Jack and the other folks at the gym; how they met, what their relationships are like, how they are with Matt etc.
For you, anon. I have an old fic that answers all of these questions.
It’s written from the perspective of Jack’s best friend and sparring partner Rudy DeLuca.
Title: Tape
Summary: There were two generations of devils at Fogwell’s Gym
Warnings: child abuse, physical abuse, references to drug use and suicide/suicide attempts, and foster care
-------------
There was a famed baby at the gym at the moment and Rudy was scheming how to get it into his arms when the old man caught him leaning on the front desk and told him that he had two whole grandbabies waitin’ for him at home.
Matty took that moment to fly in from the back room where he’d been harrassing the shit out of the new ‘clerk’ (as Fogwell called him) to ask if Tina had finally popped.
Rudy was caught off guard by the image of Tina beating the shit out of Matt for that and then by the wave of nostalgia that the kid’s sudden enthusiasm bought.
“Well, look who’s here?” he drawled instead, slowly turning around towards the beast. “Where you been, neighbor?”
Matt beamed at him.
He looked good.
Happy.
Far, far too happy.
Rudy squinted.
Matt waited a beat, then scrambled back into staff entrance and knocked shit over on the desk back there in his haste to go hide behind Fogwell.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
That’s right, troublemaker, go hide behind Grandpa. He’ll protect you, you little shit.
The new gym baby was a full two months old. He was fat and grumpy and his papa’s pride and joy already. Rudy managed to snag an opportunity to get the thing into his arms when Bert and Kenny came in, signaling for the youths that the senior citizen shift had begun.
Fogwell was the most distinguished of the senior citizens, but, of course, he would wait his turn until the rest of them had finished lavishing attention upon his fiftieth great-grandbaby.
Baby’s papa was proud as a peacock.
“His name’s Henry,” he told Rudy, while Henry wrinkled his nose and eyes up at him.
Henry.
Ehn.
Terrible name.
“He looks like a John,” Rudy said.
Papa, who Rudy had forgotten the name of at least six times since he’d joined the gym, laughed.
“I thought about callin’ him Jack,” he said. “But my girl drew the line there.”
Ah.
Right.
This was that kid.
Kenny had gathered everyone into a group huddle in the changing room the other week to explain seriously how they all needed to avoid the fuck out of this guy. He’d said in a whisper that the guy was one of them people into vintage shit.
A hipster, he meant.
A fuckin’ hipster in their midst.
God, there were more and more of them in the gym every day.
Rudy lifted an eyebrow at baby Henry.
He didn’t deserve to be called Henry. He really did look more like a John. But, for the sake of the dead, Rudy decided that he’d squint for as hard and long as it took for him to become a Henry.
 ---
Fogwell’s had been legendary back in the day for producing pro boxers out of good-for-nothin’, trouble-makin’ guys with no other prospects.
Fogwell was that general from Mulan who made men out of boys (and the occasional girl. And the most recent kid who said that they weren’t a guy or a gal and if anyone wanted to throw down about it, they were posting their number on the cork board by the front desk).
Back in Rudy’s youth, that had been appealing as hell. And so he’d had a swagger on into the place, thinking that maybe he would pop his guns a bit in Fogwell’s direction and get the polishing he needed to make enough money to buy his girl a ring.
On the upside, Fogwell had, in fact, noticed him. But the downside was that Rudy had had no fucking clue what that actually meant, and so three years later, he’d found himself smoking only twice a week instead of every day, drinking goddamn protein shakes, and doing a daily fuckin’ jog like a military brat.
Fogwell had no time for dumb shit. He didn’t care if you wanted to kill yourself slowly with whatever vice you picked from the basket, but if you walked into the ring with his name on your back, then you would disgrace that name on pain of divine retribution.
It was way easier just to get one step ahead of the guy’s nit-picking than to suffer his judgemental silence.
That had been Fogwell back in the day, and that was still Fogwell in the now.
But as with any force of nature, even if the old man had planted his feet and announced his intention to rest there in that place for the next two millenia, the world around him still carried on spinning around.
Fogwell’s wasn’t just a facility for churning out pros these days. It wasn’t just legendary, now.
It was a fuckin’ institution.
God help them.
They were a tourist destination. Ghost hunters, folks on buses, sports fans, teen girls with a mighty need for a vintage-lookin’ selfie. You name it. They pressed their noses up against the yellowed glass to watch the people inside break their bodies down to build them up into something money-making.
It wasn’t an unwarranted curiosity, to be fair.
Fogwell had produced twenty pro boxers in the last several decades who’d really made it. Like, really, really made it.
Bert was one of them—to literally every one of the senior citizens’ surprise.
Bert had been a empty-headed wise-guy with a porn-stache at best way back when. And like, don’t get Rudy wrong, he was still an empty-headed wise-guy. He was just an empty-headed wise guy with a head like a helmet and a whole lot of money now.
Not that you’d have known it from lookin’ at him.
Bless him.
He was paying college tuition for all his kids and he was helping the older ones vet kindergartens with tuition or what the fuck ever, doing all that he could so that those babies didn’t have to live life out of Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese boxes like him.
Bert had made it. That was the dream.
The dream was just that, though. A shot in the dark. A drop in a bucket. Kenny had done alright, just like Rudy had done alright. They’d had their ten minutes of time in the spotlight. Had made enough to get by. Had made enough to be comfortable in Hell’s Kitchen. To retire and become personal trainers or sports commentators or whatever the fuck opportunity jumped up in their faces.
A lot of fellas hadn’t made it, though. And then there were the Almosts.
Jackie had been an Almost, god rest his soul.
This new hipster kid at the gym with his baby had latched onto Jack’s image, found in old magazines and grainy footage, and had decided that that whole vibe fit the image that he wanted to live in.
It made Rudy sick. It made Kenny angry—hence the group huddle.
There were about seven of them left who’d both known Jackie and who still used the gym on the regular. Eight if you included Fogwell.
Nine if you included Matty.
Jesus fuckin’ help them.
This dumbass hipster kid didn’t even know who Matty was. Most of the newcomers didn’t. He was just some bright, perky blind guy to them. He was Center-Left-Second-Back bag. That was his bag.
And he was good.
He was a curiosity to the newcomers and the people pressed against glass—one of a handful of middle-weights in a sea of heavyweights. He didn’t look like everyone else. He wasn’t packing muscle like everyone else. He was lithe and coiled and looked, honestly, a little out of place to folks who didn’t know the gym as Home #2.
He was interesting to the newcomers mostly because he was 100% Fogwell’s favorite. Fogwell doted on him by ribbing him and bullying him viciously, by bumping into him and throwing him off mark left and right, and all the while, Matty just beamed.
The newbies thought he got preferential treatment because he was blind. But that wasn’t it. Matty got treated that way because that was how his grandpa told him he loved him.
 ---
Before Jake and Carlos and Omar and Matty, Jack had been Fogwell’s favorite up-and-coming rookie.
It had been no secret. Well. To most people.
Jack had been horrified when he’d found out.
No one wanted to be Fogwell’s favorite. That’s how you went pro whether you liked it or fucking not.
Jack had pleaded with Kenny for hours to take his place, but there was nothing that could be done. Jackie was the youngest and Jackie had come from a shit home life and Jackie would do anything and everything Fogwell told him to do because he was just that kind of sweet and respectful.
Fogwell could smell Jack’s lack of a father-figure on him like Chanelle No. 5.
He could smell it miles away.
Jack had actually been at the gym before Rudy had joined up. He’d been around since he was about seventeen. He’d come in on the heels of his big brother who wanted to go pro.
It quickly became apparent to Fogwell that Tom Murdock didn’t have what it took to be a boxer. He was just a bully. But that little brother of his, Tom’s punching bag, now he had some talent. He had the diligence and respect that the game, in Fogwell’s opinion, was severely lacking.
So Fogwell did what he did best and drove a wedge slowly between Tom and baby Jackie, separating the two of them so that he could get his mitts on Jackie and do something with him before Tom and his junkie sister took Jackie down with them.
Rudy had met Jack soon after Jack’s eldest brother had been arrested for murdering his wife and stepdaughter.
The kid was a wreck. He’d just turned 18.
He didn’t talk. He just fought and fought and fought until he cried and cried and cried. All on his own, from 5pm to 1am, at Center-Left-Second-Back.
Fogwell let him.
Fogwell came over to put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed when he finally dropped from exhaustion.
It was hard to watch.
The older guard at the time had bared their teeth and clenched their jaws as Jackie had pummeled his heart out against that bag.
No one could help him.
Everyone but Rudy, at that time, had seen the man he’d walked into the gym with. They’d seen this coming a mile away. And over a few days of that, it become clear to Rudy that Jack didn’t have a home to go back to that didn’t scream at him from morning until night. At that time, the gym for him was Home #1.
 ---
It took about a year, but Rudy eventually got to know this weeping, heartbroken boy from the worst side of the Kitchen.
Rudy learned from the others about the Murdocks.
They were sinners and drunkards and addicts, word had it. The police were always in and out of their rooms, taking one of the five kids or one of the parents to jail for some damn reason or another. Neighbors wasted their hard-earned money on phone calls to the police for domestic disputes and violence and so on and so on. Everyone on the streets said to be careful of the Murdocks, especially them boys.
They got the devil in ‘em.
But not Jackie, Rudy learned.
He was shy, bless him. He wasn’t suited to those others’ kind of life.
Rudy actually had felt, for the second time in his life, strong brotherly feelings around this kid. He and his own sister didn’t get on until someone threatened the other. Then it was no-holds-barred, bear-like feelings. Just them against the world.
But Jack was different. He had puppy eyes with a constant black one and perpetually chapped lips. It had never occurred to him that he could spend a buck buying chapstick. It had never occurred to him that he could have friends that he didn’t have to smile at until his face hurt.
He didn’t really get what it meant to have relationships with other people and for the first six months of their acquaintance, Jack refused to meet Rudy’s eye, much less say more than five words to him.
He was more than respectful.
He was skittish.
The other guys, who were happy to haze Rudy, warned him that he if so much as looked at that kid, Fogwell would break his bones and his career would be over before it even started.
It had definitely turned into a kind of spite thing.
Rudy had absolutely been that kind of shithead back then.
He’d started by offering to hold Jack’s bag while he worked out his aggression. That had been a mistake.
He’d caught Fogwell snickering at him about ten minutes into it, after trying and failing that whole time to find a way to plant his feet that would let him actually hold onto the bag.
Jack had noticed.
Jack had gotten flustered and freaked out bad enough that Rudy had been forced to leave him be or else he’d hyperventilate or go hide in the backroom in a cupboard or something in self-flagellation.
It took some practice and some muscle, but they got there in the end.
Jack was a great sparring partner because he did not fucking go down. It was like trying to fight a pine tree sometimes. He would, could, and did take hit after hit without batting an eye.
And when it was his turn for offense?
Rudy was well aware that he’d signed up to be a human punching bag, but this? This was a lot.
Fogwell critiqued the fuck out of Jack’s everything.
His form.
His posture.
His aim.
His drive.
His commitment.
His tape.
His fucking hair.
Jack thought he was like that with everyone.
Rudy loved that kid like a brother, but he wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box. Not by far.
That had become more clear when Kenny joined their mottley crew and, aggravatingly sharp, had taken to teasing Jack. That was more frustrating for Kenny than anyone else because Jackie didn’t get a single joke or jibe.
No, Jack didn’t know Seinfield. Or Friends. Or Charlie’s Angels. No, he didn’t know anything about cars. No, he didn’t know about physics or chemistry or math. What the fuck was English lit? Wait, what’s the difference between books and literature?
God.
Bless.
That.
Kid.
He wasn’t unintelligent, he just wasn’t academic.
He was sweet about it, though. The youngest of five, he had no choice but to be sweet because all his siblings called him hopeless and useless and stupid, so he had to be something and so pretty it was.
Rudy had never met someone who performed so well under pressure and around two years into their friendship and, suddenly privy to the full extent of Jack’s honestly horrific, borderline surreal upbringing, he finally got it.
But then along came Grace.
The Lord’s agent herself.
Jack was a good Catholic boy who saw a nun and dropped his eyes, but for some reason, this novice caught his gaze and he was gone.
He got dopey and dreamy the night after she and some friends had snuck out in their novice habits to see a load of guys in desperate need of the Lord hitting on each other.
It was tooth-decaying the way Jack swooned for that girl.
Her name was Margaret, she told him saucily at the church one street over from the one he’d grown up attending, but he could call her ‘Grace.’
Jack banged his melon on a locker a week later at the gym and the jolt make him realize that he was in love with her.
He cracked his head a second time with everyone watching him in a mix of pity, exhaustion, and indulgence and then scurried off to the bathroom to hyperventilate over a urinal.
“Someone go keep Baby M from drowning in a sink,” Horace Whalin, a professional beast at the start of his career, had sighed.
Everyone had looked right at Rudy.
 ---
Grace was the worst thing that could ever have happened to Jack.
Everyone at the gym knew it. Fogwell hated that girl with a cold passion.
She made Jack stupider than usual. Bolder than ever.
She made him think and made him question things and like, that was probably a good thing in terms of Jack’s life experience and mental health, but in terms of boxing?
Not good.
Fogwell was openly dreaming up schemes to break them up the day Jack came tearing into the gym and announced that he was getting married.
It took everything in Rudy not to start cackling right then and there. The entire gym’s necklines bulged with the effort not to fucking laugh. Fogwell went silent and blank.
He’d waved Jack in close and and when he came—because he would always come to Fogwell, no matter what—the old man set a hand on Jack’s shoulder and told him that if he brought that woman into the gym he’d kill him.
Jack stared up at him and said that they were getting married in a church, Coach. Why would he bring her to the gym?
At that point, it would have taken a saint not to laugh and the gym was full of only sinners.
 ---
Grace was the worst thing that had ever happened to Jack, but Matty was by far, the best thing.
Fogwell, after being vindicated upon Jack and Grace’s abrupt and tragic separation, found that Matt could be used as a motivator for his up-and-comer.
Matty, of course, played the part beautifully.
He was unfairly cute with those delicate, whispy red locks and them big hazel eyes. He was bubbly and chatty. An unrelenting troublemaker. Just a barrel of laughs.
Fogwell took to letting Jack put Matty’s carrier on a bench next to the ring or on one of the metal bleachers around the mats in the weights and sparring room. He found that if Matty started whining or crying, that Jack got twice as motivated to finish whatever task was at hand with maximum efficiency.
Matt was the best thing to ever happen to Jack’s boxing career, truly.
He also immediately became the gym’s darling because all the veterans there at that point were dads. Rudy himself had had his first girl Tina the year before, but unlike Jack, the rest of them had childcare arrangements and the money to maintain them.
 ---
It was just natural for people to gravitate towards the baby. Out of paternal instincts, yeah, but also because Matty was a source of constant entertainment.
He called everyone uncle until he was seven and he needed to be negotiated with to leave Fogwell be until he was nine. Fogwell didn’t mind him. Fogwell had unwittingly adopted him.
Matty didn’t meet his own uncles and grandpa. Jack couldn’t bear that. He took Matty to meet Bill, Jack’s eldest brother—the one who’d killed his wife—in jail and afterwards had been heart-broken and anxious for days.
Grace did not approve, it turned out.
Grace, who went by Maggie at that point, and who had given up her rights to be the mother of Jack’s child, remained one of Jack’s closest and dearest friends.
They still loved each other, and in Fogwell’s very correct opinion, that was nothing but trouble. He snatched Matty at every opportunity and informed him softly but firmly that he was not going to fall in love with a nun when he was big or there would be consequences.
Matt seemed to have come to understand this rule over time, but he never seemed to put together pieces as to why Fogwell was so insistent about it.
 ---
When Jack turned up murdered, everyone at the gym decided that it was their fault.
It was surreal.
Unbelieveable.
He’d been right there, just fine, laughing and smiling the day before. Rudy had held his bag and Jack had told him to tell the girls and Mel that he missed them.
And, in a moment of crushing realization back then, Rudy had understood the implications of those words and then remembered how good Jack had always been about smiling at people.
He knew how to make himself seem okay and unimportant. He knew how to fade into the background.
Fogwell took it hard.
He blamed himself for not recognizing how bad things had gotten at home for Jack and Matty. He blamed himself for not booking him for more jobs, for pushing him harder and harder on his form lately.
Matty was taken away by social services and his absence from the table at the gym the next day finally brought out the tears that Rudy hadn’t been able to let fall.
He tried.
He tried, he did.
Over the years, Matty had become a brother to Tina, Angie, and Penelope. He fit right in that two-year gap between Tina and Angie. Rudy had him over when Jack worked and Jack had the girls when Mel needed a break from the screaming and crying. And really, by then, everyone’s kids were everyone’s at the gym.
It wasn’t a matter of who belonged to who, it was more of a matter of when someone belonged to someone.
Rudy tried to get custody or at least foster rights. Mel gave herself an ulcer over it, trying to think of how to arrange things to make their home safe for Matt. Trying to think of how to make space for him. He could share a room with Tina. They were still young. They probably wouldn’t mind after some growing pains. But social services said that that wasn’t possible. Matt was too high-risk for them. They didn’t have enough experience with ‘his type of child.’
Which was bullshit.
Matt wasn’t high-risk, Matty was traumatized and scared and with people he didn’t know, who didn’t know him.
That was what made him high-risk.
He knew Rudy and Mel’s house. He knew their girls. He knew their neighborhood.
Still, nothing.
Fogwell himself tried. Shocked the shit out of everyone at the gym, but Social services sadly shook their heads.
By then, Matt had been placed out already.
 ---
Matt disappeared for five years. Just vanished completely. There was no sight of him until one day, Tina came home and said that ‘oh yeah, I saw Matty today’ while playing with her food at the dinner table.
Rudy and Mel had set down their forks.
Tina sighed and said that he was taller now, but he didn’t look good.
He looked sick, she said. With dark rings around his eyes and broken sunglasses. He’d been sleeping, leaning against the side of some stairs out in his school uniform at the Catholic highschool a few blocks away.
She’d poked at her chicken and then set down her fork and excused herself.
Rudy stroked her hair that night as she cried into her pillow for her lost brother.
 ---
Matt was, by fifteen, a troubled kid.
Rudy heard shouting one day from Clinton Church and stepped out to see what was happening. He was shocked to see that familiar ginger mop struggling in the arms of two cops, swearing that if these people took him back to wherever he’d come from, that he’d kill himself. He’d do it. Don’t try him.
The priest was called.
Matt was forced down to the ground and handcuffed, still fighting.
It was--it was a whole lot to see. Kenny swore softly behind him and Bert left them to go back inside. He went to the bathroom and didn’t join them out on the mats for a while.
 ---
Fogwell decided around then that enough was enough.
He went to the church and asked if he could borrow Matt for a while. He needed some help getting his accounts together and he knew Matt was a bright kid. Giving him a little work experience in a familiar and disciplined setting would be good for him.
But Matt wasn’t there.
 ---
The hospital didn’t allow anyone to visit Matt. He apparently hadn’t earned the privilege of visitors from anyone who wasn’t on his care team.
Rudy felt numb at the front desk.
Jack’s boy had tried to kill himself. He’d warned them all that he would do it.
He’d apparently screamed himself hoarse that he wanted to be with his dad in the ground.
He was still screaming.
This wasn’t the first time he’d done any of this, Rudy came to learn through a few whispered conversations with some nuns from St. Agnes.
Grace had found him after the three attempts the nuns knew of. This last one was just bad enough that she couldn’t bring him back from the edge.
Grace’s eldest younger sister had committed suicide. Grace had found her and then left home immediately become a novice. To find her own son as she’d once found her sister was cosmic and divine cruelty—enough that even Fogwell shook his head and said it just wasn’t right.
 ---
The first time Rudy saw Matty after the whole situation, he looked exactly as Tina said he did. Tired. With dark circles. Thin. His clothes threatened to fall off of him. They were threadbare and had holes in them here and there.
Matty didn’t talk.
He moved his head around a lot and jerked when anyone spoke to him or brushed against him, and he scrambled back and tripped sometimes if he was touched directly.
It was like looking at a smaller, thinner version of Jack all those years ago—this time with tightly bound wrists and a hospital bracelet that looked like it had been stretched and torn and chewed on.
Fogwell asked Matt if he thought he could do something with the accounts.
Matt said nothing.
Fogwell gave him a box of receipts and bits and bobs of payment cards and IOUs and Matt had frowned and put his hand into the box to touch its feathery contents. He’d lifted his face up in Fogwell’s direction and sneered.
“You can’t seriously live like this,” he’d said in a voice that almost brought tears to Rudy’s eyes. He’d heard Kenny clear his throat behind him.
 ---
Matty was the smartest person Rudy had ever met.
He set Fogwell’s accounts into order in an afternoon and then he fucked off for a few days, only to come back and digitize the whole thing after making the Big Man himself sit with him and read everything out individually to him as punishment for his nasty, twentieth-century ways.
Matt was disgusted with Grandpa’s living conditions.
He banged into every object in the backroom and swore like a sailor, loud enough that the folks hitting shit in the front room could hear him.
It was hard not to laugh.
“WHY?” Matt finally raged at Grandpa. “WHY. WHY. WHY?”
Grandpa shrugged.
Matt flailed at him in agitation at the lack of verbal answer and told him to get into the fartherest corner of the room and to get a pen, they were going to organize.
Matt was the reason that Fogwell’s Gym had survived for long enough to become a tourist trap.
Matt put every document in that place in order, ready for an audit. He made computer systems for payments and receipts and direct debits. He singlehandedly bullied Fogwell into the new century and made him get a card machine.
He bitched and moaned and belly-ached until Fogwell had interviewed a handful of tax people with actual, non-criminal reputations and picked one and once he was done with all that, Matt harrassed him to invest in a deep clean for the place and to make it accessible by ADA guidelines—the whole nine yards.
Matt, at fifteen, breathed new life into Fogwell’s Gym and it was kind of amazing how the place went from barely hanging on to a decent business once more.
 ---
After that, Matt seemed to be doing a lot better.
He didn’t have any more foster home placements. He didn’t try to hurt himself again. He decided, instead, that he was going to graduate highschool. He’d failed a fuckload of classes, though. Rudy found him despairing in the backroom over these and settled in across from him and asked to see the reports.
They weren’t good.
Matty’s teachers wrote constantly that Matt was extremely bright, but failed to participate in class or turn pretty much anything in for a grade. He slept in class. He seemed dazed. He didn’t ask for help or give any indication that he needed it.
His assigned para said that she found him challenging to work with. He was resistant to questions and seemed to be angry or, at best, uninterested in her speaking to him.
He was way behind.
Rudy had tapped the reports against the table back there and had taken a deep breath.
“It’s okay,” he told Matt. “We’ve got two years. We can make this work.”
And Matty’s head had jerked up from the table.
“We?” he’d asked in a small voice.
 ---
Matt really, really struggled with high school. Not because he wasn’t smart enough, but because his experience was so wildly different from other kids. He didn’t go home like they did. He went to St. Agnes’s. He didn’t play video games, he read books. He didn’t smoke cigarettes or joints. He didn’t drink. He was under constant surveillance.
He was bullied. Relentlessly.
Fogwell was quietly furious when Matt came in a few times a week to type away at the desk, inputting receipts for the new secretary to deal with later. Matt was always hurt. Always fighting.
He got his classwork done out of spite, seemingly, but then went home to the orphanage and got harrassed the whole way.
He fought his peers like the devil himself.
It was…
There was…
Something not quite right with him.
 ---
Bert pointed out when Matt was seventeen that he didn’t always use his stick like other blind folks. He forgot it sometimes and wandered around the gym like anyone else.
He didn’t trip over anything or keep fingers touching the wall like he usually did in other places.
They all chocked it up to him having grown up in the place.
Matt asked Fogwell to let him train.
Center-left-second-back.
That was Jack’s bag.
That was his son’s bag.
The veteran boxers all cycled through teaching Matt how to box. He knew—they all knew Matt already knew how, but there was always shit to learn.
Except that sometimes there wasn’t?
Matt seemed to already know everything that they taught him, including the nit-picky, little things. He listened to their descriptions, let them manipulate his hands and arms and hips, and then did what they asked immediately and with perfect form.
It was eerie.
It just wasn’t right. There was just something about it that wasn’t right. Rudy couldn’t put his finger on it.
 ---
Matt graduated highschool the year after Tina and it was only when Rudy saw the draft of the commencement program slip out of his bag on one of the benches that Rudy realized that Matty hadn’t mentioned it to anyone.
He picked up the program while Matt was attacking his bag and considered it, then did what was done in the gym and handed the program off to Fogwell who, in a booming voice, told Baby M to get the fuck over there, front and center.
Matt clung to his bag in terror at the sound. He, unlike his daddy, had the good sense to be reluctant to follow Fogwell’s orders. Eventually, with his tail between his legs, he skulked over and had his nose shoved in the program.
He pawed at it when Fogwell made him acknowledge it and mumbled something about not going.
Which was absurd.
“It’s not a big deal,” Matt said. “I’m not valedictorian or anything. It’s just highschool. And no one’s got time to go anyways, so what’s the point if it’s just me?”
God, this kid.
 ---
Matt’s graduation was very Catholic. Far more Catholic than Tina’s had been, but when Rudy looked over his shoulder, he was pretty sure that even a school this Catholic hadn’t been prepared for the influx of nuns hurrying down from Clinton’s church, all bustling and excited about young Matthew actually getting his diploma.
Between those four (aw, Grace. Look at you trying to play it smooth) and the seven boxing families who’d shown up, Matt was embarrassed to the point of tears. He’d hidden behind his mortarboard for the thirty minutes it took for people started calling folks up on stage.
He didn’t want to come out to take any pictures afterwards, but Tina wasn’t letting that happen. Her sisters leapt on board with the program and Rudy had managed at least one picture of the four of them smiling. Even better, he had one of Matt trying desperately to keep a smile while Fogwell stood stiffly next to him in stone-faced approval.
 ---
Matty was the first in the gym’s kid’s generation to graduate college, and then he was the only one to go on to law school.
It was only at that big graduation that Rudy finally saw Matt beaming like a loon—like he had up at Jack as a baby, but this time at the long-haired, chubby guy next to him.
This, legend had it, was the Roommate.
The one Matt refused to speak about to anyone at the gym.
Period.
At all.
There was no discussion.
That is, until he was forced by Fogwell standing menacingly over him in silent demand for a hug, to introduce them all to Foggy.
Foggy Nelson.
And then, just like that. It was exactly Jack all over again.
Veins bulging as everyone tried desperately not to laugh at Fogwell’s face at the realization that Matty had gone out and found a better, nicer Fog-person to be friends with.
 ---
Foggy Nelson—Edward Nelson from the hardware store’s son—was not fucking good enough for Matty, Fogwell decided. He’d begun a stoic campaign to introduce Matt to every available boxer’s son and daughter in the city in the hopes that a little nudge would get Matty away from all them conniving lawyer-folk. That was all fine and well with Matt because Matt, they’d all learned after a few years in his company again, was a horrendous flirt.
God, this boy.
Incorrigible.
He flirted with Tina and Angie and Penelope and got slapped every time.
He flirted with Bert’s daughter Becka.
He flirted with Becka’s husband.
He flirted with Kenny’s son’s best friend at the son’s wedding.
He flirted with the new secretary’s sister-in-law.
He was completely unstoppable.
Kenny approved.
But Kenny also asked Matt pointedly if he and his roommate had worked things out yet and that sent Matt scowling and shuffling off to go hide behind Fogwell, wherever he was, for emotional support.

 Matt was Daredevil.
He had to be.
Everyone in the gym suspected this.
He was too good at fighting. To flexible. Too sturdy and relentless and angry to be anyone else. They all recogized his shoulders in those little blips of videos people posted online. They recognized how close he got to people from the way he get up in his bag’s imagined face.
He had some kind of superpower—some kind of 360 degree awareness was the best Rudy could describe it.
He felt like he remembered Jack freaking out about something like this a million years ago. Nattering on about super-senses in the aftermath of the accident.
Fogwell was the one who’d brought it up again after he’d noticed that Matt liked to come in at night and spar on his own.
One time, just once, he’d left one of the security cameras on, concerned that Matty might get mugged in the night on his own there.
But Matty wasn’t getting mugged anytime soon.
No, for real.
Matt was…maybe something a little beyond them.
The video Fogwell had shown the older guys before deleting it and telling everyone to mind their own fucking business had shown Matt throwing his weight at the bag—throwing legs and fists—in complicated, almost choreographed movements that spoke of lethal intent.
He moved like a weasel. Like a predator.
Like a devil.
God knew where he’d learned those moves. The boy had lived a lot of life in those few years he’d fallen off of the gym’s radar. There was no telling who he’d met or how he’d learned to be as he was, but things made a lot more sense after that.
Jackie had had a devil in him. It only made sense that his dramatic-ass kid had one, too.
Matty had made something more of himself than his daddy. In so many other things, but in this, too.
Fogwell’s Gym was protected. It was home to a devil in disguise.
 ---
The hipster Jack-fan appeared with baby Henry a few more times before Bert asked him if he knew that his hero’s kid, who’d lived the life baby Henry was currently living, was actually a regular at the gym.
Hipster-kid gaped and fell over himself trying to ask Bert if he could meet the guy.
Bert smirked. And then waved across the place over to where Matt had just slithered in with absurd orange sneakers that he was very proud of. He was clearly on the hunt to go show Fogwell so that he could be disgusted.
He froze when Bert called his name.
The hipster’s jaw dropped.
“Matty, come tell this man about your daddy,” Bert said.
Matt stared.
Then made a sad, aborted gesture with his free hand that said that he had very important annoyances to make of himself, so could this maybe wait?
“You’re—you’re--?” the hipster stammered.
“Matt Murdock,” Matt said hurriedly. “Great to meet you? You’re the one with the kid, right? Congrats. Have either of you seen Fogwell?”
The hipster blinked.
“Uh?” he said. “Not today?”
Matt scowled.
“He’s not escaping these,” he said, tapping his way angrily back to the door. “I got him a matching set. No one is escaping them.”
The gym at large watched him stalk back out the door, tapping away furiously, no doubt on the way down the block to Fogwell’s house.
“That’s Matt Murdock?” the hipster asked.
“Man, I thought he’d be taller,” another newbie said.
“Kid, that is the least of your problems when it comes to Matt Murdock,” Bert laughed. “Now, all of you, back to work. This ain’t a dog and pony show. Go on.”

Tumblr media
Back in Gabby’s life, her and Adam had bought a house in Ann Arbor Michigan where they planned to raise their baby. A baby boy named Ashen Page. 8 months into her pregnancy she was on lock down not knowing when the baby would come, other on Adam’s hand he still had to wrestle.
“He’s not home yet?” Parker said, “Nope.” Gabby sighed. Gabby and Parker were facetiming while she sat on their couch, waiting for Adam to arrive home. Minutes later she heard the sound of the door being unlocked, “Ok he’s here I’ll call you back.” She hung up the phone. Adam entered the house, hair in ponytail, luggage draped over his shoulder. “Hi baby!” Adam dropped his bags and ran to where Gabby was, “Hi!”
They kissed, when Gabby noticed something...off, “Have you been drinking again?” “Of course not, babe.” Adam placed his hand on a frustrated Gabby's stomach. While she was pregnant, her and Adam promised he’d sober up, unless it was drinking for work. She immediately moved his hand off her, “I’m not fucking dumb Adam, I can taste the whisky in your breath.” she rolled her eyes. They sat down on the couch, “I was stressed about work and you and Ashen, I just had to.”
“You sound fucking dumb, if I can’t drink for 9 months, you can’t either.” Gabby shook her head in disappointment. “When are you gonna become more understanding Gabrielle, like fuck!”
“More understanding?! I’ve been nothing but understanding bro.” A tear ran down her face. “It’s like you want me to be this person that can wrestle, and be a great dad, and pleasure you, plus be your emotional support system? I can’t do it all.” “So what? Am I asking for too much? Because if I went to Joey and asked him to be my emotional support system, or fuck it. Go to him for sex them what would you do Adam?” Gabby wiped her tears, crossing her arms. “Really? Maybe I wasn’t wrong about you and Kenny then!” he shouted.
“What is it Adam? You think we fucked? Kissed? Want each other? I’ve told you it's not like that at all. You're the only man I want.” Gabby teared up again. Adam couldn’t bear to see Gabby cry anymore, so he pulled her into a hug. “I’m sorry about the drinking babe.” “It’s ok, I love you”. Adam used the tips of his thumbs to wipe the tears off her face, lifting Gabby’s shirt rubbing her baby bump. “Love you so much more.”
All the way over in Jacksonville, Brianna was getting ready to film a BTE bit. She had agreed to film with Brandon and Frankie Kazarian, and was a bit excited. “Alright, Brianna you ready?” Brandon asked, Bri nodded enthusiastically. “Kaz you ready?” She looked over at Frankie and he was glaring at her. “Yeah, I’m ready.” He said in a sharp tone.
She went back and got into place and Brandon started filming.
Bri was hunched over looking through Twitter on her phone, not watching where she was going. “OW- What the shit!?” Frankie Kazarian yelped. Bri quickly looked away from her phone to see that her foot was on top of Frankie’s heel. “Oh my god. I am so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going-” she rambled. Frankie was steamed. He was already angry, as usual, and this made it a MILLION times worse.
“You know what I am sorry for BRI-ANNA?” He asked quite loudly which made everyone turn to look at him. “I'm sorry that someone as talented as Joey Janela wasted his hard earned money on someone like you.” Bri opened her mouth to apologize again but was cut off. “HOW are you even back here? I don’t know if you have read the fucking signs EVERYWHERE, but this is for talent only! What talent do you have Bri? Besides getting on your knees for people other than the Lord himself?” Kazarian was extremely dramatic with everything he said during BTE- but this seemed a little too real.
“Like honestly, as soon as you get here you have Marq Quen following you around like you’re important; and then the very next day I SEE you talking to Cash Wheeler- who has only been here for a couple WEEKS?! I’m surprised you didn’t all go in a room together and fuck yourselves, or maybe you did.”
Bri was actually concerned. “How the hell does he know who I’ve been with… this wasn’t in the script?” She began to notice everyone around listening into her conversation whispering to each other. “This is so embarrassing.” she thought. “What else have you done here? You’re by far the LEAST relevant outta of your little friend group, and you crave attention so much - so now you got it! Should I go off and check everyone you’ve batted your eyelashes at since you’ve been here?”
Bri shook her head no, but it was too late. “There was Marq of course, then when you got bored with him you crawled over to the new hottest thing; Cash Wheeler. But do they know who you’ve had between them?” Bri’s eyes slightly widened.  “You had made heart eyes, with not one but ALL members of Team Taz. What is wrong with you?! Two of them have families of their own, You damn homewrecker!” She saw some of the people backstage shake their heads.
“Kaz… stop.” she mumbled under her breath.
“Nah nah, don’t be quiet now you fucking cheater! Everyone has heard you, like when you thought since you were in a janitor closet with Austin Gunn no one would notice the strange moans coming out of them?” Shit. Bri was tired of hearing this man exposing her, “I told you - that wasn’t me. This arena is old, could have been a ghost Frankie.” she lied of course, but she would do anything to get out of this situation.
“Last time I checked we were at a wrestling arena not a damn haunted mansion. Everyone is smart enough to know the difference between a moan full of fucking pleasure from a cry from a ‘ghost’.”
Brandon Cutler began to lower his camera but Kazarian yelled at him. “Don’t you fucking dare cut this! We’re all about being real, well THIS right here,” as he points as Brianna, “Is as real as we’re gonna get. Because some people are stupid enough to let bitches like this come in here and suck off the whole roster.” Bri was shocked.
“Who are you calling a bitch? I know the least important member of SCU isn’t talking. Let me talk to Scorpio.” she rolled her eyes, there was no way in hell this was getting posted online. “Sorry, he’s trying to stay away from women that seduces half of the indie wrestlers on Dark.”
Bri slapped Frankie with tears starting to form into her eyes, “You ain’t shit.” and she meant every word. She didn’t care that Cutler was calling her name, or even some of the wrestlers trying to stop her- she had to get out of not only this situation, but the arena as fast as possible.

“Why are there so many rooms in this damn arena?” Adriana questioned as she was acting like she was looking for Tony Khan’s office. She had been searching everywhere as Brandon Cutler followed her with his camera. The camera cut to her in front of the Elite locker room, raising her hand to knock at the door. A relieved Kenny popped in the doorway. “Oh Adriana, am I glad to see you!” He moved over and invited Adriana into the room, closing the door behind him.
“Well, I would love to sit here with you Kenny, but could you show me where Khan’s office is-?” Kenny pushed his finger onto her lips making her shush. “Shhh, I can show you where his office is. But I need something from you since Matt is busy handling phone calls.”
Her face lit up to the mention of Matt’s name, but she had to stay in character, so she immediately nodded and mouthed an okay. She sat down in the chair, across from the couch Kenny was sitting on. “You’re a little far, wouldn't you say?” he said as he began to shift to the edge. “Uhm, that depends what exactly am I doing?” As she looked at him with confusion.
“Just move a little closer.” Kenny demanded. “We gotta get this over with.” Adriana’s mouth slightly fell open, in shock of the words coming out of his mouth. “I- I’m sorry. What do you mean get this over with-” Kenny chuckled, “No one was out there right- you came alone?” She nodded quickly, unable to speak; she could feel the room closing in on her, making her move her chair slightly to where he was on the couch. He looked at her weird, “Haha a little closer than that Adri.”
He said as he leaned over folding his hands. “Well, how close do I have to be?” she tilted her head up giving him her full attention. “I mean…you’re still a little far for what we have to do.” She began to pull her chair forward, but Kenny pushed her back down lightly and stood up. “What WE have to do?” She asked, not understanding the signals he was giving to her. At this point she was losing it on the inside, he’s never been so forward with her. His hands began to adjust the band of his gray shorts.
“Yea, hey you mind getting on your knees?” he asked with all seriousness in his voice making Adriana almost fall out of her chair. From the corner of her eye she could see Brandon’s eyes widened a bit. She looked up and saw a slight smirk from Kenny, which made her roll her eyes. “He knows what he’s doing.” she thought in the inside of her head. Kenny stood there , looking stupid as Adriana came back to reality.
“O-on my knees? Are you sure?” As she began to crawl out the chair. “Uh yea- I know this isn't your first time, but I thought you would be more prepared.” he joked. She had almost let out a laugh. “Oh, and take that ponytail holder on your wrist and tie your hair up- this could get a little messy.” as he pushed his shorts down his legs- making her face to face with his package. She felt Brandon move closer to get a better shot of her face, and she wished he hadn’t. She shot her head back, letting out a sigh. “Damn, he is bigger than I thought.” She closed her eyes, and tried to gain control overself. She did a slight prayer as she closed her eyes and opened her mouth slightly, waiting for Kenny. When he placed it in her mouth she was shocked, it was thick… but cold.
She opened her eyes when she heard Kenny freaking out. “ADRIANA! STOP BEING RIDICULOUS! DID YOU SEE HOW WHITE MY LEGS ARE?” Adriana also started freaking out as she spat out a bottle of tanning spray. “STOP LOOKING AT MY RIDICULOUS QUAD DEVELOPMENT AND GET THIS GOD DAMN QUICK TAN ON MY LEGS STAT!” Kenny yelled.
“YES- TAN! RIGHT, NOTHING ELSE.” as she scurried to pick up the bottle.  Adriana had struggled unloosing the cap not only because of the commotion, but because of the fact she thought she was about to get filmed for a porno with Kenny Omega. “ADRIANA! HURRY UP. THE COLOR OF MY ARMS, AND THE COLOR OF MY FACE DO NOT MATCH THE COLOR OF MY LEGS!” He pouted as she finally shook the can getting ready to spray but then it accidentally slipped out of her hands. “SPRAY MY LEGS!”
She shot the cap throwing it somewhere in the room. “God, I’m an idiot.” she said to herself. “Sorry Kenny, I didn’t know they were this pale-” “MAKE THEM ORANGE!” He ordered, making Adriana spray faster. “Eh it’s looking… pretty good!” he said while examining his now newly tanned legs. “I knew I could count on you. Thanks.” he said.
“You’re so welcome, sorry I don’t know why that was so hard for me to do.” She said as she got up from her odd position to sit on the end of the couch. “Why were you so freaked out-” He asked as he spotted the spray can top in the corner of the room. “I’m not sure honestly, it’s just something I do nowadays.” She lied, but he didn’t think anything of it.
He took the can out of her hand and popped the cap back on as he sat next to her, “Anyways, since Matt isn’t in here. You should get over here and suck me o-”
Stolen Bit Partner
“Did you see how big his biceps were?” John Silver said, walking down the hallway with Alex and Parker, arms hooked. “You were right John, his milkshake sure does bring all the boys to the yard.” Parker said, chuckling slightly. Alex was about to protest what Parker was saying, but agreed. No one could deny that Wardlow was a beautiful human. The trio kept walking, talking about the man who’s locker room they had just left, when they bumped into another trio, one that Parker was very familiar with.
The Best Friends and Orange Cassidy.
They all stopped in their tracks. That’s when Alex detached from Parker, him and Chuckie going around in a slow circle, sizing each other up. Trent and John just looked at each other. And in the middle of all of this, Cassidy took off his glasses, and started looking Parker up and down.
The rotating finally stopped when Chuck spoke up, “You stole my bit partner, Reynolds.” “Oh, YOUR bit partner?”
And so the argument began, Trent bending down to get in Silver’s face, and Chuck and Reynolds pushing each other back and forth. Behind it all, Parker looked over to Orange and waved, but when he didn’t even give a sup motion, she turned away, a defeated look on her face.
“At least I’m not in a cult with a bunch of spooky perverts!” “Well these spooky perverts have a better hug than you guys!”
“What even is a ‘Johnny Hungie’?!” Trent yelled, “Well what the fuck is an ‘olive tit’ TRENT?!” “Boys, Boys! Please!” Parker yelled, standing between all of them. “Did they experiment on your brain!?” Chuck questioned, looking down at Parker. “What- Okay. No they did not experiment on my brain!”
“Did they TRAIN you to say that?” Trent said jumping at Silver. Parker pushed Trent back lightly. “Train Trent? What do you think we are? Some kind of cult?!” John argued. “Yes! That’s exactly what we’re saying.” Chuck answered.
“Y’know what?!” Alex grabbed Parker by the arm, “We’re leaving!”
Parker swatted Alex’s hand, that look on her face. “I think I’m going to...be on Sammy’s vlog instead.” She gave a nervous smile before walking behind the camera, “See ya Brandon.” “Uh, bye.”
Alex pointed his finger in Chuck’s face, Kool-Aid container still in his hand, “This isn’t over.” Reynolds and Silver walked away when Chuck mumbled, “We’re in the middle of a pandemic, keep your hand out my face.” Trent and Cassidy looked at each other while Chuck walked away. Trent shrugged one more time before following.
Orange just sighed, minding his own business.
Hungry Hungry Hippos
The room had conversation and laughter, when Trent spoke up, “Uh, BTE Championship match, triple threat.” The camera panned over to the left, “Marq Quen checking in.” Marq said with a smile, Isiah waving from behind him. The camera panned past Trent to the right, “Parker here, with uh, Chuck Taylor.” Chuck and Parker looked awkwardly at each other before Parker looked back at the camera, “My other friends decided to be dicks and not show up.”
Brandon pointed back towards Trent, who explained the game, “So uh, we’re playing the game Hungry Hungry Hippos, first one to get to two victories wins my BTE championship.”
The next scene showed all of them surrounding a table. “I am a GOAT at this game.” Marq said, rubbing his hands together. Parker pointed at him, “Oh yeah? Well prepare to lose Quen.”
The game had started, and the game had almost fallen off the table. “Y’all are so aggressive!” Matt Jackson laughed, pointing out how seriously they were taking the game.
Marq had quickly gotten the first victory. Trent and Parker groaning at their defeat.
“Already halfway THERE.” “Shut up!” Trent and Parker said in unison.
And the games went on, until all of them were tied with one victory each.
The three looked at each other, before talking to their “coaches” for a moment.
They had all returned to the table, and the tiebreaker had started. This round was definitely the most aggressive, with Trent actually trying, Marq jumping up and down making noises, and Parker trying to be as quick as possible.
When all the marbles were gone, they had each counted them up.
Trent had gone first, only having 5. Then Parker counted theirs, having 8. Marq counted the last of the marbles.
“Five, Six,” He pulled out the last marble, “Seven.” Marq had dropped to the ground, while Parker jumped up, knees almost to her chest in victory. “New BTE champ!” Nick said, grabbing the championship and handing it to Parker.
Parker held up the championship, before looking at it, “I have to go rub this in Adriana’s face so she gets mad at me.” She was about to leave the room, when she stepped back, “Oh yeah, I promised Marko I would fight him for this if I won. So next week, we balance KitKats on our heads.” “You’re gonna WHAT?!”

What Nick you’re not gonna sing it all with me this time?
Brianna was so embarrassed. How did Frankie even know all that? She kept thinking to herself, “Did Marq tell everyone?” He wouldn’t...right? This was just all too much for her, cause of some stupid mistake.
She stayed outside the arena the whole show, not wanting to show her face in there. Then wrestlers and producers started walking out, some mumbling when they looked over at Bri. She looked over at the people walking out, and saw Marq and Isiah. Marq and Brianna stared at each other, before Marq looked away, almost like he didn’t want to look at her. She watched them pack up and drive off, and she heard a familiar voice call out from behind her, “Hey Brianna!”
She looked over her shoulder and saw Cash walking over to her, and they both started smiling. That smile quickly turned back into a frown, when Dax grabbed Cash by the arm, dragging him away.
Great.
She went back to staring at the ground, upset. She almost jumped back when someone sat next to her. “They said we can delete it.” Brandon Cutler said, trying to sound sympathetic. “Thank you.” Brianna mumbled. “Look, we got Kaz to calm down, and he’s gonna talk to you about it,” Brandon put his hand on her shoulder before getting up, “Hang in there, alright?”
“Could this day get any worse?” Brianna thought to herself.
When of course, with Brianna’s luck, it could. She felt something drop on her head, then her arm, then ankle. It’s like the rain started on command. “This is so fucking cliche.” Brianna said, standing up and walking to her car, not without one of her heels breaking.
She waited until she got in the car, and then she screamed, at the top at her lungs. She just wanted to go to sleep, and find a fucking way to prove Kaz wrong.
Back at the Hotel
It had been months. Months since Parker and Chuck broke up. She wanted to talk to him outside of BTE for months. But she didn’t have the guts to do it.
She was watching tv in her hotel room, thinking about him, like always.
She pulled out her phone and facetimed Gabby, the only person she could really talk to about this stuff. There were a few rings before Gabby picked up, clearly irritated, “Girl it is half past midnight. Why are you calling me?” “I need to talk to him.” “Talk to who?” “Chuck! I can’t keep putting it off anymore.”
“Well then just talk to him?” “I can’t just discuss that over the phone.”
“Well, ask if you can talk in person.” Parker nodded, and went to her contacts, and clicked on the one she hadn’t touched in months. She read through the last of his messages to her, she didn’t answer.
It made her feel horrible.
She finally worked up the courage to type it out, “Can we talk? Like in person?”
“Okay, I did it.” “Great, now you just have to wait and see what he says.”
“Gabby, I’m sure he’s sleeping right now. And I can’t blame him if he doesn’t respo-” Parker paused, and looked like she had just seen a ghost. “Parker? Everything okay?” “....He texted back.”
“Well what did he say?!”
“He said of course, and then his room number…” “Well then go!” Parker got up quickly, tripping over her own feet walking to the door. “Wait wait Parker!” “What?”
“Put shoes on, don’t be a hobo.”
Parker laughed, quickly putting on some shoes, before hanging up on Gabby and making her way towards the elevator.
She waited when it opened, Trent coming out the elevator. “Oh, hey.” Parker said, looking at her feet. “He sent me to James’ room so you guys could talk.” Trent said, slightly laughing. Parker didn’t say anything, “Hey, it doesn’t have to be awkward y’know. We’re still cool.”
Parker smiled, and hugged Trent, before getting into the elevator.
She walked out the elevator, for once walking with some pep in her step. It stayed that way until she reached the front of his door. She reached her hand up, and was about to knock when she put her hand down.
Well, not without hitting the door.
When she realized, she started freaking out. In silence of course. The door creaked open, Chuck and Parker looked at each other. “Do you wanna come in?”
Parker nodded, walking through the doorway. She sat on the couch, rubbing her hands awkwardly, looking at the floor. “So, what did you need to talk about?” He asked, sitting on the opposite side.
She could feel it coming, word vomit, “I made a mistake, and I know I did when I broke up with you, but I couldn’t work up the courage to talk to you cause I know you want nothing to do with me and-” “Wait wait, you still…” “Yes I do, and I know things will never be the same and just...I know this was a mistake.”
“Parker, I have been waiting to talk to you. Just at least when you’re ready. I miss you.”
Parker continued to look at the floor, slightly smiling. Chuck lightly gripped her chin, lifting her head up. “I love you, Parker.” Parker smiled, “I love you too, Chuck.”
For the first time in months, they shared a kiss. “I missed having my whatever.” Chuck said, foreheads pressed together.
“Now can we please go back to being bit partners John keeps saying my name over and over.” The couple laughed, “Of course, I’ll tell James to stop giving you dirty looks.” “And I’ll tell the spooky perverts to not argue with you anymore.” The couple jumped when they heard the door open.
“I forgot my bag of chips.” Trent said, walking into the room. “God Trent you could’ve texted.” Chuck said, slapping his forehead. “I did. Did I interrupt something important?” Parker and Chuck looked at each other and smiled.
Trent started to “ooo” like he was in middle school. Parker stood up, cheeks red, “Okay on that note I’m leaving.” She started towards the door, “I love you Parker!” Chuck yelled out. “I love you too.” She was out the door when she heard Trent, “OH MY GO-” The door closed, and Parker laughed listening to Chuck yelling at Trent to shut up.
Parker walked towards the elevator, glad to have that situation of her shoulders and to have Chuck back.
“So, what's next for you two?” Trent asked, sitting back on his bed. Chuck looked out the window, “I don’t know yet exactly, I just know that I can’t lose her again.”
Back at Daily’s Place
“Did you see the look on Brandon’s face, it was priceless!” Kenny and Adriana had just finished their BTE bit and were now laughing at themselves for how clever they were. “Dude, I think we’re geniuses. Only we could come up with stuff like this.” Kenny said while holding his stomach from laughing.
“You know, for a second I thought you were serious.” Adriana said after wiping her tears. Kenny tilted his head to the side. “What are you talking about… my legs were actually white as paper.” She shook her head, “That’s not what I’m talking about and you know that.” Kenny seemed to understand her a bit clearer now as he scooted closer next to her. “Do you really think that I would let you give me head at our job?” He asked with interest in his eyes. She began to start breathing heavily noticing their knees were touching.
“You’re right - what was I thinking. You’re all business.” She sighed and put her hand on her face covering it up. Kenny thought it was cute how she was trying to hide from this conversation instead of talking about it. “That’s not true. I do childish shit all the time. And if we really wanted to, it would be way more than just head.”
Adriana felt like she was powerbombed on the apron. “Plus I don’t see you as a person to give head in weird places like this EVP room, in a public bathroom, or even inside of a car.” He added. Her head whipped up so fast she thought it would fall off. “Right, why would I do that? That’s gross and disgusting-” she lied. If only he knew… “What’s gross, having sex with me or giving head in weird places?” She opened her mouth to speak but decided against it.
He noticed as he rested his hand on her thigh. “I saw the look in your eyes Adriana. The way you looked at me when we did that bit for Being the Elite, is something I won’t be able to get my mind off for a long time. So - I am not saying it has to be today, but soon I want to hangout with you out of work. I want to know the real you.” She was left speechless, once again by Kenny Omega. “I got to go, but I’ll think about it.”
She got up from the couch and wiped her now sweaty hands on her jeans. Kenny also stood , studying her. The way she avoided eye contact, the way her feet shuffled trying to gain her stuff immediately. His heart started to get louder as she finally looked at him and reached for a hug, making him open his arms. It wasn’t anything like he wanted. It was short and meaningless but he did get the chance to smell the perfume she was wearing and that alone made him swoon. Kenny gave her a wave as he sat back on the couch, “Shit.” he mumbled. “What have I gotten myself into.”
On the other side of the door, Adriana was trying to come back to reality. “That really just happened.” she thought. “Did you have fun with ‘Spray Tan’ in there?” a voice asked sarcastically. She jumped up and when she turned around she was met with a frustrated Matt Jackson.  “Oh! Jeez you scared the hell out of me. I didn’t know you were here today.” She mentally slapped herself, “I really need to learn how to lie.”
Matt leaned on the wall looking her over. “Really, last time I checked - I was an EVP. You on the other hand - are not - so what were you doing in this room for that long?” He asked. Adriana bit her lip, they hadn’t seen each other since their session in the car and both of them were aching for more ever since. “I had to record something with Kenny for BTE. It’s not that serious.” Matt ran his hand through his hair shooting his head back. “I saw the segment, Adri.” He plainly said. “Is this what we’re going to do? We’re going to act like what we did was nothing?” He walked closer to her sliding his hands to her waist. He lifted his hand to move some of her hair out of her face and leaned in to whisper in her ear, “Meet me at the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium at 10 O’clock. And wear a bathing suit.” He hovered his lips over her neck before patting her ass and then walking away.
Adriana stood there dumbfounded. She had waited a whole week to be able to get to see Matt, since they last met in the car and all she got was teasing. She looked toward the EVP room and sighed. She was so confused with emotions, she needed to get this stuff with Matt out of her system before it was too late. Adriana began her walk to her car, so she could get ready for a night with Matt Jackson.
“I SWEAR NONE OF THESE HOES ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I NEED THEM!” Adriana threw her phone onto the bed after attempting to call Gabby, Parker, and Bri and of course they declined. Every. Single. Time. “Guess I have to go at this alone.” She sighed. She really missed talking to her friends, no matter how annoying they got. She would never feel complete without them.
She pushed her friends to the back of her mind as she threw clothes out of her suitcase. After 15 minutes deciding which bathing suit to wear she chose a normal two piece with some shorts and a normal tee to go over them. After she changed in the bathroom she grabbed everything she needed and headed out the door.
She pulled up to the stadium and parked confused on where to enter until her phone buzzed. Matt Jackson : I see your car, we’re the only ones here. So I’ll let you in.” Adriana chuckled. She got out the car fluffing her hair so she appealed somewhat decently. She saw Matt waiting for her at the entrance.
He picked his head up from his phone and let out a low whistle. “Well damn, I was not expecting this.” He fumbled with his keys as she rolled her eyes. When they finally got in he took her hand and led her to the pool. She removed her shorts and shirt as he did the same. Adriana dipped her toe in removing it as she felt how cold it was.
Before she could react she was pushed into the pool and when she got to the top for air she saw Matt jumping and doing a cannonball, making water go everywhere. Matt swam around a little before looking over to a shivering Adriana. “Yo-you’re an i-idiot.” Her teeth chattered making Matt laugh. “Ah, stop being a big baby and swim with me.” He slapped water onto her making her gasp. “I think I should wait till it gets w-warmer.” She smudged, making Matt swim over to her.
“I have a couple ways we could speed up the process.” She smirked. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he backed her up to the edge. He lightly pressed against her, making her let out a small whine. “If you’re going to do something just do it.” She said, clearly impatient. He pressed his lips onto hers, as she kissed back. He began to lower his hands trying to find the part to disconnect her bottom. She smirked into the kiss making him hungry for more as he pushed his tongue onto her bottom lip. She opened her mouth a little, only to hear a “IS ANYONE IN HERE?” Adriana tried to disconnect, but Matt pulled her back. “Whoever it is, will either go away soon or get a free show- I couldn’t care less.” Adriana pushed Matt off making him groan. She heard the door open and was shocked when Kenny Omega came out in swim trunks.
“Oh, it’s just you guys. What are you doing here?” he asked, confused. “Nothing much, just going for a late night swim.” Adriana lifted her finger to her mouth as she could feel her lip swollen at how hard Matt had bit it. Kenny nodded, “Right… mind if I join you?” He asked. Matt mumbled something too low to understand. “Of course, come on.” She smiled. “There it is again, that damn smile.” He felt weird seeing her in a bathing suit and it was even more weird seeing one of his best friends next to him.
Matt turnt around and faced Adriana , so Kenny couldn’t hear what he had to say, “He totally just cockblocked me. It had to be on purpose.” He whined. Adriana rolled his eyes, “He didn’t know. Leave him alone, let's just save our first time somewhere other than a public pool.” He scoffed, but he couldn’t stay mad at HER.
It was Kenny who was the problem, and he would make sure that he stayed out of the way.

You’re Welcome
Pairing: Wardlow/OC
Category: Fluffy fluff
Word count: 1,824
Fluffy little Wardlow fic request for @lancearcherinrippedjeans starring her OC, Camryn Morgan. I hope you like it! It’s the least I could do after you wrote me THREE fics. Also tagging @what-does-mine-say :D
Find more of my fics here.
********************
Nothing irked Camryn more than when someone interrupted her while she was in the zone at the gym. And, for whatever reason, no one managed to irk her more than one Nick Jackson.
“Ah!” She let out a startled yelp when she looked up and saw him staring at her with his crazy eyes through the mirrored wall. She ripped out one of her ear buds and whirled around. “What the fuck, Nick?”
He smiled. “We just got here and I saw you so I thought I’d come say ‘hi.’” He paused. “Hi.”
She arched a curious brow. Of all her teammates in The Elite, no one was quite as peculiar as Nick. “‘We?’ I don’t see anyone else, bud. Are you feeling alright?”
Just as she asked, Matt and Kenny rounded the corner—and Wardlow was with them. Camryn’s pulse quickened and she stood up straighter. What was Wardlow doing with them? And oh my god they’re coming over.
“Camryn!” Kenny proclaimed with a smile. “We thought you might be here.”
She tried to smile as casually as possible. “You know me, just trying to get it in before the show tonight.” Her eyes suddenly widened. “Trying to get a workout in!” she quickly corrected.
“Phrasing,” Matt smirked.
Her entire face went red. “You meant what I knew.”
“Anyway,” Kenny segued. “Have you two met?”
He motioned back and forth between Camryn and Wardlow. She stole a quick glance at him before shaking her head. “Not officially.”
“Well, then,” he started. “Camryn, this is Michael Wardlow. Michael, meet Camryn Morgan.”
They shook hands, and Camryn practically had to tilt her head all the way back to look him in the eye; he was more than a foot taller than her tiny five-foot-one frame. “Nice to meet you,” she smiled.
“Likewise,” he returned; but then his brow furrowed. “Wasn’t your hair red last week?”
Her cheeks flushed again, both surprised and flattered that he’d noticed. Then again, it would’ve been hard to miss someone changing their hair from fire engine red to lilac purple. “Oh, yeah. I change it a lot.”
“Like every other week,” Nick commented.
She narrowed her eyes at him. “Not that often; more like every month. I just get bored easily.”
“Well, you should keep that color,” Michael said. “It looks good.”
Camryn’s whole body flushed that time. “Thanks.”
“Well, we’ll let you get back to getting it in,” Kenny smirked; she rolled her eyes. “And hey, make sure to get to the arena a little early tonight, alright? We’re filming some stuff for BTE.”
“Will do,” she said.
“It was nice meeting you,” Michael said as he walked off with Kenny and Matt. Camryn smiled as she put her ear bud back in.
“You too.” She turned back around to grab some weights; and when she stepped back she jumped in surprise again. Nick was still staring at her through the mirror. “What?”
“Bye,” he grinned, and he took off after the others.
“Weirdo,” Camryn breathed as she resumed her workout.
*A few months later*
It was a beautiful day, and Camryn needed to get outside—even if it was only on her patio. She fixed herself a glass of iced tea and grabbed a book; but as soon as she sat down in the patio chair her cell phone rang. It was a FaceTime call from Michael. She couldn’t help her smile as she answered.
“Hey, good looking.”
Michael didn’t even say hello before he proclaimed, “Your hair’s blue! It was pink like three days ago!”
She rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses. “We’re in quarantine, Michael. Do you know how bored I am?”
“Okay, but don’t be surprised when all your hair falls out,” he smirked.
“Worry about your own hair,” she playfully returned. “It’s looking a little rough.”
“Shut up, no it isn’t.”
Camryn bit her lip. It really wasn’t; he was looking just as delicious as ever. But she had to tease him a little bit. “Okay, what do you want? Did you just call me to harass me about my hair?”
“No,” he said. “Obviously, I called you to wish you happy birthday.”
Camryn’s stomach fluttered. A small part of her had worried everyone had forgotten about her birthday, especially with the pandemic going on. It meant a lot to her that Michael thought to call.
“How old are you now?” he asked. “Twenty-one?”
She let out a loud laugh; he knew damn well she wasn’t 21. “Yes; twenty-one plus seventeen.” Unlike some women, Camryn had no qualms about sharing her true age—she was turning 38 today, and damn proud of it. Besides, not to sound vain, but she thought she looked better than a lot of women 10 years her junior.
“I can’t believe that. Honestly,” Michael said. “You look late twenties, early thirties, tops.”
“Well, thank you,” she grinned. “It’s my top-secret skin care routine.”
“Nah, I think it’s good genes.”
He gave her that look, and Camryn suddenly wished she could jump his bones, quarantine be damned. She and Michael had become fast friends ever since that day Kenny had introduced them in the gym, and they’d developed quite the flirtatious relationship. She loved the attention, of course—who wouldn’t?—but she often had to remind herself that it could never go beyond flirting. No matter how good she looked, Michael was still six years younger than her; a relationship between them simply wouldn’t work.
“You flatter me,” she said; and then she abruptly changed the subject. “So, have you heard anything about getting to wrestle again yet?”
“Actually, yeah,” he said. “I have a lumberjack match against Luchasaurus on Dynamite in a couple weeks.”
She smiled when she heard that. “Cool. I’ll be there, too.”
“Yeah? Nice,” he smiled. And then he added, “You better not be bald.”
“Alright, goodbye, Michael!” And she hung up on him before he could say anything smart in return.
********************
It was the night of Michael’s lumberjack match against Luchasaurus, and Camryn couldn’t be more excited. She hadn’t seen Michael in person since Double or Nothing—in other words, it had been far too long.
But, as excited as she was, she needed something to eat first. She stopped by catering and made a beeline for the snack station; but before she could grab a bag of chips, someone came up from behind and picked her up in a bear hug.
She let out a yelp and kicked her legs. “Michael! Let me go!”
“How’d you know it was me?”
“Because you’re the only one dumb enough to ambush me!”
She felt a laugh rumble in his chest. “Oh yeah? What’re you gonna do about it, small fry?”
Camryn groaned; she hated when he called her that, and he knew it. She struggled in his grip, but it was no use. He was far too strong. “Please put me down,” she pouted.
“Fine,” he gave in. “But only because you asked so nicely.” He set her feet back on the ground; but before he could completely let her go, she grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back in a hammerlock.
“Shit!” he proclaimed.
“What’re you gonna do about it, Wardlow?” she taunted.
He shook his head. “Nothing. It doesn’t really hurt.”
Her mouth dropped and she shoved him away as he laughed. “Rude!”
“Oh, did you want to hurt me?” he returned. “I didn’t know you were into that, Cam.”
Camryn’s face went beet red at his roguish smirk. “And on that note, I’m gonna go,” she said, and she snatched a bag of chips off the snack station and hurried down the hall.
“Hey, I’m glad you’re not bald!” she heard Michael call, and she extended her arm to flip him off without turning around. If she had, he would have seen her smiling.
********************
Later that night, taping had wrapped and everyone was heading out. The Elite were headed to grab a late dinner, but Camryn had told them she would catch up—she needed to do something first.
She walked down the hall headed toward Michael’s locker room, her heart thumping in her chest. Honestly, she wasn’t sure what the hell she was doing. All she knew was that she had feelings for Michael, and after seeing him for the first time in weeks, she just couldn’t ignore them anymore.
She was nearly there when she suddenly stopped short. She could hear two familiar voices just around the corner: Michael and MJF.
“So are you headed back to the hotel orrr?” Maxwell asked.
“Actually, I’m gonna see if Camryn is still here and ask if she wants to grab dinner,” Michael answered. “Sort of a late birthday thing; I know she was bummed she didn’t really get to celebrate because of the quarantine and everything.”
Camryn’s heart fluttered. He wanted to do that for her? That might be the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her.
“Well it’s about damn time,” Maxwell returned.
She heard Michael give an awkward laugh. “What do you mean?”
Maxwell scoffed. “What do I mean? Dude, come on. You two have been dancing around your feelings for months.”
There was a pause. And then Michael returned, “Nah, it’s not like that. She always clams up and changes the subject whenever I flirt with her.”
“That’s because she’s awkward as fuck,” Maxwell dismissed. “It doesn’t mean she’s not interested.”
Camryn turned on her heel and took off as quietly as she could. She didn’t want to hear the rest of the conversation. Maxwell wasn’t wrong; she was awkward as fuck, and this had been a terrible idea—
“Cam?”
She abruptly stopped and closed her eyes against Michael’s voice. They’d been closer than she’d realized. She put on a brave face and turned around. “Hey!”
Michael’s face fell; it was obvious he knew she’d overheard them. “What’s up?”
“Oh, nothing,” she said. “I was actually just leaving. See you later!”
She tried to make her escape—but Maxwell stopped her. “Wait!” he said. “Michael wants to take you out for a late birthday dinner. He also likes you, but he’s too chickenshit to admit it.”
Michael shot him a look. “Really?”
He smirked. “You’re welcome, bud,” he said as he smacked him on the back.
Camryn froze. She wasn’t sure what to do or say. So she said the only thing she could think of. “Is that true?”
For the first time since she’d known him, Michael looked nervous. “Well, yeah.”
She bit back a smirk. “All of it?”
He mirrored her grin. “Yeah.”
Before she knew it, Camryn’s legs were carrying her forward; and before she could think better of it, she reached up and pulled Michael’s lips down onto hers. She pulled back and smiled up at him. “I like you, too.”
“YOU’RE WELCOME!” Maxwell proclaimed, and Michael flipped him off as he kissed her again.

Worth it Pt. 2
Worth it
Characters: Hangman Page x OC / Kenny Omega x OC
categories: angst
Summary: Kenny is having a hard time accepting the fact that you might be in a new relationship, despite him already dating someone new...a continuation from Pt. 1 and thinking there will probably be more parts to this fic!
Tumblr media
The following week you were setup backstage with your laptop. Wearing your glasses to hopefully prevent a headache you knew was inevitable. You were feeling pretty good about Adam, last Wednesday when he told you you were 'worth it'...things changed in your relationship.. Should I even call it a relationship? friendship? You texted each other all day, facetimed at least once a day, he sent you "Good morning beautiful" texts, you both were smitten for each other. You hadn't seen him yet today, but you were definitely feeling an excited level of anxiousness about seeing him.
"Knock knock" ... it was Kenny's voice. You didn't want to give him any attention. But you remained the most professional you could be. "Hey" you said with a small smile. "Can I come in?" he asked. The venue usually set you up in some conference type of room, others that played a role in media would set up with you but right now you were alone at a giant conference room table. "Sure" you said as he came over and pulled up a seat next to you. "So I wanted to come apologize." he started, and you drew your attention to him because it went directly towards your computer screen once you realized he was coming to sit down next to you. "For what?" you asked, you wanted him to spill it. And for the most part Kenny usually owned up to his mistakes. "The things I said about you last week." Your lips do move to the side as well as your eyes shift as you nod your head. "Yeah...that wasn't cool of you to say Kenny." "I know, it really wasn't. You're one of the most strong and professional people I have ever met...I was being a straight up asshole." You nod again, "You know.. I thought we were also pretty good friends, despite our breakup." "We were.. I mean we are..right?" he asks, and then he realizes you're wearing your glasses and he smiles at you. "Why are you smiling?" you ask slightly annoyed that his attention has shifted to something else. "You're wearing your glasses." Your roll your eyes, he always thought you were cute with your glasses, and you knew thats why he was smiling and seemingly trying to change subjects. "Don't try to switch subjects." you say, your tone making him realize you were still a little pissed about the words he said. "Sorry...I really respect the hell out of you. I guess a part of me was trying to say I'm worried about how it would be us working together and me in a new relationship." You shrug, but deep deep down the thought of him moving on sucked. You knew the both of you were not meant to be, you liked to go out and drink and sometimes eat junk food, and Kenny... Kenny liked to drink protein shakes and work out. You both did enjoy your times of playing video games together, but as time went on you knew you were drifting a part. Especially when you started to relate or get along way better with other people...it started to become clear that physical attraction and a couple things in common can only last so long in a relationship. "It's fine Kenny, you and I both knew that this would happen at some point. I'm more upset about how you thought I would handle it. But I appreciate you coming to apologize." He nodded his head and smiled. "So do you accept my apology?" he nervously asked. It took you a moment, you looked at him and he did look remorseful. But the longer it took you to answer that, the more nervous he got. Because he did value you.
Adam's timing was nothing more than perfect, "Hey beautif--" he said excitedly and then stopped when he saw Kenny in the room. Your eyes gleamed up, and the biggest smile was plastered on your face. Kenny noticed every single facial expression and your body language and he shifted in his seat. "Oh shit, sorry." Adam said. "No it's fine, Kenny was just leaving." you said. You looked at Kenny and he showed a disappointed look on his face because you didn't answer his question, and he didn't get a chance to talk to you about Adam like he wanted to. "Hey man." Kenny said getting up from his seat and giving Adam a handshake into a hug. "Hey brother. I'll catch you later." Kenny nodded. When Kenny was out of sight you jumped up from your seat and wrapped your arms around Adam's waist as he embraced you in a hug. You looked up at him and grinned, "You happy to see me?" he asked. "you have no idea." you say, your voice in a whisper with a hint of relief. His head moved down to yours as he pressed his lips onto yours. Then he gave you that intense look and you felt your cheeks grow slightly red. "Sooo" he said as you moved back and sat in your seat, he took a seat where Kenny was sitting. "what was that all about?" You shook your head, "Ugh" you started, "Kenny apologizing for the things he said last week." "Ohhhhh" Adam said, he had that proud look on his face. "You told him to, didn't you?" "No...but I did tell him that I told you what he said.." "I figured." "So did you accept his apology?" Adam asked. You shook your head "Not yet. You kind of saved me, because that's the last thing he asked me before you walked in...I'm sure he also wanted to confront me about ..us" Adam leaned over and kissed you again, it definitely gave you a sense of comfort. "Well I'm glad he did the right thing.." You nodded your head, "Yeah.." After a few more minutes of chatting and making plans for after the show, he had to leave to get some pre-show things done. You were left again by yourself, thinking about the situation you were in. You really liked Adam, a lot. The past week you kept thinking about how the two of you were such a better fit than you and Kenny. It also made you reflect on prior interactions, when you'd go out as a group and you and Adam always found yourselves chatting with each other. Drinking the same beverages, it was no wonder that after the break up ...when you felt ready, that you drifted to him.
When Adam left the conference room with you, he ended up in the locker room with Matt Jackson, Cody, and Kenny. "So you two are a thing now?" Kenny asked the second Adam was in the room. "Jeez man. Good to see you too." "Seriously, man, are you?" Kenny asked. Matt and Cody exchanged glances again, for now a second week they were witnessing an awkward as hell interaction between Kenny and Adam. "I don't know man" Adam started, "there's no label yet." "Yet...so you plan on there being a label?" Adam rolled his eyes and shook his head, he was already annoyed as hell with Kenny after a 2 minute conversation. "Yeah man. Probably" Adam said straight-forward. "Kenny, you can't really be mad..you're dating someone new now..and come on Adam and Y/N are a much better fit." Matt Jackson said trying to not make this as awkward as it was. Matt's statement made Adam smirk, he was terrible about hiding reactions from his face. Kenny glared at Adam, "I don't know, it's just weird. You're one of my best friends, were you into my ex when her and I were together?" "I mean I always thought she was cool and pretty, but I wouldn't overstep like that man, you know that." Adam said defending himself. "I just need some air." Kenny said getting up and leaving the room. Truth be told, all Kenny could think about was you. He wasn't headed outside for fresh air, he was headed to find you.

Spookshow Baby - Rob Zombie x Reader [Smut]
Synopsis: By good luck or connections, you find yourself backstage at a Zombie show, and Rob can’t take his eyes off you.
Requested by @plagued-rat!  “Rob and a younger fan meeting at a show and sleeping together or something along those lines.”  Hope you like it, hun :)
Notes: The personalities depicted are fictional-- I don’t know them, even though I wish I did.
Tumblr media
Is it really that hard to get a beer in this place?
You try to navigate your way through the crowd of people getting their seconds and thirds at the bar when you haven't even had one. You finally get up to the bar, and order your drink. You get a bit of a look from the bartender-- you can't tell if he's judging you, or in awe of you, and honestly? You're okay with either. You'd worn a pretty striking outfit tonight, your favorite that you'd had in the closet lying around for something like this.
It had been an event you'd been looking forward to for months. Your friend Ash has a band, a sort of side project from her main group, called The Haxans. She'd promised you'd be the first to get tickets when they had their first show, and five years later, here you are. Maybe if you had told the bartender you knew the singer, you could've at least gotten your beer faster.
Not only are you excited to support your friend, but her fellow band mate and guitarist, Matt Montgomery, is the current bassist of your favourite rock band. Rob Zombie had been a huge part of your life, since Hellbilly all the way up til now with Celebration Dispenser and the new album coming out sometime this year. You'd never been able to make it to a concert of his yet, as he hadn't played anywhere near you, but you had made no secret of your strong feelings for the front man.
 ---
You hang back near the tech at the Viper Room, and look around as the band starts their set. This place was said to be a hotspot for ghosts.
"Sweet venue, huh?" a voice behind you asks. You turn, and see a guy in a big straw hat. You feel like the voice is familiar, but you can't really tell with the loud noise.
"Yeah. It's haunted, you know."
The guy laughs. "No kidding." He glances up at the band performing. "That's... kinda fitting."
"Right?" you smile. "Somebody's apparently buried in the basement."
"Jesus. Guess that's why Johnny Depp sold it."
“Or maybe he did it," you laugh, sipping your drink.
"That’s sure a theory. So, what brings you here?" the guy goes on. You're used to the line that guys use on you to flirt, but this guy's still keeping his distance. It's interesting.
"I like their music," you say, "And I'm supporting my friend, Ash."
"Ah, cool. I'm here supporting the other guy, Piggy D. I dig their sound, he's got a great fucking gig here."
"Yeah, totally. Along with working for Rob? Super rad."
"Hm. Yeah." The guy gives a little smile, which you don't see. "See you around, maybe."
"Yeah!" you smile, and when you turn back, the guy's gone. You wish you could place that voice.
 ---
After the show, you head up to the stage to congratulate your friend. "You were awesome!" you say, giving Ash a hug. She kisses your cheek.
"Yeah?"
"For sure. You guys were both amazing." Piggy D comes over, lifting his guitar strap over his head.
"Hey. Who's this?"
"This is my friend who I said would be coming, (y/n)?"
"Oh yeah." Matt gives a lopsided grin, shaking your hand. "Great to finally meet you. How'd we do?"
"You were great," you assure him. Ash nudges him.
"She's a big fan of Zombie."
Matt's black shadowed eyes light up. "Yeah? Here, I'll send you a pass to come say hi to us backstage. We're playing the area in a couple weeks!"
"Oh god," you blush, "That'd be awesome. Thank you so much."
"No problem." He gives you another smile, then sets his guitar down. "Gotta dash." His eyes ascend over you and Ash. "John, Rita! Thanks for coming!"
Ash pulls you to the side. "Oh my god. You're gonna get to meet him."
"I know." You fan yourself.
"He's really chill, don't worry. He'll love you."
"You think so?"
"Look at you! You're hot as fuck girl, I'd sleep with you if I wasn't taken. He'll go crazy for you."
“Ah. I’m too young for him...”
“You could use a daddy. He’s daddy material. Spookshow daddy for a spookshow baby.”
You smile, and ignore the unlikelihood of that happening. Still-- you've never been so excited.
 ---
The next Friday night, you find yourself enjoying tickets to the Zombie mosh pit in your home town, backstage pass tucked safely in your back pocket. You're currently waiting for Rob to come out on stage, and are watching the opening band, Palaye Royale.
After the last song of the opener's set, the stage lights begin going crazy, and you hear Rob begin to shout out the beginning of Dead City Radio.
The show is amazing, as you knew it would be. You've never actually heard him talk before, only sing, and when he speaks to the crowd between songs, you can't help but notice how attractive his voice is too. During Get High, Matt notices you, points to you with his pick, and winks.
As everyone cheers after the encore of Dragula and gives the band a good send-off, you slip backstage, coming up to the guards. You show your pass shakily, and they let you through.
"Hey!" Matt calls, and you turn down a long hallway to see the boys coming offstage.
"Best show I've ever seen, hands down," you say, "Other than the Haxans, of course."
Matt laughs, and fist bumps you. Ginger and John walk past you, shooting you friendly smiles. For a metal band, these are a bunch of really good guys. Then Rob comes out, dragging a towel over his face and dreads.
"Fucking high energy crowd!" he exclaims, punching the air as he comes over to you and Matt. "Great night."
"Crowd was on fire. Hey man, this is (y/n)." Matt introduces you.
Rob looks at you for a second, and tilts his head. "Oh yeah. You're the girl I met at the Haxans show, huh?"
You go to say yes, then start to realize how he knows. "You're the guy I talked to!"
"That would be me." He nods, then remembers how much he enjoyed talking to you. It’d be dangerous to see where this went, so after that stunted exchange, he goes to leave. You think of something to turn him around.
"Is that a Creepshow patch?" you ask, finally close enough to his patch jacket to decipher each one. He stops, and looks back.
"Hell yeah. You like Creepshow?"
"Love it!"
"Best one?"
"The Crate."
"Oh, fucking right!" He nods, "I like that crazy hitchhiker one too from the second one..."
"Thanks for the ride lady!" you quote, and he gives a loud belly laugh.
"Damn. You're pretty cool." He rubs his makeup with the towel. "I'm, uh... chilling a bit later tonight at a little after party. Sorry to be a big fuckin' drag, but I'm not one for lots of drinking or anything like Danzig or Manson are. I'll probably bore you to death."
"Then we can be a couple dead people together," you smile, and he smirks down at you.
"Sounds like a plan." He bites his lip, and gives you a once over again. "Follow me."
 ---
When you get to the party, it's pretty much like he said. He immediately wanders off around the outskirts of the crowd, stopping only to shake a few hands and greet a few people. It's a cool venue-- better than any you'd been to. It's dark, black-lit and monster-themed, with all kinds of pop art and horror memorabilia around the place. It's fitting for the band, and the people who hang out with them.
"Hey, man. Who's the lady?" John whispers in his ear. "Saw her backstage."
"Someone I met the other day. Piggy brought her back."
"She's pretty, huh?"
Rob shrugs, trying as usual to appear noncommittal when in fact he was feeling very committal. "I like her. Figured she may be some fun. Could definitely save me from this party." John shakes his head with a smile, going back over to Rita.
You try and crane your neck to see where Rob went, and are startled by a voice behind you. "Hey, you're the girl from the show, right?" You turn to see that it's Rob's drummer, Ginger.
"Yeah," you smile, "Ginger, right?" He shakes your hand heartily, nearly bruising your fingers with a drummer's grip.
"You can call me Kenny! Hey uh, long shot, do you happen to have a shower curtain anywhere accessible?" You frown, and are about to say no, but Ginger's already sensed your answer by your look of alarm. "No worries, I know who to call for one." He gets out his phone, and starts texting his old boss.
There's Rob. He's hiding in the corner like Dracula, away from the bright lights and people. You walk towards him through the crowd, toward where he's taken a seat on a red couch shaped like psychedelic lips. Rob watches you walk over to him, furrowing his brow. You look fucking good. His breath gets heavier as blood rushes down south. He hasn't wanted a girl this bad in years... much less a fan. Play it cool. She’s young enough to be your daughter, or some shit.
"Dumb party, huh?" he mutters, burying his feelings down deep. You smirk, sitting down beside him and crossing your legs.
"Seems like you really don't wanna be here."
"Well, it's all about the show, you know? What happens afterward is all bullshit, catering to TMZ who peddles articles about stupid shit like drugs and trashing hotel rooms to 15 year olds who read their articles and think that's what being a rock star is all about." You blink. He's not wrong.  "But it's uh... it's a lot better with you here." Come on, Zombie. At least try not to be a black hole of negativity for once?
"Don't worry. I'm not really one for parties either. I mean, they're fun sometimes. But sometimes you just wanna be by yourself, you know?"
"Exactly!"
"Or... with someone you'd have a lot more fun with." He glances up. "Wanna get out of here?" you ask, eyes conveying your intentions.
"Let's do it." As you walk toward the exit though, Rob pulls you down a hallway, then out the back door to the alley behind the club.
"You pulling a Lugosi on me, Zombie?" you joke. He smirks.
"You want me to?"
"Are you a vampire?"
He runs a hand through his dreads. "I'm more of a werewolf."
"It's a full moon," you tease, pulling him closer to you. He walks you back against the graffiti'd brick wall, and you part your legs to make room for him.
"You sure you wanna do this?" he murmurs, eyes already falling down to your lips behind his sunglasses. By way of reply, you take his sunglasses off, reach around to stuff them in his back pocket, and bring your lips to his.
Fuck it. His eyes close, and he reaches up to support you properly, urging your to wrap your legs around him as he holds you up. You moan as his ratty jeans provide the perfect grind for you, grazing your inner thighs and grazing where you need him most. His fingers dig into your ass as you reach forward and unzip those jeans, taking out the chunky belt with Svengoolie's face on the buckle.
His head tilts back as you take him in your hand, and fuck, he has to be inside you. You sink your face into his shoulder as he pushes in, and his face twists up. The way he's glaring at you in pure concentration is driving you wild, and the intense eye contact is turning him on too. He bares his teeth, gnashing as he fucks in again rough, making you gasp.
"Ro-ob..." you manage out.
"Whatdya need?"
"That's... ohmygod, that's so good, fuck, that's so good, faster--"
He gets even more rough, almost animalistic as he drops the cool guy act and just goes ape on your body. One of his hands shoves up your top, unhooking your bra with the precision of a master, and dips down to roll the tips of your nipples with his tongue. You cry out, neither of you caring who can hear you. It's as if he's become the demon he performs as, and it's fucking hot.
"Feelin' good, babe?" he growls.
"So good," you sigh, working down on him. He holds you up with one flexing arm as he keeps your wrists pinned with the other, dipping his head down a little again to leave hickies along the juncture of your neck. "I'm close--"
"Come on, baby, come on," he snarls, "Yeah..." You gasp out his name as his heavy thrusts rock you against the wall, tipping you off the edge and ripping you apart.
He watches you cum with the intense gaze of a hellish predator, and pounds you even harder until you're done. When he's sure you're satisfied, he lets you down, and cums against the wall, bracing himself against it with one hand.
You run a hand through your hair, and lean back. "Christ. There are so many puns I could make right now."
"I like puns," he pants, slipping his sunglasses back on, and with them, into his awkward, chilled out self.
"You fuck like a Superbeast." There's silence as you hold in your giggles, and he stares at you, completely deadpan.
"I fuckin’ regret all of this." You let the giggles burst free, and he takes you under his arm, leading you toward the street. "Come on."
"Where are we going?"
"My torture chamber, for special fans like you."
"I'm not surprised."
"Then maybe, after the torture, we can throw on a movie. Maybe..."
"You got Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine?"
"...Okay, maybe I don't regret this."
He calls his driver, and excitement fills you at the prospect of seeing what his house looks like. Probably as eclectic as the man himself. As the two of you get in, you open your phone to see a text from Ash.
So?????? watchu up to sex kitty
You grin to yourself as you type out a response that's sure to make your friend screech.
Is it necrophilia if I fucked a Zombie...? ;)

The DM
Pairing :  Kenny Omega/FC (brief cameos by Matt and Nick Jackson)
Category:  Comedy/Smut
“I cannot believe you are seriously doing this.”  You said to your boyfriend Kenny Omega as you snapped pictures for him.   You tried to keep your voice stern and be a voice of reason, but couldn’t quite contain the smile peeking on your lips as you worked with Kenny to mimic the poses from the leaked nudes of Seth Rollins.  You had to hand it to Kenny, he was dedicated to this.  He had hunted down and studied nude pictures of another man, just to ensure accuracy for his revenge. God only knows what his Google search history was going to show.
“You better believe it baby!  That’ll teach him to steal my move.”  Kenny responded flexing his muscles as you snapped yet another photo for what was an integral part of The Elite’s plot for revenge.  They had been planning this for months, planting seeds and driving up interest through their Youtube series Being the Elite, teasing the fans into a frenzy about what “The DM” was and when it would be released.   Now they were finally ready to make their move.
Part of their plan involved naked pictures of Kenny mocking Seth Rollins.  So you were appointed official photographer.  But hey, you really weren’t going to complain about taking pictures of your gorgeous man proudly displaying what his mama gave him.  You had to bite your lip to keep your concentration as the more pictures you took, the more turned on you got.   And you really shouldn’t be, given the circumstances. After all, Kenny was really pulling quite the dick move.   But that was Kenny.  He could be quite petty when he felt wronged.   You should be talking him down and making him see reason.  And keeping the Young Bucks out of his ear.  But it was really hard to remember all that when Kenny was naked in front of you.
Finished with the first pose of him lying on the bed, Kenny moved to stand at the end of the bed, positioning his body just so as he looked at Seth’s picture on his phone.  Satisfied he nodded to you to begin snapping away.
After a bunch of pictures you dropped to your knees for a better angle of him standing up while he held his phone up to obscure his face.  You snapped what felt like a hundred pics before Kenny was satisfied there was enough of a selection for him to choose from. And judging by the stiffness of his dick, Kenny had obviously enjoyed the attention being focused on him.
“So babe, while you’re down there….”  Kenny hinted looking from his cock to you with a hopeful expression.   Rolling your eyes you heaved a sigh of exasperation.
“Fine” You said, acting all put upon, before flashing a wicked smile up at your man.   Truth was there were very few things you liked more than having Kenny’s dick in your mouth.  You loved every aspect of giving head, from the feel of it thrusting into your throat to swallowing the prize that came at the end.
“You’re such a tease.”  He crooned stepping closer to you, his hand snaking out to grab a handful of your hair and tilt your head back to the angle he wanted.   Eagerly opening your mouth you hummed as Kenny slid his thick cock in, resting it on your tongue as you closed your lips around him.   You reached your hand up to stroke the flesh that wasn’t in your mouth as you sucked deeply running your tongue around the soft flesh of his tip making moans escape his mouth.  Moving your hands to his hips you looked up to meet his eyes, relinquishing control to Kenny. Taking your cue Kenny began rocking his hips pushing his cock further and further into your mouth until it hit the back of your throat.   You gagged at the intrusion, taking a moment to get used to it before Kenny continued pressing deeper into you until his hips were flush with your lips.   You breathed in deeply through your nose, concentrating on not gagging as Kenny held himself deep in your throat.   Finally when you felt you were dying for air he pulled himself out, ever so slowly while you looked up silently pleading with him.  As his cock popped out of your mouth a smirk tilted up the corner of his lips.
“Asshole.”  You muttered, a matching grin on your face.   He chuckled guiding you to your feet with a firm grip in your hair and pressing a kiss to your lips.
“That’s why you love me.”  He replied before turning and pushing you onto your stomach on the bed before sliding off your shorts and panties.   “Up on all fours darlin’ I’m gonna make you scream.”   You eagerly pushed yourself into the requested position waiting as Kenny grabbed some lube and stroked it all around his cock.   A satisfied moan left you as he sunk in your pussy to the hilt in one thrust, your hips instinctively rolling to push your ass back against him as Kenny settled his hands onto your sides.  True to his word, it wasn’t long before Kenny had you writhing underneath him, muttering incoherently, screams breaking out as he pounded into you.  At one point Matt Jackson pounded on the wall separating your hotel rooms, shouting that Kenny was supposed to be working on his stuff for Being the Elite, not fucking you.   That just encouraged Kenny to make you scream even louder.
When you were finished and cleaned up you flopped down on the bed for a nap, Kenny pulling you into his body and enveloping you with his heat. It wasn’t long before you were both sleeping.
You were awakened by the sound of Kenny chuckling under his breath, clacking away at the keyboard of his laptop.   Rolling out of the bed you went to look at what had Kenny so amused. What you saw made your hand fly over your mouth as a loud burst of laughter escaped your mouth.
“Why on Earth is Okada’s head on your nipples and dick?”  You asked, head tilting to the side as you stared at the image on the screen in confusion.  Kenny didn’t respond, he simply clicked on the other picture he had edited and waited eagerly for your response.   Deciding to mess with him a bit you leaned in to take a closer look, biting your lip in concentration.
“Hmmm.”  You finally responded with a frown.  “Maybe your dick isn’t as big as I thought if it can be covered with a tiny briefcase. Seth’s looked bigger.”  You squealed as Kenny grabbed for your arm, turning to run only to find yourself tackled onto the bed with Kenny mercilessly tickling your ribs.
“Take it back!”  He demanded chuckling at your useless attempts at escape.  You sputtered with laughter squirming around to try to escape his torturing fingers.   “Tell me how big my cock is, tell me.”  He growled. “Tell me I’m no Seth Rollins.”
“Fine! I take it back!”  You yelled after holding out for another moment.  “Your cock is huge, enormous, so big it hurts. Seth could never compare to you.”   You gasped in relief as Kenny stopped his relentless tickling.
“That’s better.”   He said pecking your lips and settling himself between your thighs.   “How bout I show you again just how big it is?”  He thrust his hips down into you earning a lustful moan from you as he pressed against your core.
“No!”  Both of your heads jerked towards the door that had just opened revealing Matt Jackson. You all had spare keys to each other’s rooms just in case and it seemed he had taken it upon himself to use his.  “No, no, no.  You do not have time for Round 2! Get off her!”  He grabbed Kenny by the shoulders and pushed him back towards the laptop as his brother Nick followed him in.
“Yeah Kenny, we have an episode to get out and a tweet to craft!”  Nick chimed in sitting himself on the desk. “You can bang Y/N later.”
With a pout of disappointment you rolled over onto your tummy, propping yourself up on your elbows as the Bucks stole Kenny’s attention.   You snorted as you saw Kenny enlarge the briefcase covering his package on the picture, rolling your eyes as he flipped you the bird over his shoulder.
As you lay watching, the boys worked on editing the final touches for Being the Elite before Nick submitted it for posting.  Meanwhile Matt had pulled up Seth’s Twitter apology from when his ex-fiancée had leaked his private photos and read it out for Kenny who was drafting his own Tweet using virtually identical language.  There would be no doubt once the episode aired and the tweet went out that this was shots fired at Seth Rollins.
Later that evening in Phoenix, Arizona, Seth Rollins strolled through the hallways with his usual cocky strut. He had just finished his match on WWE Raw for the night and was ready for a shower and to get back to his hotel.  His stride faltered as he heard various people twittering and whispering as he passed, but shrugged it off.  Entering the locker room he again noticed he was the center of attention as loud guffaws of laughter broke out from the various boys.   Getting irritated he turned on his phone and set it on the bench as he grabbed his shower stuff.  Just as he was walking away from the bench his phone began blowing up with notifications.  With a furrowed brow he pulled up his Twitter feed seeing a ton of retweets to him with a Being the Elite Episode and a tweet from Kenny Omega.
“What the hell?”  He muttered as he read through the comments.  When he saw the pictures of Omega that were supposedly “leaked” along with the “apology” He could feel his face turning red in embarrassment and anger.   He knew Kenny had been upset that he had used his move without asking first, but he couldn’t believe he would make fun of Seth’s personal issue.  The jokes had finally died down in the locker room, but it looked like they were going to picking right back up.

Ring of Honor “Best in the World” TV Taping Report June 29th in Philadelphia, PA
ROH followed up their annual Best in the World PPV in Baltimore with a TV taping at the 2300 Arena. For fans in my neck of the woods, it was either this or All Elite Wrestling’s second show, Fyter Fest, available for free on B/R Live. There was also UFC airing on regular ESPN, so plenty of choices tonight. A number of people chose not to attend tonight’s taping; it definitely did not look like the sell-out ROH was reporting, certainly down from the last two times ROH ran here last October and December. Myself? I can catch these other shows later in the weekend. I went in to this after just reading about what went down in Baltimore, unfortunately not all that compelled to order it, but still looking forward to fun stuff tonight.
Future of Honor: Azrieal beat Matita (?) with a splash off the top rope. That’s right, Azrieal, the former Special K member who cleaned up his act, has made his way back into ROH after being absent for several years. He and his opponent (billed from Africa) both looked pretty good. I probably butchered his opponent’s name, but towards the end he was up on the top rope when Azrieal shoved the ref into the ropes, pretending it was an accident as his opponent was crotched on the top. Azrieal then hit him with a draping DDT to lead to the finish.
Future of Honor: The Tate Twins (formerly The Boys) beat Geddy Cahoon and “Classy” Max Stenway after a double chokeslam on the larger Cahoon. The Boys have matured a little, with a Batman-esque video screen that still calls them The Boys as they come out in capes. I’ve seen Cahoon once before in Chikara’s Young Lions Cup tournament last year I think. He has an old-school look, black trunks with white boots, while his partner wore gray pants and a top that looked like a buttoned vest. I thought this was okay, one noticeable hiccup being one of the twins and Cahoon doing some sloppy pin exchanges.
The injured Colt Cabana was able to make it out tonight, with the help of a cane, to call the action with Ian Riccaboni. Kenny King joined them on commentary for the first televised match.
1. Shane Taylor beat Rhett Titus in a Proving Ground Match after hitting him with a headbutt. Titus did some flexing early to get out of Taylor’s grip for comedic effect, and he was able to hit a nice dropkick early. Taylor was all business and gave him a legdrop on the edge of the ring. Nearfall by Titus following at least three running boots in the corner and a Samoan Drop.
- Following Titus’ loss, King came down ringside and said he was disgusted. He brought up his history with Titus as the All Night Express, when they picked up wins over the Briscoes, the Young Bucks, Roderick Strong, and Tyler Black. Now King thinks Titus is a joke, and he brought up his pregnant wife in the crowd. He asked Titus how she could be proud of him, and why Titus’ son (Jimmy Controversy? I’ve seen him wrestle late last year) can’t look him in the eye. Titus got hot, but he just left the ring as King called him a punkass bitch.
2. Tasha Steelz won a 4-Way #1 Contender’s Match over Angelina Love (w/ Velvet Sky and Mandy Leon), Jenny Rose, and Stella Grey when she pinned Grey after hitting an ace crusher. Kelly Klein joined commentary for this, and this was the first time I’ve noticed Brian Hebner reffing for ROH. Sky said this match was bull and that Love is already the true #1 Contender to Klein’s WOH World Title. Leon, meanwhile, had a dog with her, and the dog was wearing a leather jacket. There were no incidents between the Allure and fans in the crowd, but there wasn’t much enthusiasm from fans during this match either, even though Rose and Grey got hometown wrestler pops, and everyone liked the dog, though it didn’t get involved. Leon got involved trying to trip one of the women, and Hebner ejected her, Sky, and the dog from ringside because of it. Love hit a dive to the floor from the top rope, then got up in another corner to call out to Klein afterward. Klein came down to ringside briefly, and this distraction led to the other three wrestlers taking down Love.
- After the match, the lights went out while Love and Steelz were still in the ring, the Maneater video played, and when the lights came back on, newcomer Maria Manic was standing behind Love and Steelz. Manic got a good reception. Love bailed out of the ring while the next title challenger Steelz stepped up to her. Four crew members separated the two of them. Manic took out all four guys herself, including putting one of them in a torture rack before dumping him out of the ring, and taking out another with a tree slam. This made Manic even more popular, so a job well done on her arrival into ROH and Women of Honor.
3. Jay Lethal & The Bouncers (Beer City Bruiser & Brian Milonas) beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan, and Vinny Marseglia) after the Bouncers hit O’Ryan with Closing Time. Good action with three popular babyfaces. Before the match, Lethal demanded timekeeper Amy Rose (not Sonic the Hedgehog’s friend) to leave the ringside area because of her interference in Lethal’s match against Kenny King at Best in the World (she returned maybe two matches later). The Kingdom preferred to be in the ring with Lethal as opposed to the Bouncers, and Lethal was worked over before making hot tags to each of them. Lethal hit his suicide dives towards the end. The Bouncers’ stock continues to rise (they recently earned a Tag Team Title shot in the Northwest), but before they could celebrate with post-match beers, Taven yanked Lethal down from the apron and gave him a Climax on the floor. The Bouncers and other crew attended to Lethal as he was helped to the back.
4. Eli Drake beat Grizzly Redwood with an air raid crash. Pretty short squash by new NWA signee Drake on another returning face in Redwood, though he’s local, so I’m not sure how much of a return it really is. Nick Aldis, flanked by Kamille, was on commentary during this. Drake cut a promo afterward about his arrival into the NWA and his pursuit of the World Title, and I thought he came off well.
5. Coast 2 Coast (LSG & Shaheem Ali) beat Marcus Kross & Griff Garrison when Ali pinned Kross after a Boss Man Slam spun out from a powerslam position. This ended up being a competitive match and not a squash, with Kross (with gear and hair inspired by Goku) and Garrison (who just looks like an in-shape wrestler) getting a good amount of offense against the more established Coast 2 Coast. I also thought it was quite good, and a portion of the crowd chanted “Please Come Back!” to Kross and Garrison.
6. Jonathan Gresham won a Four Corner Survival over Jeff Cobb, Kenny King, and Dalton Castle. Caprice Coleman joined the commentary team from this point on. Castle, who is now heel and has ditched the flowing, winged robe for just a glittery jacket, was still beloved by the crowd. He and King hesitated getting in the ring, while Gresham and G1 Jeff kept it more serious. The Four Corner Survival rules of only two men in the ring at a time via tags (which confused the rowdy group of guys behind me, down from Ottawa, ONT Canada [!] for a bachelor party) naturally broke down, leading to Cobb going nuts with his suplexes. The end came when King took a shoe from Amy Rose to use as a weapon, but Gresham got a hold of it, hit King with it, and pinned King with a handful of his trunks. I thought it was fun, and it might come off better to me if I were to watch it on TV. Gresham returned the shoe to Rose.
- Jay Lethal came out to speak to the crowd. He said he hasn’t spoken about his losing the ROH World Title at G1 Supercard because he’s a bad loser, and it was a heavy pill to swallow. Then he remembered that he’s a two-time World Champion, meaning he lost it once, but worked hard and was able to win it again. He will have a title match next month in New York, and he plans to win the title back from Matt Taven. This cued Taven to come out and dress down Lethal. He said Lethal was embarrassing his parents, who were in the crowd, and that Lethal was proving that his parents raised a liar. Taven said Lethal choked in Madison Square Garden, and now Taven is the face of ROH, and they’re living in the Time of Taven. As Taven finished what he had to say, out came Alex Shelley in a suit. He’s making his return, as he said he was careful not to say he was retiring when he last appeared in ROH. He said he’s been wrestling for seventeen years, has constantly been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but he’s left his mark around the world. He said he’s pulling out his proverbial veteran’s card yet again, and that he wants a shot at whoever is the champion after the match in New York. This segment was followed by intermission.
7. The Soldiers of Savagery (Moses & Kaun) beat two wrestlers after hitting double chokeslams on both of them. After just doing run-ins up until now, the Soldiers of Savagery had an official entrance, and it was a pretty cool one. Quick post-intermission squash, as they attacked their opponents (who were in matching gear) before they could be introduced.
- Caprice Coleman came out to the ring to host an interview segment with Nick Aldis. Kamille held the NWA World Heavyweight Title for Aldis. Coleman brought up the Summer Supercard happening in Toronto on August 9, with ROH hosting talent from New Japan and CMLL. Coleman had heard the NWA World Heavyweight Title would be defended at Summer Supercard and asked Aldis who his challenger would be. Aldis started by bringing up his fight with the Briscoes at Best in the World, and he offered Jay Briscoe a title shot whenever he pleases. As for Summer Supercard, he suggested he might want to have another match with Marty Scurll. This prompted Scurll to come out, and he said that he would also like to have a rematch. Aldis said he wasn’t finished, as he’s actually offering the title shot at Summer Supercard to any member of Villian Enterprises, and he will let Scurll choose who it will be. Aldis and Kamille left, as Coleman asked Scurll who he chooses for the title match, or if he’s taking the match himself. Scurll stalled for a little bit and said he had a lot to think about. Coleman closed by reiterating the name of the event and it’s August 9 date.
- Another segment followed, with Riccaboni and Cabana coming down to ringside. Riccaboni talked a little about Cabana’s injury and asked him for an update. Cabana stated how he has a cane now, barely got the the okay from his doctor to fly out to the events this weekend, but then James Storm interrupted. He was dressed to wrestle, brought up his match against Cabana in Chicago for the NWA National Title, and that he’s here for those five more minutes Cabana offered after the match went to a time limit draw. Cabana brought up how Cabana would have given him those five more minutes, but the Briscoes attacked him and Storm did nothing. Cabana began to leave when Storm shoved him from behind to the ground and berated him. Cabana agreed to the title match after this, despite his bad leg and not being dressed to compete.
8. James Storm beat Colt Cabana to win the NWA National Title. This couldn’t have lasted more than five minutes. Cabana tried for his Superman pin right off the bat but couldn’t get it properly with his bad leg. Storm worked over Cabana’s leg as Riccaboni remained at ringside and tried to convince Storm to stop, very concerned for Cabana. Storm put Cabana in a half crab on the injured leg, but Cabana got to the ropes. Cabana fought back, and he tried and failed to get Storm in the Billy Goat’s Curse. Storm hit a superkick and locked in the half crab in the middle of the ring, finally forcing Cabana to submit. Storm then made Riccaboni announce him as the winner and new NWA National Champion. Good drama throughout that the crowd followed. This was likely the end of Cabana’s commentary for the night.
9. Silas Young beat Josh Woods with a small package. After the opening bell but before any action took place, Young got a hold of the mic. He said Woods has been in ROH for two years, but he hasn’t accomplished anything. He said the fans don’t respect Woods like they respect him, and that Woods could benefit from learning from him. He then gave the mic back to the ref, and as the ref did so Young kicked Woods in the groin and rolled him up for the quick win. Young has already corrupted Gresham, and he might be doing the same to Woods.
10. Shinobi Shadow Squad (Cheeseburger, Eli Isom, and Ryan Nova) beat Brian Johnson, Joe Keys, and Dante Caballero after they hit Caballero with a draping DDT/top rope double stomp combo. The three Future of Honor regulars, especially Johnson and Caballero, got a chance to show more of their personalities during this match. They suffered from some miscommunication though, ending with Keys accidentally hitting Caballero to lead to the finish. Afterward, Keys and Caballero came to blows with each other and had to be separated while Johnson just walked off.
11. Karissa Rivera beat Sumie Sakai after sitting down on a sunset flip attempt for the pin. This was Sakai’s first match back from injury, and this seemed to get a good amount of time with a lot of nearfalls. The action was pretty decent, though there was a moment where Sakai bowed to Rivera, Rivera went to bow back, and Sakai rolled her up in a small package that looked pretty bad. Rivera getting the upset win here came off well to me based on the crowd reaction, and Sakai sold the shock of it. Quinn McKay came into the ring to interview Rivera about it, but Sakai intervened and offered Rivera a handshake and congratulated her. If this is just a torch passing from Sakai, that’s A-okay.
12. Rush & Dragon Lee beat Jay & Mark Briscoe when Rush pinned Jay after hitting the Bull’s Horns. This match came off fantastic, as it was basically a fast-paced brawl. They began brawling on the floor early, starting when Dragon Lee went to hit a suicide dive onto the Briscoes, but they caught Lee and gave him a double suplex onto the floor. A little later, Mark came up bleeding heavily from the forehead, and I don’t know how it happened if it was hardway. It likely was as someone retrieved a towel to attend to Mark. This wasn’t at the level of how Jay has bled in the past, but Mark was bleeding so much Rush began focusing on it, wiping some of it on his chest and biting at the wound. ROH TV likely wouldn’t allow spots like this, so I imagine this match will be heavily edited when it airs, with the full uncut match featuring these spots put on HonorClub. Nevertheless, the blood added some intensity to the match, and the wrestlers capitalized on it. Mark used a chair to assist his running dive over the top to the floor. Rush was given a neckbreaker by Jay and the Froggy Bow by Mark, but Rush still kicked out that a lot of fans saw as three. Lee took out Mark with a running hurricanrana over the top rope to the floor to leave Rush to finish off Jay. A wild match that had the crowd shitting apes. Dragon Lee continues to be on a roll after some stellar matches these last two months in New Japan.
- There was a quick change of the ring canvas and wiping down of the ropes as Bobby Cruise announced that Villain Enterprises would be out next. When the ring was ready, the LifeBlood trio of Bandido, Tracy Williams, and Mark Haskins came out (they’re all that’s left of this faction!). Haskins brought up how Villain Enterprises played a fast one on them at the PPV with their recruiting of Flip Gordon when they thought he would join LifeBlood, and they demanded they came out. Marty Scurll came out again, accompanied by Gordon, Brody King, and PCO. Scurll properly introduced Gordon to the crowd as the newest employee of Villain Enterprises, the understudy, the intern, and the mercenary. He then gave Gordon the night off (following a potential injury at the PPV) to watch this six-man tag team match from the back, and he told LifeBlood that this would not be for their recently remade Six-Man Tag Team Titles, as they just defended them at the PPV (against Haskins, Williams, and PJ Black). Williams was fine with that, as they just wanted a fight, and given where they were, he demanded a Philadelphia Street Fight. The crowd was all for this, Villain Enterprises agreed, and the match was on.
13. LifeBlood beat Villain Enterprises in a non-title Philadelphia Street Fight when Bandido pinned Scurll. Chaos from the start. The timekeeper’s table was cleared off early and set up where the entrance way reaches ringside. The first big moment was King attempting to superplex Haskins onto two rows of chairs, but King went through them himself after Williams and Bandido made the save. LifeBlood began using canes. Bandido gave PCO a hurricanrana off the top rope through the table on the floor, and it all seemed perfectly executed. This left Scurll alone, and he was put into a sharpshooter by Haskins and a cane-assisted crossface by Williams, but King made the save. Dives to the floor from King and PCO was followed by a twisting dive from the top by Bandido. The landing looked rough but Bandido still got up. Back in the ring, Bandido gave PCO his version of the GTS, followed by the 21-plex onto an open chair. During all of this, a woman in the crowd shouted, “Leave him alone! He’s old!” This was only a nearfall as Scurll and King made the save, and then they brought a second table into the ring. Williams and Haskins peppered King with more cane shots. Scurll responded with shots from his umbrella. Scurll took down Bandido with his umbrella, placed him on the table, and went up top, but Bandido recovered and stopped Scurll, finally giving him his moonsault slam off the top through the table for the big win. Another wild, crowd-pleasing match. Bandido, Haskins, and Williams shook hands with all of the ringside fans, and then Williams took the mic and thanked the crowd for coming out on behalf of LifeBlood and everyone at ROH.
The main show started at about 6 PM and ended at 9:47 PM. I had some issues with the pacing of this show early on. A lot of talking segments that were good, some longer matches that weren’t good, and some shorter matches, but I really enjoyed the two last matches, and they energized the crowd and ended the night on a high note. A lot of focus on the NWA, and I’m not sure how it will play into ROH as I don’t know how much of it will be part of ROH TV. Cabana vs. Storm likely will be, but I don’t know about the Aldis-Scurll segment or the Eli Drake squash. ROH has a little bit of direction with the faction warfare, the World Title picture with Alex Shelley returning, and Maria Manic joining the women’s division, but I listened to the reactions, and they varied to people from Dalton Castle to Rush. No direction for Jeff Cobb following the PPV as he’s off to be G1 Jeff, and late in the game I joined the bandwagon of wanting him to win the ROH World Title and take it with him to Japan for a month in change, throwing the other contenders into crisitunity over the summer in the attempt of some more compelling stories. But no, ROH is focused on Matt Taven and company, and Taven still has his fans. No return date was given for Philadelphia, while they hit up New York City and Lowell, MA next month.

Chapter 5
Ring ring ring I heard the phone from my bathroom as I had just stepped out of the shower.
“Can someone get that?” I yell into the living room hoping someone would pick it up.
“Got it!” Kenny said as he was probably the only one unoccupied between Matt and his new girlfriend and Jen.
When we had arrived home we decided to not say anything about it to her much to Kenny’s dismay.
He was still mad about the situation but I wanted her to bring it up in her own, even though she’s acting like nothing happened.
“It’s for you!” I hear Kenny yell.
I smirk knowing exactly who it was.
“Okay wait a minute!” I yell slipping on my black robe and taking my hair out of its towel.
“It’s Jimmy” Kenny mouths handing me the phone.
“I know” I mouth back taking it from him.
“Hello” I say waving Kenny away.
He goes back to the tv grabbing the beer that was beside him.
“Leila darling” I hear Jimmy on the other line. “How’s everything going?”
“Amazing actually” I say in a flirty tone “I just got out of shower, I was waiting for your call.”
“I’m sorry it took me so long love, I was in a bit of a jam. Are you still able to attend the event tonight?”
I begin rolling the chord in my fingers “that depends, do I get something out of it?”
He snickers “oh indeed love, it will definitely be worth your wild.”
“Good” I say “then I can go.”
“Excellent!” He says “I’ll have the car come pick you up in say-“ he pauses “does 7:30 sound reasonable?”
I look at the clock seeing it was just after 5. “It definitely does.” I respond.
“I can’t wait Lil.” He says in a hushed tone.
“One last thing.” I say.
“Yes?” He asks.
“How formal is this thing?” I ask.
“Pretty formal... do you need me to send something or-“
I cut him off “no I’ve got something, I just wanted to be sure. Didn’t want to be over dressed or anything.”
“Oh you couldn’t possibly be with these people.” He says “this is about as formal as it gets. Think of it as a cocktail party slash dinner, taking place with some very important people.”
“Gosh this sounds intense, why are you bringing me again? I mean this just sounds really prestigious and I’m just... not that.” I say.
I’m not gonna lie, I do come from a decent amount of money. But the life style I currently live isn’t all that glamorous.
I share an apartment with 3 other people even though it’s pretty sizable. I do dress in designer only onstage though and you wouldn’t catch me dead buying drugstore makeup. I just don’t think I have off the prestigious vibe.
“Well there’s gonna be a lot of important people there... and who knows with your looks and with your voice. You might come across something worth your while.” He says.
“Are you serious?” I laugh “and why are you doing this for me?”
“So many questions love” he laughs “look we can discuss it more when I pick you up.”
“Okay fine.” I say “thanks Jimmy.”
“Don’t mention it... I’ll see you soon.” He says.
“See you soon” I respond “goodbye.”
“Bye love” He says.
I put the phone down more excited to go to this event then I was before.
I went back to my bathroom and begin drying my hair.
“Hey so what are you doing tonight?” Kenny wobbles up to the door hinge and puts his hands in his hair.
“Mr. Page took it upon himself to bring me to this Led Zeppelin dinner tonight. Apparently there’s gonna be a lot of important producers and promoters.”
“Are you just gonna be his date? Why is he taking you?” He asks.
“You bring up an interesting question Kenny D” I say calling him by his nickname. “Jimmy I guess wants me to meet some people for connection purposes.”
“No shit really?” He asks excitedly.
I nod turning off the hair dryer and setting it down.
“Then why can’t the rest of us go?” He asks.
“I mean that would make sense, but I think Jimmy is trying to be sensible about it. If we all went I just think it would be too much. And besides I think he has alterer motives.”
“Like inside your pants?” He asks.
“Yeah” I say beginning to get my hair tools out from the sink “which is weird because he already scored last night.”
“Maybe he likes you”
I shrug “he wants me to I guess be his girlfriend for the week, which I’m not complaining. I just don’t have time to wait around for him cause obviously we have to get started on some more songs, but maybe this is his way of trying to help me get some stuff done.”
“Or maybe he actually thinks your talented and wants to show you off.” He says.
“You know for a guy, you’re awfully hopeful.” I laugh.
“And I loath myself everyday for it” He says then begins to laughs “why do you always get so weird when guys start to like you?”
“I’m not being weird.” I says begging to form curls with my iron “I just find it hard to believe... especially with someone like him.”
“Oh come on you are his complete fantasy.” He says “compared to the people he meets on the road, sure they are probably hot but I bet you they have the personality of a cracker.”
I laugh “so what?”
“He probably likes you cause he can relate to you more. For instance your both in a band.” He says like it’s the most obvious thing in the world “plus your an attractive women or girl or whatever, you kinda look like him though other than the big blue eyes.”
“I have noticed that” I say thinking about our conversations from the previous night, then I shrug my shoulders “oh well.”
“And your a good female singer with a killer range and a whiskey voice, doesn’t happen often.”
“Thanks Kenny” I smirk “now don’t you have something better to do?”
“Not really” He says “I need a girlfriend.”
“You really do.” I say “take Jen or someone out to the bars and go fucking meet some people.”
“Maybe” He says.
“Jimmy did say you could come to the after party, even though I have no idea where it is.”
“No, not after what happened last time. I don’t have good luck with the groupie girls.” He sighs
“Kenny I think your forgetting that your fucking drum player... start acting like it.” I say “those girls would pay more attention to you if you showed some style and I don’t know showed some dominance.”
“Easy for you to say, your a girl.” He huffs.
“Yeah I know!” I snap “and I know what girls like.”
“Whatever.” He says.
“Look we will talk about this later I have to finish getting ready.” I ask.
“Fine.” Kenny says going back to the couch.
“Thanks!” I yell finishing up my hair.

For some reason I was on Mick Fanning’s website the other day and I noticed he had said “Can’t even count how many times I’ve been to Indo, but I know it never gets old.”  Having made my first trip to Indo only two years ago, after forty-something years of surfing, I cannot imagine ever being able to say that.  But, after another two trips this year, I CAN say “Going to Indo is always new!”
This most recent trip was a Mentawais boat trip onboard the Switchfoot with Captain and fellow kneeboarder Jason Quinn of Sumatra Charters.  Kenny Honingford again organized a group of eight California kneeboarders for the first all-kneeboard charter on this new 52’ power catamaran.  The crew was Fred Peterson (Central California), Ed Dimick, Jamie Carrillo, Jim Richardson, and Kenny (Newport/Huntington), and Joe Coyne, Matt Cunningham, and myself (San Diego). Ed and Matt were making their first Indo trip and Jamie was making his first surf trip (yes, first surf trip ever!
The crew’s goal was to score uncrowded surf and Jason did a fantastic job of doing just that for us, especially as we headed south.  Along the way we scored small Macaronis at first light and again on the northbound leg of the trip several days later.  Our second session at Maccas was bigger and more consistent, and everyone scored some nice barrels and logged some serious hours in the lineup.  Of course, this route takes you past Thunders which we also surfed on two occasions and enjoyed the biggest waves of our trip.  Even though the surf was on the small side for the entire trip, the sessions at Thunders provided well overhead, powerful peaks, and racy walls to challenge everyone.  Even Jason was found walking on the island with his board.  When asked what happened he casually said “Ah mate, I just got washed in by one!”
As we pulled up early one morning to a really fun right-hander that is kind of a cross between Bintangs and Roxy’s, I asked the location in general terms in relation to Thunders.  Ya gotta love Jason as his reply was to fold his arms across his body, point both index fingers up from his shoulders and say “that way!”  I got it, and laughed!  In this area there were a couple of other spots nearby that we didn’t surf, but were able to check out for the next trip.
A highlight for us was spending parts of three days at a hollow left-hander that is pretty far south of the usual spots.  Kenny was the hero on day two when he returned from fishing with a Spanish mackerel estimated to be about 40 pounds.  A smaller mackerel and a trevally were also brought in that day which made for some fantastic meals.  We were the only boat until the morning of the third day when a boat with some Aussie surfers finally showed up.  It was smiles all around as four of them eventually paddled out and took their places in the lineup, sharing waves, and trading stories of other waves surfed along the way.
We were stoked to be on the Switchfoot for this trip!  It was comfortable inside and out, and made good time when moving between breaks. The Switchfoot crew was fantastic and we felt we had the best cook in the Mentawais.  It seemed like daily someone in our group would comment on how he never stopped working, preparing the next meal.  Jason said that he’s in high demand and feels fortunate to have him.
As we arrived back to California and prepared to split up there were high fives for the waves we shared and time spent together.  Reflecting on this trip I keep smiling inside.  I realize that 3-4 years ago I had a bucket list of surf trips with a Mentawais boat trip on the top.  Now, there are two lists….the surf trip bucket list, and the next trip to the Mentawais.

Defensive II - Kenny Omega
By popular demand, a second part of my ‘Defensive’ series featuring Canadian icon and intergalactic treasure Kenny Omega.  Part I is here.

- - -
Right after Kenny’s original tweets happened, the Bucks had put in their two cents, like they always did, and the internet went crazy.  You weren’t prepared.
@KennyOmegamanX: And yes, I do have a girlfriend that works there. She's done more for creative that those two idiots have ever done. Especially the cowboy
@MattJackson13:  hahaha @KennyOmegamanX you are 100% right. Maybe now the cowboy will have to unblock you to retort. We all know how he likes to bully.
@NickJacksonYB:  And maybe the bleach blonde wannabe will finally get his head of out his ass & realize nobody EVER asks for his opinion for a reason.
@KennyOmegamanX: You mean the cowboy doesn’t run the company like he thinks he does? Why else would he tell my girl her job is just an insurance policy?
@NickJacksonYB: you know how it is. Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth.
@MattJackson13: and too much hair dye really does seep through your skull, kids.  Even one as thick as his.
Everyone went absolutely nuts at the tweets.  Nobody could tell what was real or not anymore.  Fans came up with theories.  ‘Maybe it’s just a harmless rib like the whole storyline in Being the Elite’ ; ‘They obviously all know each other and are friendly with each other.  This just gets people talking about both of them.  It’s win-win for everyone involved cause we’re talking about them.’ ; ‘This reads like they legit hate each other.  Whatever happened with Kenny’s girlfriend is obviously real, and now there’s bad blood.  It’s so obvious.’
Dolph had responded, of course, but in a very diplomatic and corporate way while still using his humour because, well, he was forced to.  You knew if he had free reign he’d be hitting back just as hard, but he had a company to answer to, and a code of conduct to follow on social media, and laying out the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega on Twitter wasn’t a part of that code.  His responses only made the Bucks taunt more.  JBL, for his part, stayed silent on the entire situation.  He had enough to worry about, you guessed, plus there was the whole Mauro Ranallo debacle thing still fresh in people’s minds.  If he said anything else, it might just incriminate him even more.  The back and forth between Dolph and the Bucks had been going on for weeks.  You lay low, not really seeing Dolph despite working on the same show as him, but you knew you were bound to run in to him eventually.
That’s why you were on the phone with Nick now.  It was nice and all, standing up for you, but once was enough.  It didn’t need to last weeks.
“You guys need to stop,” you hissed into the phone as you saw the latest tweet the Bucks had thrown the way of Dolph Ziggler.
“Why?”
“Just…because.  Once was okay but now it’s like some sort of saga.  I appreciate it but you guys shouldn’t really be doing that.”
“Hey, come on!  It’s fun!” Nick pleaded, like it was his job to do what he was doing.  “If you’re Kenny’s girl, it means you’re our girl too.”
“Yeah!  You’re our girl too!” you heard Matt yell into the phone, making you realize you were probably on speakerphone.
You scrunched up your face.  “You guys have wives.  And children.”
“Yeah…well…” Nick chuckled slightly.  “Until Kenny puts a ring on it you’re our girl too.  That’s it.”
You snorted.  “You guys are nuts.”
“We know.”
You sighed, knowing you weren’t getting anywhere with them.  “Okay, well, I’ve got to go.  I’ve got a creative meeting,” you said.  “You guys have a safe flight to Pittsburgh, okay?  Call me when you get there.”
“We will sweetcheeks.  Give ‘em hell,” Nick said before hanging up.
- - -
You covered your mouth with your hands, unable to look away from the screen despite the mess that was currently happening in the ring.  Your stomach was in knots; your whole body was starting to feel like it was on fire.  You couldn’t believe what you were seeing.
James Ellsworth climbing a ladder.  James Ellsworth grabbing the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase.  James Ellsworth dropping it down to Carmella.
“What the fuck was that?” you asked to no one in particular, although Sami was sitting right beside you, basically having the same reaction as you.  “What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck,” you kept muttering under you breath.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Sami look over at you.  “That wasn’t supposed to happen, was it?” he asked.
You could only shake your head, still trying to process everything.  “I mean, it was supposed to be Carmella all along, but not like this.”
“So maybe there will be hope that plans will chance last minute and I’ll win my Money in the Bank?” Sami tried to make light of the situation, but you weren’t having it.  You felt sick to your stomach.
“Sami…” you began to shake your head, clutching at your stomach.  You felt like you were going to throw up.  Your body was even starting to shake – out of fear, out of disbelief, out of disgust.  All of your hard work to plan and prepare for this historic moment, where millions of little girls would be watching their heroes battle for the Money in the Bank suitcase – all that work was down the drain.  All that work resulted in a man grabbing the suitcase.  “They trashed the original plans.  They trashed my plans.  I don’t know who okayed this.  I don’t even know if the other girls know.”
“It’ll be okay,” Sami patted your shoulder, knowing how stressed you became when things like this happened, mostly because they happened so much.  “I’m sure the girls were told about it beforehand.”
You weren’t so sure.  And later that night, as you spoke to the women associated in the match, you learned the truth – they were told only fifteen minutes before show time.  You were heartbroken.  You made sure they knew that the Ellsworth ending wasn’t the original plan, and they believed you.  You were thankful at their faith in you, and you all understood each other’s disappointment at the moment being taken away from the women in the ring. That didn’t stop you from feeling sick for two days straight.  That didn’t stop you from feeling helpless, feeling powerless, feeling ineffective at your job.  That didn’t stop you from crying in Sami’s hotel room.
That didn’t stop you from pulling Hunter into a room to talk a few hours before Smackdown Live and declaring, “I quit.”
He tried not to show shock on his face but it was clear to you he wasn’t expecting this.  “You what?”
“I’m not making a difference here.  My work means nothing.  Nothing is getting across.  I can’t work in an environment like that anymore.  I just can’t.”
“Whoa whoa whoa, wait,” Hunter put his hands up.  “Let’s not make any rash decisions, okay?  Talk to me.  What’s going on?”
“Listen, I’m really grateful that you gave me a chance, that you listened to Sami and gave me a go, but I can’t do it anymore,” you began shaking your head.
“Does this have anything to do with the incident that happened with JBL and Dolph?” he asked, his tone serious as he stared you down.
“No,” you shook your head vehemently.  “I’m over that.  I was over that two weeks after it happened.”
“Okay, listen.  I’m not letting you go.  I think you’re making an impulsive decision based on what happened Sunday night --”
“Hunter --”
“I’ll grant you a leave of absence.  How long do you want?  Three months?  Four months?  Six months?  But you’re not leaving.”
You were so angry you felt like you were going to cry.  “I don’t need a leave of absence --”
“You’re going to Japan at the end of the week anyway, right?  Take some time to think about your position and your career here, and when you get back, we’ll talk,” he said, side-stepping you so that he could leave the room, cutting your conversation short.
You really didn’t know whether to cry or scream at this point.
- - -
Every time you went to Japan, you found something new to love about the country.  Whether you were staying in Tokyo with Kenny or travelling with him to other cities like Osaka or Hiroshima, you loved everything you saw; the clean streets, the polite people, the obsessed wrestling fans.  This trip was poised to be extra eye opening to you, and you knew it.  You had promised yourself you were going to try to leave your work stress behind, but you knew it was going to be nearly impossible.  Kenny was able to see right through you – just as he had in that hotel room when the JBL and Dolph situation was bothering you.  You wondered how long it would take for him to notice.  Better yet, you wondered how long it would take you to break and tell him.
Like always, Kenny had met you at the airport with a giant smile and a touchy hug that made you want to jump his bones immediately.  But living in Japan meant no car, which resulted in you having to wait until the taxi driver dropped you off at Kenny’s apartment before you could fuck each other senseless.  It had been almost two months since you had seen each other, so you definitely took your time to get reacquainted.  By the end of it your voice sounded like you had been screaming for days, and Kenny joked he needed an inhaler.  One more round of steamy shower sex later, and you were both out the door to grab lunch.
Not that he needed to keep up some machismo bravado around his buddies, but when Kenny was alone with you, without Sami or the Bucks or the rest of the Bullet Club around, he became more touchy-feely; hands on the small of your back, arms draped across your shoulders or waist, kisses on your forehead.  As you sometimes didn’t see him for months on end, you welcomed this and loved it more than anything.  You’d participate willingly too – your favourite thing was to run your hands along the waistband of his jeans, or sneak your hand underneath his shirt and hoop a finger through a belt loop.  There’d be a fire in his eyes he’d look at only you with, and you would fall in love with him all over again.
Without even asking he automatically knew what you wanted to do.  After lunch he took you to stores so you could stock up on gifts for your family and little cousins.  Then, he took you to Shinjuku Gardens, where the two of you lay underneath a tree and cuddled, kissing each other but regretfully stopping before it could become a full-blown public make-out session.  He got recognized along the way, especially after the gardens and during dinner.  Fans were polite and eager to meet him, apologizing to you, but you didn’t mind.
Later in the night, after you had finished your evening stroll through the streets of Tokyo, the two of you retreated back to Kenny’s apartment.  By that point, you were really feeling the jetlag but were still able to go about your nightly routine.  When you were finished, he was already in bed, boxers on and top off – just how you liked him.  The way his eyes lit up at the sight of you in your simple silk camisole and short shorts made you think you were just how he liked you as well.
“I think I may just be the happiest man in Japan right now,” Kenny beamed as he sat up, back against the headboard as he watched you crawl into bed.  You smirked at him, throwing your leg over his torso and straddling him.  His hands automatically went to your thighs, squeezing and rubbing his hands all over them.  “I get you aaaaaall to myself.”
“Mmm, and I get you all to myself.  Fourteen whole nights,” you leaned forward to kiss him quickly, your nails scratching up and down his chest lightly.
“I wish it could be for longer,” Kenny lamented.  “It always seems so short.  But I guess I should be thankful that you get the time off, however short it is.”
His words obviously struck a chord with you.  There was a very real possibility that you would have a lot more time to be with him, and soon to boot.  And he had no idea.  You obviously hadn’t mentioned anything to him – not the disaster of a pay-per-view, not your conversation with Hunter, not the option he gave you of taking a leave of absence.  “Can I tell you something?”
“Of course you can.”
“Please don’t get mad.”
You could see Kenny have flashbacks to the last conversation where you asked him not to get mad before you revealed something to him.  It took only a second for him to become very serious, and very angry.  “Did something happen at work again?  Did those fuckers say something to you again?” he demanded.
“No.  They didn’t say anything.  They uh…they couldn’t say anything because I quit.”
Kenny looked taken aback.  “You what?  You quit your job?”
You nodded your head.  “Uh, well kind of.  My last day was the day I flew out.”
“What do you mean kind of?”
You sighed.  “Well, I told Hunter that I quit, but he didn’t really like…accept it?  He told me not to make any rash decisions, that he would give me a leave of absence instead so I could rethink my position and career with the company,” you explained.
“Oh, baby,” Kenny said, leaning forward and giving you another quick kiss.  “What made you want to quit?  Is it that bad?”
“It’s not that bad.  It’s just…” you began, trying to find the words.  It was that simple question that made you begin to cry.  You looked at the sky, trying to stop the tears, but it didn’t help.  “I couldn’t do it anymore, Kenny.  I wasn’t going anywhere.  Nobody was listening to me.  We had planned the Women’s Money in the Bank match and then they changed it fifteen minutes before we went live to that God-awful ending and I just couldn’t take it anymore.”
“Hey hey, it’s okay, I get it,” he cooed, trying to calm you down.  He brought one of his hands up to your face and cupped your cheek.
“You should have seen me in that room with Hunter,” you began.  “God I wanted to cuss him out so bad, but I couldn’t do that to Sami.  I just can’t.  He’s already getting shit booking as is and everyone associates us with each other and I just couldn’t, I couldn’t…”
“Shhhhhh, it’s alright,” he tried to get you to calm down.  “There’s only so much you can do, only so much you can take.  If you want to quit, quit.”
You leaned into him so that you were flush against his body; your head nestled into the crook of his neck.  You inhaled his scent as he wrapped his arms around you protectively.  “Will you still love me if I’m a bum with no job?” you asked, trying desperately to make light of the situation.
You felt Kenny chuckle.  “Yes, I would still love you if you were a bum with no job,” he said.  “You’ve known the entire time we’ve been together you don’t need to work.”
Did you ever.  It was something Kenny constantly brought up because it was one of, if not the main reason you stayed in North America in the first place.  That you were able to hold down a job in the WWE, with creative, was a point of pride for you for a long time, no matter what anybody said.  It wasn’t necessarily a point of contention between you and Kenny – though he brought up the fact he had more than enough to support the both of you more often than not – but it was something he clearly thought about a lot.  The two of you had plans, plans that you had spoken about at length and came to an agreement to, and those plans did not include you quitting your job and everything being up in the air.  “It was never about that.  I wanted to make a difference somehow.  For people like Sami.  For people like you.  You know that.  And through all my time there, it just seems like I can’t, I just can’t.  It’s impossible.  Now I just feel so defeated.”
“Hey, listen to me,” he said, guiding your head up to look him in the eye.  “You’ll only feel defeated if you let yourself feel defeated.  I know you can kick ass over there because you already have.  You need to do whatever feels right for you, not what’s right for me, or for Sami, or anyone else.”
You smiled appreciatively, leaning forward to kiss him again.  “You’re the bees knees, you know that?” you mumbled against his lips.
He smiled before sliding down the bed with you still on top of him and reaching over to turn the lamp off.  “Come on, let’s go to bed.”
With his arms still around you, he turned both your bodies on their sides and threw the covers over you.  You snuggled close, burying your face in the crook of his neck again, drifting off to sleep.
- - -
The next morning, you woke up before Kenny.  You were still a bit jetlagged, so when you looked over to the clock to see that it was only 5:15am, you understood why Kenny wasn’t already up.  He looked so peaceful, his mouth slightly open and the softest of snores filling the air.  You figured quickly that you wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep, so you made an effort to slip out of bed as quietly as possible, as to not wake Kenny.  You knew he needed his sleep.
You made your way over to the washroom, switching on the light and waiting patiently for your eyes to adjust to the light.  You did your business, rubbing at your eyes to get any gunk out of the before flushing the toilet and turning towards the mirror.
Your hair was a mess, and your skin looked particularly dead today, probably because you had spent thirteen hours on a flight to Tokyo just one day ago and because your eyes were still only half open.  In your half-awaken state, you turned on the tap and washed your face quickly, grabbing at a towel once you were finished.
As you patted your face dry, you noticed something on one of your hands.  On your left hand.  A ring.
You dropped the towel, inspecting your hand, making sure you weren’t hallucinating or still asleep or somehow a participant in an optical illusion.
Nope.  There was totally a ring on your ring finger.  You felt your heart start beating uncontrollably and your stomach jump into your throat.
“KENNNNNYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!”

the fractured but decent
I just finished the new South Park game, The Fractured But Whole, so naturally, I want to pick apart every detail and review it in disgusting depth.
It might seem unfair to compare it to Stick of Truth, but I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of that.
Obviously, I'm a huge SP fanboy, and had been following the release of the game months beforehand. I watched an interview with Matt and Trey, and they gave a lot of insight into the game, how it would be different from SoT, and how it would be similar. That too will play into my analysis.
Obviously, spoilers ahead.
Let's divide this up for clarity. I'll go through general gameplay, plot, side quests and collectibles, mechanics/UI, and general thoughts, in that order.
Gameplay is a vague term so let's subdivide that: combat, powers, effects and exploration.
Combat is decent. I prefer the system set up in SoT, but the new system has its pros. I like the grid, moving around, and how your stats effect where you can move on the battleground. For example, Clyde has such a high "movement" stat that he can move almost anywhere on the grid.
But it can also get frustrating and confusing. Sometimes there's so many players on the board that moving becomes impossible. Sometimes you're stuck with combat buddies that can't attack, and sometimes it's unclear as to what the board will look like after your turn. For example, knockbacks and moves that change your location aren't always obvious as to how they’ll play out.
Finally, "inspection mode". It's meant to be used to get details on your friends and foes in battle, like their class, their health, and, most confusingly, their status effects and durations thereof. I never used it, and I think it just served to make combat more confusing.
Powers, I'll admit, kinda suck. Once you reach a point in the game where, for some back-assward reason, you unlock ALL POSSIBLE POWERS, it becomes a game of making a goddamn spreadsheet to weigh the pros and cons of more than 15 powers to decide which 4 you can have active in combat. Now, they give us a bit of help by allowing you to switch powers and buddies before a battle, but taking 20 minutes to pick your best powers beforehand is tedious, but also, unfortunately, necessary.
Also, they aren't very interesting or varied. Most powers involve a punch or hit, but there's like 8 of them that are basically the same. A lot don't make sense for their class, while others are completely useless. Finally, fuck all the healing powers. If you've got Kyle on your team, he's 50% a healer, so you have 2 (very weak) moves to use to deal damage. The healing items are much more effective, at least in my opinion.
Effects. What I mean by that is "Might", stats, and "artifacts". This is a lot of convoluted spreadsheet math again. There's hundreds of items that you can stick in your stats to improve your "Might". This is very hard to explain and even harder to balance.
Say you have six slots. There's more than 100 things that can go in those slots. Some of them improve your health stat, but eliminate your ability to move. Some of them downgrade your buddies' health while increasing your damage dealt. There's a total of (I think) 12 stats that can be affected by these "artifacts". Each one is assigned a number, and adding up all these numbers gives you your "Might" - which I still don't understand what, if anything, this means.
Exploration. Very little has changed since SoT in this department except there's fewer fast-travel locations, a slightly bigger map, and more (and better) puzzles throughout the world. One of my gripes would be the uselessness of many locations - a good 50% of the buildings or locations are only relevant once, and there's no need to revisit them later. (Canada, Mephesto's, the strip club, the Italian restaurant, City Wok, and U-Stor-It just to name a few).
But like I said, the puzzles are quite good, and actually challenging at times. Sometimes it involves spotting something a buddy can knock over, or noticing a little pinwheel that can get you on top of buildings. With the addition of the fart powers (reverse, pause, summon self and shift night/day), these puzzles are more complex and often have multiple steps involved.
Alright, onto the plot. I think it's much better than SoT. It starts out similar, with one faction of kids against the other, then brought together to fight a bigger foe. But they did this in a better, funnier, and ultimately more effective way, in my opinion.
For example, what seems like a silly side-quest leads to Stan (from the other faction) helping your faction, which then leads to both groups joining once they discover something bigger going on.
Now, this "bigger thing" is pretty confusing, especially at first. There's a lot of parts that don't seem to match up. The mayor is apparently failing the city, the cops are working for a racist slime monster (literally), and the sixth-graders are hoarding cats. It eventually comes together: the town is falling apart due to the main foe putting cat urine into the city's drugs and alcohol in order to cause chaos to usurp the mayor's seat. A lot of random groups get involved, like the sixth graders and Butters, to try and capitalize on the situation.
Which brings me to the second half of the game, where, in my opinion, a lot of comedic gold is made without it relying too much on nostalgia and throwbacks to the show. Mitch Conner, the main bad guy, is a joke I've never found particularly funny in the show, but in the game, it was easily one of the smartest moves they made.
"Mitch" (Cartman's hand puppet) kidnaps your parents in order to get you to help him win the mayoral race. As soon as this is revealed, all the characters react as they should: by blaming Cartman. No matter how much he insists "Mitch" is acting on his own, independent of himself, everyone turns on Cartman and he goes into hiding.
This, to me, is a much better way of bringing the plot together than in SoT, where the main villain's (Clyde’s) motivation is not very clear or believable. When we see "Mitch's" motivation for becoming mayor (to make every day Christmas), it's so absurd and Cartman-like that it works incredibly well.
And probably the funniest part of the game, right at the end, is when suddenly Mitch Conner takes over Kyle's hand. It makes no sense, but after the entire problem being blamed on Cartman, it takes a hilarious turn, suggesting that maybe Cartman really wasn't really behind everything after all.
And finally, the last battle. There's a bit of bullshit about going forward and back in time, but it ultimately leads to a hilarious battle where the characters fight themselves from the past - when they were still "playing" Stick of Truth. SuperCraig fights Thief Craig, Human Kite Kyle fights High Jew Elf Kyle and et cetera. There was also a great throwaway line from Wendy: "Hey, now I finally get to play Stick of Truth!"
Onto side quests and collectibles. I've stuck these together because they're pretty much the same. There's only maybe 8 side quests, and almost all of them are just "collect X and return to character Y". There's a lot to be desired in that department, in my opinion, but there is some good stuff in the "filling out your character sheet" plotline. Like the farting-flying-unicorn minigame where you help Kanye West's mother reach heaven so you can meet Jesus and choose your religion. Or when you have to learn about microagressions from PC Principal to choose your race.
As for the collectibles themselves, they're a bit much. Collect Yaoi, toilets, artifacts, costumes, Memberberries, Coonstagram followers, character sheets, cats. But that's up to you to care which achievements you pursue.
Now, mechanics and UI. This is the one category I will unapologetically shit on till the cows come home, with the exception of the phone menu, which is actually a very smart way to organize the massive amount of UI in place.
The artifact menu is a mess. It's confusing and frustrating. Same with the powers menu. Very hard to navigate intelligently. Props to the crafting menu, which is rather straightforward. But outside of the phone, the simple act of pulling up the map, seeing your quests and seeing your progress on those quests is very much lacking.
It gets even worse when we get into combat UI. When it's your turn, you get to choose between your three powers and healing items. It's actually somewhat trial-and-error when you go for an attack. Which power is most effective, and from which position on the board? It's a good thing it's turn-based and not timed, because I often found myself spending a good minute or two testing out every possible move.
And I'd be amiss if I didn't talk buddies. There's waaaay too many, and it's pretty easy to see the best ones and never change them: Wendy, Tweek, Cartman and Clyde were my team for the entire game, because nearly all the others have massive, gaping flaws in their combat abilities. For example, Stan only has two good moves, and they're very situation-dependent. They only help if he's in a specific spot and the enemies are lined up perfectly. He, along with Kyle, Kenny and Jimmy, are pretty useless.
Finally, general thoughts. Obviously, no matter my gripes, it's a great game. It's got enough from the last game and enough from the show to make it work. I found it much funnier than the last game, but, and here's one of my biggest problems with it: it was very short.
This brings me back to when I watched Matt and Trey talk about the game pre-release. They specifically said that this game would be longer. It only took me 20 hours to finish the main plotline AND all the side quests and collectibles. The last game took me nearly 30 hours just to finish the main quest.
Also, they said the combat would be harder. It’s definitely more confusing and convoluted, but overall, it was pretty damn easy, (and I played on the hardest setting), and I only died maybe three times.
Two of the three fart powers (summon self and switch night/day) are pretty useless; I would've liked more interesting uses for these powers, or, even better, different ones. Reverse time and pause time have great applications in nearly every aspect of gameplay, whereas the other two only get used once or twice in very specific circumstances.
Again, I only gripe because I love the show and the games; I wouldn't put this much thought into it if I didn't. There was a lot that I feel like they missed out on, but there was definitely a lot that they got right. Every building has something to offer, unlike SoT, and there's a lot more in the way of puzzles, characters and overall comedy.
I do hope there'll be another game, but I don't know how that would really happen. If they're going to stick to the RPG genre, well, the kids have only ever played Game of Thrones and superheroes in the show. I don't know that there's another way to do this sort of game.
But hey, as we all know, Matt and Trey are full of surprises.
Stay Greater.

Scoundrels
OK. This has been a work in progress for a long ass time. I almost just decided not to post it because I did some research and I think that a lot of people did kind of the same theme I’m going for here. I hope you guys like it, I hope it’s well written, I hope I can continue this series.
Summary: Unnamed OC has been dating Adam Cole for 6 months. AU takes place around the time that the BC have been plotting to fire Adam but haven’t told (Y/N) yet. Marty shows up, flirting ensues, Adam gets possesive and jealous. But Adam is also so distant and secretive with some texts, emails, and phone calls he’s been getting as of late. (Part two to come if this goes over well?) Warnings: Cursing. Jealous Adam. Possessive Sexy time. Wondering what Adam Cole is up to. Word Count:2906

“Come on, Adam!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. I slammed my hands down on the mat in time with the crowds’ claps to get him up. Instead, he just lay there, holding his ribs with one hand. “Get up!” I yelled again.
He stumbled to his feet. His opponent, Marty Scurll, thrashed his umbrella up the side of Adam’s face. It went flying out of the ring, nearly hitting me. I gasped at the sight of my boyfriend lying on the mat of the ring. Scurll’s arm wrapped around his leg and pushed his shoulders down. The ref hit the mat, for the first count and I jumped onto the apron and faked to come through the ropes, making sure Marty noticed me.
His wide-eyed smirk told me he was all too thrilled about me trying to jump in and help. The ref stopped the count as planned, yelling at me to get out of the ring. Marty released Adam and walked over towards me, looking me up and down.
“Come on, Love.” The Villain called me with a wave of his hand. “You know you want to play with the big boys.”
I swallowed hard. I was still unsure of what this man was capable of and didn't know if I was ready to find out. Luckily, I could see Adam rallying behind Marty out of the corner of my vision but attempted to keep the focus on me.
“Come show me what you've got.” I snapped at Scurll.
The grin on his face was enough to knock me out of the ring, “Gladly, Darling.” He growled and took another step towards me.
I dropped to the mat and slid underneath the rope just in time to see Adam wrap his arms around Marty’s midsection and pull him into one of the most painful suplexes I had seen him perform.
The ref hit the three count and I couldn't help but mumble, “Good riddance.”
----
A week later….
“You guys have been hanging out with who?” Adam growled at Nick and Matt who were sitting across from us at Denny's.
I couldn't help but smile at the strain on Adam’s face. He was so cute when he was angry, at least when he was angry with someone else. We had been dating for the last 6 months, which was shortly after I had become a member of the Bullet Club. Of course, being the main female member and Adam Cole’s girlfriend meant I was constantly over protected and watched over. Honestly, I never felt like Adam took my wrestling seriously.
“Marty Scurll,” Matt said his name again, “He's a pretty cool guy to hang out with. You guys should get to know him.”
Adam looked at me, “Do you believe this? This was the same man that just tried to break my fingers and kill me with an umbrella and these guys are making episodes of ‘Being the Elite’ with him.”
I sipped on my coffee, “Pretty crappy of them if you ask me.”
“Hey, (Y/N)! Don't be like that!” Nick grumbled, “I take offense.”
I rolled my eyes but kept my mouth shut. Adam and Kenny hadn't been on good terms as of late and I knew the only reason Marty was around was because Kenny willed it. As much as I liked Adam, I wasn't really willing to give up my Club membership for him. So it was best to just go along with Kenny’s plans, whatever they may be.
“Hey, guys!” A cockney accent came from behind us.
I didn't have to turn to see who it was, I knew Marty had been invited by the Young Bucks to have breakfast with us. I also didn't have to look to know that Adam was seething at the sound of Marty’s voice.
“Hey, Marty!” The Bucks said and stood to welcome him. Adam and I remained sitting.
Marty turned to Adam and I, “Hey, long time no see.” He stuck his hand out for Adam who begrudgingly took it.
“Marty,” Cole said curtly.
“Come on now, man. Let’s not allow the past to come in between us. We can all be good mates, right?” Marty chuckled.
“Sure we can.” Adam’s lips were still pressed together in a thin line of disapproval.
Marty turned his attention towards me, “Hello, Darling.” He flashed a smile at me like he did the other night.
I could feel anger boiling inside of me. I stuck my hand out to shake Scurll’s, “I prefer to go by, (Y/N).”
Marty turned my hand over and kissed the back of it, looking up at me through his eye lashes as he did. “Pleasure to meet you...again. I haven’t forgotten about you.” He half whispered.
I felt a blush creep from my neck to my cheeks. Suddenly, Adam’s chair went flying back as he stood up. I jumped at the sound of it scrapping across the floor, wrenching it away from Scurll’s grasp. His blue eyes were cold as he glared at the Brit.
“Back off.” He half growled.
Marty leaned back in his chair and held his hands up, “Did I do something wrong?” He asked.
I stood next to Adam and wrapped my arm around his, attempting to pull him back before the scene got further out of hand. “Adam, he didn’t know. Come on, let’s go home.”
“Didn’t know wha-?” Scurll’s eyes darted between Adam and I, “Oh.” He said above a whisper. “Oh!” He said a little louder as the realization hit him. “You two are actually together then? My apologies, Cole. I wasn’t trying anything with your girl. I wouldn’t ever do that to a Bullet Club friend.”
Adam took a step closer, muscling through my attempts to keep him back, “I don’t share, Marty. My girl, my club, my spotlight.” He took my hand and hauled me off to the register so we could pay our tab, “Come on, (Y/N). Time to go home.”
----
The drive home was so quiet my ears were ringing as I pushed my key into the lock of Adam and I’s flat. He hadn’t said a word but I knew he was still fuming and was trying to calm down from the whole incident at breakfast. Most likely, Adam was embarrassed that he had caused a scene. I hadn’t ever seen him act that way. Normally, he’d put an arm around my waist and kiss me roughly in front of any guy that tried to flirt.
I twisted the knob and pushed the door open to our living room. Adam immediately went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, still not saying a word to me. A sigh escaped my lips and I headed off towards our small, cozy bed room to put my purse and shoes away.
He’s overreacting. I thought to myself as I kicked off my Chuck Taylors. Marty isn’t a threat to him. I don’t even know Marty. I care about Adam. There was a twinge of anger the twisted in my gut. Adam has been so distant lately. Today started off different and we were beginning to enjoy ourselves like before him and Kenny had their ‘disagreement’. If it weren’t for Marty, Adam and I would probably be laughing and kissing and talking. He ruined my day. I huffed at the thought, setting my purse on the hook next to my nightstand.
A hand on my shoulder caused me to jump. I knew it was Adam’s, that wasn’t what had my heart racing. It was the forceful way that hand spun me around to face him; how it gripped me tightly when Adam’s hungry lips met mine. His arm wrapped around my waist pulling my body as close to him as he could manage.
“You’re mine.” He whispered against my lips.
A whimper was all I could manage before his lips began to devour mind again. His hand had moved from shoulder to my hair, refusing to allow me to come up for air from his kisses. Adam’s erection was pressed against my thigh roughly as it tented out in his basketball shorts.
There was a tug at my roots and Adam pulled me by my hair to throw me on the bed in front of him. He reached for the hem of my sun dress and tried to pull it off my body before I had time to unbutton the facets on my back. I heard the rip of fabric behind me as it was painfully forced off my body. I fell back on the bed, looking up at him with a glare that would kill anyone else.
“You ripped another one of my dresses!” I exclaimed, angry with him.
He ignored my comment and instead pulled his shirt off over his head. I couldn’t help but bite my lip at the sight of his well sculpted body. The lines from his muscles had my hands itching to reach out for him. I stubbornly tried to push the thoughts of licking the ‘V’ shaped lines down to his hard member out of my mind.
“You… you’re.. You’re not going to distract me from being upset about my dress!” I scolded.
Adam was too busy rubbing his cock from the outside of his shorts to pay any attention to what I was saying. His eyes were wandering my frame that was sprawled out on the bed. I was only wearing a pair of lacy pink panties and a defiant glare.
“All mine.” He mumbled, pushing his shorts and boxers down his hips. I watched his cock spring free and let out another moan. By now I was soaked through the fabric of my panties with want for him. “You’re in for a treat, baby.” His hand gently traced a swirly pattern along my thigh up to my core. “I’m going to fuck you harder than ever before.” His fingers nimbly hooked onto the lace, barely brushing my folds. “You’re going to go hoarse from screaming my name.”
There was a tug at the fabric and then I heard a RIP from my hips. Adam held up the scraps of what use to be my undergarments and gave me a shit eating grin. “Oops,” was all he said before dropping down to his knees between my thighs.
“Adam fucking Cole, you son of a-,“ I sucked in air as his tongue flicked my clit once, whimpering as it happened again and again. My head spun from the sensation and I was already beginning to see stars. His bottom lip pushed up against my bud then his tongue rapidly swiped over it as quick as possible.
My hips bucked against his face. I was so close to the edge, but my body need something. It needed him to fill my throbbing pussy with his cock. I whimpered as the climb to my orgasm seemed endless, “Fuck.” I hissed, “Adam, I just need you to fuck me already. Please!”
I felt his tongue stop mid lick against my heat. “Is that what you want?” He whispered against my sensitive wetness.
“Yes, please! Adam, I need you!” I begged.
Adam wasted little time. He stood and yanked the bedside drawer open, pulling out a condom and sliding it onto him with ease. I wiggled myself closer to him, eagerly waiting to have him inside of me. Adam took hold of my hips and pulled them towards where he stood at the edge of the bed. I reached down and gripped his member, guiding it towards my entrance. As soon as he felt the wetness on the head of his dick, he pushed it in roughly.
My eyes rolled back as he began to move inside of me, pumping in and out, using my hips as leverage. My hands gathered the sheets above my head into my fists, holding on for dear life as the orgasm that had been building came closer and closer still. My walls squeezed him and my legs wrapped around his hips. A chorus of moans and mewls sang from my throat.
“Fuck, Baby girl, you take this cock so well.” He growled. “This pussy, this body, it belongs to me. You belong to me and only me.”
He continued to slam in and out of me, my breasts bouncing with the force. Releasing one of my legs, Adam reached down and gently ran circles over my clit with his thumb. I couldn’t take it anymore. I cried out his name as my vision blurred.
Adam wasn’t going to give me any rest. As my orgasm hit, he pulled out and positioned me back farther onto the mattress. He grabbed my hips and rolled me over to my stomach. My legs shook a little as he propped me up so my ass was in the air.
“God, you’re beautiful. You’re all mine.” He growled again and shoved himself inside of me as quick as he could.
My walls were clenching around him again and more moans and curses spilled from my mouth. Adam gathered my hair up into one hand and jerked my head up. The pain in my scalp only caused me to moan louder as our head board slammed against the wall from the force of Adam fucking me. He pulled me up further so I was more in line with his body and his hand that had been holding my hips, moved to rub my clit again.
I began to cry out again, filled with pleasure. “Say my name, baby.” He whispered in my ear. His breath tickled my neck. “I want everyone in the complex to know who’s fucking you right.”
His cock hit my g spot just right and his finger flicked against my clit and I screamed, “Fuck! Adam! Oh my fucking God! Adam!”
I heard him groan his thrusts become sloppy. Adam’s climax came after just a few more pumps into me and I could feel his member throbbing from how hard he had came. We both collapsed onto the bed, out of breath and sweaty. My whole body was numb. I could feel the blood pumping through my veins as I lie there in a state of total bliss.
I rolled over to see Adam on his phone, brows furrowed as he read a text. Curling up onto his chest to snuggle, I kissed his skin that glistened with sweat. “What’s wrong? Got a noise complaint already?”
I could feel Adam shake his head, “No.” He said simply. “Just something I need to take care of in a minute.”
This time it was my turn to have the worried look on my face, “What?” I asked as I looked up at him, “What do you need to take care of?”
He set his phone down on the night stand and leaned back on the pillow, “Just a phone call I have to make.”
“You’re being awfully suspicious.” I said raising my head to look at him.
“It’s business. Nothing more. I’m not supposed to talk about it with any one.”
My curiosity was getting the better of me, “What do you mean you can’t talk about it with anyone?”
Adam shrugged, “I was told by the company that this issue must stay under wraps. You’ll find out soon enough.” He gave me a wink and a kiss on the forehead.
My head was still a little fuzzy from the heavenly sex we had just had, but I knew something was up. Something that I probably wasn’t going to like. It had me worried to say the least.
“Is this about Kenny?” I asked finally.
Adam’s eye twitched a little, “Can we not talk about this?”
“Why?”
“Because I don’t want to talk about Kenny and the Club right now. I’ve got bigger fish to fry.”
“Adam, what you said at Denny’s earlier…” I stopped, knowing that this was only going to start a fight. “Never mind.”
Cole sat up, causing me to move from his chest, “What?”
I chewed on my lower lip, “You said it was your club.”
“So?”
He was being incredibly difficult, “It’s not your’s though. Kenny is our leader.”
Adam rolled his eyes and walked over to grab his shorts that were crumbled up on the floor. “He may be your leader.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I spat back at him, “What on earth are you planning?”
“Nothing.” He shrugged again and put on his shoes.
“Where are you going?” I asked my chest feeling heavy.
“I gotta go make this phone call. We’re out of bread for sandwiches, I’ll go get some more while I talk to these people.” He walked over and gave me a light peck on the lips, “I’ll be back in a bit.”
I watched him leave our bedroom, then let out a sigh after I heard the front door shut. What is he up to? I thought to myself. Pulling myself together I stood to grab a glass of water. My black silk robe was laid out on the door of the closet and I quickly wrapped it around me so no one from the outside would catch a glimpse of me.
The water felt so refreshing against my sore throat. Now I just wish I had something to calm my head and heart from all this worry. My eyes wandered over to the bread box, where two full loaves of bread sat, ready to be eaten.

Give Me Just One Night
Pairing: Kenny Omega x AJ Styles
Summary: As AJ is settling himself into living in a foreign country, he doesn’t realize someone else is also becoming fairly comfortable with him as well (I kinda suck at summaries, but I also dislike giving TOO much away).
Warnings: None really? m/m smut, porn without much plot. A little bit of fluff here and there. Again, if you don't like slash pairings then don't read this fic.
•••
Its been a few months now and AJ was finally becoming accustomed to living in Tokyo, Japan. His run with NJPW had been a wild one so far, and even more fun now that he was with The Bullet Club. He has to admit he was pretty intimidated when he accepted the offer to wrestle in a foreign country but was grateful to be having many sponsors who could also speak English help him along the way (although most were hard to understand). Life in Japan was pretty great so far, until a new recruit for the Bullet Club came along.
When word got out that Kenny Omega would be joining it wasn’t a huge deal to AJ. He was a fantastic wrestler, he was incredible on the mic, and his promos were top notch– all three main points made Kenny the perfect addition to their brotherhood. As for getting to know him on a personal level, AJ was mostly impressed by how much they had in common with video games and music, and also at the fact that his new friend was fluent in speaking Japanese (which saved his ass in more ways than he could count). Pretty much every time they got to hang out together was spent playing in arcades, shopping for more games, and eating at various Japanese restaurants. AJ was quite glad that they were becoming really close friends and it’s something he needed to distract him from missing home too much, so he was thankful for that.
AJ hadn’t noticed anything different about Kenny’s behaviour until Matt pulled him aside before their six-man tag match that evening. They both discussed the run-down of what’s to happen with their opponents as usual, and when it was time for the two to be alone was when he finally had the chance to bring it up. “So I can’t help but notice that you and my boy Kenny have been getting awfully close lately,” Matt said in a teasingly voice. AJ scoffed and turned around to face his tag partner. “What the heck do you mean by that?” AJ replied, confused with the tone of Matt’s voice. “Well it’s just that whenever your back is turned Kenny is staring at you. I thought maybe you two had a thing going on. I mean you hang out with him more than anyone else in the crew.“ AJ laughed, thinking this was some sort of weird joke that the two brothers always seemed to play with him. “Oh yeah! We hold hands, have romantic walks, we even had our first kiss last night while playing Street Fighter! It was too cute, you shoulda been there.” AJ nudged Matt’s shoulder as he had a shit-eating grin plastered across his face.
“I’m not kidding around, man. I legitimately thought you two were seeing each other, and of course I would never judge it. Kenny’s like my brother and I support whatever choices he makes. He just seems happier after he comes home from chillin’ with you..” And before Matt could continue on Kenny had walked right around the corner towards them, of course his expression was instantly lit up as he saw AJ standing there instead of Nick as usual. AJ took notice of this but brushed simply brushed it off.
“Where’s Nick at?” Kenny asked, mostly surprised but also somewhat confused. “The fucker wasn’t feeling up to par tonight so I brought AJ here to fill in for us,” he replied as he gave the southern man a quick wink. Kenny nodded in approval and was the first to make his entrance as his music began to play. “Sounds good! It’s been a while since we got to wrestle as a team,” Kenny beamed as he threw AJ a two sweet, giving him a warm-hearted smile before he made his way out– the simple gesture leaving AJ quite flustered at that and Matt trying to hold back from laughing at his reaction.
AJ however, wasn’t amused in the least bit. As soon as Kenny disappeared through the dark curtains he grabbed Matt’s wrist before he could follow suit out after him. “I’m still legally married. There’s nothing going on between him and me. And not only that, we both know I’m as straight as they come.” The other half of the Young Bucks, wasn’t having it as he still had that same smirk on his face. Matt laughed as AJ let him go free, but not without giving AJ a quick slap against his manhood– leaving AJ slightly wincing in pain and cursing at his partner. “Oh gosh darn, that really sucks. You two would look soooo cute together!” Matt sang. He quickly dashed out onto the entrance ramp before AJ could get back at him. That little fucker is gonna get it when he ain’t expecting it. He made a mental note to get him back for later when he was least expecting it. There was no way Kenny saw him in whatever way he was thinking, so he ignored whatever ‘look’ Kenny gave him and convinced himself that he was reading too much into it.
The match went well as usual, and to AJ’s surprise there were no mistakes made as he couldn’t wrap his head around what Matt had told him prior. Each time he was tagged to go into the ring he felt like someone was fixated on watching him wrestle the entire time. And when it was his turn to tag Kenny in he could’ve swore he saw a some sort of ‘glimmer’ in his eyes before they switched spots. He watched Kenny wrestle but more so was focused on his body. He wasn’t a bad looking guy, he could admit to that. It’s not like it wasn’t in the norm to look at another man while wrestling so there was nothing weird about it. But even if Matt was telling the truth he convinced himself that it was just another rib against him and shoved any thoughts (or hints he may have realized before now that he thought of it) of Kenny actually being interested in him to the back of his mind. He doesn’t like me, and I’m not into guys. This asshole is just playing me. It was time to focus on the match. AJ was just glad when it was over so he could go back to his hotel room and sleep it off. He wasn’t really in the mood for the usual shenanigans with the rest of the guys, so he bid them all goodnight and was just glad that he was able to avoid seeing Kenny while doing so.
But he spoke too soon as he nearly dropped his bags when of course, as his luck would have it– Kenny was also checking into his room at the front desk. They both looked at each other dead in the eyes as AJ walked into the lobby so he didn’t have the chance to turn around and find another hotel. If there was anything AJ hated it was facing awkward situations that he couldn’t control.
“AJ! Our sponsor payed for our hotel rooms but it looks like we’re sharing the one tonight.” Kenny said as he thanked the lady afterward in Japanese. AJ tried to play it off like it wasn’t a problem at all and shrugged it off. But inside his mind began to race again. “It’s alright. We can game out tonight anyway, right? At least I’m not sharing a room with Gallows all week again.”
“Damn right we are. Just don’t be playing your fucking porn all night and we’ll be okay,” he replied as he tossed AJ one of the spare key cards. “I’ve heard stories, Uncle Allen.“
•••
As soon as AJ saw the hotel beds he tossed his luggage aside and instantly collapsed down onto the closest one from the door. It always felt so good to lay down after a match. His muscles were sore and his feet were killing him. It made him think of his old job back home and how easy it actually was, but of course he couldn’t put up with that bullshit company any longer, and he sure as hell didn’t want that shit pay check anymore. Which brought him here where he was really making a name for himself. He inwardly thanked Finn for inviting him out here and also accepting the opportunity to become leader of the Bullet Club.
“What’s on your mind, big guy?” Kenny chimed in, interrupting AJ’s inner thoughts as he took a seat on the spare bed next to his. AJ looked over at Kenny but couldn’t exactly give him eye contact as he was still feeling a tad bit uneasy with the tone that Kenny used earlier. Was he being goofy ole Kenny or was he actually flirting with him?
“Ahh, I’m just thinking of home is all,” he lied. He needed something to take this whole ordeal off of his mind.
Kenny responded with a sigh. “Yeah I know how that is sometimes. It took me a few months to get over being lonely for home.. but someon-” he paused for a brief moment before he continued on, “-picking up some hobbies really helped with that.”
AJ turned away and stared at the ceiling. He kind of knew who he was talking about as Matt and Nick informed him of Kenny’s previous relationship at one point. AJ himself never had a problem with it as most people liked to think. He was accepting of everyone and pretty much open to his friend’s lifestyles. The rest of his friends liked to party and he was glad Kenny was one of the sober ones he could hang out with but it didn’t make the rest of them any different to him.
“Wanna game out for a bit?” Kenny asked. He peeled his shirt off and this made AJ look up at the ceiling again, not realizing that his friend took notice to that. Kenny smirked and picked up a controller.
“I’m uhh, I’m actually real tired from the match. You can play if you want though I don’t mind.”
“I’m kinda spent too, actually. Just thought you’d like to take your mind off some things.” Kenny got up to shut the rest of the lights off and made his way to the bathroom. It wasn’t too long before AJ dosed off.
•••
It didn’t seem like AJ was out for very long as he was being nudged repeatedly until he was finally awake. He looked over at the clock and it read 3:30 am, then finally looking back at Kenny (who was sitting on his bed for some odd reason) as he rubbed his eyes. "What the hell, man?”
“Are you alright?” Kenny sounded concerned, but more so with curiosity in his voice.
AJ rolled over to face him, trying to adjust his eyesight in the darkness of the quiet room. “I was until you woke me up. Why the hell-”
“You kept calling me, but then I realized you weren’t awake..”
He was about to question him further on it until he suddenly felt the other man’s lips being planted on his own. AJ didn’t move at all. He wasn’t sure if he was still dreaming or if this was actually happening. At first the kiss was soft, Kenny parting his lips to welcome AJ’s tongue into his own but pulling back as it dawned on him that the older man wasn’t responding at all. Maybe he shouldn’t have made that first move but it was too late to back out of anything he's done now.
Kenny sat up but didn’t hesitate to continue on. “You were also moaning. I thought maybe you wanted to make it a reality,” he chuckled. “I really like you AJ.”
As for AJ he was completely speechless because he now realized this wasn’t a dream at all. “I don’t know what to say. I mean.. are you sure I was? Oh Jesus.. I’m not gay. I mean, no offence to you.. I just-” he was now stumbling with his words. He didn’t know what he was at the moment. But discovering the tent in his boxers that wouldn’t go away was telling him a different story. “…Matt told me earlier and I can’t get it out of my mind.”
“Oh AJ,” Kenny sang. “I wouldn’t lie to you about that. After all, we’re good friends aren’t we? Don’t be afraid of this.” He lowered his head back down again, hovering his mouth over AJ’s again and so far he wasn’t pushing him away. Kenny darted his tongue across AJ’s bottom lip ever so gently and he could swear he heard the older man inwardly sigh at that. “You know how many times I imagined this happening? The things I would like to do, the things you could do to me.. just name it and I’m yours.”
“I’m not gay,” AJ protested. As much as he wanted to just tell Kenny to forget this whole ordeal and go back to bed, his own body was betraying him. And it has been awhile since he felt another person’s touch and it felt good. “I mean, the thought has crossed my mind a few times in my life but.. I’m straight. I think..”
Kenny placed his hands above AJ’s shoulders as he moved over to kneel in between his legs. His rock hard erection slightly dragging across his own and this made AJ outwardly shiver. He leaned down for the third time but this time Kenny began planting light kisses along AJ’s jawline, slowly making his way up to graze his teeth along his earlobe causing his breath to hitch. AJ involuntary lifted his head, allowing his friend more access as he pushed his hips up to feel more friction. “Are you enjoying this as much as I am, baby?” Kenny whispered huskily. AJ nodded and gripped the soft bedsheets below him. “Yes..” was all he could muster out. It boggled his mind as he had never been turned on by a man before, let alone his close friend but he pushed that away as he wanted this to happen.
“Good. Then I will continue on then.”
AJ quietly nodded as he let Kenny take control. He wasn’t sure how to go about fooling around with another man and seeing as Kenny was experienced he trusted him as he was more knowledgeable. He had gotten curious in the past and watch gay porn once but never actually sat and watched the whole thing. His thoughts were briefly cut off as he felt Kenny bite down on the flesh between his neck and his collarbone, grinding his member down on his as he did so.
“FUCK..” AJ groaned. He began slowly thrusting his own hips and spread his legs wider so he could feel more of Kenny. Eventually his eyes closed as he relaxed under Kenny’s touches and a faint moan of pleasure came as he planted another love bite slightly above the previous one he has made. “You’re gonna pay for that,” AJ breathed. The rhythm of their hips now speeding up as moans of pleasure were getting louder in the hotel room.
It took AJ a moment to gather up the courage, but he pushed forward and crashed Kenny’s mouth against his own and he was happy to accept it. It was all a strange but lovely sensation. AJ’s heart was beginning to race and his cock was starting to swell to the point of discomfort. He needed more than just what they were doing.
“Lemme see what that pretty mouth of yours can do,” AJ whispered. This made him smile although AJ couldn’t see it in the dark. “I thought you’d never ask,” Kenny mocked. He reached down and pulled AJ’s boxers down until his member was within Kenny’s grasp. His hand was noticeably bigger than a female’s as it closed around his shaft (and rougher too) but that didn’t stop AJ from letting out a sigh of contentment. At first, fingertips teased along the underside of his hard-on before fully gripping it, but not too hard and not too delicate for his liking. He felt right to AJ and he was glad it was Kenny who he decided to do this with. He kept this up for a number of minutes, gazing down contentedly at AJ as he gazed up contentedly back before Kenny leaned down and took all of AJ’s length into his mouth.
He released his grip and wasted no time slowly lowering his head until AJ felt the tip of his cock reach to the back of Kenny’s throat, making him gasp in surprise. His head began to bob up and down and it made AJ groan with delight as he opened his legs wider for him. He had never been able to do this with any woman for very long before since they always ended up gagging or complaining that their jaw was too sore. “Holy shit, Kenny.. I’m gonna come soon if you keep this up..” AJ warned.
He nodded in acknowledgement without pausing in his movements and then AJ realized that it was Kenny’s every intention to let him come inside his mouth. As he got closer he found Kenny’s fingers began exploring around AJ’s balls and rolled them within his hand, running lightly around his perineum almost as far as his entrance before retreating to stroke his scrotum once again. AJ wasn’t sure about that one. Seeing as how nobody has ever touched him there before and he instantly thought of it as out of bounds. That is, he thought of it as out of bounds until the moment he felt Kenny’s mouth release his cock and use his tip of his tongue deliberately circle AJ’s entrance. He then immediately changed his mind and moaned in encouragement. It felt so strange but damn erotic, with his tongue sliding up and down as Kenny’s hand started to pump his rock hard member.
“I’m getting close,” AJ warned him once more. This time he didn’t even nod or act like he heard him, but instead took his length into his mouth again as he teased his anus with his fingertips. He didn’t understand what Kenny was doing at first, but then soon understood as he then took his wet finger to AJ’s entrance and gently wiggled it inside– using his saliva as lubricant. AJ was not expecting it and found himself gasping in surprise. Truth be told, if the older man hadn’t been on the verge of orgasm he would’ve objected strongly, but somehow it seemed to fit. For a second or two AJ teetered on the edge of coming, being held back by his instinctive opposition to being fingered, but then, as Kenny’s hot, wet mouth plunged down on him and once more that wonderful sensation of hot pressure increasingly built up in his lower abdomen.
“I’m coming!” AJ gasped out, wanting the other man to be ready.
Kenny was ready, in more ways than AJ could have imagined. Because just as AJ groaned at the feeling of his first spurt racing within his cock, Kenny wriggled and pushed a second finger deep inside his rectum and making AJ instinctively thrust up into Kenny’s mouth. God, did it ever feel good. AJ hatred to admit to it but it was true. Each time he shot another spurt of come into Kenny’s awaiting mouth he pushed his fingers harder inside of him and he fucking loved it. Never, ever, had AJ imagined enjoying someone invading him in such a way– but it added so much to his climax that AJ actually felt dizzy from the pleasure of it all.
It wasn’t until after every drop of cum had emptied from AJ that he slumped back into the sheets below him, trembling and panting, that he had even thought to remember it was Kenny doing this. He then felt his finger slide out of him and his mouth release his cock and wondered how well Kenny had dealt with his orgasm. AJ looked down as Kenny sat up on his knees, a smile across his face now visible thanks to the sunrise peeking through a tiny opening through the thick curtains. He licked his lips and noticed that not a drop of cum was spilled and AJ knew he must’ve shot like a pressure jet. It was an understatement that AJ was really impressed.
“So I see you’ve been wanting to do that for a while,” he asked, thinking of his adventurous finger.
“Only in my mind,” Kenny assured. “Although I’ve done it before a thousand times. But with you I thought about how to make it work seeing as how you never explored with the same sex as we are.”
AJ nodded in understanding. He too has thought about it a thousand times but again, never in his mind had considered it. Kenny pulled himself up and stretched out beside AJ as he turned to his side, propping his head up so he could turn to face him. “I was also curious to see if you were a bottom or not,” he mused.
AJ was confused. “A bottom?”
His innocence towards the whole ordeal caused Kenny to laugh. “You know, the male that receives it. A bottom!” AJ’s expression changed from confusion to intrigued. He wasn’t really sure if he could handle it or not, but it did feel really nice– and he DID want to continue further but he didn’t feel comfortable about he, himself topping another man.
“Did you wanna take this further?” He asked. AJ looked down at Kenny and noticed he was hard as a rock. For a moment he didn’t realize what he meant, but he soon took it into consideration seeing as how he’d gotten him off. And his finger did feel amazing and AJ couldn’t take his mind off of it. He simply craved more of Kenny’s experienced touch and wanted him to take control of his own body. Although AJ was the dominant one when it came to sex he felt like he needed to submit to his younger friend. It was more than a need, it was a hunger for it-- It was a strange but welcoming feeling and he felt no desire on pushing it away.
“I want you to fuck me,” AJ demanded. This made Kenny smirk as he wasted no time crawling back on top of him again. “So you are a bottom, like I always suspected.”
AJ scoffed, trying hard to show that he was confident of this on the outside. “Quit trying to be a cocky bastard and show me what you got.”
Kenny rested his forehead against his as he snaked his hand behind AJ’s head, grabbing a fistful of his hair and he pulled on it hard. AJ hissed but never broke eye contact. “I know you like to play tough when you’re nervous, Styles. Don’t tempt me,” he growled.
They both didn’t hesitate. They knew what they both wanted, and Kenny reached over towards his nightstand and grabbed the small bottle of lube from the top drawer. AJ cocked an eyebrow at this. “I see someone was planning this all along.” Kenny chuckled at his comment. “Well, when the guy you have a crush on is having wet dreams about you, a guy kinda has to jump at the chance and be prepared.” Kenny quickly gave his himself a liberal coating of lube, then squirting a bit more onto his fingertips coating the outline of AJ’s entrance and moved into place outside of him. As soon as he did that AJ shakily placed his hands on either side of Kenny’s hips as he opened his legs a bit wider for him. This was it. The point of no return. I guess he could’ve pretended for the mutual wank– or even a mutual blowjob and settled with that, but this was gay sex and AJ couldn’t deny it. But in the turned on mood they were both in, that wasn’t good stop them for just this one time.
Kenny took his cock into one hand, using the other beside AJ’s head to steady himself as he leaned forward until the tip was up against his entrance. For a moment he waited, and asked his partner if he was sure he was ready once again and AJ impatiently nodded his head. “Just let me know whenever you wanna stop,” he reassured. Kenny applied more pressure and wondered if it would be able to fit himself inside of AJ. As for him he kept himself still and relaxed, not saying a word as he guided Kenny’s hips more toward him. His anxiety was clear as day but he wanted to show he was ready for this. Then, almost unexpectedly, the ring of muscle gave way and the head of Kenny’s cock pushed itself in. He pressed a little harder until he was about halfway in, and AJ couldn’t help but hiss in pain as he threw his head forward into Kenny’s chest.
“Just relax, baby,” Kenny reassured. He ran his fingers through AJ’s hair as he planted light kisses on top his forehead, trying to help him relax as he struggled to contain himself. For a while he just held AJ, slowly pushing forward inch by inch until he was almost completely buried inside of him. He kept himself there completely still, savouring the moment as he waited for AJ to be ready. He wanted to fuck him so bad.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” AJ replied. “Keep going.”
And fuck if AJ didn't make the most delicious sounds as Kenny worked his way open. AJ's eyes snapped open and met with Kenny's own matching blue ones, watching his face as he eased into getting used to the burning feeling. He was grateful that Kenny was considerate enough to wait for him. His hands clutched at the bedspread, and Kenny's body shook as he forced himself still, waiting for the signal from AJ to move.
AJ was sure his ass would never be the same after tonight. He was torn between the pain but now growing pleasure of having Kenny fully seated inside of him. Right now, the stinging and burning was winning. His eyes began to water and he hoped that it was dark enough so that Kenny wasn't able to notice it. He knew it would get better and he was willing to get past that part, so he told his best friend to move. "Fuck me, Kenny," AJ pleaded. What seemed like an eternity for Kenny, he complied and pulled out slightly-- thrusting shallowly as he leaned down to plant kisses along AJ's collarbone, feeling the body beneath him finally begin to relax.
"How long exactly?" AJ managed to breathe out.
"A little over 3 months," he replied, increasing the pace a little more.
AJ moaned, his hands moving up to grip Kenny's biceps at the sudden change in pace. He pushed his hips forward to meet up Kenny's thrusts, causing yet another delicious moan from him as the force of impact caused him to see stars.
"Fuck..!" AJ replied hurriedly, when his pleasure fogged his brain he could feel his growing hard on finally come back to life. Kenny took notice of this and twisted his hips, making AJ throw his head back with a louder moan as he dug his fingernails deeply into the muscles of the younger man's arms. "You fucking asshole.." AJ cursed. Untangling his leg from Kenny's hold as he wrapped it around his smooth, tanned waist.
Kenny wasn't sure if it was AJ's cursing that did it, but the conversation died in an instant because he surged forward in and out of AJ at what seemed to be an inhuman speed, neither of them able to contain their noise level. Flesh slapping against flesh filled the small hotel room, Kenny answering AJ's moaned pleas built into a crescendo as they raced towards completion.
When Kenny's hand closed over AJ's aching erection and began pumping roughly, AJ gave up all hope at coherency. After a few passes of that hand and a large dick in his ass constantly stabbing at his prostate, he had his toes curling. He tried to hold on to that feeling but only teetered at the edge of it for a second before he tumbled over, spilling his seed all over Kenny's hand and both their abdomens with a sharp cry. The tightening muscles from AJ's orgasm had Kenny soon follow suit, coming hard inside the other man with a feral groan.
Kenny did his best to support his deadweight onto his forearms, resting his forehead on AJ's shoulder while he tried to catch his breathe. They both came so hard it almost hurt. He realized he was sweating profusely and his chest was heaving like he'd just run a marathon and AJ didn't seem to mind it all one bit. His hands roamed over the taunt muscles of Kenny's back until his breathing evened out as he slowly eased himself out of the man he was finally able to fuck.
AJ sat up slowly, wincing a little at the soreness from his read end. He frowned as he looked down at the bedsheets below him. "We probably shouldn't have done this without a towel or something. Fucking lube and cum everywhere, what the hell are the guys gonna say if they see this tomorrow?" Kenny couldn't help himself and laughed. He was nervous that AJ was gonna have sentimental feelings seeing as how sensual they had both acted at the end of their little session. Kenny himself still wasn't over his ex boyfriend, and AJ was was separated, but none the less still married. "I wouldn't mind doing that again," he broke the awkward silence between them.
"Yeah?" Kenny's face lit up. "And here I thought you'd be regretting it, Mr. I'm A Straight Guy, Leader of the Bullet Club." AJ punched Kenny's arm with a scowl on his face and it made him burst out laughing even more.
"I am straight!" AJ protested as he ran his fingers through his sweat coated locks.
"Uh huh, and I'm still in the closet," Kenny teased sarcastically. "But I agree. You're a fantastic lay."
A loud banging was suddenly heard on the other side of the wall just above their bed stand, and from what they both recognized it was Matt Jackson's voice. "C'mon you guys, it's almost daylight out! Do that shit some other time!" AJ instantly felt his face heat up as Kenny couldn't help but smirk at his embarrassment. He placed a hand on his knee and gave him a reassuring pat. "Don't worry about them, they won't say shit. Trust me."
"They probably won't look at me the same way as before, that's for sure," AJ dreaded.
"You think too much, man. They were actually convinced that we had already been fucking before. Now let's hop into the shower. You can sleep with me on my clean bed."
Okay so that ended up being way longer than I intended to write. XD ..I hope you enjoyed it! There's barely any Kenny x AJ out there and I wanted to add to that fantastic pairing. Feel free to reblog, like, and especially COMMENT! I enjoy both good and bad criticism on my work. Thanks everyone!!

Best Two Out of Three, Part 12
I don’t know if this is too soon but I’m too excited, so. This part is @what-does-mine-say‘s fault. And by fault I mean she basically read my mind so we’re running with it.
So. Much. Angst.
Best Two Out of Three
Part: 12/26
Pairing: Kenny Omega x OFC x Cash Wheeler and Adam Page x OFC
Warnings: Language, angst
Word Count: 3.1k
Catch up on previous parts here.
Five weeks later… AEW Fight for the Fallen
Alex sat on the couch in FTR’s locker room, her eyes glued to the monitor in front of her. Dax and Cash were wrestling the Lucha Bros, and she’d been on the edge of her seat the entire time. It didn’t help matters that Butcher and Blade had driven the Lucha Bros to the ring in Dax and Cash’s stolen truck. Alex had considered sneaking out there to try to steal it back; but Butcher was quite literally twice her size, so she thought better of it.
Suddenly, Dax pulled Fenix by his mask down into an inside cradle.
One.
Two.
Three.
“Yes!” Alex clapped her hands, happy that FTR had won. She pushed herself off the couch to go meet them at Gorilla—but something on the monitor caught her eye and she stopped. Cash and Dax had been jaw-jacking Butcher and Blade at ringside when the Young Bucks had appeared and superkicked Butcher and Blade. Matt took the key to the truck, and he and Nick walked to the ring and returned it to Cash and Dax. It surprised Alex; the Bucks and FTR weren’t exactly friends. But it was nothing compared to the shock she got when she saw Kenny walk to the ring—and he was carrying a cooler full of beer.
Her brow furrowed in confusion as she watched. Kenny offered Cash and Dax each a beer. Then he took one himself. What was he doing? He didn’t drink. She saw him say, “Just this once” as Cash and Dax cracked theirs open. But neither of them took a sip. Instead, FTR raised their beers and emptied them over Kenny’s head.
“What. The. Fuck.” Alex didn’t wait to see what happened next. She tore out the locker room door, making a beeline for Gorilla. She paced back and forth, feeling herself growing angrier by the second as she waited for Cash and Dax to come back through the curtain. Mercifully, it wasn’t long before they did.
“There’s my girl!” Cash proclaimed when he saw Alex. He walked over and wrapped an arm around her waist, drawing her close against him. “Hey, sweetheart,” he said as he started to kiss her neck; but she pulled away.
“Are you serious?”
He froze. “What?”
Her eyebrows arched. “What? You just dumped beer on Kenny’s head, that’s what.” She looked between him and Dax both. “Was that really necessary?”
“Oh, come on,” Dax breathed. “It was just a rib.”
She blinked. “A rib?”
“Yeah! Kenny poured out the beer we offered him two weeks ago, so we poured out the beer he offered us… on him.”
Alex’s eyes bulged at his smirk. Was he being serious? “He was literally about to have a drink with you out there,” she said with a gesture toward the ring. “You do realize that, right? Kenny doesn’t drink.”
Dax rolled his eyes. “You can take care of this,” he said lowly to Cash. It angered Alex even more—but before she could lay into him, Cash stepped in between them.
“Alex, come on. Why are you so upset about this?”
She opened her mouth—but before she could answer, Kenny, Matt, and Nick came back through the curtain. For a brief second, Kenny’s eyes met Alex’s; but he turned and walked away, disappearing backstage without a word.
Matt cut Dax and Cash a look. “Real mature, guys.”
“Oh, and you’re welcome for the keys, by the way,” Nick shot, and with that they followed after Kenny, leaving Alex alone with FTR once more.
Cash looked at her with remorseful eyes. “Sweetheart…” he started, but she cut him off.
“Don’t,” she said, and she turned and walked away. She couldn’t talk to Cash about this now; not after Kenny had looked at her like she’d been the one who’d just dumped beer on his head.
* * * * * * * * * *
The door hit the wall with a loud bang as Kenny burst into the Elite’s locker room, Matt and Nick at his heels. He kicked a chair, sending it skittering across the floor, and when he couldn’t find anything else to hit, he pulled his beer-soaked shirt over his head and threw it hard against the wall. Matt and Nick looked on, unsure what to do or say. It would probably be best to just let him get it out of his system.
“What the fuck was that?” Kenny shouted. “Who the fuck do they think they are?”
Matt opened his mouth to answer—but Kenny cut him off.
“She left me for that? For someone that fucking childish?”
Matt and Nick glanced at each other. So that was why he was so angry. “I don’t think Alex is happy about it either, man,” Nick said.
“Yeah, she looked pretty upset,” Matt agreed.
“Oh, did she? I didn’t notice because of all the fucking beer her boyfriend dumped on me,” Kenny sarcastically bit, just as the door to the locker room opened again. Kenny’s brow lowered when he saw who it was. Adam. “Oh look, it’s FTR’s new best friend! Thanks for the warning, pal.”
Adam bit down on his jaw. “I didn’t know they were gonna do that, Kenny,” he evenly returned. “But I didn’t know you were gonna go out there and try to have a drink with them, either. What did you honestly think was gonna happen?”
Kenny’s eyes widened. “Oh, so it’s my fault I got beer dumped all over me?”
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Adam returned with a frustrated sigh. “But did you really think Dax and Cash would believe that you wanted to have a drink with them? You don’t drink, man. They probably thought you were trying to pull something on them.”
Kenny ran a hand through his hair, momentarily forgetting that it was wet with beer. He angrily shook the liquid off as he pulled his hand away in disgust. “Well, I guess you’re right, Adam. Because honestly, I didn’t want to have a drink with them. I wanted to throw that whole fucking cooler at Cash’s fucking head.”
Adam’s eyebrows arched. He saw the situation with a little more clarity now. “Is this about the beer or is it about Alex?”
Kenny’s eyes darkened at him. “Don’t you fucking talk to me about Alex,” he spat.
For a second, Adam was stunned. But then he got angry. “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”
“You know what it means,” Kenny returned. “You didn’t want her to be with me and it was fucking obvious.”
Adam faltered when he heard that. But this was a long overdue conversation—and if Kenny wanted the truth, then he’d give it to him. “Because I didn’t want her to get hurt again,” he said.
Kenny took a threatening step toward him. “Oh, so you just assumed I would hurt her?”
“Well, it was kind of hard not to, Kenny!” Adam argued. “Do you know how many times Alex came crying to me over you last year? And I don’t mean complaining or whining—I mean full-blown fucking crying. There were times I wanted to deck you in the fucking face for how you treated her.”
“I know!” Kenny burst. “You don’t need to remind me about how fucking shitty I treated her!”
“Then why are you so surprised that I was concerned about it happening again? She’s one of my closest friends, Kenny!”
“Yeah, well I’m in love with her, Adam!”
The room went instantly quiet. Adam, Matt, and Nick all stared at Kenny in open-mouthed shock. “What?” Matt said.
Kenny ran a hand over his face, fully realizing what he’d just said. It had just come out—and he didn’t want to talk about it. “Forget it,” he quickly breathed. “I’m gonna take a shower.” He walked over to his bag, grabbed his things, and retreated into the bathroom before any of them could ask anything else. It wasn’t that he’d shocked himself with what he’d said. He’d known for weeks that he was in love with Alex. Five weeks, to be specific; he’d known it the moment she’d walked out of his hotel room after she’d admitted her feelings for Cash. But this was the first time he’d admitted how he felt out loud—and now that he had, he was worried it was too late.
* * * * * * * * * *
“Thanks for meeting me.” Alex looked down into her beer as she sat across from Callie in a booth at the hotel bar. “I actually really appreciate it.”
“Of course,” Callie returned as she stirred her straw in her cocktail. “I’m not gonna lie, though—I was surprised I was the one you asked.”
Alex laughed wryly to herself. She was a little surprised, too. But, somehow, Adam’s cookout scheme had actually worked. She and Callie weren’t best friends, but they’d grown on each other over the last five weeks. And honestly? It was nice. “Well, I didn’t want to go to Adam because he’s probably sick to death of hearing about my guy problems. And I didn’t want to go to Trent or James because they’re not good with this stuff, and I definitely didn’t want to go to Chuck now that I know he actually was in love with me at one point. And Kris is out injured so… honestly, you were my sixth-string pick of who to talk to.”
She smirked. Callie playfully rolled her eyes. “You’re lucky this drink is good,” she returned.
Alex’s grin grew wider; but it quickly faded. “Speaking of drinks… I can’t fucking believe Cash and Dax did that to Kenny.”
Callie frowned. “Is this your first fight with Cash?”
She just nodded. She and Cash had only been official for three weeks now—it seemed way too soon for them to have their first fight. But he’d poured beer on Kenny’s head. If it had been anyone else, she probably wouldn’t have cared. But Cash knew damn well she’d picked him over Kenny. Because of that, his and Dax’s stunt was a step too far.
“Well, you have every right to be upset,” Callie said. “It was a jerk move to begin with… and Cash knows your history with Kenny.”
“It’s barely history,” she returned.  “I was sleeping with him five weeks ago.” She ran a frustrated hand through her long dark brown hair. “Did you know he was gonna go out there like that?”
Callie immediately shook her head, her blonde waves moving over her shoulders. “Kenny? No. Neither did Adam. I couldn’t believe he was actually going to have a beer with them.”
“Right? It didn’t make any sense.” She took a sip of her own beer then, but suddenly realized she didn’t want it and pushed it away. It had been the wrong drink to order tonight.
“So I guess you haven’t talked to Cash about it yet?” Callie asked as she eyed Alex’s suitcase next to the booth.
She shook her head. “No. I came straight here from the arena; I haven’t even gone up to our room yet.”
“Well, now might be your chance, then,” Callie said with a glance at the entrance to the bar. Alex turned to follow her line of sight. Cash had walked in. Their eyes connected across the room. She turned back around.
“I guess so,” she breathed.
Callie didn’t say anything in return. The next thing Alex knew, Cash was standing next to the booth. He looked down at her. “Hey. Can we talk?”
She hesitantly bit her lip; but she nodded. Callie knew that was her cue. “I’ll give you two some privacy,” she said as she picked up her drink and stood from the booth. Alex expected Cash to take her place, but he nudged his chin at her.
“Scoot over. Please.”
She slid further into the booth as he sat down next to her. Their legs touched underneath the table. He gripped her thigh. “Are you still mad at me?”
“I’m annoyed with you, yeah,” she admitted as she looked at him. It made him frown.
“I know. I’m sorry. But it’s like Dax said—it was just a rib.”
She rolled her eyes. “It might have seemed like just a rib to you, Cash, but to me it seemed like you were rubbing salt in a wound.”
He looked down at the tabletop. “I know,” he admitted. “I see that now. But I’m surprised by how much it upset you.”
She looked down at her hands, picking at her fingernails. “Well,” she breathed, “I get that you and Dax have your eyes set on the tag titles; I want that for you, too. And I know things will be more tense than average between you and Kenny because of everything that’s happened. But I would really appreciate it if you didn’t make it any more tense or awkward than it already is, Cash. I don’t want our relationship starting out with that… bad juju hanging over it.”
He squeezed her thigh. “I don’t either,” he said. “You’re right—it was a step too far tonight. I apologize for that. The last thing I want to do is make things worse on you.”
He looked into her eyes. It was obvious by the earnest look on his face that he meant every word. “Thank you,” she said. “I’m still not happy about it, but… I know it wasn’t intentional.”
He smiled. “Come here.” He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into him. “I don’t ever want to upset you like that, sweetheart.”
A frown tugged at her lips. “This was our first fight.”
“I know. But hey.” He brushed her hair over her shoulder and said into her ear, “Now we get to have makeup sex.”
A pleasant tingle ran up her spine as he kissed her neck. Makeup sex was definitely a silver lining of the situation. “You better bring your A game, then,” she teased.
“Please, you know I always do. You certainly didn’t complain last night. Or this morning.”
Alex bit her lip. They needed to get to the room—now. “Well, you can start by taking my bag to our room.”
He smirked. “Yes, ma’am.” He stood from the booth and offered her his hand as he grabbed her suitcase. Alex took it, interlacing their fingers together. It was less than ideal to start off her relationship with her new boyfriend while he was literally feuding with her “ex.” But, judging by how good her hand felt in Cash’s as he led her up to the room, she was hopeful that they’d get through it.

“That was quick,” Adam said when Callie walked back into their room, obviously surprised she was back so soon. She hadn’t even been gone for ten minutes.
“Yeah well, Cash showed up and asked to talk to her, so I figured I should leave them to it,” Callie explained. She joined him on the bed and snuggled against his side, wrapping her arm around his middle. He hugged her close.
“I’m glad you two are getting along. It seems like you’re even becoming friends?”
She looked up at him. “She called me her sixth-string pick of who to talk to.”
“Ha!” he let out a loud burst of laughter. “Sorry,” he quickly said. “That’s kinda funny.”
Callie smirked despite herself as she rested her head back on his chest. But it faded as her thoughts turned to her conversation with Alex. “I don’t know what I’m more shocked by—that FTR did that to Kenny or that Kenny was honestly going to have a drink with them.”
Adam shook his head. “I don’t know what Kenny was thinking. I don’t think he was, to be honest.”
“Probably not,” Callie agreed. “Matt and Nick told me he was pretty heated afterward. They said he kicked a chair across the room.”
There was a pause. And then Adam asked, “Is that all they told you?”
She looked up at him again. “Yeah… why? Did something else happen?”
He drew in a deep breath, causing her head to rise with his chest. “Oh, something else happened, alright.”
Callie sat up and looked at him then, equal parts concerned and curious. “What?” she asked. She couldn’t have predicted what Adam said next.
“Kenny said he’s in love with Alex.”
Her mouth dropped. “What?” she repeated. “When? How?”
“Right after the thing with FTR happened,” he said. “I went to the locker room because I had a feeling I’d have to diffuse the situation. But then Kenny and I started yelling at each other about Alex… and he just spit it out.”
Callie’s eyes widened. She couldn’t believe it. “Do you think he meant it?”
Adam nodded. “Yeah. I mean, he shut down the conversation after he said it but… he definitely meant it.”
“Wow,” Callie breathed. She was stunned. She knew Kenny cared for Alex—but love? And now, after she’d already chosen Cash? “Well, I guess it’s good that he admitted it, but… Alex seems really happy with Cash. Well, not tonight. But in general.”
Adam let his head fall back against the headboard. “Yeah,” he breathed. “She does.”
Callie’s brow furrowed. He looked upset. “What’s wrong?”
He sighed again. “I just… I’m responsible for Cash and Alex getting together. I literally told Alex that I thought Cash would be better for her than Kenny. And now that I know how Kenny feels... I don’t know. I feel guilty.”
“No,” Callie immediately soothed, shaking her head. “So what if you said that? You were just looking out for your friend, Adam. You shouldn’t feel guilty about that.”
He frowned at her. “I went behind Kenny’s back, Cal.”
She pouted. He really did look guilty—and she wanted to make it better. “Don’t beat yourself up about it,” she said, rubbing her hand over his chest. “Kenny made his bed by hurting Alex the first time, and now he has to lie in it. That’s not your fault. So stop worrying about it…” She trailed off and placed kisses along his jaw leading up to his ear. She nibbled his earlobe.
“Mm,” he hummed. “Are you trying to distract me?”
She smirked. “Is it working?”
He growled deep in his chest as she nipped his ear again. “Go get in the shower,” he ordered.
Callie didn’t need to be told twice. She jumped off the bed and hurried into the bathroom. Adam wasn’t far behind. If there was anything he could use right now, it was a distraction.
