whoops, i almost forgot about the star trek update. tuesday we watched tng's "firstborn" and "bloodlines" and last night we watched ds9's "the wire" (honorific)

i was actually bracing for this one to suck ass bc everyone says worf is a bad dad. and i dont think he is!!! like, it doesn't come as easily to him as it does to sisko, and he sometimes forgets to be gentle or kind with alexander because he's so laser focused on how things SHOULD be he forgets to the importance of taking others' feelings into account, but that's how he is ALL THE TIME with EVERYONE not just his kid. considering the circumstances i'd say he's doing well

before we get started, GREAT cameo from the duras sisters. i was initially really annoyed with their tit windows but im becoming rather fond

i really liked "the family protector guy "k'mter" at first because he said all the right things to alexander...like, it's scary not being able to defend yourself, etc. then he also was a dick to alexander and i was really exasperated...but then he IS alexander so that totally fixes it. he's angry with himself and conflicted and just wants a HUG FROM HIS DAD and that FIXED it!!! like when he said "nobody will look at you and see a human you are alone on this ship" initially it felt like racism but it being like, not quite self-loathing but just bitter experience...that's actually so clever

this is the only episode where they brought up alexander's mom kind of hating ""klingon stuff"" and how that could possibly have negatively impacted him and it only got two lines of dialogue but still. i think it's really damning that she hated her own heritage and also brought her kid up to hate it and now he's sort of out here...pretending to be human, almost, to the point where he doesn't want to participate in hsi own culture or even bond with his own father (a klingon). like it sucks so bad for him

i was afraid that the plot twist would be "k'mter talks alexander into wanting to be a warrior after all just when worf realizes he doesn't have to be" which would have been sad but a real "oh shit" of an ending. mixed feelings about them not doing that but i understand why they wanted to properly wrap things up for s7

i almost forgot but rare w for picard for bending the rules a little bit to give worf time to go to the klingon festival with his kid. credit where it is due

like, the fact that he can lie about it even while under significant distress.........king. like you could say oh that's the true one because that's the one where he was physically unwell but he also referred to "elim" in that one which gives it the ring of a potential falsehood

julian forgiving him anyway, even after all the horrible stuff he said, even after being physically ATTACKED (WHICH WAS SCARY!!! i was scared of him!!!!!) for "whatever he did," just because garak said "i need to know someone forgives me"..........AUGHGHGH JESUS CHRIST

THE FACT THAT HE WON'T TALK ABOUT IT. he won't tell even US what he did. eliot spencer core actually. i am beside myself about it all

unironically i kinda hate how sonic feels and acts in newer media (specifically prime and a bit of idw)

rant/tangent time wooo

note: might be a bit unorganized due to this being on my old azz galaxy s7 edge lol

alright. So i just finished reading the idw sonic comics allll the way up to the the most recent side comic, Scrapnik Island #4.

So like, while reading the main idw comic i kinda felt like.. sonic was just kinda a dick near the end for no reason??? Like yeah hes mostly fine in the beginning but once we get to the point where people put these high expectations on him and hes basically under a lot of pressure (which i understand) but i feel like the way they are characterizing him is just :

"haha sonic doesnt care and acts on inpulse like a dick and doesnt recognize the shit hes done and is basically a little shit lmao he also is just kinda and idiot and seems to forget things on the basis of when it most convient for him !!!"

i didnt really feel much of it in idw until the later chapters, but it started to get prevalent when i was reading these in between me watching Sonic Boom. (The Show, which is my favorite outside of AOSTH.)

Now personally, i think Sonic Boom's charactasation of Sonic is probably the best one we have had in a long while. Although its a comedy, i like how sonic is aware of what's going on and takes into account what his friends are suggesting.

Like the episode where he does something that affects a citizen of the town, (minds going blank on what the towns name is lmao) and when his friends (and the other villagers) let him join the whole "talk about our feelings" club thing,

at first, he opposes the idea of apologizing saying that calling people "people" isnt bad, (ik this was played for jokes it still supports my argument.) they encourage him to recognize that what he did was wrong,, and they tell him to go apologize, and he does, albeit with a bit of "ok fine i admit it pls go away" but atleast he doesnt outright deny it or seem stupid for trying to do so and failing.

Thats my issue with prime, sonic just seems like an oblivious idiot who doesnt recogize how to read the damn room and listen to his friends when it matters most. He acts like a tiny child, which doesnt make sense to me, because hes been through adventures and times similar to this and for most of the newer media they dont wanna recognize sonics shortcomings and upbringings as a character at all??????? Like i think frontiers got it right with the story, and sonic who understood what was going on and stopped every once in a while to smell the roses and help his friends!

But in newer media outside of frontiers, it seems like sonic doesnt know how to smell the fucking roses every once in a while and stop thinking on impulse, like they are making him seem like he only acts on impulse, all the damn time, with no regards of what was or is being said to him or even taking it into account???

Like yes, we fucking get it sonic can sometimes act on impulse when hes in a stressful situation thats what makes him seem real, makes him seem human.

But, when you make him into this douche canoe who acts on inpulse all the time, disregards his friends when it matters most, and casually dissapoints them when ever he feels like it, or when it benefits him (cough cough the picnic scene in prime), i dont think most people would want him to have a good time, which im sure is the reason why most people, including myself, thought sonic deserved that punch from shadow. (who is great in prime btw, was okay in boom too but needed more time to flesh him out outside of 3 eps hes supper immature and i love him lmao) He's a dick. And i dont like him.

So, i hope to god they rewrite sonics character in prime s2 because he was unrionically just a giant fuckin dick instead of a snarky but caring 'anti hero' (like in boom) and that makes me really mad grahhhh

either way, they both rlly dont like looking at their reflection bc what stares back is a person who lived through a nightmare. so nya stars tying her hair back for SOME SORT of change

jay copies her and stops ironing and dying his hair. letting the darker color come through + it gets slightly wavey

nya decides its not enough and starts curling her hair (although at the beginning she doesnt have too much hair to play with) she also starts working out more. bc working out is just healthy overall y'know

i also have this hc that jay wears makeup to cover, uh, face things. anyways he starts wearing little to none so his freckles are just, a thing now

this happens right at s7

so they dont look exactly like theyre s8-and beyond design but its like a baby version

just rewatched lifeserial and it had me thinking so hard abt how much buffy has to go through that season gahh like its one of those episodes that is very fun while also being very sad. i mean its fun to me bc we get spuffy antics that episode and i love their lil antics so much <3 kitten poker <3 her going to spike bc he loves the brawl and she loves the brawl but being disappointed in how brawl-less it ends up being. but anyway thats just my spike and buffy brain talking what is really tragic and upsetting in this episode is everything that happens w giles. him coming through for her with the money and she's like 'knowing ur always going to be here makes me feel safe' they joke in the episode how giles doesn't wanna be her mom or her dad cant he just be her rakish uncle! but at this point her actual father is tht shiftless absentee dad, and i think about this all the time bc its probably just the writers decision not to include him for screentime purposes or w/e less abt plot but in doing that they're saying 'buffy's dad is so far gone that he did not go to his ex-wife's funeral, probably didn't even go to his own daughter's funeral and he sure isn't there for the fifteen year old that is now without any family! oh and now that my eldest is magically alive i still do not give one fuck.' which is crazy, but its established very early on that giles is something of a father figure to her, and probably the reason the writers didnt have her Real Dad around. like at first yeah maybe he was just her uptight, preachy, watcher but by season six he's so much more than that and so yeah in that moment in this ep when she admits to him that its like her mom is back, that she's not alone, that a weight had been lifted bc for one moment she didn't have all these responsibilities and obligations that normal twenty - one year olds don't typically have so early on. that is the culmination of seasons of giles always being there, and supporting her, and loving her like she's his child. and it makes me think all the way back to surprise/innocence when joyce finds out buffy loses her virginity to angel and so does giles, and giles feels a sense of responsibility in a season early as 2, to have that knowledge of what buffy's going through, when the only other adult in her life who knows is joyce. its giles and joyce and when its not joyce its giles! and then what happens when its not giles? and its only buffy? i dont know its just such a tragic spin to the narrative to have giles leave, and for their relationship to deteriorate the way it does, and not even really ever recover. bc i would say it gets significantly worse in season 7 actually. maybe if we had more seasons we could have seen them properly reconcile but giles leaving accomplishes exactly what he sets out to do. he leaves bc he believes that she relies on him and that him being her father figure has gone too far/he wants her to stand on her own, which she does i think. but that doesn't mean buffy's going to not be bitter about it? i actually would argue and say it feels like probably the biggest betrayal she has ever experienced at this point. which is why in my head, them being so tense in s7 makes sense. i do think w time buffy would forgive him but its one of those things where i just think the bitterness would stick for at least a few years! given the context.

in s7 voight said to adam he is the kind of guy who gets bored of calm and craves chaos and in 8x03 he was complaining to kim about their monotone lifestyle. doesn’t that mean he will soon get bored of his stable, routine, monotonous, calm life with kim and mack soon? he saw tearing down kim’s wall as a challenge and now that the challenge is complete is he not going to get bored. adam is not the kind of guy you want to settle down with. adam is not the kind of who wants to settle down. he is the kind of guy who craves challenges, excitement adventure and chaos. also he was upset over al’s death in 6x01 until he slept with hailey in 6x02 and that helped him feel better which is why he didnt want it to be a 1 time thing, he wanted a relationship with her. then in s7 he tells voight he thought he would feel better after he was unsuspended but he didnt. the previous episode he slept with kim and that didnt help him feel better. why is that sleeping with hailey helped him feel better but sleeping with kim didnt? why is it he wanted a relationship with hailey in s6 but not a relationship with kim in s7? i think only reason he wanted to sleep with kim in s7 was because he was still upset over hailey dumping him, he still had feelings for her and he used kim to get over those feelings. just look at his face when hailey walked into the bullpen, how relieved he was to see her. you could tell he wanted to go comfort her and be with her but stopped himself because he knows she doesnt feel the same way about him. adam sees himself as white knight. his relationship with hailey started as a fling, a rebound but it started to become serious for him and he started to fall for her after he found out about her abusive father. if the relationship wasnt serious why was he looking to buy expensive house with her and taking her on vacations and taking her to meet his family. meanwhile for kim and mack he gave them his childhood house which he got for free and he has never taken them on vacation. wow father of the year eh 🤣 its pretty obvious he had gotten over kim in s6 after he begin dating hailey. i mean he was all about hailey that season and paid no attention to kim whatsoever. he barely talked to or about her. i dont even think he thought about her at all. even in s7 he paid no attention to her until he wanted to use her to get over his feelings for kim. he used kim for his selfish wants and needs which led to more trauma for kim 🙄 i will always always blame him for the miscarriage. he should never stop feeling guilty over it and stop blaming himself for it. that miscarriage is what led his feelings for kim to come back. it was only after she had been through a trauma that his feelings for her came back. being with traumatized women makes him feel like strong powerful man like a hero who is doing them a favor by accepting them and being with them. kim burgess and makayla ward burgess deserve better!

Hailey and Adam have both moved on so I think you need to too …

Crunched Cost IceQueendom Blog S1E12

Final episode as of writing, (i only used Season markers to futureproof this stuff) With the plot resolved in the last episode, go into this season expecting some wrap-up and perhaps some hijinks. --- Wait we’re having the Ruby writes a letter to the folks back home scene now? (and adressed to her dad instead of “the friends at signal” we never got to meet in cannon, it has been expanded on to include Spin-off exclusive things though) Oh and weiss’ letter to winter (i think also cannon? though details changed to refer to the “bind” she was in) im fairly certain that wasnt actually an apology for the racism either, (so cannon compliant). Blake’s apology for running away and promise not to run away again is also here. OC-Please Dont Sue is leaving. Their pendulum reveals a last shot of Bunnyjaune, (no i will not shut up about bunnyjaune, the V9 finale did us goddamn dirty in not letting him become his true self) but not before expositing that “semblance evolutions” are a thing. Ozpin wants to talk to Ruby and Blake, (individually) He sort of vagues at Ruby to figure out wether she’s aware of her eyelasers (she isnt yet) then vagues about it until he can get her to leave. Oz talks with blake about the fight at the docks and vagues his awareness of her terrorist past and tries to guilt her into removing the bow. (im fairly certain that, if a real-life equivalent exists, it would be illegal for a teacher or headmaster to make such requests of a discriminated minority. Bad on you Ozpin.) before makig a token statement he has no intention to force her hand on it. Then does the little “who are you really” scene to her.  Weiss is waiting at the elevator and points out that oz isnt stupid enough not to know.  Im only now noticing this version of blake has purple eyemakeup. I dont know if his is an anachronism from S7/8 or if its just a thing i never noticed. Ruby puts her face on some pancakes. Its adorable (and i miss when ruby was the kind of character who would do stuff like that.) Ruby, im sorry to say that you’ve pretty much made all the friends you’re going to make (except possibly neptune but he’s more an aquantance) at this point. From this point its going to be exclusively enemies. Sorry to dissapoint. Sun in a scene without Blake? Thats rare. Blake, if you want to start a new life stop going by your extremely recogniseable sirname. Its a cliche joke to make about your character but its obligatory at this point. Pyrrha is training Jaune. Its honestly almost weird to see Ren and Nora present during a Pyrrha trains Jaune scene.  Team Sloth handholding moment achieved. and the episode ends on the beginning of the Best Day ever, cutting off just before the best scene in the entire show. (the one and only Foodfight scene, uneclipsed even in its now 9-season runtime) which is actually recreated (at least in part) --- Things i hated. DreamPyrrha. I know i was praising her, but the fact that one of the few times they brought Pyrrha “back” since S3 they make her speak almost entirely in hums and nods is annoying. (i get its meant to show Weiss’ noting Pyrrha’s deference to her leader. I still dont have to like it). I also liked that, unlike what i feared, this show did not have any Whiteknight bait. I didnt feel the “victory in simpler things” speech needed to be ported though. Final conclusion: this spin-off was a nice litle diversion, and a great timecapsule for the era when RWBY was actually allowed to be fun.

still no art rn bc i got a bit burnt out w all the drawing around double life- so im just still binging s7 videos aaaand well i finished grian's s7 series lol. i definitely watched nearly all the episodes i think unlike s6 where i jumped around. im still going back and watching other pov's of s7 though, itll just take me a bit. but, the consensus:

i watch grian's s6, s7, most of s8 and what there is of s9. i had started s8 after watching s9 (which i watched first) but i stopped when i decided i wanted to go all the way back to 6 instead, but also cuz i wasnt super into the plot heaviness of that season. i maaay go back to s8 and finish it since its so short but im not sure, it still wasnt hitting like s6 or s7 to me.

my Onion right now is, s6 is one i may go back and watch more of- i watched grian bc i wanted to get to know him more and see if i enjoyed his style. he was also new that season so i feel like it was a more skewed perspective since he didnt know everyone well and wasnt hanging out with many other people yet? but again idk who i may watch from that season (i enjoy seeing people interact the most tbh so i am not sure who i may jump to). but once i got into s7 i can say it has by far been a favorite and was very thrilled to see grian interacting more consistently with other members too- especially those i wanted to watch that season like etho and bdubs. i will probably go and watch etho myself too, and i watched a few eps of bdubs to tie up some loose ends. overall s7 had so many things in it that made me want to go check out other videos and while i may, im pleased that grian took more time to go out and about to see other people's bases and the events that made people go out more. the turf war, base swap, and secret bases were all key events that i found quite amusing and i felt they were all wrapped up quite well too. it seemed like everyone had better ideas of what they wanted to do and carry through in terms of stuff to plan. i was also wondering when the proxy mod came in so glad i got that covered by the end of that season lol. which brings to me my remaining thoughts into s8 and proxy mod--

so s8 sits very different w me now after watching 6 and 7. obviously those two were longer, and im kinda surprised to remember s7 took place during covid because it really didnt feel like it?? it seemed like they were all very productive, and i guess when your whole thing is playing inside on minecraft then, it wouldnt be too affected lol. but still, surprised i didnt see any clear hiccups even if they tried to keep that out of the videos on purpose. anyways, s8 and proxy mod.... when i watched s9 and the life series around the same time i was intrigued by the proxy mod as i hadnt ever seen any smps just using it constantly. for Life it made sense for sure, but working my way backwards in the HC seasons i guess i can see the pros and cons from my perspective...

i got quite accustomed to the uh, "old style" of videos with s 6 and 7. you know, recording on your own and hopping into calls when you wanted to interact further but otherwise typing in chats. i didnt realize how.... hm. different that is for the viewing experience. it allowed me to focus far more on the person im watching and makes certain interactions more amusing when its limited in chat. Proxy is convenient, and i do think its fun to hear people get closer or farther, or to surprise them. but the near constant of it being on kinda makes it feel like a never ending voice call, and i dont feel like (at least from grian's perspective as its the only i watched) it gives the person time to focus as much sometimes? and it doesnt always feel like the creators are actually addressing the audience anymore, as they are often focused on talking to those around them. its hard to say, bc i think part of it has to do with it being new, so everyone wants to use it a lot and get used to it. and i wouldnt say it ruins the videos either. but its a whole different feeling!

i think its nice to have the creators have their own space to commentate and then go into calls to talk w people because it better seperates the content. i do think the proximity part of proxy mod is fun and great for shenanigans. i think it being constantly on can hinder some things, and i hope to see more separation/muting in the future maybe...

I wonder if the major backslash against Fate somehow influenced s9. Like that shit was huge. Rainbow had no problem whitewashing Aisha and Flora up until now.

I wouldn't be surprised. Iginio knew that everyone would hate Fate, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they stopped whitewashing them for S9 before Fate even came out. I know a lot of people joined the fandom after Fate came out so some may not know this, but we got the news of it about twoish years before it was released? And we knew about the casting choices and everyone was pissed. I mean, Flora's- oh no my bad, "Terra's" actress even shut down her socials because she was getting so much hate (granted some of that was, unfortunately, fatphobia) and there were entire investigations about Musa's actress' heritage (ie the potentially part Singaporean thing).

The thing is, this whole backlash against Fate has been stewing since the damn thing was announced. And Iginio knew from the very beginning that fans would hate it. He's a businessman first and foremost so I wouldn't be surprised if he knew how much shit Fate was going to get from people who hadn't watched winx since they were children. Rainbow has slowly been whitewashing them more and more over the years and them (hopefully) going back isn't actually surprising to me. It was a matter of time before they realized the mix of Nick wanting it to be more kid friendly, the whitewashing, and the decrease in storytelling was slowly ruining the show. S8 and Fate were both last bid attempts to revive it so this reboot isn't surprising at all.

What sort of content do you write?

I write for a variety of fandoms, mainly being Marvel, DC Arrowverse, and The 100. I also write for Supernatural, The Walking Dead, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, Star Wars, The Mandalorian, The Originals, Witcher, Grey's Anatomy, Fast & Furious, and The Last Kingdom. All of my writing is character x reader, most often than not, f!reader. Though there may be one or two fics that are gn!reader. Most of my genres for writing are the common genres, fluff, angst, with the occasional smut thrown in the mix.

Is there anything that you don't/won't write?

Of course! I have beta’d some works before that weren’t mine and I gave feedback to them privately. If I had their permission, I would correct any mistakes I found but I would let them know what those were. If they didn’t want me correcting anything I would just let them know of the mistakes I found, if any. Any works I beta I reblog to my main with feedback or I give feedback privately, depending on the writer's preference

I either 1, didn’t get it or 2, it got lost in all my other asks. I have a lot of asks, ranging from people asking me to write them something, or things I sent myself to remember to do so if I didn’t answer, send me another! I’ll answer them as soon as I can!

How long does it take you to upload another story chapter or a new story?

I don’t actually have a time frame for when I post an update to a series or a new story. For my series, it’s mainly whenever I have the next part written, or whenever I actually remember to post it. Sometimes I’ll post after I’ve written a part and sometimes, I’ll post after I’ve finished the entire series. Though I am trying to stick to the writing schedule I have listed above.

Will you ever update your old unfinished series?

Honestly, probably not. I started those series because I wanted to write it and then after a while, notes started to go down and I lost motivation to actually continue to write it. Maybe one day I’ll post another part to it, as inspiration does strike at odd times.

If you dont mind, what are your thoughts on their relationship at that point? Both in general and specifically how they help each other with their issues. like Kai coming to her for advice about thinking his dad is evil. Love your analysis of kai so much <3

Let’s see... This is a bit hard to put into words. Kailor, if we wanna be basic, is in essence, the “hot couple” in the group, they’re both pretty, and they know it.

At least they would be... If they were actually together. 

Skylor and Kai have this thing where they flirt, and give eachother bedroom eyes almost constantly, and they know that they like each other... They’re just too afraid/awkward to actually like, do anything about it. 

The two of them both have insane intimacy issues, 

 Kai having trust issues that run so deep he has trouble making actually meaningful relationships. He loves attention, sure, after losing his parents at such a young age, he’ll take any he can get. But actually letting someone in? In a romantic sense, being willing to be vulnerable? Kai doesn’t know if it’s possible, and that terrifies him, because Kai does, honest to FSM, love Skylor.

But Kai has been hurt by people, over and over again, he’s been betrayed even by himself, when he allowed himself to be corrupted by the staff. And he’s reminded of that every day, because that corruption still lives inside him, like a virus.

All he’s ever wanted to do was protect, and if he fails to protect Skylor, if he truely acknowledges how deeply he feels for her, and then something happens to her? He wouldn’t know what to do, a part of him would die with her, and it would never come back.

Sky has her own inner demons as well. Sure... She runs a multimillion dollar restaurant chain, and could buy pretty much anything she wants... But her dad also tried to massacre ninjago by turning his employees and his own daughter into a snake. 

And she went along with it. Did she want to? No, somehow along the way Skylor managed to develop a conscience, and never liked doing what her dad wanted, but her fear crippled her, and she did whatever he wanted despite her own morals. And that in itself scares Skylor, because she doesn’t want to think that she’s capable of that amount of evil, but deep down she knows she is. 

She hasn’t full realized who she is, partly because she also has no idea who her mother was, either, did she actually like her father? Or was it some kind of forced marriage? Sky doesn’t like either option, but the thought that both of her parents could have been malicious, terrible people, keeps her up at night. 

Her father didn’t start out insane, it had to grow over time, and Skylor is terrified that over time, it will grow in her. And it’s selfish, but her first thought, her first fear, is if she’ll hurt Kai. 

Because Kai is different from anyone she’s ever met. He saw her, even after she betrayed and saw him chained to the floor to have his fire stolen from him, he saw her heart. When she had neuro’s element, she looked into his mind, it’s an invasion of privacy, but Sky’s moral compass when it comes to minding her own business is kinda broken. 

She saw everything, felt what he felt for her, and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t whipped for him.

So... They love eachother... Like, a lot, but they’re both dancing around actually being together. 

At this point, they are each other’s lifelines, they can talk to eachother about anything, and this is shown in s7 especially. Kai desperately needs to open up to someone, and while he adores the ninja, even his sister... He’s not very good at being open with them either. But with her... With her he can be real, because she doesn’t see the big tough firecracker front he puts up, she sees Kai, big brother who had to raise his younger sister and had to grow up too soon. Because she had to grow up too.

Sure, at the time, he went to her because she was the daughter of an evil figure... But he didn’t need to come to her, Lloyd is right there and would have been happy to be a sounding board, But Lloyd isn’t Skylor. He loves him and would to literally anything to protect him, but being with Skylor... It’s freeing.

She listens intently, never judging how he feels, never trying to fix everything. Her red hair framing her face as she gives him the most caring and attentive face he’s ever seen, proving that she is listening to him, totally any completely.

It’s the same way for Skylor, she feels light as a feather listening to his dulcet voice, and watching his hair bounce when he talks. Kai is the only person to make her blush. No, really... She’s flirted with tons of guys, done tons of things with guys, (Although really, it was always some scheme to get something from them for her father.) and none of them make her feel the way he does when she flirts.

She goes red and speechless for a second, blinking away trying to make it less obvious that she is completely and utterly enamored with this guy.

They are all of these things, feel all of these things... And They’re still terrified to make the next move. They yearn to touch each other, be closer in a way that’s more than just sitting across eachother in a booth, or walking in a park. They wanna kiss and hold hands, do other things and just be together, always.

But fear.. Fear is stopping them, and the only thing that would work to get them to finally get their head’s out of the clouds is if one of them gets hurt.

Revealing the possibility that they could lose each other... Now that would do it, and once they go in for it, they go all in. They’d be engaged by like three months in.

All of this drives the Ninja crazy, because they waited so freakin long.

This information may or may not be correct (if anyone has any further clarification, feel free to add it - just please know that this same disclaimer will extend to such comments). Ok... now that we have that out of the way!

I will find the post that gave me the most of the information that I have about it, and reblog with it.

But it’s after 1 am, so I’ll give you the quickish answer now lol.

So, in 2011 Misha was essentially fired from SPN as Sera Gamble was killing off Cas (he’s in S7 ep 1-2, and then doesn’t come back until ep 17, I think it is). He wasn’t supposed to come back, at all. He was supposed to be dead dead.

Summer 2009 is where the earliest flirting is seen with JenMish. I think it was AHBL 1. It is on YT. They’re doing a signing, and Jensen and Misha are going back and forth saying about how they couldn’t see each other and they were worried. Jared pipes up and says that he’ll keep an eye on them and let them know the other is still there.

Vicki and Dee are behind Jared and there is definitely giggling going on.

Then Dec 14 2019 is when Jensen posted what’s referred to as the 10 year anniversary pic and it’s assumed that the original was taken around the same date (if anyone has any links to the pic being talked about, can you please share?)

So, if you assume Dec 2009 is when cockles officially became cockles, then it wasn’t very long after when word would have trickled down that Cas was being killed off. I’d say maybe late 2010 to early 2011.

As far as I can tell, no one knows who ended it. Speculation is probably Jensen, saying it would be too difficult now that Misha wasn’t part of the cast, even though he only lives like an hour and a half from Vancouver.

It also has to be taken into consideration that Jensen and Dee got engaged in 2009 and married in 2010. Then 2011, Misha is written off the show.

It’s fair to assume Jensen wouldn’t have wanted to rock the boat at home for something that he wasn’t sure could be sustained.

So, during the 2011 con panels (I think starting around the time of the Asylum convention) Misha is totally different and a little sarcastic/meanish. The matching rings and bracelets also disappear during this time (but different matching/coordinating jewelry shows up later though).

At Rising Con 2011, Mish and Seb have a panel, and Seb says his favorite sound is when he’s laying next to someone he loves and listening to her sleep.

Misha buts in and says “or him” and looks really sad. He’s off the entire panel.

This continues for a while with panels.

I don’t know what con it is, but at one of them, Jensen does talk about how he is glad that Misha is back on the show. I don’t know if they’ve made up yet at this point, since I don’t know when it is from.

I haven’t watched all the 2012 panels (hardly any) but by JIB, they seemed to have maybe made up.

Jensen jokes about their panel being sort of like a blind date. And apologizes that it might be a bit awkward, sort of like working together. Then Misha says that he rather enjoyed working together.

Jensen assures him then that it was great, and that he had a great time. Then tells Misha it was not him (Misha), that it was him (Jensen).

Then Misha says he thought it was really special. And Jensen makes a comment about how maybe they can give it another shot and Misha kinda shakes his head.

This is either Jensen still in the groveling phase, or the trying to be cute and apologize and say he’s happy they worked things out.

Jensen is a little extra flirty.

But it’s obvious after this that things are fine. Since by JIB10, they ran outta fucks to give and Misha literally straddles Jensen on stage and Jen gets a boner and has to adjust himself. Lol.

Though it’s obvious they’re sad about the show ending. I’m sure the breakup (if there had actually been one) over them not being on the same show anymore from 10 years ago is coming back to them. And I’m sure it’s especially not easy with covid.

But they still seem to be bringing up each other when talking, when it’s not really necessary. And Jensen still gets his stupid (in the most loving meaning) smile when he talks about Misha.

And they were obviously texting each other during the panel on Tuesday.

So, hopefully, cockles is still going strong. It’s been 11 years now, not like 1. So hopefully they have learned how to deal with things.

If only The Boys was shot in Vancouver and not in Ontario. Then he wouldn’t be far from Misha, to be able to see him once there aren’t mandatory 2 week quarantines when arriving in Canada.

But I know during JIB10, Misha made several remarks about moving to Austin.

This would be amazing, though idk of him and Vicki would actually want to uproot the kids. So it may be a more wishful thinking. Even if not, I’m sure covid is making that impossible at the moment.
