Notes: currently 3300 words in to the second chapter with promise to upload later on today. we’re going to be bouncing between the past and present this time around with eddie’s pov and whereabouts. but as a treat, here’s a sneak preview of the past:
"Why did you call me that?" Eddie looked up from the sofa he was sat on, hands fiddling with the bandana he was currently trying to refold to wrap around his hair.
Steve was stood in the doorway of the RV, arms crossed on his chest as he surveyed the rocker with a look of curiosity and bemusement.
"Call you what?" he asked, lips twitching just a little as he broke away his gaze out of fear of staring too long.
He couldn't help it, even with his new gear Steve looked like a God. The blood still on his face and his hair in a very messy array and scratches and cuts adorning him, it was hard not to admire how badass Harrington looked. And attractive.
But Eddie knew what he was asking, knew he had to have caught on a little to Eddie's teasing and flirting.
And jealousy.
But that was for later.
"You know what." he saw in his peripheral Steve look out towards the group before stepping further in and closing the door behind him. He walked closer to Eddie, arms still crossed in a defensive stance. "Big boy." he whispered, as if it were a curse word or insult and that someone was ready to step out and bash him a new one for even daring say it.
Eddie paused in his mission of tying the bandana and he fixed his wide eyes upon Steve's questioning ones. He remained silent for a moment, before a light smirk graced his lips."Because you're fun to wind up. I like seeing King Steve flustered and unsure of himself. You're also pretty when you blush." it was truthful, perhaps a little too truthful.
There was a fine line between a funny pet name and admitting you liked a trait. And there it was, blooming across the slightly younger boys cheeks. Dusky, pale rose like the early morning sun rise. "Besides, we're all about to die a particularly awful death and I'm determined to enjoy my last moments- because it's not every day you get a chance to flirt with Steve Harrington. Is that what you want to hear, pretty boy?"
It was true. If they were about to go down one by one, Eddie certainly was going to enjoy the last couple of hours of his life. A punch from Steve for over stepping the line was nothing compared to what was waiting for them.
Sinless eyes looked at him with further bewilderment and the glow of rose across his skin had grown more. "You think I'm pretty?" he spoke, his arms uncrossing as one came up to rub the back of his neck.
Eddie let out a scoff of laughter, rolling his eyes. "Of course the only thing you take out of that is the pretty remark. I'm not even surprised. You know you are, you literally oozed sex all over the halls of Hawkins High. If they didn't want to bang you, they wanted to be you. Stop fishing, now that shit ain't attractive." he replied, a little bit snappier than he intended.
But people like him lived off compliments. Like Tinkerbell needed applause, King Steve needed compliments.
Steve stepped closer, he was almost standing in front of him and Eddie had to force himself to tip his head to look up at the man. "No one's ever called me pretty before." he admitted. "Hot, attractive, sexy, handsome- that list could go on. But never pretty." he added, tone lower.
"You want a medal or something, Harrington? Get to cross another name off the list?" He was getting defensive. A mechanism he had adapted when those who flirted with began questioning his actions. It was all fun and games teasing someone, until they called you out on your bullshit and suddenly things were real. What did Steve even want from this?
"I don't get you Munson, I don't. For so long I thought you were just another overgrown man child weirdo with an obsession for make believe. But the past few days I've seen more behind the so called high school freak. You owed me nothing, yet you helped save my life. Without you, I'd be bat fodder and I guess- well, I don't really know what I guess. All I know is, I like you."
It felt almost like they were in middle school, admitting crushes for the first time. At least, that is what Eddie was taking away from this conversation.
"And Robin said that she doesn't feel it's going to work out for us this time. Which in itself is extremely dark and panic inducing but what if she and you are right? I mean, what are we really doing here?"
The energy had shifted into something indescribable, Eddie hadn't expected to see Steve look so vulnerable and scared. So used to the confident arrogance and strength he radiated to the group. Each moment he had found himself in the presence of Steve since Chrissy's traumatising end had surprised him. So many layers were unfolding each minute and Eddie found himself reaching up to take Steve's hand in his......

no but @amourbleue 's post abt them being seperated during the blackout got me thinking. it got me thinking loves. and I touched on it in my tags on her post but. eddie and michael being trapped together and buck and bobby trapped or working together.
Michael has been in a position similar to eddie before, closeted dad with feelings for someone who isn't who you're with. they get trapped somewhere together, elevator perhaps, and eddie's trying to get them out but nothing's working so eventually he and Michael just sit on the floor. eventually they get to talking, catching up, asking how eddie's recovery is going, how is david doing, etc. and eventually there's a lull and maybe eddie is thinking abt how buck's call is going since they split up for efficiency and internally he's going "man I wish I was with Buck rn" and gives a little sigh and michaels like "soooo who are you thinking abt to get you to sigh like that" and eddies like "oh, just buck. I was wondering what he's doing on his call right now" and michaels like "oh?" and eddie just starts talking abt buck and how he wishes he was out there with him bc he loves his job but he likes it best when he's at buck's side and he just wants to make sure he's safe and then he starts talking abt their family time with Chris and the entire time michael is sitting there like [knowing gay silence] and then he's like "so you and buck are....?" and eddie blushes bright red and goes "j-just friends, he has a girlfriend" and michael just hums and goes "but is that all you want to be?" and eddies confused and tilts his head and goes "what?" and michaels like "well it's just the way you talk about him, it sounds like you're in love with him" and eddie says "what? no that's-" and then a beat. "oh shit" he says shakily. and michaels just sitting there like "congratulations on your queer awakening" and eddie just leans his head against the wall of the elevator and goes "holy fuck I'm in love with buck" and then "that explains a lot" and then spills it all to michael and michaels like "eddie I don't want to be rude but. you're dense as fuck" and eddie puts his head in his hands and whines "I knooooow" and then kinda desperately "it's just. he's buck, how could I not?"
now for bobby and buck. bucks been ansty abt eddie being back at work bc he keeps seeing eddie falling to the street and bleeding out. bobby picked up on the anxiousness and can guess the source pretty easily. and now that they've split up to be faster, buck is a bit more jittery. not enough to affect him on the job but enough that bobby notices. so he starts talking "you know, when Athena came back to work last year after the incident, I was worried about her all the time. it was like I was tense all the time unless I had my eyes on her to make sure she was safe" and buck is like "ok????" bc he hasn't quite connected the dots yet, and then bobby goes "it's eddie's second week back, right?" and bucks like "yeah????? oh" and bobby just nods and bucks like "but that's different, athena's your wife, eddie and I are just..." "just what, buck?" "well it's...he's..." and he isn't quite sure how to put it into words and says "he's eddie" and they're chugging away and bobby j's considering his next words and then settles on "you remember what you told me after he was shot? that you were just the guy standing right in front of him that couldn't do anything to help him?" and buck nods. "well. that's how I felt listening over the radio with athena. I didn't have to wonder what life would be like without her, I felt it in that moment. and I knew I never wanted to live like that" and at this point bucks breathing has gotten a little unsteady, having nothing to do with the call, and he says "what are you trying to say bobby" softly, with a shaky voice. "you love him, buck." bobby says gently. "n-no, I can't I'm with taylor, bobby I can't be in love with him, I can't-" and he's breathing heavy now, and bobby goes "buck, you gotta breathe" and his breath evens out and he looks bobby in eyes, eyes wide as saucers and goes "oh my god I'm in love with him" and bobby just puts his hand on bucks shoulder and goes "I know, son. and I also know that you'll do the right thing about it." and they finish the call and make their way back to reunite with the team.
the second buck and eddie see each other coming, the both freeze. they stand. they just look at each other, maintaining eye contact. bucks breath hitches and eddies is shaky. everything around them stops and they think at the same time "it's him. it's always gonna be him" and then the moment breaks when bobby calls them over for another call

So, this is a little goofy thing featuring Arkham Knight Eddie and a female!o/c  that was inspired by an actual dream I had recently. Like, literally, the dream mentioned in this story is almost exactly the same.
It’s pretty short and I’m....not entirely sure it’s good but I dunno...I wanted to get that dream out of my head somehow and turn it into something positive so...here is this silly drabble.
Contains some smut and suggestive comments, but nothing overly explicit.
Words: 2104 Title: i'm best when I'm In love Rating: M (going with the AO3 smutty content labels here)
“My Dear, you’re struggling,” Edward said as he moved one of his pawns.
“Well, I have yet to beat you, Eddie,” Sara responded in a tense voice, letting out a sharp, frustrated breath.
“True, but lately, you’ve been performing much better than this. Right now, your tactics are sloppy, like when I first started teaching you.”
“Chess takes time to learn, right?”
“Correct, and you have the benefit of learning from an astounding genius like myself. However, your focus is not on the game, so no matter what I say, you’re still going to lose much sooner than you should.”
“It’s not over yet.”
Edward’s gaze moved from the chess board to Sara’s agitated expression, noting the almost pained look in her eyes as she tried so very hard to concentrate on the game. It was easy to see that she was becoming more panicked by the second, and whatever skills she had acquired from his teachings had gone out the window for the time being.
“No, but the way you’re tap, tap, tapping that Knight piece on the table indicates there’s a much more serious problem here,” Edward said.
Sara hadn’t even realized she was doing it, and quickly stopped once she looked down at her right hand. The Knight piece was given a much-needed break as she set it on the table and tried to gather her thoughts.
“Sorry,” Sara said, running a hand through her hair.
As much as Edward wanted for Sara to look at him, he knew how nerve-wracking it could be for her to make direct eye contact when she was upset. It did sadden him, though, that she had barely glanced at him the whole time they’d been together that day, and part of him wondered if there was something he did to make her uncomfortable -- or something he didn’t do. Both of them had a lot of pent up emotions, and while they were quick to unleash them when under stress, they were also terrible at asking for help or simply being vulnerable in general. So, he had to approach this cautiously.
“Where is your mind at, Dearest Devinette?” he asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.
Sara let out a little huff which was as close to a chuckle as she could muster upon hearing one of his (rather adorable) nicknames for her.
“I’ve just got something on my mind,” she replied, resting her head in her left hand as she leaned on the table.
“Obviously,” said Edward, rolling his eyes. “But what precisely is on your mind?”
Sara chewed on her lower lip as she pondered how to respond. It was stupid, she told herself, what she was thinking, what she had been thinking, and she was almost embarrassed to admit it out loud -- let alone to herself. Edward was not going to take “no” for an answer, though, nor would he believe any lie she could toss into his lap. She was a terrible liar to begin with, and he was far too perceptive.
“It’s about, um….” Sara began, her throat starting to clamp up as her heart raced in her chest. “It’s, uh, about...a…”
The need to “hide” was too great at that moment, and Sara abruptly stood and turned her back to Edward, bringing her index finger to her mouth to bite at the second knuckle.
“It’s about a dream I had recently,” Sara confessed, her mouth dry and her heart beating so loudly in her ears she thought Edward might hear it.
“Ok?” Edward said slowly, waiting for her to continue despite feeling a little impatient.
As much as Edward wanted to help his love, there was little he could do without knowing the details of what troubled her so. Being helpless like this -- being helpless at all -- always drove him crazy. He needed to solve this, but he also needed answers first.
“Well, in the dream, we were working together,” Sara continued. “At a job. At a company. We were programmers.”
“It sounds like a very tame dream so far,” Edward commented.
“We were on a project together, and we liked each other. You liked me. I felt so happy to be noticed by a guy, and I thought I had a chance with you. But then...things changed. A new programmer started working there, a pretty blonde woman who was really smart. Like, a natural. You suddenly stopped paying attention to me, choosing to spend time with her. You both looked very happy, had lots to talk about, and whenever I tried to get your attention, you would...brush me off. You even...removed yourself from the project we were working on so you could work with this woman on a different one. I was invisible to you after that, and very alone.”
Edward felt a mixture of frustration, sympathy, confusion, and hurt over Sara’s dream. It was pure nonsense, no doubt, in every possible way, but clearly, it had an effect on her. Insecurities could twist your thoughts and emotions in painful ways, ways that didn’t even make sense. But they tugged at you until you gave into them and believed what they believed.
He could relate to that, even if he wasn’t willing to admit it out loud.
Edward got up from the table and approached Sara, wrapping his arms around her from behind to hold her against him.
“Oh, my silly little riddle,” he said with a smile, trying to brighten her spirits in some way. “It was just a dream, nothing more.”
“But...would you ever…?” Sara asked, her voice cracking.
“Would I ever, what?”
“Leave me for someone smarter, prettier…”
“What? No! Don’t be foolish!”
Edward made Sara turn to face him, his heart breaking upon seeing her tear-streaked face.
“I’m not going to leave you,” Edward said, cupping her face in his hands so she’d look at him. “You are the only one I want to be with. That dream was absolute nonsense, My Dear. I cannot even fathom for a second the mere idea of choosing someone else over you…” He leaned in and nuzzled her nose with his, smiling sweetly. “...my favorite distraction, my Darling Devinette, my Ravishing Riddle...”
Sara snorted, a grin spreading across her face.
“My Endearing Enigma,” Edward added, relieved to see her giggling.
“The nicknames are killing me,” Sara said, wiping her face. “You’re goofy.”
“”Goofy? Goofy, you say?”
“Yes, and a total fucking nerd!”
“Oh, is that how it is then? Hmm?”
Edward scooped Sara up into his arms, humming contentedly.
“Well, this ‘Goofy Nerd’ is going to whisk you off to bed and physically  -- very physically -- demonstrate to you exactly how I feel.”
“Oh, my…” Sara said with a chuckle.
“I am going to make it so that you won’t be capable of coherent thoughts or speech,” Edward said with a smirk as he carried her to their bedroom. “You’ll be so overwhelmed with pleasure that the only thing you’ll be able to do is feel. No more negative, idiotic thoughts!”
“I’ll hold you to that,” Sara said, biting her lip.
---
“Oh, God, Eddie, there, please!”
“You’re so perfect, My Darling, so perfect…I can’t get enough...Oh, God!”
“What?”
“Oh, no, no, no...not now!”
Sara watched Edward sit up, one hand covering the lower half of his face. While she couldn’t see anything yet, she knew what was happening.
“Oh, Eddie,” she said, quickly grabbing tissues for him.
Edward took them and applied them to his bleeding nose, looking completely humiliated. Sara reached out to him, brushing hair from his face, but he jerked away, too embarrassed to even look at her. The poor man suffered from chronic nosebleeds, probably because his nose had been broken so many times (Thanks, Batman), and sometimes he got them during the most inconvenient moments.
“Let’s go to the bathroom,” Sara said.
She followed Edward into the bathroom, grabbing a wad of paper towels to hand to him for his nose. He threw the bloody tissues into the waste bin with a grunt, still unable to look her in the eye.
“I’ll run a bath,” Sara said as she went to turn on the tub faucet.
Edward’s nosebleed did slow while the tub filled up, but he still hated himself. Why did he have to have one while he was in the middle of…? With her? He was supposed to be making her feel good, not...bleeding on her. It was disgusting -- he felt disgusting. What kind of lover was he?
Sara tapped Edward’s shoulder, telling him the bath was ready. He mumbled something, tossing the blood-soaked paper towels into the waste bin before turning to her. Why did she have to look at him like that? Like she was worried? Why did she care so much? Why wasn’t she angry with him for ruining ‘the mood?’ Or grossed out? There was drying blood on her shoulder still, and yet, she didn’t seem to care.
Edward and Sara got into the tub with her sitting behind him. Taking a rag, she soaked it in the bathwater then handed it to him so he could clean his nose, lips, and chin of blood, and thankfully, the nosebleed had stopped by then. When she started to shampoo his hair, her elegant fingers lightly scratching his scalp as she hummed some random tune, he remembered the dream she had told him about. Once his hair was rinsed, he turned to face her, his expression full of guilt and sorrow.
“What’s wrong, Eddie?” Sara asked.
“This is just one of the many reasons why I could never want someone else,” Edward said quietly. “You’re so kind to me, so gentle...and I didn’t do anything to deserve it -- to deserve you. No one has ever treated me the way you do, no one has ever looked at me the way you do, no one has ever spoken to me the way you do.... I never realized how...how alone I was until I met you. I’d do anything for you, give up everything for you…”
Even my own life, he thought.
“So, please, never doubt how much you mean to me,” Edward said.
Sara was blushing, trying to come up with a response but too flustered to speak properly.
“I...I don’t know ….I don’t know...what to say,” she admitted, smiling shyly. “I’ve….never heard someone say something like that before…”
“You don’t have to say anything,” Edward assured her with a small, warm smile. “Just be with me.”
“Of course.”
Edward turned around so he could rest against her, his head on her shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him. While he was planning to finish what he started once they were out of the tub and back into bed, in that moment, he felt absolutely perfect where he was. All his life, he’d never had affectionate physical contact. Sure, there was the awkward hug here and there, or obligatory embrace when he had a lover (and there were very, very, very few of those), but nothing that was genuine or even remotely pleasant.
But in moments like this one with his beloved, he felt like he could be as vulnerable as he needed because she’d never hurt or humiliate him. When she hugged him, it was always warm and welcoming. Whenever she held his hand, she loved to lace their fingers together, almost like she was “trapping” him but in the most romantic way possible. Whenever she kissed him, he felt absolutely smitten because her kisses were so comforting or even playful.
“I love you, My Dearest Horny Geek,” Sara whispered, barely holding back a cute chuckle.
Edward rolled his eyes but smirked at her outrageously endearing nickname for him.
“And I love you, My Dearest Horny Enigma,” he replied, and they both couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Two horny peas in a pod,” she said as she placed a kiss to the top of his head. “And, you know, if you’re still up for it, you could put your ‘pea’ back in my ‘pod’ once we’re done with this bath.”
Edward slowly turned his head to look up at Sara, his cheeks a bright pink and his gaze full of bewilderment. When she snorted in amusement, he soon found himself joining her in a fit of childish giggles. And here she had been worried he would fall out of love with her. No one could make him laugh or grin like he did. No one could make him feel loved and needed like she did.
Only her.
What a lucky little shit he was….
----
And there we have it! Hopefully it’s not too crappy. I’m not totally satisfied with it but don’t feel like making it a longer story (at least, not right now). Let me know what you think and damn, I have really depressing dreams sometimes.

The One Who Holds You Owns Your Bones
Tumblr media
You could say that this all started when Richie's teacher discussed rightless omegas. You could also say this started the day Richie presented as an alpha. ~ In a world where omegas are sentenced to rightlessness instead of prison, Richie is willing to do anything to keep Eddie by his side.
Read on Ao3
Richie really liked being an alpha. And it hadn’t been a shock to anyone when, on his 13th, Richie presented as one. For some people, it wasn’t obvious which second gender they’d present, as for him, it had been as clear as day since he was a little kid. He wasn’t complaining, he loved being an alpha. Who wouldn’t love it? Being a male alpha meant that he was the top of the food chain, the best of the best.
It also wasn’t a surprise that Eddie had presented as an omega. Which put him at the opposite end of the food chain, a male omega was nothing to aspire to be. Eddie Kaspbrak was the only male omega in Derry - and one of the few omegas overall. Over the years he had started to become accustomed to it. But Richie knew that he still wished to be, well, anything else.
Even if Eddie didn’t like being an omega, Richie loved it. He loved that Eddie was an omega because after all, weren’t omegas designed for alphas? They were made for each.
He could still clearly remember how he had gone to Eddie’s house early on his 13th birthday only to find him sobbing silently in his bed. He had refused to go to the party their friends had set up. He’d begged Richie not to make him go. Richie hadn’t, instead he climbed into bed with Eddie and let him cry. But the idea of ordering Eddie never left his mind. Yes, he had acted on it but only ever in little ways. Like getting Eddie to get him a drink or to cuddle with him.
Sure, he’d set certain rules and such. But never had Richie ordered Eddie to do something he knew that Eddie wouldn’t like. Why would he? No, Eddie didn’t mind their dynamic.
One of the best features of Eddie being an omega were the outdated laws that surrounded society. There were protests and groups trying to change how omegas were treated, and Richie didn’t exactly disagree with them. Sure, he didn’t think that omegas deserved some of the shit they went through. But, then again, if omegas were granted the same rights as betas or alphas, then Richie and Eddie wouldn’t have been able to do a lot of the things they had already done.
Like how people couldn’t legally mate-mark until they were eighteen. Unless it was an alpha and omega pair. Which dropped the age of the youngest partner down to sixteen. Which was exactly what happened with Richie and Eddie. God, Richie could still remember Bill’s horrified face when the two of them had walked into his house on Eddie’s 16th. How all of the Losers had yelled at Richie while Eddie had just shrugged and said that he was fine with it.
If the protesters had gotten their way, Eddie and Richie would have had to wait another two years. Richie could see why the protesters wanted what they wanted, but he and Eddie were perfectly happy.
“See you after class?” Eddie asked, like every week.
Richie kissed his forehead. “I’ll come and get you.”
The two of them were standing outside of Eddie’s class. That was one downside to them presenting; they had different second-gender classes. Every Thursday for two hours. It had always been so funny watching Eddie get flustered as the teacher talked about sex and reproduction when they were twelve. But now, at seventeen, Richie had to drop Eddie off and then go to his alpha class like he had been doing since they were fourteen.
He’d always wondered what went on in the omega’s room. There were only twenty omegas across all the school years which meant they all shared a class. That was versus the twenty-odd alphas in Richie’s class. The three alpha Losers, himself Bill and Bev, all had different classes and had done every year. Something about the school not wanting to put alphas of the same ‘pack’ in the same alpha class.
Richie hadn’t really paid attention when he was told. Too busy slightly panicking about the fact that he and Eddie would be on opposite sides of the school. Sure, he understood that they were far away for the omegas protection and he liked that a lot - but he still didn’t feel comfortable being so far away from Eddie. He was fourteen, his hormones were wild and demanding that he protect Eddie, it had been a big deal. Beverly had called him psychotic.
“Rich?”
“What?”
“I said that you’re going to be late.”
“Probably,” Richie shrugged. Eddie rolled his eyes, one of the younger omegas walking into the classroom. The omegas always watched them. Eddie had once said they were jealous of the two of them. Richie found it cute. “Teach doesn’t give to shits, he’s got bigger problems to deal with.”
Eddie laughed, “alphas.” Richie pinched his side causing him to laugh again. “Well, my teacher does care if I’m late so go. I’ll see you after class.”
“Love you.”
“I love you too.”
Another omega waved at Eddie, causing Eddie to give Richie’s hand one last squeeze before he took off after her. Richie waited until he couldn’t see Eddie anymore. Their omega teacher, and the security guard down the hall, would keep him safe until Richie could get back to him. He’d be fine. They’d talk about how omegas actually do deserve respect and how they make babies and then class would be over and they could head to maths together.
“Settle down please,” the teacher ordered as Richie walked into the room. The teacher, a dick of a man, looked over to him. “Ah, Richard, I thought you weren’t gracing us with your presence today.”
“Had to go and woo the omega’s teacher. You know how it is.”
“Sure.”
Giving a little mock salute, Richie went and sat down at the back of the room. Richie almost never listened in his alpha class. It was the same shit every year: don’t abuse your mate, don’t knock an omega up, this is your rut, this is a heat, as alpha your job is to look after your mate and pack. Boring shit. He knew how to be a part of a pack, he was in one. He knew what a rut was, he had them. And he was the only alpha in the class who knew how to handle a mate because he was the only one who had one. Besides, the omegas got lessons on alphas as well, and Eddie always paid attention to this kind of shit.
“We finished reproduction last week-” a few of the students hooted “-thank you. So this week we’re doing a one-off lesson. We’re going to be talking about a rightless omega.”
Richie’s attention perked up. This had never been covered before. He only knew the very basics, it was when an omega did something illegal or some shit like that. And it wasn’t something that was talked about in society. Taboo or whatever. He also knew that some people were super opposed to the whole idea. Perhaps Richie would actually listen to what his teacher was saying.
“Hopefully this isn’t something that any of you have to experience in your life, as it is not something that any person - omega or alpha - aspires to. Does anyone know what a rightless omega is?”
A few kids put their hands up. Richie didn’t.
“Isn’t it when an omega breaks a law. And, if they’re mated, they don’t go to prison.”
“Sort of,” the teacher nodded. “It’s when an alpha-mated omega breaks the law and their alpha chooses to keep them instead of sending them to prison. It was a lot more common before I was born, but now that omega-rights are becoming a talking point a lot of alphas chose to send their omegas to prison instead. But, it does happen, that an alpha chooses to keep their omega rightless. When this happens, as the name suggests, all rights granted to the omega class get stripped from the particular omega for a certain amount of time.”
Richie was actively listening now. He had never thought about Eddie like that. With no rights, completely dependent on him. It was interesting, to say the least. He had to wonder how Eddie would respond. Would he become submissive to Richie quickly or would he fight it every step of the way? Honestly, Richie could imagine either.
He doubted that Eddie would ever do something illegal so he couldn’t think of a time that he had thought about it. Eddie wasn’t exactly the kind to go and murder a dude. But the questions sat at the back of his mind. Would Eddie rather go to the prison or stay with Richie? He must prefer to stay. It wasn’t like Richie was an alpha-supremacist or anything, he wouldn’t abuse Eddie just because he could.
“So they’re like a kid?” A girl that had once spat on Bev asked.
Their teacher shook his head. “Worse than that. They have zero rights. Their alpha could kill them and the alpha would be protected under law. A rightless omega isn’t allowed to go outside by herself without permission. The alpha has complete control over their mate. On the flip side, they have to do everything outside the home for their omega.”
“Why?” Some kid called out.
“Why what?”
The kid shrugged, “why would an alpha choose to keep their omega? Sounds like a lot of work.”
“Who doesn’t want complete control over someone?” One of the doucheir alphas answered.
“It’s not just sexual control,” their teacher replied and a few of the students giggled. “As alphas, you're prone to that side of things, yes. But this is a commitment that extends beyond the bedroom. Your omega wouldn’t be able to go grocery shopping without a written note explaining that they have permission. That’s a lot of work on your head.”
The first kid called out again, “so why would anyone choose that?”
“Yeah,” another one called. “I couldn’t imagine having to deal with all that just to keep an omega.”
Richie made a face to himself as the kid talked. It was painfully obvious that no one else in this class was mated to anyone. They had no idea what it was like. Richie loved Eddie, their entire lives he had loved the boy to pieces, but when they had mated it was something different. There was more to it that the kids in his class couldn’t understand. The love had shifted into something so much more potent.
“Richard,” the teacher called, gesturing to him. “You’re the only one in here with an omega mate. And clearly you have thoughts on the matter, judging by your face right now. Would you choose to keep Mr Kaspbrak as a rightless omega or send him to prison?”
This was something Richie hated about this class. His teacher always asked his opinion on topics because he had already mated an omega. It was really fucking annoying. He shrugged and answered solely because Eddie didn’t like it very much when he acted up. He answered truthfully as well. No point in lying. “I’d keep him.”

Oh??? You would like some asks based on things hmmm? Well, Ollie, please tell me... what WOULD Happen if Sonia walked in on Stan and Eddie? :3c
Ok. You goober.
So Sonia leaves for a few weeks on some sort of trip, and Eddie and Stan have been dating for a bit, but like since Stan lives with his parents too, they have no real privacy. So when they find out Sonia is going to be gone, they take FULL ADVANTAGE, and Stan pretty much moves in for the time. And like, it’s Sonia, so she probably catches them because she comes home early.
On the particular night Sonia comes home, Stan’s probably three fingers deep into Eddie’s ass, making him squeal and cry, and Sonia panics and thinks he’s getting hurt. She rushes up the stairs and bursts in his room.
And then chaos.
“Eddiebear! Eddiebear, are you ok?” She calls as she comes in, eyes wide. “What the-”
Stan pulls his fingers out of Eddie, and scrambles to grab anything to cover up his nudity and Eddie is tugging at the sheets.
“Sonia! Get out of here!” Eddie growls, cheeks burning.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Stan mumbles as he grabs a pillow to cover himself and his pants. He backs up against a wall, holding the pillow in front of himself.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” She yells at him. “You disgusting little shit! Get out of my house! Tainting my son.” She goes to Eddie. “Are you ok? Did he hurt you?”
“Sonia. Do not. Fucking. Touch me. Or I swear to God,” Eddie says as he manages to tug the sheet over himself.
“Just tell me if he hurt you! That’s-”
“He didn’t hurt me, Sonia. I wanted him to do that.”
“You- What?” Sonia asks.
“Sonia, now is not the time to explain gay sex to you. Get out of my room,” Eddie says.
“But-”
“No, Sonia. Get out. Just- Just get out!”
She’s so flustered she leaves the room. As soon as she’s gone, Stan scrambles for the door and closes it.
“Oh my fucking-” Stan starts.
“No time. Get dressed. We have to get out of here.” Eddie gets up and tugs on some pants, not even bothering with underwear. After they tug on their clothes, Eddie grabs the keys to his truck, and they rush down the stairs. Sonia is waiting by the door.
“Get out of the way,” Eddie growls. He stands between Sonia and Stan, his heart pounding loudly in his chest.
“No,” she says simply.
“Sonia. Let us leave.”
“This is- You can’t do this under my roof.”
“Ok. Then let us leave,” Eddie insists.
“No.”
“You don’t want us here, I get it-”
“I just don’t want him here,” Sonia says.
“I’m not leaving without Eddie,” Stan says. Eddie gropes for his hand.
“Stanley Uris. This does not concern you.”
“He’s my boyfriend. It does concern him. Let us leave,” Eddie says.
“You can’t have a boyfriend while you’re living under my roof.”
“Ok. I’ll move out.”
“Ha!” Sonia yells. “And where do you think you’ll go? You have no money, no job. You have no where to go.”
“Sonia, shut up,” Stan says. Eddie looks back at Stan, eyes wide. “Just stop. Eddie is a grown up. He can make his own decisions. You treat him like he has no idea how to take care of himself, but you’re the one who faked a fucking stroke so he would come home. He had a job, he had an apartment, he had a life, but he gave it up to come take care of you, when you don’t even need to be taken care of. You’re just a sad, needy woman who has no idea what it means to have a healthy relationship with anyone. You’re so afraid of being alone, you manipulate and lie to your son about a serious medical condition.” He shakes his head and squeezes Eddie’s hand who squeezes back tightly. “You wanna know where he’s gonna go? He’s going to go to my house, and he’ll be fine. In a few weeks we’ll move to Georgia, and he’ll never have to see you again.”
“Georgia?” Sonia asks. “What-”
“Oh, you think he’s going to stay here forever?” Stan laughs. “This town doesn’t deserve him, Sonia. You don’t deserve him. Now, please. Let us leave.”
Stunned, Sonia moves enough for them to slip by. They step out into the summer night and rush to Eddie’s truck without their shoes and take off before Sonia can pull herself together. They go to Stan’s and sit outside for a long time.
“Did that just happen?” Eddie asks after nearly a minute of silence.
“Yeah,” Stan says. “I’m sorry I told your mom about Georgia.”
“It’s ok,” Eddie says. He rubs his face. “Jesus. Are you sure your parents are going to be ok with me staying?”
“Absolutely, you know they love you,” Stan says.
Eddie kisses Stan’s cheek.
The front porch light comes on, and Andrea comes out. She sees Eddie’s truck and comes down the path.
“You two ok?” She asks as Stan rolls down his window. “Sonia just-” Andrea looks between her son and Eddie and just starts laughing. Eddie knows they look ridiculous. Wild sex hair, clothes all crumpled, and many of their hickeys out for anyone to see.
“Hey, you wouldn’t be laughing if your mom walked in on you and dad,” Stan says smiling.
“If my mom walked in on me and your dad, I’d probably die twice. Once because that would be the most embarrassing thing ever and another because she’s dead and I’d be haunted by a ghost,” Andrea says. She clears her throat and really looks at them. “Seriously though, are you ok?”
“Yeah, we’re ok,” Stan says.
“My mom-” Eddie starts.
“You can stay with us until you guys leave,” Andrea cuts him off. “You know you’re welcome here any time. I just have one request.”
“What’s that?” Eddie asks.
“No sex.”
“Fair enough.” Eddie sighs. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, Eddie. Be quiet when you come in,” Andrea says. “Donald is still asleep.”
“Ok, mom,” Stan says.
“Good night, boys.” She walks away, and Stan lets out a sigh of relief.
Stan looks at Eddie and laughs a little. “At least we’re spared my dad tonight.”
“I can’t believe that happened,” Eddie laughed.
“It’s gonna be ok,” Stan says. “Let’s go take a shower and try and get some sleep. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a long day.”
Eddie nods, leans over and kisses Stan, and follows him into the house to take a shower.

The healing process had been long and painful for Head of Security Evan Buckley. During the first week he had to refrain from moving quickly to avoid the painful tug of his stitches. His side ached at random times and he found it difficult to bend and turn his body in certain ways. He wasn’t even allowed to pick Christopher up or bend down to hug him and that in itself was the worst part of it all. The attempted assassination that had him bedridden on medical leave had happened two and a half weeks ago and Buck was nearly completely healed, albeit still a little tender and sore. Some days were worse than others, especially because Buck kept pushing himself in order to get back to how things were before. He desperately needed to get back to his job, to get back to protecting Eddie and Christopher— even if it meant that they had to continue living in secret (something that was proving to be increasingly difficult). He was distracted from his thoughts when familiar strong arms wrapped around him from behind and settled lowly around his middle.
Eddie lowered his chin down onto Buck’s shoulder and tilted his head to press a kiss to the crook of his neck. “You okay?” he asked into his skin, his eyes moving to look at their reflections in the mirror Buck had been staring into.
“Yeah, you know me, just want to get back to the team,” Buck said, resting his hands on Eddie’s arms and leaning back into him.
“Why don’t we go out for dinner tonight? Just you and me,” Eddie suggested, smiling softly at his boyfriend’s reflection. “To get your mind off of everything. You’ve been working so hard, you deserve it,” he said, dipping his head down so his face was pressed to Buck’s shoulder.
“That sounds nice,” Buck nodded, mulling it over for only a moment before he determined that it was a wonderful idea. “But unfortunately it won’t just be us, with secret service and all,” he laughed softly.
“Don’t worry about it,” Eddie smiled, lifting his head. “Reservation is already made and the restaurant will be cleared out. Hen and Chimney will be inside with us but where we won’t see them and Bobby and Athena will be manning the perimeter,” he said.
Buck raised an eyebrow and turned his head slightly to look at the side of his face. “You have this whole thing all planned out,” he noted, a bit suspiciously.
“I just want you to have a nice and relaxing time,” Eddie admitted truthfully, “I hate seeing you overworked,” he said, pulling away when Buck turned around in his arms.
“Hey, I’m relaxed with you no matter what,” Buck said softly, resting his hands on Eddie’s forearms. “I don’t need anything special to feel that way, I just need you,” he whispered.
Eddie smiled softly and gently pulled him closer, raising his hands to cradle his face and pull him in for a kiss. “I love you,” he whispered, pulling away only mere centimeters to utter the words to the love of his life. He knew Buck didn’t need anything but he wanted to do something special. Plus, he had a grander, ulterior motive for the night.
“I love you too,” Buck smiled, leaning his forehead against his and keeping his eyes closed even though he knew Eddie was undoubtedly looking at him.
“You’re tired, why don’t you try and get some sleep while I take care of some work things?” Eddie suggested, reluctantly pulling away but still keeping his hands on him.
“I’m fine Eds,” Buck assured, rolling his eyes but backing up to plop down on the edge of the bed with an exaggerated huff regardless. “I’ve been healed for a while,” he tried to reason.
“I know,” Eddie said, moving with him and pushing his shoulders back gently to get him to lie down. “I can tell when you need a break though, don’t forget. And I can tell you’re tired,” he said, stroking his hair back.
“M’not tired,” Buck pouted but his voice was slightly slurred and his eyes were already fluttering as he held onto the covers Eddie pulled up for him.
Eddie smiled endearingly, bending down to press a kiss to his head, right at the top half of his birthmark. “Sure you’re not honey,” he teased, biting his lip to keep himself from smiling too widely.
“M’not,” Buck protested, turning onto his side to press his face into the pillow, his eyes already closed and his mouth open slightly.
“I swear sometimes you’re worse than Christopher,” Eddie scoffed to himself, adjusting the covers around his sleeping boyfriend to tuck him in again, his hand lingering on his shoulder for a moment before he pulled away altogether with a soft smile, leaving the room and shutting the door behind him with a quiet click.
“He asleep?” Bobby asked, coming down the hall for his rounds.
“Out like a light,” Eddie confirmed, nodding triumphantly.
“Good, he needs it,” Bobby nodded approvingly, features breaking out into a smile as he and Eddie walked towards the oval office. “So, how you feeling kid?” he asked.
Eddie glanced at him and laughed heartily, shaking his head in disbelief. “Honestly? Pretty nervous,” he admitted. “I mean I know Christopher is so excited, I have Maddie’s blessing and yours and Athena’s, Hen and Chimney are telling me I’m slow and should’ve done it awhile ago, and trust me I know. I’m more than ready to spend the rest of my life with him but that doesn’t make me any less nervous about asking,” he rambled, taking a breath of air when he was finished.
“I get it,” Bobby said, an endearing smile on his face as he looked at his future son-in-law scrambling for words and flustered. “We all know he’s going to say yes and you do too but there’s still a little part of you that’s terrified of the small possibility that he might say no,” he said simply, summarizing Eddie’s fears. “Eddie, that’s perfectly normal, hell, I was the same with Athena. I started rambling about life and she cut me off saying yes when I thought she might say no. Turns out she was just in shock, is all,” he recounted, laughing by the end of the story. “My point kid,” he continued, setting a hand on Eddie’s shoulder, “is that my kid is going to be over the moon when you ask him.”
Eddie seemed to relax at his words, his features softening as he looked considerably relieved. “You think so?” he asked hopefully, his voice suddenly small.
“I know so,” Bobby nodded assuredly, clapping Eddie’s shoulder. “Now you have a country to run and I have rounds to make,” he said with a smile, patting his shoulder again before walking down the hall.
Eddie laughed and smiled, shaking his head when he realized that he really should’ve expected it. With the nervousness receding, he made his way to his office in order to finish what he needed to do before they went out tonight.
***
“You look amazing,” Eddie smiled, leaning against the doorframe and buttoning the cuffs of his dress shirt as he watched his boyfriend button his shirt up and fix his hair.
“Not too bad yourself,” Buck quipped in return, look at him in the mirror with a wide smile of his own before turning around. “Ready to say goodbye to Chris and head out?” he asked, his words laced with excitement.
Eddie beamed when Buck mentioned his son, always amazed at how he treated him and thought of him like his own. He knew he loved Christopher to death and that Christopher loved him back equally as much and that made his heart clench and soar. “Ready,” he nodded, extending his hand to take Buck’s when he got closer, the two of them walking to Christopher’s room, knocking on the door before entering. “Hey kiddo,” Eddie smiled, sitting on the edge of the bed and ruffling his hair.
“Hi dad,” Christopher beamed, leaning into his touch automatically. “Look! Aunt Maddie and I are playing firefighters!” he practically squealed, overjoyed at the games because he had developed an obsession with firefighters and anything firefighter related, particularly their trucks.
Buck gave his sister a quick hug when he entered, bending to do it properly since she was seated at the end of the bed with toys scattered all about. Christopher loved playing with his Aunt Maddie after all. Buck always found it endearing when he called her that because that meant Christopher thought he was like a second father and the thought made his heart swell with pride and joy. He really hoped that someday he could officially be that for him. “You two having fun?” he asked, pulling away and sitting on Christopher’s other side.
“Christopher here is a natural, a true hero,” Maddie smiled, looking at the eight-year old warmly.
“Just like Buck!” Christopher exclaimed, smiling at Buck and leaning over to give him a hug too after hugging his father.
Buck thought it was very possible that he may have a heart attack in that moment from the sheer joy he experienced from Christopher calling him a hero. “You’re my hero, kid,” he beamed, pressing a kiss to his hair and hugging him back before he let go.
Eddie watched the scene with an almost dream-like gaze, blinking to snap out of it before he became too enamored by the two of them.
Maddie smirked when she saw Eddie’s expression of adoration and awe. She felt like she was intruding on a private moment in all honestly but the whole ordeal was very endearing and made her humor the idea of having kids of her own with Chimney. They had said “someday” and maybe that someday was coming soon.
“Well Christopher, Buck and I have to get going but we’ll be back tonight, okay? You be good for Maddie,” Eddie smiled, brushing his hair back from his head and dropping a kiss to his hair before standing up.
“See you later alligator,” Buck said with a laugh, standing up as well and ruffling Christopher’s hair.
“Okay, bye dad, bye Buck,” Christopher smiled, turning his attention back onto his toys as he moved the firetruck and made the noise of a blaring siren.
“I think we can handle the crisis here, you two have fun,” Maddie laughed with a teasing smile, gesturing to the medical emergency currently happening on the bed.
“Thanks Maddie,” Eddie said, shaking his head.
“Bye Mads,” Buck said, walking around the bed and towards the door, Eddie taking one last look before following him out with a smile. They both heard but chose to ignore her call of “be safe!” as they left.
***
True to Eddie’s word, the restaurant was completely vacant save for them and Hen and Chimney were out of sight, although somewhere. They enjoyed their time together, undisturbed and alone for the entire night, reveling in one another’s company. It was such a nice change from the anxiety, pain, and stress from the last few weeks.
“I love you, you know that right?” Eddie said after a beat of silence, but the question was more on the rhetorical side.
“Of course I know that,” Buck smiled, eyes glittering but they were slightly confused. “I love you too,” he said softly, giving his hand a squeeze.
“You’re everything for me, you and Christopher,” Eddie continued, not missing the way Buck’s eyes searched his face in confusion. “I can’t even imagine a world without you by my side. You’re my best friend and the love of my life and you’ve been there for me through everything, no matter what. When you got shot, I thought I was going to lose you. And I never want to lose you, Evan,” he said, his voice strong but a little nervous as he watched Buck’s expression change to one of shock. “I had been planning this for a while and seeing you lying there because you took a bullet that was meant for me I—I was terrified that I was never going to get the chance. But you’re the strongest person I know and you’re a fighter, you never quit or give up no matter what, and I admire that about you,” he said, letting go of Buck’s hand to stand up from the table and pull the velvet box out of his pants pocket, moving around to get down on one knee, Buck turning in his seat to follow him, his eyes shaking. “I love you so, so, much Evan Buckley, more than you’ll ever know,” he smiled, opening the box. “Will you marry me?” he finally asked, beaming when Buck nodded quickly with tears threatening to spill.
“Yes, oh god Eddie, yes,” Buck said quickly, surging out of the chair once Eddie stood, wrapping him in a tight hug that was eagerly returned before pulling away to kiss him passionately. “I love you,” he laughed, separating from him so Eddie could put on the ring, the gold band sliding on effortlessly and looking like it was made to be there.
Eddie could’ve cried of happiness right then and there because although everyone assured him Buck would say yes, he had still been so worried. He pulled his fiancé in for another crushing kiss.
Elsewhere in the restaurant, hiding behind a pillar, Hen was filming the entire thing to show everyone later. Chimney was trying to peer over her shoulder but she kept whacking his arm to bat him away since he was distracting her from filming properly. Bobby and Athena were busy on guard (even if they were supervisors they liked to be there when it came to their family) and would kill her if she didn’t get the footage with sound and good quality. Maddie would also kill her and these were not risks Hen wanted to take. If it came down to that, she would just throw Chimney under the bus since he was distracting after all. She peered over her phone to look at the actual scene and hoped their make-out session didn't get too carried away on camera. Her wishes were thankfully granted and the newly engaged couple broke apart. As soon as they did, Chimney and Hen whooped and hollered with matching smirks before they had to get back to their jobs.
Buck turned when he heard the cheering, laughing when he saw who was behind it. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back onto his fiancé. He still could not believe that he was going to marry the love of his life and hopefully be an official father to Christopher (even though everyone including Christopher told him that he already was). “So,” he started with a suggestive and happy smile, “Evan Buckley-Diaz or just Evan Diaz?”
“Hm, we’ll have to think about that. I love them both,” Eddie smiled, exaggerating his contemplation with a hum, wrapping his arms around Buck’s waist and pulling him in.
“I think Evan Diaz has a nice ring to it,” Buck hummed, leaning into his body and closing the small gap between them to kiss him softly and gently.
“I agree,” Eddie smiled, pulling out of the kiss only slightly just to utter the words before he sealed the gap again.
“I can’t wait to tell Christopher,” Buck smiled when they finally pulled away, although their hands were still on each other.
“He gave me his blessing already so he knows I was going to do it, but I’m sure he’ll be over the moon to find out you’re going to officially be his other dad,” Eddie smiled, pecking his lips when he was unable to resist and taking his hand afterwards as they walked towards the exit.
Buck couldn’t stop smiling at the mention of being Christopher’s other dad and how mutual the want for that was. “I love you, and him,” he smiled, stopping so they could wait for the car.
“I love you both too,” Eddie smiled, giving his hand a squeeze.
When the car finally did come around and they were escorted out, Hen had a knowing smirk and gave them a thumbs up, Chimney winked very exaggeratedly, Bobby congratulated them, and Athena sported a knowing smile. The real congratulations would come once they were all safely back at the house but these gestures were more than enough to have Buck and Eddie beaming as they got in the car.
***
Christopher excited exclamation of “You’re getting married!!” repeated in Eddie’s head for the rest of the day, the smile on his face bright and unwavering. The morning had already been brilliant when he woke up beside his fiancé and had only gotten better when they told Christopher of their new status. However, their jobs meant business did have to be done and they had their fair share of meetings in discussing world issues and security. They had met with Bobby earlier in the day in order to discuss Buck’s new position. He wouldn’t be able to be Eddie’s head of security anymore and certainly couldn’t be one of his secret service agents. He would be promoted to First Gentleman and while he would always protect Eddie no matter what, he now also needed his own protection. Eddie was relieved that everything was tying nicely together and that he would hopefully not have to see Buck bleeding out for him again and they could finally settle and be married without keeping their relationship a secret.
“You’re thinking too much,” Buck teased, leaning in the doorframe of their bedroom and eyeing him.
“I always have to be thinking, you know, being the ‘leader of the free world’ and all,” Eddie snickered, teasing back and rolling his eyes, turning to face his fiancé.
“Right, I forgot that was in the job description,” Buck jeered playfully, crossing the room smoothly and resting his hands on Eddie’s chest, tugging him closer by the lapels to pull him in for a soft kiss, one that his fiancé melted into. As Eddie’s fingers moved up to his hair, Buck was suddenly very grateful he had shut the door before entering the room.
Eddie pulled away for a moment with a wide smile, setting his hands on Buck’s chest and gently guiding him back towards the bed, giving him a gentle push to get him to fall on the bed gracefully with a laugh. He crawled over him and closed the gap once more in a searing kiss, Buck’s hands coming up run his fingers through Eddie’s hair.
Before they could get any further, Buck pulled out of the kiss without pulling away entirely, their faces still mere centimeters apart. “I love you,” he whispered, blinking up at him when they parted a bit more to look at each other properly.
“I love you too,” Eddie said, a soft smile overtaking his face. He leaned down and met him halfway in another kiss, his hands moving to slide under Buck’s shirt and rest on his sides. As things became heavier and they drew closer, Eddie unconsciously leaned into him more and in doing so, put too much pressure on his still healing side. He pulled away abruptly when Buck recoiled from his touch and winced into the kiss. “Shit, sorry, I’m sorry,” Eddie stammered, pulling away immediately and resting his hands on the bed to keep himself up as he looked down at him worriedly.
“I’m okay, it’s okay,” Buck assured immediately, raising a hand to rest on his arm. “Just a little sore, I’m fine,” he said, nodding in time with Eddie to get him to really believe him and not feel guilty about it. “We might have to reschedule this though,” he joked with a light smile.
“Yeah, of course,” Eddie nodded, mentally berating himself for letting things get too far when Buck was still healing. His eyes flickered over his face as he searched it for any signs of pain or discomfort before he moved off of him and laid next to him instead. “You sure you’re okay?” he asked, biting his lip in worry.
“Eddie,” Buck said gently, turning on his good side to look at him, “I’m okay, I promise, you didn’t hurt me.” He smiled softly in assurance, resting his hand on chest.
Eddie sighed and nodded, knowing better than to argue with him. He turned his head just as Buck leaned in and gave him a gentle and soft kiss. This one was shorter than the others and they both pulled away after only a few moments, looking at each other with equal amounts of love and adoration.
“We can’t fall asleep like this, we didn’t even change our clothes,” Buck laughed, breaking the silence when he realized they were still in regular clothes.
“We’re napping, we’ll change later before dinner,” Eddie scoffed, rolling his eyes and shuffling closer to him as he laid on his back again, pulling Buck to him.
“I wasn’t aware that we were napping,” Buck said with a raised eyebrow before rolling his eyes in return and bonelessly complying, snuggling closer to him and resting his head on his shoulder.
“I don’t hear you complaining,” Eddie laughed softly, closing his eyes and settling down.
“Oh I’m not, purely an observation,” Buck laughed, tugging the covers up around them before closing his own eyes. “Christopher is definitely going to be our alarm clock, isn’t he?” he asked, but he knew the answer already.
“Definitely,” Eddie laughed with a nod, “don’t bother setting an alarm,” he confirmed, resting his head against Buck’s. “Now shh, I’m sleeping,” he said in a lower tone and softer voice.
“Okay, okay, I know you need your beauty sleep,” Buck teased, opening his eyes to peak at his smiling face before closing them again and finally settling down. He smiled when he felt Eddie’s arm wrap around him and his hand settle gently on his healing side and he dropped a kiss to his collarbone in return.
Later there would be plenty of congratulations and celebratory exclamations and events, as well as event planning on top of their normal duties. For now though, for now it was just the two fiancés in their own little world sleeping the next few hours away before excitement came back around— something they were more than happy to participate in.
