Child Tokime AU
"KENTARO! I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH MY GAIA MEMORIES!"
"I DIDN'T TOUCH THEM!"
"THEN WHY IS GONE FROM WHERE I PUT THEM?!"
"I DONT KNOW?! MAYBE YOU LOST THEM!"
"I DID NOT!"
How would Philip and Shoutaro react to Tokime and Kentaro having a sibling spat like this?
Who stole Tokime's Gaia Memories?
Split them apart for a while, wait for them to cool off then talk to them separately. Not only about the fighting but also about the Gaia Memories (like where it was last seen, etc) so they can retrace where it might've been misplaced.
Likely just misplaced somewhere as stated above. Maybe forgotten in a pants pocket or a purse or something. Or maybe Mikku took them, lol.

I've just had a very strange thought, and I felt compelled to ask you a prompt about it.
See, Desast from Saber and Yurio from Yuri on Ice have the same VA (Uchiyama Kouki). He also voiced Philip/Kamen Rider W in the Memory of Heroez video game. So what would happen if, by some strange twist of destiny, these three happen to cross paths?
Oh my God... Are you for real? Okay, now I want to write this!!!
"Hey, Shotaro, did you know that the reigning champion of men's singles figure skating was fifteen when he won his first gold medal in seniors?" Philip asked, holding out his phone to his husband.
"I have no idea what half of that means, but..." Shotaro's voice trailed off as his eyes found the phone screen. Pictured there was a young blond man, shoulder-length hair tied back in a ponytail, who was staring arrogantly at the camera. He was leaning on a dark-haired guy who was half a head taller and was, at the moment of the photo being taken, kissing the side of the blond's head. "Okay, who is that?"
Philip smiled as he took his phone back. "Kentaro found this compilation of the top ice skaters in the world, and wouldn't you guess, but two of them live just ten kilometers from Fuuto!"
"These two?"
"No. Surely you've heard of Yuuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov?"
"The names do ring a bell." Shotaro frowned, trying to remember where he'd heard them. "Hang on, aren't they the first two officially married gay ice skaters?"
"Exactly!" Philip snapped his fingers. "Now, they'll be making an appearance at the NHK competition, because they're friends with the skater I just showed you and because they're training a junior skater competing there. I was thinking that maybe we could go and see them."
"What???" Shotaro's mouth dropped open. Then he thought better of himself. "Okay, but how do you expect to pay for it?"
Philip smirked, an expression that rarely showed up on his face and thus unnerved Shotaro every time. "You'll see."
----------------------
Against all odds, Philip had managed to procure two two-day tickets for the NHK Trophy, so Shotaro had no choice but to admit defeat. They dropped Kentaro off at Shinnosuke's, apologizing for the inconvenience, and then drove off to Nagoya, where the competition was being held. They definitely were not expecting to be recognized.
"Hidari Shotaro-san?" A man in his thirties approached them cautiously, the expression in his eyes approaching awe.
"Yes?" Shotaro didn't mean to sound curt, but his surprise had overtaken him. "Yes, that's me."
"I live in Hasetsu. When I was fourteen, my poodle, Vicchan, disappeared, and you helped me find him. I remember you clearly." The man smiled a bit. "I never got the opportunity to say thank you."
"You're welcome-" Shotaro paused, not knowing the man's name.
"You can call me Yuuri. May I introduce my husband, Victor?" Yuuri patted the shoulder of the silver-blond man next to him before rising up to kiss his cheek, only to be startled away by Philip squealing.
"Yuuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov??? I can't believe it! It's you two!" Philip grinned, trying to contain his excitement.
"That would be us." Victor smiled, then glanced at his watch. "Oh, Yuuri, we're supposed to head in. Didn't Yurio want to meet us before he had to warm up?"
"Damn, that's right! I'm sorry, we have to go find our friends." Yuuri dragged Victor off before anybody could say a word.
Shotaro and Philip were left there, speechless. Then they both started talking at once.
"You know Yuuri Katsuki?"
"I know Japan's former leading ice skater?"
"When did that happen?"
"I don't know!"
This continued until they had to go in to get their seats. Then they shut up, watching as the skaters warmed up on the rink.
"Isn't that the guy you showed me?" Shotaro pointed out a blond on the ice, his sleek hair combed into an elaborate hairdo. He had left a red, white and blue striped jacket on the wall of the rink, and was now skating around in a red-orange outfit.
"I think so. I forgot his name, though, so I guess we'll have to find that out later."
All the skaters left the ice except the blond, who skated over to the wall to grab a drink. "First on the ice: Yuri Plisetsky, of Russia."
"I bet you ten thousand yen that that's the Yurio Victor Nikiforov mentioned," Shotaro whispered as Yuri skated out to the middle of the rink and struck a pose. The music started up just as Philip answered, a rushing, rising piece that reminded both of them of flames, so Shotaro couldn't hear him, though he had a feeling that the bet had not been taken.
Both of them were entranced by the skating, so when the music ended, they both felt like it had been far too short. But, as Philip pointed out, "Today is the day of the short programs. The free skates are tomorrow."
Just as Yuri stepped off the ice, screams erupted from the rinkside as a black figure jumped down from somewhere. It was not human by any means.
"Crap!" Shotaro cursed his bad luck as he and Philip scrambled through the screaming crowds to get to an aisle, any aisle, where they'd have a chance to transform.
"Henshin!"
Kamen Rider W, now transformed, floated down in front of the monster. Its features were twisted, red and black, and it was holding a sword to Yuri Plisetsky's throat. "Leave. Him. Alone."
"Oh? And who's going to stop me? You?" The monster's voice was eerily calm and snarky, and apparently Yuri didn't like it, as he started screaming obscenities in Russian. Just a few meters away, Victor was apparently translating for Yuuri, because both of them looked about as freaked out as the dark-haired guy next to them.
"Yes, I am. Now, count up your sins!"
"Desast!" someone yelled from behind W, and they whirled around to see a very familiar dragon-themed Rider. "Hang on, you guys are also here?"
"Yeah, we were watching the ice skating," Philip replied in Shotaro's place, wondering how Touma Kamiyama had known to come here. "Now, we should probably get that guy away from Desast."
"On it!" Touma tackled Desast away, and W held out a hand to Yuri.
"Are you okay there?" Philip asked in slow, careful English.
"No, not okay, why would you think that?" Yuri snapped in Russian-accented English that was still clearly legible. That voice made Shotaro freeze up.
"Uh, that's weird... You sound like him," Shotaro blurted out before he could think about what he was saying.
Yuri rolled his eyes. "Yeah, duh, that's why he targeted me. He said that he was looking for a human disguise, and that because I had a similar voice to his, nobody would suspect him. Not that that would work, given that that mudak attacked me in the middle of the khrenoten' competition."
"Well, you should go find out your score. We'll deal with the monster." W ran off, leaving a very confused Yuri Plisetsky behind. One of the figure's voices also sounded remarkably similar to his.
-------------------
After chasing away Desast and watching what they hadn't missed of the rest of the short programs, Shotaro and Philip met up with Victor, Yuuri, Yuri and the dark-haired guy, a retired skater himself, and Yuri's boyfriend, by the name Otabek Altyn. The moment he spotted them, Yuuri bombarded Shotaro with questions.
"What the hell was that? Who were those? Why did that monster attack Yurio? Is it going to attack again?" Yuuri paused, breathless, and Philip took the opportunity to answer the questions.
"That was a monster attack. The two figures in suits were Kamen Riders, defenders of justice. As for why the monster attacked Plisetsky-san, and whether it will attack again, I simply don't know."
Yuri raised an eyebrow, but didn't question it. The young man's voice also sounded similar to his own, but the idea that he was one of the voices of the Kamen Rider who'd saved him? No way. He said something to Victor and Otabek in Russian, smiling slightly at the three Japanese men, who shrugged in confusion.
"Well, we'll be here tomorrow to watch the free skate. Which place did Plisetsky-san get?" Philip asked Yuuri, smiling to learn that the blond Russian skater was in first place.
"You flatter me." Yuri slapped Yuuri's hand away as the latter tried to give him a slap on the back, his dry, acidic tone reminding all those present of the monster.
"See you tomorrow!" Victor called as Philip and Shotaro walked off to their car, wide-eyed with joy. Victor Nikiforov, who still held several records around the globe and was currently one of the most elite skating coaches in the world, was looking forward to see them again. How awesome was that?

In the future, multiple friends of the rider kids sing Stacy's Mom or Stacy's Dad to the next gen's parents.
How would the next gen react?
(FYI Stacy's Mom is a song about the singer wanting to bang their friend's mom and Stacy's Dad is the dad version of the song.)
Honestly, I think they'll just be amused that their friend thinks they stand a chance with their parent. They're so constantly exposed to lovey-dovey acts of affection between them (innocent and not-so-innocent) that even a blind person could see that nothing could get in the way of those people.
I mean, we have poor Yumi's innocence being tainted by her fathers going at it like one of their namesake animals, Ise being well aware of how his parents simp for each other (and being teased for it by their friends), Kentaro knowing that the whole city bet on his dads getting together... and heck, in canon we have Eiji's doppelganger knowing about Shinnosuke being in love with Kiriko. It's not even the kid himself anymore but someone impersonating him!

Minific of half boiled Shoutaro with his son?
Oh, Shoutaro. Never change.
"Kentaro, what's with this unfinished math and history homework I found?" Shoutaro asked, looking through the sheets of paper he'd found just lying about on the coffee table.
"Oh, that? Don't worry about it, I'll do it later," said the boy absently as he scribbled on the whiteboard, his phone in hand. "I'm kinda busy right now..."
Shoutaro groaned as he peeked at the phone and saw it was set to an empty-looking white screen. That, in actuality, was the app he used as a focus for his abilities, similar to how Philip would use a blank book whenever he accessed the Gaia Library. It only meant one thing- his ten year old son was on a research binge.
And it was going to be unlikely he was going to do any homework any time soon.
"Kentaro," he sighed, trying to keep his temper in check. "You have to do your homework first before you can do your research. Otherwise, you'll fail in school!"
"Why are you being all freaked out about that, though?" Kentaro tilted his head at him. "It's not like I need school," he said, genuinely confused. "I could just look up the answers to the homework anyway."
Shoutaro choked, unable to refute that. It was true that Kentaro, as someone with all the world's knowledge at his fingertips, was more or less a genius, and didn't really need to study per se. He could get perfect grades just by looking the answers up and no one would be the wiser, not even him.
"That's not the point of school!" he managed to sputter out. "You're supposed to learn these things, not just look them up whenever it's convenient for you!" Shoutaro protested. "And you're not putting any effort into anything you do! You do know that by doing that you're just cheating, right?"
Kentaro considered his father's words, and Shoutaro hoped against all hope that they were enough to get through to the kid.
"...Okay. I guess you're right." Kentaro agreed, and Shoutaro sagged in relief. "I don't know why you're being all half-boiled about it though."
"I'm not being half-boiled! I'm being your dad!" Shoutaro groused as Kentaro took the homework sheets from him.
"Whatever you say, Dad." Kentaro said, dodging Shoutaro's attempt to give him a noogie.
"Ugh, what an insolent child..." Shoutatro growled, despite the fond smile on his face. "Definitely gets it from Philip..."

Minific with Ise in Christmas attire
This just reminds me of what I'd have to wear for my Christmas party at work... I don't own a crazy hat help XD
"Ise... what the hell are you wearing?"
Ise looked down on himself, confused by the question. "A Christmas sweater?" he asked, tilting his head at his best friend.
"Yeah, I know that, Ise, but... you're supposed to be wearing an ugly Christmas sweater." Chiho gestured to her jumper, which was red and fluffy and had bits of green and gold tinsel awkwardly tacked onto it to form a decorated Christmas tree. "Your Christmas sweater is cute as fuck!"
Ise shrugged. He looked at his other friend and winced. "Is that..."
"Yeah. I didn't even know Windscale made stuff like this," Kentaro said mournfully, tugging at the hem of sweater, which had Fuuto-kun in a Santa outfit and a snowy Fuuto Tower in the background. "It's really itchy, too... how come your sweater is so nice?"
"Mama was the one who bought it for me to wear tonight, and I can't say no to her after all." Ise replied. "Tou-chan even tried to convince her otherwise but she wouldn't budge at all."
Compared to the other two, his sweater was rather tasteful- red like Chiho's, but with pixel-art like snowflakes of various sizes and designs running in horizontal stripes on the torso and upper arms, and "LET IT SNOW" written in a fancy, but pixelated script across the chest.
"Well, you're definitely not winning the ugly sweater contest in that thing." Kentaro chuckled.
"I don't think winning that is a good thing to begin with, Ken," Chiho sighed, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah... Honestly, I think that was what Mama was going for to begin with." Ise admitted, throwing his arms around his friends. "C'mon guys, let's get this Christmas party over with so we can go home and watch those trashy Christmas romcoms Papa likes so much."

So, now that Fuyuki and Ise are officially a thing...
Yuki and Ise are on their first date, but Chiho and Kentaro are spying from the other end of the room and Chiho is trying to decide who to beat up- her brother for hitting on her best friend or her best friend for hitting on her brother... And then Yuki notices them in the middle and tells Ise "sorry love, I have a sister whose butt needs kicking."
Unfortunately Yuki is too besotted for, and too scared of, his sisters to try beating them up... But he’d still be pretty cross with her lol
“Hey, are you alright? You look... kinda sick...” Ise asked worriedly. “Do you want me to get you a drink, or something?”
“No, it’s alright Ise, really,” Fuyuki shook his head, instinctively grabbing the other’s hand when he moved to stand. The former pro boxer blushed when he realized what he done and quickly retracted his hand. “I’m just nervous. I haven’t really done the dating thing in a while.”
Ise blinked at him. “Oh,” he said, surprised. “I didn’t... Chi-chan told me you were popular in high school, and you’ve got a lot of fans from your pro career, so I thought...” The dragon’s cheeks went pink and he pulled his bucket hat over his face. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have assumed...”
“And... just so we’re on the same page here...”
“Uh...” the swordsman laughed awkwardly. “I didn’t do much dating myself. It’s kinda hard when you can’t tell them about... y’know...”
Fuyuki nodded in understanding. “So... neither of us know what the heck we’re doing, huh?” he said, and Ise chuckled along with him. “I guess... we should just try to have fun together?”
“Okay.” Ise agreed, smiling at the older Rider. “Should we order something else? I’m kinda still hungry...”
“Alright,” Fuyuki said, grabbing one of the menus from a caddy on the table. “Do you want some dessert? I know it’s not exactly good for you, but...”
Ise’s eyes lit up. “No, I want some, please!” he exclaimed. “Do they have chocolate eclairs?”
“Hmm... let’s see...”
----------------
“Chi, you gotta calm down... people are gonna start looking at you funny if you keep this up...” Kentaro begged fruitlessly, trying to soothe his wife.
“Ken, you don’t understand. I don’t know which one of them I should side with.” Chiho was gripping the spoon she was using to (pretend to) eat her mapo tofu so hard that it started to bend. “It was bad enough that they hooked up at our wedding... but it had to be Nii-chan and my best friend... Which one of them should I even threaten with pain of death if they hurt the other?”
Kentaro gave her a bewildered look. “Uh... neither? Chi, it’s their first date, they’re not even official yet!” he told her. “And besides, isn’t it a good thing that your brother is dating Ise? At least you know he’s not some scumbag! And it’s the same thing the other way around!”
“Yeah, but I also know Nii-chan and Ise!” Chiho retorted. “Nii-chan definitely deserves someone as sweet and cute as our Ise, but Nii-chan is the type to open his mouth and shove his foot into it! And while Ise definitely deserves my kind and strong Nii-chan I’m worried that his one-track mind would hurt Nii-chan down the line, and he’s always away with the Swords of Logos too!”
“Uh... Chi...”
“What?!” Chiho almost yelled, then blinked. “Wait, did I say that...”
Kentaro groaned, hiding his face in his hands as he nodded. Chiho had said all that in an increasingly loud volume, and everyone at the café- including the mortified Fuyuki and Ise- had turned to stare at her.
“Uh... I’m sorry...” Chiho bowed to the other patrons in apology, before catching her brother and best friend’s gazes. Neither of them looked pleased at being spied on. She was in so much trouble...

You wrote that adorable little moment with Fuyumi and Sento at her wedding... I couldn't help but wonder, what would the wedding be like from Fuyuki's perspective?
And then I just had an idea. Snapshots of the different weddings from Yuki's perspective. Takeru and Akari, Yumi and Eiji, Akane and Hana, whoever.
Oh boy this got long haha. Also, RIP to Yuki in the end XD
The first “wedding” Fuyuki remembers wasn’t much of a wedding at all.
He was six or seven years old at the time when Japan finally joined the growing list of countries that recognized same-sex unions legally. Of course, his fathers had considered themselves married long before that- the law be damned- but having the legal recognition still had its benefits, or so they had said.
However, neither had seen the point in going about it with much fanfare, the wedding they had years ago being enough of a celebration for them. So, they didn’t even bother to dress up to drag the whole family out to city hall to submit out the paperwork.
All he remembered about it was how mind-numbingly boring it’d been, waiting for his dads to get called by the clerks, then watching them fill out the paperwork and giving it back, then having to wait even more while it was being processed. If it weren’t for him being made to watch over his rowdy younger siblings, he probably would’ve fallen asleep right there in the middle of city hall.
And he remembered how... anticlimactic it had ended up being. After all that waiting, the city clerk just called his parents, handed back the processed paperwork, and told them congratulations on their marriage.
That was it? he had thought. Weren’t they supposed to kiss or something? Not that he wanted to see such a disgustingly sappy thing, but still... he had expected something... more to it?
Well, at least they had dinner at that nice family restaurant. Those lamb chops were awesome.
------
“So. How does it feel like to be Tomari Fuyumi?”
Fuyumi rolled her eyes at her twin as he joined her at the head table. Her new husband was with his parents, trying to soothe his bawling mother and teary father. “Well... those guys are my parents now, too. Now I understand why Eiji can get so embarrassed by them.”
Fuyuki chuckled, undoing the button on his suit, loosening his tie and messing up his hair by running his fingers through it. Most of the formalities had been done with, and most of the guests either were too tipsy to care about what the bride’s twin would look like, or were too busy tearing up the dance floor to notice. Fuyumi didn’t even bother to admonish his lack of graces.
“Seriously though... how does it feel, Yumi?” he asked, looking at his twin.
Yumi’s eyes were fixed on Eiji, who was awkwardly hugging his parents as they cried all over him. He turned in their direction and caught Yumi’s gaze, mouthing help as his mother’s wailing grew louder. Yumi just giggled at her husband’s plight, shaking her head, and he groaned, Yuki seeing him roll his eyes even from their position on the stage.
Even so, the Chief still had the widest, happiest smile he had ever seen on the man- an expression matched by his radiant twin sister sitting beside him.
“I’m happy, Yuki.” Yumi said simply, her smile more brilliant than the two rings adorning her fingers. “I’ve never been happier than I am right now, and it’s all because of him.”
Fuyuki chuckled. “And to think, last night you were about to kick his ass for time-jumping without permission again.”
Fuyumi snorted. “If he thinks us being married means he can get away with pulling that kind of shit, he’s got another thing coming.”
-------------
Now this wedding had been a long time coming.
When Chiho and Kentaro had announced that they were getting married, everyone had thrown their hands in the air and yelled “FINALLY!” in exasperation, before congratulating the couple on their upcoming nuptials (and cursing Gentaro, who somehow won the betting pool on those two guys, which had reached a mind-boggling figure in the ensuing years).
As if in retaliation for all the grief everyone had given them for taking so long, the couple decided on a Shinto ceremony for their wedding- meaning only immediate family members were allowed to attend. Although, they had insisted on one exception- that their childhood friend, Fukamiya Ise, be allowed to attend as well.
Ise stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the detectives and scientists in the wedding party. From his striking snow-white hair, to the regal Swords of Logos coat he had worn instead of the kimonos everyone else had donned, and of course, the Seiken he inherited from his father hanging from his hip.
“Oi, Yuki-nii, close your mouth or you’ll start catching flies,” teased his sister as she came up to him. “Does Chi-chi know you’re ogling her best friend? ‘Coz I think that should be something she knows.”
“Shut up, Akane,” Fuyuki growled, tearing his gaze away from the younger man. “As for Chiho... I think she’s a little distracted right now.”
“Hmm.” Akane hummed as they watched Chiho and Kentaro walking under the maple leaves, Kentaro holding a parasol over himself and his bride. The couple were smiling at each other, lost in their own little world, probably speaking to each other through the mental link they shared. “I know we all said this a lot but... it really was about time, huh?”
Fuyuki couldn’t help the grin on his lips as Kentaro and Chiho drew together, like the destined partners they were as the two-in-one Kamen Rider. “Yeah... it really was.”
----------
OMAKE
“Fuyuki? May I join you for a drink?”
Fuyuki looked over his shoulder to see who had called out to him. “Ise?” He stared at the swordsman as he took the seat beside him and ordered a drink. “What brings you over here? Shouldn’t you be with my sister and Kentaro?”
Ise chuckled. “I love my best friends, really, I do, but I really can’t stand being their third wheel,” he explained. “Besides... I wanted to talk to you.”
He thanked the bartender and held his cocktail out for a toast, which Fuyuki awkwardly returned. Ise took a sip of drink as he eyed the older man. “I saw how you were looking at me earlier.”
Fuyuki choked and sputtered on his drink, his cheeks pinking in mortification. “What do you mean-”
“I didn’t mind it,” Ise told him, with a sultry grin that made Fuyuki sputter all the more. “Just so you know.”

Do you know where I can find how Philip and Shoutaro met and rescue Kentaro?
I have been looking for it but can't find it.
Well... that’s because I wrote it some time before I started the askblog, or just a little while after. I don’t exactly remember when. But it wasn’t a request someone asked from me, it was something I came up with on my own, which is why you won’t find it here.
It’s part of Double Digits, a ten-chapter fic series I wrote to celebrate W’s tenth anniversary two years ago. Specifically, this chapter, which is actually Ryu-centric, goes into it in a little more detail.
Although, if you want to be real technical, the first time Shoutaro and Philip meet Kentaro, they actually meet his future, grown-up self before they ever rescue him from Foundation X.

Next-Gen funny scenes. Involving the Kiryu family, of course, but hopefully also Ise, the Tomari family, Kentaro, and of course whoever else you want. Just, skip through time, funny scenes, and have fun with it!
Is it okay if I do hc format for this? I’m kinda swamped with minific requests right now haha
Fuyumi and Eiji’s relationship was literally the only thing that powered the rumor mill in the SIU. Everyone got so tired of their dancing around each other that Shinnosuke- director of the SIU, and Eiji’s father- put his foot down and set them up on a blind date with each other. Of course neither of them lived it down and everyone likes to remind them of it.
The researchers there have a... strange way of getting their new equipment tested. They have their R&D head attempt to blow it up, and then they ask a lightning dragon to whack it around for good measure. Needless to say, Sento is pleased at having the license to blow shit up, and Ise uses the opportunity to blow off steam
Akane didn’t tell anyone in her family about getting magic tattoos from a certain mayo-loving senpai while she was studying under him in Africa, and thus she freaked everyone out at her welcome-back dinner when she used them to summon a knife she used to cut up some fruit. One of her brothers fainted dead away lol
Ise tried playing wingman (wingdragon?) to Kentaro for years while he tried to court the oblivious Chiho. When they did get their act together, he was so relieved at not having to do that anymore... only to realize that he’s effectively been made the third wheel in the trio. He left to train in the Northern Base shortly thereafter
After... a certain incident, Sento and Ryuuga had to give their kids the birds and the bees talk in the most awkward fashion imaginable. None of their teenaged kids were impressed because they’ve had sex ed at that point, and they point out that it shouldn’t have taken the incident happening for them to do that anyway!

Okay, randomest ask ever time! How about a minific in which the RyuSen kids, Eiji, Kentaro, Haruna and Ise watch YOI together and their parents are just yelling about everything being gay in the background while the kids are simply obsessed with the ice skating?
Lmao funny you mention YOI because I’ve written a fic where at least two Kamen Riders were closet fans of it...
Also just a head’s up, most of the RyuSen kids + Kentaro were born in the mid to late 2020′s, so they could easily be watching the show like a full twenty years after it first aired... on the same network as Kamen Rider itself
“Are our parents really arguing about ships from a show that aired twenty years ago...?” Eiji sighed as he handed Fuyumi the bowl of popcorn, closing the door behind him to somewhat muffle the yelling coming from downstairs.
“Apparently they feel very strongly about it,” Chiho said, sounding amused. “Haruto-san and Tsukasa-san got everyone into it and it all went downhill from there.”
“What.” Haruna deadpanned. “You’re telling me Decade, the Destroyer of Worlds... is into gay skating anime.”
“Mostly because of the gay, apparently,” the youngest of the group, Ryuuhei, snickered as he grabbed some popcorn to nibble on. “Hey, Ise, put on the next episode already!”
“Alright, alright, geez,” the teenaged dragon huffed as he fiddled with the controls of his Tou-chan’s ancient Blu-ray player. “You know how crappy this thing is, it’s older than any of us...”
“Honestly, I don’t find the relationships as interesting as the actual ice skating... it all looks so technical yet flawless, fascinating...” Kentaro rambled.
“The animation’s pretty spot on too,” Fuyumi noted. “I think they actually had an ice skater demo some of the moves and stuff? It’s pretty cool.”
“Ice skating... it would be nice if I get to do that someday...” Haruki coughed, wrapping his blanket tighter around himself.
“Of course you will, Haru,” assured Akane as she fussed over him.
“Darn ancient thing... got it!” Ise exclaimed as he finally got the contraption to cooperate with him.
The teens fell silent as the opening song started up, their breaths held as the violins and the singer’s voice thrilled them along with the simple, rough animation of the main characters ice skating.
“Well... if anything I could see why everyone got curious after they heard Haruto-san and Tsukasa-san singing the OP. It’s good.” Fuyuki stated.
“Yep.”
“Can’t argue with that.”

Minific of Kentaro and Philip researching together?
Shoutaro sighed when he entered the Garage and heard not one, but two voices muttering in tandem. “Oi, you two, cut it out, we have a case to solve!”
“Oh, sorry, Dad.... It’s just... this ‘churros’ thing is so fascinating...” Kentaro looked up from his tablet, which just had a blank white screen on.
“Churros...?” Shoutaro questioned. He shook his head. “Anyway, I have something for you two to look up. Two somethings, actually, which is why I need you both to focus- Philip!”
The older of the two Gaia Library users sighed. “Can’t we just finish our research now?” he questioned. “It shouldn’t take much longer...”
Shoutaro took a deep breath to gather up all of his remaining patience. “No, Philip, this is urgent. If you two really want it, I’ll take you guys out for churros after the case is over.” He told them.
“...Fine.” Philip put down his marker and walked away from the whiteboard. “Hit me with your keywords, partner.”
“Alright.” Shoutaro opened the file Ryu had passed on to him. “First keyword...”
*Like Philip, Kentaro had to use something in order to focus his abilities. But unlike Philip, the Gaia Library didn’t manifest itself to him as a literal library of books- instead, he seemed to see it as a computer database of sorts. Hence why he used a tablet as a focal point.

Then: Minific about Chiho and her coffee addiction that you mentioned
“Partner, no more coffee for you today,” Kentaro told her sternly, blocking her path to the coffeemaker. “I’m cutting you off. Give me the mug and I’ll make you some herbal tea.”
“But Kentaro,” whined the detective.
“No, Chiho. You’ve had three cups this morning already- you had a Venti iced latte from Starbucks before you came in, then you bought a mocha at the cart near the police station when we visited Haruna, and you made another cup when we got back.” He recounted.
“Since when did you start tracking my coffee consumption?” demanded Chiho, who was trying to go around Kentaro to get to her precious appliance only to be blocked by him.
“Ever since I realized you go through a whole month’s worth of beans in two weeks,” he deadpanned. “At the rate you’re going you won’t be able to catch a wink of sleep...”
“Sleep is for the weak! And besides, I have cases to solve!”
“No, Chiho,” sighed her best friend in resignation. “No more coffee today, that’s final. You can have it again tomorrow.” He wrenched the coffee mug out of her hand.
“Fine...”
“I’m serious. No more coffee. If I found out you snuck some I’ll tell my dad to assign you the pet-finding cases.”
“Alright! Alright! Geez, no need to get that extreme...”

fang and gadgets reaction when kentarou was brought in the family and vice versa
Well, thing is, they were all there when they found out about Kentaro‘s... situation. Shoutaro went ballistic. Even Fang and Mikku were a bit scared of him when he started planning the rescue op; he was just that pissed over the situation.
When Kentaro was brought home at long last, Fang and the Memory Gadgets were mostly curious about him. Fang, being the only truly sentient one of the bunch, became protective of Kentaro and would hang around him all the time. Mikku, bless the old cat’s soul, was attached to the kid immediately too.

What's Kentaro and Chiho's friendship like
Well, they’re childhood friends, mostly because their parents were also good friends and because they were practically next-door neighbors. They also went to the same schools all their lives. So it became sort of natural for them to stick together.
At some point it became rather clear that Kentaro was intent on becoming W after Philip, so Chiho decided to become his Shoutaro, if you will. That formed the basis of their “professional” partnership. It was a little weird at first, with the whole bodysharing situation and all, though they did adjust fairly quickly and Kentaro respected Chiho’s boundaries so no worrries there.
Also, in their teenage years Kentaro became enamored with Chiho and vice versa... but both were oblivious to each other’s feelings, to the point that everyone and their mother was hinting at it and they still didn’t get it. Chiho’s other siblings even considered Kentaro to be practically their brother(-in-law). They didn’t get together until they were in their mid-20’s and by then they’d been pining for each other close to a decade.
