Eric Harris: Online

We explore Eric's affinity for escapism and his behavior online. Super long post, tl;dr at end.

As a teenager, Eric grew more withdrawn. His interests began to take shape around computers and he was particularly fond of Doom II, a 90’s first-person shooter in which the main character (Doomguy) fights hoards of demons on Earth. Doom II included multiplayer, as did its predecessor, Doom. However, one large development that Eric especially enjoyed was the ability to create custom levels for Doom II. 

To this day, Eric’s Doom files (.wad) still roam the internet, somehow miraculously not lost to the sands of time. He seemed to particularly enjoy creating deathmatch levels and would encourage users reading the .readme files for his levels to email him and play with him. 

Creating these levels for Doom was a passion project for Eric. He would work carefully on his wads, even going as far to create his own monster death animations. While it’s very easy to create and distribute modifications for most games today, this was an impressive feat in the mid-late 1990s. Computers and access to the internet was still hitting the homefront, albeit in a massive boom. As technology flourished in the home, Eric found a means to channel his creativity. 

In the infamous “U.A.C. Labs” level, Eric created two fast-paced levels that incorporate jump-scares, plot-twists, and lots of action. He nearly overloaded one of the areas with a spawn of 150+ some monsters that is triggered by the player coming too close to a key that’s required to access the next area. Eric was very proud of this particular level, writing in the .readme: …This one took a damn long time to do, so send me some bloody credit man!...Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels. You may NOT change a damn thing with this WAD, if you do, I will blow you up. And it will be cool.

Clearly, Eric was interested in protecting the level’s artistic integrity. This was work he took a great deal of pride in. Eric was described as being interested in pursuing a career in digital development by Brooks, who thought it was feasible he may end up as a videogame designer. 

What was it about Doom that Eric enjoyed so much? 

For starters, the game was paramount in its offering of gore, metal music, and gameplay. Doom was nonstop action with intriguing stories that could be followed along in both game and book. It is my theory that Eric enjoyed high-paced, high-action activities to stimulate a mind he was not entirely comfortable being alone with. This was also a world in which Eric could control – he could smite down the monsters in his path and he knew what lay around every corner. This may be considered a form of escapism, which is not necessarily new behavior in teenagers. Interestingly, however, there are multiple studies that have been conducted specifically observing the video game escapism phenomenon.

During periods of heightened psychological distress and escapism, the individual increases the amount of online activity, video game play-time, and gambling frequency (Jouhki, Savolainen, Sirola, & Oksanen, 2022). These three behaviors are specifically intriguing as they all provide forms of distraction.

Have you ever been to a casino? There are no windows, therefore, there is no sense of the passage of time. You are inundated by flashing lights, loud sounds, bright colors, and excitement. I once found myself with a drink in hand, sitting at a digital slot machine with interesting animations and upbeat music. It was a penny slot, but I won $20 on my first try. Next thing I knew, my friend and I had spent 5 fast hours playing slots, digital blackjack, and having the time of our lives. I ended up only losing $10 in the end. 

Casinos are intended to be a distracting environment that draws in the consumer and traps them for hours of endless stimulation. This is the same idea applied to video games, which are intended to provide hours of entertainment, something humans are constantly in search of. For example, small rodents do not require a television. While providing pet rodents with enrichment is undoubtedly very healthy for them, their enrichment simulates foraging, which is their biological purpose. Humans, now more than ever, rely on entertainment from every angle. It is especially difficult for those going through a psychological hardship to not stimulate their minds. Rather, it can be easier to avoid and escape the difficult and, often, intrusive thoughts. Psychological distress and a method to avoid dealing with such troubles creates the perfect storm within an emotionally unintelligent and unequipped teenage boy.

Eric spending hours building a new level in Doom was simply a way to ease the passage of time. Controlling and manipulating the environment may have provided a sense of control that was not otherwise found in everyday life. In addition to this, Eric understood Doom better than he was capable of understanding his emotions. 

To Eric, Doom symbolized something he was not: powerful, strong, and capable. In the basement tapes, Eric and Dylan explain their murderous motivations. Eric references his favorite game: “It’s gonna be like fucking Doom man; after the bombs explode.”

I often argue against the claim that video games were to blame for Eric’s violent behavior and plans despite this evidence. Longitudinal studies have proven that video games do not influence violent crime or behavior. After a 2-year study on Singapore youth, it was concluded that 27 hours of gameplay per day would be required to see any clinical effects or behavioral changes due to violent video games (Ferguson and Wang, 2019). In Eric’s own words, he was fighting himself to separate from his moral compass in order to follow through with the plan he and Dylan had been concocting. In order to do this, he began to think of their plan like it was another Doom level he was crafting. Video games may not be the direct cause of Eric’s violence, but I do believe he used them to justify his violence (to himself).

It was also during this time that the social internet was booming. WebChat Broadcasting System (WBS) and American Online (AOL) began the excitement of site hosting and chatrooms. Personal profiles encouraged a space for teenagers like Eric to freely share their thoughts and interests and connect with others on a scale that had not yet been seen before. Eric took an extremely strong liking to the new social sphere he’d discovered and created multiple AOL profiles and webpages.

Eric even created a webpage to host a series of “Jo Mamma” anti-jokes, crediting himself, Dylan, and Zack Heckler under their respective screen names Reb, VoDkA, and KiBBZ. One of the jokes on their site read: Jo mamma so fat she doesnt even look at the nutrition value tables on the food boxes she eats.....she just buys them and eats them.....cause shes fat...JJJEEYAAAAAA!!!!

Much like people today sharing private thoughts on Facebook or Twitter, Eric was sharing his private thoughts on his own websites. Ranging from “jo mamma” jokes to death threats, Eric didn’t hesitate over-sharing every thought he had on his personal blog. 

Online oversharing is an extremely new and modern communicative phenomenon. The scale at which humans are now able to communicate is unprecedented and, frankly, not something humans were ever equipped to be able to do. Eric’s internet presence feels like a primitive version of how a teenager today would dump their opinions and ideas onto Twitter.

On these blogs, Eric would share self-described “missions” in which he and Dylan would test homemade pipe bombs. He described lists of things he hated, desires to kill others, and people he hated. As we have already discussed, Eric would also make mention of Brooks Brown. 

Eric would also describe fantasizing breaking into Brooks’s home and urinating on him and his family members and would also, unprompted, share Brooks’s phone number in a “mission” post. Eric would share Brooks’s number online on multiple occasions:

…This mission was also liquor free as a result of this person named Brooks Brown (phone number) who tried to narc on us.

A reason he might have shared such tenacious things online was to seek the thrill of seeing what he could publicly get away with or attention from outsiders. Eric might have enjoyed attention from any angle, be it support for his ideals or shock. This attention, no matter where it came from, would still feed his ego. Eric wanted people to see and he didn’t care what they thought.

Studies have shown that individuals who post their own photos or private messages to personal blogs are attempting to construct their desired public identity (Jung, Song, & Vorderer, 2012). As Eric shared more and more deeply personal thoughts, he was further crafting the public Doom-esque image of himself he wanted others to see.

Eric also displayed a troubling tendency to overshare online. Have you ever scrolled on your social media timelines and found a post that was just unsettlingly personal and wondered, Why on Earth would anyone want to share that publicly? 

The tendency to overshare just stems from an overall need for attention. Social media provides a very easy way to continuously farm serotonin. Consistently sharing ideas and thoughts into a space where others can very easily validate them can almost serve as catharsis for a large amount of people. However, oversharing on social media has actually been discovered to have a direct association with anxiety issues, problematic social media use, and attention-seeking behaviors (Shabahang, Shim, Aruguete, & Zsila, 2022). 

I theorize that Eric was mainly searching for attention with each new entry he put forth onto the internet. This was a teenager who had been deprived of the right kinds of attention and would seek to push boundaries in order to get it. His posts were also indicative of his declining mental state. As his posts became darker and darker, it became clear that this was not only Eric’s outlet for gaining attention, but in some areas had evolved into his personal massacre planner.

What would prompt someone to write such horrible things? Why did Eric feel this way? Why did he claim to hate the world? What about his life left him and Dylan feeling like they “had no other choice?” I theorize that Eric projected his loneliness and lack of meaningful relationships onto the rest of the world. After all, how could any of this be his fault? In his mind, something must have been terribly wrong with him to be rejected by everyone.

Why was he so angry? Truly, we can see that Eric’s anger was displaced. I theorize that Eric blamed the world that felt like it had betrayed him so many times for his shortcomings. His self-esteem was incredibly low and he was poor at maintaining friendships. From time to time, he was targeted by bullies and felt like an outsider. Rejected children often react aggressively and underestimate how disliked they are by their peers. 

Numerous witness statements describe a distaste or distrust of Eric. One incident after another, people found Eric unapproachable. He kept mutual friends with Dylan, but it’s most likely he was more Dylan’s friend in the circle than he was anyone else’s.

TL;DR:

Playing Doom and creating .wads for the game was a form of escapism for Eric; he could create a world he was in control of

Escapism damages an individual's ability to solve emotional problems; it's not a relief, it's merely "putting off" the problem the individual must solve without teaching any healthy coping mechanisms

Eric was crafting an image of himself that he wanted others to perceive; someone who was strong, badass, in control, and took no names...all of which he did not truly think he was. Eric knew he was just an average teenage boy and he hated it

Eric needed attention from anyone he could find, whether or not those accolades be positive or negative. He was pushing his boundaries to see what he could get away with; to see what he could feel

dog cafe dates. the excitement he has when he sees multiple dogs running to him. seungcheol hadn’t touched his dessert when tapped your shoulder, “yn look,” he whispers to you when you see a dog in his lap, sleeping peacefully. and wow, it makes your heart melt, “do you want to feed it?” you give him a snack for the dog, the dog immediately jumping at the sight of it. looking at the dog who is licking seungcheol’s fingers, it would definitely remind you of his dog kkuma. seungcheol would hold your hand as both of you would talk about pets. this date was definitely such a serotonin boost for seungcheol and you would know that he might visit this café more often.

yoon jeonghan

lego building dates. “flower lego set?” with music filling the room, you and jeonghan would have different things to build, “there’s so many blocks…” you mumble to yourself as you look at jeonghan who’s calmly working on his lego set. “i finished the other flower,” jeonghan would always tell you when he’s finished with each pieces. each lego building with jeonghan will never be awkward, his hums with the music and the sound of clicking of legos, this date with him is always calming. as both of you finally finish building the lego set, he would smile as he places his flower bouquet lego set next to your orchid lego set. “let’s build a castle next,” he jokes, making you playfully slap his shoulder.

hong joshua

pottery dates. pottery has become one of joshua’s many hobbies, and he thought maybe he could show off his neat skills. “you’re doing amazing yn! love the handle of the cup,” joshua would compliment you doing the little fixes of your cup, joshua would also try to help you out with your cup, hands touching, “here, so you do this…” he quietly says as he guides your hands, smoothing out the clay. even when he’s focused on painting his plate, you would see him stealing glances at you. you’re painting stars and (◠‿◠) in your cup, which joshua would notice and give you the same eye smile. both of you would place your finished products in the coffee table and place paper flowers in the cup.

picnic dates. “okay, three, two, one” as junhui removes the blindfolds, you are welcome with the morning light, and junhui’s warm smile. wine glass are filled with refreshments as you both share stories and just enjoy each other’s company, you also take pictures of junhui from time to time. playing with junhui’s hair as he’s resting his head on your lap, he looks at you with eyes that are too much for your heart to handle. “question, do you love me?” he asks you, even though he already knows what you’re going to answer. with all your heart, you love wen junhui.

kwon soonyoung

amusement park dates. the atmosphere is filled with energy and screams of both kids and adults. both of you hold hands after a fun go-kart ride, “maybe we could grab something to eat,” you mention before soonyoung goes to a full stop before running to the large rollercoaster “let’s go ride that rollercoaster!” as soonyoung drags you closer to the ride, you feel a pit on your stomach, seeing the large loops and hearing the loud screams of the people. the ride would be shaky as you’re taking deep breaths, you look at soonyoung who’s telling you how much he loves you and how he’s going to miss you and everyone, you begin to become teary eyed, not because of soonyoung saying he loves you, but because you’re almost at the drop.

jeon wonwoo

videogame dates. so many games to choose from, maybe switch games, or maybe stories with storylines. “we could play bread and fred,” you mention as wonwoo looks it up curiously. wonwoo’s room could be filled with screams, seeing your own character literally face plant would be the most funniest and stressful feeling you have ever felt. “if we jump at the same time–ah AHH,” wonwoo screams as his character accidentally falls with you. but at the same time it could be filled with tears. as you tear up from playing a sad game, wonwoo would wipe your tears away, cuddling with you.

lee jihoon

sleepover dates. “it looks so pretty,” jihoon looks at your bright smile at the pillow fort that he made for you. there would be bunch of snacks laid out neatly and the tv is airing one of jihoon’s favorite anime (what a nerd). as jihoon rambles about the beautiful gem that is cardcaptor sakura, he looks over to you sleeping, as much as he wants to watch you sleep, how dare you sleep on his essay. you jolt awake, feeling a bit of pain on your forehead. “i haven’t finished talking and here you are sleeping,” jihoon says as he steals the blanket from you. “it’s too cold!” you get closer to jihoon, cuddling close to him. “i’m too tired for this..” you say which makes jihoon laugh, “yeah, i’ll tell you about it tomorrow, just get some sleep,” you look at jihoon with tired eyes before saying quietly, “goodnight..”

xu minghao

dinner dates. “you look handsome tonight darling,” minghao smiles before gently holding your face and kissing your lips. the mood of your home is romantic, rose scented candle is lit and piano is quietly playing in the background. minghao would tell stories of his family and many more you haven’t learned about. clinking your glasses, minghao shuffles in his seat before giving you a small box. “i thought you might like this…” as you open the box, you find a small silver necklace, decorated beautifully. minghao smiles when you give him a tight embrace.

kim mingyu

shopping dates. mingyu is literally going to drag you around each shop that catches your eye, like would notice you would be eyeing at an outfit at the window before mingyu is just casually saying, “wanna buy it?”. even with the tags in your outfit mingyu would immediately be taking pictures you as if you are an actual model. “yn, what do you think of my fit?” don’t forget to give him compliments when he comes out of that dressing room looking stylish. “i think this ring looks pretty on you,” mingyu shows you a lovely ring before sliding it on your pointer finger, see now you guys have matching rings.

lee seokmin

joyride dates. seokmin would blast the speakers with his favorite songs, having a fun time just driving around. “can i press the horn?” seokmin at first would look at you confused as you are unbuckling your seatbelt, BEEP BEEP, it would go quiet before seokmin would burst out laughing. you guys would have food bought from mcdonalds and park at some empty parking space. “stop stealing my fries!” seokmin slaps your hand away. you guys would stargaze at the sky, taking a sip of your drinks. “isn’t the sky beautiful tonight?” he looks at you curiously, before thinking about what to answer. “yes. you’re beautiful tonight,” he answers, as he gives your hand a tight squeeze.

boo seungkwan

arcade dates. as soon you guys would walk in, there’s so many things to do in this bustling arcade, should you and seungkwan shoot some hoops? play fighting games? you find a thriller shooting game, taking him as he says, “wait! what if we actually die..!?”. after trying to save seungkwan from a bunch of zombies, you notice seungkwan’s eyes sparkle, the claw machine has a stuffed bear that has the vibes of seungkwan…? “UGH! THIS CLAW MACHINE IS RIGGED!” seungkwan sighs in frustration as he looks at his game card, he has one more try. looking at you gives him a bit of hope, as he looks at the toy, carefully, it drops. you and seungkwan scream in excitement, quickly grabbing the bear, seungkwan looks at you before giving you a quick kiss.

ice skating dates. vernon was always the type to try out new activities and this one was another one on his bucket list, “woah, woah,” the cool air brushes against your face as you slowly put your skates on the ice ground. vernon, of course is easily gliding on the ice rink. he would try to help you get used to skating, though it usually causes both of you to slip on the ground. “vernon, don’t think i could do it anymore…” you tell him, “ai, come on get up, get up,” he takes your hand, pulling you up. “let’s take things slow, ‘kay?” vernon holds your hand, as both of you carefully move around the rink. though there was a bit of shaking and nervousness from you, vernon is willing to take things slow for you.

beach dates. “chan! how do i look?” ‘wow, can i marry you right now?’ is what chan would say to you, but he can’t form any other response but just “wow,”. you and chan would collect sea shells, looking the most prettiest one and showing it to each other, “mine looks prettier,” you say, “no! mine is better!” chan retaliates. other cute things you guys would do, hand holding while walking along the shore. it’s sweet and all until would suddenly push you close to the water, falling in the process. “you little shit!” chan laughs at your predicament, “wait yn! no AH!” you grab chan into the water getting him soaked. “now we’re even,” you grin as chan laughs, tackling you.

When I started the astrology course I found out that you can be a researcher in the area and you can publish official works on any topic and here I am, already training for that. The logical thought behind this post was: we always liked games, when the first decks were produced it was crazy, so I encompassed all the planets for this. But of course I had some focal points, which were: Mercury talks about digital communication and logical reasoning; Mars speaks of sports and competitive activities; Uranus rules over electronics and gadgets; Neptune speaks of fantasy and imagination; 5th house is connected to all hobbies and 11th to technology and the online world. In the signs I focused on Aquarius, Gemini and Aries, but everyone can be included in this as well as the planets.

Neptune/Moon in the 5th house, Jupiter in 9th house, Cancer and Sagittarius placements may enjoy story games, with deeper characters they can relate to and become emotionally involved with the story. Suggested Games: Spiritfarer, The Last of Us.

Venus in the 11th house, like games that allow socialization and that everyone can have fun together: Suggested Games: Fall Guys, Mario Party.

Mercury in the 3rd and 11th house, likes games that allow interaction with other people but also allows you to lie/bluff in games to win: Suggested Games: Among Us.

Mars in 5th/11th house may like farm games. Suggested Games: Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher.

Mars in the 1st house, may enjoy games that allow them to express their individuality and create their own character. Sun/Pluto in the 8th house may enjoy activities that allow them to explore their own transformation and evolution, such as playing videogames that involve role-playing or creating and developing a character. Suggested games: Fallout, Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077.

Pluto/Scorpio in the 11th may like games with replayability since when they like a game it stays the same for several hours. Suggested games: Monster Hunter, Hades.

Sun/Venus in 5th may like music games. Suggested games: Project Diva, Just Dance.

Sun/Mercury in 5th also like games that allow them to create and use their creativity. Suggested games: Animal Crossing, Minecraft, Okami.

Uranus/Sun in 1st/11th likes activities that involves social groups and allow them to connect with others in a laid-back way. Suggested games: Stopots.

Saturn in the 10th house may enjoy activities that challenge them to improve and achieve mastery, Suggested games: Dark Souls.

Lilith in 10/11th house in women it can show that this girl has always been interested in games, but since she is a woman, she is not allowed to play because it is not seen as a woman thing (10th) or that she suffered so much hate for being a woman and playing online (11th) that she may play alone. Suggested Games: any single player that you like, really, just play girl.

Sun/Jupiter in the 9th may like open world/sandbox games where they can explore and see new horizons. Sun/Neptune in 12th house enjoy games that allow them to escape reality and tap into their creative and imaginative side. Suggest games: Death Stranding, Journey.

Mars/Sun/Mercury in Leo/Aries may like games that require quick reflexes and decision-making, they also like competitive games where there can be a number one. Suggest games: Mario Kart, .Forza.

Venus/Moon dominant have preference for games that have rich, immersive environments and a strong aesthetic. Suggested games: Gris.

Mercury dominant may like strategic thinking and problem-solving, such as puzzle games or strategy games. Suggest games: Alice Madness Returns, Portal 2.

Sun/Lilith/Moon in 8th house/Scorpio may like games that can shake with their emotional, talks about taboos and dense topics and changes their worldview. Suggested games: Disco Elysium.

Gemini/Virgo in 5th/11th house may like games that you need to quickly manage something or somewhere, like cooking simulators. Suggest games: Lemon Cake.

First off, I think it's a manor instead of a mansion. Mansions are simply big houses located normally on neighbourhoods while manors are often times isolated, are bigger and have some land around them with maybe some other buildings in the property. There are three main floors, along with a basement and an attic. The first floor has a big ass entrance, a living room, kitchen, dinning room, nurse's office and storage, while the second one is almost exclusively for bedrooms, most of which have suites (but there is a community bathroom as well on all three main floors). The third floor has the proxy's bedrooms, Slenderman's room and a library. Every bedroom comes with a bed and a closet, but everything else the creeps have to either make or acquire in some way by themselves (Sally is an exception). Everyone works for and obeys Slenderman and in return receive clothes, food and a place to live. The only creep that doesn't live there is Jane. Here's some bedroom headcanons:

JEFF: A mess, lives in the second floor. The walls were shitly painted black by him and you can see several missing spots. There are some band and horror movie posters on the walls and you can barely see the floor because of the amount of clothes and trash scattered around. His blinds are always closed and they are that thick type that doesn't let any sunlight get through. Deadass lives like a vampire.

BEN: Another mess, also in the second floor. There are snacks and food wrappings all around the floor and several videogames posters on the wall, along with a pro gamer computer set complete with a LED keyboard, mouse and headset, also a big ass television. His walls are a yellowish green, also with some missing spots.

TOBY: Lives in the third floor, his walls are beige and his bed covers are a brownish orange flannel. Windows always open to let some fresh air in. It's filled with several trinkets he stole from his victims and actually looks kind of aesthetic pleasing if you ignore how unorganized it is, kinda like those indie bedrooms you see on Pinterest. Has a few house plants scattered around, like cactus and succulents, nothing too difficult to take care of (he doesn't have much of a green thumb).

EYELESS JACK: Lives in the basement, since he uses the freezers in there to store his food. Not very decorated, since he spends most of his time in the nurse's office, save from the blood (if you can call that decoration).

LAUGHING JACK: Lives in the attic. Has several kids toys he steals from his victims, all of which he DIY'd to be black and white like him. His old music box is on a prestigious self on top of his bed.

MASKY: Pretty organized, lives on the third floor. Mostly consists of brownish colors and tones. Has one of those clothes racks where he keeps his flannels and some old bands posters on the walls. Nothing too fancy. Makes his bed every morning.

HOODIE: Lives in the third floor. Kinda messy, but in a fancy way. Has several notebook pages torn off with song lyrics he writes sitting around, along with manuscript papers. His guitar is normally resting by his bed and is decorated with stickers. Masky makes fun of him for it, but he has fairy lights.

BLOODY PAINTER: Lives in the second floor, but has an exclusive art studio in the property outside of the manor that looks like a little shack. His walls are white, but covered in paint splashes, so they're very colorful, same thing with the floor. Has many canvases laying around, filled and empty, as well as acrylic paints and papers with random sketches and thumbnails.

X-VIRUS: Lives in the third floor. His walls are black and with several shelves, all with test tubes, flasks and beakers filled with strange and glowing chemicals inside of them. Has LED lights on the corners of the ceiling, always shining green. Has every lab equipment you could think of, from microscopes to bunsen burners and magnetic stirrers.

CLOCKWORK: Lives in the second floor. The most aesthetically pleasing room. Has tarot tapestry hanging from the walls and ceiling as well as those fake vines. Her walls are filled head to toe with drawings she makes herself, also those aesthetic posters with plants and butterflies and such. Speaking of, she has fake paper butterflies hanging on the ceiling. Uses monster cans as flower pots. Has a ukulele sitting in the corner that she gave up on learning how to play.

KATE THE CHASER: Left her room the way she found it, all white walls and a single closet and a bed with no covers. Barely ever steps inside of it. It's located on the third floor.

NINA THE KILLER: Lives in the second floor. Her room genuinely looks like some kind of early 2000's emo parade. Walls covered entirely in band posters (especially the main singers) and an unholy amount of plushies, mostly sanrio ones. Has a shelf only for her Monster High dolls.

SALLY: Second floor. Any little girl's dream bedroom. Fairy lights, pink walls, an insane amount of plushies and dolls as well as a dollhouse. Has some of her drawings pinned on the walls.

LANE: Third floor. Grey walls with some band and horror movies/series posters, especially Supernatural, along with some random sketches pinned. A lot of plants sitting around on the shelves, floor and windowsill. Windows always open. Their bed has black covers and a hand-saw fox plushie laying by the pillow.

Im joking tho. Not about my CJPH theory, that is very much real but I'm not forcing you to read it lol

However if you're curious, my inane rambles are further down :}

[Long Rant Post Below]

Okay so I'm gonna start with the basic idea I got it from; that being Nerd. Nerd already foreshadowed the THDPH & the WWPH [Even down to the last song for each of them] Not only that, but he references the stuff hes done in the past as well with a break/pause inbetween.

[This is what I mean]

The first three being all stuff he already did. BDG with Pocket, Tally Hall with Vol.1 & then Cage by Tim Minchin being the start the power hours.

The next two being the power hours he would do after this song [Memento Mori & Charlie's Inferno-Will Wood & That Handsome Devil]. But those are the only songs he would reference in Nerd, leaving no more clues as to what the last one would be. The only thing left in it is the video game references & Stairway to Heaven in the ending. [Which oddly enough also fit the pattern in a way. StH being about dying and the afterlife like Memento Mori & Chonny's Inferno and the video game references being all covers he made on his old channel]

While the VG refs could be a hint at a Videogame or Toby Fox Power Hour, I think at most, if its a clue at all, hinting at the next thing he does is recovering old songs.

Next, a couple of his songs reference his past stuff. Fine, I'm Fine has a good amount of lines that vaguely refer back to songs from the before [heres a post that goes more into it that's pretty cool!!]. And more importantly Dear Machine references Pocket, Dream (Outro from Calamity) & wings of wax. Pocket being later used in Nerd & the mention of Icarus coming back in Art. Not only that, but the voice in the very end Thermodynamic Lawyer is the exact same [if not very close to] voice filter/effect he uses in Dear Machine. Even down to the British accent he does in it. [Tho it is fairly normal for a music artist to reference their older songs in their music so it could be nothing]

Speaking of Dear Machine tho, quick thing to add about it is that it shows he not against covering his own songs. While yea technically its just a different version of Ode of the Cog, DM,HtC in a way counts as a cover of OotC. Same goes for bargaining/compromise & The Ballad of Dr. Jekyll.

Another idea with a CJPH is that in the CJFS discord theres a "Question of the Day" Channel. Where, as the name says, a Mod or Helper will ask a CJ related question & everyone can give their idea/imput on it. For Day 100, as a special fun lil thing, they asked Chonny if he wanted to give a question for that day. His question being:

And yes he does say that he doesnt plan on doing anything like that in future [if he even were to do it]. I fully believe he wasn't lying there & honestly I never saw him redoing any song ever until I had the idea of a CJPH [aside from stuff like Spring and a Storm & Storm and a Spring obviously]. But this is the best idea I could ever see him doing that. Also that question was from early August so a fair amount of time has passed. Whether thats enough time to equal "at least in the near future at all" I have no clue, but it is a thought.

One of my last points [that I remember atm lol] is on how he would end the power hours. Cos like, while yea he does whatever he wants & doesn't rlly follow what anyone says or asks [which I 100% agree with & is completely valid btw], I'd imagine he'd still want to end the PHs with a bang. Which is why I originally didnt think the recent one would be Will Wood.

He's stated a couple of time that hes one of his favorite artist & he definitely knows that a huge chunk of his fan base listen to WW as well. So why not end with that? Why not end with one of the most requested artist people wanted him to cover? Why wouldn't he end with a power hour of the artist that was his #1 on his Spotify Wrapped? What else could he do after that? Well maybe he'd go with his #2 artist? WHICH IS JUST HIMSELF BBYYYY

So it's very likely he's had himself play multiple times in a row & had a "Chonny Jash Power Hour".

Of course theories are just theories so there's always the chance I'm wrong & just insane. And again he does whatever he wants whenever he wants so who knows what it'll be. I just think id be an interesting idea for him to do.

As for how a Chonny Jash Power Hour would look? Maybe each song being a cover of a song from a past album or single? I'd imagine one from the before. & Covered in Discontent [maybe Gothic Whore?]. Like remake Pocket since its been referenced so much, tho that's still just a BDG cover so who knows. the before. would be interesting just to see how his perspective has changed since he originally wrote those songs. Gothic Whore he already has 2 songs that have a story version & a him version so I can see him doing another.

I HIGHLY doubt he'd do anything related to Vol.1 as its his completely separate thing & he doesn't rlly wanna touch any song that's TH/HMS related until whenever he feels like starting Vol.2 [which is valid lol]. If anything I could maybe see like TWWAY, Special or maybe Greener? Or go a different route with the og I'm Gonna Win or like a more outta the box one with like Just a Friend [only cos be did a 20 second "cover" of it in Mucka Blucka]. Again, I do not see him touching anything Vol.1 related but still something to entertain ig? [4th TME cover; The Chonny Electric when/j]

Tho maybe he'd just remake songs that he he fully made [like the before. or Gothic Whore], since those are more of actual Chonny Jash songs rather than the others just being covers. Would be very cool to maybe see a remake of some of his Majora's Mask song tho [no this isn't me coping over HEAL not being on spotify shush]. Or maybe he'd do songs from his old stuff like Don't Take it Personally? [also not me coping over wanting that song on Spotify too]

Idk these are just my thoughts on the idea of a CJPH [or even a Can of Soup Power Hour/j]. Either way I am gonna say idc what he'd do, BDG or Streetlight Manifesto are my other guesses, but anything he makes is always rll good & fun so I'll be interested to see whatever it is.

<GENERAL NAP HEADCANONS>

-Noodle the best sleep schedule out of all of them, and gets the most good sleep out of all of them though thats not saying much

-Even if she has a good sleep schedule she likes naps

-Though as a kid it was almost impossible to get her to nap if she wasn't exhausted, though this is not to say she didn't like to nap

-Noodle just had too much energy as a kid, but she was a kid and being in a band is exhausting so she did take naps usually after performances, recording, ect.. (In a interview they had talked about something like this but I can't remember witch one)

-But as she got older she found appreciation for them way more then when she was a kid

-Noodle is one of those people who can fall asleep almost on command lucky :'[

-Noodle tends to nap to movies

<With a S/O headcanons>

-Like I said she likes to nap to movies- and even better she likes to cuddle with her S/O and to fall asleep to a movie

-Noodle also loves falling asleep on her S/O or having her S/O falling asleep on her, because she finds having her S/O play with her hair makes it 100% easier to fall asleep, and she finds it comforting to have her S/O lay on her

-Noodle has no shame she will fall asleep anywhere with her S/O- cuz no one's gonna say shit

-She loves cuddling but if its like time to go to bed- she will cuddle till she falls asleep then in her sleep she will most likely drift to her side of bed kicking you plenty of times in the process

-She shifts a lot in her sleep with has caused a lot of problems- especially if she has an overactive dream- cuz she will karate chop you in the head or kick you in your stomach

-This doesn't really happen when you two nap together

2D

<GENERAL NAP HEADCANONS>

-While 2D gets the second most amount of sleep- he arguably has one of the worst schedules

-He is a heavy sleeper but he has a hard time sleeping in consecutive amounts of time

-This is mostly due to his migraines, he will wake up at the ass crack of dawn with the worst migraines- migraines that make it nearly impossible to fall back asleep no matter how many pain killers he takes

-So he does some some shit, like writing music, playing a videogame, or watching a zombie movie

-2D at one point in time he used to play instruments when this happens but Mudroc was drunk and near by and so happened to hear 2D playing a bit to loud for his liking- which resulted in Murdoc getting pissed and hitting 2D in the head making his migraine 10x worse (This was when they lived in the original Kong Studios)

-So instead of sleeping continously throughout the night- he tries to sleeps a bit during the night, and then just naps continously throughout the day

-Though eventually he tells his mom and he gets put on sleeping meds in the later phases (sometime after plastic beach) which makes him more peppy

-He still takes naps every once in a while, and he is still an incredibly heavy sleeper

-He smokes a Iot more before going to bed, both weed and cigarettes

<With a S/O headcanons>

-This lanky boi becomes strangely strong in his sleep occasionally

-His arms firmly hold his S/O to his body or he's just sprawled on top of his S/O

-Either way he wants to be touching his S/O in his sleep- but he does role away sometimes but will role back eventually

-He's incredibly unpredictable in his sleep- one night he may stay stil as a bored and another he may be rolling himself off the bed... so be careful, 2D's S/O has woken up with 2D's foot in their face many of times

-2D feels incredibly guilty if he wakes up his S/O when he wakes up in the middle of the night because he has a migraine

-But having a S/O that could comfort him when he has one of his mibble of the night migrains, makes him feel better

Russel

<GENERAL NAP HEADCANONS>

-Russel hardly ever naps

-Russel tries to have a consistent sleep schedule- which he achieves some what

-He tends to wake up in the middle of the night- not as often as 2D, but ever once in a while he'll wake up but won't be able to fall back asleep, so he'll will just sit in bed disgruntled

-Also he's not one of those people who can fall asleep on command

-He takes sleeping meds, he has been taking sleeping meds- like before he joind Gorillaz but he did start taking stronger meds when he joined

-When Russel does get sleep he gets pretty shitty sleep but he pushes through the day

-Even if he wanted to nap- no one IN THIS DAMN HOUSE WILL LET HIM SLEEP(this is when they lived in the original Kong Studios)

-He's either making beats, taking care of Noodle, chores, ect.. all you need to know is that he's busy

-But if we're talking phase 7 Russel- OMG he is a total fucking insomniac- he's to busy with the static, he has to hit his own leg to keep himself from passing out sometimes

-Also Noodle crawled into bed with him whenever she had a nightmare when she was a kid- she also did this with 2D but it didn't work out as much due to 2D's sleeping problems

<With a S/O headcanons>

-Russel is way more likely to take naps if he has a S/O that takes naps

For many of reasons- if his S/O is naping and he naps with them it doesn't feel like he's being as unproductive because he will be spending time with his S/O

-Russel likes to cuddle but prefers to not cuddle in when sleeping at night due to the fact he sweats a lot- and just has a higher body temperature, so cuddle can make his already high body temperature higher and make him feel uncomfortable

-Though having his S/O in bed with him does improve his sleep due to the fact having his S/O around him in most cases makes him feel more relaxed

-When Russel and His S/O cuddle he will sometimes pass out sheerly because he is just so tired

Murdoc

<GENERAL NAP HEADCANONS>

-My fucking god... this man- this fucking gremlin of a man has one of the most janky ass fucking sleep schedule- at this point can you even call it a 'schedule' with how inconsistent it is

-But that mostly only applies to pre-plastic beach

-When Murdoc becomes the old man he now is, his sleep schedule mellows out

-But before that he tends to go out and drink most of the night- come home absolutely crunked or tripping balls and would pass out somewhere random- often in the middle of the house what a great role modle

-And much like 2D he will take naps throughout the day- all various in lengths- but he usually gets pissed at 2D when 2D does the weird nap schedule thing

-But like I said, in later phases he fixes his sleep up a bit- but that doesn't mean he doesn't take naps anymore-

-Now Murdoc doesn't just take naps because he's drunk or high- but also because he's an old man now

<With a S/O headcanons>

-Murdoc's definition of nap before his S/O was just passing out because he was fucked up, but when he got a S/O who forced helped him to fix his sleep schedule- he realized he was not exactly right

-Now he passes out on his bed or the couch and not the kitchen floor

-If you are able to get this man to go to bed at night with out any form fo alcohol or medicine I commend you, for you have done the impossible

-But on a more serious note Murdoc will do a lot to avoid going to bed at night- especially when he's sober

-He hates the nightmares, the nightmares that remind him of his past- and what made him.... he hates it

-So it takes a lot of comforting on his S/O's side to get him into bed

-And Murdoc's S/O has to be ready to wake up and comfort him when he wakes up from a shitty dream- cuz its either that or he goes back to the bottle

as any good nerd, i wonder if he collects anything? maybe vinyl? it would be endearing to see him have some sort of collection and caring so much for it. then when you add to it as a birthday or christmas gift, he's just over the moon and there are way too many emotions involved for him to handle.

definitely vinyl!! icon legend @nowshesdoingitallthetime also gave me an idea about him and books about the making of his fav films and videogames and whatnot, and i can just imagine him tentatively giving you the tour of it all the first time you're at his house - also thinking of you being cutely nervous in that instance, interested but hesitant to touch things and properly look at them, and when you ask matty if you can he just smiles and softly says "of course, darling", so excited that you're taking a genuine interest in the things he likes. in terms of gift-buying... he offhandedly mentions an obscure album he wants to find a copy of, and you trawl through record shops online and in-person by yourself AND get all your music business contacts on the case looking for it, and when he calls you on christmas morning from his mum's having opened it he's close to tears, bless him. very "you remembered?" / "of course i did. i've thought of nothing else but finding this album for months" vibes; when you say that to matty, he's like "i wish i could kiss you right now. you're getting lipsed when i get back to london - if you want, that is", and you giggle like "putting lipbalm on in prep as we speak". but yeah, he's SO grateful and overwhelmed, sweet boy <3

hey, sorry if you’ve answered this before, but I am really struggling to find horror analysis yt channels that aren’t just “this is what happens in the movie and btw it’s about [generic one-word theme that is never elaborated on]”. Do you have any that you particularly like?

oh hmm well i like scaredy cats. they talk about a lot of movies i havent seen and probably wouldnt seek out on my own which i consider a plus. altho right now theyre doing a series of episode recaps for a canadian vampire police procedural so maybe not the best time to jump in if youre hoping for like newer stuff. good time to get familiar with their older videos tho i guess! or a good time to watch them talk about canadian vampire cops if youre into that!

i also am a rly big fan of nyx fears for particular more extreme horror stuff but i believe shes focusing on her music and writing rn. so again good time to catch up on her older stuff!

other than that jacob geller is excellent and has a lot of horror videogame analyses but i feel like everyone knows that. ragnarrox is also great for especially older and more overlooked horror games. night mind specifically talks about arg and horror unfiction projects but if thats something ur interested in at all you cant get much better than his videos imo.

and recently ive started watching acolytes of horror! i havent seen a lot of his stuff yet but i thought his video about so-called political horror that fears taking any actual political stance was really good and well articulated and helped me pinpoint why a lot of movies of that sort of subgenre really miss the mark for me.

So I've been replaying "Unpacking" again, and I feel like writing down my thoughts on the game, but mostly about what I like to call the "Boyfriend level". There will be spoilers for the game in this, so I will continue below the cut, and please play this game if you have the chance.

Okay, so, as many of you know, Unpacking is about you taking on the role of a girl growing up and moving house throughout her life, unpacking her belongings and filling the new space with them. And as you go, you learn more and more about our MC. Starting with her childhood bedroom, then her going to college to study illustration, and then her moving in with her roommates, who are all nerds just like her.

And then, we get to the infamous boyfriend. And even playing this for the first time, the space felt... off. Before, our MC lived in places that were filled with personal touches, colours and trinkets. The BF's place is mostly grey, hyper-modern. Of course, there are personal touches, and hints at his hobbies, like the coffee-making supplies and the collection of videogames. But it feels.. off. The things that our MC brings to this house clash with the obvious aesthetic this guy has.

Now, aesthetics aside, there is something else that made me feel frustrated and a little uncomfortable about this level. Something that many people who played this game probably noticed too, and something very familiar to those of us who date cishet men.

This man hasn't even made space for you in the house.

Like yeah, sure, there is enough room for you to put your stuff away, but many things are placed in such a way that you're forced to move things aside to make space. Like the drawers in the bedroom. Lord almighty, the drawers. Underwear and socks are strewn around inside, forcing you to rearrange it so you can put your own damn stuff in. You even need to move his clothes and damn SLIPPERS in order to put everything away neatly.

Same as the kitchen. Dude, you have more than enough cabinet space, use it?? Put your coffee supplies in one place, not all around the kitchen, and why the fuck are you using a whole drawer for two tools??

It is frustratingly familiar, mostly because the game is about you doing all the unpacking and rearranging yourself. You are already cleaning up after this man, and you haven't even fully moved in yet.

On top of that, while moving in of course means you'll have to put many of your belongings amongst his, you can't even hang up your diploma in a proper place. I mean, yeah, with the "place objects everywhere" option you could hang it in the bathroom, but you should be able to at least hang something you're proud of in the living space or the bedroom. Your drawing supplies need to be tucked away too, or lost in his things.

No wonder this girl moves back out not even two years later.

And the "moving back in with your parents" level is just.. heartbreaking. The music is sad, and you can feel the depression just oozing from this level. The photo of the boyfriend and MC has to either be hidden away or pinned to the corkboard with one pin through his face.

Luckily, the next level where she gets her very own apartment fills me with joy. Finally, there is a space you can fully embrace as your own, not a student flat you can't permanently stay in, or a place you share with others. Every room is yours to make your own, especially the studio.

And then, the girlfriend moves in.

And it's so different from when the MC moved in with her boyfriend. She's made space for her new partner, made room in the closet, and space on the bookshelves. And instead of clashing, the gf's things complement the home and tell who she is.

She graduated from some type of film school. She adores plants and cares for them a lot. She's Southern or Eastern Asian, or even a mix of both, judging from the dragon statue, the spices, and the cute tiger plush she clearly got to compliment the little piglet, either as a gift or something she got herself. There are books and a beautiful blanket in the moving boxes, and she just feels... safe.

Where I could picture the MC tiptoeing around the boyfriend's aesthetic, doing all of this unpacking by herself, the girlfriend feels like she's unpacking with us, bringing warmth and non-judgement along, making the apartment a home.

And what an ending. An actual house where both of them can be happy, where they can be who they want to be, and where their bundle of joy will be raised with love.

I love this game so much.

Just a few things my dad has said (to me) that I wanna share with you guys, feeling like some of you need 'em

- everyone is mad. Every single human is mad, some people are so mad that they create beautiful things. cars, videogames, stories, books, were all created by mad people who just had the thought of it and made it reality. Even art is made by crazy people, it's their way of showing their madness through beautiful canvas and a few lines, just like you do. We are a bunch of weirdos, so don't ever think bad of yourself for being weird or different because everybody is, most just hide their insanity or differences even if little, but you should never hide yours, not worth it, just enjoy life.

- the world's a mad place, sometimes you find the craziest of people that will end up being your friend, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, whatever the hell you want, sometimes you find people who just have their brain fused. Who just wanna annoy the shit out of people, some are even worse and end up hurting people. Watch out for the world out there, okay? Don't give up, always get up and show the world that you're not messing around. You wanna draw? Draw. You wanna make music? Make music. It doesn't matter how many people say it's useless or any of that shit, just convince yourself that it's possible, so it becomes possible.

- okay, so you're most likely neurodivergent. We just need some doctor tests to confirm it on paper, so what? We'll do the tests. But don't think it makes you any less smarter, any less likeable, creative or any less of a person for that. Being neurodivergent only means your brain works differently than others, not less than others. You're not dumb, you just work in a way most people don't understand, and that's okay. Any important people you know were neurodivergent, and they created a shit load of things that we still use and study today. Einstein for example. it doesn't matter what shit you got going on, doesn't matter, you're still the same anyway.

- you should stop being so anxious about everything, it's just a way to stress yourself out and get sick. Not worth it. Just live it easy, it's more relaxing and fun. Don't worry if you're gonna get late one time at school, don't worry if the train doesn't work or anything, don't worry. stuff happens, and most of the time it's not because of you. just relax, just stop caring about all that crap, you gotta just let it go and have fun regardless

- listen,nobody should tell you what to do, how to do, or anything. People shouldn't let you take stupid ass choices and make you have a job you don't like for the rest of your life. I let you choose to go to an art school because I know it's what you're passionate about. You wanna draw, and that's okay, you like doing that, not stopping you there. Even if you suddenly change, maybe you wanna, I don't know, do math or something, that's fine, we'll work with it. It's only about what you like to do. What you enjoy, not what others want. Who gives a shit if someone says you should be a medic because it'll get you success in life, they're wrong anyway. You'll get success in your own way anyway, you shouldn't waste your time in pleasing someone else if what you're doing is just annoying the shit out of you. Wanna go grab the garbage each morning at 6am? Do that. Wanna go and teach some kids stuff? Do that, who gives a shit, it's your life anyway. Just remember that you are your own first priority.

1. Were you named after anyone?

Was originally gonna be named Andrea after a ballerina my grandma liked! Sadly no one remembered her well, not even grandma, so I don't know much about her.

My deadname was simply just chosen bc it was easy to pronounce, as well as my chosen name Diego (it's what I would've been called had I been male), although when I chose it for myself I liked the JoJo character Diego Brando so there was some correlation there.

Funnily enough, people think I'm nicknamed Lio after the Promare character, but I hadn't met them yet.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday. At 11pm. Watching OR3O's One Piece song. It was nostalgic ok

3. Do you have kids?

Nope. There's an absurd amount of reasons I don't want them, although not a single one is because I dislike them. I've had to babysit many kids and they've all been very sweet.

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Oof, my recent sports is taking my dog for a walk. But I used to like volleyball and kickball! And reluctantly played soccer and did swimming! Sports give me a lot of anxiety and i'm not sure why.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

I do a lot of teasing and lighthearted banter that can sometimes be considered sarcasm?

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Their eyes! Or anything outstanding like cool hairstyles or visible tattoos.

With online people, I mostly recognize them by pfp or a vague mental pronunciation of their username.

Dark brown?? Or black??

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Honestly, whatever makes me think more. Unhappy endings tend to do that more though, so I guess scary movies! But of course it depends on the mood, sometimes I just want a nice story to cheer me up.

I've been told I am talented at the piano! And music in general, although most of my skills feel less like talent and more like just studying the thing.

10. Where were you born?

So I was born in the US, in Florida, but my entire family is from Costa Rica and I just happened to be born while my parents were studying abroad. I don't remember much from the US though, I came back to CR with my grandma in my first months because she was less busy than my parents, and then they came to live here again. So in my eyes I've been a true Costa Rican since always hehe

11. What are your hobbies?

Playing the piano! Also drawing sometimes (I like to color more than draw, but unless I get my hands on a coloring book I can't do that unless I draw), playing videogames (mostly RPGs and visual novels), and doomscrolling.

12. Do you have any pets?

YESSSS my beloved dog Mia!!!!!!!!!!! I love her so much, she escaped her abusive home and we found her while walking around a plaza, said hi, and she followed us home. She's been with us for 8 years now and I adore her. Reference below because how can I not show her off:

Excellent question. I forgot but I'm average if that helps!

14. Favorite subject in school?

It changed over the years, in senior year it was English because we had my favorite teacher! I knew him for years because he has a literature club I partook in, so I was very happy to have classes with him. Plus, we saw the Oresteia, which goes tremendously hard especially when your teacher geeks out about all the symbolisms.

Apart from that, computer class! We barely ever had it, and almost had it cut out entirely in senior year, but the few times we did I really enjoyed programming and practicing typing! And when we didn't do anything we could play so.

15. Dream job?

I want to make my own videogame! So I'd say a game developer, although being a part of any videogame, especially RPGs, would be a dream come true.

So... Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. My recent obsession. Let's go! I'll try to do it without significant spoilers.

Carefull, long post under the cut!

First of All. Amadeuses Kids! They grew up! UWU. They're such cute little young fireball casters. Omg, that's almost like watching your nephews grow, they feel so much like a family...

That game series has been with me since I was a child and as I remember Trine (part 1) was my first (real) videogame! And now when I play Trine 5 it cures my soul so much, right when I needed it. It's like... Has a Tolkien vibe for me. I mean in the sense that It's too fairy tail outside, it may look childish, but it has layers! I really like the plot, it hit me right in the heart and made me reflect. And I was struggling with dark thoughts on Future and Trine's perspective on the global world's problems made me smile and hope for the best... Really thank you, trine team, you're awesome :D Where there's people who share your concerns and put it in the work of art like that and make witty satire on it that's precious. I have returned some of my faith in humanity now. 

Well, maybe some people may not see what I saw or just won't feel such weight, cause my recent experience made me stump on it, so well I need to say that plot in general... Dramatic. I was impressed How it manages to balance at the edge of magical fairy tail and life drama (OR that's again me and my pains. Anyway...) STRONG twists and things at stake. Heroes encounter both global threat and personal challenges (all three of them, but poor wizard, he got it the most. But he's so silly old man, I'm crying) (Zoya, my girl, I love you...) (Pontius... You're just perfect, I'm proud of you, example of a real knight :D)

Character writing is amazing, they REALLY feel alive.

For example: Amadeus marries a woman after he became a hero and throughout the whole game series he mentions that, then he mentions their kids and, like i mentioned now, now we see how they grew up! And in fifth's game due to plot he misses his triplets greatly and in the forest three heroes meet a fox with three little foxes... And Amadeus is like "oh no, I'm a terrible father" 😭

And there's a lot of cute normal or giant animals in the game series, we're helping them and then they come up and help us. Such lightsome game, I can't/// Those animals... Uwu/// (Just a little detail but I wanted to mention that...)

What I like else about the narrative: humor :D For demonstration I just let Pontius to show himself:

I. Worship. Those. Artists. They are geniuses. Screenshots speak for themself, I guess.

Design, artwork and effects... No, I can't describe it in words, again, I just pray on it. So damn enchanting. I literally dream to be like those artists who work on this series. (And that's a threat) When I think of it, well, maybe THAT magic inspired me to be who I am right now...

Magic observatory where's pictures of butterflies there and there... ARE YOU DESNAN, WIZARDS???

And those just killed me. Episode in a dark place with the sudden rays of hope... I was just. Aaaah... So beautiful both by art and location's story.  Replica of the second screenshot: "It's rare that ghosts are on our side. Usually we and undead are not on good terms." What did I tell you? :D Tolkien vibe!

So who got through my post till the end... Please, please get to know those game series. I didn't mention it at all above but It's also a genius of gameplay. It's a platformer with (some) fighting and (a lot of) puzzles. Also. It's thrice (:D) fun in coop.

AND. Music. Won't say much about it either but It's a genius magical masterpiece. I guarantee you: Trine soundtrack will find its way to your playlist.

P. S. Will I do fanart on trine? Maybe... Maybe... You know, I just have that strange thing: some stories are "sacred" in my brain so I can't Just sit and draw cause I'm constantly stressed out if it turns out bad or worse: not how I imagined it. Same with Tolkien books, btw. In fandom since childhood, (if you count that, if not - from adolescents and first steps to the internet) and no single drawing. (not single real drawing at least)

But! I have Nine Parchments fanart :D

Oooh. And. I have THEM in frame. Art from my friend who gifted it to me at postcrossing some time after we played Trine 4 (and then the whole game series) together! It was such a pleasant surprise!
