FIRE EMBLEM FYI: Specifically for 3Houses/3Hopes because I need a separate one for this franchise specificially given how many crazy things I got due to being involved in this fanbase via my fanworks:

DO NOT try to convince me to like or tolerate Byleth/student ships, ESPECIALLY the ones with the lords (aka CIaude, Dimitri, EdeIgard). I already summarized why I don’t like FE3H Byleth ships with student chars here. While the spinoff game FEW3H has now removed that teacher/student problematic situation, the fandom keeps putting the FE3H elements into the FEW3H fanworks (i.e. remembering Byleth from “another life” trope)...so no thanks!! DO NOT SHOW ME IT!!!

As for the Byleth ships with faculty members, my response is here so don’t try to bait me about that topic either thanks.

I do not care whom you ingame S-support. 3Houses limits the dating-sim part of the game to that character, so I cannot care less about how you play the game. The main issue I have is when people treat Byleth the “character” as a legit ship material when I personally think they are a cool character ruined by fans who are too obsessed with badly executed self insert otome tropes bc they self-project super hard onto them. Just to be clear, any FE3H or FEW3H OC/Canon >>>>>>Byleth ships personally. Even Byleth-sonas that remove the teacher/student aspects are better than canon FE3H!Byleth

Please don't drag FE VA statements as some sort of “gotcha” on my opinions like this post here. IDC what other people prefer with ship shit, that’s their problem and not mine. I am not gonna bother them about it. So don’t bother ME about it.

Omg hi! Little warning for a ramble that might sound incoherent and "weird" to people who don't know how to have fun lol /lh (aka: I'm talking about my non-humanness, lol)

Warning! this gets VERY long, VERY specific and personal (not in a vent way, but in a "I'm rambling about myself" kind of way), and, somehow, incredibly scientific. Like, actually talking about a physics phenomenon and chemical reaction. I don't know, but yk how it is lol, I may be cringe but I am free

Well! I am indeed cloudkin and Ghostkin; rather, I've realized that I mostly feel like a cloud-looking spirit of sorts, inhabiting a human body if you will. I know some of my features (antlers, fangs, multiple eyes and dots and markings) but they're slightly shifting since my form isn't stable in itself!

Also, I know I'm fictionkin to some degree... Except I'm... not? See, I'm part of a system. I keep referring to myself as otherkin instead of just being a non-human sysmate because, despite this not being everyone's experience (completely valid), I technically "am" "the one that was here before the others""", rather, I was just here pre syscovery even if I know I've been plural for longer than that; but I felt so at home with kin terms that they felt right to use even when I don't see many systems referring to their individual members as X-kin. However, I did eventually realize that my connection to a certain character (I'd hide who it is... But I post about Dream sans on an almost daily basis and they've been the mental representation of myself for about five years now, like. They're me) but it didn't feel like being fictionkin to me; I AM some sort of introject, a semi-fictive I'd say. Plus Dream is a little ball of golden energy inhabiting a skeleton body... And so am I, a golden-looking spirit inside a body! So I'm ghost/cloudkin, galaxykin (simply because of the shifting nature and because my mind always feels so -vast-, like my body's too small to contain it, and it felt right to think of myself as a galaxy, and it was a good metaphor until it was just... intrinsically tied to who I am) and starkin for similar reasons (glowing mass of continuous chemical reactions... Me relating myself to chemistry doesn't end here, keep reading and you'll notice lol)

Stupidly enough, because this is so specific and no one ever seems to talk about stuff like this, one of the things I've realized about myself is what I'm made of; as in, which chemical-

It's something I've known for a while, before I went by Júpiter I went by Jay because I knew I wanted a name that started with J bc J and Q are the only letters not in the periodic table and I was like "oh, my name starts with J because I'm the missing element"; and then way before I had my gender figured out, the easiest way to explain my feelings was to talk about myself in pokemon types... I'd be a ghost/poison type, something about poison types always made me relate in a way? fitting lol

I think I had a huge species euphoria moment when we did the gold rain experiment (link leads to page explaining how to do the experiment) in my lab class. To put it simply, it is a mix of lead nitrate and potassium iodide that crystalizes, and then forms this snowball kind of effect, it looks like THIS:

I don't know, the mix of something looking so glittery, yet being so toxic (8g of lead nitrate are enough to kill you lol) made me go OMG ME

I want to also add that as a physics student + chemistry enthusiast, me feeling species euphoria from physics/chemistry concepts extends to more; for example I learnt about the De Broglie wave length and I haven't been normal ever since... idk how to properly explain it, so here's the wikipedia definition lol, shorter than what I was gonna write: "Matter waves are a central part of the theory of quantum mechanics, being half of wave–particle duality. At all scales where measurements have been practical, matter exhibits wave-like behavior. For example, a beam of electrons can be diffracted just like a beam of light or a water wave." And I don't know how to explain the inherent non-human euphoria I got being "related" to waves like light; like, yes!! I feel more incorporeal and more wave-like! I'm a ghost! Of course my specific properties aren't really "realistic" but come on, no one's trying to (dis)prove my existence.

I think I've just become very comfy in being non-human since 2021, maybe it's because my partner is also non-human and we've related a lot to each other in that regard; I just do the things that make me happy about it. I hide in bed with my prized possessions, makes me incredibly happy in an animalistic kind of way!

Other people find where they came from, who they were at some point. Personally, I do not have a spiritual past related to my non-humanity, I am a creature inhabiting a human body, so I don't have hearthomes or kin memories... I have weirdly specific attachments to physics concepts (part of the reason I must study physics, I need to understand the world on a deeper, non-human level) and feel euphoria over the weirdest shit lmfao

"Hi, I'm home!” says Paul as he opens the door to your house. you stand up and walk out to him “hi” He puts his hands on your waist and pulls you in for a kiss. “hi” he smiled down at you “how was the filming?” "awful Tyrese and I couldn't make one of the scenes we kept laughing” you stood on your tip toes and kissed his cheek. “Are you ready for the Italian Grand Prix in a few days?” “mhm, Charles is coming over to get me thursday, tomorrow so I won't be home. Also, do you want to come with me?” you ask him “I would love to come but am Im allowed to be there not many people know our thing.” “you will be if you walk in with me and Frédéric knows..” “Did you tell him?” “no, he saw you called me after a race. He could see your name with a heart on my phone.” “okay.. so I'm flying with you and Charles?” “yeah he will be okay with it, he had his gf with him once” “I will go up and pack then” he smiled at you as he took his shoes off.  He then stood up “did you have a good day?” “yes but it’s much better now that you're here” He chuckles and looks down at you, he then takes you up and puts you over his shoulder ”HEY!”

Hey babe! I've taken some time to answer this one because I wanted to dedicate the proper time to it. I must say, your story is pretty interesting, and you should definitely write more. In fact, even if some asshole ever told you that you shouldn't, you should continue to write if it's what you enjoy doing.

Now, where I do think I could give you some advice is regarding the formatting. This one is crucial because different languages have different formatting for writing and English has a lot of tricky ones, and it takes a lot of attention to get them right but I think I can sum them up for you.

Now the lack of spacing might be because of the limited amount of space in asks, but just in case it isn't, it's important to remember that you must switch paragraphs every time:

A different character speaks

You change a scene, time or location

You start a new topic

Another interesting one that even I didn't know until way deep into writing fanfiction is the punctuation marks after your characters speak and before you add the quotation marks. Allow me to elaborate.

This is a super detailed article about it, but basically, a dialogue should look something like this.

"If your dialogue follows a dialogue tag, you must use a coma in the end," she said.

She said, "On the other hand, if it's at the beginning, then instead of a coma you would use a dot."

"If it's obvious who the speaker is and you don't want to add a dialogue tag, then you also use a dot."

"And it's the same if you're breaking a paragraph after your dialogue."

"You are also meant to use dots if the dialogue is followed by an action and not a dialogue tag." She moved to the other side of the room to continue explaining.

"And if you have either a question mark or an exclamation one, then you continue your without capitalizing, the same as if it were a coma!" she said.

"If you are breaking paragraph after it, you don't need to add a for though!"

So with proper formatting, the little excerpt you've sent would look somewhat like this:

You were sitting on the sofa in your house looking at some random shit on your phone. "Hi, I'm home!” said Paul as he opened the door to your house. He saw your name with a heart on my phone.” “Okay.. so I'm flying with you and Charles?” “Yeah he will be okay with it, he had his girlfriend with him once.” “I'll go up and pack then,” (also the contraction makes it a bit more natural) he smiled at you as he took his shoes off,  he then stood up. “Did you have a good day?” “Yes but it’s much better now that you're here.” He chuckled (tense change) and looked down at you, he then grabbed onto your waist and put you over his shoulder. ”HEY!”  you complained. 

Also, I'd also add that you must be careful with your tenses, you start in past and then you switch to present, while this can happen in English when you are in conversation, it's not very common when you're telling a story. If you'll be talking in present, stick to the present (It's not vert common on formal books but I've seen it often in fanfiction), if you'll be talking in past, stick to the past.

I hope you find this useful darling, I tried to be as concise as possible while explaining all these little grammar rules, and I hope I didn't come as harsh. Took me long to figure them out and I suppose someone detailing them to me would have been pretty useful. I think your writing is great and I reiterate the fact that you should definitely continue. Frick I’m so bad at recognizing and remembering faces and appearances and I’m trying to put together who is who in your drawings and it’s painful for me. It’s not your art that’s making me confused, it’s my own brain :( Sometimes I have to wait to hear my brother’s voice to know who he is. Sometimes I have to see how my brother’s girlfriend acts when she puts on makeup to know if I recognize her. I kinda have to rely on same hair styles or accessories like jewelry in order to recognize things/people sometimes.

It’s also okay if this is too much to ask, but could the black sheep maybe have accessories that could help keep track of who is who? Maybe the accessories could be the only thing of color besides the text? Ex. Lil lion having a hair band or hair clip that is dark yellow. Lil Al Asim having some kind of body tattoo/ink that’s dark red around their neck area. Things that’ll fit into their character but also the colors being that of their brothers’ dorms? Again, it’s totally okay if this is too much! It’s just hard for me to keep track of things >.<

also i made their hair short! i liked the idea of how leona and (probably) falena have longer hair that (name) cuts it after running away.

so obv they have the same lil beauty mark as azul <33 i also wanna make it clear that they don't all have the same body shape? just used a pose that i use to get a full look at a character's design. so, yes yes, lil octo is on the heavier side.

also their accessory is the shell from the movie! got inspired by the anon that talked about it keeping their human form :)

so they have the unqiue eye shape where i gave them lashes :) ofc because they would have 11/10 lashes like vil :D ++ eye shadow but that's only in colored drawings.

i gave them the hair clip with a lil mirror design to hold back their bangs :DD and a ring because i like to think they would wanna wear lil rings :)

so gonna address their skin color first. i made their skin a bit more gray to mimic how the overblot characters look? i mean, they live on the same floor as the overblot monsters so i feel like it makes sense for their appearance to also be affected by them?

also!! their flame hair is dimmer than idia and ortho's! i thought it'd make sense for it to be like that to mimic a sort of dimmer light? like how they're slowly deteriorating or smth. ++they have an ahoge that i wanna draw in diff poses depending on their emotions >:)

gave them a mask that kinda mimic ink/blot? wanna stick with that motif for them :)

draconia (lil dragon):

so i wanted to keep a close resemblance to malleus? bc i feel like the idea a lot of people have come with where lil draconia doesn't entirely understand that their related despite their very obvious similar appearances.

the main factor i wanted to tell them apart from the others was lil scale like things on their face? idk i just liked the idea while browsing for refs. it was that or!! more branch-like horns?? idk we'll see :)

listen. i've been fucked up over a completely self-indulgent modern au of these two for a week and i need to expel all the headcanons i've stockpiled or i will actually lose my shit. so this is both '''''canon''''' p/js and the modern au i made up.

pocahontas is demi in both; she had a healthy libido, but she doesn't experience much sexual attraction to others. once she does, tho, it's like a switch goes off and she finds the physical act of love a very fulfilling part of her relationship. i also hc that the other person she's had sexual experience with is nakoma, although it was entirely sexual on her end and not at all romantic (nakoma had a crush on her tho. got a lil messy there). in modern au, she's transgender and what you might call 'fully transitioned.' she prefers to remain stealth, but will talk about her experience in certain circles if she feels comfortable enough to do so (mostly, she's only comfortable talking to john or nakoma about it).

john has a lot going on. he's bi and isn't too conflicted about it in either canon, but in modern au he grew up in a very heteronormative community and family so he has a lil gender crisis going on. he thinks of himself as 'part guy, part not-guy.' they don't really have the benefit of a vocabulary to work this out on their own, so it's a little nebulous. i wanted some 'messy gendered' john, what can i say?

big spoon-little spoon

john is basically made to be big spoon, and pocahontas likes being all snug, but she can step up easily if john's feelin a lil fragile (modern au this happens more often bc of the ptsd i gave him. heehee ;3 ).

lends clothes-borrows clothes

pocahontas can and has borrowed/stolen every piece of clothing john owns.

pet names

pocahontas tends to lean towards using more 'proper' names and addresses just in general; pet names were never much of a thing so much as nicknames were growing up. john, on the other hand, will use a pet name for a houseplant.

introverted-extroverted

pocahontas is quite introverted, and tends to go off on her own a lot to recharge after a big run of interactions (this happens a lot in modern au due to her job). john is generally extroverted, but he can get tired of putting on a 'show' for people after a while.

affection through words-actions

they both use a fairly balanced amount of words and actions, although pocahontas tends to vocalize her feelings more, and john has a big 'acts of service' thing going on once he's got the traction for it.

confessions

john's self esteem is in the ground, so he never confesses first. he just deprioritizes his own feelings in favor of other peoples', so he'll just...not say anything, and assume he'll be told to 'leave' when he's not wanted around anymore. pocahontas confesses to him when she figures this out, and realizes she has to spell it out for him that yES she wants him around oh my god

BUGS

these are pro-bug dorks who will take selfies with the bug before releasing it gently into the wild.

driving

both can drive but neither are particularly good. pocahontas has a motorcycle tho and she's very good on that.

cooking

these two are equally useless when it comes to domestic chores in general, because they get very impatient and lose focus. they literally have to have someone babysitting them throughout any chore or task like cooking or they will Fail so everything from cooking to cleaning the bathroom they HAVE to do together because it's the only way anything will get done. they rely heavily on takeout and nakoma cooking for them, but they do that 'hello fresh' type thing sometimes and it's a whole evening of them following directions to maybe succeed in making something edible. john is only slightly more capable bc he has one (1) sandwich and one (1) recipe for pulled pork that he can pull off on his own.

PDA

this was supposed to be a dual-colored dot lmao but they are equally disgusting as like the type of couple that forgets other people are Watching and will make out in a public park.

protectiveness

pocahontas is generally more protective only bc she knows john doesn't prioritize his own safety/LIFE and will get himself injured if he thinks he can protect someone else. john is closer to chill only bc he generally knows pocahontas is Highly capable of taking care of herself and doesn't really need him to protect her (although he would absolutely die for her if it came down to it)

relationship experience

john actually has some experience, although never anything too serious. pocahontas, being demi and fairly aloof, never had a real relationship before, so she sometimes feels insecure about her part of the relationship.

horny levels

like i said before, pocahontas has a very healthy libido, but low sexual attraction, so once the engine starts in her relationship with john, she's generally On It most of the time. john (being a healthy young man himself) is p happy to try and keep up, but if he's just not able to get there for some reason (overstimulated, depressed, just not feelin the mojo), pocahontas is very good about winding back down to non-sexual forms of affection.

awkwardness levels

they're both fairly awkward people, actually, when you think about it, but in different ways, and in different situations. overall, they balance each other's awkwardness out and make a v good team, socially.

jealousy levels

the aforementioned total absence of john's self esteem also contribute to his lack of jealous tendencies (also, to him, someone else paying a lot of attention to pocahontas is just...normal. like if someone wasn't enchanted by her he'd think they were a lil crazy, kinda way). pocahontas on the other hand, due to her insecurities, can get pretty jealous over john. she's very self-aware about it though, and can curb it with some effort, but she can get too much in her head about it sometimes.

hi i was curious what fic you were refering to in your minato/akechi art :>??

It's a fic i've been writing on and off for a year now but i havent posted it anywhere yet haha.... unless?

In summary: It's about Akechi finding new work at a company called R.E.I (reliable, experienced, innovative) where Minato is the CEO (and widower) with a child Akechi comes to know as Rei (yep Minato named the company after his daughter). The fic focuses on all 3 influencing each other and helping each other cope/grow from their traumas but is also my biggest excuse to write cute scenes where Akechi gets to have an adopted daughter and be the dad he never got to be (he's terrible at it). If you're wondering "why would Minato hire Akechi" then don't worry. He has a very good reason. Minato hired Akechi because Akechi gave him shitty customer service and Minato took one look at him and said "I can adjust his attitude." now Akechi works for Minato bc he's an idiot. Most the fic is also me writing them comedically stupid and sad and very stupid. Oh, and I guess they kiss maybe. But really it's about broken people building a family w/o knowing. I made the fic as a joke and that's why it can't be named anything other than "Is it wrong to hit on my boss?" I've made a ton of art for it (some which I guess i've already posted alluding to the fic). I did make a cover sketch for it tho! There's a bunch of foreshadowing in the items on display (but it's too sketchy to make out I'm sure).

The 100k part of this fic is already up on patreon but I'm writing/editing the other 100K. So like, uh... 200+ pages of text and 29 chapters so far. In theory, the fic is already finished/has an ending, but I just need to fill in the gaps and tie plot points together.

If you're interested, I'll add the prelude/first chapter below the cut lmfao. It pretty much sets up the premise as tightly as possible in under 2K words. It has not been edited at all so take this abhorrently constructed first draft with no shame. You can judge my noodle words all you want but remember if you say a mean thing I will die.

Ch 1: That's not how this was supposed to go.

10 AM on the dot, to no one's surprise, he was flawlessly punctual as usual. Today was too important for missteps, and Akechi had carefully calculated each and every word he was going to use to land this job opportunity with one of Japan's biggest corporations in web development and online advertisement. Having worked at a low paying job for the most part (one with a boss that relentlessly attacked him and tried to convince him that he would amount to nothing, no less) didn’t prepare him for the call he received from R.E.I's founder about a new job opportunity. 

Cocky with confidence, he quit his job before the interview. 

After all, if this founder somehow went out of his way to request him, he must have done so with good reason.

With his hair tied back neatly into a ponytail and his shirt tucked beneath a more-than-a-little expensive looking business suit, he walked into the lobby, checked in, and got told to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor. He cocked his head curiously at the attendant before turning his gaze towards the elevator. Next to the elevator was a fire extinguisher for emergencies, and a metal plate outlining over 100 floors for the building. Naturally, there had to be some mistake. Floor 1 was considered the lobby, floor 2 was a storage for supplies and spare parts, and floor 3 was where their call center started. Their web developers were a fair bit higher up in the company, which made his directions only more confusing. What was a web developer supposed to do at a call center? While the thought of not having to fake a smile over the phone was comforting, the very image of having to do customer support 7 hours a day for the rest of his life put the fear of God in him.

"Pardon my rudeness, but there m-" Must be some mistake. The old lady at the counter was one step ahead of him and delivered her message with a sharp tone that left Akechi speechless.

"The founder's office is on the third floor," she interrupted her sentence with a huff, "-treat yourself to the coffee upstairs, you're gonna need it." and punctuated it with a dismissive wave of her hand. If more people hadn't entered the building and tried to take care of their own business, Akechi would have asked her to elaborate. But since he now for sure knew he was going to meet the founder, he decided not to make a scene.

"I… see. Thank you for the offer, but I must decline. I'm sure everything will go smoothly." But if they put him in a call center to provide customer support around the clock he was prepared to personally wire that black coffee maker into a homemade bomb and take down the whole building with him. While that thought crossed his mind, he smiled politely at the woman and took the elevator ride up.

Never in his life had he been so confused by a layout. He was aware of the building's size, but this was beyond ridiculous. The hallways almost looked like a maze, with paintings scribbled from wall to wall. Upon closer inspection, they looked like kids drawings. Either this was part of some PR stunt, or the founder was really into bright neon colors. If Akechi didn't hear the man on the other line himself and came here looking for a job, he'd expect to find a kindergarten at the other side of the many doors down the hall. His confidence was dwindling more and more with each step.

Once he reached the door he assumed would take him into the workplace where the founder was seated, he grasped at the handle only to find it locked. He blinked, and twisted the doorknob again, hoping it would open the door. When it didn't, he pulled a little harder until he heard a click from the other side, and noticed that the plate beneath the handle had the word "push" written in caps. Without thinking, he put far too much swing into his movement, and ended up smacking the poor sap on the other side that kindly unlocked the door for him, and the man's coffee poured right onto his suit and onto the floor in a loud mess.

"Ah, sorry!" He would have stayed and apologized properly if he wasn't at risk of running late. "If you give me a minute, I'll be right back and help you clean up!" and he was gone. He could have stayed and helped but chose to prioritize the meeting. In the end, that guy was out one cup of coffee and still had a stable income, whereas missing out on this interview might cost Akechi not only his career, but his livelihood. If this went south, he could wind up homeless. Unless he begged for his old job back.

No, the chill of winter would be less humiliating than going back on his hands and knees to the boss that not only demeaned him, but continuously plagiarized his work for his own benefit.

"Hewoo," In the midst of his early mid-twenties crisis, a soft voice spoke to him, but the only people he spotted were already head-deep in work. Another faint cry, this one, a bit more shy.

"Heo…" he turned his head down, and spotted a tiny girl hiding beneath a desk with her fist against her lips and her knees up to her chest. She looked about four years old, short curly hair with a clip-on to keep her bangs out of her eyes. Really, if she hadn't called out to him, he never would have spotted her in those shadows. He stared at her stupidly before turning his head up and asking if anyone brought their daughter to work. The girl shushed him, and got his attention once again.

"M, hidin…" 

"Ah," It was too early for a break, but he supposed someone might have taken some time off to call a responsible adult to come pick up their child from work. Still, he couldn't help but smile and crouch next to her, putting one finger over his lips with a whisper. "It's ok, I won't tell anyone." The little girl smiled so wide she was practically squinting. 

"Who r u…" He cocked his head slightly. Did she know most of the people on this floor? She spoke as if she knew he was a stranger. He shrugged it off. That can't be right. Must have been childish curiosity. 

"I'm Akechi Goro, and you?"

"Ake...ak...e...Aket…" She struggled and fumbled over her words, before she furrowed her brows with confidence and looked upset she couldn't yet pronounce his name.

"Gowo." He couldn't hold back a smile, and the little girl, now forgetting she's supposed to be hiding, shouts at him.

"Don't laff! That's mean!"

"Sorry!" His words said sorry, but his smile told her differently. At least, until his phone began beeping. It was now exactly 10 am.

"Sh-!" Too much in a hurry, he rushed to stand up quickly, and banged the back of his head against the table. He fell to his knees again, pushed down by the tabletop, and grabbed the back of his neck. The little girl, to no fault of her own, laughed at him without a shred of sympathy. Before he could get up on his feet, an arm patted him on the back.

"Hey, you ok?" He couldn't tell with his eyes closed, but the little girl mimicked the man's movements and reached her tiny hand out to pat Akechi's knee as if to comfort him. Before he could respond, he heard the man say "There you are!" followed by a tiny high pitched scream that honest to God was only giving Akechi a headache.

Still better than his old job, despite the abuse and trauma he's had to endure thus far.

When he opened his eyes, he saw the man that he accidentally slammed into squishing the little girl's cheeks, possibly as punishment.

"What did I tell you? You can't win."

"Mmmrmmmrrrr"

"Do you give up?" The child stubbornly stared him in the eye and only repeated her mumbling louder. The man sighed, but with the hint of a smile.

"Alright, go hide again." The joy in that little girl's eyes could part the skies on a cloudy day. She beamed and quickly ran off to hide elsewhere while the man covered his eyes and began counting. As soon as she was gone and he no longer heard the tip tap of feet, he got up and extended his hand towards Akechi.

"You look lost. Do you need any help?" This was humiliating. A kid laughing at him, he could handle, but a future coworker extending him his aid this early in their partnership was shameful. Especially since this was the same guy he left high and dry just moments ago.

"No, no, I'll be alr-" His voice was now much less sympathetic.

"Just take my hand." So much for debate. He didn't appreciate how everyone in this company cut him off mid-sentence, but took the other man's hand to get back up on his feet. As soon as he did, he got looked over rather thoroughly, a little too intensely to his liking.

"Doesn't look like you're bleeding, but if you're feeling dizzy, there's a nurse just two doors down to the left. She can examine you in case you've suffered any severe damage." His concern was flattering but unnecessary and sadly a waste of time.

"Haha, no worries. Actually... I need to get to the founder's office. Do you know where that is?" 

"Yes, but I wouldn't worry about t- Rei, don't climb the bookshelf! Junpei, will you-" 

"Aye, aye, boss! Come here you trouble bunny! How about you hop hop into bed and take a long looong nap? Man, uncle Junpei could use one too. I'll show you how it's done, like a pro!"

"Iori, sleep on the job and you're fired."

"Come on Philei, your dad is scary when he's talking to people that are not you!"

So much happened in the span of just a couple of seconds.

"...Rei?" He felt his blood run cold. "Her name is… Rei?" The man, somewhat confused that he was still standing there with a dumb look on his face, spoke as if this was basic knowledge Akechi should have known before stepping into the building.

"Of course, that's my daughter," he holds out his hand again, this time, expecting Akechi to shake it. "-and I'm the founder, Minato Arisato. And you are?"

I LOVE GEM. I genuinely think she has complete mastery over the Minecraft Video Format and frankly outshone everyone on this server pacing wise this season. She knows when to cut to grindy aspects of minecraft as breathers between high interpersonal drama and murder. She brings the best out of everyone in the funniest way possible, like she charmed Pearl into a red name alliance, she roasted Mumbo's tower and made him dig his pg13 hole deeper and deeper, you know how she is with etho. I get that this is a fandom that skews younger and I also went through a phase of taking it extremely personally when someone called the thing i like Cringe (or even worse, actually critiqued it and shredded it to smithereens), but like, please let me be a grumpy old man with my fellow grumpy old man mutuals. ah yeah... that was intentional. old habits die hard i guess? this got a little away from me so i put my extremely long rant under the cut, but tlwr: i try not to tag a lot of shipping stuff as /smosh.

see, i'm not new to the smosh fandom, but i am relatively new to THIS version of the fandom. i came back a couple of months ago but my real heyday was in like. 2018-2020. and we had pretty set rules for how we went about things, and one of the BIG ones was to never put anything ship-related in the main tags (those tags being cast names and the main smosh tag itself).

this was for a couple different reasons; first of all, some of the actual smosh staff was on tumblr (the official smosh blog for one, and i think one of the cast used tumblr at the time?? not sure on that one though as i Cannot remember), and we didn't want them to have to view rpf of themselves in spaces just generally meant for posting about them/their company. like say courtney, for example, goes into the 'courtney miller' tag - there's a difference between seeing a post about her bit in the new tntl and a post about them. fucking ian nasty style. not that there's anything wrong with the latter, just that i am very conscientious about not showing the real person fiction to the real person(s) in question, as was a lot of the smosh fandom.

second of all, not every smosh fan is into rpf. our venn diagram is not a circle. there was a time when i was not a part of the venn diagram. it's why i try to tag every post with 'shipping' and/or 'rpf' when it even vaguely hints at the stuff, so that not everybody has to see it. this isn't exclusive to this topic - i would do that for anything divisive. so, yeah, casual smosh fans scrolling the main tag probably don't want to see my silly ship edits, and i get that!!

since i've returned we obviously have a much different fandom culture - the old smosh blog shut down years ago and i'm fairly certain none of the cast checks tumblr anymore (and if they do and they're reading this: i'd like to apologize and beg for them to block me for both of our sanities). i've also made a few exceptions to my own rule, such as with the incorrect tweets bc i think those can mostly be written off as jokes and the lil au edits though i regret that at times. (i've been considering un-tagging those for a while tbh.) i've also realized recently that the tag 'smosh fic' just gets sorted directly into the 'smosh' tag which is. a pain in the ass. that's not what i said tumblr and you know it. so some of my content has been filtered in there. but you'll notice with the lil clips and text posts i post and stuff i almost never tag it as 'smosh' because. i just don't need people to see it ya know. i've got my people here and that's enough for me <3

that is all to say by the way that the new fandom culture is not BAD. as we all know, i'm very pro-rpf, so seeing rpf out there is great (as long as you know it's not tinhatting etc etc). we also have a very diverse community now with a lot of interesting ships and great fics that i would never have found without casually scrolling through the smosh tag!! it's also easier nowadays to block tags than ever; casual fans can just block the 'shipping' tag and have (relatively) easy access to the smosh tag. so please all of you keep doing you - i'm not your mother and i don't expect you to listen to lil ole me where i live perched up on my soap box. BUT idk if i personally can get over my hang-ups about tags.

Here's how to start a tumblr rp blog!

First. Make a new account. Not a sideblog. Sideblogs are fine but it can be confusing and messy and it's just not the ideal experience for ur first blog

Pick out a url that relates to your character and their themes/motifs or the themes you want to write

Pick out a container or minimalist theme on @theme-hunter a simple one! Doesnt have to be too fancy!

Make, commission, or draw some graphics. Some people will make incredibly detailed icons. I got lazy on this blog honestly and I hate all my graphics so we're going thru it, struggle bus on limpfisted dot tumblr dot com, but a lot of people have a nice aesthetic header, a nice aesthetic icon, and a nice aesthetic pinned post. Plus promos

You don't honestly have to do that, but its fun, and you get to learn photoshop editing, which is a great skill that impresses my parents. U also don't have to use photos hope, i use clip studio paint on my tablet, and tbh i like it better bc its not so fucking SLOW. I always used to make my own .psds anyway so it's whatever. There a lots of tutorials, Google it, but have fun with it!

Go to the tumblr search and look for a Google doc template or carrd template. This is for your rules/about page. Its mobile friendly for suckers like me without laptops. Write basic rules (ie no minors shit of that nature), then write your characters backstory and important information.

Then head over to ur brand new tumblr and click the new post button. Make a pinned post. Put ur little graphic. Put a little poem. Put a link to your carrd/Google doc. Put ur online name pronouns and age range and ur characters name and pronouns. PIN that shit.

Then go and hit the new post button again and put the little graphics you made for your promo. Write a little poem. Tag it "bg3 rp" and "dnd rp" and "oc rp"

Then bobs ur goddamn uncle. You're a roleplayer. You did it!

Mischa read the message and smiled brightly at it.

Noel's jaw dropped. He was gobsmacked, shook, flabbergasted, an fear.

He soon found the room, he knew it was Noel's due to the obnoxiously large chicago poster on the door. He opened the door to fine bits of shredded paper. He picked one up and it read:

Mischa returned the favour by wrapping his arms around his neck. Mischa slowly lowered his head and gently pecked Noel's hair. "Misch, did you really mean what you said?" Noel asked. "What? That I love you? I meant that Noel. I meant that with my whole heart." Noel tightened his grip and started to sob. "Mischa Bachinski, you're so perfect. Don't Let me go." Noel started to shake. "Misch please. Please. I love you. I need you." His voice shook. Mischa picked Noel up and placed him on the bed. "Noel. I'm going to get something. Get some snacks." He walked to where he set his bag and unzipped it. He grabbed some reccees, coke, and chips. "Noel, I got you a few things." Noel dragged Mischa onto the bed and hugged him. "Mischa I love you." Noel spoke loudly. "Mhh, love you too, Dear." He put his arms around Noel and pulled him close. Noel reached down slightly and grabbed the coke. He tried to read the label but he struggled "This diet coke?" Noel asked. "No it's not. Do you want diet? I can get diet. I don't mind going and getting it if you want?" Mischa Said. His tone was rather rushed, it sounded idiosyncratic. "Mischa I'd love that." Noel whispered. Mischa nodded and climbed out of Noel's wooden single bed frame. He then pulled his sweater off and grabbed a dress shirt from his suitcase. "Wait fuck fuck fuck fuck!" He yelled. The last fuck was extended. "So sorry Noel, I am so so so sorry." He took the sweater and ran out to the bathroom with black trousers and a blazer in hand. Noel just layed there, absolutely flabbergasted. Oh his golly good days. His homosexuality was real !!!! He knew from the young age of 7 when people started liking harry potter he liked the french new wave cinema . The door downstairs opened and Noel saw Mischa running out. Within minutes he was back. Five diet cokes in hand. Mischa ran upstairs and gave Noel one. "Wowzers! Gee willikers thank you mischa !!!!!!" Noel screamed. "For realz" Mischa said. He made sure the z instead of s was known. IRL TOOOOO!!?$&@*!?

okay so I KNOW I've told this story somewhere on this blog before I swear but I can't fuckin find the post anywhere so I'm just going to tell it again and if you follow me and you've seen me tell this story before then no you haven't. :)

BASICALLY when I was like 11 ish I was on fanfiction dot net reading like austin and ally or lemonade mouth fanfiction or something and I didn't have an account because I didn't really care. and if I really liked a story and it didn't have many "reviews" (on ff.net comments are called reviews which is pretentious tbh but w/e) I would basically spam review it with good reviews pretending to be as many different people as possible so the story would look more popular because I didn't have any friends or anything better to do i guess. so I did this for a while, just finding stories I liked and leaving like 10-30 "anonymous" reviews from "different people" being like this fic is awesome!! good job!! and to do this I would have to make up like sometimes 50-60 fake usernames a day bcs to post an anonymous review on ff.net you still have to put in a guest name and I was trying to make them all look different so I didn't want to just put like "guest" ten times in a row. so I would make up all these fucking usernames and they would be formulaic because I was not that smart as an 11 year old, so i would do like horsegirl196 or skiingguy224 or rihannafan19 or w/e. and one time I was reading a fic and I used the name "daNcergirl369" (note the n) because I liked the idea that people might think I was a dancer (I wasn't). anyways I can't remember why but the author responded to this one like in the author notes of the next chapter of the fic (a common occurrence back then) and we sort of struck up a back and forth and eventually I bit the bullet and made and FF.net account under that name so we could message and then eventually a few years later came to make a tumblr account and was like "oh weird, I typed it dacergirl369 by mistake, oops. that's crazy." and then I looked back at the last like two years or however long and realised id literally been dacergirl369 the whole time since the beginning. I was never a dancer. I had somehow managed to make the same mistype at LEAST twelve times before I made the account and mistyped it again, exactly the same, somehow. and now I just live under the weight of this typo forever, hanging over my head and taunting me for ever thinking I could dare to dream to be a dancer (never taken any dance lessons). hope this helps <3

In terms of what Mel would ACTUALLY wear to the beach, though…?? I mean, you Google her name and what do you get? Tails and tiddies. The woman just loves being naked, what can I say? But alas. She, too, burns exceedingly easily, and so at Lucy’s behest (doctor, and all that) she’d -- grudgingly, I'd like to stress -- throw on some Ariel/Little Mermaid shell-style bikini-type-Thing, plus a hat, sunglasses and copious amounts of sunscreen.

I briefly considered having her dress to the hilt, like Winter, because that seemed eminently funny to me, but given her affinity for the sea I think she'd want to be wearing as little as possible. And her outfit would presumably be fashioned from natural materials/elements.

She'd spend the day swimming, lounging and/or summoning increasingly large waves for others to surf. Luce, maybs. Or Tintin. The latter riding >insert terrifying, Lovecraftian sea beast here<, lol.

And, being something of a drinker herself, she'd probs spend a certain amount of time at the bar, too. Her drink of choice alternates between a good ol' fashioned G&T and a Dark N' Stormy. Double, in either case. Which she'd get for free, seeing as her rizz game when not crush-directed is actually p strong!

If by some miracle someone -- Tintin, maybe; persuasive as she is -- has managed to drag Seb away from his dragon-like hoard of reading material, dusty teacups and old, VHS-recorded BBC docus, I would imagine he'd simply wear his suit to the beach. Indeed, I’m not sure he owns any other clothes. Just the same suit, over and over. Like SpongeBob. 

He’d roll his trousers up to his knees, throw his tie over his shoulder and paddle about in the surf for a bit, likely discovering some interesting Specimens in the process, which he’d inevitably spend the rest of the day studying.

Maybe he'd even get stung by a jellyfish. Because that just seems like a very Sebastian thing to do. :) He'd find the experience absolutely fascinating, I'm sure!

If not surfing then Palatyne is wayyy off in the distance, visiting more of her sea monster pals. She can dive to crRAZY depths! Oh, and she was the one who packed the picnic (she loves baking). Melior is skulking about in some dark, damp cave nearby, doing God knows what. I've very little idea of what she gets up to most of the time and quite honestly I don't want to know.

If we’re going by ML lore then Lucy's there too. Reading, sun-bathing or engaging in some form of water-based sport. She and Tin’d take turns being the Mom Friend; Lucy more so bc in this universe she’s a medic and therefore Very Sun Safety Conscious! So she’d chase people around with sunscreen until they ran out of steam (girl's got mad stamina when it comes to anything health-related). Maybe she'd even put the stuff in a water gun and squirt it at passersby, regardless of who they are/whether she knows them or not. 😂 She'd also surreptitiously order Mel and whomever else several waters/soft drinks for every alcoholic beverage they consumed.

I’m thinking she probs burns p badly too! Or at the very least comes away having gained a number of freckles. 🥰🥰

The day probs ends w a beach bonfire and a meal prepared by Tintin. Seb and would Luce get all excited about how clear this sky is, allowing them to do a bit of stargazing! Seb would give Mel a piggyback back to the teleportation point, bc she's so sleeeeepy(/drunk, lmao).

(Bonus: If worlds collide and Jack tips up at any point Mel'd make it her mission to try to wipe him out with one of her Big Waves! Whether she’d actually succeed? Remains to be seen. Mans is slippery.... 🤨 And a good surfer, I'm guessing! (Is his board made out of ice? Bc that’d be RAD.))

I've been working on this fic for the past few months and my friends convinced me to start posting it :P I have about half? Of it actually written and the rest is all planned out in a rough draft, but I'm gonna be releasing chapters weekly until I catch up to myself. I'm happy to put it out there for people who want to see it, but pls be nice to me and don't leave mean or critical comments. This is purely for fun and comfort, and I just wanted to make something for the sake of doing it, not perfecting it. If this isn't your thing, I'm sure something else out there is!

I'm still a relatively new fan so there may be some inaccuracies surrounding lore/characterization/in-universe details so forgive me, I'm still learning. I have more WIPs on the go so hopefully they'll be a little better in that sense, but again this is just a silly fun time. Yes the first section is ripped right from the movie, I felt like doing that laid down the foundation for what I wanted to change and made it easier to transition from canon to fanon. I wanted to see what I had to twist and bend to put them in a scenario where they both survive the events of TROS and have to confront and unpack the things they did/why they did them/how they cope with the aftermath. It's not exactly a redemption arc, moreso focused on them facing the reality of their Situations and what lead them there, a look at the parallels and contrasts in their stories, and all the little things about their dynamic that make my brain rattle. It's also a bit of a personal, self indulgent fix it fic for me. I took what I wanted to see that the sequels didn't implement/expand on and I did it meself, ie. Finn is force sensitive, Finnpoe is canon, Ben and Rey's dynamic isn't romance driven and leans more towards estranged siblings. That last one I'm excited about bc it's not something I see often but it's really fun to explore because I love both of them and their interactions but personally in my brain it jives better platonically. I might be biased tho because I can't shake the kylux brainrot lol.

The title/chapter names are all based on songs that I felt fit the theme best because my autistic ass cannot stop making Connections™️. The title is a lyric from This Is How I Disappear by MCR, and ch1 is named after the song The Bitter End by Placebo.

AnYway, what I'm trying to say is that I had a lot of fun putting these guys in Situations and deciphering how they might react, and rewatching/researching/connecting dots with other media for inspiration. I hope it can bring someone as much joy reading it as I got from making it, and if it doesn't, that's ok too! I'm just happy I finally sat down and made something :D

The double standards in this fandom are INSANE. People are praising Taehyung left and right for being “iconic” at that after party while they were disrespecting Jimin and calling him every name in the book for going to a party in Paris and Jungkook as well for hanging out with his female tattoo artist and army have the guts to say “it was in 2019 now we have a much more positive voice”. Positive voice where ? This fandom has become even more unhinged since the pandemic started.

I guess people had a thought or two about double standards these past weeks 😅

It's a bit hard for me to try and think about how I felt in 2019, which is why it's taken me so long to answer this. It was really stressful and frustrating but it's been a while since I've just given up and accepted that's how it'll be. I don't get riled up about these things like I used to.

First, the easiest statement to deny: Taehyung never was, never is and probably never will be the one who gets the most hate. He doesn't get hate at all. Period. His fans think me saying he likes pussy is hate. Just go figure.

Even jikookers turned against Jimin during the three days (THREE DAYS 😭) he was in Paris because they thought he wouldn't be with JK for Jungkook's birthday. There was some Korean Jikooker (one who posted a photo of Jimin at the airport when coming from or going to Russia) who later said Jungkook was hanging out with mijoo because Jimin had been travelling. Did she think they were together and Jungkook couldn't keep his dick in his pants for a week or what? Make it make sense.

I want to point out a slight difference. We had almost real time "news" of Jimin. Let's say he arrived in Paris on a Tuesday, pictures of him were tweeted on Wednesday. And so on. This happened when he was in Vladivostok too, pictures and videos were posted almost inmediately after being taken. The only place where he actually wasn't seen a lot was Hawaii. Meanwhile with JK, it was all past events. The CCTV photo, the tattoos, we all found out about that a couple of weeks after they had actually happened.

I can't explain why but yes, there is a difference in reacting to real-time developments vs. reacting to "old" news. Personally, because it was real time and I actually saw the situation escalating from one minute to another, the way people reacted to Jimin in Paris was worse for me. It felt like a snowball getting bigger and bigger for absolutely no reason.

Now that I think about it, I think I literally blocked out of my mind what people were saying about Jungkook those days 😭😭😭😭 #darktimes it feels quite close to a literal trauma ngl. I remember thinking about him and everything, so much.. so so much my head hurt. My friends and I would talk on the phone trying to put together a timeline and connect the dots and try to discover if we were being lied to or what actually happened. I'm also pretty sure another reason I don't remember much is because I stalked a lot of japanese and Korean Twitter accounts, because they were posting lots of photos and tidbits of "info", some of it made sense and some were a stretch. But of course I didn't exactly understood what they were saying, so maybe that's why I don't remember much of what people said about Jungkook. It just wasn't in my language. People from my region were sooooo incredibly okay with the whole thing btw, they kept making jokes about it, they really took it so well. I don't remember seeing a lot of negativity in my language. So yeah, the backlash I saw was mostly from Japanese/Korean speaking antis because those were the accounts I was checking. I honestly didn't look or see tweets in english talking about it.

In hindsight, I wonder if there was so much mess because it was BTS first "break". So people were curious about where were they, who were they with, what were they doing. It still doesn't justify the way they tried to control Jimin.

Jikookers tho, masters at deflection, just stayed quiet and acted like nothing had happened.

And I guess that was another element to the whole thing: shippers. Why would Jimin go travel across the world without his partner. Why would Jimin hang out with random girls at a bar if he has a boyfriend. Why would Jungkook hug a woman if he's in a relationship with a different person. Why, why, why. Even if Namjoon had the same amount of fans Jimin and Jungkook have, the fact that he's not in any ship like that would've "protected" him from having his every move so scrutinized.

For Jungkook, the way I experienced the whole thing, it was a clash between the idea people had of Jungkook, and the real life Jungkook. Think of 2018 - early 2019 up until even June, the personification of baby star candy and the contrast with September 2019 Jungkook. The tattoos, the people he hung out with, the "type" of girl (!!!!!!!) he was hugging and rumoured to be dating. It was a lot. It's not surprising that he got the most backlash from Japanese and Korean people, even his own fans. I have two friends, both are Jungkook biased jikookers, we weren't surprised about the tattoos, we knew he was to get them one day; but I remember both of them saying stuff like "I would've never imagined he would date someone like her what happened to IU?!?!?" but I promise none of it was said or thought in a bad way, we were all just seeing a "new side" of him.

And then, probably (in my opinion) the most damaging misconception, the thing that really backfired against him, was that he was so casual about skinship with a woman when, according to the fandom, he was always terrified and disgusted of girls!!!!!!!!

As for Jimin, I think the fandom (international, at least) has this weird idea of him being a manwhore or whatever the word is, so that was also a factor in the whole thing. They thought he possibly couldn't be in a different country unless he was looking for people to have sex with or up to something shady. I know, he's irresistible. It was almost as if people were actively looking for reasons to "cancel" Jimin. Again; if people had this misconceptions of Namjoon, he probably also would've been scrutinized and people would've tried to prove he's a certain way like, "see what he's doing, i knew there was something shady about him."

Now with Taehyung, first of all, yes, the fandom is extremely different. Many of the people who were here in 2019 have left the fandom and the rest, we already know better. Secondly, I don't see many preconceived ideas of Taehyung that would make the fandom react in any of those two ways they reacted with Jimin and Jungkook.

They think he's queer, he was at a "queer" party ☑️

We all knew he's interested in fashion, he went to a fashion event ☑️

His friendship with Bogum was of public knowledge ☑️

Even him not waving or smiling to the fans was celebrated because the fandom already associates this "savage" and idgaf personality with him. ☑️

So pretty much all the boxes were ticked. It all checked out and that's why nobody had anything bad to say about him and why nobody cared.

If it had been Jimin, of course he was at a party with naked women. He probably went back to the hotel with all of them and they had sex while drugged.

If it had been Jungkook, no, you probably confused him with someone else, he wouldn't be at a party with girls, much less naked ones. Boobs are gross to him.

Once again, it also goes to show who's running the narratives in the fandom. Jimin went to a bar almost four years ago and the story has been so twisted and changed, it turned into him picking up minors, paying escorts, doing cocaine, who knows what else. I can't believe they're still lying about it to this day.

Anyways, I'm really tired of Taehyung stans. They don't have a moment of peace in their hearts. The way they just act as if Taehyung doesn't chain smoke even while being on schedules, but God forbid Jimin ever gets drunk in his free time. Let's not even get into how nicotine IS a drug, so by their own rules I should be allowed to call Taehyung a drug addict. He most likely smokes weed, too. Reality checks are already all lined up and up and coming for them, I'm afraid.

1: what are 3 things you’d say shaped you into who you are? - when I was eight years old I roleplayed on Animal Jam Dot Com. Through many domino effects this led to writing, my at least nine year mc//yt obsession, a person who absolutely made who I was throughout highschool, tumblr, All Of It - I'm not sure other than that. my life has been pretty standard. School stuff. Probably shouldn't have included everything in One domino effect technicality.

3. 3 films you could watch for the rest of your life and not get bored of? I don't actually watch movies much anymore. When I was younger however the answer was Disney's Robin Hood, Tangled, and the Aristocats. And I put this to the test. Much to the dismay of people around me sometimes.

5. what made you start your blog? My main blog, joining tumblr, I saw screenshots on Instagram that had probably been taken from Pinterest of Tumblr and it just seemed like The Place To Be. You couldn't get any attention on instagram, not in the way that I used it being a fool and Also Nine, but on tumblr you could make so many friends and get so much attention and be Part of Something. Bit cheesy. I was very young. In fact, I spent Years lamenting over tumblr because I wanted to be a good egg and only get it when I turned thirteen.

12. what’s some good advice you want to share? I guess just like, don't be afraid to center yourself, Especially on the internet. If you look back at my blog earlier then one would see I used to be an Absolute Pushover. Which is just... not good long term. Or short term. Or really at all. If you can't say what you want (obligatory provided it's not hurting anyone etc) on the internet, where anonymity is the thing and stakes are generally incredibly low bickering over minecraft guys then like. What is the point. How else are you going to express yourself if you let yourself be ruled by something so not important. (And you will get absolutely destroyed by the unimportant stuff, I guess it's like practice.) I used to be like, floundering over my opinions on rnboo and stuff and the Unpopular Takes or whatever but you know! Just. just say em. If you're not putting anyone else down about it. Everyone deserves to be able to scream into the void. And boy do I take advantage of that. Regularly. And General You, The Reader, should also start doing this I think.
