, let’s talk about which of Tetsukado’s own techniques would get boosted thanks to Tsunami. For once, this is pretty easy and straightforward. ...As you know from that stupid pun, it’s obviously Dead Straight. After all, the fact that Tetsukado has a technique like that is part of the reason why he and Tsunami are such a great match! Tsunami is known for his shot techniques, after all.

Also, Dead Straight is a shot hissatsu, but one that can be strategically used from Tetsukado’s position--that is, much like Tsunami’s techniques. Yes, Tsunami Boost and Sparkle Wave are long shots while Dead Straight is a block shot, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s rather unusual for defenders to have shots--and ones that can be used imaginatively, no less! The combination of both will give Tetsukado a ton of resources, and that’s precisely the point of this project to begin with.

To end this rant, it’s interesting to see how Tsunami will change Tetsukado’s natural abilities/stats. We know from the anime that Tsunami is the super excited and swift kind, but he’s also fairly strong. Tetsukado is much more muscular, but his footwork is--obviously--impressive too, although he can’t match Tsunami’s natural speed. They are kind of opposite, really. ...Or are they?

What the anime canon pretends to say is not so supported by NUMBERS, aka my favourite thing ever. A quick look at Tetsukado’s and adult Tsunami’s stats in Galaxy will tell us that, hey--Tsunami happens to be TWICE AS GOOD AS TETSUKADO AT KICKING! Ain’t that fun! In fact, Tsunami is better than Tetsukado in every single sense, save for Block and Stamina. This is especially useful when combined with Dead Straight, which can block opposing shots and even reflect them if the user’s kick stat is strong enough. How convenient, huh! ...Oh, and his technique goes up too? Might be useful to get some advanced hissatsus going, but that’s not very relevant plot-wise, I’m afraid lmao

All in all, TetsuTsuna’s main perk and niche within this team is the fact that he’s bringing back everything Tsunami once was and multiplying it by adding Tetsukado’s own natural abilities to the mix: a terrific stamina, new shots to make better use of Tsunami’s awesome kicking stat and, of course, his fantastic Soul! Fairly straightforward, I know, but very much needed all the same. We all wanted Tsunami back, and no one wanted him back as much as I did. Not to mention that, as I said last time, it has SO much plot potential. Oh, God.
