Cover me. I’m going in!

This is the first time I’m using my #spraygun and the #first time using #akzonobel #primer. Most of these are effectively test pieces but some of them are still usable and will get installed on the #RV10 kit from @vansaircraftinc.

.

The reason there are test pieces is because I bought my primer before I was ready to use it (something I don’t recommend) and it sat around for a little over the 2-year shelf life. I did have to buy a drill-driven mixing auger to get the base back to a usable state. I’m crossing my fingers and thankful that I only mixed up a small batch.

I’m crossing my fingers that this works.

Fuel vent lines redone in order to prevent any fuel flowing into the line. They now go forward and across the main spare carry through. Tensioned the elevator cables and safety wired the turnbuckles. With this done I could put the rest of the floor down and the other front seat in. Also trialed putting the aileron hangers back on with a 1/8” spacer to create a better clearance between the control surfaces and the wing.
