you know when i first started watching love in the air, the one thing i didn’t anticipate was just how much this series would love showing me the same damn scenes over and over

I’m gonna gush for a hot minute
ugh the wereroomies couples
I love how they all have their different dynamics and how/why they hit together. Firstly our pack parents. Literally made by the stars for each other. To think of a world where they wouldn’t be together is devastating. Like I can very much see Chan never finding a mate if he never found pretty. Cause nothing would ever feel right. They are just so AKSHDHJKAKHDK. It’s the purest form of love that everyone hopes for
GingerBin, they are so beautiful and special because they also had to learn how to love and care for themselves before letting anyone else in. They know their worth and even if someone fell a fraction below that, they knew it wouldn’t work. Both had their own obstacles to climb that they eventually got to join fighting together. They are this beautiful independent love and it wouldn’t work for either of them if they didn’t have their own foundation to stand on
oh my precious mitten. My head tells me they might be made for each other, but I’m gonna pivot and say no. While I do believe this is a pairing that will make them both happiest in the long run, they made it that way. They’ve been with each other constantly and through some really rough and hairy (hehe). They fight and argue. They aren’t afraid to say what they need to regardless if it might cause a little trouble. Their relationship has been tried and tested throughout the years and they both know that. They have an insane amount of trust in the other because of it. They won’t give in easily to something else trying to make a romantic relationship fall apart. They work because I have a feeling that they did “force” themselves to love one another. They are so wholly and utterly accepting of each other, they cherish all those little things they worked for to see. They made themselves for each other, nothing passive about it.

hard agree on all these!!!!
i feel like if pretty and chris never met they'd both just live their lives forever single and kinda like... like something was missing. i'm sure they'd have a great support system around them, would have a lot of professional milestones, and overall have fulfilling lives, but there would always be something on the back of their minds and deep within their heart that'd tell them something was missing. and that's honestly heartbreaking the need to meet, like i don't want them to not be together kjrhgdjkfhgdfkjgdjkfghkdfgdf they should be able to share all those milestones with their soulmate ))):
gingerbin UGH... they're just so... complementary. like, they complement each other so well. like you said, they stand on their own as people, but together they just shine so bright and i'm sure they're having lots of fun sharing their love now. changbin could've very easily told autumn to fuck right off that day she appeared at his doorstep, just to be petty, but he still didn't. he helped her through a hard time, and they really found comfort in each other )))):
mitten feel 100% like a "i choose to be with you" thing. doesn't diminish the others in any way, it's just that they've got this vibe of "we're not soulmates, but that doesn't matter because we are together, and we will continue to be together". it's a lot of hard work and communication and understanding, and the fact that they've been friends for so long... i'm sure they do understand each other pretty well. they probably have to find their footing when it comes to being a couple since it isn't 100% like being friends, but they definitely will.

heyyy! i hope this doesn't sound weird. i don't really know how sex scenes in shows or movies work and i'm not sure if you may know a lot about that stuff either- ANYWAYS im kinda just looking for another opinion tbh.
How do you think the byler sex scene will be? Explicit, something like Steve and Nancy's scene, or implied? And do you think finn and noah will act it out, have doubles act out that scene, or a little bit of both? What do you imagine they WOULD be comfortable with (if you are okay to share that opinion because i know some people don't like or don't want to make assumptions). A lot i imagine will probably have to do with what the actors are comfortable with. i don't envision the duffers giving byler a sex scene that will be HEAVILY explicit as in showing full-on nude scenes; the most i believe the actors, in this case, finn and noah would have to do is make out minus a bit of clothing ie shirtless or in undergarments, but what do you think? Personally idk how comfortable I would be shooting a scene like that with tons of ppl around no matter who it was or how long I knew them lmao BUUUUT HEY-- they are professionals. I could see noah being nervous about something like that but excited to give it his all; as for finn he has already shot something ppl deemed scandalous in WYFSTW so i just see him being shy yet nonchalant. They're also both young and hot in Hollywood, so who knows, they may be into it.*GUNSHOTS*
hey hey!! prefacing this to say, while I do find it fun to talk about a byler sex scene and make jokes about the context/content and how spicy it could be - i genuinely do not believe they're gonna really get too explicit with it within the actual show. Like, for any pairing, first off - there's not going to be any nudity. While it's NOT A KIDS SHOW it's also not a show historically rated M. TV shows do not typically hard pivot into explicit content for their last season like this (i personally wouldn't be phased, but that's not really how the industry works haha). Even if jancy get another scene or jopper gets something (i have a high suspicion we WILL be getting a spicy scene for jopper, but there's not going to be nudity imo), it's still not going to be any more explicit than the stancy scene. which was great! for the tone of the show!!
I honestly have full confidence that byler is happening, and I think that we're getting several steps of the relationship. Like it would be a disservice to be like 'oh we saved the world, here's a chaste little peck between mike and will at the very end!' nahhh, miss me with that. I trust the process. It's just such an important arc? I think the heavy lean-in to fully realized and expressed physical sexuality is a big part of will's arc in particular. So we might get something? I'm thinking a halfway point between the Steve/Nancy and the Jonathan/Nancy scenes. Like not full on simulated but not quite a fade to black? Like heavy making out, maybe shirts getting removed, grabbing at a belt, falling into bed (or a haystack! they're spending a lot of time on that damn barn set! lol), etc etc. They are the heart of the show so i think the byler romance IS the moment for season five.
Filming sex scenes in tv/movies is more like... choreography. It's really odd ballet. Akin to stop motion animation? And it's typically a closed set with a minimal crew these days. It's posing, reposition, reposition again, adjust the modesty garments, getting a few motions in, changing the camera angle to get a different reaction shot, close up of the actor's face, check in with intimacy coordinator, body double for a random limb, body double for whatever else, reposition, etc etc. it's honestly not sexy at all lol. But I don't even think it'll get to that level? I very much doubt it's gonna be anywhere near like, that euphoria show's levels of on-screen passion and nudity. I barely even consider the stancy scene soft-core and that was pretty tame imo. I think finn and noah are totally down with my prediction on the direction it will go. They've been with these characters for so long, and I think they're super dedicated to expressing the very best character arcs and they are excited about the relationship between the two - with this sort of scene being the pinnacle of formalizing that relationship in the eyes of the viewer. Maybe yeah - if this was a different show, a hard turn into a full nudity sex scene might be a big difficult to wrap their reality around at this stage in their careers, having barely even waded into on-screen romance in their filmographies thus far - but it ain't happening in this show. So no worries there.

Unit Teambuilding - Variety Noland
Everyone please avert your gaze, from this month's Last Winner.
General Overview A lot of people seem excited about this dude, and for the life of me, I do not understand why. Variety Noland is not exactly my pick for a guy doing anything of note. At his maximum, which includes the Role Cake, he is able to keep pace with SC Emmet, which sounds great until you look at his conditions. Pecking Order with only a -1 effect is painfully slow. The majority of his kit requires max speed, which he does set up by himself, giving +2 speed to the team for each attack he throws out. But this has to come around his setup, which at minimum includes his trainer move, which is his selling point: -3 sync cooldown. More on that later. His Buddy move is inactive unless his speed is maximum, and is a one-bar, single-target move that debuffs accuracy and inflicts Confusion. Which are nice effects. He has evasion boosting, which in combination with debuffing accuracy, makes him exceptionally good at dodging.
But here's my problem: outside of fast ramping and constantly rolling the dice, what is Noland good at? Damage isn't really his forte, he's keeping pace with a top meta damage dealer but only under strict conditions. He's certainly not taking on many Gauntlet stages with that horrid -3 to both defenses on his trainer move, given how many Sure Hit/Sure Crit effects come in. The only thing I at least understand is an immediate -3 sync cooldown, which I personally do not value enough to consider as an entire team slot. I feel like you should do more than that. It's my entire problem with Nemona and why I don't use her much: even with three bursts of damage I need more out of you for this to matter. Oh, but if he grids Head Start 1, you can pull off the coveted Double Fast-Ramp, where you get to first sync after only one turn! Okay great, but now you're dealing with hyper-restrictive team structures where the rest of the team needs to provide -2 sync cooldown, which more often than not, means running Head Start 1 on everyone. And I'm sorry, that doesn't feel worthwhile to me. Maybe if you're pivoting into an AoE sync nuke that's immediately strong enough to vaporize a stage, or into a strong EX Support backed by heavy DPS, I could see the value. But these are, again, restrictive teams that emphasize the pairs already not having any trouble. These Sprint roles feel more like a "rich getting richer" scenario, directly benefiting the strongest pairs while older options desperate for buffs get nothing out of it.
So I'm sorry, but I do not respect Noland in the slightest. I legitimately don't understand what his role is supposed to be. I don't think he contributes much of anything to CS with his largely single-target focus and slow acting debuffs. High Score will be no different. I don't think he contributes anything to Gauntlet, because the instant a Sure Hit/Sure Crit move gets thrown out, he's dead as hell. Honestly, with the AoE meta in modern CS, I don't even know how he's going to survive that. I guess by hoping that evasion actually matters this time, and they don't have Piercing Gaze like Flint or Glacia, or Hail into perfect accuracy Blizzards like Glacia, or massive accuracy buffs on entry like-okay you get the idea, Glacia's strong. My point here is, I feel like Noland sucks tremendously, and we're going to see a bunch of showcases about how good his fast-ramping tools are, and I'm going to be sitting in the corner muttering to myself about how the mark of a good sync pair is supposed to be how it helps the weakest picks, not how well it synergizes with the other whale bait tools. And that's why NC Bede is still better than the Kantonians, moving on.
EX, Role, and Move Level? None, don't pull him.  If you are so inclined though, EX and 3/5 are required, he cannot do much without them.  I'd say 2/5 is the minimum you get away with, for Stop Hitting Yourself 5.  His only claim to fame will be luck hax.  That said, do not give him Strike role.  Do you hear me?  Do not do this.  It is such a terrible investment.  "But a fast-acting double sync that rivals Emmets!"  Are you really going to put that much into him?  Knowing we still don't have Bug gear, and that gear will drop with a big name Bug pair?  Think about your future.
Team 1: V!Noland, SC Emmet, SC Ingo "You're not-" oh but I am.  Dead serious, use Noland as a tank.  I think it's funny to play the evasion game with max offensive parameters on CS, what's the worst that happens, he dies?  SC Emmet's a nuke in that mode anyway, if you have him and Ingo invested they'll handle it.  He's just here to fast-ramp.
Team 2: V!Noland, Hilbert, SC Ingo If you're looking to make Noland work as the primary damage dealer, you're pretty much only looking at Hilbert.  You need Atk/Spd/crit in the same place, after all.  The good news is, with accuracy debuffing and confusion application on a high DPS move, he does combo well with SC Ingo.  Evasion boosts, accuracy debuffs, Stop Hitting Yourself 5 boosted confusion, all makes Hilbert a lot more sturdy than he seems.
Team 3: V!Noland, SC Lillie, Anni N Oh god help me.  Okay, Noland can debuff offenses!  Which means he works for the Devastation/Pecking Order nukes.  Sadly, his own speed works against him, as the fast-ramp interferes with full debuffing potential.  It's never great, but it can be useful if you have an option that keeps pace, like SC Lillie.
Team 4: V!Noland, NC Bede/SS Steven, SC Hilda/SS Serena If there is any universal claim to fame that V!Noland has, it's the fast-acting first ramp.  With a natural and immediate -3 in one move, he facilitates the mythical First Sync Double Ramp, with teams that can hit -6 cooldown by turn 1.  There are multiple potential iterations of such a composition; it's worth noting SS Steven as a gauge master evade tank for self-sufficient options like SS Serena, but NC Bede is going to be the powerhouse support that brings anything to relevance.  All you need is any additional source of Head Start 1.  Which, if I'm being real with you, may as well come from V!Noland's lucky skill, since he's not doing a whole lot else.
Final Thoughts Noland exists for -6 cooldown turn 1 strats, and I really am not a fan of trying to push for those.  -6 cooldown ramps existed before this, and while -3 in one move has been a huge component of that, there are options with more to do than Noland outside of this, like SS May and SS Silver.  Or, hell, Rei if you give him Head Start lucky skill.  Noland feels fairly limited by comparison, having minimal contributions in a type that desperately needed new damage dealers. I just don't respect this one at all. Oh god, this happened with Paulo and people liked him. Oh no, do I just hate the Sprint role?

Summary: A pruned Loki wakes up on Earth - our earth, the one outside of Marvel. Pairings: Loki x ofc
A/N: a story with lots of dialogue, general chaos, and our favorite god being a heathen among us
word count: 1500
One single crack of thunder rings. It is loud, but there isn’t a cloud in the sky. She pulls one earbud out of her ear and glances around - everyone walks. A couple laughs into each other, a man walks with his head in his phone, another speeds by on a bike. A dog stops and barks. Someone besides the dog had to notice the sound. Was it part of the song? The dog barks again, their owner tugging on their harness. She follows the dog’s eyes.
There appears a man by the railing of the bridge. Was he there a second ago? He’s slender, with jet black hair. Familiar even. Tall too --he collapses to his knees, resting for a brief moment. Then his face hits the concrete.
Her eyes dart towards him then scan the bridge. The dog barks in the distance, a kid takes three steps past the man on the ground, eyes buried in their phone. Nobody stops to help.
The man remains face down on the concrete. She hesitates, turning over her earbud in her fingers. She sighs, and jogs to him.
"Hey are you okay?" she says, standing over him. He doesn’t move.
She kneels down next to him, hands hovering over his shoulder. They move closer, trembling a bit. Nerves rush through her stomach, pulsing like twisted butterflies. Deep breath. She grabs onto his shirt and tugs him to his side. His eyes dart open. They’re piercing green and panicked. She knows them.
"Oh my God, You're, you're - holy shit!" Her hands drop off of him, shock visible on her face. Breathe. In and out.
"Do I know you? Where am I?" he asks, voice strained and exhausted. He pushes himself up to his knees. His expression softens, eyes scanning her face, scanning the bridge.
She breathes back her adrenaline and extends a hand.
"Are you okay?" she asks, and helps him to his feet. He’s heavy, she pulls hard to balance him. He’s very tall, 6’ 4” at least. Distressed black hair frames his face. His skin is pale, eyes wary. He is slender, but looks strong, wearing a tie and collared shirt tucked into tightly tailored pants. My god, if he didn’t look completely beautiful in person. Tired, but beautiful.
"Yes. Yes, I'm fine,” he breaths, hands retreating to his knees as he steadies himself. He closes his eyes, then stands, hands laced behind his head.
Another pair walks by, teens maybe. One looks up from their phone and their mouth drops. They hit their friend's shoulder.
She looks back at him, he’s staring at her. His eyebrows burrow together, his eyes wet and tired. Out of the corner of her eye she sees another dog walker, pretending to kneel and fix their dog, with their phone out. She whispers, "We need to get you out of here."
The teens talk in hushed tones nearby. They had stopped walking, huddled together across the walkway. They take a selfie. The dogwalker, still kneeling by their pup, takes one as well. A young woman walking by notices them. The woman’s eyes go wide as she whips out her phone.
"Why? Am I in danger?" he asks, a bit too loud. His eyes scan the bridge. She can see him begin to recognize what she already did. The nerves kick up again, her cheeks a bit hot.
"Well, not really. But you're gonna draw a crowd like this."
The teens squeal in the distance. Three more selfies. They’re in the background of them all. A couple passes. The girlfriend pivots hard and pulls her boyfriend to the railing of the bride. Hiding behind his shoulder, the girlfriend points and whispers.
He tilts his head, a strand of black hair falling in front of his eyes. "Last time I was on Midgard I wasn't noticed like this."
She pauses, wrapping her brain around his words. She continues, exasperated, "Midgard, what kind of method acting shit is this?"
"Acting, what are you - where I am? Am I dead?" he says, each word growing louder. The strand of hair moves as he speaks. It looks so real. It can't be real.
"What? No. You're looking at me, is this a prank?"
"This looks like Midgard but that looks like a tiny New York. And it's just, I feel different here. Where am I?" he asks, pointing at the skyline behind them. His hair flows with the point of his finger.
"Minneapolis?"
"And where is that?"
“Minnesota?”
He raises an eyebrow.
"Midwest?"
It stays raised.
"United States?"
It raises higher.
"Earth, the planet is earth. What the fuck, why are you like this? Tom, this isn't funny."
His head flips back in shock, hair falling off his face. "Who the hell is Tom?"
"You. You're Tom, or an insanely good impersonator."
"I'm Loki, of Asgard," he proclaims, bringing one hand to his chest while the other rests on his hip. His hair looks too perfect, too real. She had to--
"That's a really good wig." His mouth drops into a frown, eyes horrified. It’s all impulse - her hand bolts for his jet black hair and tugs. It all stays steady.
"Ow, that's not a wig-" he yelps, backing away. She moves towards him, hand extended. Her fingertips brush it again, feel the oil. He swats her hand away pointing as he speaks.
"You will not touch my hair!"
It’s a command, sure, and a menacing tone to it at that, but she couldn’t hide her awe.
"No its just impressive, you look so real. Like exactly like I'd expect Loki to look but also, I don't know."
"What is there some other Loki variant in this realm? Does he rule here? Is that why everyone is staring?" His voice raises with his last words, laced with a hint of anger, addressing the small crowd forming.
Scattered pairs and individuals all stalled in their tracks. None approached them. Instead it was like they were all trying to go unnoticed, trying to observe without intruding. Trying to not be rude. It was so passive. So uncomfortable. So midwest.
"Variant? Tom, I -"
He glares.
"I'm sorry, uh, Loki, I think we should talk about this somewhere private."
"What, so you can kill me? Is this another time cell? Are you with the TVA?"
Some in the crowd stared. Some took pictures. A few were recording, phones angled oddly, obviously pretending to text. The ones that kept walking did so slowly, as if they didn’t need to partake in the scene, as if they couldn’t trust their eyes but had to see.
"No, it's just -how do I put this? You're famous here. "
"For the battle of New York?"
"No, well yes I guess you could say that’s a part of it. No, you're more of a celebrity."
A young girl stares at them, maybe twenty feet away. Her shirt is black, her grin wide, as wide as the face on her shirt. Her Loki shirt.
"I'm famous?"
She nods.
"Admired?"
She nods again.
His lips twist into a smirk. Someone in the crowd snaps a picture, with flash. Loki lifts a hand off his hip and waves.
She rolls her eyes. "We're going to cause a scene. Are you here with anyone?"
"No, I don't think so."
"When did you get here?"
"Just now, I landed over there."
"Landed? What?" She stops. She remembers the thunder, the way he collapsed like he was only visible to her. The way time stopped, the way nobody moved to help but now everyone stopped to stare. He looks so real. His hair looks so real. He looks so alive, but so tired. His hair is distressed. His hair. She hesitates, "Can I pull your hair one more time?"
"What does that have to do with anything-"
"Just, please? I need to make a call here, I need to know."
He contemplates it, chin in hand. "Okay sure. Do it, pull my hair."
She reaches out, slowly at first. She grabs a fist full of hair. It’s greasy. She tugs.
"Not that hard!"
She laughs. It’s so firmly rooted. "So it's really your hair?"
"Yes, yes it's my hair. Tell me why -"
She sees it, right then - "Tom - Loki - look."
She grabs his shoulders and spins him, pointing it out. It’s a bus, a bus with Loki’s face, eyes stooped, smile mischievous, and collar on his neck above the TVA logo on his jumpsuit. The lettering reads Loki season finale, Wednesday. Loki frowns.
"Is that, me? But how? The collar, is this some sick joke?"
"I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I live around the block from here. Why don't you come with me, we can talk about this."
He eyes her up and down.
"What, do you think I'm a threat?"
"Well you do look a little terrifying. Weak, human, but feisty."
What a condescending asshole. God of Mischief indeed. "Well I'm going to walk home. You can follow me or stay, I don't really care what you do. If you do stay, conjure yourself up a hat and put it on the ground. You could probably get tips, it's a good impersonation."
A/N: There's more coming but anywhere you want to see them go I'll take them. Future chapters may be longer idk. And the pic is the best I could find for the bus ads I know I've seen.
