Empires season 2 theory hours after season 1 ended?? It's more likely then you think

Major season 1 finale spoilers!

I really apologize for not having a "read more" thing going on but i'm on my phone and i cannot for the life of me figure it out

So, what happens to the rulers in season 2? Will any stay? Idk that's why this is a theory. And also just some general thoughts on the endings here and there. This is for fun and based on almost 0 evidence, i can be 100% wrong on all of this lol

I do want to add a small warning that i'm assuming all 12 creators are in season 2. This could very well be wrong and probably is! Especially since some didn't state "empires will return" in their videos. I doubt all of them will stay around, it's normal for people to leave and join smp's.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy comes into season 2 as the same character from season 1. He ran away from his home, it would be interesting to see him maybe try and prove himself since he tried to take a shortcut in being a ruler and paid the price for it.

-Lizzie

I don't know if Lizzie will be on season 2, her ending did feel more like a definite goodbye. I think Lizzie would be a new character, maybe a witch or something like that? Or they'll keep up the seablings dynamic and she lost her memories so Jimmy has to help. Side note: did anyone else watch lizzie's pov first?? Lizzie doesn't mention season 2 in her vid so i fully thought empires was over, period lol.

Whole new character? Honestly it would be cool if Rivendell!Scott was like a seperate character from the Scott in season 1, since it seems his story is the one which is the most "yeah this is the end". Unless we get some necromancy up in here. Additional thing about his end: I cannot see it as sweet- a lot of people call it (and 3rd life) the happy ending but I always end up feeling bad because the ending is c!Scott's imagination at the end of the day, none of it is real. It's bittersweet

-Gem

I think it's clear wizard!Gem is a done deal, no more of that. Her end is literally an epilogue. Gonna be honest, I don't think she'll return. Since she has quite a few series on the side, including hc season 9 (i'm guessing she's in season 9 since season 8 was mostly just the filler season). It would be cool to see her as a new character tho!

Might return as her season 1 self, since her ending was simulair with Jimmy's. Just walking into the sunset. Again, probably wrong.

-Joel

I am expecting Joel to just be a new character entirely but it would also be very funny to see Joel, previous king of Mezelea, now in the wilderness forced to survive. The pure chaos of Mezelea!Joel stsrting from scratch, the man who had a giant ass palace

-Fwip

Honestly idk, I can see Fwip being his season 1 self. And I would probably go with that but with Gem ending wizard!Gem's story, I think that debunks that whole idea. They did leave together.

-Shubble

If anyone is likely to return as their season 1 characters, it's Shrub. It feels like Shrub's quest is finally beginning for her, she finally has a way to find home. I would honestly love for season 2 to be about her making a home in the nether, looking for her kingdom. Her family. Shrub deserves a happy ending

Now I will keep out Sausage, Joey, Pixl and Pearl because I just realised it is really late for me, and I honestly haven't watched their episodes yet. I don't want to force myself to watch their stuff and came back at this hour, so I'll make a follow up post tommorow 👌

okay me rambling about memeM bc i need to my thoughts OUT

• intro illusion

i really like this one it has a kinda creepy vibe which Fucks and the dance is cool especially the chaereh part! my only criticisms are 1. im pretty sure the dance fucked up dosies knees😭 2. only goeun yuki and swan are singing/rapping 😔and i get its a 1 minute long song so its not plausible for all members to get a part but it still makes me sad. And 3. ITS TOO SHORT. gdi but yeah👍good intro

• memem

ngl from the teasers i was pretty hesitant about it but i thought the "mem mem mem" part was really catchy😭and then the second mv teaser spoiled the whole chorus. Then there were articles about it being "experimental with bpm changes" and i went oh no. but GODDAMN it slaps. i watched the mv right after waking up and it felt really intense 😩and it really suits the theme of witches hypnotising you and getting inside your head. i think the bpm changes really aided into the intense feelings of the song, but despite being dark and creepy, it still manages to be somewhat playful in its sound? and its stuck in my head Indeed. i think overall i like zombie more as a tt but memem is still suuuuuper good.

jieun's voice in this song 🥺oh my gosh indeed. i really like it its a nice chill listen (especially if u listen in album order after how intense the previous two tracks are lol) and the outro to the song: everything from the "lalalala" is PURE serotonin!!! especially that second "purple on the top!" so cute 😭i love these girls sm

• freaky pu- i mean pretty psycho

this is probably the best track on the album. the bass, sooo sexy. freaky purky wasnt my favourite but i still liked it somewhat, and now. i mean that chant has become iconic in my head. i really love the lyrics in this song, the use of "pretty" to mean both "very" and "beautiful" with "im pretty psycho" and "im a pretty psycho" wowie. and the "maestro, maestro, im a pretty psycho" part is EVERYTHING. very pleasant to listen to I HOPE IT BLOWS UP🙏music or performance video of pretty psycho please

i really like (what im pretty sure is??) the guitar in this song, its very cozy and nice. joah, 2am, and period are all best friends. i dont have much to say about this track tbh😅but everyones vocals in this song are really nice and MAYBE this song contains my fav yuki rap ever??????

me when the bside has a long fucking title🔥🔥🔥no but fr this is my fav track on this album its currently fighting with cast pearls before swine for my fav purki song. the intro instrumental bit sounds so pleasant??? and i really like that it opens with (what i think) is dosie's vocals bc she has a really sweet voice that suits this song so well🥺i love the chanting part at the end of the chorus i can just see them all performing this live with beaming smiles and its so 😭😭also does yuki sing in this song? i saw a colour coded lyrics video that said it was chaein singing this one part but i fr thought it was yuki, but maybe it was just the effects they added to her voice. anyway yeah this song is everything to me i love it so much

this album is so good holy shit. i think as a whole i like it more than hide & seek but like i said i think i prefer zombie as a tt over memem👍this is a call to action to go listen to memem rn it's very excellent. once again purple kiss do not disappoint

My thoughts on the various instalments in the Carmen Sandiego franchise

(Not sure if anyone else will care but I really love Carmen Sandiego so I want to talk about this 😊)

(Please note that these are just my opinions, it’s okay if you liked/disliked some things I disliked/liked)

The video games

Cons

-Very old so there’s little appeal in playing them now (unless you happen to enjoy 80s/90s computer games. There are a couple newer ones too but from what I can tell they’re not too different from the originals)

-Kind of meh but without them there would be no Carmen Sandiego, so they get bonus points for that

Pros

-In basically all of them Carmen founded and runs VILE, and you’re an ACME detective who tracks down and arrests her underlings before arresting Carmen herself, so that’s neat

-Intelligent, strong Latina character created in 1985 (there were some problematic elements, but still, a legend was born)

-Google earth recently made a couple games that are really similar to the originals but look better and use the newest characters, so that’s neat too

The games as a whole? 5/10

This version of Carmen herself? 6/10

The game shows

Cons

-Pretty standard 90s game shows for children. Nothing wrong with that, just a little too dated to hold much appeal now (again, unless you’re into older media)

-Carmen was barely in it

Pros

-That a capella song really slaps

-It was a bunch of kids pretending to be ACME agents and winning prizes for knowing geography (wholesome)

-The Chief was as delightful as ever

The shows? 6/10

Carmen? 6/10

The 90s animated show (Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?)

Cons

-It’s an American tv show about geography and culture from the 90s. I’m sure you can imagine the casual racism

-The animation wasn’t very good, especially for the fight scenes (I don’t watch much from the 90s though so idk if the animation was good for the time)

-Written before the age of bingeing so minimal overarching plot and fairly repetitive. Also, they would infodump essentially a bunch of geography fun facts a lot, which was kind of boring to watch (this coming from someone who likes geography)

-Player is a random live action kid, implying that the entire show takes place within one of the original video games (an interesting nod to the show’s roots, but it feels a little too it-was-all-just-a-dream for me). The kid playing Player also changes a couple times, to drive that idea home

-Where on earth is the Chief and who the heck is this annoying white guy? (To be fair, there were some white male chiefs in some of the video games that preceded the game shows, but that doesn’t change the fact that this guy was a little annoying)

Pros

-This version of Carmen is EVERYTHING. In this version, she used to be ACME’s best detective, but she found catching criminals too easy so she became a superthief literally just for the challenge 😂👌🙌 (She also created and runs VILE in this version too) (Also, the way she tips her fedora is fantastic. Carmen Sandiego is the only person on earth who can look cool while tipping a fedora)

-Plus, the only good thing about this version of the Chief was that you could tell how hurt he still was by Carmen leaving ACME to become a thief, and how much he wanted her to come back.

-Zack and Ivy are the main characters (they’re ACME detectives) and they’re only able to (just barely) keep up with Carmen because they can literally teleport, have all of ACME’s resources at their disposal, and CARMEN LEAVES THEM CLUES. You know how in the 2019 show Gray said she was “in a league of her own”? Well this show had that on a whole ‘nother level! Seriously, ACME’s best and brightest can only just keep up with her because she HELPS THEM just to make it more challenging for herself!

-Also, she’s not evil (I’d say she’s Chaotic Neutral). It’s kind of like she’s taken it upon herself to mentor Zack and Ivy (she’s older in this series) by teaching them on the job. She literally only steals things to prove that she can, then she lets Zack and Ivy get it back from her (it’s so funny, at the end of every episode they always say something like “Oh no, Carmen got away! But at least we got the stolen artefact back” like honey I’m sorry but Carmen doesn’t care one bit about the stuff, she’s not doing this with the intention of keeping any of it). It’s like they think of Carmen as their nemesis who they have to beat, meanwhile she just thinks of them as ‘Those adorable kids I have to keep from accidentally hurting themselves’

The show? 7/10

Carmen? 100/10

The 2019 Netflix show (Carmen Sandiego)

Cons

-Sometimes they misrepresent places/cultures, but at least you can tell how much they do their research and sincerely try to be sensitive and accurate

-So far there’s only 20 episodes, which is frankly rude

Pros

-I love Carmen so much

-This is the version of the franchise that I saw first so I wouldn’t even know about it if it weren’t for this

-In my opinion, this one is the most entertaining instalment. The story is great, the characters are fun, the animation is fantastic, and the geography fun facts are actually relevant to the broader context of the episode so they’re interesting and you remember them

-Carmen is perfect in every way

-Of their two main options they chose to model their Chief after the infinitely superior one

-It was such a cool idea to do a reboot of the franchise where VILE existed before Carmen was even born, and she’s a Chaotic Good character who doesn’t work for either side and yet both sides still think she’s working for the other

-In fact they gave glow-ups to a lot of the characters from Earth (Player’s was the best, since he’s an actual in-universe character with a personality now)

-COOKIE BOOKER IS VOICED BY THE SAME WOMAN WHO VOICED CARMEN IN EARTH, SO CARMEN GETTING THE COAT AND FEDORA FROM HER IS SYMBOLIC OF THE FRANCHISE BEING PASSED DOWN TO THE NEXT GENERATION OKAY (also, the theme song from Earth plays when they’re in the elevator together)

-Red crackle and carulia are cute af

-I loved Carmen so much that I spent hours of my life on the rest of the franchise just for more of her

The show? 9/10

Carmen? Infinity/10

Really some representations of people here -- or forms or manifestations etc -- represent hell and others represent heaven. I would represent heaven because i dont think its a solution for things to be bad for people, i think it is something to not exist is hell or suffering. I dont think there should even be sharp knives in the true reality n the true way things that should be. The truth is eternal. Right now mankind is trying to escape a lie the devil is enslaving mankind in with this present reality that is having sharp knives and horrible things as things to exist and not be discontinued. People (really occurrences or representations of people because people are not present in their form here) that disagree w how things are here as okay dont do okay here. It is secretly a war on heaven by there being a war on representations of people that would have something other than this way of things here presently which is hell. 20. Marla Luster Someones clothing doesnt really matter so so much. A person makes sense to simply wish others to be comfortable and themselves additionally. Things to be okay for everyone is the real concern. There are bad issues w clothing here n other things people need n wish etc such as people not getting the things they need n wish. This environment is actually uninhabitable for that it is very bad for people for this n other regards. It is not yeilding plentiful enough things or having things people need to be available to them. This issue of habitability is simple: Are the level of availability of resources n the nature of a place n its populace/inhabitants furthering a person to be okay n able to live or not? Here not. There is homelessness n poverty n people doing without things they need to live n things they wish as they try to make things better for themselves and stop things they dont wish. It is a very bad place. It is actually not normal. It is actually hell here because it is not supposed to be anything wrong with things being this way. What is the point in wearing short and tight clothing? Clothing revealing parts and/or pieces of the breast and the butt. How can a woman rightfully complain about how they are treated if they disrespect themselves by the way they dress? Think about this, would you go in the wild with meat all over your body where there are lions and tigers? Would you do that? I don't think so. Would you complain about lions and tigers attacking you if you were to present yourself with meat all of your body? I believe you would think that it is your fault for dressing in that manner. If men are treating you harshly because of the way you present yourself, maybe you should dress and/or act differently. Yes, I believe a woman can get a man by revealing parts of her body. I don't think it is about getting a man but getting a man of quality (moral). If a man doesn't like women who dress proper, maybe that man is someone you shouldn't want to be with. You don't have to disrespect yourself to find a good man. Pray to God and be patient, change your ways. Toss out all clothing that reveals your body in an improper way. Throw away the tight leggings and the tight jeans. Throw away any shirt that exposes your cleavage and shows the size of your breasts. What is wrong with wearing loose clothing?
