Luffy: OOOOOOIII! Traffy!

Law: "Obviously happy to see him" Well, here we go again

"Penguin, Shachi and Bepo nodded to each other, when Luffy was running to his partner. Before Luffy could go for a hug, they covered their captain like a wall"

Luffy: Eh?

Law: What are you guys doing?

Shachi: Alright, Straw Hat! This play dates were going on for quite a while, but we cannot stay silent any longer!

Bepo: Yes, we won't!

Bepo: "Leans to Shachi and Penguin and whisper" Ahh... About what exactly we cannot stay silent?

Shachi: "Whispers back" Dude! Just play along!

Bepo: Ahh! Okay!

Luffy: What's that all about, Traffy? Did they got sick or something?

Law: That is exactly what I'm trying to figure out...

Penguin: Yes, we are sick! Sick of your lies and manipulations!

Luffy: "Confused" Eeeeeeehhh????

Law: Hey, guys!

Penguin: We know, you toying with our captain! You just gonna leave him when you'll get sick, right!? Our captain? But you're not gonna get away with it! We have the evidence!

Penguin: Bepo! Shush! It's the bluff to make him scare!

Shachi: Yeah, you idiot! We just don't want our captain to get his heart broken, that's all! Who knows, what awful things this Straw Hat can do to him!

Luffy: What are you guys whispering about? Is it meat? Did I eat your meat and that's why you angry at me? Sorry, it smelled too tasty!

Shachi: What!? No! We were- wait a sec!.. Was that you!?

Penguin: Bro, he's changing the subject! Let's just beat the hell out of him, so he won't dare to lay a finger on captain!

Shachi: Ah! That's right! Those guys like you are always trying to seduce our captain! And that's our duty to protect his pure heart from such scumbags like you!

Law: Wha-!? Guys, enough with this nonsense! What the hell are you talking about?

Shachi: Captain! You were a person who laid us on the right track by beating the complete crap out of us that day! We're never gonna forget that!

Penguin: So we're gonna fight for your happiness! You're not gonna suffer from any of those fuckers who decided to toy with your feelings anymore!

Luffy: .....

Luffy: "Cracking his fists" I see... So that's how it is...

Luffy: "Smirking" Well, you left me no choice then!

Law: Straw Hat-ya...

Luffy: "Slowly walking to them" You guys...

Shachi: Ahh... H-hey! You didn't heard what we said, huh? You must be deaf! W-we're gonna beat the whole crap outta you!

Bepo: Guys, I have a feeling that we're the one who get our asses kicked

Law: Hey, Luffy-ya!

"Shachi, Penguin and Bepo slowly turned their heads to Luffy and swallowed hardly"

Luffy: "Bowing deeply" To thank you, guys, so much!

Everyone, including Law: HUH!?

Luffy: Thank you for looking out for Traffy! I know, he might be a little grumpy and shy to ask for help, but I'm truly happy that there is people, who cares about his well-being!

Shachi: You... Do?..

Luffy: Yes, of course I am! Phew! I'm so relieved to know he's not alone! You guy's, please, continue doing a great job!

Law: "Blushing" Hey...

Bepo: So you do care about captain?

Luffy: Of course! I love him so much, I can't stop thinking about him! He had some problems eating when we were on our way to Dressrosa... Does he eat well? And sleep too? When I'm not with him I can't stop worrying about his well-being 24/7! But know that I know that you guys care about him as much as I do, I can finally rest at ease!

"Law's Protection Squad stares at Luffy in shock. And then they tear up. And then they gaved him a big hug"

Penguin: NO PROBLEM, STRAW HAT! YOU'RE A PART OF OUR FAMILY NOW, YA LOVABLE BASTARD!

❤️Grasping your hand tight, he’ll pull you along wherever he goes which proves that he’s clingy to you.

“Oi, stay ‘side me, kay?” He’ll always say. And you’ll fully comply because you wouldn’t want to leave him either.

❤️The only issue is that he’ll sometimes have to let go when he has to do something busy, which pains both you and him.

Zoro.

💚He can’t sit there and act like he likes it when you’re like that, he finds it a bit tedious and tricky to deal with. But he deals with it because he loves you very much.

Sabo.

💜Sabo’s fine with you being clingy, that way he knows that you’ll be by his side wherever he goes. He cares for you too much to allow you to leave his side.

💜One of the only times he’ll leave you alone is when you’ve settled down at home and he’s going out for errands and such.

“Cmon angel, it’s not gonna take so long. You can wait for me can’t you?”

💜He promised you that he’ll be back to cuddle you as soon as he can.

Law's Petname

A/N: Idk what this is...it's like half essay half story??? Once again bear with me lol

It took me forever to come up with a petname for Law whenever I write him. I think he'd be fine with babe and hon, maybe sweetheart, but the idea that his s/o wouldn't have a silly petname for him that's a little embarrassing doesn't seem right to me.

Because let's be honest as serious as Law is, I can't imagine he isn't (probably unconsciously) attracted to people that are goofy and silly. I mean, look at his crew and his friendship with Luffy (despite how he protests), and it probably goes back to Cora. A really goofy person who really, really cared about him and loved him. And even more so it could go back to his family. I may not be caught up on One Piece, but he sister was the one trying to drag him to a fair(? Parade?) to have some fun when he was trying to study.

His s/o trying to get him to have fun and tease him a little is basically a form of saying "I love you" to him. Whether they succeed or not in getting him to take chill pill and laugh doesn't matter, but I think the effort means a lot.

All this is to say as much as he would probably pretend to hate having a ridiculous mushy petname, he'd probably love it. So of course he would have one and then it came to me.

Buttercup

Mostly because of his hair. This feels cringe, but cringe is dead (mostly) and I'm trying to make a point.

LOOK AT HIS HAIR AND THEN LOOK AT HERS

Am I crazy? Looks a little like Buttercup. Hence the nickname.

I just imagine Law, not wearing his hat, half awake shuffling into the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. His eyes are barely open he's so sleepy because he was up all night. He doesn't even realize you're there into you say

Buttercup Because his hair reminds you of a cartoon you used to watch as a child.

And he kind of hums gruffly not even processing what you said, just that his beloved spoke. And then it kind of...sticks. It's the first petname outside of babe that feels right when you say it.

The first time he registers that you've called him Buttercup, he blushes so hard. Out of the kindness of your heart respect for him you don't try it out until the two of you are alone. "Having a sleepover" as you call it, but you just sleep in Law's bed most nights these days so it's not really worth calling "a sleepover" if it's the norm. Resting your head on Law's chest and lazily tracing his tattoos you say, "you're so cozy, Buttercup." When you feel him tense you look up at him and his face is so red. He ducks his head in an attempt to hide his face, but there's no use.

So you say it again. "Like your new name? You're my Buttercup."

It takes him a moment to compose himself and ask where you got that from and explain that his hair reminds you of character named Buttercup from a show you watched when you were little.

And of course he's gonna act like he hates it when people are around, but he never once tells you to stop.

One Piece Chapter 1069 - Initial Thoughts

And we're back again, CP0 are here and Luffy has crossed paths with Lucci

You can smell a fight in the air and contrary to some people's beliefs We are far from done in Egghead

Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release

I dunno about you but a science division run by one of the Underworld bosses would've been a big red flag anyway, let alone it being called MADS and involving the ruler of the 'Evil Army'

Picking up where we left off with the stand off, but also maybe a bit more of a gratuitous ass shot from the unconscious Bonney which could've gone without

Luffy getting the 'oh yeah, technically we're the baddies' realisation, then again CP0 are intruding too

Translations on my site have given Kaku a weird verbal tic now he's very "cock'n-ay" with 'It's da Straw Hat crew'

Since Luffy's a Yonko though they can't attack without permission, since it could lead to another Marineford situation

Stussy tells the subordinates to alert the marines, so there won't be any more keeping it secret, meanwhile Luffy leaves Bonney with Jinbe

Luffy though finds Atlas KO'd asking Chopper to help (though it is kinda true that Franky may be better suited), and when Lucci points out it doesn't involve him, he makes it his business

You give Luffy food you're his friend for life them's just the rules

Lucci's got that 'I need to avenge that loss' look in his eyes

Word travelled quick to Akainu that Luffy's in Egghead

Seems the Fleet Admiral at least was clued in on Cipher Pol keeping tabs on Vegapunk, not sure if he knew about the assassination plot

Knowing the risk of Vegapunk's genius defecting to pirates, Akainu wastes no time sending Kizaru, though Kizaru's already gone there

At all cost? Yeah no Lucci's already fighting Luffy

Lucci's got an Awakening too

Oda sure loves the Shinto deity scarf thingy doesn't he? Looks cool though

Vegapunk Stella arrives at the lab quickly to get a look at Gear Fifth

Nami come on, you should be able to tell that Luffy's forms have a theme

But it's time that the lab group of the Straw Hats get clued in on the truth of the Gomu Gomu no Mi - because if Jinbe were there he'd know of Nika via Who's-Who

Luffy is of course messing with Lucci though

It's also funny that Vegapunk's like 'he looks just like a god!' and the rest of the crew's just 'wtf ossan that's no god it's just Luffy'

Vegapunk also has a Devil Fruit lore theory, he believes that Devil Fruits are the potential for branched evolution, that the fruits become manifestations of human desires to be something else

It's an interesting theory but why would people think 'Oh I wish I could swim through ground' or 'wouldn't it be cool to be able to slow objects down for 30 seconds'

He also theorizes since these transformations are perversions of nature, that the sea - the mother of all nature - rejects them, so that's why DF users can't swim

He does make a point of saying it's not factual, meaning that the potential for 'gods' can still be flimsy

Out comes Sentomaru with the 3 Seraphim, he sees Luffy and expects that the orders are to fight him, but is surprised when it's the contrary

Sentomaru is put in a bit of a predicament since attacking CP0 will mean potential treason, so Vegapunk does play the emotional blackmail card

But Sentomaru chooses Vegapunk, and orders S-Bear to turn on CP0, since his orders outrank CP0

So it seems that the Seraphim have a hierarchy of authority; Gorosei, Vegapunk, Sentomaru and then whoever holds an 'authority chip' - bit of a risk putting your word second in authority isn't it?

Kaku also laments that they can't destroy the Seraphim since they are valuable assets, which means Lucci has put them in a lot of shit right now

Per Sentomaru's orders, S-Snake is set to escort the Straw Hats to safety, I wonder if that brings Brook and Zoro into play, also how will they react to a kid Boa?

S-Shark and S-Hawk are set to fight CP0

Chopper and Jinbe notice the Seraphim now, as well as their likeness, seems that Jinbe's not too shocked more surprised that they would clone the warlords

Luffy then gets to chat with Sentomaru, clearing up that he did agree to help Vegapunk out

We know that Sentomaru respects Luffy, but he's not quite there as an ally within the navy, still wary of the pirate

But the chit chat leaves him open for Lucci to attack, knowing that killing Sentomaru will eliminate his position in the authority hierarchy and give them command of the Seraphim

Annnnnd Shonen Jump now is on the break ¬_¬

I told you not to underestimate Lucci

He can't beat Luffy 1v1 at Gear Fifth but the fact that he's fighting Gear Fifth Luffy in his Awakened Form shows how strong he is. Plus with Sentomaru out it's clear that killing Vegapunk eliminates the hierarchy threat of them turning the Seraphim against the WG

Of course, the Vegapunks could still outrank CP0's orders, but it depends if they have voice commands in the area, plus I doubt Sentomaru's insta-dead so we may have some time, also S-Snake may not be in proximity to hear CP0's orders.

Nevertheless we're getting things going down, half the crew now know that Luffy isn't simply a rubber man, the only ones who don't are Jinbe, Chopper, Zoro, Brook and Luffy himself. Kizaru is on his way - which hopefully means Atlas' gloves are gonna come into play - but how will he react to Sentomaru's state, given how the marine calls him 'uncle'?

We've yet to hear from Zoro or Brook, Kuma may also be on his way, we don't know why S-Bear is a problem child, the lab group of the Straw Hats will need to do something (particularly Franky since this is meant to be his arc) and Bonney still has a role to play, on top of all that Kaku and Stussy are bound to do more than watch on the sidelines too, and seeing Lucci attack another person Luffy's friendly with is bound to set him off. So if any of you think we're at the 'leaving Egghead' stage of the arc, think again.

It's only just begun.

sabo only has to shiver once for ace to undo the scarf from his neck a little bit and wrap the extra around sabo's own. it pulls them closer together, shoulders pressed through their layers, and the heat that runs up sabo's neck to his face is something he can't blame on the cold.

he lets out a nervous laugh but doesn't do anything else. the bleachers are still cold but it hardly matters anymore. his head tilts to look at ace, meeting the eyes already watching him close.

"okay?" he asks. just to make sure. he says it quietly, even among the press of bodies. just for sabo.

"yeah," sabo mutters, turning away again. down on the field, the home team is getting ready to defend in the first inning. it's easier to watch them move around than it is to think about being so obviously together with ace where everyone can see. a player waving up at the stands gets his attention, if only because ace raises a hand to wave right back. he squints. "is that luffy?"

"that would be him," ace answers. "it's hard to tell from so far away, but the number matches."

nine, then, sabo thinks, committing the number to memory. it's funny, actually, how he's met luffy so many times, and yet he's never been to one of his games until now.

his phone buzzes but he ignores it to wave back, when ace nudges him with his shoulder. luffy claps his hands together over his head and then focuses on his teammates again.

"sabo!"

sabo jumps at the call of his name. he looks down the aisle to see two of his classmates at the base of the stairs. they're all smiles and grins, looking between him and ace, and sabo forces himself to smile back the best he can. he waves back when bonney does so first. they must take this as an invitation, because koala pulls them up the stairs and crams them into the empty space to sabo's immediate left.

"someone doesn't check their messages," bonney says from behind koala's shoulder.

sabo blinks, one hand already moving to his phone. "was it important?"

"no." she waves him off. "i'm just teasing you."

"hi, ace," koala says, bending to see ace from past sabo.

"yo," he returns. "you look warm."

her eyes narrow. "really? i could say the same to you."

"oh, this?" ace picks at his end of the scarf and sabo sits up straight. his eyes find the field, suddenly finding it very interesting to watch both teams line up.

bonney gets koala in the side. "hey, leave them alone."

"like you aren't doing the same thing."

they start bickering and sabo tunes them out, focused instead on the way ace's hand reaches into his pocket to wrap around sabo's own. he turns his head a little, careful not to collide with ace, and blinks owlishly at him.

"cold?" ace asks, stilling from where he'd been rubbing his thumb over sabo's knuckles.

"no, no, it's fine." sabo has to face forward again, feeling like he might be blinded by the sight of ace if he keeps staring. the girls giggle on his other side and his lips purse, but he doesn't pull away. he scoots closer, actually, knocking one knee to ace's own.

"hey," ace starts, waiting until the first batter is up to do so. he slides his hand out of sabo's pocket, angling his body a little in sabo's direction. "are you still tired?"

"nah," sabo replies. he'd popped in a piece of energy gum when they first arrived to the field. it's run its course, now, leaving him wide awake. "why?"

he looks over to humor ace but promptly forgets that fact when ace's hand settles on the back of his head, musing his hair. ace pulls him forward from the hold and sabo opens his mouth to suck in a breath. his response to being caught by surprise gets taken advantage of, ace moving in and slotting their lips together, curling his tongue inside of sabo's mouth. he pulls away just as quickly, not wanting to linger, and promptly turns to watch the first batter pop a fly to third. he grins for a moment, bearing his teeth to the cold, then closes his lips to start chewing on the gum he'd just stolen.

sabo, meanwhile, turns dark red. when ace pulls away sabo stays stuck there for a good second, trying to process what had just occurred. when it dawns on him, he gapes, tries and fails to speak, and resorts to burying half his face under the cover of the scarf. he's not facing ace anymore, too embarrassed to do so, especially when he did something like that in front of so many people.

but when ace lowers his arm to curl over sabo's side, sabo still lets himself get dragged closer. he leans into the hold himself, eyes still on his feet but shoulder pressed against ace's chest.

"i can't believe you just did that," he mumbles from beneath the scarf.

"game's started, babe," ace notes, still chewing. "no one cares."

"i'd beg to differ," he mutters, but leaves it at that.

🍖Luffy doesn't mind holding hands or little pecks here and there in public.

🍖But holding his hand comes with consequences... be prepared to be dragged from placed to place in a public shopping mall or market cause he won't let go when he runs from food course to food course.

🍖But when it comes to PDA kissing, he only allows the quick peck on the lips or cheeks he doesn't do the long make out session. His not one to sit still in one place for too long.

⚔Zoro doesn't care.

⚔He dates you cause you are you.

⚔He has never been really the one to judge based on looks but when he met you he saw nothing but the most beautiful thing in the world.

⚔He has a really direct personality and isn't really the one to talk much or too clingy.

⚔Zoro doesn't have a solid job he switches from part time to part time, and one of his joba is the reason he met his s/o.

⚔He got lost on his way too your school and ended up bumping into you, literally.

⚔He nicely asked for directions and you gladly let him tag along with you, even though he sometimes turns the wrong way.

⚔It turned out he applied as a substitute teacher for a month at the boys kendo club.

⚔Than started dating. You later on met his group of friends which surprised you though to him not being a kind of person to hang out with a loud bunch but thier his life long friends and good people, you ended up liking them quicker than your school friends.

⚔Zoro's parents have already passed away and his is the only child so it was sad that you didn't get to meet his family and thank them for making this hard working lovable idiot.

⚔It took you awhile to work up the courage to let your family meet Zoro. It's not that you care about if they liked him or not all you wanted to know if they'll let you be with him and keep loving your marimo.

🚬It surprised you since Sanji wasn't really violent around you much, but knowing he'd even get into a fight to protect you. Made you happy and felt loved. He is the blonde cook you fell in love with after all.

We were now back home and Jemila and the rest were back now. When Jemila saw Jamal, I saw a look I've never seen on her face before. If looks could seriously kill, Jamal would be 90 feet underground. She quickly fixed her face before anyone could see her. "Y/N, let me see your piercing," she said, smirking. I threw up a peace sign and put my tongue in between my two fingers, showing off my tongue piercing. "Ouuuu," she said. "Y/N, you lesbian?" Tanaka said.

"No, I'm pansexual," I laughed. "I knew that," he said. "Sure you did," I said, shaking my head. "Since when are you pansexual?" Jamal said. "Huh?" everyone but me and Jemila said. Stupid. "I mean, Tanaka never told me that," he said, quickly realizing his mistake. "I didn't know either," Tanaka laughed. "Your tongue piercing is cool, Y/N," Noya said. "Thank you," I smiled. Everyone sat down on the couch but Jemila and I went to my room. I locked the door and we both sat down on my bed.

"Bruh, what do we do?" Jemila said. "I have no idea," I said in pure honesty. Right when I was about to do something, the front door closed. I went out and saw that Noya, Kageyama and Koharu were gone. "Where'd they go?" we both said. "Bakery," Tanaka said. "WAIT TANAKA COME HERE," I said, pulling out my phone. "Pose," I said. Tanaka posed, stuck out his tongue and I took a picture. "Imma post this," I said. I went in my camera roll on Instagram and posted the picture and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Well, I'm about to go home, see you guys later," Tanaka said. "NO," I said. "Could you please stay longer?" I said. "Sorry, love but I'll come back tomorrow," he said. If we're even ALIVE by then..."Okay, bye," Jamal said in that fake innocent tone of his. As soon as Tanaka shut the door, Jemila and I quickly ran as fast as our feet could take us to the room but we didn't make it in time. Jamal quickly pushed the door open causing the door to hit my arm.

"Did you think I wouldn't find you?" he said, slowly stepping towards us. He grabbed my arm tightly and didn't let go. "Fuck, let me go," I said, wincing. He dug his nails into my arm so deeply that blood started coming out of my arm. "LET HER GO," Jemila yelled as she repeatedly punched Jamal on his back. He let go of my arm and punched Jemila so hard she fell unconscious. Blood pooled around Jemila's head as she was sprawled on the floor. "NO," I yelled as I tried to run to help her. But Jamal grabbed my body and threw me into my shelf. My back hit the wood and a sharp pain coursed through my body. He took out a pocket knife and slowly walked over to me.

A/N: Damn, Jemila slumped. LMFAOOAOA LEMME STOP TF )

As you guys know, I always carry a pocket knife. I quickly pulled it out and stabbed him in his right thigh. He yelled out in pain and I took this opportunity to help Jemila. I went over to her and ripped a piece off of my shirt to try and stop the bleeding any way I could. Then I was pulled back by Jamal. He sat on top of me and pinned my arms down. I kicked my legs around, trying anything to get out of his grip but I couldn't. He tied my arms and legs together with duck tape and snatched the knife from me. Then he took his knife and started carving, extremely slowly into my skin. I can't explain to you the sheer agony I felt as he slowly pierced the knife through my skin. I screamed out loud but he quickly put duck tape over my mouth.

"Please, why are you doing this?" I said, tears now running down my face. "Because you're mine, Y/N. If I can't have you, nobody else fucking can. Wherever you go, I will find you. You can't run or hide," he said. "I'll tell everyone, you won't get away with this bullshit," I said, nearly losing the ability to speak. "If you tell anyone, I'll tell everyone your 'stretch marks' aren't actual stretch marks," he said, giving me the evilest grin a human being could muster. My eyes went wide and my heart dropped. "Just leave me alone, please," I begged.

He walked up and stood on over me. I repeatedly kicked my legs and arms around, trying to get him away from me. Then he started doing what I had feared would never happen in my entire life on this planet. He started unbuckling his belt. "No. Please. Don't," I said, spitting out blood. Blood was dripping out of my lower body and I could barely feel anything. He pulled down my pants quickly and all you could hear were my muffled shouts under the duck tape. He punched me, quickly knocking me out.

I opened my eyes and as soon as I gained consciousness, a stinging pain coursed through my body. I looked down and saw a huge mess on my thighs. They were covered in dried-up blood and I had a bitch ass headache. I tried to get up but I was being held down by my chains. This extra ass nigga. What am I? A dog? I tried to get the chains off me but I couldn't get them off. "Help," I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up but the whole area was dim. "Angie?" I said. "Y/N?" I said.

"What happened? What's going on?" I asked her. "I came here to check on you and Koharu's boyfriend answered the door and then he lured me inside. Then, I was knocked out and I woke up here," she said. Koharu's boyfriend? "Holy fucking shit," I said. "Angie, was he dark-skinned, long dreads, and tall?" I said. "Yes..." she said. "I knew something wasn't right with her," I said. "Where's Jemila," I said, looking around the room. "Y/N..." she said. "No, please don't," I said.

"I can't," I said. "She's not waking up," she said. Tears began flowing down my face again and I was overwhelmed with pain. Then someone walked into the room. I heard loud footsteps on wood so I figured we were in the basement. I could feel someones' aura standing right in front of me. Jamal then lowered his face to my level and eyed me up and down. "Your breath is hot," I said. I could hear Angie giggling from behind me which caused me to laugh.

"I can't believe you fucking raped me. Damn, is the game that hard?" I said, cackling. "Shut up," he said. "Talking about some 'you're mine' don't flatter yourself. The only fan you got is the one on your raggedy-ass ceiling," I laughed. "Stop," he said and I could see my taunting was working. "Never did you just say that," Angie said and I could see she caught on to what I was doing. "My money stretch just like Luffy," I said. "Like Disney these niggas is Goofy," Angie said. "Don't fuck with snake but like Gucci," we both said and started laughing like idiots.

The thing about Jamal is that he has a very short fuse so it didn't take a lot to piss him the fuck off. He quickly got annoyed with Angie and I and went back upstairs. Angie and I started screaming the lyrics to 'I don't wanna do this Anymore' as loud as we could until our voices gave out. "Fuck," someone said. "JEMILA," I yelled. I heard shuffling and I saw Jemila. I'm assuming Jamal didn't chain her since she was passed out. "Help" Angie and I whispered.

Jemila stumbled over to me first and tried to release my chains. "It's locked, shit," she said. "Damn it, he probably has the keys," I said. Jemila bent down to my feet and used her teeth to get the tape off my feet. At least I could walk freely now. I slowly got up and the pain in my thighs accelerated. But if I wanted to get the hell out of here, I would have to bear the pain. Jemila did the same for Angie and now we were all free. I got a small hammer from the corner, Jemila got an ice pick, and Angie picked up a screwdriver. We all slowly crept over the stairs and peeked over our shoulders. When we opened the door, we were met with horrors we never expected in a million years.

Kid and Luffy who's sit on top of freshly killed bear and eating its meat while fully covered in blood: Huh? Why can't we eat raw meat??

I hc that Kid and Luffy have pretty similar childhood.

Kid was a feral child, but instead of having home to sleep or people to care about him, he had nothing, but himself. He also considers Killer his brother or just something like a brother. Perhaps he didn't even knew what the brother/sister/father/mother was, so he just figured that Killer is something that Kid don't want kill.

Killer wasn't a feral child from his birth like Kid was, but instead was left alone on the island by his parents. He knew a lot and was hanging out with Kid to not feel lonely and in danger all the time. Of course, wild life got him twisted too, but he's still pretty intelligent.

They grow protective of each other, hanging out, playing and fighting with the others.

I headcanon that their home was more of the trash island than the solid ground. There was enough of garbage to freely stand on it, but you could sometimes sink deep inside the trashy deep seas.

Killer just noticed that Kid loved doing stuff with the garbage, so he scavenged some engineering book and gifted to Kid. He went "The fuck's a book?", "It's a tones of paper glued together with words, that contains information. This one contains information about engineering", " The fuck's words???". They had to go... Through a lot of explanations Killer's childish brain could come up with. But Kid liked the gift when he understood what he was reading. He actually build a toy robot and was so happy about it. He decided to give it to Killer as a thank you present.

Then they met Victoria who became "a girl they don't want to kill so she can hang with them", and yes, Killer thought of them like siblings.

They kicked some asses, made friendships and alliances, had adventures and made promises to become pirates together.

And then Victoria dies. But unlike Sabo she dies for real. And Kid is devastated. Firstly, because he never thought that someone's death could make him feel so bad (and there were a lot of people and animals dying in here), and secondly, because he loved her dearly. And Killer as the most level-headed person in here (also really devastated, but had to remain calm, because Kid needed him) just stayed there trying to snap him out of it, but the only thing that Kid heard was a fainted "Kid!.. Kid?.. Kid. Don't look at her. Look at me. Look. At. Me. Calm down. I'm here. Please, just calm down. Please". When Kid finally looked at him he just saw how fucking scared and panicked and dirty and wet and bloody his friend was, and it just snapped him out of it.

Kid just brought together the other gang's and defeated the biggest and most dangerous gang in the whole island. I like to believe that after that he couldn't even look at Killer's face again, because the only thing he saw was his face that night. Killer was devastated and hurting much more. He was much intelligent and smart and clearly understood some things better than Kid did, and that's why Kid thought that something that Killer was going through was much worse than he had it. And Kid swore to become much stronger to never see that expression on Killer's face again. And Killer just understood that Kid would never look at his face as usual again, so he just covered it with mask, to make it easier for Kid to look him in the eyes, even if it was just holes.

I like to think that Kid, just like Law, sees Victoria in Luffy: the energetic, stubborn and freedom loving. At first he showed some interest in him, but then just made some parallels, and only then grew much more angry at Luffy for the things none of them couldn't control.

Ouch, that went too far into the angst from the funny silly feral boys doing funny silly feral stuff when their unferal and depressed boyfriend just being angry at them for breaking a lot of sanitary norms.

One Piece Chapter 1068 - Initial Thoughts

Don't think I'm quite adjusted to scanlations showing up on Thursday just yet but I do have a busy Friday tomorrow so I'll take it

Back from break and time for shit to hit the fan, after all

Following up from last chapter, Pythagoras denies CP0 access

Turns out the Kuma Seraphim is called S-Bear, sensing a pattern

Kaku seems to be a little offended by the refusal, though he could just be playing the con

Lucci with the 'does he know?' meme

The G-14 base was mentioned again, are they teasing me or like Carrot just trying to give me a slither that Tashigi and Smoker may indeed appear in Egghead

Lucci though brings up an unusual stat; ships from CP5, 7 and 8 (why 6 get left out?) have disappeared after coming to Egghead

Pythagoras however is curious of this too though, since he remembers signing them out

Lilith meanwhile takes offense, let her fight Lucci at least then she's on our side

Lucci however isn't leaving Egghead empty handed, telling everyone to abandon ship to be at the mercy of the sea beasts, apparently S-Bear's ability will get them all to the island

I mean it could be Kuma's ability itself but that's too overpowered, could be warping since we saw the Stella body testing it out, or it could be Blueno's Door-Door fruit

Meanwhile actual Kuma has peaced out too, he used his fruit for the first time since Marineford too

Back with Team Luffy and Luffy wants to know why Vegapunk wants out

So at least one reason seems to be that Vegapunk's financial well has run dry, though not many others would be rich enough to compensate him

He also intends to make a world of free energy, which already makes him more decent than Elon Musk who backed out of his UN offer

Luffy of course does not have much thoughts on the matter, thankfully Jinbe's there to be the mental sparring partner, noting how resources usually lead to war. Vegapunk, maybe naively, believes if resources are unlimited, it will remove that fuse of war

I can't say I'm an expert but having enough resources doesn't usually end wars, most of the times people want the bigger slice of cake, after all the world can easily end world hunger if they all wanted to, we could give everyone a fair and sustainable wage and we could grant healthcare to the world if we all shared our resources...but we don't, but still at least he's hopeful

Same face from Luffy though XD Oda's putting Luffy in peak comedy mode this arc

Simple Luffy brain though says 'he's doing a good thing so that's good' but also notes he doesn't wanna be a hero, usually meaning that Egghead better prepare to have a gigantic 'Luffy Our Saviour' statue ready

Vegapunk also wants out because he keeps digging into the robot's power source, which leads him to learning more about the Void Century, so he's no longer safe in the WG's clutches

He also mentioned inheriting a friend's will, guessing he means Clover

CP0 - who were ordered not to damage Egghead - then make themselves known with an explosion...

Luffy gets debriefed on CP0 by Jinbe and Vegapunk, since he wasn't present when Robin brought it up in Dressrosa

Kaku's geeking out on the island, I guess he is just that expressive

Situations have now had to be reassessed, so Pythagoras and Shaka start by evacuating citizens, they're also sending out the Jinbe (S-Shark), Boa (S-Snake), and Mihawk (S-Hawk) Seraphim, I guess Blackbeard didn't keep a hold of the latter when he absorbed it into his void

Sentomaru is also here! I mean we know he's been tied to Vegapunk since debuting but it was kinda 'and they're here too!' thing

After Luffy agrees to take Vegapunk - because he has a cool head - Vegapunk notes that they should move Bonney out of the battlefield, but then peaces out alone

Kaku fights the hologram, disappointed to learn that his dream fight with a space monster is just a projection

Bad Pussy Stussy (because she runs the pleasure district) seems to be familiar with Egghead, wonder if she's visitor or former resident, she seems to have a Vivi in Alabasta-esque habit though of saying things a little too late

Poor Kaku...I guess? I kinda feel bad because he's so vibrant but also he's 'evil government dude the sequel' so I can't be too sad about him being hit by the laser grid when he tries to get to the lab...though this trio dynamic is kinda fun

Guess the Straw Hats are fortunate that Shaka is on their side, these lasers probably would've caused them trouble too

Atlas nooo! Don't fight CP0 alone, live to do violence another day

This was a great and fast-paced chapter as well, we got a lot of stuff going on; Luffy vs Lucci II, CP0 vs Seraphim, Atlas potentially dying, and there's still the matter of Zoro and Brook chilling by the ship and Caribou left to his own devices.

We could still very well get Tashigi, Smoker, Doll or the other SWORD people showing up, especially if they catch wind of why CP0 are in Egghead. There's also the matter of where Kuma is off to, since he has the wherewithal to use his DF to set off somewhere.

People do seem to be expecting Luffy to clear Lucci, and I'm not saying that Luffy will lose this fight if it's 1v1 either, but let's not undermine that the last time Luffy fought Lucci he couldn't move for about 3 days out of pure exhaustion, and Luffy isn't the only one who gets stronger over 2 years. The Leopard Man may have some new tricks up his sleeve as well, same for Kaku, though Stussy's knowledge of Egghead does leave me curious.

There's still a lot to cover and I hope we're gonna give the rest of the Straw Hats more to do as well, but now that CP0 know that the Straw Hats are here, Vegapunk can't turn back now.
