“You sure you don’t want me to run to the store for you?” Jack asked from the floor as he was playing dress up with Jayla.

Alyssa shook her head no. “I got it, babe. I’ll be in and out. Just grabbing a few things for Jayla for Valentine’s Day.” She says with a laugh and an eye roll. 

“And hopefully for me too.” 

“Maybe” Alyssa said with a wink, knowing she already had a plan for them. 

She could tell Jack was still worried, he never liked when she left the house late at night. Alyssa walked over, bending down to give him a sweet kiss on the lips. “You worry too much, princess” 

“That’s not funny.” Jack told her, trying to hold in his laughter. Jayla was only 2 but slowly became obsessed with makeup/hair after watching her mother do her own every morning. So now Jack was currently sitting on the floor with lipstick smeared over his lips and barrettes in his hair, with a crown to match. 

Alyssa gave Jayla kisses all over her face, childish giggles ringing in the air. “I’ll be right back, baby. Make sure to take care of daddy, ok?”

“Otay” 

She gave Jack one last kiss before she locked the door behind her but not before saying their phrase. 

“Love You, Mean It!”

“Jayla Rose! Can you explain to me why you waited till the last minute to tell me that you signed up Daddy to make cookies for your Valentine’s Day party”

It was 10pm, way past Jayla’s bedtime but Valentine’s Day was tomorrow and the kids were encouraged to bring baked goods.

“We always make cookies together!” Jayla exclaimed while adjusting her chef's hat on her head.

“Not at 10 o’clock at night.”

Jayla shrugged her and suddenly started playing with her KY chain hanging from her neck, something she did when she was nervous. 

“What’s wrong, babygirl?” Jack asked her, concerned. 

She began playing with her necklace some more and kicking her feet against the kitchen floor. “I just thought it would be fun, you always get sad during this time because of mommy.”

Jack immediately pulled her into a hug, he could feel his shirt start to get wet from her tears. “Hey, it’s okay.” He reassured her by rubbing her back.

“Look at me.” His heart wanted to cry as he looked at her big brown eyes that were filled with tears threatening to fall. “You don’t have to worry about Daddy, that’s my job. You and I are gonna have fun tomorrow. I have a whole day planned just for the two of us once you get out of school.”

Jayla perked up at that “Really?” 

“Yes, really. You know you’re my favorite valentine. Now, let’s wipe these tears and finish these cookies so you can go to bed.”

Ariel loved Valentine's Day, it was her favorite holiday. I mean, her last name was Love after all. Sure, she was 27 years old and single, but there were so many other reasons to love it. Not only did she love the flowers, the pinks and reds but she loved everything Valentines Day stood for, it’s about love, and what’s not to love about love? 

By morning her desk was filled with cards, candy and small stuffed animals. She was sure her planner was underneath all the gifts but Ariel was in no rush to look for it. Her favorite gift amongst them all was the donut bouquet from Jayla Harlow.

Ariel: rumor has it that you burned our classes Valentine’s Day cookies for our party?

Pressing send, Ariel grabbed one of the donuts from the bouquet. Before she could take a bite, her phone buzzed on her desk. 

Jack: didn’t you hear? I don’t clear up rumors

Ariel giggled at that knowing he was referencing one of his hit songs. As she was just about to text him back Jack sent another message 

Jack: but whoever started that rumor is in big trouble, can’t have someone spreading misinformation 

Ariel: you’d be shocked to know what else I’ve been told, but I wouldn’t want to give away my sources 

She moaned as she took a bite of her donut. She always had a sweet tooth. There was nothing like a strawberry frosted donut. 

Jack: well…you can tell me. I won’t tell anyone 

Taking another bite of her donut, she thought about all the things Jayla has shared with her. They were honestly pretty tame, compared to her other students giving her details about their parents divorce.

Ariel: oh you know, just that you get red as a tomato in the sun, you drink ranch dressing (big if true), the source claims they’re better at basketball and soccer than you, and that your idea of dancing is just stomping around. 

Jack: damn this source knows a lot about me 

Jack: and I’ll have you know that I’m very useful on the court

Ariel: hey, don’t shoot the messenger! Just some silly gossip between a teacher and their favorite student 

She laughed at the exchange before taking a glance at the clock, seeing the kids would be back from lunch in 15 minutes. Ariel should be using this time to plan out her lessons for the next week, but right now she’d rather flirt with her favorite students' dad. Lesson plans can wait. 

Ariel: Speaking of the party, are you joining us?

Ariel already knew that he would probably say no, according to other teachers Mr. Harlow never showed up to any of the school's functions. And he hasn’t in a long time. She watched as those three bubbles indicating that Jack was texting back popped up and would suddenly go away. 

Jack: uh probably not…I have some meetings this afternoon. 

While she knew he was going to say no, she couldn’t help but think about Jayla, who is usually very social, was suddenly very quiet today. 

Ariel: Well, if you end up getting out early, we’ve got plenty of heart shaped sweets with your name on it, and I have a feeling Jayla misses you.

She could hear the sounds of tiny footsteps and giggles coming down the hall so she knew her class will be making their way back in. She glanced down at her phone again and saw that Jack left her on read. She tried not to let it upset her, still she decided to send one last text. 

Ariel: the kids are coming back from lunch, Happy Valentine’s Day Mr. Harlow 

She shoved her phone back in her desk just in time to greet her kids back from lunch. 

“Ok, my sweet angel babies, let’s get in our reading circles. Today’s book is all about…LOVE!”

An hour later the Valentine’s Day party was in full swing. After socializing with the other parents and students she sat back and watched with a smile as the kids stuffed their faces with sweets. A small frown formed on her face when she noticed Jayla watching another student coloring with their mom with the same frown. Getting up from her desk, she took a seat next to Jayla. 

“Hi, Miss Love.” Jayla greeted her with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes, before she looked down and continued to color. 

“Hi, Jayla! I love your drawing. Is that your dad?” Ariel asked, pointing to the yellow stick figure. 

Jayla nodded her head yes, “I had to draw him yellow because he’s pale, and I couldn’t use a white crayon." Ariel had to stifle her laugh at that. 

“Of course. Well, I came over here to chill with you, if that’s okay?” Ariel asked.

“Yeah that’s fine! Do you wanna color with me?” Jayla asked not even waiting for a reply before pushing a paper towards her. 

Ariel smiled and grabbed a pink crayon and started drawing hearts all over the paper.

“Miss Love, your heart looks like a BUTT!”

“It does not!”

“MHM!”

Since most parents decided to take the kids home early because of the party, that left Ariel and Jayla by themselves at the end of the day. 

While Ariel waited for Jack to pick up Jayla, she decided to start cleaning up the classroom, hating a dirty room. As she was picking up papers and pencils off the floor, Jayla called her name from her spot in the class's reading corner.  

“Yes, Jayla?” She replied and looked towards her so that she had her full attention. 

“Do you have a mommy?” Ariel was shocked at that question, she walked over and sat on the floor next to her. 

“Yes, but she became an angel when I was a teenager. So it’s just me and my dad now” Ariel told her

She could tell Jayla had another question as she nervously played with the necklace. Ariel stayed silent giving Jayla some time to process what she wanted to ask next. 

“Do you ever miss her?” 

“Everyday.” Ariel answered almost immediately. 

Other teachers around the school talked all the time about how Jack was a “hot single father” and how no one knew much about Jayla’s mother. Ariel was never the one to gossip so she never dug deeper because it wasn’t her business to know. 

It was quiet for a while as Jayla turned back towards her book, flipping through the pages. Ariel could tell she had more to say but she refused to push her. 

“It’s just me and daddy too.” Jayla spoke after a while. She still was flipping through her book. “I don’t really know—“ Jayla couldn’t finish what she was saying as there was a soft knock on the door. Ariel and Jayla looked up and saw Jack leaning against the classroom door. 

“DADDY!” Jayla yelled as she jumped up and ran towards her father, conversation seemingly forgotten. Ariel stood back as she watched Jack kiss his daughter all over her face. 

“Sorry I couldn’t come sooner, babygirl.” 

“It’s ok, Miss Love was hanging out with me.”

Jack put Jayla down from his arms before he stood up straight and greeted Ariel. 

“Thanks, sorry I was late.” Jack said as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. 

Ariel waved her hand “it’s no problem at all, Jayla is one of my favorite’s students, I’d hang out with her any day.”

Jack smiled at that. “Now, Miss Love…I thought teachers weren’t supposed to have favorites.”

Ariel pressed her finger to her lips “SSH, don’t tell anyone.” Jack threw his head back with a laugh and the sound made Ariel’s heart flutter. 

“Before I let you two go, Mr. Harlow, I did promise you that we had some cookies with your name on it.” Ariel grabbed the case of cookies that she saved back for him. Jack smiled as he looked down at the heart shaped cookies. He could tell they were homemade. 

“Did you make these?” He asked, opening the container and grabbing one out. “Mm, these are delicious.” he said, biting into it. 

“Yeah, I always overbake so I figured since you couldn’t be here I would save the rest for you.” Ariel said with a shrug, she could feel her cheeks getting warm as she watched Jack eat her cookies. God she was down bad. 

“Maybe, I do need to come to these parties, if you’re going to be baking like this.” Jack flirted. 

“Just for the baked goods?” She joked 

“And to hang out with you..”

Jack felt a tug on his pants leg, breaking eye contact as he looked down at Jayla. 

“What about me?!”

“You didn’t let daddy finish, I was going to say I’d love to hang out with Miss Love and my babygirl”

Ariel smiled watching the exchange, her face getting warmer at Jack claiming he wanted to hang out with her. 

“Well, I wouldn’t want to keep you all here any longer, so I’ll let you two go. Bye, Miss Jayla, I’ll see you on Monday.”

What she didn’t expect was Jayla to leave Jack’s side and give her a tight hug around her legs. Even Jack was shocked at the action. Ariel got down to her level so she could give her a better hug. 

“Bye, Miss Love. You’re the best.”

“…and they lived happily ever after!”

The End 

Jack read as he closed the book to Jayla’s favorite bedtime story. 

“I love that book daddy, can you read it again?!” Jayla asked while giving him those award winning puppy dog eyes.

Still sitting on the edge of her bed, Jack shook his head no. “Not tonight, sweetheart. You know it’s late.” 

Jayla huffed and cuddled deeper into the covers on her bed and laid her head on Jack’s arm. He always liked to stay with her until she fell asleep. “Did you have a fun day?”

“Yup, Miss Love is so cool, and she’s just like me!”

Jack looked down at Jayla confused, “yeah, how so?”

It got quiet and for a moment, Jack almost thought she was fast asleep before she spoke up. 

“She only has a daddy! Her mommy is gone too, and she misses her everyday just like how I miss mommy” Jayla said softly followed by a small yawn

Jack tried to swallow the lump that immediately formed in his throat. Jayla hardly ever spoke to him about her mother's passing, so hearing that she missed her just as much as he did made the inside of his chest hurt. Jack was scared that if he opened his mouth he wouldn’t be able to stop crying, but thankfully when he looked down Jayla had fallen asleep in his arms.  

Not having the heart to leave her just yet, Jack cuddled in closer, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead as tears threatened to fall from his eyes. While Jack wished Jayla spoke to him about her mom he was grateful that she trusted Ariel enough to open up. 

Jack stayed in Jayla’s room for most of the night before making his way towards his bedroom. He was having a hard time sleeping with all the thoughts running through his head. After tossing and turning for a while, he reached over to grab his phone from the side table, and scrolled till he found the name he was looking for.

“Thank you for talking to Jayla, I really appreciate it.” He didn’t feel the need to elaborate, he knew Ariel would know what he was talking about. With it being so late in the night, Jack wasn’t expecting a reply so quickly, so he was surprised when he got a reply back after ten minutes. 

“Anytime, Jayla can always count on me.”

Listen, you don’t usually go to (very) large crowd events but exam month just ended you’ll honestly go insane if you see your exam note files and the four wall in your room rn(&the library). Luckily, The Korea University vs Yonsei University Grand Sport Festival! (in short: KoYon Sports Fest) is celebrated after exam period to de-stress students!

KoYon SF is traditionally celebrated every year and is held over two days. The celebratory festival is a friendly sports game between the two “rival” institutions. (mainly in; Football, basketball, ice hockey, rugby, and baseball)

KoYon SF is also known for its HUGE cheer battles too. Each University has its own cheer team and students dress in either blue (Yonsei) or red (Korea) to support their university team.

Anyway, enough of the sports fest description,,,

You, a Yonsei Student just finished your last exam so you decide to join your friend’s plan to attend and watch the sports games.

Fortunately for you, you finished your exam timetable early so you get ready for the events early

Unfortunately for you, your friends haven’t. They don’t finish their last exam until late afternoon so you won’t meet them until then,

That means, y’all miss the Football match…

and you have nothing to do until then… (cricket noise) 🦗🦟🦗🦟

But you’re literally gonna go insane if you stay in your room and see your module exams note pile for another minute.

So you decide to get ready to watch the football match by yourself. Wearing your Blue Yonsei Jersey shirt and a coat over because it’s kinda getting chilly these days (Don’t catch cold guys!) , you send your friends messages to meet you at the later game.

After making your way to the train station, you realise how long and crowded the line is with student attending the same game.😬 So you Uber Share with like 6 other students because why not, you’re an extrovert for the day.

✨ta-da, you actually make it to the arena early. ✨

but you’re still alone….🥲 and hungry,,, so you make your way to the food stall and grab a few quick snacks and drinks.

You see there’s like 10 min before the game starts and you wanna get a good seat so you start making your way inside

It was all good and peaceful until a MF bumps into you at the arena entrance, almost spilling ur drink.

You immediately shoot mean glares at this person, because why on earth are you running??? but you see this brown haired boy already bowing and apologising like 5 times per second - like are you a rapper?

You’re about to walk away when the brown-haired boy straightens up and suddenly he’s all quiet and surprise when your eyes accidentally meet

You’re hella confuse bc do u have something on your face? (Was it the bread u had?😀) or did you know him from somewhere but forgotten him?

So you wait for him to say something or- go away

He doesn’t even look away for a straight minute and it’s getting kinda awkward 😬

Then you hear him say “whoa pretty” under his breath.

now it’s YOUR turn to be surprised because like???

wha- what ?

He figures you heard him and this mf blushes??? and starts giggling?? aND THAT DIMPLE PEEKING OUT

now YOU’RE BLUSHING TOO

you two are having some sort of uwu staring competition rn because now u realise he looks SO GOOD (and is very very cute too😳) so you can’t look away

And he’s staring at you because,, hello, are you an Angel? because you look like you just fell- wait no scrap that. He shouldn’t say it but you look very ethereal to him.(He should learn a pick-up line or two from Sunghoon next time)

Love at first sight arc🥹

You see he’s about to say something but his friend swoops him away quickly. “There u are Won!!! Hoon and Sunoo are waiting for us at the seats already”

You didn’t even get his name,,

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT UNIVERSITY HE GOES TO BECAUSE THIS CUTE MF IS WEARING WHITE. (everyone:🔴🔵 jungwon:⚪️)

Big L - anyway, it was whatever🥲 you go find a seat and watch the game.

You literally understand nothing about football, but hey! you make friends with the international student sitting next to you!

Youv oth don’t understand anything but your team scored!🎤 you’re singing and dancing to the university chant along with your new friend !

Eventually, your university team wins :)

By the time it finishes, your friend messages you. They’re done with the exams and are ready to meet you

You say bye to your new friend and Uber to the next destination to meet your friends. You’re still kinda sad about the cute boy but,, whatever.

Y’all have quick food stop first though and you tell your friends about the cute boy from earlier and they tease the hell out of you but you don’t care😎 it’s a win

After, you actually arrive pretty early in the rugby stadium and your friends got a good seat by the front row. (You’re just praying you don’t get hit by the ball or something😐)

Anyway, after few minute the match is about to start so your friend explains you the game while you watch the players quickly warming up and stretching on the field

You’re like half listening half looking around

Suddenly, your eyes zooms in at one particular boy

HOLD ON

IS THAT THE CUTE BOY?

AND HE IS WEARING NUMBER 04 RED KOREAN UNIVERSITY RUGBY UNIFORM……

But like, you’re just gawking at him so when he looks around the crowd, he sees YOU. (again)

and suddenly he smile like (◝ ◡ ◜) !! because it’s you! The cute girl who he bumped into earlier! and you’re in the crowd!!!

but his face fall because,, #realisation moment when he sees you wearing blue😔 ofc you were gonna be there to cheer for your team

Jay sees him be all pouty so he looks around and see you in the crowd and he’s pretty sure you were talking to Jungwon at the football stadium earlier… did- did he ruin something?🥲

Jay notices that you’re wearing blue too so he guesses that’s also a factor to a very pouty leader rn.. so he approach Jungwon to tell him to do his best to impress u today

“but they’re not even cheering for our team even if I try my best☹️” (saur cute)

“That’s why you have to impress them and show them we’re better😎”

Jay was right. Jungwon’s goal is now to score a lot (and show off) to impress you and swoon you off your feet😠, not some rando in your uni’s team. ofc he’s gonna be better than your university’s team.

The game starts and its pretty boring ngl. The game and players are also kinda rough so you wish they wouldn’t go near Jungwon. (You finally see cute boy’s name behind his uniform)

You keep your eye on him all the time, screw the game and your team🤭. When his team scores he make sure to look at you and you can hear the wedding bell ring everytime🤭🤭 #delusionalhour

he’s close to scoring? “GO JUNGWON!! GET THAT BREAD!”

you’re pretty sure you’re getting mean glares from some competitive a-hole from your uni behind you but you don’t care, that’s (so-not) your man you’re cheering for.

And he loves it when he hears you cheers his name when he’s running with the ball (totally not running near you whenever he does just to hear it🤭)

He eventually scores a lot to show off,, thanks to you Korean University Wins!!

everyone in Korean University is celebrating and the players are all tackling each other to the ground but Jungwon has more important thing to do than to taste the soil and grass

He’s running towards you with a phone in his hand after disappearing for a good few seconds

Then he trips and fall😔

but that’s ok because he’s running to you again

“Uh… Hi😳”

“Hi Jungwon”

Few seconds of silent until you two are a blushing flustered mess

“Uh.. do you believe in love at first sight? Because I fell for you just now”

“But we already saw each other earlier🧌”

“um.. then… do you believe in love at third sight?”

“Please don’t trip and fall on purpose for that”

“NO pls😭 I was gonna say I could walk by again so you can fall for me at third sight”

Hi for the past twelve days I have been on a marathon of checking out every main Ratchet & Clank game. I do not know why I decided to get into this series. The idea appeared into my mind one day and I went Ok. Time to gaming. And then typed out my thoughts after finishing each game

So here are my thoughts on all the games I’ve seen (includes spoilers and a lot of words)

TL;DR: The Ratchet & Clank series are both the best and worst games I have ever experienced and I only recommend the first and last game

FIRST OFF; I will not be commenting on the gameplay itself because! I have never played these myself! I cannot afford to play them myself 😁. However I think the gimmick(?) of the gameplay like constantly switching between guns and leveling them up and stuff is extremely cool. OK Thinking

Ratchet & Clank (2002)

Nice and simple. I like how rustic it felt. Awesome anti capitalism. Ratchet is a jerk which I like because character development happens later on. For some reason I found it difficult to like Clank at first?? Overall though it is very good. Captain Quark needs to die

Going Commando

Story was paced weird but it was made in 10 months and they didn’t have actual writers apparently so I understand. It got better near the ending. I liked Angela she was cool and silly. Captain Quark needs to die

Up Your Arsenal

Very good, great introduction to Dr. Nefarious. I like him he is funny. I love his contrast with his butler Lawrence and the fact that he insults Nefarious in the most passive aggressive way but also follows his orders anyway. A lot of random pointless stuff though but the secret agent Clank thing was cute I liked the levels for him. Britney Spears knockoff (Courtney Gears) was there I guess I liked the level aesthetic for her. Captain Quark needs to die

Tools of Destruction

I like to ignore this one.

Quest for Booty

Pirates were there. I didn’t even pay attention to the story I just remember Clank appearing out of thin air and leaving (I skipped nearly the entire game and only saw the first and last part I cared for none of it)

A Crack in Time

Really good. Animation was amazing, especially for Dr. Nefarious. The Clank levels were very cool and I love that he actually gets a weapon. I like Sigmund also he reminds me of Filbo Bugsnax and I am glad he got promoted in the end. The time stuff was a bit messy but all the games are messy so I don’t give a darn. I really liked the reunion with Ratchet and Clank and how Ratchet was so tired and they just sorta laid there on the ground for a bit. I also really liked when Clank reached out his hand for a handshake and Ratchet hugged him instead 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 I LOVE STRONG FRIENDSHIPS And the whole part with Clank watching Ratchet sorta die right in front of him made me jawdrop. And I think Ratchet should have been glad that Azimuth died too. I seriously enjoyed the ending cutscene though with Ratchet about to leave by himself all sad and Clank running to join him 🥹🥹 I liked it a lot. Very very good game I loved the Ratchet and Clank’s friendship-focused parts a ton and Nefarious’s silly movements he was really good. Captain Quark needs to die

Into the Nexus

The story was simple I don’t really have a strong opinion on it. It sure was an Into the Nexus! Captain Quark needs to die

Rift Apart

Oh my goodness.Wow . Wow. Wow. WOW. What A Game. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The story was extremely good, lots of layers to it.

I'm having trouble forming thoughts right now it is late at night at the time of typing this up so I'm putting it in a list but some of them are paragraphs ok Also out of order they don't make sense

-Ratchet's characterization was... Interesting?? I don't really mind too much since I'm able to ignore it, but I feel like he was out of character for most of the game. I still love him, though. Clank mostly stayed the same to me, at least. I liked his interactions with Rivet during the time they spent together, with Rivet being all suspicious of him in the beginning and Clank only trying to help and later gaining her trust and them becoming a decent team.

-I enjoyed the Clank puzzles and I liked Gary, he's silly. The thing with the Plumber actually being Gary's dad was a surprise LOL I like the running gag of him showing up or being mentioned throughout the games

-I'm also a sucker for when robots feel emotions, so the parts with Clank or Kit feeling bad always get me ☹️☹️☹️☹️

-Speaking of Kit, I really like how Rivet and Kit's relationship was handled. I like that they didn't know they had met one another before the events of Rift Apart. I like that they had genuine conflict with one another, with Rivet attempting to patch things up but it didn't go how she wanted, and so she got frustrated and just left Kit behind like that. It made me sad to see her without Kit and that Kit wasn't even there when everyone else was all together at Zurkie's just before the final fight :(

-I thought it was cute when Rivet was practicing saying "Hi" to Ratchet before they met face to face aueee AND WHEN THEY DID MEET UP AND SHE MET KIT AND aiuauuaeee it was so cute i love them forever

-I LOVE JUICE AND JUNK BOT AND I MISS THEM SO MUCH AUAUEEEE I LOVE i love junk bot. Junky. I miss him i miss him he;s one of my favorite side characters

-Clank swearing was unexpected but welcome

-I liked Emperor Nefarious & Dr. Nefarious's Doofenshmirtz-type relationship like in that one P&F movie

-Captain Quantum is miles better than Quark and I like that he was also some sort of pirate captain

-Where Talwyn .?? She's not a favorite of mine but I was kind of confused when she was just Gone except for in the credits. Lol ?

-I liked Pierre he was extremely annoying but in a good way

-Goons-4-Less guys were funny I love their stupid dialogue

-WAIT I ALSO REALLY LOVE Emperor nefarious enemy troops THEY'RE SO ENTHUSIASTIC i love them and their voices

-All the planets were absolutely FANTASTICAL. I LOVED THE ENVIRONMENTS SO MUCH AND HOW THE CRYSTAL THINGY worked i forgot what it was called but it was so crazy how an entirely different world just instantly loaded like that. Wow wow wow

-The pirate trials gave me secondhand embarrassment

-I like that Kit wasn't a defective war bot like how Clank was. Which is probably obvious that she wouldn't be a defective bot considering this is supposed to be opposite dimension stuff but watever I still like it

-Music good

-ZURKON JR I LOVE ZURKON JR. Invader zim

-I LOVED THE WHOLE SEQUENCE WITH THE GRIND RAILS AND THE FIXER AAHHH THAT WAS AWESOME HOW EVERYTHING Was falling apart around you and that brief moment of Rivet sliding across his shoulders like a bridge to another side that was so so so so SO cool

-Glitch segments were cute

-Final boss was AMAZING. THE GIANT ROBOT. WONDERFUL

-Dr. Nefarious also being against Emperor Nefarious was very good and that last part with him kicking Emperor off the cliff was Perfect

-End credits song was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed very much

Okay! Up next from last week’s poll is my MC: ✨Phoenix Realta✨

❄️He loves to cook… as you may have guessed considering he’s always the one cooking every meal.  But… a little background (and I’ll split this into two)… He grew up poor and his mom wasn’t big on cooking, so the times when his kitchen was stocked, it consisted of a lot of frozen and canned/boxed meals like soup, tuna, mac and cheese, and frozen pizza. His favorite thing growing up was peanut butter and banana on toast. He’d toast the bread so that the peanut butter would be all melty and gooey.

❄️He learned how to cook properly from Julian during the year he lived with him in Copperdale. It was the only real quality time they spent together, but they both really enjoyed it. When Phoenix moved to the city, he fell in love with the variety of food and restaurants available. He started collecting cookbooks and watching cooking shows to learn more and more complicated recipes. It can be difficult to cook for only 1-2 people, so it’s nice that Atlas and Asher come over for dinner every Sunday. (fun fact: all of these things are very important to the future of Aspen’s story btw)

❄️The man cannot sit still. He’s even worse than Dawn in that regard. He always needs to be doing something. He actually misses the days when he was training and climbing to prepare for the Mt. Komorebi excursion. It kept him busy and active all the time. After that was over, it was kind of a bittersweet moment, like he didn’t know what to do with himself. So, he got into running. Luckily, Aspen keeps him quite busy now, but he still runs every day, rain or shine.

❄️He is very much addicted to coffee and has been for years. He likes it strong and black. He can’t start his day without it, and he drinks multiple cups throughout the day, especially at work. At this point, he can barely function without it and gets really bad headaches if he goes a day without a cup.

❄️And, of course, he’s a new father! And he is soooo happy! Aspen is a lot of work, but like I said, Phoenix always needs to be up doing something, so he’s happy to be taking care of her. He’s just so grateful she’s finally here. 🥹 And honestly, he’s pretty bummed about having to go back to work sooner than expected. I think there’s a part of him that would’ve loved to be the one staying home with Aspen. Once Dawn mentioned wanting to stay home, I think a part of him wanted to say that he does too and maybe she should be the one to go back since she makes more money. Instead, he signed himself up for a more demanding, higher paying, career path, and cut his own time at home short, so that he could support Dawn in staying home with their daughter. It’s in his nature to put her first, and he genuinely wants to do whatever he can to make her happy, that’s his priority, but I don’t think we should ignore the immense sacrifice he's making. He doesn’t want to be away from Aspen or miss out on any big moments in her development any more than Dawn does, but he also doesn’t feel right about taking that away from her. My heart kinda aches for him a little, y’know.

I love him so much! And it’s been too long since I’ve gotten in his head and done a proper character development exercise for him, so I really enjoyed this! TYSM for sending me this ask!! 🫶🏻

Ranking every episode for Jeia

1. Dirty Double Booker - They break my heart in this episode, but also have so many cute moments. Jay trading shifts at work, their kiss, how in the beginning of the ep they’re just holding hands, the bicep scene, Jay’s arm around Leia, Leia trying to make things work with both Jay AND Gwen. There should’ve been Jay/Leia/Gwen triangle srsly. Jay being so understanding about Leia making plans with Gwen. Like I said, the ending breaks my heart so badly.

2. Kids In America - Now THIS one gives me so many emotions. I loved their cute moments in the beginning of this. At first, even as a Jay/Jeia stan, they rubbed me the wrong way because I had this feeling Jay was stringing Leia along but now looking at it, it seems like he’s just cherishing those last few moments. Also Kitty making Jay realize he shouldn’t be scared, him wanting to make things work, the “I will spend every day making it up to you” scene. Like HOW are they not the endgame? Come on people! Also Leia’s face post kiss.

3. Boyfriend Day 1 - I LOVE how Jay stood up for Leia and was hellbent on not letting her take the blame. And that speech to Red 🥹. Giving E/D fr. Also them saying the same things at the same, the phone thing, and their hug: ADORABLE! And don’t even get me STARTED on the ‘bye babe! Aww!’ scene! Literally the cutest ever.

4. Summer Storm - It’s not really my fave, mostly because I’ve watched that episode several times haha. But they were cute here. It was nice seeing Leia wanting to take another step and going to Nikki for relationship advice. Also them dancing at the end 🥰. I wish there were more episodes in s1 so we could see them flourish.

5. The Birthday Girl - THE Jeia episode. Leia’s fantasy for them as Kelly and them going together, Jay coming back to wish her a happy birthday, their first kiss, them FINALLY getting together, and them leaving in the car was nice (before they were pulled over ovo). The one thing I didn’t like tho is how Leia was so willing to change herself just to get with Jay. I’ve explained my feelings on this here.

6. Lip Smackers - I’ve discussed my issues with Leia’s plot but I loved the Jeia here. It really solidified that Jay’s feelings for Leia ARE genuine. Before I just thought it was some comedic joke where it’s ‘haha Jay flirting with the New Girl’ (like what friends did with Rachel/Joey early on), but this episode solidified that it was genuine. And it seemed like this was where Leia started to feel the same way about Jay. Also the car scene is A+, like E/D much?

7. Free Leia - While I think it’s more a Geia episode than a Jeia one, I loved their little moments here.

8. That 90s Pilot - Same as Free Leia. I also loved seeing them walking out together and Red being like ‘WTF’. I can only IMAGINE what would’ve happened if E/D was there. J/L just gave such couple vibes in that scene.

9. The Rave - Also not my fave tbh. Like it was fun seeing them be all chaotic but I hate the end where Leia is ‘playing the player’ and ‘Kelso-ing the Kelso’. And how it’s literally applauded in the end?? Gwen herself said that she was just winging the ‘you’re a goddess, own your power’ and that Leia should go after what she wants. Yet Leia still does this?? I do cut her slack because she 14 and Jay is probably the first guy she likes.

10. Step By Step - I love the angst for them in this episode, but once again the whole ‘playing the player’ bullshit. And the way Leia and Gwen literally LAUGH and are PROUD of Leia basically giving Jay a mental breakdown is disgusting. Which is why I hated making gifs for Geia in that episode.

i was kinda struggling to even make gifs after watching the video, cause i kept thinking about how the pinofs have been a thing in my life since i was a kid, and how it hurt when they ended, but then now getting to remember them with love and joy with dnp and all of us here. as cheesy as the whiskers quote is, that’s what eventually did it for me too though, like i just couldn’t hold back the tears. 🥲

the reflecting on past selves thing throughout was so beautiful to see, cause they really have grown a lot since all those videos were made, and yet they still do some things exactly the same. like the little songs they come up with about random things, phil saying the sound barrier thing, and dan jumpscaring phil. but in many ways they’re not the same as they used to be, which is why when dan said he finally recognized himself in pinof 10… oof it was a lot, im just so proud of and happy for him 🥹 it all goes to show how far they’ve both come personally and professionally.

even though dnp have thanked us for our support many many times, it never stops feeling like 😭😭😭😭 though. it’s so genuine, so heartfelt. i feel like that doesn’t happen in many fandoms, not ones i’ve been a part of at least. whenever they say it, i know for sure they mean it. and that means the world to me, cause i feel like i owe them a million thanks.

i’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to see them on tour, that really sucks. i couldn’t go see their tours either, and i was really upset about that for a long time. it can be really tough not having those memories, especially when a lot of phannies do. i did finally see dan on tour this year, so that was an absolute highlight. i hope we all get to see them on tour together in the future though, who knows!!

Dramas I watched this past month!

Overprotected Kahoko (jdrama) 8

I'm on a quest to find good jdramas because when they're bad, they're crazy bad, but when they're good, they become instant comfort. The vibes in this one are 100% there. Overprotected by her mother, a 22-year-old meets her complete opposite, and in the midst of falling in love, she decides she wants to become a real adult… all this around her messy (yet charming) relatives. It was a small cute, and heartwarming family drama. I don’t really have much to say other than that I love Kahoko, she’s the cutest.

Queen of the Ring (kdrama) 7?

FL puts on a ring that has the ability to make her crush see her as a beautiful girl. I watched this one because I loved Kim Seul Gi in Splash Splash Love and Ahn Hyo Seop was enough excuse to check it out. I kinda hated it but enjoyed it at the same time? It makes me mad to see how they judged everything by looks (especially both ML and FL) but let’s be honest, It was realistic. It was a bit hard to believe, though, because I didn’t think the FL was ugly at all. What didn’t convince me about this one was that most of the love story happens while she’s wearing the ring and so it kinda ruins it for me.

Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun (jdrama) ?

Kinda good girl x bad boy trope? Except the bad boy isn't really a bad boy, he just looks like one.

I can’t really rate by number because it was too short and, to be honest, I got what I expected. Soft and simple. He fixes bikes and fixes her, they later begin to hang out and get closer. No serious drama, just two people starting a relationship.

Touch Your Heart (kdrama) 7.5

A rom-com drama with Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na’s amazing chemistry from Goblin sounds so good on paper. I feel like I should have watched this one right after I watched Goblin, but I never did.

Even though the chemistry between them was still there and strong, the show and both characters felt a bit stiff? They could have used them a lot better but were given a kind of meh storyline that bored me a little too much by episode 12. Still, they had their moments, and… it’s them 🥹 it’s impossible not to like (despite everything else).

D.P. Season 1 (kdrama) 10

I’ve been putting it off because, even though I knew it was going to be good, in drama world, I go to romance lol.

I 100% watched this because of Jung Hae In (and I was low-key curious about Koo Kyo Hwan after watching him in that episode of Attorney Woo.) Neither of them disappointed. In fact, they gave more than what I was expecting. Their dynamic and acting was impeccable. I really have nothing to say about this one because, yeah, it's a 10/10.

W: Two Worlds (kdrama) 8.5

Nothing beats a 2016 kdrama lol. I started obsessed with this one (even though I remember never adding it to my watchlist because I thought it wouldn't be my cup of tea, silly me). The storyline was extremely entertaining, although all in all, I'm not 100% sure it made sense.

I literally feel like I've lived so much watching it. I was on episode seven, and so many things had happened that I had no idea how they would continue it, and yet things KEPT HAPPENING, and plots kept getting twisted. Perhaps that's the reason why I binged the 12 eps of the drama, but it took me a while to finish the three last episodes. At some point, things started to lose sense, and I couldn't understand what was really going on, which resulted in me getting bored. All in all, it was a worth-it drama though. The romance was 11/10 (kept me on my knees) and the soundtrack 10/10 (old dramas have such bangers man)

Perfect Marriage Revenge (kdrama) 7.5/8

I usually don't like watching these types of drama because sinister family members who do shit just to hurt the leads make my blood boil. Like there's no way someone is THAT evil. I did enjoy this one, though. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but I really liked the love story, the ML's family, and the evil people getting what they deserve.

“Oh, wait,” Carson pondered for a second as she stood in the middle of the living room, one hand on her hip, the other touching her face as she glanced around in thought. “Maybe the tree will look better over there.”

“Carse, I’ve moved this box three times. Please make up your mind, babe.” Auston groaned as he stood up straight and looked over at his wife.

It was December 1st, just a regular Thursday to everyone else and an off day for Auston, but to Carson, it was so much more important than that. Why? Because it was the day, the Matthews family was decorating for Christmas.

Since moving out of the condo and into their new house in Toronto, Carson was overwhelmed and excited by the space she had to decorate. To make it all more exciting, it was also Mia’s first holiday season which had Carson wanting to make it even more special.

However, she didn’t expect to be so stressed out.

The rest of the house was basically decorated. Carson made sure to buy festive decor around the house's main floor, including garland, glass jars filled with ornaments, lights and an unnecessary amount of Christmas-scented candles. She’d already offered to host at least two Christmas gatherings, not including when some of the family would stay with them later in the month.

There was a lot on Carson’s plate with all the planning she had to do, but even that wasn’t as bad as the dread she felt when it came to making everything look perfect.

“Ok, but what if we set it up in that corner, and it doesn’t look good?” Carson asked, a slight pout on her lips as she looked at her husband.

“I think it’ll look great in either corner,” Auston tried to reason.

“Well, Mia might want it in a different corner entirely.”

“I’m sure Mia doesn’t care where the tree gets set up, Carson,” he told her and nodded toward their 10-month-old, who was busy trying to climb into a box of ornaments. “She seems occupied.”

“Oh, Mia,” Carson reacted as she moved from her spot to go over and pick up their daughter. “You can’t go in there, little miss.”

Mia started giggling as Carson peppered her with kisses, and as soon as she was set back on the ground, didn’t waste any time crawling over to where Frank lay in front of the electric fireplace.

Carson watched Mia with a small smile, and Auston observed them both for a moment, his heart swelling with adoration. He didn’t want to ruin the moment, but he knew that he and Carson needed to figure out the tree situation before Mia got into something she wasn’t supposed to.

“What about this corner here,” Auston spoke up as he moved to said corner. “It won’t block the window seat, and you can still see it from outside. It’s away from the doorway into here, so Frank won’t be running into it all the time, and because it’ll be against the same wall as the TV and fireplace, we’ll still have a perfect view of it from the couch.”

“I guess that could work,” Carson responded, but clearly still thinking. “I just don’t want to get it all set up and regret putting it there.”

“I just want it to be perfect, Auston. Is you not stressing me out even more about it too much to ask?”

Auston blinked in surprise, not expecting that reaction from the woman standing across from him, and even Carson seemed surprised by her outburst.

“I-I’m sorry,” she apologized immediately and looked away from Auston, trying to blink back the tears she could feel forming as she fiddled with the sleeves of her hoodie. “I didn’t mean to snap.”

“Hey, it’s ok,” Auston assured her and wasted no time moving from where he stood so he could go over to Carson. Once he was beside her, Auston pulled her into his embrace, and Carson immediately wrapped her arms around him and leaned against his chest. “You wanna tell me what’s going on? I know there’s no way the location of our Christmas tree has got you this upset.”

“You know me well,” Carson chuckled and shook her head before sighing. “I’ve just been thinking about my mom a lot lately. She loved Christmas and always made it so special for Mya, Nate and me. It was magical, and I want to do the same for Mia. Obviously, I know she will not remember her first Christmas, but I will.”

Auston couldn’t help the smile that grew as he listened before moving to place a kiss on top of Carson’s head.

“I love you,” he mumbled against her hair. “Mia’s first Christmas is going to be amazing. I won’t question what you want to do anymore. When we moved in here, I promised you could be the interior decorator, which applies to holidays.”

“Even though I go overboard?” Carson asked as she moved away from Auston’s chest to look up at him.

“Yes, I think it’s cute.”

At that, Carson smiled and then stood on her tiptoes so she could peck his lips. “I love you.”

“And I love you,” Auston reminded her. “Now, about this damn tree.”

“I think you might be onto something by putting it in the corner by the window,” Carson chuckled as she stepped away from Auston and over to the corner he was standing in a few minutes prior. “It’ll cover some of the bookshelf, but I can live with that.”

“You say like these aren’t all books you’ve read and that you don’t have more all around the house.”

“And what about it?”

“Nothing, nothing,” Auston responded, smiling and holding his hands up in surrender. “Alright, so the tree goes in that corner. Final answer?”

“Yes, I think it’ll look great there,” Carson answered.

“Perfect,” Auston said before pushing the box toward the area. “Now that’s decided, we can finally start setting it up.”

“And fluffing, which I know you love so much.”

“Right… the best part.”

Carson laughed at Auston’s sarcasm before moving to lift the box of ornaments and lights over to where Auston started piecing the tree together, but before she could even look at the box, she was met by a thud a gasp and the sound of small items spilling out all over the floor.

Carson and Auston quickly looked to the source of the noise to find Mia sitting beside the now tipped-over box, surrounded by ornaments and looking at her parents in surprise. Soon, her shocked expression faded as she let out a happy squeal and grabbed an ornament by its string to swing around merrily.

Auston and Carson looked at each other again, trying not to laugh before Auston spoke.

“I don’t think Christmas decorating will ever be boring now that we have her to keep us entertained.”

Here are my thoughts on Nightbringer. Spoilers for lessons 1-10; I haven’t unlocked everything because my strength took a nosedive around lesson 5, but I’m working on levelling up my team so I can. I also want to make sure I’m not struggling when they release the next lesson 🥲

Anyway . . .

I’m enjoying the story so far! It’s interesting to see what the brothers acted like before they integrated into Devildom society and the impact the Great Celestial War had on them. They’re still the same characters we know and love, but at a much different time in their lives. Their wounds are still fresh, they’re trying to navigate their new lives as well as the trauma of losing their sister and the fall. They’re going through so many changes, and I want to be there for them 🥺

The story doesn’t go as in depth as I’d like, but that’s to be expected since the original game lacked that detail too; that’s what fanfiction is for! However, I’m finding it more enjoyable and better written than seasons 3 and 4 of Obey Me. Of course, they had their moments, but they didn’t feel the same as the first two seasons to me, and Nightbringer does a better job of that in my opinion. It brought back memories of the first time I downloaded and played Obey Me and how excited I was to continue the story. I definitely had a difficult time putting my phone down lol.

I hope they have a solid outline for the story and its progression. I don’t want what happened to Obey Me to happen to Nightbringer. I’ll be curious to see if they tie everything together in the end and if we’ll get to see how the brothers in the present timeline feel about MC’s diasppearance. The Nightbringer aspect is interesting, and I’m assuming Barbatos is Nightbringer. I wonder what his reasons are for sending MC to the past, and if it was present Barbatos or perhaps Barbatos from the future or another timeline?

I do dislike how, even though the story takes place in the past, the timeline doesn’t add up. Obey Me has always done this (example being Levi reading manga and watching anime when it shouldn’t exist yet) so I tend to ignore it for my own sake. I’ll write these inconsistencies out of my own headcanon.

I feel so sad for the brothers and all they went through and are still going through. I know my MC would do their best to be a positive influence in their lives, supporting and comforting them through these difficult times. I also see my MC being uncertain and scared being stuck in the past and not knowing how they ended up there or if they’ll be able to return to the present, wishing they could turn to the brothers and not being able to. The demons they came to know and love don’t know or love them, and that would be hard to deal with; home but not quite. Then having to keep themselves together and pretend everything is okay, lying to those they love because they can’t risk the impact it would have on the future 😭

I like that Solomon plays a bigger role in Nightbringer. I’ve grown fonder of his character. My MC would appreciate his company and consider him their rock: I see my MC and Solomon having a sibling-esque relationship. If it weren’t for Solomon they would feel much worse and not know what to do. I love his relaxed nature and sense of humor too. It’s comforting.

And of course I have to talk about Levi!!! MY SWEETIE PIE 🥹🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Honestly, I was afraid of how they’d depict him in Nightbringer. I’m still a bit nervous since they haven’t mentioned him being a general in the Celestial Realm or Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy; I’ll be curious to see if they do at some point. Obey Me also showed he was not always an otaku shut-in and implied that happened after the fall, but I’m almost under the impression that’s not the case in Nightbringer? I’m not certain though. They did state in Obey Me that Levi had control over Lotan in the Celestial Realm, but in Nightbrinfer it shows that summoning and having control over Lotan is one of his newfound abilities ehhh.

I love his interactions with Snake/Henry 1.0 😭 They’re so sweet!!! I hope we get to see Levi becoming an avid TSL fan; it’s funny that MC introduced him to both TSL and Ruri-chan hehehe. And since Snake will become Henry 1.0 I’m really looking forward to more TSL content. PLEASE 🥺✨ I was so happy with Levi’s storyline and how they incorporated TSL. 

I never thought I could love Levi even more than I do, but in this moment I fell in love with him all over again 🥰 He’s SO adorkable!!! I want to hug and kiss him and smother him with LOVE. And getting to waltz with Levi flkdsjflkds Such a sweet moment. The progression of his and MC’s relationship is much different than in Obey Me, and it’s interesting to see how a freshly fallen Levi interacts with MC compared to the Levi who’s been a demon living in the Devildom for centuries (you could say this for any/all of the characters.) I initially didn’t like his character in Obey Me because he was mean, rude, and demanding until I found out he’s actually a total cutie 😊 

Ahhh and the scene where we run into Levi in the bathroom!!! I love how at first he doesn’t believe MC wants to spend time with him of their own accord, but then says how, in the shower, he thought it over and maybe MC means what they said. MY HEART 😭 When he opened up to MC I wanted to cry and wished I could hug the poor demon. Talking about how even in the Celestial Realm he was depressed, not feeling like he belonged, and thought maybe that would change in the Devildom. And in that moment I thought, “no wonder he’s my comfort character.” Poor Levi has been dealing with so much, even in the Celestial Realm, and I want to see him happy. He deserves all the anime, manga, and games in the three realms!!! Oh, and when it was obvious he was interested in cosplay but too self-conscious to give it a try. Ahhh, I relate to him too much. It all hit me hard, and I wanted to cry the entire time. 

He ends up coming such a long way 😢 I LOVE HIM SO MUCH 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

All the characters are dear to me, but another one I wanted to talk about is Satan!!! I’ve always enjoyed his character, and he was actually a favorite of mine before I become a hardcore Leviastan. Nightbringer made me appreciate his character again, and he pushed his way into my top 3. I feel like I can relate to him. Not being able to control your emotions, having a hard time understanding yourself and those around you, wanting to fit in and not knowing how, being unable to express yourself and lashing out when you don’t mean to. I’ve felt similar throughout my life (still do in ways) but have learned to hide my “true” self behind a mask when in public and have had to figure out how to navigate and express myself in healtheir and “acceptable” ways. If that makes sense lol. I kept relating to him and feeling so sorry for him. Yes, he’s scary when his anger gets the best of him, but I still felt sympathetic, found him relatable, and wanted to comfort him. EDIT to add he also seems to get overwhelmed and overstimulated easily, which I, again, relate to; like when Belphie was upset, and Satan had to leave because he couldn’t deal with the commotion. 

And I know Obey Me overused his love for cats, but the scene where he sees a cat for the first time 🥺 Cats seem to be a comfort for him, and I can understand that too. Animals are a huge comfort for me, especially bunnies, and are some of the best friends I’ve had. When no one understood me, they did, and I felt like I could be myself and they would accept me for who I am; they don’t judge and love you uncondtionally. Sorry, I’m getting personal, but I wonder if it’s the same for Satan. I want to give him a big hug.

Omg, I’ve talked long enough, but now I want to talk about game mechanics! I actually enjoy playing Ruri Tunes. The dance battles in Obey Me always bored me. I hated not being able to skip them before VIP. I didn’t mind them in the beginning, but the more I played the more they annoyed me. Ruri Tunes is entertaining and engaging! I’ve never played a rythm game before, but I’m learning and am better than when I first started a couple days ago. I love listening to the songs and hope they drop the remixes eventually. I find myself wanting to get better at Ruri Tunes so I can clear them all and get full combos; I love when Levi says FULL COMBO lol.

As for Wanderers’ Whereabouts and Fab Snap, I feel indifferent to them at the moment. They don’t add anything to the story for me, and I’m not a fan of the 3D models. I haven’t messed around with them too much, so maybe they’ll grow on me, but as of now they don’t interest me.

I think the app itself runs a lot smoother and doesn’t lag like Obey Me did. The graphics are nice, though I miss aspects of the original Obey Me app like the transition between scenes and lessons and the look and feel of Nightmare; I think they could have updated them without losing the ambience of the originals’. Does that make sense? Otherwise, I love how they updated the game!!!

I can’t wait to see how the story progresses and Nightbringer grows over time. I was afraid when I heard they wouldn’t be updating the original app because Obey Me brings me so much comfort and joy, but a lot of my doubts have subsided since playing. I’M SO HAPPY AND IT REALLY CHEERED ME UP 😭✨

Hiii I am here! Late to reply but I'm here! And lolll a usual story! It often starts with the men haha. My dad was a huge fan, too, so our TV always had basketball on. But I've come to love the sport even as a spectator! Whereas you've come to use it as a journalist nakkssss 😌😌 hahaha but true. PH basketball is sooo different now. I think it's also the culture. I can't even keep up with the conferences and the players and stuff. Nice to know my UAAP heroes are thriving but it's just not the same.

As for your lovely words... THANK YOU. 🥹 I'm such a context person in that I like exploring the why's of people - why they do what they do and say what they say. It always comes from somewhere, and a lot of it is fear. It's such a human feeling, so is desire. But I love writing about love, too, and that itself is complicated and beautiful. And I know it's just fanfic but it's a way for me to kind of release all these reflections and insights into the world and I'm just happy you're able to connect with these very flawed fictional humans! There's a little of us in them for sure! 💕

Lol sometimes I wish the stories would stop bc I won't stop thinking about them! I literally have scenes and dialogues written up for stories that idk if I'll ever get to actually write but yeah, hopefully there's energy and inspiration to match the ideas. mon, i’ve been wanting to text you since friday night, as soon as i finished ep9 but i’ve been so incredibly overcome with emotion, i just have not had the courage to process everything and put what i feel into words.

i have been bawling since the very start of the ep, mon. right from the night-&-day conflict-cause reveal, to the first time day realises he’s losing sight, to the intimate scene, to (of course) the final scene, i have literally been in tears, unable to process any of my feelings. hell, i couldn’t even watch the full ep from between my tears, but i’m too scared to go back and watch so soon. there are so many things i felt, so many thoughts i had that i wanted to share with you but i’m just so overwhelmed even as yet, and i just want you to know, that if ever my thoughts become a little bit more clear and my feelings a bit less overwhelming, you will definitely be the first to hear all i want to say (sorry to be a bother but you’re like one of the few people i can share the utter happiness that this show is for me and i really want to discuss ALL ABOUT IT with you, and get all your thoughts!! but i get so overwhelmed and am so random with being active on this app, ughh it’s so hard 😭😭😭😭😭)

take all the time you need tho, i definitely understand feeling overwhelmed by this show and not being able to write down everything you want to say. and idk if im the only one experiencing this, but these past couple of months since last twilight started have been so surreal to me like. i haven’t even begun to process 13% of the things that happened in episode 9 or any past episode really and it’s already time for episode 10 tomorrow. we’ve waited for this show for a whole year and in two more weeks it’s already gonna be over and yet somehow im still stuck on the very first episode with so many things to say and so many emotions to deal with and so many thoughts i want to share with you all but it seems too late now except it’s not!!!!!! we’re still here talking about vice versa after almost two years, we’re gonna be here talking about last twilight long after it ends!!!!!!

and to me this does feel like a show that you need to let sink in and settle a little before you can fully appreciate it, not because it’s overly complicated or controversial, but because it strikes something so deep into your soul that you need to watch it multiple times to unravel all its beauty. the feelings you get when you experience something for the first time can’t ever be repeated, but there is new understanding to be found in all the times after it. like you said, even just by watching episode 9 you can tell that there’s so much love and so much care that went into this show, and then you watch the bts videos and you see how hard everyone worked to make this happen, how the entire crew climbed that quite literal mountain just to deliver something special to us

i think that’s why despite all of my fears and worries about the ending that i can’t quite shake off, im also trying really hard to have faith in everyone involved in the show, because it’s a product of love and i will always be so deeply grateful to them for gifting it to the world

Yes, it was rushed, I think it has to do with how little I’ve been able to focus on it over the past week and how hard it is for me to write family interactions considering my experience with my own family has always been so fucking toxic I don’t know much what a healthy dynamic is like. I tend to rewrite Mason and Lily a lot because I’m never fully happy with their dynamic. But I was thinking of writing individual interactions? Like, Y/N getting closer to his parents and eventually telling them how she felt? I have some ideas for the next chapter and I think that’d fit and I’d love to know your thoughts on it if you’d like to DM me? ♥️

Okay story time!

Before I got obsessed with ysblf, I was obsessed with BTS. So obviously I was in the BTS army/fandom. I was active in Twitter so I had quite a following (over 4,000 followers! Sorry I had to brag🤭). Random people would message me and you know me, I wanted to make friends so I would reply back and made some nice conversation. Now tell me why a 10 year old girl started messaging me!!! The worst part is that I didn’t even know she was 10 until multiple messages later!! When I found out her age I was flabbergasted! Like why is a 10 year old messaging strangers!! Kids these days are so bold!! This was 3 yrs ago so she’s probably only 13 now ugh I can’t believe it! I always think about that girl till this day😭 I should’ve known honestly, cause the way she “typed” was off like you could tell she was way too young😭 that got me wondering tho! How old we’re you guys when y’all decided to message strangers online? I was 20yrs old when I started to do so and that’s for my BTS Twitter account. I’ve always read fanfics, I think I started when I was 13 yrs old but even then I never commented on a fic ever until this year, just a few days ago actually. And that’s only cause the fic I commented on belongs to a mutual here! I’ve always been too shy to talk with strangers 😔

In my Twitter bio I always had my date of birth (Ik I shouldn’t) so everyone could know my exact age plus I wanted to attract people my age yk, but no! I always got kids I’m my dms! (That 10 yr old knew I was 20 yet she still decided to dm me💀) I even made good friends with these two girls, in my head they became my besties! But dude!! One was 13 and the other 15!😭😭😭 tbh I miss them🥲 but turns out the 13yr old blocked me! How dare she! Like why? What did I do? We had deep conversations and everything! Maybe I offended her 😞 I also had deep conversations with this 14yr old Brazilian (well her bio at the moment says she’s 17 so I’m assuming she was 14 when we talked). I feel so bad cause I never saw/opened her message. Her last message was her talking about how ashamed she is to talk to people in English since she’s not fluent. Like girl noooo don’t apologize!! I should be the one ashamed! And I am!! My poor baby! If only I replied to make her feel better! But in my defense by that time I was already homeless so I couldn’t log back in and when a year has passed and I finally found a place I watched ysblf and got obsessed so I never went back to Twitter. I actually logged in just a few days ago and that’s when all the memories started🥲. Army Twitter 2020 was the best!

tumblr kept logging me out of my account when i was trying to read the newest chapter of the parking spots universe on my phone yesterday but now i finally read it on my laptop and have the time to praise your writing. Complementing you in bullet points so it’s an easier read :) 

The way the story opens with Venus being disgusted by khakis is so relatable. Every time I watch TGM, I always get scared of actually picturing myself being in the Hard Deck and having to be surrounded by that many military people. love the line “wasn't coerced by a recruiter to sell my soul to the US government" no shade at other writers but sometimes I would read a top gun fic that would praise the military way too much and it could put it off the story cause the US government does not need any more propaganda. Like I’m here to read stories about hot pilots. 

I love that Venus’s real name is Danica. That name always reminds me of Danica from season 8 of love island so I was so surprised when they started talking about Jess and Sammy from season 10. I hope Jess breaks up with Sammy soon cause I will never forget the way he kept calling her ugly in the earlier episodes

“It was strange at first-still was-how his Instagram that had once been only thirst traps workout pictures were now full of her and their adventures together.“ I know his ass is paying for more iCloud space to have more pictures of Venus standing in front of sunsets 

Every single Bradley shade is taking me out. “a Hawaiin shirt so ugly that no Dad at a BBQ would go near greeted her” & “Bradshaw finally moving his bigass head to reveal the person that made his heart soar.”  are my favourites.

I love their dynamic so much. The way Jake would always reassure her and make sure Danica knows that she deserves the best and the way she made his competitive ass want to stay at home and have permanence for the first time in his life. I get excited whenever there's a new chapter of this universe cause I get to reread the whole thing from chapter 1 and see their wonderfully written character development. Truly one of the best fic I’ve ever read. Thank you for writing and sharing it with us ❤️

i’ve just been catching up on your posts and why am i seeing people saying you’re leaving?!? 😭 but i’m so glad you clarified that you just need a break and i’m so sorry you have to go through that my love ♡ i just want to say if you really need a break then take it. you don’t have to write anything, and you don’t owe anyone anything. i think sometimes a slump is what we need to make us feel the yearning to do something that we love again because we’ll miss it eventually.

i guess may was a rough month for everyone. take your time to do selfcare for a whole week because may was an ass and i -too- wanna kick it in the butt for being the toughest and longest month so far. i know the ‘lack’ of interaction / appreciation for your writings lately can be discouraging and i totally get that. like sometimes it can feel as if a negative comment would be better than nothing, because at least ‘someone is acknowledging something that i made’. but i’m so happy so many people came to give you the love and support and it proves that you’re so loved and appreciated because your works really helped people to find comfort and have a peaceful time even just for 10 minutes of their (mine too) 24 hour long and tiring day.

oooh… and i want to tell you about a bit of my life lately… remember that i was going to yoongi’s concert and it was my first ever concert and you told me to forget everything except my ticket and powerbank? yea… my powerbank broke and i had to borrow this lovely lady’s 💀 i got a vip soundcheck and practically a barricade 🥹 i still can’t believe i got to see 1 of 7 of them right in front of my eyes 😭 i had so much fun and as an introvert -i hate crowded places so much and meeting so many people makes me anxious- i never thought i’d love concert as much as i did! but i’ll give it to yoongi and the lovely people i met, army 🫶🏻 because they’re the nicest people on earth istg. talking with armies online is so nice, but meeting so much of them in real life was soooo much better. the whole time i saw them, my brain just went “wow… we really love the same person / band huh. the tannies are so loved. i love it here”. speaking of concert… i got tickets for coldplay too! 😭praying that they will perform my univers live 🕯️🪐✨

and here we are in june! let’s have fun with tannies because it’s our month! i started this month still with a neverending college final project *booing and throwing tomatoes*. but i’m so happy because i finally found the type of pencil i’ve been searching for soooo long that i got out of my year long drawing slump… and i’ve been practicing again with drawing jungkook’s nose because i love it so much and i wanna *boop* it. and as i was sketching, i was watching the festa livestreams the whole day. a therapeutic experience :’] i miss them soooo much ❤️‍🩹

as i’m writing this, i’m eating unripe mangoes with salt and chili. reminds me of that drabble where jungkook, his abs, and oc went on a beach vacation ♡ OH! and the latest drabble!! i wanna be loved that way sooooo bad 🥲 and so steamy😮‍💨 and the bathtub scene… oh artemis i love how you can always always make the most out of the very intimate places in the house of lovers… the kitchen, the bedroom, and the bathroom. EVEN THE WALK IN CLOSET FFS. it’s just how good you are with what you do and you use your heart to dictate the words to your fingers.
