“Horns Down” is one of the greatest fan gestures in all of sports because it makes Texas so goddamn mad. Literal executives of the school are brought to a whole blood boiling rage over it. It works so well it has people at the conference level shaking. Press conferences are held about it. The head coach of the basketball team tried to lecture his opponents in the handshake line after a loss that the symbol is classless (it’s not). No other gesture is treated this way and that’s why it survives. It does exactly what it’s supposed to: make University of Texas people so fucking angry they nearly die. It’s the smallest thing, so insignificant that it shouldn’t even be noticeable, but players and employees of the university hate it so much it could kill them. And for this reason I love it.
Horns down.
Fuck Texas.

Prompt 274
You know what is fun? Baby Ghost Jason. You know what could be even more fun? Ghosts are Dragons.
Jason? Aware of none of this.
He was on comms, y’know listening and rolling his eyes at Dickwing, who used his real name, really Dick, he mocks. It’s just a stakeout, nothing new there, honestly boring when he could be blowing something up instead. It should have just been a stakeout.
Yet there’s something suddenly there, something behind him. Something that causes his hair to stand on end and his comms to spark into static like some sort of horror movie. Something, something with clawed hands with corpse-pale skin tipped in black, stained or dead or something else, tilting his head up and up and up as he’s frozen.
“A child, out here? Alone?” a voice crackles, hisses, hums, and purrs, somehow all at once, unnatural in its tone. He can’t move, he needs to move, he has to move, but it’s like the space around him has gone cold and dead, like he’s stuck in the Pits once more as claws hold his head and his vision blurs. “Sleep, child. Rest- we’ll be home soon.”

If I had to sum this game up in a few words:
Anyways, a win is a win, regardless of if it’s by one point or by 30 points. Alabama won, even though the refs didn’t want us to. Roll Tide! ❤️🐘🏈

'Horns Down' gesture can still be a taunting penalty, says Big 12 commissioner Greg Burks
‘Horns Down’ gesture can still be a taunting penalty, says Big 12 commissioner Greg Burks
In what has become an annual rite of passage on Big 12 media days, director of officiating Greg Burks was asked if the Horns Down gesture directed at the Texas Longhorns was a “dead issue.”
Even with the Longhorns set to depart the league, Burks said he knew the question was coming, and said yes, it will still be a judgment call.
“Let me be very clear with Horns Down,” Burks said. “I have no…

Made my very own tiny dungeon meshi dragon plush, that’s based on the version that only appears in the very last chapter for five pages and then is never seen again. I think it turned out pretty well.
I used this pattern to make it with some minor tweaks to the body, tails and legs and then just made some tiny cones for the horns at the end. If anyone would be intersted I might post the alterations and where to apply them but go check out the original pattern! I stuffed it both with acylic stuffing but also some plastic pellets for a bit of extra weight. The eyes are done with french knots.
Going to be adding manga spoilers below the read more with pictures of what I tried to get it to look like.
