Rosalee: when i first met you, i thought you and Monroe were a couple
Nick: what?! wait... ha-ha Rosalee, that's very funny-
Rosalee, unimpressed: raise your hand if at any point you thought Nick and Monroe were a couple
Holly & Hap: *raises hand*
Bud & The Eisbibers: *joining*
Frank, Barry & Roddy: *out of the loop but doing it*
Hank, Wu, Renard & Juliette: *you guessed it*
Nick: OKAY! i guess this is a thing now- Monroe, why are you raising your hand?!

Grimm, especially the early seasons, is unique in its ability to make you care SO MUCH about the one-off characters. I've never seen another show do this so well or so consistently. So many characters feel sooo big and important even though they only show up one time, to the point that we were waiting YEARS later to hear from them again. Speculating about whether an upcoming episode would have them in it somehow. It's wild.

“We’d already toured with the Dave Clark Five in late 1964 and often, to my ears, we blew them off the stage,” said Graham Nash of the Hollies. “I didn’t hang out with Dave – and I didn’t particularly like him. He was aloof and condescending, just a mediocre drummer … They thought they were the Beatles – and they weren’t. Their songs just didn’t cut it … On the last night of the tour, the Dave Clark Five were in the middle of their big number ‘Bits and Pieces’ when Eric Haydock and Peter Quaife, the Kinks’ bass player, took a huge bolt cutter to the stage power and cut those fuckers dead. Served ‘em right.”

Off topic but have you read Throne of Glass, Fourth Wing or ACOTAR?
hello anon, i'm laughing bc this question is asked like you may already have some clue to the answer, but if you don't know my feelings on Sarah J Maas then I'm so sorry. The only time I was ever an 'anti' on this hellsite was for SJM, she bought out an ancient fury in me.
So yeah, I've never read Fourth Wing, but SJM is my parasocial nemesis. If SJM has a million haters, then I'm one of them. If SJM has one hater, then I'm THAT ONE. If SJM has no haters, that means I'm dead.
(now just a rant bc you know what it's my blog I can say things for fun)
It's not even the bad and now utterly unedited writing, or the way she's basically only popular bc she's a lot of 12-15 year olds first taste of smut, or the way her fey characters aren't fey they're either omegaverse shifters or just a bastardised version of whatever paranormal romance books SJM suddenly discovered midway through drafting throne of glass.
It's not even, dare i say, the word 'mate'.
It's the way she has an entire book dedicated to curing a disability. It's the way Feyre grows up in what is essentially a romanticised plantation house. It's the way her characters of colour get killed off to further (god what's her name, Celeana?) white characters' plotlines. It's the way her 'lesbian' character sleeps with men but bisexual doesn't get used, and then when a bisexuality does appear the bisexual character mentions threesomes once per each sentence of dialogue he has. It's the 'let's have sex in a library manned exclusively by SA survivors'. It's the definition of feminism being 'your husband gives you power'.
But most of all... and this is truly where i just stopped reading bc I couldn't unpack the levels of gender binary fuckery and internalised misogyny in this choice until I started to take psychic damage in real time.... it's the fact that all the male sexual abusers or rapists in the ACOTAR series gets redeemed or have to be 'uneasy allies' in an """"awkward"""" situation, while every female sexual abuser or rapist gets graphically tortured and murdered. Something about the logic behind that artistic choice and what it says about SJM's thoughts on men and women's relationship to sex really just grossed me out.

I’ve seen the one of Allan on Tumblr before but the quality wasn’t the best, so here’s most of the collection that I found somewhere. (Not sure what happened to Graham, though. Might be out there.)
