Ugh I feel bad about this because I always found the routine soothing when I had Layla, but I'm gonna have to stop giving Stoli toppls at bedtime. He has become an absolute terror if I want to stay in the living room past 11:30pm. He paces around, stares at me, yawns, whines, paces more, stares more, jumps on and off the couch. I can't take it anymore!!! He can get a cookie or a small bully stick to bridge the gap of eliminating the routine. I can't stand being pestered like this. It's not soothing anymore.

i feel like trigun as a series has issues with sexual assault in the story, but i dont really know how to put my thoughts together since with manga/anime its very easy to point to a much worse example as a possible reason trigun isnt that bad, and i feel like trying to discuss it will make people reactively come forward and talk abt how its realistic or something so its fine

What makes Makima a good villain
have not read chainsaw man
HMMM hard question to answer but I'll try. I would say something I like about Makima is her development from a seemingly kind figure into something that becomes more undeniably hostile. although I would say that as the audience it's much easier to pick up on her real nature as there are plenty of hints (one of her first scenes is her telling denji that he has no choice but to be her metaphorical dog or she will have him killed) but if anything that adds to the tension because you can see something in her that the protagonists are oblivious to. but there's also a weird...comfort to her that's hard to deny even if you can tell something is very wrong? in the anime especially her voice is very hypnotic and collected and the way she composes herself is very captivating, I think there's a reason viewers get so unbelievably drawn into her because there is just something about her that makes the idea of her caring for you and providing for you addictive no matter what kind of hell and isolation that it comes with. Denji as a character is very very much a shonen protagonist for the modern age as at the beginning of the series he is shown living in severe levels of poverty that...are hard not to relate to in some way given how dire straits are for everyone who isn't born well off these days. So to see this starved and abused kid be taken into the arms and fed and housed and shown kindness by this perfect and ethereal woman...it's hard to deny the comfort in imagining yourself in that situation and having all of your worries and stresses taken care of regardless of what exactly she's putting you through in exchange.
There is a huge amount of tension that builds through the whole series as what Makima is capable of is revealed and the question of what Makima is becomes ever present in your brain, and watching any scenes of her with Denji gives the sensation of watching a snake slowly wrap around unassuming prey. The entire time you're waiting for her to finally strike, and when the other shoe finally drops the payoff is heart wrenching. I think Denji being a teenage boy is actually really important to the effectiveness of Chainsaw Man's story because Makima knows exactly how to play to his heart and desires so to string him along and get him to do exactly as she says. Denji is probably one of the most teenage boy characters I've ever seen LOL and she knows exactly how to play him in a way that is easy for adults to identify but hard for a teenager to see through. I've seen people call her a "groomer" and while I don't think that is a label that fits her since it carries very specific intentions and connotations that don't line up with her character I think elements of Chainsaw Man work really well as metaphors for certain kinds of abusive relationships/dynamics. I saw a comment once where someone said that Chainsaw Man helped them realize that their relationship was abusive and that makes complete sense to me.
ANYWAYS she's fascinating to me I really like her and I enjoy her complexities a lot. She's definitely one of my favorite villains in anything I've read/watched and I think she's awesome I think getting into Chainsaw Man is worth it just to see her in action alone. I am biased though because I really like scary manipulative women and I think she's kind of sexy which as you might have noticed I am very far from alone in if you've been online for the last 4 years

american psycho was good btw.......... I enjoyed the movie but didn't rlly care about the point. "Rich wallstreet types can get away with anything and there can be all the proof in the world and it doesn't matter". We get it. Also I've heard ppl say he "didn't kill anyone it was all his imagination" or whatever and.... Idk... I think killing was just the crime they used to represent how atrocious someone can be and still get away with it as long as they're rich&white. I think the fantastical parts were just to exaggerate the point that men like this are like grown toddlers with a lot of power and the world is a playground. And how they avoid actual issues and don't have a high moral standard, but rather a high social standard. Even if they believed Patrick, they'd rather ignore it to save face rather than be associated with a serial killer.

I am an egg
What is the egg for
I mean I agree that on the spectrum of gender I am plausibly definitely an egg that just feels about right. I'm just there man. Sitting around until needed. In my zone, in my lane, just serving my purpose like an egg.
But I'm still curious about the egg title I've been bestowed
generally in trans circles an "egg" refers to a trans person who hasn't realized they're trans yet, so then realizing is "the egg cracking"
functionally in the quiz it's kind of a "your answers mostly pointed towards cisish but not always" / middle of the road placeholder. honestly the results part is kind of the main bit im not entirely happy with because i have no idea how to actually weight answers properly lol

when u search zananishi on twt the results are mostly like people saying they dont like it or cant see it as romantic (reminds me of haikidou which makes me laugh. whatever i end up liking the struggle is real) like its a little funny to me cuz in a way i get it but not because i dont get a romance vibe from them its just that theyre 14 so like whatever you know. if anything the Really yaoibrained people in this kids show fandom are whats weird to me. but also people need to open their heart to broski romance you are all living so sadly if u cant see it
