Friday June 4th

This week's binge anime:

Juuni Taisen This isn't what I expected at all tbh. I've had this one on my list for a while and I'm pretty stoked to have finally watched it. For those who haven't seen it - It's a killing match between a representative for each zodiac animal. No clue why or how we got here but it's entertaining none the less. It kind of gives me death parade vibes, super gory but also very cool to see their interactions. The battle royale aspect to it is also fun since you have no idea who'll win as each episode goes on. Good at keeping you interested. The last episode hit hard for me, I have no direction right now and I really identify with not having one specific ambition. Maybe I'm not cut out to be born in the year of the tiger.. I think the series ended well and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Initially i planned on rating it a 6 since it was a one off and kind of meh overall compared to others but I really like the last episode so I'll rate it: 7/10

Log Horizon Season 3 This season totally lost me. I think had they ended it in the second it might've been better, or gone off on a separate story line for this season, maybe bringing in more action based of the last season. Listen ZKC has tons of flaws but the sibling dynamic between Fujiko and Kyosuke is golden and their bickering is fantastic.

Tons. Usually it failed to cap my interest after 1-4 episodes, or it got really really boring, or I just started to hate it. If I didn’t set out on a mission to make the fanbase want to murder me I’d have dropped Love Live on episode 1 that show is so trash.

Visually you MUST be up to par, yes I am vain, if something is hideous I will drop it, more importantly the characters above all else MUST be well written, if it’s pretty but I hate everyone i’ll still drop it, I MUST be able to tolerate the music, if the music is shit i’ll drop it.

Nao Toyama to Live-stream Special Program to Celebrate Her Character Song Best Album on August 5

    As reported, voice actress Nao Toyama will release a two-disc character song best album "Special Thanks!" on August 5, 2020, as part of her debut 10th-anniversary project. To celebrate the release, she will live-stream a special web program on her official YouTube channel at 21:00 on the release day (JST) / 03:00 on August 5 (PT). She will accept messages from the fans with the hashtag #なおぼうキャラソンベスト on Twitter.  

  Nao Toyama started her voice actress career in 2010 and her first leading role was Kanon Nakagawa in the TV anime series The World God Only Knows in the same year.
