#trigun stampede #trigun #vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #i think they both spent majority of their lives in solitude and ofc vash went town to town and made friendships promises and etc along the w #way + he had his home and whatnot in the long years he's been alive but he still just seemed so lonely.#in prior versions of trimax he had friends at home at least and maybe he mightv made some but luida and brad are basically just his #guardians in this adaption. like brad used to be a homie.... vash watched that little dude grow up.... and jessica too.... but he doesn't #have that in this adaption. nor a town like july where he had grown close to the townspeople and shaped that tragedy to be closer to his #heart. and wolfwood spent years fighting under the eom and doing shit under their jurisdiction when we saw him so adamantly try to reject #and fight back against that fate. i dont think he had a second at all to get familiar with townspeople or even care to #so its just these two lonely ass souls and vash immediately seeing the good in ww and points it out #ww who is under orders again to be involved in vash's business but he's also SO touchy about it bc vash is so careless and lack that self #regard and also just is not seeing the world that ww is seeing. but then vash helps him and saves him by sharing a piece of what /he/ sees #and it fucking. rescrambled ww's brain for a sec. HE GAVE HIM HOPE!!! he gave him hope!!!! and in turn ww gave vash hope too and its #all done in like 3-4 eps. there's so much fervent attachment in what they managed to give each other in such a short time #but theyre limited to the contract to the inevitable confrontation with knives - so while theyd want to give into that chance to love this #person who managed to give them smth special they just can't at all #ruporas art

#mp answers #i've been trying so hard not to be annoying to my bnha friends but if you will allow me to push this for this ask let me say 🙏#if you're afraid of the episode count for one piece the manga is a lot quicker read while being just as enjoyable because the art style is #an actual delight. its great its fantastic im absolutely in love with it #the series is soooo good and i know luffy can seem unappealing to people before they start but he's just SUCH a great character & continues #to be even now. the story is SO GOOD the characters are SO GOOD... theres so much lore and world building that its insane #if you read the manga we get 'cover stories' on what's going on with previous characters to see what theyre up to even though we moved on #from where we left them. a lot of these cover stories blend into the main story so well its just seamless #there's one where we get introduced to a character we dont see hundreds of episodes into the anime and they show up like; during the second #saga. the series is about traveling to other islands and every single arc has been tied to another in some way or form that shows up later #even if its sagas and sagas later- it still becomes relevant again!! it's a huge ongoing story and there isnt a single arc that feels like #it has no purpose (sans filler in the anime-but even then!! some filler arcs are really entertaining!)#it's emotional! its sad! its downright stupid and silly but GOD... you can feel the love that oda put into this series and his characters #and the emotions in the expressions and the messages the story gives off it just makes me UEUHGHHAHGHH!!!#it's all about the adventure and the romance of it all! its about the freedom it brings and bringing freedom to others!#its a series where treasure should be a focus given its pirates and the its a giant treasure hunt for the one piece and yet! and yet so man #of the characters treasures are things that are not coins and gems but people and promises and family and and #im going to EXPLODE i love one piece

at the end of the day church and tex are pygmalion and galatea and we just have to accept that. like the story of the sculptor who fell in love with his own art

bc she really is just his own creation that he loves and wants to love him back and wants to be whole but she’s.. not. she’ll never be anything outside of him, she’d never exist if it weren’t for his imagination (since she isn’t truly allison she is his concocted version of her) and because of that she can’t be human

he loves her as some fucked of version of loving himself (he loves who he was when he was with her and loves that he created her and that she is wholly his)

the difference is that alpha is no god, no aphrodite, and he cannot create life, he can only fragment himself which is why they do not get the happy ending of pygmalion and galatea, they instead are doomed to repeat and echo the agonies of the people they mimic

#this is what makes tex's story a sexist one bc she cannot exist outside of the context of church #BUT ALSO it is the reason that church has to be the one to forget her #she cannot leave/die of her own agency bc she doesn't have her own agency #she is bound to him and him setting her free and promising to forget her is his way of finally recognizing his part in her story #as her creator and (therefore) tormentor #she can only live a half life/a cursed life and by continuing to keep her alive or bring her back to life he is continuing her agony #and therefore he is the only one who can actually let her go and THATS why her death means so much to me #she DESERVES death bc her life is hell #i love them but theyre so tragic okay #i also was SURE pygmalion and galatea had some sort of tragic ending when i started this post but ??#they literally just like get married and have a kid so good for them i guess #theres probably some symbolism about how she wanted to be human too which... i cant get into itll make me too sad #rvb #red vs blue #agent texas #leonard church #rvb tex #rvb church #chex #rvb chex

Regulus Black with a mobility aid, inspired by a post from @/youdrewstars_aroundmyscars on instagram.

- Regulus has cerebral palsy, as a result of a gene mutation causing his brain to develop differently

- Specifically he has ataxic cerebral palsy, so he has trouble with balance and coordination when walking, and he has a hard time with quick movements and with tasks such as writing which require a lot of control

- He also is deaf as a result of a gene mutation, which also led to slight "issues" in his pronunciation when talking

- His parents always ignored his disabilities as a child, instead liking to pretend he was able bodied, and never giving him the help and support he needed

- He was forced into speech therapy, and his parents would always force him to try "walk properly without falling over" so as to not "ruin their reputation"

- When his speech didn't get much better and he still couldn't miraculously hear them, Regulus' parents finally got him a cochlear implant at age 9, but that was all the support he ever got

- Once Regulus got to Hogwarts, he decided to take matters into his own hands

- The speech therapy has stopped, which he was glad about, but he was still slow and unsteady on his feet and struggled with writing and moving quickly

- After a couple weeks scouring the library, Regulus found a charm he could put on his quill so that it would write for him, and that was one accommodation he found for himself, his classmates giving him odd looks but never questioning it

- After much deliberation, after struggling with the stairs and walking to his classes on time, Regulus decided to get himself a cane

- Just after Christmas in his first year, Regulus got Sirius to help him in finding and buying a cane, as Sirius had been through this with Remus already and was more than happy to help his little brother

- Regulus got his cane in January of 1973 while still in first year, and of course people asked him what it was for, why he needed it, even went as far as to tell him he couldn't possibly need it as he was only 12 years old

- This got to Regulus at first, but then he remembered about Remus and his cane, how cool it made him look, and he began strutting around Hogwarts with his head held high, death staring anyone who dare question him or look at him the wrong way

- Regulus was still a little unsteady with the cane, and still had to go quite slowly, but it helped, and that was what mattered

- So Regulus used his cane for a few years, leaving it at Hogwarts over Christmas and asking Sirius to send it home with James over summer so that his parents didn't crucify him, and all was well, he was finally getting aid in walking and it was a lot easier for him

- In his 5th year, having run away from home with Sirius the previous year to live with James, it finally hit Regulus that he was free. For good. He could use any aids he needed without worry of consequence from his parents

- He decided that he wanted to try out a walker, as he thought this would help with his balance a lot more than the cane did

- Over Christmas break of his 5th year, while at the Potter's, Regulus brought up the idea with Effie and Monty, who were more than happy to help him, and were very happy that he was finally asking for help and not completely hiding his feelings anymore

- Within 2 days, they had found a walker that seemed suitable and it was in the house, ready for Regulus to try out

- That day, Sirius, Remus, James, and Regulus, Peter and Marlene both living nearby but occupied with family activities, went for a walk down to the village, Remus with his cane mainly to help Regulus feel more confident, and Regulus with his brand new walker

- It did help, it helped a lot. And while Regulus was sad he didn't get the chance to get one earlier in his life, he was thrilled that he had one now

- With the walker, he could balance a lot better than he could with the cane, and he could even walk a little faster, not having to slow the group down any slower than Remus' pace with his cane

- Regulus used the walker every day of Christmas break from there, even when they all took a trip to Diagon Alley together

- In Diagon Alley, while Regulus did get a few stares from older witches and a few people in his classes, he employed the tactic he had used when he first got his cane; head held high and death stare all the way, and he made his way through all of the shops happily talking with his brother and his friends, more confident than ever

- Going back to Hogwarts, Regulus hit the issue of the many stairs in the building, not being able to use his walker up them

- He settled for using his cane at any time where he had to go up stairs, and using his walker whenever possible

- Regulus finished Hogwarts confidently using his mobility aids, no longer worrying about people's opinions of him, and continued to use his aids out in the world, with his boyfriend (boyfriend !!) James Potter and his brother and brother in law always by his side

- Very co-dependent

- they go on late night walks a lot

- Coffin carries Briefcase to bed when he overworks himself

- Coffin only lets a few people call him Finn and Briefcase is one of those people (Also Electracey)

- they're so doomed by the narrative it hurts me

- They try on each other's glasses for fun, but they have completely different prescriptions so they can't see anything lol

- coffin takes great care of all the flowers Briefcase gives him for valentines day

- They also always hang out at a cemetery or take a walk in the woods for Valentine's Day
