I spent the past week panicking because my lease is almost up and apartments in my building are going for $800 higher than what I am currently paying. They finally sent me my new lease and I am relieved because it is only a 10% increase. This is all to say that being relieved by a 10% increase just goes to show how out of control inflation is right now. I’ve lived in 2 cities in the past 5 years, in multiple different rentals and I have never had a rent increase even close to 10%.

"He's a bit clingy..." Suzume said in her head then she heard a girl giggle behind them "Otosan?" His kids were there.

She had no idea what was happening to Naoki's marriage, but his kids seemed cheerful about both their parents and she got the impression he was happily married. In the nicest way possible she said it was best to end the date and stay friends (really she wanted to get out of there). And that was how the blind date was over before it even started 🫣
