Rui’s whimsical ass room makes me giggle whenever I look at it like he has incredibly advanced and intricate robotic project next to a bunch of toys. Yoyos and juggling pins next to machinery that could revolutionize the tech industry. A bunch of bouncy balls next to a book shelf crammed full of what is probably a mix of fairy tales, scripts, and doctorate level engineering/math textbooks. There is no evidence of a bed anywhere in the room.

and specifically i do think tim is someone with pretty intense object empathy and what this made me think of was, like, tim at one of Jason's awful bare warehousey-safehouses and something that strikes him is that jason doesn't have any creature comforts and he thinks back to his own bed and he just. decides. he's gonna give jason a dumb little plushie. bc i think tim is someone who feels tangibly less alone with one, and while he's aware that jason probably doesn't feel the same way, it'll at least make him feel better about thinking about jason spending his nights in this place.

and jason is so BAFFLED by the gift bc yeah he doesn't really have that emotional response with toys but also. like. no fucking takebacksies. like it's meaningful to him just bc it WAS a gift, he doesn't really grasp that it was tim seeing how lonely jason was and wanting to alleviate some of it by doing something that would have helped him. and i think months and months down the line its going to dawn on jason what tim was doing and why and he's going to have to have a little cry about it

HI it's been a month but i still think abt ur "Toichiro get nightmares" comic it literally lives in my head rent free i cannot stress this enough thank u for giving me all the suzuki fam feels ever in such beautiful illustrations, Toichiro is such an interesting character like there are so many aspects of him that makes him very different & unique between all the "terrible abusive supervillain biological father" trope, he's so sentimental and silly in his motivations while being so ruthless & logical with his methods??? & it's just so obvious how he loves & cares abt Shou in his own absurd ways, it's not everyday that u get a supervillain dad checking where the heck is his son right after announcing world domination plan

Ahh thank you so much, this really makes me so happy that you enjoyed it! The Touichirou enjoyers may be few but the support and tags I get under my art make me so happy <3 I absolutely love finding fellow Toui likers that want to dig into his character more than just using him as a punching bag and for laughs (although I also enjoy that type of content sometimes as well even if I don't get half of it).

About that panel - I can't really say much about manga Touichirou because I... uuuuhhhh haven't gotten to this arc yet. I first started watching the anime and only months after it finished I picked up the manga and am slowly working my way through it. But without the context I think he might be expecitng some sort of betrayal coming from Shou at that moment, since he's not there to follow his father. And we see how things unfold later when Shou confronts him. So I think he wants Shou to admire him, to follow him and to be the one who takes his place some day as the ruler of the world. But it is what gets me in the confession arc, when he shows that he does care about his son when he shields him from the attack - even Shou is shocked to see him be this selfless.

The very reason that I like Touichirou so much is his ability to grow from his past mistakes. And we see that also happen with Teru, Minori, Koyama and Sakurai and the fellow scars and even some ultimate five members.

And don't get me started on the headcanons for this man about guilt and sadness and regret and ohh I love his character so much cause there's so many situations you could put him in! And I like to to thing that some day he reunites with his family and continues to live as just some guy and tries to be better than he used to be and in some way he's experiencing life anew and learning about the wonders of the world once his vision is no longer warped by his past delusions. But even in the past Touichirou there is so much interesting things, like the fact that he misses his wife, that he's stubborn, that he's proud and ruthless and that he's lying to himself all the time about how perfect he is and how he never once felt any inferior emotion. But he's also super silly and likes vanilla ice cream and married his wife because of her big heart and he picked the cultural tower because they served the best omurice in seasoning city and I think he's a dilf!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep thinking about a Yuuei AU where Keigo is a student until like halfway through second year his dad gets arrested as a villain and he only stays for a few more months before the side-looks and bullying and different treatment from teachers finally makes him snap. As if them working with a son of a villain is so much more difficult than him losing his father and basically losing his mother too. And it really doesn't help that his (former) best friend's dad was the one who took him away.

So one day he just withdraws from the school and no one is able to get in contact with him again. Until years later when pro hero Dabi sees a report that the previously petty criminal Hawks has been seen working with the League of Villains and has, by association, been bumped up to the classification of villain. And Touya, as a hero, doesn't deal with criminals so he had absolutely no idea that was where Keigo had ended up, nor was he aware of the name "Hawks" that his former friend was going by.

And he doesn't know what to do, because they weren't really friends at the end. They fell off hard and there was a lot of tension and spitting insults and glares up until the point Keigo left the school. But he's an adult now, and he's delt with much more, so it's given a different perspective on the situation. He hates himself for acting so defensive and reactive to Keigo's anger when It's clear that he was just hurting and felt as if everyone had turned their back on him.

But now the question is if he can get that through to Hawks before the villain does something he can't come back from.

walking in to rephrase my thoughts from discord but i was just thinking about tiger getting checked up by his ripper n yknow one could consider tiger a 'borg in cyberpunks terms sure hes not super insane looking like smasher, he likes looking human and theres almost an art to having all these enhacements and reinforcements all neatly tucked away for no one to see yes you have the obvious visible cyberware on his face, his body, the tail but its nowhere near as extreme as you see elsewhere at times, hell, look at someone from maelstrom

all in all he looks.. tame, very stylized sure but you might not exactly expect this all going on in there

#theres definitely a humm to him when its real quiet and you rest your head on his chest #would usually hear the cyberware idling #n sure... something to be said about cyberpsychosis or what have you but i think the way its done in lore is kind of. lame #i like to imagine it with alittle more nuance #highly dependant on the person and how fast you install it all #i think after a certain point yes your body or mind cannot handle any more but theres more fun ways to show this #that arent just super murdering everyone #tiger is a big guy without all of that tech. hes built and healthy so i think that sets a higher baseline #more space to build on and more options to push further up #without him being in any danger #and all of this cyberware was installed gradually over years with his ripper's watchful eye #making sure it all works #doesnt conflict or affect tiger negatively #and yea i admit it. its overpowered perhaps. but im playing touys and if theres someone like smasher looking like that being perfectly fine #well. tiger is allowed #tiger #my ocs #i also think its just a fun aspect to have this mechanical noise alongside the organic heartbeat
