revivify ( c'mon soldier, it's too early for that ). ― @thcinfernal.

aeris' spirit rips through the space beyond time & planes, the space of gods and the blooming of life, at a blinding speed. it ricochets across boundaries and embeds itself back into her broken body, fusing back to her consciousness with a searing gasp in her poison - impaired throat. golden eyes fly open & her chest fills with fresh breath -- heaves, stutters in frantic staccato as she flings herself onto her side to hack out a loogie of poison.

❝ titania's gaze -- ❞ she wheezes, vision swimming with mini tadpoles while the true one jolts back to life inside her skull, reverberating a new wave of nausea down through her stomach. her arm feels weighed down by a ton of lead as she reaches blindly, trembling fingers scraping for her bow. ❝ was i -- did he really -- ? ❞

bg3 ladies giving the strap (x reader)
18+, minors do NOT interact
cw: afab!reader!receiving said strap-on (i could not figure out how i wanted to write otherwise, i'm sorry)
word count: 700+
author’s note: proofread? don’t be silly! these are just my goofy little thoughts that hit as i was playing the game and thinking about fucking the ladies i just wrote about. @happysparklingshadows got to this idea first, so please go give her the attention she deserves (it’s delicious). <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lae'zel
lae'zel starts rough
(but don’t worry, she’ll get you completely ready and wet first ;))
and then she’ll end off even rougher
i swear it’s like she wants to break you in half
she has to slam into you at such an unforgiving pace
the strength stat does not lie!!
i also think she’s a big fan of watching your face, and pussy, as it takes her strap
moaning and groaning, watching it split you open, as well as your face of pure bliss
that kind of reaction makes her want to pound even harder
she also thinks it’s an excellent workout, and that’s why she won’t do it half-assed
she just wants a big orgasm from the both of you, and she will get it
one thing about lae'zel is that she is devoted!!
there will be marks if you’re into that
sources of each other’s bruises, you know
Tumblr media
minthara
minthara would give you time to adjust, sure, but she can be so impatient
she’ll start rubbing your clit to get things moving (and most likely continue to do so)
once you’re ready to take her even more, that’s when she’d get rougher
her stroke game is something else
rolling her hips into yours, wanting to get as deep as she can each time
she may even put your legs over her shoulders so she can get even deeper
and she will not be going slowly, either
just imagine her grunting as she ruts into you, not even giving either of you a break to catch your breath
i also think she’s a massive fan of seeing your eyes roll
or honestly just the overall being so consumed by the pleasure that your face says it all
she’ll hold your hands above your head as she pounds away, looking for the telltale sign that she’s doing a good job
and while going fast and deep is a favourite, she’ll know what your body needs
oh, and if double-sided dildos are a thing, just know she’d be using that
Tumblr media
shadowheart
shadowheart seems like she’d be so gentle with it
she would want to give you all the time to adjust, no matter the size
her strap would go in slowly with her eyes watching your face intently to ensure she’s doing alright as she gets even deeper
she would definitely be careful about her thrusts, pulling out slowly and then keeping the same pace back in
(she’ll still go deep, though)
(bottoms out every time she enters you)
the feeling of the strap’s base against her own clit drives her insane, though
and she’ll chase that feeling
so, maybe she’ll get a little bit rougher to get off herself, but nothing too strenuous
i think she’s a bit scared of hurting you, even if she knows you could take it harder
at the same time, she doesn’t know if she could take it any harder
i feel like she’d be pretty sensitive, but that’s okay
she makes up for it with the fact that she can scope out your body well, knowing which spot makes you shiver
even when she’s nice and gentle, she’ll constantly be hitting that bullseye
Tumblr media
karlach
karlach is another softie i fear
don’t get me wrong, finally being able to put her hands on you makes her go feral
but she also wants to be as tender as she can be
she appreciates the slow love-making sessions where she can just consume you for as long as she can before it’s time to go back out
slowly bottoming out inside of you and then immediately running her hands along your sides, up to your breasts, and then to your face
she just adds so much intimacy to the moment by wanting to feel, and kiss, all of you
she is all about skin-to-skin contact as she’s thrusting away
i also think she’s a fan of the sounds—particularly her strap exiting and entering your sopping hole
“hear that, soldier?”
she’ll say as she pulls out slowly and then slams it back into you
she’ll repeat the pattern until she’s gotten off herself
(which does not take long)
but do not worry!!
karlach is all about multiple rounds
as many as you can take :)

Hey! I loved your fic a lot, thank u for adding some fluff to his romance <3
You mentioned the requests are possible, what about Gale and Tav spending one of their nights in town? Maybe cafe, tavern or restaurant? Or just a slow walking promenade through the alleys? Or slow dancing somewhere near musicians? Whatever inspires you the most :D
Thanks!
Tumblr media
author's note : Thank you so much for requesting!! I will be finishing up other requests and finishing my rules soon. Feel free to keep requesting for now! I love all your ideas!! this is not proofread and may have many mistakes. It was soooo late when I was writing this. enjoy <3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The party had stopped at a quaint little town for the evening. You had practically begged to rest here. Why be outside in the cold dark night when you all could cozy up a fire and warm up to a little a drink. It would be great!
And you were right. The tiny town was filled with happy families, couples strolling along and a quaint tavern, perfect for your traveling party.
As the sun disappeared behind the horizon and night filled the air the town grew even more bustling.
Now the patrons of the tavern sat outside nursing their drinks and watching the locals dance to the music.
The party had settled on some outdoor seating as well, Karalach and Wyll loading up on ale, laughing boisterously. Astarion hung to the shadows, probably looking for a snack out of one of the clueless town's persons. And you sat with Shadowheart chatting like a couple of gossiping old ladies while Gale sat with you two, listening.
An upbeat song began, drawing your attention to the dancers.
"The aroma of the night is relaxing. It's a nice change of pace isn't it?" Gale asks, turning to you and Shadowheart.
You nod, smiling. You could definitely agree, after the countless battles and hours of exploring the party really needed this off time.
A sudden bump of your table had startled the three of you.
"Op! s-sorry!" A giddy, and possibly drunk, Karlach called as she dragged a nervous Wyll to the dance floor. "I told you Wyll, Blade of Frontiers. You will be bested by me! Karlach! ... uhh The Dancing Demon!"
You and Gale chuckled at their antics while Shadowheart shakes her head, amused.
"How long do you think before Wyll finds competing with Karlach is too hot to handle?" Gale asks jokingly.
You shake your head at that, "Haha, I thought you were a Wizard, not a comedic bard." You quip.
"I can be anything you'd like my dear. Maybe even a proficient dancer?" He look expectantly at you. His delivery is confident but the message in his eyes holds of other, more nervous intension.
You blush slightly at the implication of the statement. Opening your mouth, trying to formulate something to say but nothing comes out.
"I- uh."
"I can't remember the last time I danced." Shadowheart sighs, gazing at the dancers.
You turn to her and fan your heating face. Thankful that she unknowing shifted attention to herself you ask, "Really? Shar doesn't like dancing?" You joke, smiling a little at her.
"I wouldn't say that, its just... I can't remember the last time I danced, because of the...you know" She gestures to her head, "memory spell"
You make a silent 'oh' in realization.
"I'm not too sad about it though, I know I'll get my memories back. And in the mean time," She suddenly stands from her seat, standing in front of you. "I get to make new memories now. Starting with you!" She makes a quick motion for you hands and pulls you up to her.
You let out a surprised yelp as she laughs and she drags you over to dance. You look over your shoulder to Gale, who looks just as surprised but recovers and mouths for you to 'go on it's fine' with a smile. You give a apologetic smile in return.
Shadowheart, still holding your hands, spins the two of you. Dancing in a way that is reminiscent of young school girls. Twirling, spinning, jumping and laughing all the while.
You spot Karlach an Wyll who both shoot you friendly smiles. Wyll's a little more crooked and weary while Karlach gives you two red thumbs up.
Eventually you have traded dance partners as more people join the group. You switch from Shadowheart, to Karlach to Wyll. Even Halsin joins in during a slower song. You danced with strangers too, some old some young. Some flirted with you and some you made a friendly banter. You had noticed Gal tried to slip in a few times only for you or him to snatched up by a different partner. Both of you expressing contrite smiles to one another.
By the time you got back to your table, and Gale the whole town might as well have turned in for the night. The music was slower and the dance floor was lighted by dancing fireflies and the occasional ground lantern.
"Well, it's been a while." He says looking over to you. "You seem very popular."
You sigh falling into the chair, exhasuted. "I'm so sorry!" You exclaim, slumping to your knees and placing one of your hands on his own that sat on his high. "I had meant to answer you question ages ago, but well..." You chuckle, "I just I was preoccupied."
"Oh no my dear, I completely understand. Of course everyone would want to dance with a beautiful individual like yourself."
His voice is smooth, like a stream gliding over flat stones. His face is soft though his tone is flirty.
You gulp and roll your bottom lip between your teeth. You've danced with strangers all night, how could he make just taking to him overwhelming?
"Is something the matter? You seem, stunned." He asks a smug smile spreading across his lips
"Oh! No no. Not at all." You clear your throat. "Sorry I just...." You trail off, unsure of what to say.
"You know," he begins, taking your hand into his. "You never did answer my question. Would you like me to be your dancer?"
You nod breathlessly and he smiles down at you. His eyes filled with an indescribable softness.
He pulls you gentally to the dance floor and a song kicks up as you wrap your arms around his neck and he placed his hands on your waist. His chest presses to yours and the warmth from the contact warms the cool air around you. His shoulder is soft as you place your head upon it. Drinking in the smell of his, now clean, robes. They have a hint of petrichor and vanilla, as well as a slight lingering smell of ale. But that is to be expected near a tavern.
The playing song is cheerful, but romantic as it belows out it's slow rhythmed melody.
Gale's eyes haven't left you once since you'd begun dancing. Taking in the view of your eyes as they sparked from the light of firefies.
It's only when he begins speaking are you snapped out of your trance.
"You know, I've been trying to get to dance with you all night. I was almost convinced I wasn't going to just because I couldn't seem to even catch a small moment with you." He chuckles. "But I'm glad I waited. Dancing with you then would have been a privilege but I would have had lost you as soon as I got you. But this, dancing with you, watching your darling face lit up by the stars? This, this is a dream."
Footnote : Thank you so much for requesting! I hope this is sufficient to what you had in mind, this was really fun to write. Had me kicking my own feet. Sorry it took me so long to get to, midterms have been biting my ass. Love ya! - Witchy

Modern Academic AU I Guess?
Got the idea of professor Raphael stuck in my damned brain all morning, so here's hoping writing thoughts down will banish him back to the hells yeah? Edit: There is now a Part 2 and Part 3 __________________________ Raphael - School of Law, obvs. Teaches courses on contract law and legal ethics. He has a reputation for being the kind of asshole professor that can make or break your academic career, and the fact he's tenured is likely the only reason he hasn't been fired over the countless reports of student blackmail and harassment. Gale - Dep't of Literature. His classes are all niche topics like "Magic, Myth, & The Power Of Metaphor", "From Merlin To Dumbledore: A Historical Look At The Wizard's Role In Storytelling", and "The Ancient Art of Flyting", and they're extremely popular. He loves his job, the students love him, but he's rubbed a lot of his colleagues the wrong way. Astarion - School of Theater & Music. Teaches the 101 level acting course and has a rep for being absolutely brutal, but his methods are undeniably effective. Also teaches stage combat workshops, and is constantly on thin ice with the admin for the way he encourages the gaggle of students that started a fan club for him. Wyll - Health Sciences. He's a practicing physical therapist who was invited to also teach part time, due to having gained a reputation as a leading specialist in working with underserved minorities and victims of trauma. His classes are niche and can be hard to get into due to limited availability. Knows Astarion because they're both in HEMA, and sometimes helps with the combat workshops Karlach - Women's rugby coach and former pro-athlete who had to retire after a chest injury. Is also in HEMA, and was inspired by her buddy Wyll to also pursue Phys. Therapy as a career shift. Shadowheart - Grad student doing her thesis on some obscure theological topic, teaches a generic 101 level religious studies class and is obviously only there because the school requires her to put in the hours. Lae'zel - Also a grad student, transferred from overseas. Studying Sports Management and was assigned as an assistant coach to Karlach, except she's in ASC and is constantly making digs about how their practices are vastly superior to HEMA's foolishness. Halsin - Environmental Science. He's the department chair, and teaches courses on conservationism and land management. All his courses are out in the field though, which means he's never on campus and is nearly impossible to get hold of. He hates being the dep't chair, and he only reason he even accepted the position is because nobody else would. Jaheira - Facilities director, not a teacher. Always somehow knows everything that's happening on campus, has contacts everywhere for anything you could want done, and is the person you least want to piss off. Minsc is her shadow, nobody's even entirely sure if he actually works here but is too afraid of Jaheira to ask. And if you actually made it this far, well.. thanks for reading? I'm so sorry? But also share your thoughts! And lemme know if there's any other characters worth doing a 2nd post for.

Not a request just sharing my slightly angsty tiefling thoughts about rearder/tav not making it in battle and their companions having to drag their body back to Withers.
Imagine the three tieflings' reaction upon seeing one of the companions run past them with their beloved hoisted over their shoulder, lifeless.
The undeniable dread that grips at their hearts.
Rolan specifically being angry, the feeling of sadness and fear being masked with anger at Tav's companions for failing them. He's heated, furious, *scared*.
I'm not too sure about Dammor or Zevlor, but I can see them crying, even if they know about Withers by then, just the sight of Tav cut and bruised being enough to bring them to tears.
Tav, of course, in no time comes back thanks to Wither's help. The tieflings by their side in an instant, clinging to them for dear life. I can see all three pulling Tav away, to their shared shelter where their tails coil around Tav's waist, keeping them close and safe.
The following days Tav is either being followed by worried tieflings, or just kept in their shared shelter. Rolan and Zevlor most likely wanting to keep Tav away from adventure for a few days to properly rest. (No, they don't care if Withers brought them back good as new)
Apologies for such a long text, I've been enjoying reading your headcanons. Thank you for feeding us tiefling fans!
Oh, I love this idea!
I feel like Zevlor would take it the hardest. This man absolutely has PTSD from everything it's been through and seeing you like that absolutely sends him into a spiral. Some of your more empathetic companions (ie Karlach, Gale, or Halsin) would have to stay back and comfort him. He also absolutely doesn't let you out of his sight for days after at the very least.
Dammon holds in his horror at it all fairly well, until he wakes you up one night afterwards thrashing and crying at a nightmare of reliving the day you died. It's only after that he'll actually talk to you about how awful it was for him to see that, even if you're okay now.
If feel like you've got Rolans reaction down pretty well, and I feel like Karlach would stay back with him while you're being brought back so he doesn't hurt himself. She knows what it's like to be burning with rage and how self destructive it can be.
Thank you so much for the message, I love hearing everyone's ideas and thoughts on the bachelors! <3

It's tough because I hate the Astarion haters on Reddit, who are just misogynistic and homophobic and dismissive of the character because they hate how gay he acts and also how many women love him.
but I also hate BookTok Astarion fangirls who feel the need to assert how superior Astarion is on every fucking Gale, Wyll, Halsin, Shadowheart, Minthara, Lae'zel, Karlach or pretty much any BG3 video at all. Like we get it. He's white.
And then I'm ambivalent on the Tumblr Astarion fans because there are the people who simply like him and make fun art and fun meta analysis about him, and then there are the people in my inbox currently telling me that Astarion's Ascended ending is morally correct and it's not a bad ending for the character, and if I disagree, then I hate women.
You're correct that I hate women, but it has nothing to do with Astarion.
Also, I once again point out, that your own husbando literally tells you outright in both endings that being Ascended ruins/ruined who he used to be and also your love for one another.
Your man literally says that your love would have been corrupted by becoming his spawn, and you still cling to the idea that your character is living happily ever after.
He's not making you a vampire queen, he's making you a vampire pet. And it's fine to like that ending. I don't care if you LIKE bad, unhappy endings. That is your prerogative. But you are simply incorrect if you say that it's the "happy" ending for the character, when it clearly is not.
No one ever said you had to use your skull for anything other than cold cut storage, I just don't see why it's even necessary to argue your point to me.
Stay in your Astarion echo chamber, and block me. I don't have time or energy to block all of you.
Anyway.
It sucks because I really like Astarion, he's my favorite love interest.
I really enjoy his storyline and his growth as a person and how sweet he is. He's also very funny. All the companions have great voice acting behind them, but Neil really knocked it out of the park, and I honestly think the character would be far less popular if they'd picked any other actor.
But the fandom around him is just...awful.
It's a mixed bag of normal, unnormal in a fun way, and unnormal in a "you need to fucking step off in this Walmart bitch" way.
It's why I'd rather interact with Dark Urge and Gortash fans.
Much smaller subset of the fandom, so I don't have to deal with the generic crazies, and we're all such freaks that we don't feel the need to go around acting like Gortash is a good person.
I also only ever see people saying these two are fucking disgusting and horrible and I'd murder them in real life and honestly, true and based.
No happy endings for those two, and that's fine for me. In fact, it's great.
See, Astarion girlies, this is called...knowing your ship doesn't deserve a happy ending after all they have done, and knowing it wouldn't be a happy ending if they got together, but being able to acknowledge that and not get bent out of shape trying to justify it.
Stop tying your irl morality to your tastes in fiction.
I never said that liking the ascended ending made you a bad person in real life.
I just said that pretending it's good and happy and great and not continuing the cycle of abuse, is factually incorrect.
And it is.
Every single bad ending for all the love interests is literally continuing the cycle of abuse. Why would Astarion's be any different?
But maybe I'm being bold in assuming you even know the other love interests exist or have stories. Maybe you don't even know the general story of baldur's gate 3, because it is, as you say, the vampire dating sim, and it's definitely not about anything other than banging the sexy vampire.
Media literacy weeps.
Anyway.
Not ruining my enjoyment of the game.
Just my general tolerance for the fandom that is not Durge and Gortash obsessed.

BG3 ending (spoilers)
I finished BG3. And I.. I'm so devastated right now. Not in terms of relief or "oh, such a good game has come to an end, idk what to do next", I just don't understand what happened. I am disappointed. I need to speak out. Otherwise I feel like I can burst into tears because of indignation.
And I beg DON'T READ THE POST FURTHER if you haven't reached the end. There will be plenty spoilers. DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME.
So. Is this really the end? Is this… what we've been so actively waiting for 3 years? Maybe there will be DLCs no less than another full-fledged act? Otherwise, I cannot understand what was the point MC to do all of this?
I.. damn, this is hard. I waited so long for this game, but now I criticize it. Okay, phew. I'll get myself under control. Phew. Sorry.
We were promised different outcomes, different endings, many choices. But what did we actually get? You either save Orpheus (the Emperor becomes an enemy), or help the Emperor (Orpheus dies), or you/your companion turns into an illithid. And like.. who cares if you continued to refuse the powers. It's unavoidable in any case. You cannot form an alliance, you cannot win without a tadpole. You are linear in your final choice.
Your companions?
Wyll leaves to Avernus. Karlach returns to Avernus. Astarion can no longer stay in the sun, he begins to burn and therefore runs away. That moment… it broke my heart. My MC romanced him, couldn't he followed Star? Was it not possible to add some extra scenes? It doesn't matter to anyone. He ran away? Well meh who cares. Only Shadowheart says something like "oh, how sad, he can no longer walk in the sun."
I wanted to help him damn it! Both him and Karlach. And Lae'zel too, but game not allowed me to do so, forcing to choose: either the giths fate, or your ally. Choose.
I wanted my friends to live happily even without tadpoles! Why the hell I was saving the world, if my companions can't be happy? For the sake of a good ending, I should have let Stari to perform the terrible dark ritual? Or turn Karlach into a squid? Minsc and Jaheira are just fanservice for old fans. More or less good end has Gale (still with bomb inside him), Shadowheart and the Emperor himself.
And what about all my decisions? Where are their consequences? What happened to the vampire spawns? With a grove? With the forest? With Hell, where we killed a mighty devil?! With the Ironhand clan, who now have a new leader? Larian Studios, was it really so hard to write at least in text about everything that happened? Like in DOS2 at least? Or about our companions future life. At least about them!
It feels like even if I decided to play as pure evil.. there would be no difference, because I just don't know what my actions led to. But I can't play evil, I just can't hurt anyone. Yes, I'm boring person who loves happy endings and when everyone doing great.
BG3 received its fame, glory, attention. Obviously will receive a bunch of awards, because its ratings beat all records, but inside me.. there is just emptiness. I can headcanon a happy ending with Astarion, truly free Lae'zel, who will be no longer chased by Vlaakith's servants and Karlach with repaired heart. But it will all be in my head. Not in the game. Baldur's Gate 3.. is like a beautiful (really beautiful) wrapper, but the candy inside turned out to be simple and not very different from the others.
I'm sad. Very sad. And I'm sorry for this flow of words. I had to speak out. Now I feel a bit better. I really want to hear your opinion, because now I'm mentally hurt. I obviously triggered the high expectations for this game and get a painful kick for that.

A Hesitant Rest (Zevlor BG3 x GN unspecified Tav)
Tumblr media
Notes/warnings: SFW, fluff, domestic feelings, mentions of other companions, Astarion being himself at the end, not beta read, sleeping together (literally), slight depictions of anxiety, slight nudity (undressing in the company of another person), very light spoilers, possibly fast paced? (Read author's notes below for context), very little dialogue
This was just an excuse to write something in two days to finally put another fic on my blog, as well as hopefully an introduction for fans of Baldur's Gate 3 to send asks.
The fire of the camp was on its last embers, the bright hot orange ashes going into the sky but no crackle left. It made the little clearing have such little lighting, the only main source being an occasional lantern or candle left out near a tent before their inhabitant went to bed. That or Karlach’s internal workings giving a glow through the thin fabric of her tent, but that was always to be expected. Speaking of, I don’t even remember why I’m still up. It's not like anyone will attack us, I’ve noticed very few creatures are even interested in us. But then again, I couldn’t be certain. For all I knew, there could be a bear that wasn’t Halsin or perhaps a crazed Drow or–
You notice the dull red tip of a pointed tail of your tiefling friend, Zevlor, twitch back and forth. His eyes scanned the camp and the outskirts of the trees until falling onto you. You could see the initial shock of realizing you were awake melt into delight. The bowl of food next to him had gone cold a while ago, but so did yours. He motions for you to come closer with a hand, and you oblige without much convincing.
Eventually you find yourself on the ground next to him in silence. Your hand in his, more for his comfort than trying to be cuddly, his tail begins to become more alive. In particular his tail went from nervously flicking in the dirt to being pressed against your side and the tip swishing to pat your thigh.
“Have you been sleeping well?”
“I'm afraid not, dear.”
His voice sounded a little defeated. He had gotten older and the stress of the loss of several Hellriders still was fresh in his mind. In his mind he still felt terrible, no matter how many times you tried to convince him it wasn't his fault for having his mind essentially possessed. To be honest he wanted to sleep next to you, you knew how to handle him the best.
“I have a few extra pillows, would you-..?” He doesn't finish his sentence, hoping you would be able to take his hint. To reiterate his question, he points to his tent with a clawed finger and tilts his head slightly. Once again you oblige to his silent offers. With a slightly pained groan, he gets up from the ground and guides you away towards his tent.
Much like he had said, on the rather rudimentary mattress was a few extra pillows and an old woven blanket for the both of you. From the inside, he turns and closes the fabric flap to the tent and begins to shuck the light armor from his body. The old leather falls unceremoniously to a little corner as he stretches his back with another groan. His tail slowly swishing around behind him as he continues to undress, giving you some privacy as you do as well.
Within a short time, he has stripped down to his old and worn boxers, the hoary fabric ripped slightly along the waistband and one of the side seams had been hastily restitched quite a while ago. His once lean body had gotten softer in some areas from age, of course still having to be well maintained from his previous years of travels. He had a few pink scars littering his figure, but nothing that looked particularly gnarly or uncomfortable to live with.
Eventually he turned back to you, giving a small smile that made his nasolabial lines more visible. He had bathed next to you a few times, so you weren't anything especially new to see in little clothing. He hunkers down on the poorly made mattress and waits patiently for you to follow. “It's been a little while since I was last able to sleep next to someone.” He muttered before looking away.
When he felt the bed sink under your weight, he looked back up. His gaze softened every second you were close. He needed this, something to comfort him tonight. The two of you languidly lay your heads on the pillows, and Zevlor momentarily readjusts himself so he wasn't laying on his horns.
As the two of you lay under the covers, eyes closed and silent, you feel the dull edge of a clawed hand. Did Zevlor want to hold you? It wouldn't be anything particularly out-of-the-ordinary, after all you had been through with this adventure. From under the blanket you guide his hand against your side. He gives a thankful huff in response.
And then, something you hadn't even thought he would do had happened. You had a feeling he wanted some contact, but now he had his arms wrapped around you and cradling your head to his chest. He smelt like the leather of his armor and had the faintest hint of smoke, probably from staying by the fire for so long. The tiefling languidly entertwined the both of your legs together, finally finding the warmth he so desperately craved. And you let him, he deserved something soft for once.
“Thank you, darling.” He purred– not in a lustful or lecherous way, but an actual feline-adjacent pur. You could feel by the blanket that his tail was sleepily wagging, clearly delighted you would let him have this. A pair of lips press to the crown of your head and stay there. You finally speak once again, wanting him to hear your voice before he drifted off to bed. “You're welcome, Zevlor.”
-- -- -- --
As the pale elf came back to the camp from his feeding, he instinctively decided to check the tents of his other companions. Gale, Wyll, Karlach, Lae’zel, Zev– oh. Well, at least he wouldn't need to check your tent tonight. He grined at the awfully sweet sight of the both of you asleep in the other's arms. He had a feeling he would tease one of you later, but he would allow you to rest before so.

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
A remedy for sleeplessness - Smut. My very first smut, which I also think is my worst, written purely for shits and giggles. 🤷‍♀️
A night at the inn - Smut. Halsin threesome trilogy. This one I actually appreciate having a lot of kudos on.
Missionary with the lights off - Smut, also written for shits and giggles.
Intimacy - Not smut! But does have smut elements.
Seeing stars - You guessed it. Smut.
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Oh absolutely. I appreciate every single one of them (and they are so hard to come by!). Also all this, whether tumblr or AO3, is a community - I don't think any of us what to feel like we're just shouting into the void.
(psst, if you are a reader and you think you don't have anything worthwhile to say, or that you're annoying the writer or whatnot - rest assured that is NEVER the case - every single little thing even if it's just a string of emojis is appreciated, and absolutely makes my day)
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I don't really do angst, and especially not angsty endings. I stick to fluff, humour and smut (or a combination of the three). I do add angsty elements sometimes, and so far the ones that touched the most on it are Down by the river and Intimacy - both dealing with Astarion's trauma.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
They all have happy or hopeful endings. The absolute happiest mushiest one is Confession
7. Do you write crossovers?
Nope, at least I haven't yet.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Nah, I haven't done anything controversial enough to warrant anger, I think.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Boy do I! All I've been able to write lately seems to be smut, tbh.
I've done a lot of Astarion x f!Tav, sometimes with a third character thrown in. Nothing too crazy.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I know.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Probably not.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope, I don't know that I would be a great writing partner tbh - sometimes trying to get words out of my brain is like squeezing water out of a rock - I'd hate to let anyone down.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Astarion x my OC has been consuming my mind lately, I suppose I'm going to have to count that.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I don't know whether I should count it as a WIP, but I've been playing with the idea of having my OC and Astarion have threesomes with all the other companions (we're skipping Karlach because I HC that they're besties of the variety you do not have sex with).
I've recently done one with Wyll, as well as Halsin (twice, actually, and I'll do it again!). Maybe it's time to go for a M/F/F, I haven't done that yet... Hmm...
15. What are your writing strengths?
Going by what I personally find the easiest / am most confident with - dialogue. It's also the funnest part of writing for me, and I've had a fair share of compliments specifically for the banter, or for getting the characters' voices right.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions. I can write banter all day, and I'm okay at getting inside a character's head and getting their emotions out, but ask me to describe a sunset (room / dress / whatever) and I'll probably just cry and jump out a window.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I'm not a fan of this as a reader (occasional words or phrases are okay, if there's a footnote with a translation), and I don't add it as a writer. I tend to just generalise with "he swore in elvish" and similar.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Final Fantasy 8. I wrote little comedic tidbits. (well, 12 year old me thought they were funny, anyway) I don't think any of it has survived to this day.
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
I don't have any fandoms on my mind besides BG3, but as I've said in no. 14 above, I want to write something M/F/F.
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Hmm, this changes constantly... Ultimately this will hopefully be my longfic that I'm working on.
I think it's a tie between the pure debauched horniness of A night at the inn and the more mellow Seeing stars which also showcases my OC's relationship with Astarion and all the things I think I do best.

I wanna share my "BG3 Through Fandom Osmosis" experience:
Baldur's Gate 3 has been trending frequently on here since it's release. Besides being a video game, I had zero knowledge of it. It was trending so often I'd periodically check the tag out of curiosity.
However I was never there very long, because the tag was mainly Astarion. I'd skim the few top posts and get the gist of his deal: asshole with a tragic past, vampire, you can actually fix him, ect. I saw the appeal, but it wasn't there for me personally.
I didn't look any further into the game for a while because I didn't care about the only character getting engagement. Karlach had some attention at first, and she had grabbed mine. Unfortunately, content for her subsided and became outnumbered by Astarion stuff. The only other character I saw that piqued my curiosity in the game was quickly shoved to the side in favor of the vamp.
It wasn't until I saw a post of Wyll that I found out there were other companions to play. I went back to the BG3 tag for him, and imagine my surprise when I found out everything this game has to offer. Quests, character creation, multiple choices and endings, more hours of various content than Game Of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. You name it, this game has it. You can even play without the vamp! He's not strictly necessary for game completion! Endless gameplay options, but I had no idea because I saw NO content besides Astarion.
Is it nice to see a white guy that's actually a well developed character? Obviously! I like seeing people talk about him with actual canon instead of stuff people gleamed/made up about him. (At least most of the time.) That said, it's a disservice to anyone unfamiliar/interested in this game to give Astarion sole focus.
What if, and this is blasphemous I know, someone isn't drawn in by him? If there's no content for anything else, the assumption will be he's the best part of the gaming experience. From an outside perspective, you'd think BG3 is nothing more than a ~Special White Guy~ Dating Simulator. If you have no interest in him, why would you ever look further into the game?
If there's no new people playing BG3 and/or participating in fandom, then eventually even Astarion content will run dry. I don't want that for anyone in any part of this fandom! However, you've gotta have fans of different parts of the media itself if you want to keep a fandom alive.
It's also a bit insulting to the anyone who worked on anything non-Astarion related. All the energy that went into this massive game, only for everything outside of a singular character to go mainly ignored? While I've heard the other companions are "less developed", none of them are underdeveloped. They hold different parts of the game in themselves. There's so much to learn and work off with them. You're genuinely missing out on the game by ignoring them!
General Fandom Disclaimer™️: I'm not bashing anyone's love of him. If he's what you're drawn to, he's what you like. It's not your job to make fan content or engage with anything outside of your likes. Fandom is an individual experience, not advertising or a recruiting service. It's just personally frustrating cause there's literally an entire world outside of that vampire, but you wouldn't know that from looking at this fandom.

"Wyll's quest regarding the Wyrmway is now a subquest instead of part of his main quest."
"Wyll's quest regarding Ravengard will now more reliably and frequently receive updates in Act III."
so mechanically speaking then, was the demotion of quest status in the first point required for them to implement the functionality of the second or??? because i genuinely don't understand why it became a subquest, especially when the game's structure already allows you to just ignore quests & move on to the next area if you want. most of the patch notes that directly mention wyll are bug-related or scripting flow, which i don't have a problem with (bug fixes are great, we love those). i'd love to hear any thoughts about this, though, because i really can't think of a reason why it had to become a subquest?
i also initially read that second point as planning for future updates to wyll's content but at a second glance i think it may just be referring to journal updates? i don't know, i'd like to believe my initial reaction was the correct one but... yknow. anyway i maintain that this is yet Another example of some really goddamn weird choices on the developmental end of things. if the companion quests exist on a sliding scale of 'most related to current main storyline to least,' wyll is very much at the top end of things. optimistic thought is that a lot of his scrapped content existed in the parts of act 3 that were cut, but i would think that as a studio you'd see that & make an effort to level things out with how much screentime the other companions have. at the bare minimum, your player base shouldn't be able to clock so many weird holes in his story arc where it's clear that something else was supposed to be offered.
i'm also not saying that the other companion arcs weren't clunky in some areas & didn't need a bit of help, but the disparity here makes deprioritizing those edits seem like a more logical course of action. like there's a difference between some slightly unpolished scenes vs. something that feels fundamentally lacking in a lot of structural ways, especially when you get into the finer points of the comparisons. act 3 imo is the one that feels the most bare-bones to me. like yes, there's Stuff there visually and quests too but it doesn't feel as lived-in as acts 1 & 2. i would say that the underdark to ketheric section feels the most dense, content-wise, and i don't think it's a coincidence that it's the bracket of the game i enjoy the most. i maintain that giving wyll's storyline the attention it needs would not only help with the character arc itself, but also pad out the quieter stretches of act 3. at this point i don't really see how they'd be able to add in the upper city without either completely changing the trajectory of the third act (so like, almost definitely something we Will Not See Happen & understandably so from a production standpoint. weird post-release editing aside, it is still a finished game.) & i'm also not sure what a DLC would look like here because the main story feels pretty complete too. off the top of my head, maybe one where you follow wyll & karlach into avernus would work, but that's worldstate dependent & probably wouldn't get made for that reason.
all that to say, from where i'm standing it really seems like giving wyll the same respect other companions are offered would by extension fix some of the act 3 issues, without having to release an entirely new area of the game (i'd love it i just don't think it's realistic lmao). like i know why/what the factors are that led to wyll getting the short end of the stick, it's bullshit but it's not the first time we've seen black characters handled unfairly by devs (& fans), but beyond that it's literally just. so confusing to me on the basis of writing alone. why wouldn't you use the character with that many ties to the titular city of the game more? why isn't he more integral to the story when it really seems like he has every reason to take the spotlight in certain areas?? like that's a fantastic resource of a character to use to move the narrative along and Yet.
idk. this started off as just a reaction to patch notes but it's so unbelievably frustrating to watch it keep happening every patch.

You're so right about the kisses. It's nice, but like... there's so much more they need to do, and there's such clear favouritism in what characters they focus on :( Instead of new kisses, why not a proper ending to Karlach's story? Why not content for Wyll too, including the option to let him take the lead on his own quest like you can do with everyone else? Or even just adding the small things other companions have that he doesn't, like multiple unique romance greetings? I mean... I know why, but you know what I mean. It's frustrating, but it's also comforting to see someone else agrees.
Like, back when the first patches were dropping, the excuse was that hey, these things are easier to add than a whole new questline. So yeah, that was fair enough. Even I was like bright-eyed and hopeful, going "Oh it's taking so long because they're adding a lot of new stuff I bet! :)"
But now? Six patches in? Months after release? With no improvements in sight, while the others get tweaks and additions and fixes?
C'mon now. It's getting very uncomfortable in here.
I have seen a lot of people speaking up on Twitter at least, particularly in the patch post itself, so I'm hoping they'll address it sooner rather than later? But at this point I'm kinda done hoping and am entering the demanding stage. And while I'm a staunch believer in fans having limited say over creators' works (like people demanding tweaks to Astarion's storyline or making Halsin a romance option just based on thirst), but that's different to like, asking that your ONE Black main character gets the same level of effort and respect as you pour into everyone else, esp your own white faves.
(When like ... Astarion isn't even the top romance option. They're literally catering to a vocal minority.)
And I guess the argument could be made that this is in accordance with their own wishes and that they're just adding shit they want to add and it's all horny bullshit and Astarion content because the studio loves him, but then it's like ... Ok. I see. That is also not. Good.
You made Baldur's Gate 3. Not Astarion kissing simulator. That one was a joke, Larian. For the fans? Not an instruction.

Made myself as a character in BG3 and I am so happy~ I'm super short and thought "well halfling it is~" but I was worried about romancing any of the characters as a smol lady and I was so happily surprised when sweet heart Karlach actually kneels down to give you a smooch! <3 <3
She has my heart but it was hard cause I like Gale a lot because I am a HUGE Anders fan from Dragon Age and he gives me those vibes at times... but my brain tells me he has to many red flags. (you have to admit he is very arrogant at times and willing to blow himself up cause some big lady tells him "that's the only way that I will forgive you". to name a few lol) but he's sweet and loves cats... xD

Also... Astarion is that a crack at my height sir?! lmao

ship names tag game
ty for tagging me @vacantgodling!!! this seems fun :3c
Rules: make a list of ship names from your wip(s) (it's okay if they don't sound cool) for people to send in asks so you can talk about them! Fan ships count too if you're writing about them.
okay first, tagging: @skitzo-kero @jezifster @albatris @anexor @kk7-rbs with no pressure to any of y'all <3 and anyone else who'd like to do this! just remember to tag me. or else. (no pressure <3)
so i'm heavily fixated on bg3 if that isn't extremely obvious lmao, SO i might just share some of the key relationships involving my tav eden, the pretentious ass ship names i came up with for each one, and a brief summary of the dynamic. if any catch your eye... feel free to ask :3c
also using the ao3 convention of a / for romantic ships and a & for platonic or queerplatonic ships.
eden/wyll - handsome devils. (you find someone who finally shows you that, oh, life is worth it and you deserve the same kindness you show other people. everyone deserves to be saved, and that includes you.)
eden/astarion - loyalty in dogs. (you aren't the kind of person that others think is worth caring about. that's something you've made your peace with. it's a dog eat dog world, and you know you have to be the bigger dog to survive. unfortunately for you, it seems not everyone feels this way.)
wyll/eden/astarion - moths to a flame. (perhaps it was inevitable that you and the monster were drawn to the same star, the same bright flash of light that warms your soul and gives you hope like never before.
eden & gale - it's a wizard thing. (forsaken by the gods, you find divinity in the people around you. the only god worth your devotion is the one who stands besides you.)
eden & lae'zel - strange new worlds. (you are in a strange new place, a strange new time, and you are humbled by all you do not know. you decide to listen, and perhaps for the first time in your life, you truly learn.)
eden & karlach - self-determined determinism. (the world has given up on you, but you're not giving up on it. you believe in love, life, and justice, even if it seems most are content to leave you out of those. you will have your happy ending, even if you have to tear it from the closed fists of the gods themselves.)
eden & shadowheart - the children of lost souls. (your life is a lie, forged by the hands of people who only want to hurt you. nothing is what you thought it was, and you've lost everything you ever cared about. misery loves company, and you certainly have it in spades.)
eden/the knight - to love a fairytale. (you are haunted by the shadow of a person you'll never know, whose presence hangs over you like a funeral shroud. you mourn someone who was never alive to begin with. you want, and you want, and you want, but you don't know what.)

Did they get a postive response from adding those Gortash lines? I thought a bunch of people hateing on it instead? Also what if they removed the lines to change them a go a diffrent direction. I'm sorry. I have a lot of worry they wont do something I agee with.
The overwhelming reaction was positive. Durgetash artists went on Twitter to celebrate, and the small but passionate fans of the ship went nuclear here and on Twitter, and helped BG3 trend, yada yada, tale as old as time.
Most people don't care about Durgetash or Gortash. The majority of people you hear from would be the people who like both of those things. It's also a small ship.
The haters of that ship are even smaller in comparison, because the hand that reaches out will always touch more than the hand clenched into a fist.
And the only "legitimate" complainers, who don't just dislike the ship on principle, are the whiners who keep insisting their durges are lesbians, and how dare Larian "force" them into a relationship with a man - which is literally not what Larian did.
No one bitches about how Gale's ORIGIN completely precludes him from being gay.
I see no reason why you can't similarly have Durge's ORIGIN make them attracted to men. Or, you know. Enver is special.
Oh. And also. It's so fucking platonic, if you want it to be. Stop being stupid and just say you don't like Durgetash. It's as easy as that.
Stop using "lesbophobic" as a handy label for your self righteous soapbox. You just don't like the ship, and that's fine. It's FINE. But acting like Durgetash is lesbophobic - oh, go play a Tav.
And also, Astarion and Gale and Wyll better not flirt with you in game, even though you can tell them to fuck off, or else they're lesbophobic too.
That's the only discourse that gained traction on Twitter. As far as I know.
If Larian had made Gale wear blackface or something, and people got pissed, then yeah. They'd back up on that, and get rid of it pronto.
But Durgetash???
Aside from the general evil antics, they're not that fucking controversial of a ship.
Most people don't even PLAY the Dark Urge.
I don't know how to stress this any other way...
People act like Durgetashers are loud - we're honestly not that loud.
Astarion fans are far louder, and yet, the most romanced companion is SHADOWHEART and then Laezel and KARLACH.
He's not even in the top 3. And yet, he dominates the content on Twitter and Tumblr... he's definitely more popular than Gortash or the Dark Urge or Durgetash together...but his fans are still technically the damn minority.
So Durgetash in comparison to Starries???
Infinitesimal.
And Durgetash haters?
Would be even smaller.
So what I'm saying is...
I'm kind of tired of answering asks about this.
I don't KNOW for certain whether or not this is Larian backing up or walking forward, and while I don't believe they'd walk back on this, and especially not for a handful of people, it kind of annoys me to even think about things outside of my control.
now if Larian makes a big grand statement and says actually we totally rescind something WE WROTE AND ADDED TO THE GAME because some people got mad...then I'll call them cucks, and complain.
But as of right now?
As far as I know personally, and assume in my heart... it's neutral.
The lines are probably just bugged. Also, not ALL of them are bugged either, so.
Please stop freaking out, guys.
I am the world's biggest resident durgetash freak, and I'm shrugging at this, and just saying it's a bug.
Don't let it bother you. It's out of your control, regardless.
(And I stress again - if we find out they're legitimately backing away from something they did...they have the spine of a ham sandwich. But until we know that for sure, I won't condemn them for this, because as far as we know, it is legitimately an accident.)

After a 6 hour download due to bad internet, I finally got around to playing the Baldur's Gate 3 epilogue. And it feels like yet another piece of a game that fails to be more than the sum of its parts.
I'm a fan of Larian studios - DOS2 is one of my favorite games - and I appreciate how much work went into Baldur's Gate 3. I also ran seven playthroughs in that first release month; I've probably run through that game more than 90% of its players today, let alone given the timeframe. But BG3 had already been the biggest push for me to move away from D&D 5e in my tabletop games just from the Early Access, and I went into the release knowing I would find the combat rather insufferable (especially after a month or so of playing Wildermyth, which probably has my favorite simple tactical combat in a crpg I've played). And the application of skills in general. But honestly the cinematics / story delivery (and promise of consequences later) in EA had me wanting to see the rest of the game.
And the game does have its moments: Karlach's monologue & Dark Urge refusing their blood are fantastic. But those are all that really stood out in their entirety,
I stopped playing the game because the seventh playthrough was my tactician run for the last achievement at the time, and ironically it was the first time I actually got Dark Urge's special good ending (my four other Dark Urge runs I went to Avernus with Karlach). And the game gives this little somber note of reflection for Dark Urge, and it's an incredible moment that gives more closure for the whole game than the default endings and epilogue combined.
Then it's rather strangled the moment you reflect on the rest of the game, because the game doesn't allow itself much space to breathe. And it's all the tadpoles' fault.
If there's one thing missing from BG3 (which is being generous), it's adventure. The tadpoles have a lot of game design uses, but perhaps their largest impact is how they allow the game to yoink you on a single track towards its conclusion. So exploration is limited, and typically just rewards you with the equivalent of a pile of necrotic needles & a blighted shambling mound digesting you (all with a 30 perception check required to not be surprised, mind you). Or you accidentally skip half an act because you wandered into a tomb.
But I digress on why Act 2 is a wad of melting glue desperately trying to bridge the gap between the two actual halves of the game.
DOS2 and BG3 are both built out of wide area maps set in linear chains. There seems to be this philosophy that single, completely interconnected maps are just better than traveling between smaller areas via a world map even when those maps make the story make less sense, like the goblin camp being a ~10 minute walk from the grove down a straight road.
I want you to imagine what Act 1` might look like if the map was instead properly split up into distinct locations across an overworld map:
Your arrival in the grove is timed with the goblins attacking Waukeen's Rest; if you look through the telescope, you see their banners marching in that direction.
That gives you a marker on your world map to travel to, which takes a few hours overland and you find the place burning after the raid and can help the people there.
Here you could get two leads: the Zhentarim sending you down the road to the toll post to check on their shipment (with the flind & gnolls being a set encounter when trying to reach there) and tracks that lead to the blighted village.
In the blighted village you encounter some goblins, get the location of the goblin camp (likely from a dead or alive goblin), and head to that marker to find the warband returned from the inn and celebrating. (or maybe you find information on the Selunites here, and follow the indications of a Selunite temple in hopes of finding a healer, only to find it ruined with goblins in it).
Area divisions - whether short loading zones in old Monster Hunter or a dotted line for travel across a world map - give a ton of space to state or imply time & distance without needing to accurately render them. Pathfinder: Kingmaker did a great job of also throwing in some party banter for companions when you rested, which, with a good budget, could do wonders for providing those little companion interactions a good chunk of bg3 players appear to crave.
Those are some of the breathing moments the game needed. Little bits of connection, reflection, and companionship. I want more small moments for Dark Urge where you get to have them think on their affliction - really think! not "kick cat: Yes / no / normal dialogue." I want more urges that are actually urges and you have to resist, or actively save someone, and build this narrative anywhere other than your head because the game treats the Dark Urge as "here's a really evil option. You're good for not picking it."
Which sums up 95% of the game's "moral" choices too.
The one thing BG3 does better than any crpg I've played is its graphics, cinematics, and letting you make an explicitly trans character.
And I think that's why the epilogue felt so flat to me. You walk around and talk to people, then watch everyone give a toast. For all I've come to dread the thought of playing this game, I would pay a good amount to get an epilogue that's like DOS2, but with cinematics instead of character art.
