it is all chaos and entropy. the thing is that the chaos and entropy make it beautiful and lovely.

yes, it's true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is terrifying. i have lived through some of the unfairness - i got born like this, with my body caving into itself, with this ironic love of dance when i sometimes can't stand up for longer than 15 minutes. i am a poet with hands that are slowly shutting down - i can't hold a pen some days. recently i found a dead bird on our front porch. she had no visible injuries. she had just died, the way things die sometimes.

it is also true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is wonderful. the sheer happenstance that makes rain turn into a rainbow. the impossible coincidence of finding your best friend. i have made so many mistakes and i have let myself down and i have harmed other people by accident. nature moves anyway. on the worst day of my life she delivers me an orange juice sunset, as if she is saying try again tomorrow.

how vast and unknowing the universe! how small we are! isn't that lovely. the universe has given us flowers and harp strings and the shape of clouds. how massive our lives are in comparison to a grasshopper. the world so bright, still undiscovered. even after 30 years of being on this earth, i learned about a new type of animal today: the dhole.

chance echoing in my life like a harmony between two people talking. do you think you and i, living in different worlds but connected through the internet - do you think we've ever seen the same butterfly? they migrate thousands of miles. it's possible, right?

how beautiful the ways we fill the vastness of space. i love that when large amounts of people are applauding in a room, they all start clapping at the same time. i love that the ocean reminds us of our mother's heartbeat. i love that out of all the colors, chlorophyll chose green. i love the coincidences. i love the places where science says i don't know, but it just happens.

"the universe doesn't care about you!" oh, i know. that's okay. i care about the universe. i will put my big stupid heart out into it and watch the universe feast on it. it is not painful. it is strange - the more love you pour into the unfeeling world, the more it feels the world loves you in return. i know it's confirmation bias. i think i'm okay if my proof of kindness is just my own body and my own spirit.

not because she doesn't want to show you off, because believe me, she wants to (she's a bragger what can i say)

but just because she wants to keep you all to herself for a while

she knows that as soon as people find out about it, everyone will be talking about it and making assumptions and she just wants to keep you to herself

at least for a couple months

she doesn't care about the public's opinions but she wants to make sure that y'all are LOCKED IN before she makes it public on social media

but it's clear to paige that y'all are very much locked in after the first couple weeks

she's not new to relationships and she's had her fair share but she can tell that it's different now

so the whole "not sure if i wanna hard/soft launch her cus what if we're not a long term" sentiment turns into "i wanna keep this special thing to myself ONLY for at least a couple months"

and of course the entire team knows paige is down bad for you, they've never ever seen her this WHIPPED

and after going through such a bad time with you, she realized that she liked you and she can't keep pretending

and she asked you (yaya!) and you said yes cus you liked her back (yaya!) and everything is just YAYA

so it's safe to say she knows she's found her soulmate within a month of knowing you

but she doesn't wanna seem like she's love-bombing you or whatever so she pretended to be nonchalant

which of course FAILS because she's down bad

so she tells you she loves you within like a month of dating

i KNOW it seems bad but you guys both felt it because of the whole injury and spending every moment together

she told you she loved you after you were there for her through some of the worst times of her life and you said it back of course and it's all cutesy

cus she has the prettiest and best gf in the world and she wants everyone to know that

RELATIONSHIP STUFF

we've already covered how paige is a physical touch and quality time girly

and paige loves spending literally all her free time with you because you just recharge her

but it isn't in like an overwhelming way

paige understand that sometimes you need quiet time (or vice versa) but the thing is she doesn't even need you to talk just being around you is enough

so idk if it's necessarily QUALITY time but just being around you and spending every free second she has with you tells you that she is in love with you

paige is the most protective person IN THE WORLD, not just with you like in general

it doesn't even have to be someone she knows, if she sees someone giving someone else a hard time SHE WILL STEP IN!

and with her friends, y'all have seen her... she does not back down and will literally murder anyone who comes for the people she cares about

so if that's with people she doesn't know, and her friends, you guys can imagine how crazy she gets over you

if somebody says something even slightly consendecing or mean, slap. someone looks at you the wrong way? slap. somebody breaths wrong around you, slap.

obviously she won't lay a hand on them first but likeeee would she back down, nope

she is actually your guardian angel

like at parties, her hand is always on you and she never ever leaves your side

you need to get a drink, she's coming to

if you need to pee? she'll wait in the bathroom for you

yeah don't expect her to leave your side

because even when she IS by your side, there is always a weirdo in your guys' ear trying to get with one (or both!) of you

but yeah she's not afraid to defend you when it comes to literally anything

and this doesn't only apply to strangers, if there is someone that you know (your friend, her friend, etc) she WILL stand by you and defend you

like she doesn't shy away from confrontation, she will say something but only if you want her to

and GOD HELP THEM if you shed a single tear, cus the next morning you bet she's saying something

like i said, paige is a confrontational person and that means she's the biggest communicator

if she has a problem, she will tell you so that you guys can fix it

but sometimes she can come off a little argumentative and like she's just attacking you

she uses a lot of "you" statements so it seems like she's pushing the blame all on to you

so that can be the root of a lot of your guys' arguments when paige is only trying to solve the issues

but of course paige doesn't back down so she will be arguing with you even if she doesn't even know why, she just hates being wrong

but she doesn't let you leave or go to sleep unless the problem is fixed (or at least on the road to being fixed)

she'll give you space, she'll go another room to take a breather but she will not let you leave until it is fixed

usually after the breather you guys can come to an agreement and then paige usually hugs all the anger outta you

cus who could resist her?

if the argument lasts a couple days (it usually doesn't unless it's something serious) paige will talk it out with her mom or her friends

and you'll usually do the same

and paige will force you to sit down and talk about it until it is FIXED because she hates not being able to talk to you

and when you guys do eventually talk about it, especially if it's a serious topic, it will end with tears with both parties

but you guys always make up and everything will be better

i feel like paige's nervous tic would be braiding the ends of her hair so i feel like that would transfer to YOU somehow

mick used to say she was his yellow. the color yellow is what most people associate with happiness, with joy and bliss.

she found it hard to believe, sometimes, how he could think about her in that way. in her mind, she was someone who needed a yellow, she never thought of herself as someone who could bring that into someone else’s life. but he was always there to remind her.

the night she felt like the sadness would never go away, when she felt the weight of the world on her shoulders, he grabbed her hand, leading her out of their shared apartment. 

they were going to a friend’s party, one of mick’s friend was getting married and the couple was throwing a small get-together with close friends. mick walked into the bedroom, where she was getting ready.

“whoa,” he whispered, eyes going wide as he stopped in his tracks.

“it’s true,” he pecked her lips, “you’re the most gorgeous thing i’ve ever laid my eyes on,” one of his hands went up to cup her cheek, he felt her skin warming under his touch. “i don’t know how i got so lucky,”

“i’m the lucky one, mick. you’re the best person i’ve ever gotten the pleasure to know. i still don’t know why you’re with me,” she looked down, but he lifted her head up.

he didn’t know it yet, but his words meant the world to her. she’d been having a tough time lately, but his presence was already making things much better.

as they drove to their friend’s house, he kept his hand on her thigh, she’d wanted to drive them there, so he sat on the passenger seat, picking the music and giving his best performance, singing out of tune in hopes of making her smile. as a slow song came on, they both stayed quiet, she was focused on the road as mick leaned back against the headrest, his eyes on her. she was the most marvelous woman he’d ever met. as they were reaching a red light, she looked at him, having felt his stare for the past few minutes.

“what?” she asked, smiling.

“you’re perfect,” he replied, eyes still focused on her. she turned her head, a shy look on her face. “stay like that,” he said, taking out his phone and opening the camera app.

“no, mick-”

“please, just one,” he pleaded, sticking his bottom lip out and blinking rapidly. she chuckled, shaking her head.

“fine,” she gave in. mick turned on the light inside the car, making sure the streetlight was still in red, before snapping a few pictures of her. “my beautiful girl,” he muttered under his breath, “i love you,” he leaned forward, pressing his lips to her cheek. as the light changed from red to green, he turned off the light and leaned back.

about thirty minutes later, when they were waiting for another couple to arrive so they could all have dinner, mick got a call from his mother. he excused himself as he stepped outside. he talked to her for a bit, catching up on everything since they last spoke, his mother asked about (y/n), and an instant smile made its way onto his face. it was so evident that he was completely in love, happier than ever.

“i’m so happy you have each other,” she told him, “you complement and need each other.”

as they hung up, mick looked at his new lockscreen photo, the one he’d just taken in the car. he smiled, so hard his cheeks hurt. she was so beautiful, everything he could ever want. he wanted to show her off to anyone he came across.

and show her off he did. he opened instagram, uploading the picture to his timeline,  ‘my everything’, he captioned it. he returned inside, sitting next to her and sliding his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to him. she snuggled against his neck, having missed him the few minutes he was gone.

hours later, when they’d all eaten and were catching up, she excused herself and grabbed her phone, going to the bathroom. she remembered she had to send a work e-mail and needed some peace and quiet to think about how to redact it. she didn’t expect to see hundreds of notifications from her social media apps. she took a deep breath as she opened instagram. the next few minutes were hazy, blurry.

at first, her heart had skipped a beat when she saw the photo mick took of her. then, she started reading sweet messages from his fans, saying how happy they were for them. then, she read the bad comments. she always wondered what gave people the sense of entitlement when it came to sharing their thoughts about other people’s bodies, appearances, lives. it was unbelievable how things could change in just one second. she’d learned the bad way that it wasn’t good for her to read comments, and even though there was a mean one for every five nice ones, her mind always seemed to focus on the bad ones.

she wasn’t mad at mick, it wasn’t his fault. she just had to suck it up and act as if nothing had happened.

so, she did. or at least tried to.

she sat down next to mick, and he immediately knew something was wrong. he held her closer to him, pressed more kisses to her face and whispered sweet words in her ear. as she started to come back to herself, he stood up and walked to the kitchen to get her some water.

“oh, you two are so cute,” one of their friends said, “did you see the picture he posted?”

they all gathered around that person’s phone, and even though she knew that their comments were positive, that they only meant the best for her, she couldn’t help but tense a little. mick noticed.

“(y/n), you look great here,”

“yes, the color really suits you,”

“look at your smile,”

she felt bad for feeling that way, for being uncomfortable when she was receiving compliments. she gave them a quick, tight-lipped smile as she looked down to the floor. her fingers were playing with the hem of the dress she wore, and as her heart sped up inside her chest, so did her breathing.

calm down. calm down. don’t overreact. stop.

her ears started buzzing, and she started picking at her nails, where the nail and skin met, until she drew blood. as mick returned, he immediately knew something was wrong, mick’s eyes saw her movements, and he grabbed her hand in his as he sat down, handing her the cold glass of water.

“drink, we can leave now, okay?” he whispered, she didn’t reply, only gave him a grateful glance. she gulped down the water, placing the glass on the coffee table in front of her. immediately after, mick stood up, dragging her up with him. “thank you for tonight, but we have to leave now, we’ll see you all later,” mick said, lifting his hand and giving them a wave as he started walking. (y/n) did the same, a small wave as she followed mick.

once they were outside, she let out a deep breath, the cold air gave her goosebumps, but she needed the chilly air right then.

“are you okay? what happened?” he asked, she shook her head, giving him a small smile.

“nothing, i just got a headache, i’m fine.” she answered.

“are you sure, i-”

“yes, i’m fine. can you drive home? i- i don’t feel too good,” she handed him the car keys. mick took the opportunity to hold her hand and pull her close.

“baby, talk to me. it’s me.” he asked again, but she kept the same look on her face.

“i told you, i’m fine.” she didn’t want to worry him with her issues, it was better to keep it that way.

the drive home was tense, mick knew there was something wrong, but at the same time, he didn’t want to pressure her if she wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. as they got home, she hopped in the shower, ridding herself of the blue dress she was wearing and letting the water wash away the makeup she’d put on earlier that night. meanwhile, mick sat on their bed, waiting for her to step out so they could talk. as she was in the shower, she tried her hardest to think about something other than the comments she’d read minutes ago. it was unbelievable how words from a stranger could impact her in such a hard way. as she stepped out and walked into the bedroom, mick noticed her red, puffy eyes.

“(y/n)...”

“i’m okay,” she said. she thought that if she kept repeating the words over and over, eventually, they’d come true.

“(y/n), i can see that’s not true. you’re lying to me, again. please, just tell me the truth, what happened?” he tried his hardest to make his words come out soft, gentle, as he didn’t want her to retrieve even more, but he was feeling desperate, he wanted to help her, but he didn’t know how.

she started playing with her nails again, her skin getting goosebumps. her heart broke as she saw mick’s worried face. she sighed, walking to her nightstand and grabbing her phone. the comments were the first thing she saw, since she’d just locked her phone, not bothering to close the app back when she was in the bathroom at their friends’ place. she walked to mick, handing him the phone. he cursed under his breath, standing up and wrapping his arms around her.

“you know none of that is true. you know you’re beautiful, and strong, so kind and understanding. you’re perfect inside and out,” he said, she had her head tilted down, avoiding his gaze. he didn’t want to pressure her, so he kept talking without directing her eyes to his. “you’re quite possible the best person i know.” he continued, but he could tell that the loud thoughts were still rushing through her head. he sighed, “put on something warm, we’re going on a walk.”

they walked in silence, until they reached a bridge that connected both sides of the city, overlooking the river that divided it in two. it was cold, she could see her breath coming out in a cloud of smoke as she exhaled. they stopped right in the middle of the bridge, the night sky reflecting on the water below.

“look at the stars,” he said, walking behind her. he wrapped his arms around her stomach and pulled her back to him. he could still feel her stiff back. he leaned down, resting his chin on her shoulder, “they’re shining just for you,” he said softly.

“that’s not true,” she responded. 

“it’s true, look how they shine,” he pointed to the water, that distorted the shape and shimmer of the night lights, “the way you see the stars is not the same way i do. they shine and sparkle and glimmer just the right way you need them to." he moved his head, pressing his lips against her neck. "how bright are they shining right now?" he asked her. she took a moment to reply, eyes traveling from the sky to the water below.

"they're really bright. they're like little lights," she whispered, and mick kissed her cheek. she closed her eyes as she smiled, leaning into his touch.

"my mom used to tell me that the more light you need, the brighter they are," he felt as her breath hitched, he turned her around slowly, her back against the stone railing. his fingers wrapped around her entire back, pressing her front against his, being as close as they could be. “that you can ask the stars for their light, and once you take their light, you can turn it into something beautiful.”

“so, essentially, i’m killing a star?”

“no, they stay with you, for the rest of your days, you carry those little stars with you, in your skin, your bones, and everything you do. you become a yellow,” he said, her heart was pounding in her chest as he never broke eye contact, “you are my yellow,” he finished, a small smile on his lips as he saw her eyes tearing up. “i know you sometimes feel like… your thoughts get loud, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it, but what i can do is be there for you. it doesn’t matter what you’re going through, i’ll be there with you. i can sit with you and talk if you need someone to hear you out. i’ll put on a show and sing your favorite song if you need a distraction. my love for you has no limits, there’s nothing i wouldn’t do for you. even if you can’t see an escape, a light at the end of the tunnel, my love will always be there. my love will not let you down. i can be your yellow, just like you are mine.”

“i don’t deserve you,” she mumbled, there were tears falling down her face, tears that he softly wiped away with his thumbs.

“i am never going to leave you, i promise. i will be there for you, to hold your hand, or hug you, kiss you or just sit down next to you in silence. we’re a team, okay? i will try my best to lift you up whenever you need it. i promise.”

“thank you,” she said, throwing his arms around his neck, burying her face in his chest. “i love you, so, so much,” her voice came out muffled, but she refused to lean back.

honestly, kind of a crime because pda was soooo good like i downloaded it and im not ashamed to say that. like they were so cute and i just love them and the fact that they're so affectionate towards one another even after 2 years. which is something i really like in your writing is that all of your couple (at least the ones i'm thinking of) are just so love-y towards each other and they're in love and they support one another and just i love them.

I’m a whore for established relationship fics hence why I write so many of them. And pda is like my baby, either and or the written fic or the smau companion piece to it. And I try my best to write relationships as supportive/good (i won’t use the word healthy because healthy is different for every relationship). The affection between them was my favorite thing to write. PDA is regarded as fairly gross or immature, if it goes beyond holding hands or a quick peck on the lips and I’m just like… why? I too am like Logan in PDA, if I want to kiss or cuddle my (hypothetical) partner I’m going to do it, I don’t care if I’m in public. Also you downloaded it??? Brb need to cry. That is so sweet.

Max being a menace is canon in all my fics, I don’t think I’ve written a single fic that either is for Max or has Max in it where he isn’t somewhat a menace. In Made For Each Other, we have Max causing issues with PR. In Private Professor, we once again have a bit of PR and then also him just handing out invitations and the universe rewarding his chaos with the FIA official coming in before anyone can ask any questions. And then in Causing Problems we have Max being a menace but moreso in the assholeish sense and doing what the title suggests, Causing Problems. (also that fic, I don't know what my brain was cooking when it came up with that idea, but damn. I’m messy)

I know what fic you're talking about with Max and princess impersonator! (I literally just reread it last night), that isn’t one of my fics but is a fic that I think I reread about once a week. Honestly though everything by @dilemmaontwolegs is god tier and I can't rec them enough. 

Also, Max strikes me as the kind of guy that no one expects to believe in love at first sight (he doesn’t) or for it to happen, but in fic verses, I can see it happening to him. I can see him hearing his friends talk about it and him rolling his eyes, scoffing, telling them not to think with their dicks too hard, but then it happens to him (like in Made For Each Other) and he gives no fucks, that is the love of his life and love at first sight is real thank you very much. 

The angst won’t be that bad for the Max fic! I promise! It will be fairly brief (I believe) and will mainly be due to him and his one brain cell that isn’t dedicated to all things racing.

so, I haven't been online much bc I've just been in a weird limbo lately and I'm really busy when I'm at home either sorting stuff out or, with my PDA, doing anything I can to avoid my responsibilities lmao

I've been locked out of the systems at work for a bit, but I still need to be there and wait for the IT ticket to be sorted, so I've gotta be at my desk, cant have my phone or anything, so instead of sitting there doing nothing, I've either been reading, doing codeword puzzles, or I've been writing up 'drafts' for potential fanfics.

in this year of our sufferer 2024. I've been writing up some self indulgent homestuck college AU lmao. I've written over 60 sides of a5, (not inc the inbetween sections where I wrote some stuff on the chromebook at home) some notes, some accidental first draft, bc I wanted something to take up the time. but my handwriting is terrible, I don't write fast enough for my brain, I have a lil dyslexia so the letters and words get jumbled sometimes, and I have this weird thing where I don't do spaces right. but I've been trying to upload it to Google docs with Bixby's photo text extraction. it's pretty good considering how bad my writing is, then I just need to go through and touch it up, the main issues are things like names, there's some letters I do weird like my v turns into an r, or every p it thinks is a capital, but overall. amazing how technology do that.

(see my long ass rambling isn't just confined to venting. I also pretend to write actual things. you can still leave you know. I'm not holding you hostage until you read all this. you have free will)

can't remember how I ended up back in fanfic hell but I read back through like all my old published fics (aside from the cringe ones I orphaned) and the writing isn't terrible. I don't think I actually finished any of them though, which really shows my true nature lmao,,, but I've picked up a few things on my writing style now. and I've got a few things I see other people do that I wanna avoid bc I personally don't like it, and it's mostly about balance, like using names too often/not enough, being too descriptive like All The Time and making the writing really nice, but not much happens in the story so you take like an hour to read each scene, vs not enough description so everything is happening but you don't really get a visual or a breather to appreciate what's happened so far. I've been working on finding my right balance, which is imo easier if you're writing fanfic bc first up you hardly ever have to describe the characters. if someone's reading it they already know who they are. and for scenes you can take some inspo from the source material. does the original work put alot of effort into setting a cool scene? if not, then you don't have to either! if it's 90% scenery then you've gotta do it too I don't make the rules

I'm losing steam now I'm so sleepy and I've gotta go to work in a bit ugh.

hi!!! i finally finished reading the backburner and! i have a lot of thoughts!

i'm sorry if it is too long, i caught flashbacks from my english literature class and started analyzing everything....

firstly, i think i told you before when i've read infrunami, but i absolutely love how you mix feelings/thoughts of the characters and the actual plot and action. you amazingly good at writing it all naturally, that i as a reader do not feel lack of information or overdose of iti love that you use small actions, glances/kisses/hesitations to kiss to describe how they feel and what they think, and not just straight up telling it

secondly, speaking about cheol/oc parallels, i agree that they're both red flags, but oc seems to be more of a pinkish red?¿ i mean, yes, she is a lil silly and blind and does not see the way mingyu looks at her before the kiss, but i wouldn't say mingyu is a backburner for her. you are the author and i can't argue, but to me it seems that she is not self-aware? like, she made sure cheol knew what she wanted out of their relationships, they were not friends before. and cheol is a manipulative leo, who wants attention and backup plans. in the episode in the 2nd version when oc rejects him he is fully aware that he hurts her, all his words, it is a calculated move, he is self-aware red flag and, i guess, just does not want to do anything about it?? but as for the oc.... i mean, she is not a good person either, but mingyu never told her hpw he felt?? and she is not supposed to read his mind?? mingyu is the best boy and my sunny bunny and deserves being appreciated but like i don't think the oc conciously hurted him🤷‍♀️

This is a Fault In Our Stars Alicissa AU, for those of you who aren't familiar to the book it's about two childhood cancer survivors falling in love, it's so dear to my heart and I yearn to finish it (I will finish it eventually)

So this one is Mary and Regulus teaming up to find a spy in the order ranks, I love the concept but like I wrote it and then sort of forgot about it and now my writing feels like it's evolved and changed a lot, but I want to get to it again, even if it means rewriting the first few chapters

This was meant to be a long Mary cannon compliant fic but like it didn't really get much attention and ik it's unhealthy but external validation is my only motivator atp

( aka something i assumed would fit into like 11k bc it's just blank lines of dialogue...actually ends up being 20k-30k with words fml )

so for my sake ( and possibly all of yours ), i'm thinking of maybe writing smaller updates...which will be more manageable for me than committing to months worth of work. they might flow less well, but that way you guys get content, i feel happy that i could post something/share stuff with you, my chest feels lighter. which is not to say the quality will be worse...it'll just be less daunting for me?

a lot of my stress unfortunately comes to sitting on all this writing and lore and not being able to post it until im Done...so i'm hoping that shorter chaps plus the relaxed formatting...and doing nice ask memes w/ breaks will really make me less stressed!

ayup it’s the person that sent those vera things like a week ago ?? yk the one that made a fool of themself by rambling about ur oc ! anyways i reread it bc ofc i did and. idk. it’s such an amazing fic like genuinely and i felt a need to express it. like outside of how well-thought vera is and how interesting her dynamics with marvin + leon are (and claire ofc) and just. the pacing and story progression. it’s all so well done. and i’m sure someone has told u this in ur ao3 comments but the way ur reinterpreting canon a lil and having vera shake things up is so fun and genuinely interesting which is why i went back and reread it all. it feels like there’s a lot i kinda missed the first time round with the nuances of vera’s character which was. very fun to go back around and see again. hope ur doing well <3

first of all you are A CHAD. The fic is 100K words oh god I can't imagine -- im happy it was more enjoyable the second time around at least 😭😭😭😭 It's amazing to hear that despite the fat word count, you think the pacing and progression is going well!

Unrelated tidbit but I really didn't know how to introduce Vera before starting the fic and was debating on starting from pre-RE2R in the summer of 1998, spend five chapters and so with Vera assisting Jill in her investigation and unravel things from there. But at the end I was like "literally nobody would read that" and thought what best technique is there by starting right in the middle of action and chaos? And the rest I winged it.

That had to mean I had to go through EVERYTHING about her life and how she got to that point by peppering the events throughout the plot as Leon and her story also progressed alongside it, and I couldn't gloss over anything, so it just expanded and expanded and expanded and I'm sure got boring as hell at places since she hides a bunch of shit from the others and good god do they have to be integrated to the plot of re2r AND UGHHHHHHHH. Thank you for telling me I havent messed up LMAOOOOOOO

About the canon. I have a bone to pick with some of the game and the story, I don't like how they went about a couple of things. This is me trying to lay the groundwork to fix them and everything by tweaking .

For example Leon pulling the "i have to talk to the chief first" bs and saying "Idk what happened it happened to fast" to ada like he was trying to make excuses like a child to his parent really irked me, especially in the original re2 he bent over backwards to get ben out of the cell so he could come along with them. (dont talk to me about how a law-abiding rookie he's supposed to be. that could have been done better. leon simply isn't a person to leave someone like that, and he was hearing about chef irons the writing on that could have been better) And the way Claire and Leon barely interacted when they are the core of re2 together was just not it. The lack of Sherry and Leon together was also weird when Sherry is a big part of why he was taken by the government and stayed, and how Sherry blatantly says he saved her in RE6. (I know they just completely wiped the slate clean off Sherry and Leon with RE4R backstory by just saying Leon just didnt have a choice but like. yeah) and also Ada. God Ada "(to the woman she wants to discreetly capture. since she's A SPY) We're here for the g-virus and i will now proceed to jump in front of the bullets" & "Where's Leon when I need him (has treated him as a nuisance the whole way)" Wong. Im sure there are a lot more things but i cant think of them rn but I am annoyed with Things

SORRY I JUST WENT OFF ON A TANGENT. But like. Having Vera involved and having her existence be a reason on changing things around is so much fun. I could just expand on child experimentation and the truth of the orphanage through her, it was always something wildly bothering me that they kept that plot so subtle in Claire's story. Birkins (or maybe just William. we'll never know) were using children in G-virus experiments WHY DIDNT THEY TALK ABOUT THAT MORE DUDE? That's why canon divergence makes things so much more interesting because it's not just transcribing the game and inserting an OC along the way, it's changing things and making new things up, keeping things fresh
