✂ Scissors Crown Karen progress: The hoopskirt and petticoat are so close!! I feel enormous! It looks so beautiful though 😍 They both need some final work done to the waist bands, and the petticoat might get the little black ribbon at the bottom just for extra color. For reference, the hoopskirt is about 124" in circumference around the bottom largest hoops. The petticoat is made of rectangles off fabric. The upper layer is 4yds wide, gathered to fit the waistband. The lower visible layer is 8yds wide gathered down to fit the upper layer, with another 4yd layer hidden underneath for some extra volume. 📍 I can't wait to try it on with the corset and underclothes! So much effort and time spent on all the underwear, I'm excited to get to the visible layers soon! 🔱 Petticoat and hoopskirt made by my mom, @kabocha1013 ! I used the old Elizabeth Swann pattern from @simplicity_creative_group for the pocket panniers and I’m purposefully not tying them in the front because this part of my legs will be seen.
