New CSM Pumpkins with I-Cord Stems Featuring a large Opal yarn pumpkin worked on the 72 cylinder with 1x1 ribbing (same slot count ribber dial), and acrylic yarn for the 72 and 54 plain knit versions. The I-cord on the large pumpkin used 6 needles and the other two were created using 4 cylinder needles. #csmsocks #csm #halloween #pumpkin #icord #circularsockknittingmachine #sockknittingmachine #antiquesockmachine #knitting #karenramel (at Vancouver, British Columbia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkROqlnvdPS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

That's gonna be a circle skirt with pockets
I started with 150 stitches and went up to 720 just before the moss stitch and then I used an i-cord bind off (last 3 are still on the needle) so you can guess how long that bind off alone took me (multiple hours)
Not quite sure yet how to block it
The front of the pocket slits will get an i-cord too, the back should be fine when I sew the fabric on
Since there's 45% cotton in the yarn it's not that springy-backy so I hope the way I intend to attach the elastic to the waist band is gonna work
The pockets will be attached to the elastic as well. Let's see how that turns out
There's a lot of trial and error in this thing 😅
Sorry for the bad pic, but it's all the light we have in our living room right now

Started the scarf for my cousin and decided to go SUPER basic with it. When I bought this yarn I was for some reason convinced that the tweed speckles were all a light brown. I'm not sure how, it says right on the page I bought it from that the speckles are rainbow, but I apparently never learnt how to read.
Adding to the more colourful yarn than expected. I don't like how this yarn knits up in more textural knits. My original plan was to do 2x2 seed stitch (with some 1x1 seed stitch at each end of the scarf) but I just really didn't like how my swatch came out for it. It's very possible it would've looked better on a larger scale but I didn't feel like wasting time and effort on a large swatch.
So instead I went for the Classic garter stitch scarf, with some updates to make it Better. My biggest problem with garter stitch scarves is that they tend to stretch out significantly, which is fine if you're using a large needle and going for that look but I want a nice dense fabric. So instead of a slip stitch edging I'm doing an applied icord to help the garter keep it's shape. And to match the applied icord I did an icord cast on (i'm not sure if there's a proper name for it, I just did an icord until it was as long as I wanted my scarf wide and then picked up stitches along it), and will eventually be doing an icord bind off (k2, ssk, slip icord stitches back onto left needle).
