[INTRODUCTION] -> Royal Rejects

-> What’s this? Two for the price of one intro? Well, isn’t this just a delight! A VIOLETBLOOD and PURPLEBLOOD stand before. One clearly doesn’t want to be here as if it’s taking up his PRECIOUS time or something while the other one looks simply DELIGHTED to be out and about, meeting new people and seeing new faces! Their names are SAMHAI IMBLOK and JOHEIN KLIVER. Now despite intros being the narrator’s job, it seems like these two wish to introduce themselves! JOHEIN: Let's get this out of the way, then. My name is Johein. I work at a very successful modeling agency. I have a photoshoot in an hour, so let's hurry this up. SAMHAI: AND II’M SAMHAII!! Niice to meet ya!!! → Well since those two seemed to have gotten all they wanted to say out of their system, this introduction will come to a- Wait a minute. What’s that in the background? Seems like SOMEONE else is present with these two! What is this? A three for one introduction? How splendid! Another new face to the party! The Purpleblood looks back and gently pushes out a small, heavyset FUCHSIABLOOD who looks quite UNCOMFORTABLE and NERVOUS to be here. His name is MINJAE TISMIE and well... The only reason he’s here is because of the aforementioned Purpleblood and Violetblood that stand on each side of him.

JOHEIN: Come on now. Introduce yourself, MinJae.

-> The Fuchsiablood remains silent for a few moments before mustering up the courage to speak.

MINJAE: I-I’m... I-I’m Minjae... And um. I-I’m just here really... I don’t do much... G-Glub... ←H-Have I done enough...? I-I don’t... I don’t like all of these people looking at me... Glub.

-> In one swift motion, the Violetblood gently grabbed Minjae and pulled him close to her chest, smiling brightly as she pet his hair like he was some sort of purrbeast to help him relax. Seems like these three are gonna be QUITE the show!

Trying to answer the question; how big could trolls get before their body plans had to significantly diverge from humanoid (assuming psychic powers don’t support them against gravity) and what would they end up looking like? From what my research has uncovered, human maximum is a little less than nine feet and that leaves you really fragile. Tougher bones, skin, and circulatory system could probably knock it up to a healthy nine feet without making them look too non-humanoid, but when you get into the giant highbloods, they’d need thicker legs, deeper ribcages, possibly multiple hearts or at least strong valves in the blood vessels, and something like long shock-absorbing arms for catching themselves to mitigate the vulnerability to falling damage, which is why gorillas are quadrupedal - which, come to think of it, makes perfect sense with how GHB is usually drawn with yaoi hands. Not sure how big they’d get before they were no longer functionally bipedal though. Tailed trolls might have the tail grow much stronger and thicker, like a ground sloth’s, for support at the back? Feet would probably not be human-foot-shaped anymore. T-rex feet or elephant feet might work? A fifteen-foot troll would also probably weigh about three thousand pounds, so there’s mass to consider, and for proportional horns they’d need ludicrous amounts of calcium but they’re carnivores so they don’t have the issue elephants do with getting enough. Am I missing anything that needs taking into account?

gamzee: fancy church edition

these gams exist in the set of my au's where he joins the church fleet and finds basically everything he hoped for (and whatever would make him choose to leave is going to be a world-shattering event)

working in and refining some of my clurch aesthetic staples: purples and orangey golds, the red-green pair, the primaries trio; rainbow beads, rainbow gradient fabric; some harlequin diamond variations, that multi size spot cluster pattern i made that i really like; some bone and horn in the jewelry; snakes, and ribcages

i do have headcanon thoughts i keep meaning to write out about how different trolls choose to wear and style their sign, and what that says about them - highbloods put more emphasis on line signs and ancestors, i’m sure some seadwellers just get atrociously gaudy with it; within the church, the capricorn sign could have some extra weight given who the grand highblood is

this version of gamzee only seems to show his sign on clothes that he’s wearing in some official capacity (vestments, uniforms) but still dresses to clearly show off his blood and religious affiliation, and i’m sure that makes a multitude of statements depending on who you ask

anyway i like these outfits and i Will be using them again probably

karkat representing or being symbolically linked in some way to a caste of trolls who were wiped from existence centuries ago like makes sense as a basic premise and does indeed have some basis in the comic it's the idea that "limebloods were got rid of cus they had the power to magically pacify highbloods" that literally just feels like such a confession blog-tier "if mituna and WV ever met they would have such fun playing candy crush together"-type headcanon. like it's insane that it ever got as much reach as it did
