See the thing is with streaming its going to die regardless, yes companies handing out less contracts is killing it further but its already dying at a fast rate? I'm not a stream hater either btw I really enjoy them but like. For example. 2020, 2021? When school was remote and I only ever worked mornings because of covid hours? I was clocked into that Philza 8hr stream DAILY. I was scheduling my classes around those streams so I could do homework while listening/watching. Went as far as to use my monthly speaking privilge to ask Phil what date British Daylight Savings began so I could keep my schedule clear. The second everything was no longer remote, and store hours went back to normal, I maybe caught 2, 3, maybe 4 streams in that year before I decided enough was enough about QSMP and I LOVE hardcore content.

From a company standpoint I can see why YT may not be interested in handing out streamer contracts anymore. Like Dreamie and a few others they're recognizing the Covid Number Boom is over- but unlike Dreamie, because theyre a corporation, they can't just "stick it out" and "recelebrate milestones". They have a "bottom line" to protect and they're not getting that same sweet sweet ad revenue from streams because of decreased viewer counts. Esp bc people don't just go back and watch vods unless there's a REAAAALLY good reason to. So no ad viewership there either. They're going to go back to relying on videos (and unfortunately probably shorts as well, I hate the tiktok-ification of every socmed site) to keep their ad revenue up, especially with the battle of ad blockers. I see more ad and monitization deals being handed out.

With streams (bc vod watching is lowkey practically nonexistant) not being in high demand bc of time constraints (happening while busy, timezones issues) the demands for videos will be higher as videos are ALWAYS readily available. Someone uploads at midnight your timezone? I mean it'll be there when you wake up, you won't have "missed" anything like you would have a livestream. Get a video schedule set out and you're GOLDEN- the first thing I do when I get home from work is check if a handful of youtubers have uploaded to put on to watch. If not, I rewatch some of my fav vids.

Also psychologically I actually think this is for the better of all CCs as a whole. Streaming, esp for some of the hourly requirements some of these ppl either HAVE to hit to get paid or WILLINGLY put themselves through (Tubbo) you have to wear your persona the ENTIRE time. You have to make sure you don't slip up that ENTIRE time. You have to be entertaining the ENTIRE time. You have to filter yourself because it's all live. To me this just sounds like what I do on a daily basis masking my audHD and that shit is so tiring and it's why I could NEVER be a streamer. If you're recording videos you can control what goes out. You don't have to wear whatever persona you decide to put on for 8hrs for a stream, you can record 3 hours of footage and then be done for the day, and that can either be one video or multiple depending on a lot of factors. Accidentally say your mom's name? Cut the clip. Bit isn't funny? Cut the clip. They will still have to actively filter themselves yes but for a much less amount of time. In the end CCs will have a lot more mind power that they're not using up to take care of themselves. I genuinely think it's psychologically better for them all.

It's unfortunate that the streaming industry is going to collapse this way. But also seeing how the communities heavily affected by streaming are more drama filled than communities w/o streaming, I'm lowkey hoping it's for the best. Pulling the plug like this imo is a mercy kill.

I appreciate the essay-andy-ing these are interesting thoughts! I don't think the streaming scene will collapse entirely but I do think that it will become more advantageous to be a youtuber because people have found that to be the most consistent for many years as a CC rather than streams which require a lot of additional things (like you mentioned)

And I feel like we are seeing quite a few people say they're going to prioritize youtube more in the future which seems to be the beginning of that transition

I am curious if twitch will ever try to keep certain big-viewer streamers on the platform with 'kick-style' ($$$$) contracts.

this takes place during the events of vat7k about a year after varian initially left, he returns to corona w his friends to find the library and rapunzel and eugene throw him a surprise birthday party. and in true disney character fashion, something horrible happens on his birthday. the gang gets caught witnessing / overhearing plans to assassinate the princess tonight. or maybe its gonna b a murder mystery party gone awry- havent decided. the group splits into two groups, the detectives and the protectors. yong and nuru are the detectives, theyre looking for evidence they can use to prove this has been planned for a long time. hugo n varian r tasked w making sure rapz n eugene done die sum horrible death as they hang out at the party. did i mention the party is The royal ball. so everyone is in stuffy/fancypants fits.

the whole running gag was gonna b rapunzel and eugene having like fifty near death experiences n its always like, Unknowingly. and hugo and varian r stressed out of their mind.

the reason varian n hugo r on Protector duty is coz theyre like Uhm. we're better at Improvising stuff. We can curve this and try n get the Killer to mess up and leave a trail for nuru n yong to go after.

anyways this animatic takes place a bit after like fifty attempts (cartoon ass flower pot almost crashes on their head, they watch someone spike their drinks and hugo runs over and drinks them both followed by an antidote varian just made, they walk through an archway and just barely miss the guillotine positioned above their head okay you get it just Silly cartoonish methods of assassination)

A Lovely Night takes place after Most of that so theyre very tired, the two get locked onto a balcony and r forced to kinda js Watch rapz n eugene hang out. varian takes a seat n is trying to sleuth out whos tryna kill his sister, he has an imaginary cork board w strings. hugo is kinda like "mann theyre kinda cute tgt. see two ppl locked on a balcony alone under the night sky would consider this romantic, goggles." n then Lovely Night!

uhm and the afterwards i think theres a figure approaching eugene and rapunzel so the two literally make a makeshift rope and throw themselves down the balcony to save them but boom they played into the assassinators plan! they were tired of varian and hugo getting in the way so they were js gonna kill em too. n then this is when rapunzel n eugene step in, n save them yeah and then they tell them everything and all is well and good and the assassins r behind bars...! Segment end....

do you have a preferred method to get vsts and other such instruments for a DAW?? im poor as heck and dont know ANYTHING about piracy, im so scared of getting goobered by people on the internet

i wish i knew more about the best go-to sites for pirating rn unfortunately i have no clue. ppl on the internet can have such shit intentions too so i dont even know where to look or who to ask. but also here's some free + VERY cheap things u may consider (below the break):

vital synth (i will always shill for vital bc i use it constantly and its free lol)

ob-xd synth (it says buy for $49, but the free download is on the left. the buy link is just a donate)

klanghelm plugins (all these are made by one dude. mjuc is a great vintage style compressor, the dc8c is a pretty featured compressor for the price, sdrr has a particularly nice tube saturation/distortion, and vumt is a great metering plugin, i have vumt on every single project since 2019)

analog obsession (if you donate $5 to their patreon you can get every single plugin they make. also all made and maintained by one person. lots of different things, so i recommend just downloading everything and exploring the functions of the plugins)

tokyo dawn labs (all very high quality mixing stuff. they have free versions of most of their premium stuff and they're quite featured despite being free. ez.)

kilohearts (they recently made all their main effects free. and if you want their flagship stuff, its all rent-to-own as well.)

sforzando (soundfont player. if you dont know what soundfonts are, theyre essentially really condensed, lightweight sampled instruments. they can often sound rlly cheap or tacky [which might be good, i definitely love that sound] but just install this and google [instrument] soundfont and just find lots of free instruments that way)

togu audio line (some free effects and instruments if you scroll down. but i also recommend TAL Sampler if you want a cool sampler and can afford it)

meldaproduction (has a free plugin suite. theres an annoying watermark at the bottom for free versions, but everyone understands. shit is expensive)

native instruments (they have the komplete start bundle which is just a bunch of free decent stuff)

musicradar FREE SAMPLES (ive sworn by a few of the sample resources that i've gotten from musicradar as far back as 2011 lol)

looperman FREE SAMPLES (looperman is a user-sourced sample website where ppl upload samples they've made* and you can just download and use them for free. sometimes people request specific credit, so check for that if you can. *NOTE: its very possible for people to upload unlicensed samples or stuff they didn't make so use your best judgement when sorting through stuff)

freesound FREE SAMPLES (freesound rules always reliable)

synth1 (AHHHH IM SO HAPPY I CAN RECOMMEND THIS RIGHT NOW!!!! synth1 used to be abandonware but was finally picked up again and is supported by modern systems once more. i used this religiously from 2013-2017. and i'm going to start using it again honestly)

valhalladsp (this is the only exclusively premium thing i'm going to leave in this thread [aside from bitwig, below], but it's just that god damn good. every plugin of theirs is $50, so if you can manage to go for ValhallaVintageVerb and/or ValhallaDelay you will basically never need another reverb/delay ever again; would recommend NOT pirating from them if you can help it bc theyre definitely a very small company but u know.. ur call)

bitwig (if you need a DAW, i can now heartily recommend Bitwig. it's on the rent to own program through splice if you're ok getting it legally...)

i know this isnt what u asked but i hope its still helpful. i've also rescinded my recommendations for spitfire audio bc the company was revealed to be run by a bunch of queerphobic knuckleheads. everything in this list i have personally used for my own music and can vouch for them from actual experience (YES even bitwig, i made the song "Futura" on Carousel exclusively with Bitwig, making it the first time i've made an entire song outside of Ableton since 2014).

that manga fucking rules so much i didnt even care the handwriting made me slowdown reading what the kanji was and i stared at it 15 minutes per character. i messed up my sleep schedule by reading this but its worth it theyre uploading it gradually but its about 14 out of 89 pages so im looking forward to the rest hehe

im too lazy to typeset so i will describe it instead~ It's your average yakudou comic with guda getting hurt. But its a perspective that i love so far...so i want to ramble about it

but of course it starts with a fight: "Everyday life" "Fighting, getting hurt, healing, and-" then theres a beast approaching her, "sometimes, death"

then it cuts to guda in the hospital bed, waking up 3 days later from her injuries with rider vinci on her bedside in the infirmary, checking her vitals. then da vinci casually drops onto ritsuka that if it wasnt for medea lily she would be alive bc, THE ENTRETY OF HER LEFT HALF OF HER BODY WAS TORN APART BY THE MONSTER and shed have died <3

then she says "anyways, im glad your right hand (command spells) wasn't damaged/taken and your wounds was deep but youre healed now. anyways, you good to go on the next mission?" then we cut to the flashbacks of guda in their moment of "death" at this point i was eating all of my fist... then guda just says "yeah lets go" with a smile

theres so many things wrong with that scene in a single instant but its a drug to me to see this kind of interaction where someone says "thank god your staff is safe but anyways 3/4ths of yourself got blown away but thats fixable <3"

then next was oberon's perspective where he describes her as a self sacrifical idiot, that theres no other word for her as she always comes back with scars and wound from fighting, and he doesnt know just what drives her to come back again and again until shes satisfied. then oberon sees artoria being worried she confesses to him about today's events where "ritsuka and i were walking in town to run some errands but just when i heard screams from ritsuka i was too late to notice"

and when castoria turned around all she could see was Ritsuka getting attacked by the enemy from behind, smiling peacefully as if saying "Ah- this is where i die" and castoria is so distressed and worried and shes crying a little and she talks about hers and oberon's love for ritsuka about protecting her and about her not knowing what to do bc she just wants ritsuka to smile my heart was going to give out for the three of them😭 i love them really much

but then next scene fucks me up even more with obecas visiting ritsuka again in the infirmary, then i find out castoria was also the reason why guda is alive. then da vinci says, "no matter what i'll heal ritsuka as best as i can" then oberon says, "Wow, aren't you so desperate about whether she lives or dies?"

Da Vinci, exasperated but now smiling: What are you saying?? It's just natural, after all...

THEN THIS SCENE KILLED ME LIKE IT KILLED GUDA HHH IM GOING TO DIE TOO

"She is our Master!"

Then Oberon pauses. Then internally he goes, "Our Master?"

what does the music department do? as of right now the roles are sheet music writer and musician!

EDIT: since we bought the sheet music as of right now the only role is musician! ill keep the little writer blurb for historys sake

musicians will record themselves playing their instrument and send it off to the editors, who will slap it all together for the actors to sing along to!

sheet music writers will transcribe sheet music (they can choose between writing for instruments or singers' harmonies). multiple people will be working on one song. either theyre assigned to it, or its a free for all where you just continue on where someone left off when you can. you can discuss with the department whether you want to work on something alone, be assigned a specific part, or jump in when you can. currently we are using a collaborative online sheet music writer, so we can see each other's progress and help if we want to/are allowed to. iirc you can upload your work from other websites, so if you dont like the layout of the website we're using or something you can complete your work somewhere else and upload it when youre done

is there a limit on the number of musicians able to join? nope! if we have lets say three people who play the guitar the work will be split between them, so there is a chance you wont play every song. if youre the only person with your instrument then yes you will do the whole show

what instruments are needed? i pulled this straight from the ghostlight records website i think but we're flexible with what we need and dont need, so if you have a suggestion feel free to ask!

do i need to audition for the music dept? nope! any and all are welcome!

i might be a blog that mostly uploads about LOA and manifesting, but i’m also really into lucid dreaming and shifting to other realities !! main reasons being that theyre random sleepy impulses that happen when i’m half awake 😭.

first i’ll be talking about my lucid dreaming experience !!

𝐌𝐘 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐃 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄:-

⅌— how did i lucid dream?

in reality- i was taking a small nap because i had just got back from school and i wanted to rest a little bit before studying so i took a nap like a usually do, before falling asleep i usually put a subliminal playlist on that contains my desired subs + void/shifting subliminals and i let them play on loop while sleeping. it’s my daily routine, the moment i fell asleep everything was alright i had random dreams here and there but i suddenly became conscious that i was dreaming.

⅌ — how did i gain consciousness?

it was in one of the random dreams, i was standing next to family members and suddenly everything around me including them began moving in slow motion and that allowed me to wake up consciously in my dream, i gained consciousness and i thought that the fact that they were moving in slow motion was very weird, and i realised that i was dreaming !!

⅌ — how could i confirm that i was lucid dreaming?

in the dream, i didn’t have full control over what i was dreaming (considering it was my first time and i had no intentions of lucid dreaming i just let whatever dream my mind wanted to happen) , i remember a dream suddenly ending and then another starting right after and after those i was fully conscious of my dreams,

i did a reality check, when i had thoughts of waking up i would enter dreams where i would be in my bed, same position as i was in when i fell asleep almost like i did actually wake up, but when i did reality checks (the one i tested was a finger-counting one) i held up my hand and my fingers almost disappeared, they melted off and i wasn’t able to count them, which confirmed that i was still dreaming.

i performed reality checks every time that i switched to another dream randomly- especially dreams where i would wake up in my room- to confirm if i was dreaming or not.

after being confused for a while i decided to shift from this lucid dream to another reality, and i did shift. i shifted to one of my desired realities but what confused me was that i only stayed there for a minute or two i was suddenly pulled back into my lucid dream (up until now i haven’t had an answer to this !! my two possible reasonings could be that 1)i got pulled out because i was having turbulent thoughts about reality shifting at the time meaning i wasn’t a 100% believer, i’ll say a 99% believer so i didn’t expect it to happen, 2)it might be because of the fact that i didn’t have 100% control over the lucid dream from the beginning, keep in mind it was my first time, it wasn’t planned and i had no intentions of lucid dreaming or even shifting to another reality) and after multiple repeated dreams of me waking up in my bedroom (and other concerning ones) i wanted to wake up,

⅌ — how did i wake up?

i will admit, i did feel a lil stuck in the beginning of my waking up process but a quick reminder that i was in control helped everything, i did however have multiple other dreams of me randomly waking up actually happen before i woke up, but nonetheless when i set my intention to be “waking up” i waited for my subconscious mind to pull me out and i officially woke up in my bed. performed reality checks and i was able to confirm that i was back in my current reality !!

some important points i’d like to share from my lucid dreaming experience:

⏧ — lucid dreaming is very easy !! and i mean it. i can confirm it from experience that it’s very easy !! might be an odd experience at your first attempt but it’s totally worth it to experience other realities by shifting through lucid dreaming, or just simply controlling your dreams and whatever you want to see/feel & experience in your dream !!

+ bonus point if you’re into the void and SATS state !! u can easily shift there through ur lucid dream if you’re struggling with reaching those states on ur own :] (not saying that reaching those state through ur lucid dream is the only way though !! just a possible path to it if lucid dreaming is easier for u :] !! )

⏧ — you don’t need to constantly affirm or believe your affirmations (if you do affirm) !! u simply have to set an intention (which btw my intention was to get into the void but i lucid dreamt !! & i could’ve easily shifted to the void through my lucid dream but i shifted to another reality, i’ll for sure try the void state next time <3 ) i personally trusted my subconscious (always do when i fall asleep,) that whatever intention i have while i sleep will appear/happen and this one was one of my first spiritual experiences after adapting the “trusting your subconscious mind” mindset !!

⏧ — lucid dreaming is fun !! if u have any ideas/intentions of lucid dreaming & controlling ur dreams pls do lucid dream !! it was a really nice & wonderful experience :]

𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄:-

before i talk about my shifting experience i’d like to share a few points that i’ve been personally dealing with so my experience won’t affect your beliefs/experience in any way !!

1. around this time where i had my first ever shifting experience (when i also had my lucid dream) i didn’t completely believe in shifting. i still don’t feel 100% certain and comfortable with my thoughts about multiple realities and shifting, but i can confirm that they’re real !! as i’ve had numerous experiences with them now, it’s just my own mind & heart struggles a little bit when it comes to spiritual beliefs :] but i am working on it and i am always seeing improvement !!

2. i still haven’t gotten my entire “shifting experience yet” yes, i might have shifted once through my lucid dream but i was pulled out from the “shifting” a few seconds after, the explanation i believe the most is that i pulled out due to the fact that i wasn’t feeling completely positive about the shifting ideology, but i do now !!

3. don’t let my weak shifting experience affect yours :] !! my first attempt at shifting was weak, my second was a bit better and i’m positive that i’ll only see better experiences the more i try !!

now i’ll begin to talk about how i did shift through my lucid dream !!

this time i did set the intention to shift. after realising that i was lucid dreaming i decided to take it to my advantage and to shift to other realities and experience them even if it was temporarily,

i set the intention to shift, literally nothing else. just thought of “i want to shift to this reality” with no objections, no how? no why? no when? nothing. simply believed in my mind that i would. and i did !! i did shift to a specific desired reality of mine.

i didn’t have to affirm or think or build a structure of the reality i wanted to shift to, i simply thought of the existence of this reality with my desired person and shifted there. that’s it. and i did !! even if it was for a few minutes it was a great “first shifting” experience :] i felt really comfortable & really safe :]

that was my first experience with shifting since it was through a lucid dream and i got pulled out into the lucid dream then it ended, it for sure was an unplanned & unexpected experience, but it was a great one !! totally helped with my beliefs & manifesting/affirming routines :] as my subconscious mind confirmed to me that i don’t have to constantly affirm or believe, i can also set intentions, tell my subconscious that this is what i want and depend on it. believe that it will give me whatever i asked for and it did happen !!

𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄:-

it wasn’t as powerful as my first shifting experience which was done through a lucid dream, but i was not expecting to feel symptoms so suddenly.

⅌ — how did i do it?

once again, it happened during my nap, i regularly set multiple alarms with each passing 5-10 minutes around the time that i want to wake up because i personally don’t trust myself with setting up only one alarm- but this did become beneficial for me.

while these alarms were randomly going off, i would be pulled out of my sleep temporarily to click on snooze or to just silent them, and then i’ll go back to sleep,

around the time that one of my last few alarms were going off, i woke up (not entirely i was still half asleep) to silent my alarm and wanted to sleep again, but i had the random idea of shifting.

⅌ — how did i shift?

after thinking about shifting during my “transition from wakefulness to sleep” period, (NREM stage 1) and i, again set the intention to shift,

⅌ — how did it feel?

i did not expect myself to feel symptoms so powerful and strong all in one second, the moment i told my subconscious that i wanted to shift i started feeling the symptoms, i felt like i was floating, an intense pressure on my ear (kind of like the one you’ll feel on a plane) were all felt in just one second. it surprised me so much that i suddenly woke up and couldn’t continue my “shifting process”, but i do believe that the next time i try to shift i’ll completely shift and not surprise myself anymore :]

that’s it !! those were my first experiences with shifting and lucid dreaming :] i wanted to share my experience to help people who are dealing with failed attempts or limiting beliefs, here’s proof that you don’t have to fully believe your affirmations, you don’t have to even believe in them, you don’t have to believe in multiple realities, you don’t even need to believe in manifestation or LOA, just trust your subconscious and you’re good to go :D !!

picked up some clip art discs while op shopping or thrift shopping for all the americans out there and since im going to the effort of saving the contents to my hard drive i thought i may as well share the assets for anyone who might benefit

its taking a hundred million years to upload but when it eventually does this will be a google drive with the assets from the discs

if it ever goes down check the original post in case i edit a new link back in and if its still not working lmk

please keep in mind some of the imagery may be questionable or even outright racist so tread carefully

please also use common sense in what you use and how you use it especially in consideration of the above point

theyre still in the format they were in on the discs so like the wmf files can be opened in paint but the pcx files in greeting card magic cannot

personally i use this website to preview the wmf files (click upload and look through the folders, you dont actually have to upload them)

greeting card magic also contains fonts although a few seem to be broken

im also open to non-google alternatives to google drive if anyone has them

ehehe. i specifically put this question on here so i could gush about burn <3 i didn’t appreciate him as hermann back in 2018 + he didn't really catch my eye back then, but watching torchwood made something click in my head, i think he’s the prettiest ;-; ive since gone thru a bunch of his filmography fhdksjf i adore him, he’s sooo talented n underrated. and what an absolute dork + lovely guy too, like when i was rlly fixated on him last summer i dug through tumblr shit into like, times people met him at conventions in 2013 and literally every single person was like “he was the sweetest person ive ever met” like i could not find a single negative thing about him. he’s a doll. (for burnposting you can check out my other blog, @breezebloxx, although i’m not as active lately. i hav a sizeable burn tag there hfkdsf.) guy of all time to me. love u mr gorman

but i really love the whole cast a lot (altho barrowman’s in timeout :/ jackass. no pun intended). eve especially, she’s soo funny and she brings so much life + nuance to gwen. gareth n naoko r also both such sweethearts, and kai and tom too... and theyre all so chaotic and dorky ohh i love them all sm. i love the dragon con 2013 panel, i love the 2018 hvff panel, i love the countrycide filming fiasco… i dont usually care abt tv show casts but i adore the tw cast, they make me smile :)

ok i was blabbing this on priv twitter but, i saw that sheezy is back which is cool, i did actually like it out of the art gallery sites that had been popping up. i logged back in so i have my profile there tho idk how active i will be

however i keep thinking more about its site management, also in comparison to other websites that have tried the same thing. this isnt a jab at the mods there, but an observation... they have ratings of general, mature, and explicit all with different teirs of whats allowed in terms of things like nudity or gore (and other topics on the mature/explicit teirs). normal thing to see, but the potential issues i start to see are when there are specific visual guides, and specific tags expected for a variety of different visuals that may either be subjective on whether or not they are that thing, or could easily be tagged as something else/something similar but still not be considered properly tagged. plus when you have three different maturity ratings and you say "all of them can have blood and nudity, just different levels of it!" you get that confusion and subjectivity on what may be too much or too little, despite having visual guides.

for example i had a piece i uploaded with (in a large art summary so it wasnt the whole peice) self harm in it, which i tagged "selfharm". however a mod came a added the tag "sensitivetopics" because apparently thats what i needed to tag instead. not anger at the mods here, its great theyre on top of things. but why isnt "selfharm" caught in this system? its incredibly specific, while "sensitivetopics" is not. but thats what the system goes by/expects. even if i had marked it mature and added "selfharm" it still wouldnt be tagged correctly.... and thats an issue. 1) it makes more work for the mods who manually check this 2) its just hard to follow. and if it was more serious of a thing, there could certainly be upset from people if they kind of tagged it right but apparently not right by the mod's rules.

there is always a push for making sure content is tagged better these days so people can curate their experiences. understandably simply having general, mature, and explicit doesnt account for lots of stuff so tags are expected to help out. but getting far to specific on what it expected to only be in those labels is kind of a problem.

but it shouldn't have to be, imo? i think most sites that have loosely defined general, mature, and adult/explicit labels make it work just fine. and enforcing tags for blacklisting can easily lead to more issues. its a great thought to have, to want to make sure things are tagged in a way thats unbiased and simply for users to curate their use of the site. but its never realistic. curating your online space doesnt mean the website should curate it for you by practically promising they will be the one to make sure everything gets tagged all the time no matter what. because its not possible, as much as they may try to get mods to check every drawing. and whether or not the site promised this at all, the failure to achieve it would likely upset users who expected everything to go just that way.

it is tricky, just because of course people could mislabel in a very bad way (explicit marked as general). but those instances of a drawing being under a mature filter but not tagging something specific shouldnt be the focus for every single post on the site, i just see that becoming an issue in the long run-- whether its subjectivity (or the pressure to make more and more tags to get more specific), or just the effort from the mod side.

hi its the original cheetz animator anon again and SO SORRY for kicking off drama then dipping for days. however, this is gonna get LONG.

cheetz' entire work model screams offloading shit onto other people so they can produce as much as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Weekend maps (baby's first crunch culture), 200-part maps with 3 collabers on each one (literally 0 problem with collaboration and its very cool [even if its solely because of the insane crunch], but I'll get to why Im bringing it up), and TRAILERS for their maps to generate as much hype as possible for them. What these create is hundreds of videos about The New Cheeteh Z Map, thus boosting cheetz in the algorithm MASSIVELY.

To break it down, each of the 200 map part creators will post a video with the map title in it, pushing the topic out to as many people as possible. the trailer is there for the existing subs, making SURE they watch at the premiere and again putting the "X Cheeteh Z MAP" topic as smth that anyone who vaguely likes maps needs to watch Right Now. Premiere happens, everyone watches, maybe skims the part playlist, and subs to cheetz (or at least flags to yt that theyre interested in their vids). Because this happens every 3 weeks, it's a consistent stream of content running back to them. its the exact same content-farming dr**k did lmfaoo

The same thing happens to hype the animators for The Next Big Project in the server. I think it was hollyfawn that had a 10-day @/everyone spree with like? a scavenger hunt? to tease that the next project was coming, prepare to apply!!11! To add onto it, they literally dont even do the storyboarding themself. They recruit like 5 other people to do it and cheetz'll help out. This is why the visual language is as disjointed as it is, and no hate towards the board artists! Its just that everyone has different styles and cheetz isnt exactly there to unify it aside from some meaningless symbols (does anyone actually know what hawkstorm's wings mean. anyone?)

Now that we've dissected my perspective on cheetz' content creation style, I've done a wee bit of research on my end with the analytics of my vids.

DISCLAIMER: I am a smallish channel with a few hundred subs and I only upload once every couple months. in fact I'm in the process of divorcing myself from wc so its prolly gonna have a massive subdrop as soon as I upload original animations. I am also one person and have not corroborated my findings with any other animators. Part 2 of the disclaimer: Tigernoir was never finished. After the controversy and threats against the host+animators we agreed to call it off and unlist/priv/delete our parts.

The difference in analytics between my TN part and my other unrelated parts that have a fairly large amount of views within the same amount of time is Notable. This is based on the 4-day mark of each part being up (the numbers are accurate because these were recorded then, and not pulled up Now):

The unrelated part got 1.8k views by then, TN got 2.3k. the difference is the interactions though. By the 4-day mark, the unrelated part had 36k impressions, accessed thru the sidebar (a 5% watchrate), and TN had 10k impressions (23%), accessed mainly thru the playlist. TN had 4 comments by then, Unrelated had 12. Unrelated gained me 50 subs, TN gained 10.

Obviously 2 vids from one person can't be Concrete Evidence, so my theory for this is that people are just skimming through the playlist without actually Intending to watch the videos. With the algorithm, even though a smaller percentage clicked the video, the views clearly had their eye caught and chose to check it out. This meant the viewers were actually engaged with the content and chose to see what else the uploader had going. TN's part on the other hand was just kinda There and automatically watched, then likely skipped onto the next part when the process section began.

In all, the focus is not on the animator when it comes to a cheetz map from what I've noticed. It is quite literally All About Cheetz, and he doesnt do anything but PROMOTE that with their content creation style and how he interacted with the people that work for him. Downright disheartening, and this style becoming fairly mainstream + their fans mirroring it is a very large part why im packing my bags from the warriors animation scene. Once again, sorry abt the length! but that anon did drive me mildly berserk and I needed to delve a bit deeper into my stance.

all i can really say is that that sucks man. i'm glad you're trying to pursue something that makes you happy tho! i really hope you gain the traction you desire along your journey! ik all the animators on cheeteh z's maps are like super fantastic so like i can already imagine how good your content will be..

It's 2 am and I am genuinely screaming at your art. I always do, but christ. I usually check out in case you've uploaded something new, your art is a strong creative reference point for me, I hope you know that. It makes art feel fun again.

A lot of the art you post might be doodles and quick sketches, but they have so much life in them, and emotion, and I always, always love seeing it. I have a bunch of your drawings saved in a folder for reference whenever I'm stuck and feel like I should have some more fun, and enjoy what I'm doing. Then I go look at it, and feel immediately inspired, and go back at it.

I started seeing your art because of bnha, and THEN I realized that OH? YOU ALSO GOT INTO TRIGUN? My god, I read the post you wrote about the series just being...wonderful--and it REALLY IS,. No spoilers for anyone, just..it's good. its so, so good for so many reasons, and it hit a chord in my little heart, and now youre making art of it? Dont mind if I do???

I read that you were trying to focus this blog into more serious art, and thats fine, although if you were to also post your funny little doodles anywhere else, whatever they may be about, just say where and I'll be around too >:)) its always so very nice to see anything at all. So, yeah. screaming. I just saw the most recent trigun sketches and UGH. Theyre so fine. The cHARACTERS ARE SO FINE. id rant about the complexity and simplicity of it all. Why is cd better than

than vinyl? several reasons, um

any cd you buy from anywhere, can be easily uploaded onto a computer and then you have the music files forever. you can thrift a cd or get it from a used records store and the mp3s can become yours to put on any device or to burn a new cd. if you buy a new vinyl now from like bandcamp or whatever, they generally give you a download link for the songs (well bandcamp does right after you buy it no matter what format, but i also mean if you bought a new vinyl directly from the artist or something, like a vinyl of a recent album made in the last several years) but if you get a really cool thrifted vinyl, you cant have the mp3 files unless you buy them digitally or torrent it, and then youre spending more money to get something that a cd promises you outright or you have to torrent which is harder than putting a cd in and just doing it. plus its not illegal to rip a cd

portability. cds are much smaller and easily fit into a cd book or something so you could carry many at once, plus a lot of cars that are still on the road have cd players. i guess if you dont drive or your car doesnt this isnt really a factor for you, but very few cars ever had record players and the ones that did are like 70 years old at this point. plus when im in the car i get the best audio quality from a cd, downloaded streamed songs or downloaded files on an phone or an ipod dont compare. plus cd walkmans exist, theres no portable vinyl player like that.

cds are endlessly copyable, most of the cds that i keep in my car are burned copies of the albums i own. i dont like to keep the originals in the car because it would suck if it got stolen or fucked up because its in the car somehow. you can also burn your own cds of a totally unique playlist. you cant with vinyl

sometimes you can just buy a vinyl that wasnt pressed right, and itll suck and not sound how its supposed to, and also they slowly die and wear out the more you play them. not a problem with cds, though they can wear out or rot or whatever, i have a lot of experience buying used cds from a lot of different sources (many different thrift stores, used record stores, ebay, etc) and sometimes one wont upload to my computer for whatever reason, but itll stll play in a cd player. i have a few cds that are like, some of the very first albums released on cd from the 80s that work completely perfectly still.

a good vinyl player is really expensive. the mass produced ones sold in places like urban outfitters suck, and it takes alot more to get an actual good one. you can walk into any thrift store and find a really good cd player for like, under 20 bucks generally. some cd players do have better speakers than others, but even a cheap one will be pretty good unless its absolute shit. also cds themselves tend to be cheaper, used or new. i just checked a few artists on bandcamp and cds are $10-$14 dollars generally, but vinyl are $20-$30. and the same goes for used too, because theyre more popular used places sell them for more. theres less competition with cds because theyre less popular

i get that vinyl is part of a whole experience, and theres something more glamorous about it than cds, but if theyre only more popular because of vibes.... than that's just admitting theyre an inferior product isnt it? cds just arent as cool anymore. hipsters repopularized vinyl, but isnt it more hipster to do what the hipsters arent doing?
