3 hours into update 2.0.0....

I love it xD But also, I'm a little bit overwhelmed, but UUUURGGGHHH there are some real gems in there already 😩

So, I didn't start a new playthrough for time reasons and went right in with my post-ending save. There was some initial fuckery with my wardrobe outfits that seems fixed now though after unequipping everything and remaking the outfits xD Custom tattoo and scar mods work just fine though and I might test these next few days what other mods do :D I'm really happy about the tattoos though at least :3

Some Bugs

Also, someone desperately needs to send the NCPD some funds cause....

That vehicle doesn't look like it should be allowed in traffic (this happened twice, and I was cackling xDD honestly just a really funny little bug that's probably gonna get fixed somewhere down the line xD)

But yes... Man the new skills and perks and cyberware and EVERYTHING is so fucking cool, but also so fucking overwhelming when you're already level 42+ and have everything at your disposal all at once xD But I was so excited to see all the different new Kiroshi options and how cyberware is tied to skills like... damn. And the strongest quickhacks really need a fuckton of RAM... as they should. And I still need a fuckton of practise in terms of using them, but I'm really excited to get the hang of it all somewhere down the line :D

I was always a bit sad that Johnny had no comments whatsoever on V's relationship with Kerry, when he did with some of the other LIs, so this already made my evening xDD and one of the big perks of jumping in with my post-ending save to already get to see and hear this now :DDD Not gonna spoil what he says but... yes XDD It fits, I figured. And I hope the other LIs get something similar because it's glorious xD

Vehicles and Radio

In regards to vehicle handling... I can definitely feel a difference with my go-to bike! Like, it still has its weaknesses, but also feels a lot more stable in other regards, less flimsy and "heavier" like they described it in the patch notes. I love it a lot. I didn't try vehicle combat yet, although I did get randomly attacked in the badlands by some NPCs once, which was very fun XD I almost had a heart-attack, but it did feel like something that could happen. Sadly didn't manage to get my revenge in time, but next time!!

I like the new radio stations, but didn't hear every song yet... but also, and I think some others already said that, they don't really add much new in terms of sound and genres. Nothing that isn't already there in some shape or form. But still nice to have something new to add to the rotation.

Leveldesign

And as I was driving around, I randomly stumbled right into Dogtown :DDD well, not quite but, damn, that was an impressive moment:

The faction of the guards was labelled as "Test" though xDD Close but, not quite... Figure that's also a little bug though.

Overall... I fucking love how they integrated it into Pacifica o.o It's insanely impressive, huge and rundown and maaaaaan.... I cannot wait to explore behind the walls!!

Also, random little thing... I feel like the clouds looked nicer? But that could be me not paying much attention/ rain being rare-ish in Night City.

Not Dogtown but North Oak, obviously. But... idk o.o The light shining through like that looked so fucking cool and realistic, but I really dont know if maybe this wasn't already part of the Pathtracing update and I just never noticed it like this before XD

And lastly... I discovered whose nooks they added to the Columbarium. Right in the feels.

their heads are sculpted by me with luv... hehe

anywho i usually get my clothes from luts! they carry a lot of nice stuff for zephyr's size (a whopping 2 feet tall...) i havent looked around for much stuff for rali yet. they also make dolls themselves as well

i actually ordered directly from imomodoll's tao bao shop via a proxy (super buy) to get zephyr's doll body which idk. i dont really recommend it's scary as fuck navigating that site. as for rali, i ordered the original obitsu 50 cm from parabox.jp and hybrided/modified the dollfie dream parts (ordered from the volks usa site) onto the skeleton. I got the AP thigh parts from faithz

if you're interested in smaller scale bjds I reccomend 1/6 scale lil guys. they're about 30cm tall usually (around barbie doll height) but typically, from what i know about, have more chibi/child-like proportions!

i've heard good things about tinyfox's 1/6 line and also imomodoll's 1/6 line - they're both vinyl bjds and have an internal skeleton as opposed to a resin bjd which are strung tightly with elastic. also i will say imomodoll and tinyfox have some suprisingly cheapo prices (around 200 iirc???) for their fullsets which include a faceup/wig/clothes/eyes/etc along with the doll itself.

i'm anti recast (which everyone should be btw. dont steal people's art. jesus) so i dont reccommend anyone shop for dolls themselves (like heads/bodies/etc) on aliexpress, temu, ebay or etsy--- they're usually stolen from the artists.

sites i can reccomend for buying legit doll stuff is alice's collection, jane's doll land, clover singing, and i think i've heard good things about stacy's pink ocean but i can't remember lol. those sites i just linked carry all sorts of stuff from official dolls to clothes and accessories to maintenance items.

if you're interested in getting vinyl dolls i recommend starting with an obitsu parabox like i did! they're cheaper than dollfie dreams and if you dont like their head sculpts for their dolls it's mega easy to mod a DD head onto one.

Crowley confessed and is crying, and Aziraphale says he loves him too, but Crowley pulls back, asking smth along the lines of “wait, how do you mean? Do you mean that I’m your friend?” And Az has some flashbacks to the bandstand “I don’t even like you” and he reassures him. Can’t remember much more lol but it was an amazing fic! (I think, but that could’ve been a different fic, that Crowley’s eyes become snakelike when they kiss and Az comments on it (“Crowley… your eyes”) and it takes Crowley a beat to respond but then he looks embarrassed and blinks hard to change them back even tho Az was complimenting him. doesn’t matter if this is another fic, I’m looking for it too!! 5. Help me library wan kenobi, I have NOT been able to find this one specific fic. This is the scene I remember: Aziraphale is over at Crowley’s apartment and spots a few books. I think he makes a smart comment? Idk. When he takes one off the shelf, tho, a leaf of paper falls out, which he picks up. Crowley realizes what it is (something romantic he wrote about Aziraphale) and tries to get it away from Aziraphale. Aziraphale realizes what Crowley’s trying to do and starts teasing him about it, threatening to read it, before realizing Crowley is genuinely upset. It ends in fluff. What is this fic? 5. RE: BJD Divaz

I’ve been a customer of BJD Divaz since they first started, when it was only run by Chart3rline. I even contacted other BJD companies trying to persuade them to work with Divaz as their US representative. Most declined because they didnt like D's commission fee, but I was able to persuade a few of them.

I asked them to purchase a doll off DOA because I couldnt afford the asking price, and while they did, I found out later that instead of agreeing to purchase the seller's price, they negotiated the price to be lower. This significantly cheaper price was not passed down to me. I paid the full price +the commission fee based on that full price. I am disappointed I was not told this. This is when I stopped viewing them as a "friend" and instead, as a business. I dont hold this against them, it’s context to what Im going to say later.

I’ve stopped purchasing from D after my recent order from them. This company usually takes 3 or less months to make a doll. I’ve ordered the doll from D and it took 11 months. They let me know it arrived to them in March and that it will be shipped soon, except it only shipped on July, and only after I sent them several "reminder" emails. Before people in the comments try to put the blame on me for not sending a reminder soon, please keep in mind that I acknowledged the email in March and confirmed everything and they keep stressing to not send them emails because they are busy, I’ve emailed once every month since. I’ve since switched to ACBJD and Ive been happy with communication and the dolls ordered. I imagine ACBJD gets the same amount of emails, but they dont berate their customers if they email more than once.

I regret when people wanted a D0llshe, but not deal with him, I always recommended D. I would warn people of ordering directly and instead go through D. They assured buyers they would be handling communication and all the efforts so they wouldnt worry, except they didn’t. A person that I’ve recommended D to, who surpassed 2 years, keeps messaging me for help because D wouldnt reply to their emails. She is respectful, sweet and a timid person, not a Karen. This person, emailed D without a reply so would email a week later, only to be told that their email would be pushed down to the bottom if emailed again. No response, so she goes to FB and IG, who both tell her to email because they arent the person running orders. Finally got a response that they would get their refund, after D0llshe sends D's payment, but minus the PP fees. 3 months later and theres no refund, only a promise of them getting it later. Why is the customer missing out on fees when they have no doll? Customer emails d0llshe and he says he cant offer refund, because they didn’t order through them, which is understandable, but when all options are out for a customer, do you blame them for chargebacks?

If anyone files a chargeback, D will be blacklisting them from every company they rep, as in blacklisting you from buying direct from those companies. I urge everyone who has negative experiences with D to email the companies they rep instead of venting on confession blogs, and writing your experiences on social media. Make it count and send letters to the companies they represent, and please provide proof because they will try to make you out to be a liar.

Speaking of, they made vague posts on cl0ver singing for charging paypal fees, and that they offer guarantees as an official dealer, except when offering refunds, to non delivered products I might add, they are keeping the fees, and offered no help with d0llshe, even before they ended their dealership with them. Someone on DOA was told to not email them unless the wait time surpassed 1.5 years. They are even so petty that they post screenshots with the full name and address (dox) of the customer on purpose and then delete it out a day later as if they just realized their "mistake".

Before you try to make excuses for them about the fires, keep in mind, I am dealing with a business. The lower price negotiation with the DOA sale, I am in no way obligated to give them a pass or treat them as a friend when they made it clear that our relationship is strictly business. Their issues, are not my issues. D0lk got dragged for not shipping in time, others, including artisans, got dragged for being so late with communication and sending back refunds for cancelled orders. Why does D get to be exempt?

The supporters are the worst part of this, because of instead of being honest so D can improve, they support them for being "real". For example, look how micemage words it, to make it seem like this criticism is from one person, when there are people on addicts who didn’t have good experience. Check the bjd dealers tag here, you will see the supporters in the comments going off on any and all criticism of D. Some have sane comments, but the majority are cult like and try to identify the person venting as if it’s one person. Addicts deletes threads with criticism asking people to instead direct it to their feedback group; which lets be honest, no one is going to do because its "not that bad", and most dont want to join a new group, which is mostly dead.

This is my first and last confession on D, I’ve emailed each company they rep and told them my experience as well as contacting the 3 month wait company, with screenshots of my order, how they handled it, and the excuse they used to put blame on the company for being so late (package arrived march to D, 4 months to be shipped is on D, not the company). I’m not using company or order details because I know they are petty enough to try to identify me and publicly shame me like they have to others. This and the threat of suing is why not many people like to go public with their experience. They just keep feedback neutral, move on and never deal with again.

6. Listen, I can't take you seriously in regards to BJD!vas because you're posting on a confession blog. If you were serious, you would have posted in buyer beware groups, DoA reviews or the board to get things resolved, or you would have made a complaint to the BBB. And your language makes you come off more as someone with an agenda rather than someone who is trying to warn people. If shipping is the issue, stop buying with standard shipping and pay the extra price for express shipping. I saw one of you complain that it sat with them for 20 days; that's probably because you're not the only one and they more than likely have a queue to check and then ship out. Do mistakes happen? Yes, because we're human. I've been in this hobby for a few years now and it seems like most people know you're going to have to wait, sometimes even outside the expected wait time. And shipping something as big as a doll is a timely endeavor. I shouldn't have to say that.

My point is simply to stop complaining on an confession board and either take it to the places previously mentioned. Posting here behind the anonymous mask makes you sound like a petulant child who didn't get their way right away.

8. Since there seems to be a lot of either "completely negative everything sucks" or "everything was sunshine and rainbows" confessions about bjd!vaz I thought I'd chime in with a neutral review.

PROS

-They were always polite and professional in their emails, and gave me very detailed answers to my questions.

-I got exactly what I ordered, so no mix ups or missing parts or anything like that.

-I think them being forthcoming about personal issues (only one person on staff, illness, the flooding isue etc.) on social media is good, since it keeps customers updated as to why there might be delays.

-If you live in the US their shipping is very reasonable.

CONS

-Reply times were varied. Sometimes it could take over a week, sometimes a couple hours.

-My order took about 10mo which, when comparing to other people who ordered through the same company around the same time, was about 3x as long as if I bought it direct and 2x as long if I had gone through a different dealer. I get some of the waiting time is out of their control, but it was kind of ridiculous.

-They dont necessarily ship the same day they send you a tracking number. I wish they said something like, "Here's your tracking number, our pickup is Xday so it should start moving after that" just so I could be aware.

All in all no major complaints. I got my doll and all that. Their lone employee is clearly overwhelmed. I hope they hire another person, if only to give the one a break.

Truthfully, I most likely won't buy through them again. I'd rather pay the international shipping and go direct, than deal with the extensive wait time. I'd still recommend them to someone looking for a very long layaway, though. I paid in full, but if I had a 12mo layaway I would've never known they weren't ready to ship my doll until month 10.

hi! this is gonna sound SUPER uneducated, because on this subject, I am!! everyone i follow on tumblr, and I mean like everyone, has been posting about some smp or something lately? idk it seems to be a group of youtube folks? and i wanna get into it so i can understand my dash, but i don't know where to start or who's even involved. kinda like with the mcu, but thats besides the point. help? please? -bluebell

sure! so im not sure if your talking about dream smp or the new smp (cog smp?) so ill “briefly” talk about both under the cut. also a bit about hermitcraft bc i think people should watch hermitcraft

DREAM SMP:

dream smp is....a lot. it started with a few of Dreams friends making a survival world, continued into a hamilton roleplay, and is now....corrupt government ran by a traumatized 16 year old whos best friend is thought dead but is actually in hiding with a war criminal? its a lot of fun. to start, id suggest following one character primarily. I watch Technoblade (the war criminal) and Philza (war criminals friend and also kinda a criminal? idk hes just vibin), but you should just bounce around streams to find who you like. the most popular streamers on the smp are probably Tommyinnit, Tubbo_, Wilbur Soot, and itsFundy, but there are a TON to watch.

also, dont stress out about missing streams!! because of how many streamers are involved, there is almost constant content, so it really is a community effort to know what happens in streams. As someone who only watches technos streams, and rarely catches Philzas, i have a very small amount of knowledge gained directly from the streams, and most of it is from liveblogs and recap posts here on tumblr!

also also, don’t worry about not knowing the lore. the wiki (https://dreamteam.fandom.com/wiki/Dream_SMP) is extremely detailed, but its hard to know everything. you can start by watching recap videos (tommy and wilbur both post highlight videos on youtube) or you can jump in with streams, either is fine and as long as you’re having fun, you’re doing it right!!

OH and dont get too emotionally invested. like, not not emotionally invested, but if something gets to be too much, take a break and watch something or someone else. a lot of people had to stop watching tommys exile arc, which involved a lot of manipulation by c!dream (that means character dream, not the actual dream) and quite a few self destructive intentions by c!tommy, and so many people tag that arc as #exile arc. 

uhhhh id suggest starting with techno because,,,,i love him. his ‘past livestreams’ playlist on Youtube has all his dream smp streams, and he has a few videos about whats happened. ive been doing liveblog posts of alllll his streams with timestamps so if u want me to link those,,,,feel free to ask

some selling points: more queer relationships than straight relationships, because why not. one of the characters had a sexual relationship with a fish, had a fox son, and that character (who is now a ghost) is now in a relationship with a blue sheep named friend. the ghosts father had him with a samsung smart fridge. one of the characters has taken over the world with the fridge fucker, and was in retirement before forcefully taken to an execution where he escaped death and then found a raccoon boy in his basement eating his gapples (golden apples). also the raccoon boys music discs are basically what started the entire plot. 

COG SMP: a modded smp created by Ranboo, Fundy, Tubbo, 5uppp, and Awesamdude!! it was started today and it looks to be pretty chill :D

ALSO IF UR TALKING ABOUT HERMITCRAFT: 

hermitcraft is a multiplayer survival whitelisted server with several people. its currently on its 7th season and focuses mostly on building and redstone, but does include roleplaying aspects. the hermits are incredibly talented, and i use it to relax after freaking out over dream smp!! content is primarily in the form of edited videos, but people do stream, especially on ‘hermitcraft stream weekends,’ where theres pretty much always someone streaming for a specific amount of time. i really like Grian, Joehills, and mumbo!! its a lot of fun and i highly recommend it

Everyone had just left. Nervousness started to ease in. Sweat started to drip. Your heart began to race.

“Yah, you ready?” You hear from behind you. You turn around and see Hoseok standing with car keys in his hand.

“Ready for what?” You question, eyebrows furrowing. 

“We’re leaving. I’m taking you out on a date,” he winks. You scoff at him. He really needs to stop playing with my heart like that.

“Well, no, I’m not ready, let me just go chan--”

“Nope, no changing, we can just leave now. We’re going to be late,” he says, stopping you with his hand, preventing you from going back to the room. 

“Hoseok, I’m still in my pajamas!” You argue, he just looks at you, a playful smile on his lips.

“So?” You look at him angrily and he laughs and poke your cheeks. “You’re so cute when you’re mad.” You roll your eyes and push his hand away.

“I’m kidding, go get changed,” he says, pushing you towards the room. “I don’t want to be seen around with you looking like that,” he comments, laughing while looking at you up and down. You scoff.

“Jerk,” you mumble underneath your breath. “What makes you think I want to be seen with you looking like that?” Hoseok’s jaw drops.

“Y-Yah! I-i was just kidding--”

“Well I wasn’t, lose the hat maybe?” He glares at you, and you smile back.

Nononononononnonoonono. You couldn’t do anything about it. It’s already sent. The only plausible thing you can think of right now is running to your room and taking Hoseok’s phone before he sees it. Because as of now it’s still left as unread. Without missing another second you get up from your seat on the couch and ran to your room, barging the door open, startling Hoseok in the process.

“O-- Yah! Yn, wh- what are you doing? I could’ve been naked!” You shake your head, looking around frantically for his phone.

“You act like I haven’t seen anything before!” Hoseok made a ‘oo you right’ face, which quickly turned to a puzzled one as he saw your frantic state.

“Are.. you okay?” You quickly shake your head no.

“No, I need your phone, where is it?” He furrows his brow, looking at you weird as he raises his hand, the phone in his grasp. You gasp, reaching for it but he brings it up, out of your reach.

“Uh-- Hoseok.” You say jumping higher and higher for the phone. “Hoseok! Just-- please! I nee--d it!” You get on top of the bed, for better reach for the phone. He was smiling and laughing, having the best time watching you like this. This to him was fun while you suffered.  

“Hoseeoooooooooooook,” you whine, jumping onto his back, unfortunately your arms were too short too reach, making him laugh once more.

“Oh? You sent me somethi--”

Very similar/similar enough where if someone doesn't know a sheltie we mention shetland sheepdogs), our current one is a purebred that we got for free(she was being given away bc her family never came back for her and the lady taking care of her couldn't afford the time to take care of a second dog long-term think) and she's got pretty short fur in comparison- still fluffy enough, but not quite so long of fur-- she's a blue merle(absolutely gorgeous fur, she's like 8 now with a lot of health problems but she's super loving still 💕💞) anyways about the fur, so long as you brush regularly you should mitigate most of that, and it mostly collects in corners- but like.. be prepared to eat and wear dog fur for the rest of your life-- (actually there's a thing called a fur zapper we bought recent that you put in with your clothes when you wash/dry them(I think it's dry but idk??) that's supposed to get a lot of hair off your clothes in that process? Also lint rollers are your best friend--) AND roombas are really helpful(we bought a knockoff one and rarely have to sweep ever so 👀) XDD WHEEZE I can't even imagine what you did-- but like you could ask for a budgie/parakeet /hj I mean, they aren't very expensive (actually they're pretty cheap) but they're very loud, need a lot of attention(especially if you want them to bond to you!) and you need to research into them a lot to make sure you're doing things right-- loads of vids online!! Loads of websites too!!! So since pretty much everyone agrees that Tim needs a name change, and I think most people dislike the first two RR costumes (I dislike the pretty much Robin one too, because it seems like he hasn’t accept losing Robin, when I feel a lot of his comics right after Bruce W died was about that?) which leads me to: What do you think Tim’s costume would look like if he got a good outfit, and what name?

o yeah i was not a fan of the cowl. and the n52 design is just… so busy and excessively accessorised (excessorised???) - i drew it a couple times for this project im workin on and the whole process was me squinting at reference panels and whispering softly but passionately “what the fuck” - and i agree on the rebirth RR design, it looks more derivative of dick and jasons retconned robin costumes than inspired by tims og 80s design (however. the unternet costume - its simple and appealing and clearly nightwing-inspired and i am a fan, also the giant scythe/halberd/mace thing was so ridiculous i loved it)

which is why i thank pat gleason for my life bc tims new outfit is such a good modernisation of his original robin design. so i mean to answer ur question i think tim has a p good design right now (although not for long i guess since they announced hed get a new look/codename soon) BUT if i were in charge of debuting a new design and name… hm……….

whatever his new name is, it’d preferably have something to do with wherever his personal storyline is headed, which i dont know, and for all my complaining abt how red robin is a shit name i dont actually have great alternatives lol. i did see somewhere the suggestion for the name “Cardinal” which i dont hate, so ill use that as a placeholder for now (although “Halcyon” is an interesting option)

tangentially, my personal preference for his robin graduation would be a miniseries featuring tim and damian both as robin, begrudgingly having to work together to fight some greater enemy and becoming true brothers along the way. ending with tim giving damian his blessing to be robin (a post-mantle blessing but still) with the first amicable passing on of the robin title literally ever

as for Look: his new design should a) accurately reflect his character b) mesh well with whatever tone his personal storyline is going for c) be a natural progression of gleasons newest iteration while still d) able to stand as its own iconic look

i always thought tim would do really well in a more grounded noir-style detective story, both using and especially subverting the tropes of the genre (for instance tim befriends every femme fatale and romances absolutely zero of them. theyre pals and have weekly movie nights or smthn) obvs using some of the mystery elements to springboard into classic comic wild times etc etc. theres also a great opportunity to include some more cyberpunk aesthetics to the look and feel ofthe story

i.e. tim is part of the waynetech r&d teams, working with them to develop new technologies, and proceeding to test out some of the prototypes while doing vigilante work (bc terry had to get his rocket boots from somewhere ok). gotham is still gotham, but its starting to see some of that neo-futuristic/blade runner flavour from batman beyond.

so. cyberpunk detective story starring cha boy tim drake. im not gonna draw it rn but lemme just gather some ref elements here in case i ever do

first off - motorcycle, obviously. redbird is back babey and this time its a two-wheeler. all his gear would be modded the hell out of, but the motorcycle itself would be an approximate balance of 70% ducati and 30% tron lightcycle situation. a speedy bike with ample room for the edgy overkill batfam aesthetic, with maybe a little akira in there who knows

same goes for helmet; 70/30 on this modern/cyberpunk situation. heres a quickly photoshopped “cardinal” helmet lol 

although theres totally room for some daft-punk leds in there. serving as a heads up display AND a fun neon aesthetic. I really want to play into that John Wick neo-noir situation.

besides that… ive got a preference for street style over the superhero spandex, so… detective jacket. every detective has a good jacket. norm breyfogle made a comment on his early tim robin designs that itd be pretty either/or on jacket vs cape, merging the two looked a little silly. for robin they probably decided on cape to keep things classic, but for cardinal i can do what i want

and i want to bring back some of this popped collar.

which i basically did for that other tim design i drew, which i still like, so this one would probably be at least a lil borrowed from that.

admittedly… i do also like the concept of wings introduced in tims n52 design, i just think they couldve been hidden/incorporated better

greig rapson had a sweet robin design that had a sort of flight-suit (which dove into the actual mechanics??? i love) and since id want to dive into tim testing out waynetech prototypes, its a pretty good natural progression from him to terrys glider thing

the whole ensemble would be fairly understated however - enough to semi blend in with any crowd, hero or civilian. after all the story focus would be just as much about solving the mystery as it is punching the bad guy

the various interchangeable gadgets would be both prototypes of terrys eventual batsuit, and also all the failed prototypes that never managed to get off the ground. just to add an element of tension/plot devices wherein tims gear could break or malfunction pretty much anytime.

im fixated on this rocket boot situation though so itd be a paired down version of terrys eventual seamless/invisible design. still noticable and clunky, but working with the sleek modernish style outlined by gleason

smthn almost similar to the prowler actually from spiderverse - as in: Clearly Rocketboots, and clearly diy’d the shit out of, but still working with that Aesthetic

(most of the screencaps of prowler are dark af so im taking this from jesus alonso iglesias concept art) 

im debating on the addition of more overtly birdlike/cyberpunk elements, so ill add this here cause its dope as fuck (from ahmet atil akar). 

and a lot of batclan capes tend to end with that concave spiked look, which works great for bats but not really for birds. a tailcoat might emulate the bird tail, but it also might evoke Penguin a lil too much idk.

also in the interest of keeping everything within the same sort of design language, i would Love to see some new villains emulating deconstructionist/architectural kawakubo fashion:

so uhhh yeah. budding cyberpunk detective story with a little noir and a little technological advancement progressing in fits and starts. taking from the gleason foundation with heavy black featuring brighter coloured accents and modern sleekness, made a little dorky via prototype technology, with some extra neon blade runner shit thrown in there.

depending on how much i love or hate the new codename/design reveal i might draw this via inspired motivation or spiteful motivation lol

Firstly thank you! Most of the clothing in AxA is 99% ayoshi with me going in after and cleaning/adding some stuff. So I give him props for the clothes :P As far as a ‘new PTS’ style group idk, there are a lot of amazing creators on simblr but I think the reason PTS was such a special thing is because the bond they all had. I feel that when working on collabs with some of my really close friends (such as the one coming out this month with @dogsill​ and @ayoshi​) because we have known each other for over 2 years now. A group of friends built only for collabing purposes would be more of a hassle than an enjoyment imo. <3

Name: Pecky (name rule.)

“Species”: bird, not any specific kind, just…bird (name rule is easily fixed here if you just alter it to be like a pigeon or something. dont go with a complex bird species since you’re dealing with a kid’s restaurant robot, but perhaps pick a location and make its purpose to “educate” about a certain bird species idk)

Programmed gender: male

Years in service: 16 

appearance: light blue with yellow feet, red belly with four small buttons, four red feathers on his head, green eyes, and yellow beak. he has a major rip on his back the cheapo owners never fixed (see bio for how it happened) idk how to scan pictures lol id show you if I did (idk how i feel about these colors tbh, would like to see a color palette or something for this. also the buttons on the belly? strange placement for something with no clothes. like he’s not a snowman he’s an animatronic

as for scanning pictures im not too sure on that either but google could help you. i like the detail of the ripped beak though!)

bio: he was made for a Freddy's ripoff inspired restaurant called Pecky’s Burger World. he was made in 2003 a few months before it opened. in 2009 his programming was hacked and he performed death metal. it was fixed next day. rumors started circulating that he was possessed (he isn’t) and the restaurant is still open today. pecky is in ok condition, he has a rip on his back from kids playing rough (happened 2012) (PECKYS BURGER WORLD...that sends me rn 

also the hacking is hilarious, but useless as a detail. how does it serve pecky as a character? how does it serve Pecky’s Burger World to characterize it or serve the story’s purpose in any way? it doesn’t tell us anything, other than “well maybe pecky’s burger world is a shitty place if the animatronic was hacked,” but other than that...i don’t see a point to it other than ha ha funny funny. there’s other ways to make rumors spread about your animatronic being haunted in canon - maybe they start to give off weird, rotting smells, they stare too long at someone, they make weird creaks, there’s just made up stories in general, etc.

is pecky free roam? if so, use this to your advantage in getting kids to make up reasons for why he’s possessed/haunted. but i would feel like if it were me, i would stop making my animatronic free roam after kids ripped its back open. more detail on this in the future please!)

trivia: he has a prototype version from 2000. I might submit that one later. pecky has gone through some small changes in his time, such as slight color change from blue to light blue, eyebrows and eye replacements. (prototype pecky who will he kill

i enjoy the minor detail here in concept, pfft. it happens! good placement in trivia too, but not necessarily important to the character.)

your animatronic’s missing a personality in this submission, which could help us mods here better review your oc and give more feedback on it. it doesn’t have to be anything special or human-like - maybe make him this cheesy guy passionate about...bird calls, or something, and he plays them for the kids so they can learn about... birds? your oc, not mine, so go for it.

overall, not too much of a different oc from your typical “ripoff freddy fazbear animatronic” except for the fact that he’s not actually possessed. if i were you and wanted to make my oc stand out, i’d highlight this feature, especially the part where kids spread gossip about it being haunted. trust me, kids will make shit up about anything being haunted as long as it moves.

also need to think about cutting out what you don’t need for your oc or their story, because otherwise it’s just useless fluff that will get in the way for your audience. if this were a game wiki, i wouldnt mind the trivia, but if you’re going to have it, you should probably add something more than “prototype pecky had different eye colors and stuff.” i’d like to see differences contrasted on the reference sheets themselves so i go “ooh prototype pecky has different facial features” instead, but that’s just me.

im gonna start with deh because smaller cast!

evan: 

isn’t so much stuttery as he tends to repeat things and uh stammer a bit here and there. stutters over his words sometimes but it’s more l-like this and uh, like… like this

evan hansen has anxiety. he is not anxiety. evan hansen fucks up and makes mistakes and probably internalizes a lot of things. very polite when in public but he can be a bit snappy (as seen w evans comment abt how zoe’s parents have never been poor i believe? it was something he said to zoe)

soft spoken, most of the time. probably not the kind of guy to vocally ask for things until he’s at a comfortable enough point that he feels like he’s not bothering you (same buddy)

i see evan as someone who gets frustrated with himself easily. not as a sense of “god i wish i were normal” but more of a “i should be able to do this, why cant i do this, i want to do this but i cant” because sometimes it’s just a matter of i literally cant do this and i dont know why? and god its so frustrating sometimes

jared kleinman is a fucking asshole and he knows it. very sarcastic and uses it to cover up his own insecurities, probably the kind of dude who laughs in your face when you tell him off when internally he’s just OH FUCK OH SHIT FUCK FUCK FUCK

not an pure baby angel, by any means. we’re at a disadvantage because we only see zoe when she’s sort of grieving (because grief can and will come in different ways, and while i see her as not missing connor, i do think that her pushing away her feelings is a form of her grieving imo? it’s a weird thing to explain but there’s a part of zoe that does miss (the old) connor’s presence as w the fake emails evan “gave her her brother back” (albeit a very fake version of connor) and sort of standoffish when it comes to the subject of connor

a bit of an ambivert. extremely outgoing when she’s around her friends or when it comes to music and other things she loves.

very individualistic! her style tends to have doodles on her clothes, she dyes her hair a lot, she probably would be the kind of person to make her own jewelry!

very sweet. the castng call for zoe describes her as being the kind of person who learns the names of the kids who sit alone at lunch and thats she goes out of her way to be nice to people since. connor. yeah.

thats all ive got for zoe but u can always send questions in and i can say yes or no after i ask my pals too

alana:

smart gal! valedictorian! president! i love her! tends to overshare a bit. anxiety + depression gal.

probably into gardening tbh? i can see alana having succulents in her room and maybe a dog that just chills with her.

dont be afraid to make alana mouthy. alana is someone whos extremely headstrong in her actions imo and does what she believes is right, even if others dont believe that. like… think about the fact that she literally published what was believed to be connor’s suicide note because she thought it’d get them the last bit of help they needed for the orchard. it literally fucked the murphys over - but she never considered that?

very much an extrovert. just really wants to belong, man. very optimistic on the surface but i can see her being a little less so underneath. she looks on the bright side because if she doesnt, she doesnt know who will and idk i dont think alana’s the kind of person who just... lets that risk be there.

connor:

we dont kno much abt connor in canon but uhhh…. i can see connor as being a loner, sort of aggressive by accident (tbh this dude’s probably used to people being a dick to him so he’s just sorta standoffish in response) but like… whenever i write connor i usually write him as getting better? he’s gotten the help he needs and he’s doin better 

artsy depressed dude. poetry, painting, ect - whatever u want tbh. i just see connor, with help, finding himself in art or something creative (theatre and music included! u do u!)

very much a reader. this dude both has a lot of books on his bookshelf and a lot more books he hasnt fucking read because hes terrible at reading new books. (i personally hc he loves all of poe’s work)

to sorta sum connor up: bold, but not outgoing. caring, but not obvious with it (once he gets help btw). easily angered but sometimes he just doesn’t fucking know why and that frustrates him further. troubled.

honestly if u want to see one of my fave connors - check out @ask-sincerely-memes​! i rly love how they portray all three of the boys, but connor is by far my favorite! (mod con and/or mod ev if u read this i love u)

anxiety boy, but not evan hansen level of anxiety. more just… self deprecating, not super confident in himself, probably underestimates himself a lot.

jeremys hard to explain sometimes because a lot of his actions and dialogue comes naturally since i can actually relate to jeremy a lot, personality-wise? a really good fact to throw out there is i don’t think jeremy’s the kind of guy who just goes for stuff sometimes. he has to sorta be hyped up by others imo. michael motivated him to sign up for the play, rich and michael both played parts in getting him squipped (michael in the aspect of “lets check this out and see if its legit” bc i doubt jeremy would have genuinely done that on his own).

which really means jeremy isnt the kind of guy to just… confess things, unless it’s built up enough (i.e. jeremys confrontation w reader in unlonely since it was a conversation he’d been thinking about for a bit). in canon, he didnt really… confess to christine without the help of alcohol (at the halloween party) or without other people building him up (voices in my head). 

im literally rereading jeremy fics rn because im trying to come up with a good way of describing him

extremely horny teenage boy. hormones suck. for anyone who writes nsfw: i dont see jeremy being incredibly kinky and sexual and dominant (god forbid) his first fucking time having sex. especially if its both him and the readers first time. sex can be clumsy. you can laugh during sex. but also sex smells. like… once you’ve smelled it, you fucking know it - its just a weird combo of sweat and bodily fluids.

a goofy boy. probably snorts when he laughs and im not projecting there what are you talking about-

he’s the ultimate cool dude in high school. probably the kind of dude who would join a frat in college. handsome, popular, flirtatious - you fucking name it man.

sorta effortlessly popular and cool. there’s problems underneath - considering his family - but it’s hard to see that he has flaws when everything just comes so easily to him.

a very caring and sweet dude tbh. his friends mean a lot to him and he’s the kind of boy who carries your books and asks where you’re going and how you’re doing

he makes mistakes. he gets aggressive and protective and just angry physically - he did try to attack jeremy, albeit drunk, based purely on the idea that jeremy was having sex w chloe - so like... that’s a good thing to acknowledge

i said hes flirtatious and he is - without realizing it. someone probably has called him out on it and he’s like “sorry what?” bc he was caught up in talking to someone and not realizing that the dillinger charm never went off. because it never goes off. rip.

i think of chloe as someone who can see the potential in others tbh. gets slightly annoyed when people arent achieving what they could - but i like to imagine she gets it after a while since some ppl dont have confidence and such. 

yknow the kind of people that take charge when the situation calls for it? that’s chloe. she’s very much a leader. cunning, ambitious - she’s fucking ready.

A. What kinds of things do you remember easily and what do you forget?

I remember easily a lot of useless information on any subject I find fascinating. Sometimes, I tend to share this useless information with my friends, to their annoyance, as they often reply with a ‘Pls shut up’ or ’ I dont care ’ or ‘Why do you know something on this subject’ haha! Can’t judge them tho. We don’t have similar interests. I’m not good with names. Since I always forget where I’ve placed my phone, money and well, my stuff in general, I’ve assigned each one of them a certain place, where I can find them most of the time. I also tend to forget stuff like turning the oven off, etc.

B. What kind of people do you feel most comfortable around? What kind of people make you feel awkward or uncomfortable? What kind of people annoy you the most?

I feel comfortable around people who get my sense of humour, who laugh at my jokes, people who are open, people with whom you can have a deep conversation. I’m really fond of philosophy. I like open people too, or people who want to hear my opinion! I feel REAAAAAAAALLY awkward around people who try to get me to talk about my true feelings. That will NEVER EVER happen. Also, I feel awkward in general when I talk about myself and my feelings. To avoid this, I usually make up a story or something, or avoid the subject altogether. It came to the point where people assume I don’t have feelings, lol. Narrow-minded people really annoy me. People who seem not to think. People who dramatise their situations are annoying too. Usually because I can see straight through their bullshit. People who FAIL at putting on a mask, or at manipulating people, because again, it’s really easy for me to see through their bullshit. If you lie, at least do it well.

C. How do you usually handle conflict and the idea of conflict?

When I was little, I used to enjoy pissing other people off and having arguments with them. Now, for me, the word ‘conflict’ doesn’t really exist, or at least, this is what I think. I find it natural for people to have different perspectives on different subjects. If you believe something, fine, just don’t impose it on me. I’ll just show u why I think that you are wrong and in the end, you will make your choice. However, if I find your beliefs utterly childish and irrational, and if you still believe in them after I’ve obliterated your reasons for doing so, never bring them up around me ever again. I don’t like repeating myself. I never hold grudges or anything. I enjoy having good arguments and I usually fight the opposite part just for the hell of it. I find it sad when people take my eagerness to debate for fighting, nitpicking or anything similar.

D. What kinds of things do you tend to notice in your surroundings/in others? What do you more often seem to miss?

I tend to miss many things in my surroundings haha! Unless I want to observe the world around me, it feels as if it’s not even there. I don’t know how I’m supposed to explain this. That’s why I’m usually startled by sudden loud noises, sudden movement, etc. My friends ALWAYS laugh at how jumpy I am.

E. How often are you bored? What do you do, if anything, to keep yourself from getting bored?

I have a wide range of interests and many plans to do certain things. In this context, I don’t know if I can be bored. There’s always something to do! I’m usually bored when I’m out with a group of people and they’re talking about uninteresting stuff. I just surf the internet on my phone, since I don’t live near a sea and I cannot surf the waves.

F. What things energize you? What things could you do all day? What do you do to relax? What stresses you out? What do you consider a waste of time?

Obsessing over my interests energizes me. I love making applications for literally anything. One day I made an app for me and my friends which is similar to “MBTI types as” but it’s “friends as type of bread/crystals/food” etc. I love solving different problems, puzzles, anything that engages my mind. Should I add that I LOVE puzzle games? I am brought to tears when my friends ask me to plan something for them, or to make a comprehensive plan to achieve something. It’s really fun to see if I can actually manage to do successfully those things. I really like it too when I can freely come up with ideas to do something! I’ve always had good grades in group projects because of my ideas. I’m relaxed almost everytime. If I’m not, there’s a little voice in my head that goes ’ Dude ur cool relax’. I tend to react negatively if I’m thinking about something and I’m interrupted. I dislike it with my whole heart. I could say that the thought of not being independent in the future, doing what I love and what I’m fond of stresses me out. I despise leaning on others for help or sharing my problems with them. Otherwise, nothing in particular. I’m fine with anything. What I find absolutely useless: living in the past, worrying instead of coming up with solutions, doing boring stuff is a TOTAL waste of time. In fact, I don’t even understand worrying. How can you change the situation if u worry ..? IDK…

Conclusion

The Munchkin Nein - Jester Jay

I’ve been sitting on this one for-fucking-ever (like half a year a full year). Everytime I try doing this I somehow end up not procrastinating on the thing I was trying to to avoid by doing this. Idk its weird, but now I have somewhat a free moment and am looking to finally polish off this piece on cleric abilities - specifically one leetle blue tiefling. Will do Caduceus in another post since despite similarities, Laura and Taliesin play very differently. For those unfamiliar with this series, it is one where I ramble on the M9′s abilities, hoping to inform about the mechanics and let Critters indulge in the metagaming pigeon and optimize combat and damage numbers. You can find the rest of the series (now very outdated) here 

Ok clerics have so many spells I can’t cover them all, especially now they are level 8 and have access to Lvl 1-4 cleric spells. So I’ll mostly go over the ones she uses and maybe explore some I think are pretty cool. But first, an overview. 

Jester has the mechanics of a hybrid melee/caster character due to her above-average stats across the board. Her AC stands at a respectable 18, 2nd highest of the group by default (beat out by Caleb’s 19 if he has Mage Armor and casts Shield). Sadly her HP is relatively low at 67, 3rd last (though Nott, Cad, Jester and Beau) all fall within 65-69 (nice) HP. 

Next her WIS mod is maxed at +5 and her STR and DEX are at +3 and +4 respectively. Which is somewhat a shame she is limited to simple weapons, since a finesse weapon such as a shortsword/scimitar or rapier would be a straight up mechanical improvement in both to hit chances and the actual damage (although her handaxe is +1, evening it out but a +1 finesse weapon would be better yadda yadda whatifs and maybes)

Aiding her in melee damage is her Trickery Domain Divine Strike that adds 1d8 poison damage once per turn on hit in melee. Sadly many things are also resistant to poison, such as the demon they faced in C2E55. 

Ok first things up: Spell slots and spells prepped. Clerics recover their spell slots on a long rest and at Level 8 have the following: 4 L1s, 3 L2s, 3L3s, 2 L4s. 12 spells, seems adequate right? NOPE as the last fight in c2e55 proves. You never have enough spells to keep your squishy party alive. 

Next, clerics theoretically know a lot of spells. Like 70 over spells they could know how to cast. However, at the start of the adventuring day, their god gives them X number to work with. For Jester at Level 8, this is 13 and increases by 1 every level in cleric. Additionally, she has 8 spells that don’t have to be prepared every day (as listed in the Trickery subclass spells). So a large part of cleric (and druid and wizards who have this spell prep mechanic) is choosing the “right” spells for the day. As we know, CR is not exactly combat optimized, so suffice to say not all the following spells will be available in any given scenario. But still, here are some of the options. 

Her much beloved and iconic spiritual weapon the lollipop is a level 2 spell that is cast on a bonus action (good for action economy). It does 1d8 + 5 damage on a hit and 2d8 + 5 instead if she uses her Lvl 4 spell slots (with +d8 every 2 level spell slot increase). And best of all, it is NOT a concentration spell, so she is then free to whirl it about in all directions whilst opening other cans of whoop-ass.

Like Spirit Guardians, a 3rd level AoE 15ft radius centered on self of 3d8 radiant damage. Enemies can make a WIS save to halve the damage, but are still subject to halved speed while in the area regardless if they make the save or not. Casting at higher levels scales the damage by 1d8. This however, is concentration, so she cannot maintain other spell effects such as Blink and Pass without a Trace.

She has 2 nuke spells: Guiding Bolt and Inflict Wounds. Both are single target level 1 spells, and casting with higher level slots give better damage. Guiding bolt starts with 4d6 radiant damage and has a comfortable range of 120 ft while Inflict Wounds does a horrendous 3d10 necrotic, but requires melee range. Inflict Wounds scale better with level +1d10 vs +1d6, but Guiding Bolt (if hit) gives advantage to the next attack from the party. Due to initiative order fuckery and flanking stuff the advantage may be redundant sometimes, but I believe the best combo is Nott (the best detective agency) using the advantage for sneak attack in the absence of other sneak attack conditions. For inflict Wounds, if Jester has her duplicate in melee she can cast it from the duplicate. 

This presents an interesting conundrum for Invoke Duplicity, one of her Channel Divinity options (2 uses per short rest). Invoke Duplicity is a concentration action (bad), but can be cast 120 ft out. I think it isnt optimal to invoke duplicity to Inflict Wounds from a distance since it takes 2 full turns to do so + a bonus action to move the duplicate if when the enemy repositions. Instead, the duplicate can be used to double team an enemy in melee range, giving advantage to any attack rolls. 1. Inflict Wounds is an attack roll. 2. Spiritual Weapon is an attack roll. So perhaps Invoke Duplicity at 30 ft out as a first turn distraction as well as Spiritual Weapon, then move in for the kill. The positioning of both will be key, since she can only move one of them with her bonus action (30 and 20 ft respectively)

I forget how Matt rules with regard to distracting with duplicates (i.e will intelligent enemies attack the duplicate instead?) A parallel situation occurs with the Mirror Image spell. Not concentration (excellent) and is automatically prepared (also very good). When an enemy rolls to attack her if she has cast it, she rolls a d20 and above certain numbers (based on the number of duplicates remaining) the enemy attacks the duplicate. For Mirror Image, the duplicates are destroyed on hit (AC 14 for Jester’s dupes). But I believe Invoke Duplicity ones cannot be destroyed. Either cases could take the heat off Jester (which she has been on the receiving end of TOO MANY times).

Control Water I think I’ll go update Fjordy after all this; its more his spell than Jester’s now they are out of the water.

She also has a lot of other utility spells that can be clutch outside of healing and hurting (ok I have yet to mention her heals but that seems fitting we’ll get to that in a bit). Polymorph and Banishment can take enemies out of the fight temporarily (both concentration), with polymorph being easier to break if anyone accidentally hits them too hard. But polymorph can also be used on allies to turn them into a bag of hitpoints and melee prowess (generally speaking). But maybe not the most appropriate use (Polymorph Nugget/Sprinkle into the BBEG XD)

Dimension Door helps reposition Jester as well as an ally in melee range completely, enough to flee a fight or make a huge chase or get help. Dispel Magic is to nullify some of the magic thrown at the party and can be extremely useful, especially if enemies are limited in their spellcasting. 

And finally when she runs out of leveled spells to throw, she has cantrips. Toll the Dead is an above average damage cantrip (2d12 necrotic at her level unless enemies are at full health, then 2d8) WIS save. Sacred Flame is 2d8 radiant damage and enemies dont get cover bonuses to their DEX save for this. Sadly Matt seems to be very good at saving versus these, and saves mean no damage at all. But still, they are useful when she casts bonus action spells such as Healing Word, Spiritual Weapon and Sanctuary 

And finally the healing stuff. Cure Wounds and Healing Word. They are a parallel to the Inflict Wounds and Guiding Bolt conundrum. Cure Wounds heals for 1d8 + 5 (average of 9.5 HP) at level 1, while Healing Word heals for 1d4 + 5 (7.5 HP). Cure Wounds needs touch, Healing Word has 60ft range. Cure Wounds scales better with level (1d8 vs 1d4). Honestly in D&D 5e, thats not much healing. And the variance can screw you over. So prioritizing damage dealing is a pretty good strategy. In fact, with the presence of Caduceus, Jester has a comparative advantage in dealing damage (her opportunity costs of attacking are actually lower than Caduceus’, situationally).

However, as we see, Revivify is a very, very good tool to keep in one’s back pocket since you never know when an ally might accidentally blow up another. That part of healing, yeah no its a quintessential cleric role that Laura has played completely true to. And everyone needs to thank her for it. 

All in all, the hybrid nature of Jester as a Trickery Cleric has some growing pains, but I think she is a very very dangerous character (Matt acknowledges the value of clerics and is rather fond of focusing them). If she went full beast mode her damage output could probably match Beau’s, so really no one should hold her back with silly things like healing and worrying about her squishy friends. Dr Clay will be with you in a moment (after you’ve gone unconscious that is)
