I think that the reason JM and JK would spend so many late nights together is because this was a way for them to be alone together without the other members, management or staff being around. I think that they wanted to spend alone time together because they were drawn to each other - attracted to each other. I completely agree that I think their “firsts” happened during that private alone time. That seems like the most logical time for things to develop between them and that makes the most sense.

This is not rocket science anon.

Are there platonic friends who sometimes like hanging out together at nights, sure but definitely not as much as jikook and definitely not under those same circumstances. This is the thing.

We know that these boys had extremely busy lives especially when they were younger. They sometimes practiced for over 12 hours untop of school work and other things that they had to do and many people would just want to rest by themselves after all this hard work and after being with the other members all freaking day but it just seemed like Jimin and Jungkook were never tired of being with each other.

They basically spent all day working together with the rest of the members, ate together and still chose to spend most nights together. Listen, i love love love my bestfriend but heaven knows i don’t want to be around them all the freaking time. I would like my nights for myself atleast please.

I always reference their stay in LA back in 2021 because this paints a very clear picture of just how much time jikook spent together. They were together during concerts, rehearsals and any work activities. Jimin said they worked out together every day since they arrived the US. They ate together, arrived from concerts together and untop of that, Jungkook visited Jimin’s room atleast 3 times a day which means that anytime they were not required to be together because of work or some activities, they were still stuck together and even at night when they were supposed to be resting or spending time alone with themselves or talking to their lovers on phone Jungkook was still going to knock on Jimin’s door to “hang out” because he was lonely and bored. When we talk about these things, tkkrs say that jikook did that sometimes and not all the time but let’s revisit their exact words shall we?

This was from one of their logs back in 2013/2014. Jimin says “ so despite having beds, we always sleep outside. We lay blankets outside, set an alarm and sleep together”. Emphasis on the word always which means it was a regular occurrence.

This was from festa 2016 and this was Jungkook’s relationship chart. Let’s see what he says here. He describes Jimin as his all nighter friend and goes ahead to explain “all the time, it’s just the two of us doing something at night. I don’t know what we do” Emphasis on all the time, meaning that it wasn’t a one time thing or something that happened once in a while.

Then we had this magazine interview where the members were asked to describe Jimin and Jungkook’s description was “we do all-nighters together often. But i don’t remember what we actually do on those nights” Emphasis on the word often

Then we have this. I don’t remember exactly where this was from (memories, behind the scenes or vlogs ) can’t remember exactly but this was when Jimin and Hobi were roomates and this is what Jimin said “Everyday, Jungkook leaves his room and sleeps in this room” Emphasis on Everyday and mind you part of this time was when Jungkook and Taehyung were sorta roommates. (They shared one living space and divided it into two separate rooms) but Jungkook still went to sleep in Hobi and Jimin’s room everyday. Jin and Suga had also mentioned that Jungkook came into their room alot but the difference is, he didn’t go in there to sleep. He went in there because he liked how soft the carpet was (according to Jungkook himself) so even when we know that he did go to other members rooms alot, it wasn’t to spend his nights there and was usually for a particular reason.

And then we have Hobi himself saying this. “I bet he stayed up all night. Jimin and Jungkook always do” Emphasis on always.

Then we have these. Jimin telling us how often Jungkook comes to his room and telling us how he sometimes comes at 1:50am and stays for about 4 hours at a time.

I decided to post these screenshots taken from real content so that there are no misinterpretations here. These are words from their own mouths through the years and as we can see, it’s been consistent and it not be something that happens once or twice or sometimes but pretty much almost all the time based on their choice of words.

We know that Jk and Tae have also mentioned spending some nights playing games but the difference here is how they said “sometimes” they used to stay up all night together playing games. So we know this didn’t happen always but sometimes and when they did stay up all night, there was a reason which was usually to play games but we have jungkook straight up telling us that he doesn’t remember what he does with Jimin when they stay up together all those nights. These simple statement tells us that they actually enjoyed being by each other regardless or whether they did things or not. I said it isn’t rocket science because the only person one usually enjoys being together with even in moments when there is nothing to do, is usually a love interest. Any other person no matter how much you love them will sooner or later bore you. Being by a parent that much will bore you, being by a sibling that much will bore you, being by friends or best friends that much and at that time will bore you. But with your partner or a love interest, y’all could literally just lay there not doing anything at all or not even speaking to each other and still wouldn’t feel bored.

If jikook chose to spend time together alone on all these nights it was simply because they were drawn to each other and attracted to each other and wanted to spend time together ALONE and away from everyone else. It really isn’t that hard a nut to crack.

When Rationality Becomes Irrational

The number one reason people refuse to accept or admit the obvious nature of Jikook’s relationship is not because of Homophobia or Taekook, it’s because of excessive rationality--Jikook can’t be in a relationship because of the risks.

We’ve all heard the rationalizations:

1. Why would Jikook risk their careers and their bandmates careers over what could potentially amount to a fling? A break up would destroy the group! Jimin and Jungkook are too professional to take such a risk.

2. Hybe would never allow them to be in a relationship. BTS is their number one money maker and Jimin and JK are two of the most popular members. Let’s forget break up, what if they’re outed...that would destroy the group and with it HYBE’s number one source of revenue. So anything that looks suspicious has to be fan service because its financial suicide to allow Jikook to be “real.”

And I will admit all the above is true! Jikook being in a relationship is a massive risk! But this is where rationality can start to impede on our logic.

Yes, it is “irrational” to enter into a relationship with your same sex bandmate in a homophobic country when you are at the peak of your careers...but it was also unavoidable...

Let me explain:

Imagine falling in love with your best friend that you not only happen to work with but also live with. To make matter worse, let’s also imagine that your friend also loves you too. A physical relationship at the very least is bound to happen because at no point are you ever able to escape your feelings...you are with the object of your affection 24/7.

In my opinion,  It is more logical to expect a relationship to blossom out of that, regardless of the risks, then to expect these two individuals to have more self control than a Buddhist Monk. 

It is not rational to expect people to Always behave “rationally.” Thus, whether or not Jikook being in a relationship is rational or not should play no role in whether or not one thinks they are. Because there is no doubt that them being a couple is a risk...no one is arguing against that. All we are saying is risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because things like GCFT happened:

Jungkook planned and paid to take Jimin to Tokyo for his birthday--A city he said he wanted to spend his free time in on multiple occasions. He then spent a lot of time researching and constructing a romantic vlog of Jimin in Tokyo  set to the tune of a romantic song. No normal unbiased person walked away from that video thinking anything other than this video was made by a man in love with Jimin. 

Risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because they say things to, and about each other like, “I promised him I’d go even to the moon with him,” or “he’s my I am you, you are me,” or “I want to spend a long time with you” or “my favorite thing is waking up and seeing JK.” These aren’t things Just friends or even best friends say to each other in normal conversations. These are words lovers speak to each other.

Risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because instead of just flying to Hawaii from Europe, Jimin chose to fly back to Korea, get JK a birthday cake, and plan a birthday party to surprise Jungkook. He didn’t just wish Jungkook a happy birthday like any just “friend” would do, he made it a point to never miss celebrating Jungkook’s birthday with him. That is something a boyfriend or husband would do for their partner.

Risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because whenever JK looks at or talks about Jimin he has stars in his eyes. Jungkook comes live a lot and he spends the vast majority of his lives either live reacting to Jimin content, talking about Jimin, or becoming like a kid at recess whenever Jimin makes a point to comment on his lives. How can anyone watch JK’s recent lives and not conclude that, that man is in love with Jimin. His behavior is not normal friend behavior. Hobi’s support, and Yoongi’s support is normal friend behavior. They show up for him, cheer him on and even fan girl. But JK takes the cake. He spends huge chunks of time just gushing over JM, Why? Because he loves him.

Risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because when sick the only person JK doesn’t mind accompanying him or staying in the room with him, even when he’s being stripped naked is Jimin. When RM asked if he wanted them to leave for privacy...JK said yes but no one made JM leave because it’s understood that JM is not like the rest when it comes to JK. That’s a high level of closeness...to allow someone to see you so vulnerable, in a state of helplessness and be okay with it. 

Risk aside there is no way they aren’t in a relationship because they are always together. Band members, staff, they themselves admit this. They are always together on and off break. JK said when they were on break the only members he spoke to were Ji-hope. When members mention them they confuse their names, or talk about them in unison...Jk and Jimin did this or JK and JM are always up late! They are a package deal. We may not see them much now days but we know they are still together a lot because of the way they speak and other’s speak about them as if they are used to seeing them together “JM will come (box) when he gets off.” “JK make ramen for me when I come over.” “JM come eat chicken with me-” JM responds I will come when done. 

Risk aside...Their closeness defies normal friendship closeness. Jikook are human with human impulses and feelings. If they started having feelings for each other there was no avoiding a relationship...regardless of the risk...regardless of Hybe...regardless of the band! No normal human being would be able to stop themselves from entering into a relationship with a person they loved if they were under the same conditions. Every day i grow more sure of the fact that they are together because when I look at them I look at the abundance of footage BTS footage, fan sightings, JIkook statements and I conclude that even though they are well aware of the risks they took it because they knew there was no other option.

Jungkook is more superstitious then Jimin he believes in things like Destiny and from the way he looks at Jimin and behaves towards, protects him and sometimes treats him like porcelain it is clear that this man sees Jimin as his Destiny. Jimin while self admittedly doesn’t believe in things like fate and destiny, he does believe in committing oneself to someone for life and I truly think he sees JK as his life partner...which is why, as careful of a person as he is, he has taken the risk...because JK is his person.

2024 Things I’m Looking Forward To

This is not as easy to compile a list for as it might seem. Because while I am excited about some things, I’m still deeply annoyed that BTS is gone (until we get Jin back this year and Hobi too). I miss Jikook terribly, but in the spirit of it being a new year and of me tending to look on the positive side of things, I’m making a list really for myself of things to look forward to this year. I encourage you to make your own or let me know in the comments or DMs if any of these resonate with you 😊

1. Jikook Travel Vlog- I’d be lying if I didn’t put this as my most excited thing for the whole year. Nothing I love more than being comfy cozy on my couch with some snacks, lighting my candles, and witnessing Jikook shenanigans

2. My trip to Tokyo and Seoul with my sister this summer. Crazy that this isn’t number 1, I know, but truthfully I am nervous. I’ve never flown abroad and for such a long flight I’m nervous. Not about the plane itself but for being in such a confined space with strangers for that long is not my jam. But it will be worth it, I’m sure. I’m also pretty bad with time changes and well, 14 hours is something I can’t imagine. But I’m really excited to see all the places that I’ve been watching on my tv screen for the past 3 years.

3. All the new music content we will get from the tannies this year. I love new music in general (I participate in a group that does new music friday where we listen to new music that comes out every Friday) and getting new music from my favorites while they are away is so amazing. I love sharing that joy with people.

4. Bit of a sidetrack away from things BTS related but I’m super super excited for an actually good live action remake 🤞🏻 of my favorite series of all time at such a pivotal age (12) during my childhood. The equivalent of HP for me is Avatar the Last Airbender and from the looks of the sneak peek trailers, I think it might be worth the hype and I’m ever cautiously the optimist. I’m so excited to enter back into a world that I love so much and characters that mean so much to me. Maybe I’ll be inspired to write some crossover fics 😂

5. The return of Jin and J-Hope will definitely be a grounding experience and a source of great comfort to get real time content again from Bangtan.

6. Any other merch or little surprises or communication from our boys (especially Jimin and Jungkook around here you know the deal) I especially need all the magazine covers and content of Jimin in his natural hair color, blond. He could rule the world.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head, but it’s enough to keep me going. Fighting! 🫰🏻

I'll just solely be focusing on the jikook moments we got through this video, not every thought or thing every member did, but it's so much fun (its hard to not be a yoongi simp 24/7 on this blog lol). I love them all so much and one thing jikook is going to do is be consistent!

Starting off with maknae line Warm ups and giggles together! Wow at Jimins strength though! The EASE he does those workouts with. WOW

Being silly and goofy practicing their part in the choreo lmao

Hobi telling Jimin he needs to get to the front faster during the choreo and then Jikook laughing about how fast Jimin moved after that. Lmfao and JK just dropping all honorifics all the time. "Jiminie"

Next day of practice has the accidental run in and the cute little "Oh!" from JK in reply to JM.

And the final practice before they leave for Busan (day before Jimins birthday) has jikook singing Spring Day all cuddly. Jimin just resting along JKs back and as they walk around and then getting silly and finishing up Spring Day into JKs mic even though the music accidentally cut out on them. It just gives a really cute visual of them having spent the whole melodic song all cuddly and walking around swaying like that 😭🥺

I loved seeing them all together like this again. I was missing them! Wrapping up this post with the observation that when sitting around in rehearsals (again, because it happens with so many behind bombs) Jikook sit/stand right next to each other like 80+% of the time. Lol it's super cute. The magnetism that draws them together! Plus the cute observation of how they love just being close together and touching when they sit on a couch together, even though everyone else is good with leaving breathing room between the seats and there was definitely enough room for them to seperate a smidgen. But why would they want to?!

It's the constant consistency. This is why I always say they are fine. They still share little intimacy moments. They still seek each other out constantly when not doing something else. They still seek out and are very receptive of each other's touches. They are sweet. And I loved seeing them again, even if it was from last year. Looking forward to more!

bts as a whole have been nice and supportive of their juniors (as they did not really have seniors in the company or industry to do that for them), namjoon, hobi, tae, jimin, and jk have all either done a dance or sang a song from new jeans and/or le sserafim

also tiktok algorithm is a thing, we know jk follows all hybe groups (including le sserafim), he likes memes and funny videos, he likes alcohol (especially highball), so it's not that far off to say that it might just have showed up on his feed (like i'll call out a solo on twt/x and suddenly my 'for you' section is filled with fcking pjms or jjks 😞, and i then have to spend a couple minutes blocking and clearing my tl), and not necessarily him looking it up bc he wants to fck her or is an obsessed fan (saw some chaewon solos and fearnots (including some big fan accounts 😐) say he's chaewon biased which might have led to kpop stans losing their sh*t)

also i found out chaewon fans (gg stans in general) have a tendency to be overprotective (some guy gave her a rose as part of a scripted thing on a variety show (i think??) which chaewon knew about and agreed to do and they (fans) lost it and threatened the guy to the point he came out and said he's no longer going to interact with female idols), and sometimes i get it bc south korea isn't the best place for women and even less in the idol industry (especially with the amount of grown ass male stans of ggs), like even when le sserafim on this variety show where one of the hosts has a reputation of messing with young female japanese idols (member of twice i think?) and he was making weird comments towards kazuha (she was 19 and is japanese) and every corner of kpop stan twt (including army) were upset and protecting her

Miles: Then maybe you'll like But I'm just a cheerleader. -he knows his boyfriend has a complex taste in movies. Sometimes he criticize the shit out one if he doesn't like it and he rarely watches them. If anything he mostly stick to Horror/thriller or psychological films. Anything that he can dissect. Comedy is always a hit or miss, he did find Hangover assuming.-

Pavtri whines: I wanna see Mean Girls! Can we have a movie night to watch!

Miles: Sure! It's a cult classic!

Gwen: Maybe we should watch Rocky Horror Picture Show, too. I know, you haven't watched it yet.

Hobie gasps at his Sunflower: LUV, you never saw it! -Now that's one of his favorite movies-

Hobie cut him off: No, we're gonna watch it! You'll find it amazing! In my world, we do a full blown show and wreak havoc on the streets all for Anarchy! We'll watch it tonight!

Gwen: Maybe we can do Saturday? I'm free that time.

Pavtri looks at his schedule: Me too!

Hobie: Alright, Saturday. At your place, luv?
