loser!ellie headcanons

✩ I haven't been able to get loser!ellie out of my head so...here we go. I love that this is basically the same thing as canon!ellie. Slutty thoughts at the end so mdni (18+) ✩

✩ I don't think she would be the first to make a move. She would do little, very subtle things like hold the door open for you and then panic because oh no that was too much! You're going to know!

✩ She would think she's being obvious, and she is, but not for the reasons she believes. Let's just say her brushing her hand against yours is not nearly as obvious as the way she follows you around and the way your smile makes her face turn red all the way to her ears.

✩ Speaking of her following your around, she is so unintentionally clingy, even before you get together. You would get up to go to the bathroom and when she realizes where you're going, she tries to play it off like she wasn't about to trail after you. When you bring it up to her, she's genuinely confused because no, she is not following you around on purpose. She would never do that.

✩ It would take her forever to realize you're into her, but when she finally picks up on it, that confirmation gives her confidence. She wouldn't be as afraid to make her feelings more apparent.

✩ Has such terrible rizz that it somehow comes full circle and makes her even more charming.

✩ She LOVES bossy, confident women. Ellie is not afraid to ask for what she wants, and she is definitely not the type of girl that would have you ask the waitress questions for her. But there's something about a woman that could put her in her place that she loves.

✩ At first, Ellie is always rubbing the back of her neck or playing with her fingers when she talks to you. She doesn't want to look like a dork, but she can't help it because you make her so nervous.

✩ She's literally the definition of a golden retriever masc. She's got the beat-up truck (that's actually Joel’s, but you don't have to know that), an outrageous amount of flannels, and carabiners to provide it.

✩ When she gets really excited about something, her brain moves faster than her mouth. She'll fumble her words and stutter. She gets really annoyed when this happens and has to take a deep breath and start over.

✩ She loves to rant about her interests to you. Don't you dare seem like you're not listening because she'll get really quiet and upset.

✩ I could see her having issues with being treated like "the man" in past relationships. It confuses her at first because she wants to protect her partner and care for them, but she also wants to feel that same love and desire toward her. She would be so drawn to you if you don't treat her any differently because of the way she dresses or presents herself. Obviously, she presents as more masculine, but she still wants to be treated like a woman.

✩ She has sooo many playlists. There are some about you of course but she also has some that are so highly specific. When you go on your first date, she has a playlist for picking you up and two different ones for dropping your off, depending on how it went. She definitely has the classic "depressed gay longing" playlist.

✩ She has exactly two pictures on her Instagram. One is her and Joel on his birthday and the other is a selfie she uses as her profile pic for everything.

✩ When you follow her back on Instagram, she loses her shit and starts fantasizing about what it would be like to be with you. She's screenshotting every selfie you put on your story and thinking about them in ways that are not very appropriate.

✩ She's the queen of "this reminded me of you" and will bring you literal rocks because "it looks like the whale from the aquarium we saw last week." Whether it's modern!ellie buying you little trinkets or jackson!ellie bringing you things from her patrols, she loves seeing you in all parts of her life. Even if you're not physically there with her.

✩ I love the pages of her journal we get to see in the game because they show us peeks at her internal monologue. They show us she is still very much the eccentric, starry-eyed girl we see in the first game. She's learned to hide it. Maybe to fit in or maybe because she's learned that wearing your heart on your sleeve can hurt. It's literally canon that she writes about her romantic feelings in her journal, so I think she would have little drawings and blurbs about you. She for sure has a stupid grin on her freckled face as she draws the highlights of your eyes and maybe even the dip of your hips. It's the only way she can think of to get you out of her head.

✩ She's an ass girl. She loves every part of you and will literally kiss your eyelashes if you let her, but she has to physically hold herself back when you bend over.

✩ I can't think of who posted it, but I remember reading something about Ellie fake fucking you when you're bent over and she would totally do that at the absolute worst times. You'd swat her away and look at her with a raised eyebrow, but there's no stopping her because she thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

✩ The first time you kiss is an out-of-body experience for her. She's panicking because she didn't think she'd ever get this far. She wants to touch you but she doesn't know where or what you would like, so her arms are stuck at her sides. She's 🧍until you grab her hands and move them to your waist.

✩ Has a huge obsession with your neck. Loves to leave marks if you'll let her. Will come up behind you and wrap her arms around your waist while leaving wet kisses all down your neck.

✩ I could see her wanting to be both the big and little spoon. It depends on the day and the context. When she's the big spoon she'll jokingly hug you so tight you can barely breathe and wrap all of her limbs around you like she's trying to suffocate you. When she's the little spoon, she likes it when you play with her hair.

✩ Is an absolute slut for you playing with her hair. She's an insomniac and it helps her fall asleep. When you're arm gets tired and you want to stop, she'll whine and pull your hands back to her head.

✩ She would be more comfortable topping and doesn't want to admit that she likes to bottom just as much. She's a service top that would do anything to make you feel good.

✩ Girly is so shy when she bottoms. She'll get all blushy and tries to cover her face with her hands/arms. She loves it, but it feels so foreign to her to have someone's sole focus be on her.

“So, what’s in Gyeongju-si?” Chan asks after putting his phone in his pocket, clearly annoyed with whoever was texting him.

“Lots of things. I did some research and it’s one of the places that students from the bigger cities like Seoul go to for multi-day field trips.” You go through your bag and pull out two big ziplock bags full of snacks, handing one bag to Chan. You know the trip is only 2 hours long, but you wanted to make sure you had all your bases covered. You even had another bag of snacks for the return trip.

"Is this why both of your bags are heavy? You're just super prepared?" Chan asks. He had to help you get your overnight bag in the overhead bin and grab your backpack when you tripped getting onto the bus earlier.

"Better to be over-prepared than underprepared." You shrug. You go back in your backpack and pull out a notebook and a pen.

"Okay, now what are you doing?" He laughs as he watches you flip through your notebook and land on a page filled with notes.

"I'm just going over the plan for this trip. A good trip is like a recipe, if you don't follow the directions, you're going to fuck up the entire thing."

"You're insane,"

"Says the man who blindly followed me on this trip without asking where we were going."

"I trust you with my life, Y/n." You turn your head to look at him, his face is scrunched in seriousness.

"And I'm the insane one?" You hum before going back to your notebook.

"Here, let me send you the link to the playlist I made for today so you can just listen to that and relax."

"You made a playlist? Is that why you asked how long it would take to get there?"

"Yeah,"

"That's cute, but I can't listen to that right now."

"Why not? Forgot your headphones?" He asks softly.

"Of course, I didn't. We're going to need my phone for a lot of stuff and the battery is shot to hell so I'm trying to not use up the battery. I have a portable charger but that's for emergencies." You sigh as add a quick note in your notebook.

"Here," He pulls up a tangled mess of headphones from his backpack.

"You still have wired headphones?" You scoff as you detangle the headphones. Chan takes them back from you and plugs them into his phone

"Only for when I'm working. Don't worry, I didn't bring my laptop. You have my undivided attention for 3 whole days." He beams at you.

"Let me see the playlist, dork." You put your hand out for his phone.

"Okay," He hands you his phone, watching you punch in his passcode. He gave it to you a while ago when you needed to send yourself a picture the two of you took together.

"Love the playlist picture. And that half of the songs are your songs." You joke.

"I know for a fact you like SKZ so I couldn't go wrong with just adding a few of them to the playlist."

"You made the playlist for me?" You freeze, your heart skipping a beat.

"My love language is music." He says simply like that explains everything.

"Your love language is all of them." You tease, trying hard not to blush as the heat rushes to your face.

"Shut up and put this in your ear. The cord is kind of short so feel free to put your head on my shoulder if you need to." He pats his shoulder, signaling you to lay on him.

"That would have been a good song to put on here."

"...Give me back my phone," He snatches the phone out of your hand and quickly types something in.

"Topher, I'm kidding, relax. The playlist is perfect." You laugh, putting a hand on top of his wrist.

"Fine, if you say so," Chan scrolls to the top of the playlist, "Give me a number between 1 and 10."

"8 is fate," You smirk.

"I should have figured," You watch as Chan hits the shuffle button 8 times and then puts his phone in his pocket as LOVE DIVE by IVE plays from the headphones. You close your notebook and gently lay your head on his shoulder.

"To-To, we're not in Seoul anymore." You say as you walk back to Chan after getting the key to your hotel room.

"Did you give my nickname a nickname?" He asks, picking up all of your bags. He insisted on carrying everything and threatened to start screaming if you tried to take anything when you got off the bus. He's playing dangerous games for someone who has to wear a hat and face mask to hang out with you in public.

"I've been using 'To-To' for weeks and you're just now realizing?" You roll your eyes as you two head for the elevator.

You two get into the elevator and you press the button for your floor. You stand quietly, double-checking the room number. The only sound is the quiet elevator music, an instrumental version of a song you know but can't remember the name of.

"Y/n," Chan asks suddenly.

"Hmm?" You hum, not looking up from your phone.

"How are you paying for this?"

"I'm a certified broke bitch, Topher. I know how to find deals and budget. Don't worry about it."

"Yeah, but--"

"I will confiscate both your phone and your wallet if you try to pay for anything other than souvenirs on this trip. I'm so serious."

Ding

"I just don't want you spending all of your money on me."

"If only you knew how much money I spent on merch and albums," You mutter under your breath, leading the way to your hotel room.

"What was that?"

"Nothing,"

You stop in front of the door to your room. You pull out the keycard and let yourself in. You take a deep breath before you push open the door. The door opens to a small room with two beds. You breathe a sigh of relief as you walk into the room. You sit on the bed closest to the door and watch as Chan walks in with a small pout.

"What's wrong To-To? Thought there'd be only one bed?" You tease.

"Shut up," He mumbles as he puts your stuff down in front of you and flops down on his bed.

"You're not getting lucky on this trip, Christopher."

"What if I told you I'm already getting lucky just by being here with you." You feel the heat rush to your face.

"I guess we don't have to push the beds together later then," You tease, fully intending to not push the beds together later but watching Chan's face turn red is worth it.

"S-seriously?" He stammers.

"No, To-mato, calm down. Nobody is defiling anyone on this trip. We're already breaking the first rule of the school trip by having a co-ed room."

"Defiling? What are you, an old woman?" He laughs.

"Don't play the age game with me, Channie. I will hurt your feelings."

"Love when you're mean to me. Go ahead."

"I'm reconsidering this entire trip. Just relax a bit. We're going to head out to get lunch and then walk over to the Garden of Morning Calm."

"Are we going to go to the folk village while we're here?" He says as he starts going through his bags.

"Yeah, we're going to spend most of the day there tomorrow."

"Can we rent hanboks while we're there?" He asks excitedly, bouncing in his spot from his bed. You can't help but smile softly at him, your heart pounding.

"If you want, yeah. This trip is for you anyway." You flop your back on your bed and close your eyes.

"We can do whatever I want?" He whispers, you hear him moving around on his side of the room.

"Within reason, yeah." You feel the bed dip down on the side. Your heartbeat pounds in your chest.

"I'll hold you to that," He whispers in your ear before pressing his lips into your cheek. You stop breathing, your breath getting caught in your throat. If you and Chan were playing a flirting game, he definitely won, just now.

"I-I...I'm going to get ready for lunch." You quickly get up from your bed and walk to the bathroom.

"Cute," You hear Chan say before you close the bathroom door.

You pull out the bottle of soju from your bag and walk back to your bed. Your wet hair sitting on your shoulders. Chan sits down on his bed, drying his hair with a white towel from the hotel.

"What's that?" Chan chuckles.

"Cheap soju," You hum, opening the bottle for him.

"Why?"

"The main part of a high school overnight trip is sneaking alcohol and playing drinking games." You say, handing the bottle to Chan.

"With one bottle of soju?" He questions.

"I have another bottle in my bag if you need it. But you're going to be the only one drinking so no need to bring a huge ass bottle."

"Why am I the only one drinking?" He quirks an eyebrow, taking another sip.

"I don't drink. So go ahead."

"I that's not fun," He pouts.

"I'll make it fun, don't worry."

"This game tisn't fair 'cause you're sober!" Chan slurs, making you laugh. He's on the second bottle of soju and you're slowly getting tired.

"I've lost the babo game a handful of times too. But you're out again, anyway." You laugh harder as he finishes the rest of his drink.

"Lez play somefing else." He hums. His face is red and he's been smiling so much, that you can't remember seeing his eyes not look like half-crescent moons.

"Let's go to bed," You take the empty bottle from him and put it on the side table between your beds next to the other one.

"Don' wanna!" He whines. You sigh as you climb off your bed and sit next to him.

"What do you want to do?"

"I wanna sta' up wif you and talk."

"We should go to bed so we can have a good day at the folk village tomorrow." You chuckle as he pouts, crossing his arms.

"One more game?" He pleads.

"What game?"

"Truth or dare," He sighs.

"Fine, truth or dare, Topher?"

"Dare," He smirks.

"I dare you to go to bed." You smirk back.

"That's cheating!" He throws himself back on the bed. You slowly throw yourself back as well, your head facing him and your hands resting on your stomach.

Chan's head turns towards you when he feels you lie down next to him. He's no longer smiling, his dimple gone and his eyes more open than they were before. Not completely, they're hooded like he's about to sleep. If you didn't know any better, you would have thought he fell asleep with his eyes slightly open and mouth parted. It's quiet, the only noise being the air conditioning that Chan asked you to turn on when the alcohol started to make him hot. You two just stare at each other for a moment, looking at each other's eyes.

You're still not convinced that he's actually awake. Not until his eyes flick down to your lips, causing your breathing to stop as it freezes in your throat. Chan slowly starts to lean in. You panic, not sure what exactly is going on. You watch as his face gets closer and his eyes close. He's inches from your face and you know he's going to kiss you. And god, do you want him to kiss you. But he's drunk and you're not. You quickly sit up seconds before his lips can touch yours.

"Let me get you some water before bed," You say quickly before going to your bag and getting a water bottle. Your face is so hot, there's no way you aren't blushing right now. You uncap it and hand it to the now pouting Chan. His mouth is in a full frown and his eyes sad. He like like he just watched you kick a puppy.

"You don't want to kiss me?" He asks softly, taking the water bottle from you.

"No! I do, trust me I do, just not now. Not while you're drunk. Not when you might not even remember it." You whisper quickly.

"I'd remember," He says before chugging the water bottle.

"Let's talk about this later. Okay? Let's just go to bed."

"Okay," You quickly turn around as Chan immediately starts to take off his shirt. You forgot that he sleeps without a shirt.

You walk to the bathroom and take the trash can. You walk back into the room to find Chan already lying down in his bed, facing your bed. You put the trash can next to his head and slightly rearrange his body. You can't be responsible if Chan dies from asphyxiation in his sleep if he chokes on his own vomit. After double-checking that he's fine, you shut off the light and climb into your bed.

Your back is flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling, as your mind races a thousand miles a minute. Chan was going to kiss you. Bang Chan from Stray Kids was actually going to kiss you. And you panicked. You rejected him. But if you hadn't, it would have almost been like you were taking advantage of his drunken state. You didn't want your first and possibly only kiss with Chan to be one that didn't count. One that only you remembered.

"Y/n?" You hear Chan whisper suddenly. Your heart starts racing again, unsure what is going on in his mind.

"Yes, Topher?" You whisper back, your throat strangely dry.

"Is that why you don't drink?" He asks. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion.

"Is what what I don't drink?" You turn on your side to face him. Not that you can see his shadowed figure in the dark of the night.

"Hero's Soup," You see his body move slightly from the light coming out of the window behind him.

"The song?" You prop your head in your hand, curious about where he could be going with this.

"No, not the song. I mean yes the song, but no. Like, the dad in the song. Do you not drink because of your dad?" He asks softly.

"...Yeah," You answer, moving once again to lay on your stomach, your head facing Chan's bed.

"I'll stop drinking," He says suddenly.

"You don't have to stop drinking because of me. It's fine,"

"I don't want to make you sad. Because I like you. Actually...I don't like you. I love you. I think I might be in love with you." He mumbles, your body turning cold.

"What did you say?" You ask loudly as you lift your body, sleep leaving every corner of your body.

Chan is quiet. For a moment, you think he got shy and didn't know how to respond until you hear a quiet snore come from his side of the room. He fell asleep. He confessed his love and fell asleep.

It takes every fiber in your being to try to not scream right now. None of this can be real. It can't be. Chan is an idol, there is no possible way he could be in love with a regular person like you. It's impossible. He's surrounded by so many beautiful and talented idols, so why would he choose you when he could have anyone else?

You lay in silence for the rest of the night as you try to fall asleep and not think about what just happened.

You stare blankly ahead, trying to process what just happened. Chan just kissed you. In the middle of the folk village. While the two of you wear hanboks. None of this can be real. It has to be a dream. There's no possible way that any of this is happening. People also visiting the village walk around you, like nothing happened. This can't be real.

"I...wha...but..." You struggle to form words. You're almost definitely short-circuiting, and it's all Chan's fault.

"I remembered," He says simply. His face is red from blushing and his dimples are making an appearance because of how hard he's smiling.

"W-what?" You choke out.

"You said you wanted me to kiss you when I was sober and not when I wouldn't remember. I remembered and I'm sober so I took my kiss."

"We're in public," You panic, suddenly remembering where you are. Anyone here could have seen. Anyone here could have taken a picture and uploaded it.

"I don't care. I'll shout it out right now. Everyo--" You panic and grab his face, pressing your lips into his, unsure of another way to shut him up.

You feel Chan melt into your kiss. You pull away and stare at him in his eyes. Stars dance in his eyes as he looks at you. This cannot be real.

"Be my girlfriend?" He asks softly.

"What is happening right now?" You question. Despite how real the butterflies in your stomach and the burning sensation on your face, none of this feels real.

"I meant what I said last night. I might have been drunk but I meant every word of it. I've been thinking about it for a while. And I know you have feelings for me too. I've seen you blush every time I say something flirty or get in your personal space. Plus, last night you said you'd kiss me if I was sober. So, be my girlfriend?" He smiles, his face still cupped in your hands.

"I must be dreaming. I've gone full delusional and now I'm imagining this--ow!" You pull your hands off Chan's face and the spot in your arm where he just pinched you.

"Guess you're not dreaming." He smirks.

"I want to be your girlfriend but--"

"If you say no because of who I am I will cause a scene."

"Christopher, don't you fucking dare," You warn.

"Then be my girlfriend. I've protected you so far, I'll keep doing it. Don't say no because you're scared."

You press your lips together and stare at Chan's pleading eyes. You want to say yes. Hell, you need to say yes. You've enjoyed talking to Chan the past few months and you'd be lying to yourself if you said you didn't imagine eventually dating Chan after all of the time you two have spent together. You'd be crazy to reject the man you like, who you might even love, just because of the fear of what would happen if your relationship got out. But even then, it's a justified fear. You've seen what happens to people who date idols. You've seen what happens to people who are rumored to date idols. You know your mental health couldn't handle the abuse that would come from those who claim to be his fans. But, something in you doesn't care anymore.

Listen before we start I know the lyrics have some undertones of unreciprocated love but it’s also very sweet. Idk I just like to imagine this as stsg right before they confessed to each other. (Side note: Geto would love The Police)(another side note: he’d also love Sting)

90’s itafushi! When I mentioned goth Gumi teaching Yuji how to dance, I meant the sort of strange but very simple and elegant sort of gothic dancing. Like smooth hand movements and shit. This song is perfect for that and perfect for them.

Reggie sighed as he clocked in, donning his vest. Overnight shifts were always the worst, but they paid more, so he took them on occasion. At least this way he didn't have to deal with customers, all he had to do was restock the shelves and take inventory.

"Hey Reggie!" Julie called as she clocked in. "Ready for an exciting night of work?"

He shrugged but offered her a smile. "It's better now that you're here. I was terrified I would be stuck with Brett."

Julie wrinkled her nose at that. "Ew, no one should suffer like that." Then she giggled, and Reggie joined her. Brett was a useless layabout who usually smelled of weed and made terrible racist jokes, so no one wanted to work with him.

"At least I get half the music choices with you," Reggie said, elbowing her. They had similar tastes, and had a playlist for whenever they worked together, a mix of the stuff they both liked, since no one else was working, no one else could argue about the music.

"Well crank it up and we'll get started," Julie said with a hip check.

With the music blaring, they got to work; first tossing out the spoiled produce, and taking out anything expired from the coolers. Rotating stock so the older stuff went in front as they put the new in the rear.

Reggie started on the inventory as Julie filled the shelves, then they switched the next aisle over, taking turns as they went to make the night go faster. Chatting as they went, about their upcoming senior year, their co-workers, their friends, and plans for university. The two of them had been friends for awhile, and had come to work here by coincidence, making their bond even deeper.

Being good friends also made it easier to get through the long night shifts together, even if they finished long before they were due thanks to how well they worked together.

"Wanna go chill in the patio furniture before we start on the cleaning?" Reggie suggested.

"Sounds good," Julie agreed, covering a yawn as they went. "Sorry, I should have napped this afternoon but Flynn was having relationship drama and best friend duties trumped my need for sleep."

"Ugh tell me about it, I have to listen to Alex whine about his ginormous crush on Willie more than I don't," Reggie replied. "However my nap plans got waylaid by Luke and his new bridge for Destination Nowhere."

"Think we'd get in trouble for sneaking in a snooze?" Julie asked as they lounged on the patio furniture.

"As long as we wake up in time to wipe the cameras," Reggie said. "Though you know Kenneth doesn't care as long as everything gets done."

"I'll set an alarm," Julie said, taking out her phone, yawning again. Reggie already had his eyes closed but murmured his consent.

This wasn't the first time they had done this-though they usually did so in the staff room where the cameras weren't, but like Reggie said, their manager wasn't a big harper for the rules given they had caught him napping amongst the holiday blow ups more than once.

They never napped long-half an hour at most, but it was a much needed refresher. Even if they were both a bit groggy when Julie's alarm blared.

"Alright, I'm up, I'm up," Reggie protested, rubbing his eyes.

"Five more minutes," Julie moaned.

"No way Molina, we gotta get the cleaning done then I propose we clock out early and go back to yours for a lengthy snooze," Reggie proposed.

"Why my house?" Julie asked as she stretched.

"You have a million couches and your family will let us sleep, unlike mine," Reggie replied.

"Fair enough," Julie said. "Let's get too, I can hear my bed calling my name."

Reggie nodded and they went back to work, leaving as soon as it was done and getting a quality amount of sleep once back at the Molina house.

Of course, they also forgot to wipe the cameras, and the next shift they were on, there was a screenshot of them snoozing printed out in the break room for them-surrounded by a big red heart and Kenneth's name signed underneath it. They both blushed, but decided that next time they caught him cuddling the stuffed animals, they were definitely getting proof as revenge.

Even if he was right about the heart by the end of the summer.

Well okay, Melody, just for you~ For the unaware, I do have a cat and her name is indeed Cleocatra lol. She's a 16 year old Ragdoll that I've had for almost ten years. She's floofy and she's loud and she takes up the majority of my pillow every night, but I love her. Here are some pictures (I have quite a lot so these were just some of the first ones I came across after scrolling through oodles of OM screenshots):

She insists on sleeping on my desk all day, so I got her a bed. One time she decided to roll around on my keyboard and she almost sent an error message full of gibberish to our IT department. Fortunately I was able to cancel the message before it sent.

Not Sims - Just Reign

So I binge watched the final 5 episodes today and... I am emotionally compromised. See below for my ramblings and how I attempted to make album art a decade ago.

If you clicked keep reading I'm going to assume you don't mind reading my rambles so I'm just going to indulge myself here. I need to process and getting it out helps me process.

I first saw Reign during my final year of High School and fell completely in love. Quite aside from English History being a special interest for me at the time, Adelaide Kane and Toby Regbo were so gorgeous. Honestly the signs that I'm bisexual were right there but it just did not click.

If you're my moot you will know by now I am a massive romantic. So of course I would get invested in the Mary Francis love story. Thanks past me for routing for Francis from the start, smart choice.

The outfits took my breath away, as did the wonderful landscapes. I fell in love with everything Mary wore and tried to find a graduation dress that was as close to something like that as possible.

The music! I loved every track they put with the episodes. Shout out to that one youtube channel that was posting full versions of the songs. I have a playlist with the music from the first two seasons and have listened to it on loop so often. There was a website that would post screenshots of the episodes and I would copy paste and make my own album art. Not to do anything with, they were solely for me to see when the songs came up on my iPod.

BUT I only watched the first two seasons before I took a break. History wise I knew Francis would die before they had a child, but the end of season 2 seemed to announce his death was approaching and my romantic self could not handle it. So over the next few years I rewatched the first two seasons plenty, and continued to listen to the music. I tried to watch season 3 in my first year at university, I really did. But things were different back then and I could only find low quality episodes because legitimate streaming services were in their infancy, if they even existed.

During my post grad diploma I would take a train part of the way to my placements. It was on the train that I happened to catch someone watching Reign on their phone. Not just any part of Reign either, the recap that shows Francis dying and Mary saying goodbye to the coffin. You bet any progress I had made towards being able to watch it was reset.

Following the worst of my depression, last year I began to feel a proper interest in things I love again and I wanted to see Reign to its conclusion. So I got myself the DVDs for season 3 (I don't have netflix, plus I like having physical copies of things) and worked my way through. Since I hate spoilers I didn't want to read the blurbs included in the cover so I never knew which episode Francis would die in, I was happy he was in it for so long. The whole plot with Francis having made Mary a sword for taking back Scotland made me love them all the more.

I gifted myself season 4, the final season, for Christmas. I've been watching it in bits and pieces. I have this thing where if something is ending I try to hold off the ending for as long as possible. But today I was so under the weather that I did watch the last disc all in one go.

Side note, Rizzio. I can't believe that actually happened! But wikipedia says it did. It really sounds like something a drama show would make up.

I've always known Queen Mary was executed for supposedly trying to kill Queen Elizabeth. I wasn't sure how Reign would tackle that. I figured they would do a flash forward or do that text over screen thing. I love neat endings but my heart could survive not seeing the end of Mary. I begun the final episode, saw Toby Regbo's name in the starting line up and immediately teared up. If he was in the episode then they were certainly going to show her death. Those end scenes, they made me happy and sad all at once. I loved that Francis was there for her, and I loved the flashbacks through their life together. Damn did it make me cry though.

The main characters have had a place in my heart for a decade. So heck yeah I'm grieving the loss. I know I'll watch it again, so it's not a permanent goodbye, but it's tough to see the end of anyway.

All about the 知足 ( Contentment ) audio recording : CPN + lyrics analysis 🎧

everything here is not 100% verified so don’t take it as truth. there are screenshots and speculations but this is not me confirming anything. interpret it as you will. the audio recording is floating around in other platforms but i won’t share it here.

There was a rumor before that after the 2019 DDU filming, they all went to a KTV to celebrate. That’s GG/Web as well as TTXS brothers and probably other staff. This is where this was sang and recorded. Allegedly.

Then in 2020, it seems like GG’s QQ account uploaded the recording. The run time is 1.18! 18! Yibo! and it’s in a playlist called 95. If you don’t know the importance of 95 to the fandom, read here.

After a short while, it was deleted even if people were able to like it and comment. This is the part I really can’t confirm cause I didn’t see it myself. Also we don’t know if it’s intentional on GG’s part and his team. Plus the fact that it was deleted says something. If you listen to the audio, it’s actually just GG you can clearly hear and Web very faintly. Considering the time it was uploaded (10/2020) tho GG had been coming back around this time, it’s still not a good move to have something out there that can potentially attract antis. People noticed Yibo’s voice so I think it’s one of the reason why it was deleted, to not bring Yibo to a potential issue.

2021, it made the rounds again because it was re-uploaded by fans. It’s just my personal stance to not share it in big platforms. I think it’s perfectly fine to keep a copy for yourself then listen and cry lol. We don’t know who uploaded it and why. If this was recorded during a private get together, I don’t think we should be listening to it. Tho how it was sang was so beautiful. 🤍 I will never wish to get a private recording of them audio or video when they are in a place where they are with friends no matter how much it feeds the cpn machine. I hope they can get the privacy they need when they are together and when they are with friends/family without being filmed and followed. Look at how people were following GG and his family in Sanya when he was on vacation. So yeah. There are things that we will never know and that’s fine. No need to dig.

2022, I think around 3AM ish, people were posting that it was re uploaded in Kugou Music ( a music platform kinda like spotify ) and the difference? The artists tagged are both XZ/WYB.

It was not uploaded by the boys’ artist account or anything. People rushed over to listen to it and save somehow because it may be taken down again. Lol. I honestly have no idea how this got that high on hot search. Is it a slow day today? But if you think about it, anything with XZ and WYB on it is bound to be talked about. It stayed there for a while so people just started using the HS spot for BAH and YGY. In BJYX ST, it was announced to not talk about CPN. Even if you look at entertainment blogs who shared it, most of the comments are saying something like — “it’s nothing~”.

I honestly like how the fandom handled this incident overall. I’ve said this before, there are times when we should keep quiet about CPN. This audio does not prove a romantic relationship or what. It’s an audio of them singing, that’s all. The last thing Xiao Zhan needs right now is a negative HS. Even if this is not exactly harmful, but well, if the whole CP is dragged into it then it’s gonna be an issue. CP things should be kept in our circle only. 🤍

About the whole “claiming” the music thing. I found this but I can’t verify how true. Or if XZ/WYB are even looking at this and giving resources to claim certain things.

What does Kugou Music claim work mean?

Kugou claiming the work means that Kugou has not officially obtained the copyright of the music and the music copyright does not belong to Kugou. Then, the user cannot play, download and listen to the music.

This requires the original author of the work to claim the music and grant the copyright to Kugou before users can play, listen and download normally.

I think this is why people are saying the boys claimed it because you can play it normally and download it. This is all speculation with “facts” that we have but the only “official” songs are the ones personally endorsed by the two.

Also this is the platform’s terms and conditions. You can study it if you want, but i’m not gonna think too much about that. It’s pretty obvious, the HS stayed and the track is still there as of writing. No clarifications of any kind was posted. There are things that these two do or don’t that prove how they have no problem being associated to each other once in a while. If they really hate e/o, then they can scrub everything out. Or have their fan accounts refute rumors or whatever. Lol.

Now that we have the whole CPN history out of the way, let’s do a mini analysis of the song and why they chose it. The song is bittersweet, which is their favorite type of track so that may be one factor.

Ah~ the good old summer breeze, that summer of 2018. Lol. not much to add here so I’ll just reference this post again. The song as well as how it relates to the Japan cpn.

I am interpreting this in XZ’s POV, since he was the one actively singing the song. I’m imagining that summer when GG was exposed to Web’s sweet smiles. This person who everyone said was cold/aloof, but turned out to always be the one who makes him laugh. who smiles at him. Even beyond that summer, the whole 2019 promos, Web was smiling at him.

If we’re working on the timeline that they fell in love that summer, GG is not sure how he can keep someone like Yibo in the long run. Their lives are too complicated and it must have felt like wishful thinking that they can have a relationship.

Nintendo 3DS Retrospective Part 3: A System's Function Continued

I hit the image limit on the previous part, and there's so many more screenshots I want to share with you all! I won't let the limit stop me from blabbing on!

Here is the third part where I continue on about all the system functions and other software I didn't have a chance to show in the other parts. This retrospective was originally one part, and then it became two, and then it became three....

Part 3 is under the cut!

Nintendo 3DS Camera

For the DS/3DS line, one of the main features is the dual cameras featured on the inside and outside of the system. To go with the camera, you need a camera application!

It is a simple application that lets you take photos and videos, and view them all. I used to spend a lot of time here, messing around with all the effects you could set and recording random videos here and there.

You couldn't record any videos on the DSi, so I went a little crazy with it back when. I still have all the old photos and videos I took, although the quality of the photos aren't that great.

It honestly feels like a downgrade from the Nintendo DSi Camera, as there are less effects and ways to edit your image. I miss distorting my images!

But it still was pretty cool to use.

Nintendo 3DS Sound

The DS/3DS line also had a microphone, so of course we need an application that lets you record voice clips and listen to music!

I loved recording myself. I would record the most weirdest of things that makes me wonder what I was thinking back then.

Let me list some of the highlights:

Me swearing very intensely for no real reason in particular, I think I just wanted to say “god damn piece of shit” while emphasizing the last part.

Me singing the beginning to Dragostea Din Tei because I really like this song.

Me singing the entirety of the English cover of A Female Ninja, but I Want To Love because I was really into Yandere Simulator for a bit.

My brother saying “asshole” over and over.

Me recording myself saying a garble of words when reversed, would sound like me saying “moving on the ground”, like Mario.

A whole bunch of calls from Stevo, my quail I used to have.

There is Streetpass, but I never knew how to use it back then. I still don’t know how to use it in fact, it won’t let me add anything to the Streetpass playlist in order for me to turn on Streetpass for this application.

Perhaps one day, I’ll be able to try it out.

Nintendo eShop

Even though it shut down a while ago, you still can use it at the time I post this retrospective.

I really love the eShop a lot. It had soul and our little shopping bag guy. I was there when the shutdown occurred, downloading any last games or demos I wanted.

It looks rather empty without everything...but I'm glad we still can access it and listen to the banger BGM! I always have a smile on my face when I come on here.

I used to spend a lot of time on here as a kid when I had access to the internet, downloading a whole bunch of demos and exploring what games there was!

One time, my dad put $50 into my account since he saw I was on it with his card. I remember being so grateful, he didn't have to put in any money!

I could have bought a single game, but I bought multiple smaller games since I went a little crazy. You can't blame kid me, $50 was a lot of money to me!

From memory, I bought:

Pokemon Dream Radar

Crystal Monsters

A Shaun the Sheep Episode Set

I wish I could go back to the heyday. It's crazy to think I bought these things over 10 years ago....

I love the Other Settings menu. I used to spend my time here scrolling through it all, seeing what each of the options did. The BGM makes me really emotional when I hear it.

Before the shutdown occurred, I spent over five minutes on this screen trying not to cry. It feels like a part of my childhood got stripped away without my consent. I know we still can use it, but one day....they will stop it too.

Face Raiders

I liked this game a lot! I'm surprised people didn't, I think it's rather charming!

This is my favourite opening animation, the faces sing in a row but the last one messes up and the others gang up on that face.

I used to play this a lot back when I got my red 3DS, since it was one of the only games already on the system. You take a picture of someone's face and then hit the shit out of it with balls over and over in various stages.

My favourite mode was "Share the Fun", especially the underwater stage. I know it was meant for someone else to try out the game, but I used to do it for myself!

Every time it would say to pass the system over to the other person, I would pretend to pass it to myself.

In the underwater stage, you hit someone's face over and over before it falls down onto the floor, with a new version of the face appearing when you destroy it.

I used to always challenge myself to beat my record.

I've never actually beat the final boss in this game, surprisingly. I have the Final Stage unlocked, but I never understood how to beat it. The whole laser thing went over my head, and I think it still does to this day.

I vow to beat it at some point!

Internet Browser

A very simple browser that had limited functionality, especially on the original 3DS line.

I didn’t really use it much when I was a kid, since I had no internet. I did like going on it anyway to get nowhere. I think I tried to use Youtube on here a few times, which didn't load any videos as you might have guessed.

I did log into Twitter before they removed the legacy support since it would have been a missed opportunity otherwise!

You can download images from here, which is what I used it for mainly! You search up the image on Google, view the full sized image and click on "Save Image"!

Not all images could be saved though.

They had to 480 x 480 or below and even then, it might not work for some reason. I used this feature a lot when I drew on Colors 3DS, so I could colour drop the colours I needed for an artwork.

You could put the image you need on the SD card, but if it doesn’t appear in the Nintendo 3DS Camera, you can’t use it in Colors 3D. I wish it wasn't so complicated.

It’s tough drawing on the 3DS.

Speaking of Colors 3DS, this is my opportunity to show the Colors Gallery I was talking about in Part 1! Tumblr limit will always be my enemy.

I love this gallery so much. It's a shame we won't ever see it on the 3DS again after the shutdown, but luckily...it won't completely disappear!

There is the Colors Live gallery online which has all of the 3DS artworks! It’s nice to see that nothing will disappear, although no new artworks will ever be uploaded to the gallery from the 3DS.

It's rather unfortunate. I did make my own account and uploaded some of the artworks I was proud of!

Friend List

You're probably wondering, why is the Friend List here?

I really like this part of the system, despite how small of a part it plays. You always go on it to see all your friends, add new ones and set your favourite title!

The BGM is a banger, I could spend hours listening to it without being bored of it. I love how they used your Mii inside this card, they would move and even have their own 3DS while you were playing a game!

I remember trying to add people as a kid but the other person didn’t have my friend code so I would be left with these blank cards while waiting for the other person to be my friend.

Once I realised they would never become my friend, I deleted them after a while. If you have a modded system, you can actually put homebrew software as your favourite title which I find really funny.

“I love the FBI manager so much that I should let everyone know!” - someone probably.

Game Notes

You're also probably wondering, why is the Game Notes here too?

I think it’s one of the functions people often overlook, but I used to use it all the time! You only had three colours you could use and only sixteen notes to draw on which was a bit of a shame.

As you can see above, I used it to draw whatever I felt like. Mostly just Splatoon and Pokémon.

Miiverse

It really is too bad it shutdown.

I didn't get to use it too much back in the day, but I'm glad I was able to use it a bit! I remember looking at everyone's posts and admiring all the wonderful drawings!

I even posted on there too, but I don't remember what I drew. There was an offline mode where you could make a post and save it for later to upload. I wish they kept it, just so we could experience it all again like before.

Swapdoodle

The lovely note application we all know and love!

I decided to make this my last title I'll talk about since I have a lot of memories with it. I used this to draw little notes for myself and my friends, sending them when I felt like doing so.

Nikki is the mascot who writes notes to you and teaches you all the things you can do, unlocking new features as you go. You can put up to four badges as an example, which I like to use a lot since I have many of them.

There was a store you could buy more pencil colours and new note backgrounds, but that stopped working with the eShop shutdown, unfortunately.

I regret not buying a pack or two.

We will never see this little notification appear again. I think it's a shame, but what can you do?

I wish Nintendo would keep supporting it, but all good things must come to an end. I never thought we would reach this point.

eeeEEEEE thank you so much!!! That's really sweet of you to say - I'm so happy that you're enjoying the story so far!!

This is honestly the first I'm I've even attempted to write anything of this length before, so I'm amazed it's been received so positively.

I am by no means a professional writer, nor have I taken any creative writing classes or been to any workshops, but I'll just let you know what I tried to keep in mind, as that seemed to work for me! Take this with a grain of salt, though :)

When I was in the midst of writing, I was absolutely hyperfixated. The story was literally all I thought about. I only listened to the playlists I curated for it on repeat, even when not writing or drawing concept art for it. It was honestly a little unhealthy lmao but it gave me the stamina and inspiration I needed to sit for long hours and just write.

First things first: I wrote a really rough plan of how I wanted all of the scenes to play out, color-coding the headings by perspective. I even gave each segment heading names that were eventually removed from the final draft of each chapter. For example, here are the perspective titles for chapters 2 and 3:

I'd put random keywords in there along with media references and links to concept art etc to jog my brain as well.

This helped me to keep overarching goals in mind when I actually began to write the chapters themselves. I also wrote everything in order - I never skipped over writing certain scenes. That might work for some people, but not me hehe

What's very important to note though is that as I was in the middle of writing each chapter, I simply wrote what felt right. If something seemed to just work better, even if it went against my initial outline, I would write that instead.

Additionally, I constantly assessed my strengths and weaknesses. I feel far more comfortable describing physical and emotional reactions than I do writing dialogue, so I would always pay particuarly close attention to the dialogue I wrote when editing. I would often read whole segments out loud so as to avoid as many cases of "he-would-NOT-fucking-say-that"-syndrome as possible.

Also, I would take frequent breaks. If a scene I was writing just was not coming together, I'd stop writing for a while rather than burning myself out.

I tried to take into account some advice I heard from somewhere else as much as I could, namely to balance descriptions of the environment with dialogue, both internal and external. I tried to catch myself whenever I noticed I was dedicating a huge, uniterrupted chunk of text to only dialogue or only environomental description.

Another thing: I like using figurative language. A lot. Probably a little too much. But I like being dramatic and artsy (a bit like my characterization of Hetch, I suppose), so I would include a lot of metaphors and similes within my writing. I feel like it helps to paint more of an abstract picture and let the reader fill in the gaps themselves with their mind rather than to give too many minute details, as that can get boring pretty quickly.

Lastly, I revised my drafts many times before I sent them to my beta readers, checking mostly for continuity errors, flow, and any grammatical/spelling errors. I'd often do my revisions aloud to myself, as I tend to catch more awkward sentences that way as opposed to just reading it silently to myself!

Hopefully some of that is helpful :) Honestly, the biggest piece of advice I can give is to just get out there and write. I didn't know I was capable of pulling this off until I sat down and did it. And, most of alll, I was writing more for myself than anyone else. In other words, I just had fun with it! I didn't really care if people would resonate with it, all that I knew is that I enjoyed writing it myself. Thankfully, that seemed to come across! I'm still blown away by how Unperson has been received so far. I'm really looking forward to getting the chance to get back to writing it again!

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

Ah, let me take this opportunity to say I damn near melted when you said in a recent set of tags that you like my titles!

The fics are generally titled before I write them. The screenshots in this post show all my current ideas, and those titles have all been set. Some of them are liable to change if I find more suitable ones [e.g., #22 if there's something still to take, there is ground to break], but others are set in stone [e.g., #40 i'll be the star (you can be the horrified one)]. Chapter titles are typically picked as I write or even after the fic is done.

Most of them are from songs; I listen to pop and rock, mostly. Some are from poems; there's a specific sort of poetry that makes me rabid. I tend to save lines I like to a file, and I have a playlist (a rather recent one, however) for it too. Good lines in general just get to me, and recontextualizing them with a story scenario in mind does nice, normal things to my sanity (lie).

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

I am a simple man who starts howling at the moon (this is a compliment) the moment anybody makes art based on or inspired by my fic, no matter what it is. Experience across fandoms has proven I'm very predictable this way xD

HOWEVER i will take this moment to talk about what i'm enjoying lately bc it sounds fun. (it got excessive so i'm putting it behind the cut)

listening to a lot of zach bryan, i like the ep he just put out a lot, especially nine ball and boys of faith. also listening to his live at red rocks album a lot, if it weren't nearly impossible i'd try to see him live. maybe if he plays the gorge or sth that would be worth fighting ticketmaster for mb

over this past summer my mom spent a couple months with my sister and the two of them made a mellow summer playlist that i am clinging to. it's way too long to screenshot the whole playlist and i'm not linking you to my sister's spotify if we're not pretty good friends, but here's a taste:

no blues by los campesinos! turnsturns 10 this month and i've been listening to it a LOT. i mean tbh tho i've been listening to it pretty much nonstop since it came out so. if you've never listened to los campesinos! 1) you should and 2) start with this album or hello sadness depending on whether you're feeling downbeat miserable (hs) or bad but optimistic (nb). once you're hooked there go to romance is boring (i guess i'd technically call this optional but you really should), and after romance is boring go to hold on now, youngster. from there you can explore their discography on your own. if you have any qs ask and if you prefer punk to indie go in the opposite order. i'm willing to tailor my lc! recs more personally if asked i want to be talking about this band literally constantly
