Hi! I love your blog and bave been following for a few months :) I love how much effort you put into your posts - especially the vocab lists are super cool :)
I wanted to ask your advice on something:
I‘m taking a hindi class at uni and I‘m in my second semester and the teacher is going pretty fast (we did like three tenses in one week - one week consisting of two 90 min classes) and it just feels super rushed and it‘s so frustrating for me trying to keep up. And then I get frustrated overall and don’t really wanna do anything witht he language at all and avoid it / procrastinate the things I know I should be doing.
Do you have any good tips for my situation? Any way to find maybe a different source of motivation? Or is there anything else you can think of?
I'm totally in favor of academic education, but when it comes to languages that we choose to study out of our own interest and passion, I believe we should find our own unique path. Courses are just one way of learning.
First, you can ask yourself two questions: Why are you learning Hindi, and why did you choose this particular course? The answers may not be the same.
You can make a mental list or create a mind map of all the things that initially sparked your interest in Hindi. You can choose to include your short-term and long-term goals as well. Maybe you want to learn Devanagari, be able to communicate with a friend, understand your favorite songs better, or become an interpreter. We all have different reasons for learning languages.
If you view language learning as a lifelong journey, then this course is just a fleeting moment. Even longer, full-time language courses that take several years are merely temporary opportunities for learning. The course does not define us as learners, and the end of a course does not mean the end of learning (even if we excel in our grades).
So, I wonder if putting this course, its requirements, and the academic benefits it brings as part of your degree into a broader perspective can help you see it as just a part of your Hindi journey.
As for motivation, I've found it helpful to have a variety of materials available in different difficulty levels, topics, and formats that fit my every mood and situation. I always try to have something at hand for:
Reading
low-effort: Twitter, Wikipedia, story apps (e.g. Akbar-Birbal)
high-effort: novels, short stories, news articles
Listening
low-effort: songs, language learning and self-help podcasts
high-effort: news and documentary podcasts aimed at native speakers
Watching
low-effort: stand-up comedy etc. channels on YouTube, Netflix series with English subtitles
high-effort: series and films with or without Hindi subtitles.
Speaking
low-effort: a voice message or a call with a friend or a language partner
high-effort: taking an iTalki class with a tutor
Grammar
low-effort: language learning apps
high-effort: text books, preferably with exercises
Writing
low-effort: chatting with a language partner or ChatGPT
high-effort: writing a letter to a language partner or a longer text book excercise.
Mixing and matching all of the above makes it possible to use and practice your target language throughout the week outside the classroom. Using these methods to build your own routine will help you continue on your journey also after the course has finished.
Hope this helps, thanks for the ask!

LETTING GO AND LET GOD
Today is April 23, 2023 Sunday 12:37 A.M. and I am here in my room, trying to sort out my thoughts, my feelings.32 yrs old na ako, but why do I feel na stuck ako sa 18 yrs old? l didn’t enjoy my teenage years, it was all about study study. And yung environment ko it’s the same as here, I don’t have the chance or get the chance to meet someone, I want to watch movies or series related to Love, ung mga romantic genre pero I don’t kasi I know, I will get hurt if I watch it, maiingit ako sa female lead, yung tipong bakit ganun? nagpunta ka lang sa ganito place, nameet mo na lover mo? nagpunta din naman ako ng mall, coffee shop, grocery at kung anu ano pero wala akong nameet. And this is my List of things to do : )
Read books, comics, manga,
Watch movies
listen to Music
learn to play guitar, piano
learn to cook
learn how to drive
learn basics of dancing
singing
self-defense
Magpayaman
build my investment port-folio
passive income
retiremed fund
magpaganda
be lowkey and private
be physically fit
drink coffee
skin-care
upgrade my fashion style, Anastasia steel reference
travel to Phils. and around the world
punta Japan
enroll ng MS Psychology if possible
pursue my dream to be a radio DJ
maging college professor kahit 2 sems lang
have my own place kahit maliit lang, with parking
gardening
have my own youtube channel pero syempre no face reveal
be connected to myself
soul-searching
Maging consistent sa prayers and communicating to the Lord though prayers
self-care
loving me and choosing me
Wow, ang haba ng listahan ko hehe, but I think this is more possible and achievable  kaysa sa romantic love for another person. I Wuvv U sarili ko, Ok na tanggap na natin, makakafocus na tayo sa mas maganda bagay like this, hindi lang naman sa romantic love sasaya ang isang tao, sa self-love din : ) You go girl, you got it, LABAN : ) and at the same time maganda pa din : ) Focus on this post, pag may times na nalulungkot ka, Okay? Andito ako for you, sarili ko. God Loves me : ) Thank you Lord : )

Interrete Subculturae
Tumblr media
This came to light from a post about Femcels toxic AF Internet Subculture. “A Femcel is a female incel or ‘involuntary celibate,’ not necessarily celibate, but tends to blame all men for their struggles in relationships instead of themselves or their partners. They say things like ‘all men are trash’ or ‘kill all men…’” ~UrbanDictionary.com The problem with Internet Subcultures are Internet Subcultures. You already see how the media and most of the general public that do not have Internet Subcultures in their face all the time or even understand what Internet Subcultures are, treat people that treat Internet Subcultures like it is everyday life. They are treated as social pariahs by the lot. The mems, the butt of the jokes. Being closely associated to the WOKE mob. I have recently attempted to redefine WOKE Subculture into a smaller phrase that, could say, fit on the Twitter, which is as follows...
“WOKE is both a Subculture and Internet Subculture that attempts to make minority issues displayed as majority issues and those issues be labeled as normal and/or everyday ‘FACTS...’”
This is under the pretense that the definition of minority equals; minor, mini, micro, small, non-majority.
AND
The definition of majority equals; major, many, macro, large amount of, non-minority.
There are many many examples showing that WOKE goes to great lengths to display ALL DATA that is dealing with minority issues as majority and normal. If we followed this logic to the letter we would assume based on the media, TikTok, Discord servers, YouTube Channels that Black, LGBTQ+ people are everywhere in our culture.
NEWS FLASH...
This is not true and here is an example of why that is...
The population of the United States in 2021 is/was around 331.9 million. The population of Black People in the United States, (I will never call them African Americans, they are not literally from Africa, so that is incorrect English), is/was 41.6 million (2020). The population of LGBTQ+ in the United States is/was 23.5 million (2021).
Take those numbers and tell me whether these groups are minority or majority? Just for shits and giggles, the population of White people in the United States is/was 191.8 million or 57.8% of the 331.9 million in 2021.
Are these "exact" numbers? No, of course not, but they are very very close to being what the numbers actually are and I am just using this as an example. I am not saying America shouldn't care about minorities. I am not saying that Black Americans and people of LGBTQ+ are not part of our American-Societal-Culture. I am just saying based on the math both groups do not make up the majority of the 331.9 million but merely a small fraction on the pie-chart that is the demographics in this country. My issue has always been the WOKE mentality [insert my definition from above here].
We cannot act like minority is really majority and act like that is normal and a part of everyday life in the United States. That has always been my issue. Just like groups cannot change the definition of concepts because minorities may not fit into the concept. So to force them in, they change the definition.
NOPE... That isn't gonna work and we are seeing this now.
Back to Internet Subcultures... The point of all that is to show that Internet Subcultures are just that; minorities of the Internet. There are just a bunch of them out there, but at the end of the day. They are small, micro, mini when compared to all the people that use social media, that use the Internet in general. Most people do not know what some of them even are, let alone most of them.
Woke, Incels, Femcels, Kevin, Karen, Trolls, Tweakers (Twitter Users), Binary, Non-Binary, Gay, Straight, Trans, Hindi, Middle-Eastern, Twitch Gamers, Otakus, Anime Cosplayers, Otherkins, Antigun Groups, Neo Nazis, Environmental Activists, Scene Kids, Religion, Conspiracy Theorists, Flat Earthers, Hollow Earthers and Racists.
Each group acts entitled as if their group warrants equality and respect by default without the majority of us even knowing what they are about. Their expectations from the rest of the lot, "us," the rest of the 57.8% of 331.9 million are not just gonna shrug their shoulders and say; “ok” to all that. It's just not gonna happen. Look at what happened in the southern states when blacks in this country were fighting for equality back in the 50s and 60s. Eventually, most of it worked out. At first, it was not a great place to be, even if you were white. There were plenty of white folk that said, "its about goddamn time." With respect to giving blacks in America equality. Even in the 50s and 60s the media mainly displayed this news in the negative. Again, just using this specific example here. I am not linking race issues with Internet Subcultures, but you can throw a label on that if you so wish…
Another NEWS Flash...
If less people were fighting for these rights would they have been granted? That's right... There were more people, both black and white that fought alongside one another to get these laws passed than the racist slang being thrown around in the public eye. However, the media portrayed this in another light. They didn't do it as much or at the level they do it now, but it was being done even then. People, in general, especially, Internet Subcultures has a terrible understanding of real, history. It seems to me, they only look at history when it suits their rants but with not much actual, real, understanding, conceptually. It is that foolishness, excuse me, their obvious, foolishness that makes them a target for memes, jokes, getting bullied and so forth. They are the butt of the joke most of the time, online, or in the real world, because they are blinded in triggering rage. One or many cannot think or articulate clearly when they are pissed off. Now give them a medium, like the INTERNET, where they can literally say whatever they want and have very minimal backlash for it in the real world. Granted if they are in an Internet Subculture and spout off with the keyboard warrior-type-rant, sure. That can harm their traffic. If they have followers, likes, hearts, comments, clickbait, ads. All that can be harmed if you are in an Internet Subculture and say the wrong stuff to where others in that Internet Subculture turn on you. The triggered keyboard-ranter. It happens all the time. People with mental health problems feel accepted by a group only to have that acceptance shattered and the people fall into a really bad depression and off themselves. It happens every goddamn day. Most people just do not see it but it happens daily.
This was meant to be short, but with me I cannot do that. If I were to shorten this up to just the key points without explaining the context then I am basically opening myself up to a clutter of Internet Subculturers trolling my shit and making large claims about my personality. All because they cannot articulate the concepts in which I explore and the way I attack them. The reasons my thoughts, opinions, writing style is so widely praised is also the same reasons the Internet Subcultures hate me and are triggered by what I say. Mainly the mentally ill, former or current Scene Kids on here that are either too dumb to understand or too young to process actual, real, logical concepts; because all their education on subjects like this come from Internet Subculture opinion’s and beliefs based on emotional outbursts, faith and belief.
What I continue to preach is knowledge, knowing, truth and facts do not come from faith and belief. Because faith and belief are not attributes of knowledge, knowing, truth and facts. They can be at times. However, ALL FACTS start with believing this [whatever thing] to be true but we have to test it first, many times over, to see what actually comes of it. This is just the scientific method. You have a theory. You test your theory many many times and if the answer comes back the same in the “majority, major, most” of the tests/time then you can say that is a ‘FACT.’ A ‘FACT’ is something that can be labeled as truth and cannot proven to be “un”true. Simply believing in something, because you want it to be real is fine, but that one thing does not make it true or real.
That is just it. You have to prove something to be wrong. You have to match that effort and most won’t. Especially those in Internet Subcultures. They say it’s a safe place, whatever that is supposed to be and mean? There are no safe places on the INTERNET. Some are beginning to just now learn this.
Incels is just a newer word to describe the MGTOW Internet Subculture (Men Going Their Own Way) from the mid 2000’s. I remember a guy friend of mine who tried to sell me on the concept way back in 2007. I guess MGTOW’s are called Incels now, lol. Femcels, again, just a new word to describe very angry feminists that are more interested in getting attention with the aesthetic of toxic sadness than the original meaning of involuntary chastity… Ok… Different word, different world, same thing…
As stated before, this was supposed to be semi-short, but ended up being an entire blog worth of material. This is both a reply to the original post and my own words on the subject. Context for me is so very important. We have nearly 2,000 words on the subject. If one is triggered by this, sorry not sorry. If you are that angry over my perspective anyone can leave at any time. The time it takes to hash out these things conceptually using common sense, logic, real research, math, trouble-shooting, problem-solving just shows this isn’t some angry triggered rant. This is a serious opinion on how Internet Subcultures look to the outside world who do not ever see this stuff and now all of the sudden are exposed to it and how it is displayed. If you live on the INTERNET, as I do much of the time, stop for an hour. Put the game on pause, sign out of TikTok, throw your Spotify on or a book or something and go for a walk. Walking clears and centers the mind. It is also great for your circulation and one may even lose some weight. Shit… Just take some time and be one with nature. It helps me. It could, potentially, help others but it won’t if you do nothing.
“If one seeks change and does nothing to make said change happen then nothing will happen and nothing will change.” ~me (7/30/2022)

Long post ahead.
Introduction. Helloooo sa kokonting nakakabasa nito minsan haha so ayun last 20 days before submission ng thesis manuscript, and 32 days before final defense, I think effective talaga magsulat ng thesis pag malapit na yung deadline lol and maraming maraming data naman na raw ako so need na lang talaga icompile and all hahaha excited na rin ako for Sept 2022 graduation and family trip haha and since effective vent-out place ko tong Tumblr (since mahirap sundan kung ittweet lahat tsaka magulo haha), ipurge ko muna tong recent whirlwind of thoughts dito
Graduation Anxiety. So ayun graduation season, AND last two months na ng stipend ko! And I think psychologically threatened ako with the thought na patapos na current scholarship kasi graduation naaaa kahit objectively, I am still ~10 months away from zero finances assuming walang inflow, and I know need na ulit ng next scholarship na aapplyan this July and August, kasabay ng admission for PhD, pero di ko mapigilan mag-isip na gustong gusto ko na magwork, parang nakabase ang worth ko sa WORK talaga with SALARY huhu I find myself scrolling lagi sa linkedin, jobstreet, etc. etc. for possible part-time jobs na pwedeng online/remote, na based sa PH (kase Japanese skills ko di pa strong huhu so mahirap if dito ako maghahanap agad) and thinking na 30 y/o na ako pag PhD graduation na, andyan lagi yung worries na parang unemployable na ako (in the industry) at that age kase puro aral ako huhu
Mix-up. Scrolling sa mga job sites, natrigger ako since last week na parang andami kong gustong gawin huhu or kase parang unconsciously, iniisip ko na dapat i-fit ko yung credentials at skillset ko sa kung anong nakikita kong available postings, WHICH is hindi dapat! Kasi bat ako nasstress na hindi ako marunong magcode at programming (weakness ever since and traumatic talaga since undergrad tong programming ugh), e nakatingin kase ako sa DAMI ng IT and comsci jobs, na in reality hindi naman talaga para sakin, ty sa kapatid ko sa pagtulong marealize neto ahahaha kasi same thought naman if puro med-related or media-related or etc etc na hindi ko naman talaga field. Or baka kase sa dami ng IT job postings tas nacocompare ko sweldo nila na matataas dito sa Japan, pero anyways ayun, Conclusion is, know where to look talaga, and may job portals naman dito for spefically research/academe job postings (and pwede English language yey!) tsaka yung specific companies talaga na direct hiring websites so ayun matagal pa naman, kasi PhD ko 2022-2025, tas magstart ako legit job hunting by Spring 2024 (kase 1 yr usually application process ng job hunting and job matching etc.) pero yung thoughts talagaaaaa natitrigger nitong thesis defense / graduation season hahaha
Personal Project/s. Which leads to my next point, na parang andami kong gustong gawin, such as the following:
1. Make a YouTube channel. ANDAMI KONG MATERIALS, for math, chem, ChE, NMAT chem etc., na multiple times ko naman na napresent, so sabi ng kapatid ko, why not make it long-term and permanent sa YouTube ganun, para di napapagod boses ko kakalecture every time, and I think evergreen din naman yung content so good idea. Pero yung discipline ko talaga to allot time gumawa ng content huhu iba rin yung feeling na walang kausap habang nagrerecord etc pero sabi ko, after ng thesis defense, mababalikan ko na dapat to
2. Write a college textbook for PH. Same with #1, pero eto isa sa faint / currently not priority dream siguro pero gusto ko mag-author ng reference textbook for PH :((((( lalo na napansin ko na sa engineering specifically, lahat ng references ay international :(( and marami naman nang ebooks etc pero napansin ko kasi hindi naman nauubos yung buong table of contents pag sa context ng PH syllabus/curriculum huhu so parang gusto ko mag-author ng textbook, like yung first-sem-ng-engineering like chemistry or algebra or calculus na may engineering applications, then make them affordable sa PH engineering students ganun I mean random pastime ko minsan magsulat sa Notes sa phone or sa tissue paper ng table of contents, format and outline ng textbook etc, ayan random excitement thoughts then dadaan na naman thought na hindi ko na naman mapapanindigan or baka wala naman akong karapatan mag-author ganun hahaha pero maganda rin tong personal project kase teaching talaga is my passion / calling jk HAHA ayun
3. Take more part-time / online / remote teaching jobs sa PH. I mean, nakaingrain na yata talaga sakin na security and stability = being part of a company or institution, etc, na hindi ko kaya mag full time free lancing and all kaya siguro nakakatakot yung thought for me na mag-risk to join or create a start-up, or maghanap ng clients for consulting etc. without safety nets. Pero since mukhang patapos na covid and halos pabalik na lahat sa f2f classes next sem, nawawala na rin yung options ko for this pero if meron di ba why not haha nakaready naman lagi yung CV ko, and based sa experience ko last year sa jobstreet, nakuha ko yung dalawang legit regular part-time teaching jobs within 3-4 days both huhu
4. Self-Learning and Online Courses. I know na hindi to profitable and mahirap confidently (and personally) ideclare na I know something if hindi ko naman sya naencounter ‘formally’ either through credited class or in practice, pero as I look through jobs (even yung research and academe jobs), may certain specializations ako na gusto ko sana madevelop, in addition sa 3 yrs research during PhD, pero kase ang hirap na I think mas attractive pa rin sa employers yung years of experience/practice kesa sa years of higher educ :( lalo na for me na super inclined na magtransfer to industry/practice after PhD graduation.
5. Nihongo Study. Haixt eto pa :(( in the long-term, if gusto ko talaga maging permanent dito, inevitable naman na kelangan mag-aral nang malala ng Nihongo, and currently nasa N4-N3 naman na yata yung level ko so magtetake ako ng JLPT N3 sa December 2022. Pero sobrang daunting, mas kinakabahan pa nga ako sa Nihongo skills kesa sa research/teaching/technical skills ko huhu andami dami dami dami dami kong nihongo books dito na di ko pa nababasa huhu sana (and mukha naman) nakatulong yung maraming nihongo classes na tinetake ko for free sa univ, and buti online pa. Pero kasi starting Oct 2022 Fall Semester, balik f2f na rin nihongo classes :(( which means nasa Tokyo na ulit yung class, e nasa Ibaraki ako, so no more formal nihongo classes na ulit sakin :(( good luck sa discipline magself study ng nihongo lalo na if I want to become N2 and N1 soon :((((( pag tumitingin kase ako sa japanese industry job postings, common na nakalagay yung required level ng Japanese language proficiency (kase expected na rin nila na may foreigners na nag-apply) and ayun laging Business-level (N2) tsaka Native-level (N1) yung mga nakalagay para sa engineering careers na gusto ko :(( so eto pa kinakatakot ko kase worst case scenario lagi sa thought ko ay umuwi ng PH kase walang makuhang work dito by 2025 :(( pero G na G and super sasaya rin naman ako if babalik ako ng UP or PNRI after PhD huhu pero ang hirap maenjoy yung thought na gagraduate na ng MS and papunta nang PhD kapag naooverwhelm ng thought ng job hunting by 2024 :(( kase di ko pa maimagine na I can ace job interviews while speaking in Japanese kase weakness ko na nga kanji, pati memorization ng new vocab, wala pa huhu
6. Investment. Ayun since never ako naexpose sa business-related upbringing, kahit lagi ko naririnig yang stocks, investment, franchise, etc etc, wala talagang nangyayari, I know na super smart move to as early as possible masimulan, pero wala talaga, I don’t know how or where to start, and di ko rin sure kung masusubaybayan ko to in the long-term, given yung mga priority ko from #1-5 kanina huhu pero haixt sana makabreak in man lang dito kahit papano
7. Hobbies and Health. Gusto ko rin naman maging physically active kahit papano, takbo takbo ganyan HAHAHA pero anuna ampangit ng sleeping habits ko, laging puyat and all, pati eating habits ko, wala sa oras kumain or tinatamad kumain ganun tas no wonder sasakit ulo ko sa hapon ganun pero ayun, gusto ko pa sana magtravel or maglaro ng online games or magluto ng pinoy food (kase sayang naman kitchen utensils and all kase once ko pa lang natry magluto). Gusto ko rin sana magblog etc, magmentor, magconsultancy, magvolunteer, magpart time sa grocery dito as nagrerestock sa shelves ng items, etc huhu pero minsan kapag naiisip ko na hindi ‘profitable’ in monetary terms, parang less ko na ieentertain yung thought na to :(( sana naman makapagset aside ng time to pursue fun hobbies na not necessarily maiisip ko na waste of time or sayang time imbis na kumikita ako ganun :(( pero ayun kaya pa naman sa time yung entertainment like mobile legends, manga/manhwa, tsaka YouTube para sa WWE HAHAHA
So how is life in Japan? BEST. SUPERB. I am beyond thankful sobra :D I have the highest of praises lalo na sa sensei ko and sa university and sa lab namin, more than enough ang provided resources, conducive environment, and all! Talagang pagdevote ko na lang ng time and focus and kelangan, from time to time andyan pa rin anxiety to try a new equipment or machine or do a certain experiment, pero looking back 2021 until now, sobrang comfortable ko naman na sa most equipment, need ko lang ikeep in mind na matututunan ko rin lahat ng kelangan for research along the way hehe and super thank you rin sa scholarship kasi super comfortable naman ng life ko dito as a student, di rin naman ako gipit na gipit na nagtitipid and hindi naman ako magastos relatively, so nakakaipon talaga huhu ang hirap naman na parang andaming options pero di ko alam ano dapat ipursue, tas di ko pa maconsider sarili ko as financially stable kase nga di pa ako employed dito hay :((
Ayun, parang ang tanda ko na to still have these thoughts ng uncertainties and dilemmas hahaha parang minsan mas ok isipin na makapagsettle in life, build a house and start a family ganun, yung usual traditional life track and hindi distracted ng ganitong aspirations pero ewan haha to each his own talaga
One good realization ko na lang din ay: March 2019, wala pa lahat ng thoughts na to, considered ko as super impossible dream na makapag-aral sa The University of Tokyo, but still, kinaya mag entrance exam habang lockdown sa PH, kinaya mabuhay sa savings for ilang months habang sarado pa ang Japan at Zoom classes pa lahat, kinaya naman yung random episodes ng homesickness and anxiety about job hunting, and now malapit na sa finish line ng MS hehehe if ibang-iba ang life 3 years ago, I hope and believe na mas gaganda and mas malinaw siguro ang plans and career and skills ko (lalo na’t andito ako sa Japan) in 3 years :) ganbatte!!!

💭 Did I possibly find the troll? If you go to Irene's recent video and sort comments by "new", this person has commented under a "finally the Irene era", about an hour ago. Very active in spamming the channel with troll comments. Male wakgae who went to the concert in Manila
'https://www.youtube.com/@joeblack7326/videos /post/33539/
💭 If you look at 🫅 recent Youtube comments, the troll started being active the same time like here in the forum (4 hours ago) lmfao. It should be noted that Joe is not his real name, that's a movie character (Joe Black). But I am already onto it. For someone who has terrorized 🫅 forums as a straight guy. Wow. SareeSaga: Your Destination for Churidar Suits
Churidar suits, a quintessential Indian attire, have transcended borders to become a global fashion statement. These graceful ensembles, known for their sleek silhouette and intricate designs, have captured the hearts of fashion enthusiasts worldwide. Let's delve deeper into the world of churidar suits, exploring their history, styles, occasions, and more.
Churidar suits trace their roots back to the Indian subcontinent, where they were initially worn by both men and women. The term "churidar" is derived from the Hindi word "churi," which means bangle, owing to the resemblance of the tight-fitting lower portion of the garment to bangles stacked on the wrists. Over time, churidar suits evolved into a traditional attire primarily worn by women, featuring a long tunic or kurta paired with fitted bottoms known as churidars.
Designs and Varieties
Types of Fabrics Used
Churidar suits are crafted from a variety of fabrics, ranging from luxurious silks to breathable cottons. Each fabric lends a distinct character to the ensemble, catering to different preferences and occasions.
Traditional vs. Contemporary Designs
While traditional churidar suits feature classic motifs and intricate embroidery, contemporary designs embrace modern elements such as asymmetric hemlines and fusion embellishments. The blend of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics offers versatility and appeal to a diverse audience.
Tumblr media
Popular Churidar Styles
Anarkali Churidar
The Anarkali churidar, inspired by Mughal-era fashion, is characterized by its flared silhouette and floor-length kurta. This regal ensemble exudes timeless elegance and is often embellished with intricate zari work and embellishments.
Straight Cut Churidar
Ideal for formal occasions, the straight cut churidar features a fitted kurta paired with straight-cut bottoms. This understated yet sophisticated style is favored for its versatility and flattering fit.
Palazzo Style Churidar
The palazzo style churidar combines the traditional churidar bottom with a billowy palazzo pant, creating a contemporary twist on the classic silhouette. This style offers comfort without compromising on style, making it perfect for casual wear and festive occasions alike.
Occasions Suitable for Churidar Suits
Churidar suits are suitable for a wide range of occasions, from casual gatherings to grand celebrations.
Casual Wear
Opt for lightweight fabrics and minimal embellishments for everyday wear, ensuring comfort without compromising on style.
Formal Events
Choose rich fabrics like silk or velvet adorned with intricate embroidery for formal events such as weddings and receptions, exuding sophistication and glamour.
Festivals and Celebrations
Embrace vibrant colors and ornate embellishments for festive occasions, channeling the spirit of celebration and joy.
Choosing the Right Churidar Suit
When selecting a churidar suit, it's essential to consider factors such as body type, color preferences, and occasion.
Body Type Considerations
Choose silhouettes that complement your body type, whether it's a fitted Anarkali for pear-shaped figures or a straight-cut ensemble for an apple-shaped silhouette.
Color and Fabric Selection
Opt for colors and fabrics that resonate with your personal style and the occasion, whether it's a pastel-hued cotton suit for daytime events or a jewel-toned silk ensemble for evening affairs.
Embellishments and Accessories
Accessorize your churidar suit with statement jewelry, embroidered dupattas, and embellished footwear to elevate your look and add a touch of glamour.
How to Style Churidar Suits
Mix and Match with Accessories
Experiment with different accessories to create unique looks, from statement necklaces to embroidered juttis, adding personality and flair to your ensemble.
Tumblr media
Hairstyles and Makeup Tips
Pair your churidar suit with hairstyles that complement the neckline of your kurta, whether it's a sleek bun for a high neckline or cascading curls for an off-shoulder style. Complete your look with makeup that enhances your features and adds a touch of radiance.
Maintenance and Care
To prolong the lifespan of your churidar suits, follow these maintenance tips:
Washing Instructions
Hand wash delicate fabrics like silk and chiffon with mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric. Hang them to dry in a shaded area away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
Storage Tips
Store your churidar suits in a cool, dry place away from moisture and sunlight, preferably in breathable garment bags to prevent dust accumulation and maintain their pristine condition.
Churidar Suits: A Global Trend
Churidar suits have transcended cultural boundaries to become a global fashion phenomenon, influencing designers and fashion enthusiasts around the world.
Influence on Western Fashion
The sleek silhouette and intricate embellishments of churidar suits have inspired Western designers to incorporate elements of Indian craftsmanship into their collections, resulting in a fusion of East-meets-West fashion.
Celebrities Sporting Churidar Suits
Celebrities across the globe have been spotted donning churidar suits at red carpet events, movie premieres, and social gatherings, cementing their status as a timeless wardrobe staple.
