Rain as Payu's Lover

This was requested by @25shadesoffebruary (TYLER I'M SORRY THIS HAS TAKEN SO LONG!)

I am in no way an expert; merely a spectator with thoughts and opinions. Just something to chew on for people with PayuRain headcanons. Just here for your enjoyment, you don't have to agree or disagree.

I've been trying to figure out what type of lover to classify Rain as when really he has the capacity to be any type of lover since he's just being introduced to sex with Payu. He's still in a stage of exploration, and trying new things, and trial and error.

He's definitely starting off as a bratty sub but given that his partner is clearly a Dom it would make sense that he would fall into that role of submission because he knows it's what his P'Payu likes and what P'Payu likes he gets...when Rain says so...

Not to say that Rain doesn't like being a sub, he obviously seems to enjoy being a mouthy yet obedient lover to Payu...but maybe he likes other things too?

Let's talk a bit more about the sub thing; their everyday relationship leans towards a D/s one. Rain constantly talks about being a good and obedient boy and speaks to Payu with the respect that Payu has set as a clear expectation from him. But we've also seen instances where Rain purposefully uses foul language to get a rise out of Payu in the hopes of being taught a lesson in the bedroom.

He seems to enjoy Payu's punishments as much as he enjoys the rewards and the praises. Like that one episode where Rain was texting Payu right before his test and Payu promised him a reward if he passed his exam and then Rain asked him what would happen if he failed and Payu said that he should be prepared for a punishment. The SMILE on Rain's face as this text conversation takes place, he's way into it. He's giddy at the thought of being covered in kisses and drenched in praises or maybe risk the chance of finding out what punishments Payu has cooked up for him...he knows Payu has ways of straightening him out. He's as easy as a coin toss in some moments.

When Rain is feeling like being P'Payu's good boy then I imagine he's extremely submissive; on his best behavior. He speaks to Payu gently and formally and I'm sure he's wallowing in Payu's praises and he loves every second of the pampering. He turns into a pillow princess, perfectly pliable and at his boyfriend's mercy; we see that in their first love scene. I honestly think Rain really, really loves being under Payu, that's why he's always holding onto his neck and pulling him down. I think Rain enjoys how big Payu, he needs those broad shoulders to grip and scratch and keep him anchored.

He'll do and say anything Payu commands with ease if it means Payu will treat him like royalty as a reward. He loves being told, "You're doing so well Rain," and "Look at this cute boy, he's perfect for P'Payu." Especially if it's close to his ears. I'm sure Rain slips in a good, "P'Payu, you're the best for me." Anything to solidify how he was made for Payu and belongs next to him and Rain is a pile of goo in the man's hands every single time.

But what about when he's feeling rebellious and rambunctious and defiant? Sometimes Rain is in the mood to annoy his boyfriend and is more than willing to accept the consequences, eager even. I'm sure he's thrilled to find out how creative Payu gets with his punishments and explore his limits and then pushes them. Does Rainy Boy have a favorite punishment? Being bound? Edging? Spanking? No touching as he's being pleasured until he's babbling? No talking as he's being pleasured until he's crying?

Speaking of talking, Rain seems really talkative too. It's not a reach, the boy is a motor mouth in general. I think he finds that he likes Payu's responses to what he says. He knows exactly what to say to get a reaction from his man. He knows how to push his buttons like a phone operator. "P'Payu you're so deep, I can feel you in my soul." "P'Payu, I'm so full." "P'Payu fuck me" (which is everyone's personal favorite). He's not going to shy away from talking and it's just going to get more vulgar and less playful as they go on until he's not speaking in sentences anymore, just moaning Payu's name over and over...or better yet switching to call him 'Daddy'. Anything to make Payu lose his mind and find it at the same time.

I honestly think that once he gets more and more comfortable with being Payu's lover then he will challenge Payu's dominance more and more. It'll start off with little things like the riding and controlling the pace and holding Payu's hands down. He'll graduate to ordering Payu not to touch him. He'll soon have Payu begging to do things to him.

He could really have Payu on his knees before him if he worked hard enough to take the control. I think if Rain kept that level of respect with the way he speaks to Payu during these times then it could really work in his favor. I think if Rain tried to take control and also spoke improperly it would turn Payu off and Payu would turn everything back around since he's the true Dom in their relationship. But if Rain played his cards right he could very well be the one administering the punishments.

I honestly think that IF Rain truly wanted to, he could get Payu to bottom for him. He could. He really could.

Rain might not fully understand it, but he holds more power and persuasion than he thinks. Like he has some idea, but not enough to really flip the script just yet. The power balance between them really sits on a scale, it could teeter and totter to be in either man's favor. Rain could tip that scale if he truly wanted to put his mind to it.

note! this is the great war part two. since we don’t know what happened to tyler yet after he was captured – i thought a flashback sort’ve thing worked better! still a little unsure though! it was a little different style of writing in the last one so i hope that’s okay!

The aftermath of what happened at Nevermore was indescribable. It seemed to you that people moved on so quickly. There were smiles and exchanges between others like this time away was simply vacationing between semesters. Nobody seemed to be as stuck in grief as you were.

You had let your feelings get so involved that you just couldn’t get over the way everything had played out. How invested you were.

It was hard to comprehend that nothing had been real.

You thought back to every memory he was attached to you in your brain , wondering if you had overlooked the signs. You tried to think back , doubting that every moment you took as love— was just him manipulating you , lying to you.

You couldn’t believe that your Tyler , wasn’t ever actually yours.

Tyler sat across from you in the booth , a smile on his face as you ranted about the day.

“It’s just so frustrating because Bianca knows how bad I am at fencing so I don’t know why she thought putting me up against Xavier would mean I would win! I swear she wanted to embarrass me.” You ranted , rolling your eyes.

It wasn’t anything serious and you knew you were being over dramatic. But Tyler had just looked at you so comfortingly. He was so fond of you , thinking to himself at how adorable you were when you were all worked up. It didn’t find it annoying that you just ranted on and on. He loved to listen.

“I don’t think you should be embarrassed.” Tyler reached out to touch your face lightly , brushing at the apple’s of your cheeks. It was only for a split second , but it had felt so sweet to you– that your face warmed up at the thought of it.

“You’re being ridiculous.” Wednesday scolded you as she walked into your dorm to say goodbye. “You should be happy this is all solved. Tyler can choke on his own tongue and die for all we care.”

You sat up on your bed and huffed at Wednesdays cold demeanor. You knew that it affected her too , whether she’d like to admit it or not.

“Don’t you think it’s kinda wrong!” You told her , crossing your arms. “That he played us and basically betrayed our trust?” You felt as you were pointing out the obvious.

Wednesday barely spared you a glance. “I should’ve known.” She responded plainly. “That’s on me.”

“No.” Standing up , you faced her. “We have every right to not feel like it’s our fault. He lied and we believed it because we thought he was good.”

“Nobody’s off limits.” Wednesday answered. “We should have remembered everybody’s a suspect.”

You couldn’t know for sure if you thought what Wednesday said was right. Because if everybody’s a suspect then that means nobody can be trusted , and that just wasn’t fair.

You should have had somebody to be as good to them as they were to you. You shouldn’t have had to assume he was doing the worst to you.

It just didn’t feel fair.

You were so nervous the night of the dance. It had taken you days to find the prettiest dress. You spent hours doing your hair and makeup , bouncing off the walls with excitement.

Tyler was going with you and it was the first real ‘couple-y’ thing you two were doing together , and you wanted everything to be perfect.

The butterflies in your stomach were fluttering quickly when he knocked on your door.

You ripped the door open , excited to see him. He stood there with his best tux , the softness of his face flattered how his hair was messily off to the side , gelled only a bit.

He had just looked so cute.

“You look. . .” Tyled grinned as he looked at you , shaking his head almost speechless. “So beautiful.”

The sincerity of his voice nearly brought you to tears , and so did the small glint in his eye.

“You look so handsome!” You gushed to him shamefully , cheesing as you reached up and cupped his face quickly to swipe the apple of his cheeks affectionately.

Tyler burned bright red as he reached out to you to hold your hand and guide you out. “Oh keep it in your pants.” He humored , kissing the side of your head as he closed the door behind you , walking you away.

The semester would finally be over. Your parents were on their way , seemingly clueless about the things transpiring at school. Your things were all packed , and you’d be gone for some time , grieving the things that you lost.

You weren’t ready for it to be over already , but you didn’t have any other choice to make.

You missed Tyler , and you were hurt. He had betrayed you , and somewhere during that , he made you fall in love with someone who didn’t seem to exist.

You had so many questions that were going to be left unanswered , and so many feelings left unsaid.

It felt as though the war you were fighting had just ended , but a new one was already starting to begin.

Ash: ... ... ...well. you know. she thought he was a creep- which, to be fair, is a little bit true. Annoying, pushy, borderline stalkerish...she also thought his contacts were weird.

Aiden: He thought she seemed really interesting :) he was very excited to talk to her and he thought that her sitting in front of them was a sign she wanted to start a conversation. Thought her hair was pretty.

3. Did any of their friends and family want to get them together?

Taylor thinks they are super cute together! So does Logan, one time he offered to check their star sign compatibility ^_^ Ben is totally supportive of whatever Aiden wants to do, will be his "wingman" if he asks. Tyler thinks they should just suck it up and get together already. Her parents...ehh...they trust her to make good decisions, even if they think Aiden is "eccentric" (they're still on good terms with him tho!), Jessica and Daniel are just happy he found somebody.

Hahaha hahaha. Yes! Of course- Aiden didn't think Ash would ever like him like that so he kinda just buried his feelings since he DEEPLY values his friendship with her. Ash is not really good at distinguishing her feelings between romantic and platonic so it took her a long time to realize. At the beginning she was kinda freaked out about it, but she accepted it pretty quickly.

6. If you had told one of them that the other would be their soul mate, what would they think?

Depends when, but I assume this means when they just met.

Ash: "what kind of sick joke is that?"

Aiden: I don't think the idea would bother him or anything. Would probably get a good laugh out of it though.

No phantom dimension at least, but Ashlyn would probably be coasting through life alone struggling to make connections, and Aiden would probably keep spiralling if he didn't make any real friends. I think he'd be a lot more unhappy than her.

Ashlyn. She told him kind of bluntly that she had feelings for him and that she wanted to get that off her chest (Taylor gave her the advice). Aiden was ecstatica to say the least.

Not really...they'd already hung out together alone so they just went out again and did what they usually did. They just like to go somewhere quiet like the graveyard and spend time together, Ash's love language is quality time <3

Aiden. She got kinda awkward and couldn't say it back, but he didn't take it personally because she hugged him afterwards.

Ash is quality time as mentioned above. She doesn't need grand gestures, or gifts, or him reassuring her constantly, she just wants to...be around him.

Aiden is definitely touch. It's easy, it makes him feel good, and he feels like it expresses what he wants to say better than words. But he really likes it when Ash reassures him with words of affirmation anyways.

3. Who uses cheesy pick-up lines?

Do you even have to ask? Aiden pretty much greets her with one every day and Ash still hasn't understood a single one. There's also like, a 25% chance he will forget the pick up line half way through delivering it so he'll just bungle the whoel thing up.

Aiden kinda hovers around her in public so PDA is a given. She's got a pretty strict "no pda at school" rule tho. She's okay with him putting his arm around her or putting their heads together, but no kissing. Cuddling at home? That's fine, she likes napping with him.

Ash isn't super picky, she generally prefers something they can do at home. She really likes watching documentaries about her special interests while they lie on the couch together.

Aiden likes doing puzzles with her, they get to talk together while doing one of his favourites activities :) he likes to go out too, but he doesn't want Ash to get overstimulated, so they'll usually go out to some deserted place at night.

They both suck at it lmao 💀 but Aiden calms down a lot faster than Ash does, so technically Ash is better.

9. Who's more protective?

They both are extremely protective. And like in a feral way ngl. They WILL choose violence lol.

10. Do they prefer verbal or physical affection?

Ash likes physical affection because she doesn't really know how to respond to verbal affection. Aiden is fine with either, a cuddle or a compliment is good for him :) Slight preference towards physical touch tho, and verbal is like a little treat for him since Ash almost never does it.

11. What are some songs that apply to their relationship?

I let you go to Red's playlist for that :D (But I recommend "High on Life", good song that explains Aiden's view on Ash)

12. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

Ash doesn't use nicknames a lot, she just calls him Aiden, or something like "stupid, idiot, dumbass, imbecile" when he's annoyed her. Mr. Durable is the closest thing to a pet name she will give him lol.

Aiden will call Ash every single freaking thing you can imagine. Baby, babe, Bae, my love if he's feeling dramatic, Red because he's obvious like that, "wifey" is he's feeling fearless lmao. And then there's the *weird* petnames; "my sweet ketchup packet", "my favourite little rubix cube", "my beautiful princess with a disorder". All of these make Ash want to rip her hair out.

13. Who remembers the little things?

Neither of them do in on purpose 🤡 Aiden will just hyperfixate on stuff Ash tells him and remember it for special occasions. Ash is more about the every day little things, reminds him to drink water, sends him food in case he forgot it, asks how he's sleeping.

DOMESTIC LIFE

1. If they get married, who proposes?

Aiden had a whole thing planned before Ash asked him for the tax benefits.

2. What's the wedding like? Who attends?

They prolly got married at city hall because they're not religious and also a big wedding in front of a lot of people stresses Ash out. The squad came and both sets of parents 👍🏽 They prolly had a small party afterwards to celebrate.

3. How many kids do they have, if any? What are they like?

Probably just one...I think they'd either talk about it for a loooooong time or have one on accident haha

4. Do they have any pets?

A big rescue dog, breed undeterminable. :)

5. Who's the stricter parent?

Ash absolutely, somebody has gotta keep everybody in line! Not afraid to go into "Sargent mode" if necessary >:)

6. Who worries the most?

Aiden, but like in a private way where he can't even sleep. The BPD hits and he sees the world as very dangerous. Ash is better at rationalising her worries.

7. Who kills the bugs in the house?

Aiden, bugs don't really bother him, so he probably catches them if he's bored and finds one. Ash isn't afraid of bugs either, but she dislikes spiders. Too many legs :p

8. How do they celebrate holidays?

They'll usually meet up with the rest of the squad and their families! If they can't, Ash likes to keep it lowkey ^_^ Aiden WILL go all out for Halloween tho. And Christmas. And New Year's, and...yeah, they both have different ideas lol.

9. Who's more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?

Aiden pretty much sleeps for like 4 hours every night and gets up at like 5 in the morning just to do crap, so if they don't need to do anything, Ash will call him back to cuddle for a bit. Helps him sleep <3

10. Who's the better cook?

Ash, her parents taught her the basics. She's not a master chef or anything, but she won't set the kitchen on fire like Aiden.

11. Who likes to dance?

Ash is way more passionate about dance (specifically ballet) than Aiden is, but they both like dancing. Sometimes they slow dance at home if they're feeling romantic :)

Rose Tyler

shes the og, shes That Girl, she is the moment! (lol, get it?) Rose was one of the best companions fr. her love story with the doctor is so beautiful and so tragic and honestly, he Needed her. ninerose >>> tenrose i said what i said. 9/10

Jack Harkness

very fun character! they kinda ruined him in torchwood a little bit. some of the earliest explicit queer rep in mainstream media i ever saw, if not the first! i loved his dynamic with rose and nine. 8/10

Mickey Smith

my sweet boy, my babygirl. he deserved so much better fr. dont get me wrong, i love Rose, but the way she treated Mickey was so mean. also the doctor hated his ass for no reason other than he was competition for Rose's affection. plastic Mickey was iconic. 8/10

Martha Jones

ICON!!! QUEEN!!!! i Love Martha soooo much. she was the only companion to Get Out and i love that for her, she deserved it. she slayed fr. however i do kinda hate that most of her character was simping for ten like. girl. stand up. 9/10

Donna Noble

Oh My God, incredible. cant wait to get her back!!!! the adipose scene through the windows???? hilarious, i can quote every word!!! she gave the doctor a run for his money and i love that for her. she was exactly what he needed after Rose and Martha, just A Mate. 10/10

Amy Pond

my favourite companion!!! eleven was My Doctor tho so thats probably why. every episode of season 5 is a banger. i love that she and Rory and River became a family to the doctor. love her. little Amelia is so cute and grown up Amy is a total badass. fish custard/10 10/10

I'll give a bit more insight into their story in the Harry Potter AU.

Lizzie had spent the first few years of Hogwarts falling more and more in love with Alex, but by the end of her fourth year she had grown tired of the heartache and jealousy she constantly kept suffering from with every single person Alex chose to kiss and date right where she could see them. Sick up and fed with her crush never seeing her in the way she wanted him to, she decided enough was enough and that she had to get over him.

Once she was back home for the summer holidays she bumped into a muggle boy, Tyler, who lived in her neighbourhood and who she had always found cute. They had hung out on a few occasions previously and when she had last been home for the holidays she got the sense he might have been trying to flirt with her, though she hadn't paid it that much attention as she was still pinning all of her hopes on Alexander Bridgerton maybe one day liking her back. Just before they parted ways, Tyler surprised her by asking her if she wanted to go on a date with him, and Lizzie happily agreed. Right from the first date Tyler made her feel good about herself as she got to experience for the first time what it felt like to be around someone who really liked her and wanted her romantically. Their first date ended with a kiss and from that day on they spent the duration of the holidays with one another, wanting to savour their time together for as long as they could before Lizzie had to return to her boarding school in September.

Meanwhile at My Cottage, Alex noticed the absence of his younger brother's best friend seeing as Lizzie had spent previous summers visiting their home whenever she pleased. He didn't say anything at first, thinking perhaps she had gone away with her family for awhile or even wondering whether she and William had fallen out. It wasn't until over halfway through the summer holidays that Lizzie's name got mentioned as the family were having dinner.

"How was Eliza today?" Sophie asked William and immediately Alex whipped his head up from his plate at the mention of her name.

"Yeah she's well." William answered with a mouth full of lasagne.

"I didn't know you guys met up." Alex remarked (had William mentioned it to him prior he would have tagged along just to see her face again since this summer had been the longest time he had gone without seeing her since she had started at Hogwarts).

"Yeah she finally had some time for me what with Tyler visiting his grandparents."

"Who's Tyler?" Violet puzzled.

"Her boyfriend."

Alex had picked the exact wrong moment to take a sip of his drink as he ended up choking on it in reaction to the mention of Lizzie having a boyfriend. He just about managed to cough up the remainder of his drink back into his glass as Charlie unhelpfully whacked him on the back a couple of times.

"A boyfriend!" Violet gasped with awed interest. "I didn't know she had a boyfriend! What house is he in?"

"Oh he's not at school with us. He's a muggle."

"A muggle?!" Alex spluttered after putting down his glass. "She's dating a muggle?! Why in Merlin's name would she date a muggle?!"

In response to his incredulity the table fell quiet as all his family turned to him with surprised expressions and a couple pairs of narrowed eyes.

"Huh. I never had you down for being an anti-muggle, brother." Charlie said.

"And might I remind you you're one quarter muggle." his dad added with a warning intoned in his voice.

"No, that's not... that's not what I meant." Alex shook his head, looking desperately from first his father to his eldest brother and lastly to his mother, hoping she understood that he didn't mean to insinuate anything negative about muggles.

Fortunately for Alex, his mother took compassion on him and gave his arm a reassuring rub. "Are you just surprised she's dating a muggle because you're not personally familiar with anyone else dating outside of the wizarding world?" she kindly suggested.

"Yeah." he swallowed. "Yeah that's it, I swear. " he insisted to the rest of the table, who all decided to give him the benefit of the doubt before continuing with their meal.

As surprising as it was to hear Lizzie was dating a muggle, the thought of her dating at all rattled Alex badly to the point he kept tossing and turning in bed at night as his mind kept projecting the image of Lizzie kissing a faceless entity. He tried badgering William for more information about Tyler, but his brother had never met the guy so there wasn't much he could say about him other than the glowing review Lizzie had given him when they had met up the other day. The best he could gather about Tyler was that he lived in Lizzie's neighbourhood, they had been somewhat friendly prior to dating, he was a year older than her, and he made her giggly and girly (much to William's immature disgust). Though he should have been happy for her or even disinterested like William was, Alex couldn't help but be bothered that Lizzie had a boyfriend. She had never dated at Hogwarts and to Alex's knowledge she had never so much as had a crush on anyone so the sudden turnabout of her having a boyfriend had stunned him completely.

It wasn't that Alex thought it strange for Lizzie to have a boyfriend; on the contrary it made perfect sense for a girl like her to have garnered romantic interest. She was sweet and considerate, modest and humble, artistically talented and passionate, hard-working and helpful, sincere and down to earth, incredibly pretty with perfectly kissable lips-

And suddenly Alex jolted in his seat as he reflected on what had just crossed his mind, as well as taking further note on how emphatically his heart was now beating from focusing all of his thoughts on Lizzie. It instantly became obvious to him why Lizzie dating someone else was vexing him so much; he liked her. He liked her more than he had previously ever thought and the reason he was annoyed by someone else dating her was because he had come to the crystalising realisation that he wanted to be the person dating her. He could have kicked himself for only just figuring out just how much he liked her now that someone else had beaten him to dating her, and he let out a pained groan and buried his head in his hands as he realised that so long as she was happily dating Tyler he'd never stand a chance of getting to be with her.

Martha finally gets to meet Rose Tyler. It's almost like Rose is more excited to meet her.

Here she is: Rose Tyler. The legend. The myth. The… woman.

She sits down beside Martha on the edge of the central platform, their legs dangling and swinging slightly as the TARDIS tugs Earth home. Her hair is a mess she’s trying to comb back into sense with her fingers, and when she smiles, her teeth poke out, and she threw herself across the void to find the Doctor again. She succeeded.

Martha knows exactly why he loves her.

“Martha,” Rose says, “Martha Jones?” Like she’s making sure she has it right. Martha nods. Rose’s smile brightens. “You were fantastic.”

Not that Martha needs to be told.

But it’s still something, to hear it from her.

“And you,” she replies. It feels lackluster, but Rose ducks her head. 

“Well,” she says, “did my best, anyway.” She peers back up at Martha. “You’ve traveled with him. You’ve got a… look. Like you’ve seen the worst things the universe has to offer standing right beside the most wonderful ones. He does that. To us, I mean.” Martha wants to ask. She wants, desperately, to know what those things were for Rose. It was one thing to pull herself free of the Doctor’s orbit. Rose is something else entirely; Rose is what his universe revolves around. 

And before she can, Rose tips her head, worries at her bottom lip, and asks in a hushed tone, “What was it like when you-” Martha leans forward, her questions replaced with a dozen different stories all fighting to be told first, all scary and beautiful and exhilarating. 

“Are you gossiping about me?” the Doctor- one of the Doctors calls. Martha doesn’t turn around quick enough to see which, and they’re both looking at her and Rose. Rose shifts beside her, drawing her leg up to fold on the platform. Her knee brushes Martha’s thigh and then rests there, warm and more tangible than any lost dream.

“Stop eavesdropping!” she calls back with ease, and the Doctors huff and harrumph in near perfect unison. One of them casts another glance towards her before focusing on the TARDIS again. Rose shakes her head. Part of Martha expects her to get up and go back to them, but Rose looks back at her. “Do you want to get some privacy?” Martha’s mouth feels drier than it should. Is that a side effect of not being used to traveling the TARDIS? She can’t really remember.

“Yeah,” she says. Rose reaches for her hand, and Martha, like a piece falling into place, lets herself be pulled up to her feet. 

“Where are we going?” she asks. She should have the moment they stood up, but she’d been caught on Rose’s hand wrapped around hers. No one had noticed them wandering off. (Except maybe Jack, though he didn’t call attention to them, only raised his eyebrows and grinned.) Rose hesitated in the TARDIS’s hallway. The engine thrummed peacefully, and the light around them seemed to grow and dim like breathing. 

“I-” Rose laughs, but it’s not a happy sound. “I was going to take you to my room, but it wouldn’t be here anymore, would it? I haven’t been-” The TARDIS, in its way, ripples and bends until there’s a door that wasn’t there. It even opens slightly with the next wave of light as though beckoning them in. “That can’t be...” Rose says. Martha knows that it is. 

“Might as well look,” she says. She squeezes Rose’s hand, and Rose glances down to where their fingers are still tangled together, as though she was so comfortable that she’d forgotten. She doesn’t let go.

Rose’s room is a mess.

“Oh my god,” she says. Her cheeks flame bright pink as Martha stares at her bra on the floor and then very quickly looks anywhere else. “I’m sorry. I’ve been in another dimension. I haven’t really had the chance to clean- Hey!” Rose cuts herself off to pick up a skirt off her bed. She turns it over a few times like she’s inspecting it for damage. It’s perfectly fine. Martha swipes her hand over the (cleared) part of a dresser and doesn’t even come up with dust. It’s like a time capsule. “Sorry,” Rose says, “I got this a few hundred years in the future, and they haven’t been created yet for me to replace it.”

“It’s cute,” Martha says. Rose holds it at her waist to show off. It’s a friendly yellow. 

“That’s not even the best part,” she says. She slides her hand against one of the pleats and then into it. “These are all pockets. Folded up space or something.”

“Really?” Rose grins.

“Yeah. Come see.” Martha’s too curious to stop herself, and it only occurs to her when her hand is already inside that she’s sticking it down Rose’s skirt. Rose’s hand bumps hers inside, and Martha’s face gets hot.

“That’s. Um.” She pulls her hand back while Rose puts the skirt down. “That’s amazing.”

“Until you need to find which one you put something in,” Rose says. “I lost the sonic screwdriver in here once. Life or death situation, and I’ve got Jack and the Doctor both rummaging around in there.” A laugh escapes Martha. “No, that’s not the worst part. Jack says, ‘I’ve found it!’, so sure of himself. He pulls out-” Rose has to bite her lip to finish. “He pulls out a tampon.” Martha loses it, and Rose struggles to keep speaking around her own laughter. “Points it-  Points it right at the bomb- There was a bomb, Martha, and he pointed a tampon at it!” Martha puts her hand out to lean on something and keep her balance. It lands on Rose’s arm. “The Doctor found the screwdriver in time, but that could have been the last thing I ever saw!” Rose’s head falls forward and bumps Martha’s. They both catch their breath between giggles.

“I can’t imagine why the Doctor never told me that story,” Martha says. She wipes at her eyes. God, those tears feel good after the chaos of today. 

“Did he tell you a lot about me?” Rose asks, as if it’s even a question that needs to be asked. Martha schools her expression carefully. 

“Yes,” she says. Rose frowns at her. She looks around at her perfectly preserved room and licks her lips.

“He ever talk about anything but me?” She sounds genuinely apologetic, as if it’s her fault. 

“Once or twice,” Martha says. Rose sighs shortly.

“I’ll smack him for you, if you like. Both of him,” Rose offers. Martha huffs out another laugh. “I’m serious,” Rose says, but she can’t keep a serious expression to back that up. “I will. I could get my mum to do it, too. She’s been waiting.”

“I don’t need you to,” Martha says. She pauses. “I kind of want to see that, though.”

“It’s good for him. He likes it.” Rose flushes suddenly. “He- I meant, it keeps him humble.” Martha opens her mouth, considers whether she really wants an answer to what she’s dying to ask, and shuts it again. 

“He did lose you,” Martha says. “I try to keep that in mind, so I feel a little more charitable.”

“Yeah, but he had you,” Rose says. “What’s he doing not shutting up about me when you’re here? You’re incredible. You just tried to hold the Earth hostage to get rid of the Daleks.”

“It didn’t work,” Martha points out, but her face is getting hot again. 

“You still went for it, though,” Rose says. “You’re bold, and you’re smart, and you’re gorgeous-” Rose’s mouth snaps shut around whatever she was going to say next. She looks like she’s trying to keep a frog trapped in her mouth until she finally manages to speak again. “This is Jack’s fault. I stand around him too long, and I start saying… anything, apparently.”

“I don’t mind,” Martha says. Rose’s mouth quirks.

“Course you don’t. You’re the one getting compliments.” 

“So those are the only ones I get?” It’s a bad idea to let Rose draw her in, but orbiting the Doctor had always been such a lonely thing to do. Rose is like the sun. Martha feels warm beneath her gaze. All of Rose’s attention is on her, and it feels amazing.

“I think I could come up with a few more.” That, Martha’s sure, is a line she’s stolen from Jack, if only because the way she says it sounds like him. 

It’s an even worse idea to let Rose kiss her, but when Rose reaches for her hand again and looks down at her mouth, Martha can’t do anything else. Rose’s other hand rises to her cheek when she kisses Martha. Martha’s sure Rose can feel the way she’s flushed beneath her palm. Martha’s hands hover at Rose’s waist, and Rose leans forward into the kiss until Martha holds onto her to keep them both steady. Rose’s shirt rides up, and Martha’s fingers find themselves against bare skin. 

Rose giggles against Martha's mouth. She’s ticklish, Martha thinks, Rose Tyler is ticklish. There’s something the Doctor never thought to mention.

Kissing the Doctor, once, had been like a run-in with a tornado, something she was lucky to survive and had chased the thrill of until she realized it might just kill her.

Kissing Rose is like… like the first night Martha was on the TARDIS and the gentle hum of it lulled her to sleep. Kissing Rose is like when she woke up the next morning with an extra pillow under her arm for her to hold and a heavier blanket over her feet like she’d always liked to sleep when she was at home. Kissing Rose is like she’s being invited to stay. 

Rose pulls back first. She looks a little nervous. “Alright?” she asks.

Martha wiggles her fingers at Rose’s side again to hear her small laugh again. 

“Amazing,” she says.

HELLO, IVE JUST FINISHED WATCHING WEDNESDAY

because i am the biggest dumbest nerd when it comes to the addams family: ive made a crappy list of why wednesday is everything i hoped for and more and why it is absolutely fucking perfect. spoilers.

im not entirely sure on how to start slow with this one so im getting right fucking into it. enjoy reading the disaster of my thoughts on this masterpiece:

AMAZING CASTING. jenna is incredible as wednesday, catherine and luiz are the perfect morticia and gomez, i adored seeing christina ricci KICKING ASS. gwendoline christie was amazing as weems, fred armisen as fester???? lost my shit he was so perfect. i don’t think there was a single cast member i wasn’t amazed with.

THE WEDNESDAY/PUGSLEY DYNAMIC WAS SO ON POINT they literally have the actual best sibling dynamic

i now know that you have not lived until you’ve seen wednesday addams stuck in a love triangle. she is not a character that you would expect to have a romantic interest but now in my mind she’s just beautifully a-spec and probably demiromantic. yes obviously i love xavier.

don’t get mad at me but i don’t ship her w enid that much?? at least not romantically but hey i would not complain if we had a polycule or qpr!!!

also it was genuinely so cute to see wednesday making friends like. why was i sobbing so much when she hugged enid. holy fuck.

THE DANCE SCENE. SHES AN ICON SHES A LEGEND AND SHE IS THE MOMENT

i am referring to both her actual dancing and ofc “they couldn’t even spring for real pigs blood. its only paint.” so real.

cant even stop myself from mentioning that jenna ortega looks very hot covered in blood which happens a lot in this series. like almost every episode. jesus fucking christ i am so in love with her.

i am a huge edgar allen poe nerd so i fucking adored every little reference to his works. also the idea that he was an outcast is so real to me.

speaking of outcasts: ngl definitely could’ve come up with a better name, “outcasts” just made it sound weirdly like some awkward teen high school drama but you get used to it

wednesday’s visions were so cool??? i loved the whole goody addams thing their interactions were really cool and god i just was not expecting that at all.

ok tbh it was really weird that her name was goody, since “goody” is the puritan equivalent of “mrs.” (its short for goodwife) so idk why they did that but ok i’m still here for it

honestly in general they do a really good job of keeping you guessing. i was suspicious about almost every single character throughout the whole series. 

in retrospect i should’ve known tyler was gonna be an asshole from the start cause. i mean. his name is tyler. no offense to my tylers, but be real when have you ever seen a tv show character named tyler that wasn’t a douche. i’ll wait.

i’ve typed tyler too many times and it no longer looks like a real name

episodes are nice and long but i obviously wish the series was longer, but it was super bingable and i’m probably gonna rewatch it 3 million times until the next season inevitably comes out.

not to be dorky but i loved how every episode title was a pun w the word “woe” 

i have really horrible media literacy in the sense that i overthink EVERYTHING so to me like almost everything in that was beautifully executed symbolism and maybe it was but when i say i lost my shit when i noticed wednesday stand on enid’s side of the room and fsr thats the only example i can think of rn BUT STILL

overall 5 stars 10/10 show i cant wait for more i love the plot i love the characters i love the cast i will be recommending it to everyone ik and more

Idk if you’ve been asked this, If you have an answer or even take asks, but I’ve looked at some of ur acc and live for the little fight club scenarios you come up with and was wondering if you had any favourite headcanons or moments you’ve thought up?

Omg yes I love getting asks :D and thank u for saying u like them! I feel kinda annoying/cringe for posting every little thought I randomly come up with for them but EH it’s fun :,) but anyways.. lately I’ve been thinking of these ideas that I haven’t shared yet:

•Tyler is the kinda person to be super affectionate while sleepy or still waking up. The mornings where he doesn’t wake up first and he finds the narrator cooking breakfast, he wraps his arms around him while still groggy and kisses his cheek & back of his neck. That or he has his arms around him but he is like, 2 seconds away from falling back asleep again while standing up & resting his head on the narrators shoulder.

•While Tyler does sometimes show that hes ‘weak’ (see above) he doesn’t want to come off like that super often especially if they haven’t been together for supppeeer long.

So, when he gets sick he will deny it to hell and back that he feels bad or that he should rest. The narrator will put his hand on Tyler’s forehead and feel he’s burning up but Tyler will just not let up & he will still want to go to work or do his usual daily things. He either has to be dragged to bed by the narrator or just realize he psychically can’t go on anymore for the rest of the day.

He loves the narrator taking care of him when he’s sick though. If he has any extra energy/sass in him, he will ask the narrator when he’s gonna go put on a sexy nurse outfit since he is taking care of him. 💀

•Tyler gets random bursts of energy sometimes bc something good happened with project mayhem or just any plan that he thought up and was successful in finishing. When he gets them he will do stuff like roughly pull the narrator towards him and kiss him all over the face & drag him out to celebrate. Or he just is basically tugging him either which way while going on about whatever he’s happy about. He might even pick the narrator up off the floor to swing him around. The narrators heart like MELTS when he’s like this because he loves seeing Tyler happy.

• They have enough pictures of each other & them together to hypothetically fill a photo album book. Tyler loves photography and he loves the narrator so he takes so many of him. The ones he takes of the narrator are kinda random tho like the narrator will just have a face like •_• and Tyler takes a picture anyways. Even mutters ‘cute’ when he looks back at it. He also likes taking NASTY pictures of him and embarrassing ones like ones where he’s drunk off his ass & is doing something crazy that he normally wouldn’t.

When the narrator is taking pictures of Tyler, it’s mostly around times where he’s just so enamored by Tylers beauty. Like if Tyler is smiling, posing without meaning to pose or just looking relaxed, the narrator will snap a pic if the camera is near by.

If it’s pictures of them together, it was most likely taken by Marla. She thinks they are both extremely dorky together and needs to show them how gross it is that they are always making heart eyes at each other.

Tyler keeps his favorite pictures of him & the narrator together with him at all times!!

vol vi thoughts bc fusebox keeps bringing me back

although we're in casa so ya know.... story is bound to get bad soon after casa

first of all, Hari. im so disappointed with his sprite because I'd so go for him for looks alone otherwise (his hair is nice and hes indian and hes got the rohan sort of physique albeit more muscle-y). but somethings up with his face and his eyes are a little red and his torso is doing the thing Vicki does, so he just feels like a leftover from S7 (and what a shame bc Tyler is drawn so well but barely gets time to impress us in the villa!)

OK anyway personality wise though hes giving nothing. Bombshells gotta cause more chaos and I think he'd be a fine and dandy OG in the real show but he's just kinda here. I mean idk maybe I tapped through his dialogue too quickly but in my head rn he's similar level to Elliot. Elliot I can at least make gamer jokes about and the girls had more to say about him than just: he's hot, and MC should go for him. that being said what I'm about to reveal i did in a few bullet points will not make sense.

The note was obviously gonna be from Jin (your LI), so them dragging it out was a little annoying. And I have personal opinion on what types of things should be gem choices and part of that is having a good enough excuse not to go through with it and I think not reading the note for no reason is not good enough. Anyway I did choose to read the note and it's sweet and references Jin's whole "funny guy but now I'm serious about you" shtick and I just wish they write that a little differently but it's still cute.

Then we get Bea's messages and it's odd bc I can't think of a reason or another season on the show that they dragged out the bombshells arrival like this. Like first of all, they might as well have given a message to Theo as well instead of just Oakley and Hari. But even more than that, why put the messages at all? just to have a cliffhanger at the end of the episode? I think just straight up during the sports day challenge, have someone read a text that a new couple is joining, and then bam it's Jin and Bea. maybe one text from her but the multiple was bugging me.

I also don't know why I got it in my head that Bea was gonna flirt with Theo/Claudia depending on who you flirted with, plus also your current LI but like that would've been a nice addition since I think Theo and Claudia should be done for but they don't make it clear???

Oakley messing with Emel about the drink was funny ngl, but I do miss the routes not merging because it just doesn't make sense to me having Oakley do that. Jack or Jin, maybe, but Oakley is the silent, serious type. Like in my head, he's more like Noah.

There is very briefly a few friendship moments between MC and Theo this volume and in my head they are besties and I wish that was canon/more explicit because I'm not going after him anyway. That way you get the friends who get closer and become lovers storyline from either Theo or Claudia and the other you still get to be friends with.

I'm surprised Claudia and Theo aren't just fully broken up because Claudia is asking for advice and I'm like, did yall not already get that sorted?? it's been so long. One of them should just go for the bombshells.

A chat with Claudia! finally! (albeit a gem scene) I thought we'd get to know more about her but it's mostly just a game of word association which is odd. I will say admitting that MC associates love with Jin made me laugh bc I'm cruel

The girls then say that MC needs to graft on Hari because they're both single and I get the support, but also MC is still getting over Jin lol.

Remember how I said the way I'm gonna play this doesn't make sense? Okay so I decided I needed to create my own mess, just to see if fusebox is gonna let my MC have consequences for her actions. So this is for science, in a way... Okay. So I may have let my MC flirt with Hari. And then maybe she got a sexy massage from him. And then maybe they kissed. What can I say? She's out of her mind without Jin. 🤣

okay no but seriously, in my head she does start to revert to her old ways, her old type, but she knows Hari isn't right for her. She misses Jin but she's not used to having a connection so fast with someone. And when he's gone she misses him but over the course of the day after putting on her brave face, she's convinced herself she's overthinking it. the letter was sweet but it scared her a little. she knows he was gonna ask her to be exclusive and she freaked a little. she just needs a little distraction....

I enjoy sports day but in my head it's usually a late in the show game. Like around in S2 when they have the bird thing happening or the S4 musical (OK maybe not that late, like probably pre baby challenge, but it's generally a challenge with very little drama is my point). still it was fun to have here.

and then of course return of the king, Jin comes back. and with the way I've been doing shit, yes, MC did kiss Hari when Jin entered and ohhhh he was upset.

Bea is cute but playful and still competitive and okay she goes for your couple, but also I get like Chelsea vibes from her (no canon reason why, I just think it's the hair) so love her.

Double date is so fun when your other partner is nearby, like it's almost enough to forget they did the same thing in season 5 because it's so much better this time around.

for fun and for angst I just imagine in the show, mid date they cut to a beach hut scene where MC is like "yeah I had a fun time with Hari but he when he was talking about all the things he wants in a life partner, I kept thinking about how I want that with Jin." 🥺

anyway yeah bring back beach hut

So I'm not a big fan of how they introduced the bombshells and LI return but it's not bad. I just think we could've gotten more time with Jin, Hari, and Bea. It's unclear but I think it's implied Jin, Hari, Bea, and MC are all single and I hope that's true because that way there will be little consequence (as in no sudden dumping) if you or another one of those characters brings someone from casa. because you're not in a couple anyway. (I mean I always hope there's no Dumping immediately after casa bc the arguments are more fun but this is how they've been doing it recently and i think part of that is bc of how they force the routes to merge)

it's also nice we don't get immediately stolen from our partner a la Tom/Cora entrance (or Elliot/Chloe) but it's sort of implied with how the sports day couples went? like I wish there was just a little more time before Casa so it's clear they're all single

or fuck it, give us a recoupling and post casa don't dump the other LI right away if you switch. Like you should be able to make up with your LI or not and it's boys choice and if they wanna keep the slow burn Theo picks last I guess and gets Bea just to also fix the Theo and Claudia together but not storyline. Maybe between your original LI and Hari, one of them picks Claudia (or give us another mlm couple if you're on a Claudia route and let him couple with Theo lmao)

Favorite TD moments?

Thank you for the question. TBH the moments I remember most tend to be the funny ones BUT I will try to list out one fave character/plot moment from each season. RR: I think I talk about Emma's ending with Kitty before, and I've talked about the air guitar episode. So I won't talk about those. Instead I'll talk about the time MacArthur saved Josee's life by sharing her oxygen thingy majig. I love moments when enemies put aside their grievances in face of a bigger danger. Likewise, I like the scene where Tom&Jen finally get over their lil hissy fit and become friends again. They're not enemies, just besties going through a minor tiff, but still. I love a good reconciliation. Pakhitew: When Shawn saved Jasmine by facing his zombie fear. This whole season he's been battling his zombie-phobia, to the point of hurting Jasmine, and saying it's better to not get attached becaus then you'll prioritize your girl over your own safety.... but then he does it!! And becomes a better person! I rlly like Shawn lol. All Stars: Uhhhh. We'll come back to this one. ROTI: The time where Cameron got Jo eliminated. Jo had been using the guy as an underling, but finally he strikes back and it's great. She finally recognizes him as a real threat, he tells him "i learned it from you," and for at once Jo is at peace. It's a great transition moment too, because he's finally surpassing her. World Tour: It's my favorite season so I should have a bunch of moments to pick from but uhh. I think I like this season more for the dialogue than anything else. Uhh. I like the moment where Lindsay says she'd never laugh at her boyfriend, because Tyler had been the laughingstock of the season, yet she truly does care for him. It's so sweet. They're supposed to be the dumb-dumb couple, and they are, but they defend each other and help each other, and stay with each other, when other people would have given up. It's like allyship within a community. I love them. Action: This is small, but Justin's crush on Courtney is such a good character moment imo. It feels out of nowhere, but the guy has been struggling with the beauty vs brains debate this whole season, "Math is for ugly people," and he feels like it has to be one or the other. But then he sees Courtney and he's like wow she has the best of both worlds. And it's an epiphany. That you CAN do that. Yeah it's kinda silly that anyone would think otherwise, but it's a realization that would have a big impact. I HC that this is why he joined the Total Drama Brothers. Because he wanted to try something new that wasn't just beauty. And he chose music. Sure he's not good at music, but it's still new. Being a celebrity singer is a meld between being pretty and being good at music, so it's a good first step. Island: Uhh, gonna go back to All Stars now. All Stars: I think that the finale having a huge castle is cool. Island: Total Dramarama: Noah catching the ball. He may have objected to working out, and he may have made his teacher’s life hell, but when he caught the ball and realized he Could be Good at Sports, he was very happy. And it was rlly cute. Island: It's not that there's no good moments in Island but there's not a lot that resonated with me? I know Lindsay had a cool moment, that Harold saved his team again and again, that Courtney did something nice because of Duncan, that Courtney did something mean because of Duncan. I just don't care about Island that much lmaoo. Uhh. As a noco shipper I liked it when - *gets shot*.

Someone had a rough night. LMAO.

Both Millie and TJ had (very noisy) sleepovers with friends and I went out with my sister and came home so drunk that he had to carry me upstairs to bed and then I proceeded to pass out in the middle of feeling extremely amorous.   And although I apparently gave him ‘blue balls’, he still undressed me and put me in pyjamas and then fetched the puke bucket several times during the night.

Needless to say,  he’s feeling it this morning.

When you're married to the hottest guy on earth.  He just gets better and better with age. While I look more and more like a busted can of biscuits.   Yet he doesn’t seem to care that I’m a mess (and not a hot one either, and he still sticks around and seems to be horny ALL THE TIME). The new ‘thing’ at our house is Tanner going into the gym to hang out with his dad while he works out.  So Tae will forgo listening to music in favour of Tanner reading to him from his favourite book of the moment.  Today however, Tanner brought in a joke book he’d found at the school book fair and apparently,  that shit is hilarious lol

And look at that adorable, clean shaven face.  I prefer the beard (as do the kids) but there’s doing he’s cute AF.

We just got her buckled in and the husband starts the truck, then sniffs the air and quickly turns the ignition off.

Feels like so long ago! But baby Tanner.  In the NICU. And wearing daddy’s wedding ring.   It was a long road and we came so close to losing him so many times, but now he’s ten years old and the healthiest person in the house!  Now he loves to tell anyone who will listen that his twin brother ‘tried to kill me when we were in mum’s tummy’

Our first winter trip to the lake house.  Senior and Junior taking in the view.  My humongous  -and always and forever- love and one of my little loves :)

Back in Colorado. At the very end of the longest and most painful six months of my life.   We reconciled (under certain ‘rules’ that had to be followed) and he was finally home to stay after an eight week stint in rehab.   Clean and sober and healthier than ever.  And both of us ready to start from scratch :)

What’s more beautiful? The sunset? or the man?

I’m going with the man.

It’s hard to lay claim to him when he’s dressed like that.
