pairing: kas!eddie munson x fem!reader
a small follow up to this. inspired by you know what pictures.
It's not him that's coming up behind you.
You're sitting in front of a tombstone. A tombstone, not his tombstone, for he is not there. He's at your house, eating in your kitchen, sleeping every night in your bed. By a miracle, or a curse, you're not sure yet.
Excusing yourself to visit the cemetary was your reprieve. A poor excuse to give yourself time away from everyone, including him. Not Eddie, no. Not your sweet boyfriend, still recovering from everything he's been put through, but the one who took a ride out of Hell with him.
The vampire, the parasyte.
Your shoes are caked with dirt, and your jeans are brown with it. There's a single daisy in your hand, rolled between your fingers as you stare into the middle distance. The words carved in stone are blurred in your vision, and the cold winter sun shines above.
The steps come closer until they stop. You don't have to look to know he's there, lowering himself to sit beside you. You don't have to look to know who's got control, the way he's carrying himself is enough to tell.
It took a while to notice the difference between them, the sutile shift in your boyfriend's aura, but now it is easier than breathing. You don't need to look at his red eyes to know who's in charge.
"How long are you going to keep doing this?"
"Doing what?" You don't mean to sound this cross, but it comes out like that anyway.
"Hiding. Pretending. Lying."
Neither of you are looking at each other. Profiles staring at each other, an empty grave between you.
"Until you leave us alone."
The vampire smiles, sardonic. His head turns lazily, eyes on you. "I'm not going anywhere. Not until I'm done."
The daisy is left on the ground, white petals crushed on the dirt. "Then don't ask me for more than what I'm already giving you."
"Oh, darling. That's more than enough."
When you turn away to leave, you don't need to look behind to see who's following you.

I honestly don't know if I should be happy or not about the fact that Neo and Mark together scratch my brain in all the right ways.
Cause like good for me I guess. It's always fun and exciting when something like that happens - kinda feels a little bit like falling in love lol
But also no pairing hits the right way right now which makes it hard to get into new shows and also I don't know if they will ever make another show together. (🥲🥹😭)

this one line from cruel summer has stuck to me and i feel like it could be used as a prompt but idk what
"I don't wanna keep secrets just to keep you."
like that is sooo prompt-worthy 😭 the amount of angst radiating off this is so sksksksks i can SMELL the toxic relationship where the character that avoids conlict and is bad at communicating finally confronts their partner and the couple's conversation escalates until the avoiding-conflict person yells this as they finally snap (its me, im that gyal 😞)
you're actually right this is so prompt worthy 😭😭 imagine if it's followed by:
"you can't make me stay anyway. not anymore."

Groaning, she let her head fall back to the dirt. “You win,” she said. She’d lost sight of the scarf, but it didn’t matter.
It wasn’t him.
X
“You got your mark, then?”
“No,” Rayla shook her head. “It wasn’t him. It was—just another dark mage.”
