Snow Blitz
Real name: Isabelle Rose Mahkent
Species: Metahuman
Hair: White
Eye color: blue
Family: Joar Mahkent (grandfather), unknown paternal grandmother (legal guardian), unknown mother, Cameron Mahkent (father)
Affiliation: Titans, Outsiders
Occupation: Vigilante, Bounty Hunter
Biography:
Isabelle was born to her father, Cameron Mahkent. She is also the granddaughter of Joar Mahkent. The identity of her mother is unknown, but she is also a metahuman through her father's ice powers. To avoid letting Isabelle being raised in prison, Cameron asked his mother (whom he had not seen in years) to take her in since he might be in Belle Reve for awhile.
Cameron was only allowed visitations due to his work within the Suicide Squad. Joar also has a soft spot for Isabelle and neither of them push her to commit crimes.
Later, Isabelle discovered her ice powers after being attacked by robbers who threatened her grandmother with a gun. This traumatic experience had awakened her powers as she freezes the robbers in the bank.
Isabelle and her grandmother had a talk. The young metahuman was told to never reveal her powers for fear she might end up a criminal like Cameron and Joar, or would be coerced into working with Warden Walker from Belle Reve. Her grandmother had thoughts about taking full custody of Isabelle to keep her away from her son and ex-husband.
Isabelle did not agree with this. But went along with it due to how close she is to her grandmother. Her grandmother wanted her only grandchild to live as a happy girl, but knew she is unlike any other human being. But Isabelle secretly practices her powers at night in order to keep them in control.
At the age of 9, Isabelle reached elementary school. But one of her male classmates asked about her white hair and said it was weird and tried to attack her. But before she can start a fight. A student named Jonny Kent, steps on and intervene, only to let himself be covered in paint and pushed to the canvases.
Later, after a rough day, Isabelle received a bad grade from a test. When Jonny introduced himself he noticed this and decided to help tutor her for the next one. As Isabelle gets to know Jonny, and was getting better at her grades, and felt better about her hair color after he told her that it was cool, it caused her to develop a crush on him. But it was rather unreciprocated. And was a bit jealous due to Jonny's close friendship with Kathy Branden.
At home, she watches the news about the Outsiders disbanding due to Lena Luthor being elected president of the US and banning vigilantes from intervening, much to her dismay because she is a fan of the Outsiders for advocating for young metahumans, even helped changed the lives of children of former villains. This driven Isabelle to become a vigilante with the mantle, Snow Blitz. Deciding that she wasn't going to let her family's criminal history define who she is.
Now 11, she is working on to reform the Outsiders. During one of her vigilante activities, Snow Blitz encountered Jonny again, this time he is taking the mantle of Superboy, saving him when Vengeance (the clone of Bane) was about to finish him.
Though happy to see him. Superboy told Snow Blitz to go home. This infuriates her, but it didn't stop there as later, she assisted Speedy to rescue Green Arrow after he was captured by Syonide and it ends with Speedy defeating Syonide and Snow Blitz capturing her associates with ice.
Personality:
Isabelle is a preteen who tried to find some purpose in life while being raised by her grandmother. She is aware of her family's criminal history, but accepts the fact since she loves her family, but chose not to commit any crimes.
Isabelle encourages her grandmother to have a talk with her son (Isabelle's father) since she had not seen him after Joar took him under his wing to become a supervillain.
But after discovering her ice powers, Isabelle decides to use them not for evil, but for good (which made her father proud because of his regrets of looking up to his father). In order to make a difference for herself being a fan of the Outsiders.
She became Snow Blitz since her life changed. Energetic and cheerful. Isabelle has a crush on Superboy (Jon Kent) since he treated her like a person, not as a daughter of a former villain. And because of this, she tried her best to impress him. But was jealous of his friendship with Kathy Branden, but knew there was nothing she can do.
But the fact that Superboy treated her like a friend, it was enough for Isabelle to feel enlighten, and will prove to the world that her family history will not define her.

"Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck-" Din narrowly avoided the throwing knives, moving to hide behind a crate. His chest was heaving with heavy breaths; He hadn't had a difficult bounty in a long time. The bounty was well equipped, surprising him and you.
You. Cyar'ika.
Din clocked where you were and relaxed slightly when he saw you hidden behind a crate like he was. If it were up to him, he wouldn't have brought you along and made you stay at the Crest. But, as much as he has faith in his skills as a bounty hunter, it proved difficult to catch this guy and needed you to help him.
Sighing in frustration, he grabbed the crate and charged at the bounty, using the wood to block the knives. He threw the crate away when he got close enough, immediately doging the weapons held by the guy.
He heard you walking out from your own crate, moving to help you detain the bounty. Glancing at you, he admired the way you ran towards the guy, using the bounty's own knives against him. Din loved that about you; The way you used whatever was around you, be it small or big, as a weapon. You adapted quickly in a fight, and that was something that he, as a mandalorian, was attracted to.
You slashed at the bounty, trying to at least nick the skin, but the guy was quick to sidestep it. The bounty was about to retaliate when Din grabbed their shoulder and threw them away from you. Before the guy could get their bearings back, he lunged to put them in a choke hold, flexing his arms to crush their throat.
Mistake. Din rarely made mistakes.
The bounty struggled against him for a moment, clawing at him and failing due to his beskar. But the bounty, before they lost consciousness, threw his the last of his knives towards you,
one,
two,
three-
Three knives impaled your chest, making you stagger and fall backwards. Three seconds as Din watched felt like three hours. Three steps forward, he tried to catch you, yet he was three steps too late.
Your body landed on your back against the rough ground, pained sounds coming out of your mouth. Din didn’t even register tossing the bounty away as he rushed over to you. Kneeling beside you, his hands hovered above the knives deep in your chest with your blood seeping through your clothes and on the floor.
“K-Ka'rta?” Din breathed out, head empty of all the survival first aid training he had when he was still a little foundling. Your head turned to look at him, mouth open as you struggled to breathe. He saw agony and desperation in your eyes that were usually filled with happiness and love for the people, for the galaxy, for him.
You tried to say something to him, but all that came out was a bloody cough. Din shushed you and tried to carry you in his arms. However, your whines put a stop to his movements, worried that he would hurt you more.
"D-Din... It hurts..." You said with a slight wheeze in your voice. Your skin was quickly becoming pale, the blood loss shocking your body to have less oxygen in your system. He shushed you, his hands resting on your cheeks and wiping your tears and blood away.
"I- I can't take the knives out without you bleeding out on me, ka'rta." Din recalled, his brain finally catching up to what happened. "But I can't move you back to the crest either- Fuck!" He swore, feeling frustrated with his limited options. Options he'd rather not take.
You watched him panic in place, your breaths coming out sharp and short, and lifted a hand to his helmet. "My love, you need to leave now with the bounty. You won't be able to handle them if they wake soon."
Din shook his head, gripping your hand tight as he tried not to cry. "No, I will never leave you, ka'rta. Never. There has to be a way."
But there wasn't.
He watched you blink slowly, your blood spreading all over his armour and gloves, your chest rising and falling erratically. He watched you dying in front of him.
"Don't- Don't close your eyes, baby, stay with me, please," He begged, his gloved palms on either side of your head, lifting you up gently to lay you on his lap. You took his hand and pressed a light kiss on the leather, your bloody smile still so goddamn bright.
"You know I'll always be with you, Din." You let out a shaky breath and rested your forehead on the cool metal of his cuisse. Your eyes crinkled at the corners as you stared up at his helmet. He let your fingers caress the sharp angles of his helmet, wishing it was caressing his cheek instead.
You chuckled lightly, and Din furrowed his brows in concern. Before he could ask you what you where thinking about, you said:
"I wonder if I can see your face since I won't be a 'living thing' any longer."
Din felt his breath catch in his throat. He knew, realistically, that the oxygen in your body was decreasing rapidly and weren't getting enough of it in you brain for it to function properly. But, then again, you weren't wrong. The creed specifically said that no living thing could see his face unless they were clan, and he doubted you could manage to recite the mandalorian vows so close to your passing.
So, Din reached up to release his helmet from the clasp inside, and took it off without thinking about it any longer. Your eyes widened, the hazy gaze you had had gone away just for a moment.
"Din- I-" He took your hand and placed it on his cheek, closing his eyes to savour your touch on his skin. He wouldn't have the chance to do this ever again, and he regretted not asking your hand for marriage sooner. When he opened his eyes, he saw you look at him in awe and felt your thumb stroking his stubble. "You're beautiful."
He broke and cried. Bending down at the waist, he rested his forehead on yours, his tears dripping down on your bloodied skin. He took off his gloves and ran his hand through your matted hair, wanting to feel your skin as well.
"I'm sorry we didn't have more time together," You whispered quietly to him, your own tears rolling down your face. Din shook his head again, unable to find his words to talk. Smiling softly, you ask of him, "Kiss me?"
And he did.
Din didn't care that all he could taste was the the iron of your blood; He pressed his lips on yours, his inexperience obvious with the way he molded your mouths together. You didn't mind, anyway, only enjoying the physical intimacy you regretted not having sooner.
When he pulled away from your soft lips, he opened his eyes only to see you closing yours. Panicking, he held you up to his chest, hugging you tightly as if it would stop you from leaving. "No- Ka'rta, don't go- I need you- I love you-"
Din repeated his words over and over again, his tears increasing tenfold when he felt you fall limp in his arms. Your head sagged back, your beautiful eyes half lidded with a small smile on your face. He held you up with his hand, sobbing as he called your name, and rested your foreheads together; a kedalbe kiss you both frequently shared.
"Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum," He managed to say, cradling your head to his shoulder and rocking your limp body back and forth. Tears streamed down his face, a pressure in his chest building and wanting to be screamed out. His voice broke as he recited an unreciprocated vow. "Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde."
Din stayed like that for a few minutes, just holding you close to him and pressing kisses on your temple, before he needed to get up. He closed his eyes as he tugged out the three knives out of your bloody body and went to stand over the bounty. Ruthlessly, he stabbed and slashed the guy numerous times until he was sure the bastard was dead. He didn't care for the bounty any longer and left them behind as he carried you back to the Crest with his helmet on.
He didn't pay attention to the people who openly stared at his bloodied armour and your dead body in his arms. He focused on getting you both to the secluded forest where he landed the ship and when he did, he placed you down gently on the soft dirt before digging a hole between the tall trees.
After he finished, he went in the ship to grab the blanket you both liked to cuddle under together and wrapped you in it. He pressed a last, goodbye kiss on your forehead, lingering on your soft, cold skin, because he knew he would never see you again.
He buried you in the ground, trying to shovel the dirt on top of you quickly and methodically to not let his thought go down the spiral of 'I'm burying the love of my life in the ground' and 'I didn't express my love for you enough'.
Din left the planet empty and unfeeling, lonely and mourning, and most importantly, without you.
---------------------------------------------------
Cyar'ika - Darling
Ka'rta - Heart or Soul
Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum - I love you
Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde - We are one when together, we are one when parted, we will share all, we will raise warriors (Mandalorian Wedding Vows)

Can I request Jean with a shy!Reader who gives their best to be a knight, but fails miserably? And then she overhears them talking to Kaeya how they're became a knight to impress Jean and to be close to her? Because Jean wanted to talk to Kaeya about how cute Reader is. Bonus points if Kaeya is the local couple therapist for them and desperately trying to matchmake them so he can have peace and quiet.
Hope this is okay my dear! <3
Pairings; Jean x reader
Warning(s);
Keep reading under the cut!
“This is so hard, I should probably find a better wat to confess to Jean” you complain to Kaeya as the both of you share a glass of wine
“Well yes, but I’ll hold off my ‘I told you’ so for a little while longer” Kaeya teases taking a sip of his wine
The plan was supposedly simple according to you. You fly through the trials of becoming a knight and boom Jean becomes wholly impressed and realises that she’s in love with you… or something along those lines. Kaeya has long stopped listening to your words
“Must it be this hard to impress Jean?” you ask with a huff “Also, I see her way less these days. It kinda sucks, do you think she hates me?” you add looking to Kaeya, Kaeya huffs
“I wish you just confessed to her like a normal person” he tells you leaning forwards to flick your forehead “But, I doubt she hates you she’s just been… busy”
While Jean being busy is wholly true because of how often she just is horrifically busy. The real reason why Jean avoids you floats about in the Captains head
-
“They’re so distracting” Jean complains to Kaeya “I want to just hug and kiss them but, it’s inappropriate and they’ll never reciprocate” she adds taking a sip of her wine that she and Kaeya are sharing
“Jean, I’ve known you since you were small” Kaeya starts “There’s no way you’re letting this crush of yours go anytime soon, why don’t you just confess?” he asks. Jean looks into her wine glass
“It’s just…” she trails off “I don’t want to make things awkward” she replies
“More awkward than constantly swooning over them?” Kaeya asks with a cocked brown, Jean sighs and nods “You’re impossible”
-
“Look, the quicker the both of you confess your undying love, the quicker everything goes back to normal” Kaeya says shaking his head from the memory
“Hey! When you put it like that it seems trivial” you pout, Kaeya shrugs
“What did you say about that last week?” Kaeya inquires “That I’m all talk no real flirting to be done here” he quotes you, you pout more
“You’re annoying” you tell him
“Yes, I have been told that a time or two” Kaeya teases, after a pause he notices Jean approaching his office “Besides, what’s stopping you from confessing to Jean right now?” he asks a smirk playing on his face. You sigh at him
“I’ve told you so many times” you huff with a pout “I don’t want to ruin whatever friendship we have with unreciprocated feelings” you tell him not realising Jean is stood in the doorway behind you “Happy that you got to ween that out of me again?” you ask him
“Indubitably” he says waving Jean into the office. He knows she’s heard your words from the blush playing on her cheeks. And as you turn to see who Kaeya’s greeting you can feel your face start burning with a blush of your own. “Now that the two of you know the feelings are reciprocated can you please confess and get on with it?” Kaeya asks with a wave of his hands and a sip of his wine. Maybe he could brag to Diluc that he finally got you and Jean together.
“I-“ you stumble “I uh…”
Jean coughs in her hand at the awkward atmosphere “Here, uh…” she trails off “Why don’t we grab some dinner and have a talk about this?” she asks her face blushing a little darker at the realisation that her offer sounded much like a date
“Ah! First date!” Kaeya exclaims clapping his hands together “Of course they’ll go!” he adds answering for you. “Better yet why don’t you do it now and I can have some piece and quiet” he half teases
“Quiet eyepatch, we both know you were the one who egged me into talking to you about all this in the first place” you tell him before getting up and walking towards Jean “Lets go, I’ve heard that Good Hunter has a new special if you’re interested”
“That sounds very nice, lets go”

Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina, Vol. 2
By Jougi Shiraishi and Azure. Released in Japan as “Majo no Tabitabi” by GA Novels. Released in North America by Yen On. Translated by Nicole Wilder.
It did not escape my notice, when reading the first volume of Wandering Witch, that the best stories in it were the ones that focused on Elaina and her past rather than the ‘Elaina arrives at a strange town’ stories. Sadly, there is no more backstory here, just the wandering witch. Which should be fine. It’s why we picked up the series, after all. Look at the over! It’s the witch, smiling, drinking a cup of tea. This should be a relaxing, slow life series with a nice mix of humorous and serious stories. Unfortunately, I seem to have caught the author of a bad day. They admit as much in the afterword, where it’s noted how dark and tragic many of the stories in this book were. Indeed, one story was cut from the book for being too dark, which boggles my mind. Now, it’s possible that the next volume may try to counterbalance that. But that still leaves Wandering Witch with a problem: the people in this book are terrible.
Most of the stories here are short, with two or three longer ones that have a bit more emotional heft. Elaina goes to a country where prejudice against non-magic users runs rampant; stops a war between two villages; tracks down a runaway princess; starts a fashion trend; deals with a beast girl with a tragic past (the best story in the book, even if it was as much fun to read as a root canal); helps a man find his father’s inheritance; goes to a country where truth is magically enforced; has interaction with a bomb manufacturer; discovers her old teacher has written a book; goes to a country where laziness seems to be the norm; goes to a fake zombie town now infested by real zombies; tries to hide the truth from some happy-go-lucky hunters; and deals with a country where you had better love cats – or else.
As you can see, these sound exactly like the peaceful, slow life sort of stories you’d expect here. The trouble is the characterization. The people in these stories are bigots, shallow, greedy, slothful, and sometimes genuinely evil. Even the nicest stories deal with what might best be described as misguided fools. If Kino’s Journey has a running theme of ‘war is horrible’, Wandering Witch’s might be ‘people are awful’. Sometimes there’s karmic fate, but more often than not nothing really happens except Elaina leaves and goes to the next town. The very first story upset me in particular as Elaina sees that the non-magic using people in this town are being persecuted and literally called animals, but merely disapproves of this and leaves. She’s meant to be rather emotionally deadened, but it just ends up seeming incredibly callous. This also makes it harder with stories like the beast girl one, where Elaina is supposed to be genuinely moved and upset – it seems fake because of how we’ve seen her before. Also, her “that girl – it was me” narrative joke isn’t funny and makes her sound smug.
I’d heard that future volumes of this leaned on the yuri a bit, but I’m not sure how good it’s going to be. Saya, the girl from the first story of the first volume, shows up again and clearly has a massive crush on Elaina, but it’s unreciprocated. Moreover, one of the stories involves a romance between two women, but it ends up being treated like more of a punchline than anything else. More to the point, after this second volume, I simply don’t want to read anything more about this witch and her journeys. Which is fine. I’m sure if told that I was dropping her series, she’d simply shrug and move on to the next town filled with selfish, irritating people.

My favorite part is that he survived and possibly got an actual partner, not just the shitty unreciprocated crush on a guy who didn't care about him. I really hope Bill ends up happy, even if he is a jerk most of the time
Hello, Bill Defense Squad here- I’d argue that 1) his jerkiness is a form of self-defense and 2) it’s largely an act.      He as much says that he knew Joel while he was a hunter and has clearly had poor experiences with other people. “It’s the normal ones that scare me; you of all people should know that.” It’s normal people that turn on you, that hurt you with malice in their hearts and unpredictable people. It’s normal people like you, Joel, who kill and steal for personal benefit.       A lot of his behavior reads as someone who has experienced trauma; he sasses Joel and Ellie like there’s no tomorrow: “JOEL needs a CAR.” “Lets GET ON with it.” “Oh, my god! You’re a genius!” All of these examples are defensive- he’s scared to go to the bad side of town, so he lashes out at Joel. He’s upset that Joel is putting himself in danger and not listening to reason, so he lashes out. Ellie is putting him in danger and has been a pain to him, so he lashes out. He’s extremely protective of his home and possessions; he’s uncomfortable with Ellie picking through his items in the basement, he scolds Joel for going into his bedroom. He holds his heart close and speaks as though he only acts in his own self-interest. He has a smart mouth, sassing and grouching more like a teen than a man of nearly 40(something that people who have suffered abuse tend to do; we have a hard time developing, especially socially). He obsessively plans and organizes, and yet he struggles with self care(he has two trays of moldy dishes in his bedroom, possibly from his last meal with Frank) and looking after the town(most of his notes are reminders to do or finish things). Additionally, his actions don’t meet up with his words at all; at least 2 of the signs in his town warn Trespassers will be shot on sight. His first action in game is to save Joel’s life, not just decapitating a runner but pulling it safely away from Joel before that so that he won’t accidentally hit Joel. He then guides Joel and Ellie through town to safety, frequently waiting to make sure that they have reached safety, and helping them when they’re in trouble. He shouts warnings to them, and when they reach the bar(really he could and should have done this a while ago) rather than running inside and saving himself, he takes up position outside and fires at the runners so that Joel and Ellie have a chance to catch up and get back inside.      It’s only once Joel and Ellie are safe that he ‘turns’ on them; he’s a man who lives alone, in a town full of infected, with most of his visitors being hunters. He’s a little cracked; he talks to himself and is pretty clearly mentally ill in some regard. The sign outside his bar reads Leave your weapons outside, or to the effect of it, but instead of shooting them(as multiple signs warn he will) or disarming them, he just gets them under control as best he can because now that they’re safe, he has to make sure that HE is.       He gives in easily to helping Joel out even though he has no real reason or obligation to; Joel is a trespasser, and his trap-setting-offing and infected-attracting have created a bunch more work for Bill.        His gruff comments and asocial demeanor are only on the surface; the rest of his chapter has him going way out of his way and putting himself in danger for the sake of this guy who wrecked his whole day and more and a kid who doesn’t seem to care for him. He chats easily and openly with Joel when they’re in safe places. He brings Tess up 4 times, concerned about her(until he’s freaked because he and Joel and Ellie nearly died for seemingly no reason). He gives Joel(who he well knows is a capable fighter) a new gun, teaches him how to make bombs, offers him a lot of valuable supplies, and gives up a well-used siphon hose as an after thought of ‘here, you could use this’. He physically drags Joel to safety twice, he displays begrudging respect towards Ellie.  Honestly, he’s a good good boy and arguably one of the best characters in TLOU(with the exception of like, Tommy and Maria), and he’s the only adult who never commits a human murder, nor is he ever suggested to have; a note mentions hunters that were scared away by infected, the traps a human couldn’t avoid are non-lethal, and he has every reason to kill Joel and Ellie but instead he saves them and doesn’t even hurt them; Ellie nearly breaks his arm but the worst he does is drive a knee into Joel just to get him on the ground.
