made with a stockinette stich and a 2x2 ribbed stich ( in the right pic you can tell the tails were not weaved in )
and added a sparkly fur trim to make it extra cute 💕 (it looks way neater after weaving in the tails + I didn't block it cuz I'm a gangtser 😎 )
Used Egyptian Cotton as my main yarn in the colours Pétrole and Blanc 1, the grey and the light blue were leftovers from another project 🦋
The other project being my first ever knitting project which was also a balaclava, back when I had just learned how to do a pearl stich haha guess we all have to start somewhere 🥵
So so so so proud and excited about how this sweater turned out. Design is so gorgeous (Pattern: Petiteknit’s Moby Sweater) and love how the stitch definition works with this cotton yarn (Rowan!)
In time honored tradition when submitting a knitted item to the state fair I blocked it the week it was due and wove in the ends the morning I had to drop it off. So like, down to the wire. (Sweater has been sitting finished for …. 3 months?😂🤪)
Super happy with it, the body is the Old Town (ravelry link) with a different lace cowl/hem/edging than specified in the pattern. I don’t particularly love the fan lace motif, so I used no. 271 from “500 knitting pattern world of Chie Kose”
Update: Lightning Bolt the Frog now has boots! Which yes I did embroider to match the kid’s boots, because my children got their “always be extra” motto from me lol. Off to make one for the other kiddo now ☺️.
(Frog pattern here! Cardigan and boots were freehanded)
