Gangster's Wife / Pt. 3

Part 4
.....................
"Oh, dear."
Hero scrambled all around her apartment, her eyes narrowed as she went into a frenzy.
Her beautiful black dress clung to her curves, with short sleeves, an off shoulder design and showing her collarbone and shoulders. A slit was near her right leg, for more access to kick and fight if needed. Her hair was open and curled, since she looked better when it was free. Hee makeup was neat, nude and neutral.
Nothing over the top. It was just classical and elegant.
Hero scrambled around as she put on her heels, glancing at the clock. She might be late by a few minutes, but then again, it's not like anyone else would be. She quickly put on the Black platform heels, a series frown on her face.
She sighs, patting her skirt as she let out a deep breath. Shaking her head, she quickly grabs her clutch, her invite and her keys, quickly walking out of her apartment and locking the door.
.......
The gala seemed so boring and peaceful, with every hero and villain talking rather calmly.
Hero sighs, walking around with a flute of champagne as the hard-drive felt heavy in her clutch. She looked all around, looking for any familiar face.
The walls and colors were gold and shallow, showing the power and wealth the hero industry had. Along with the many. The chandeliers were all lit with candles.
Many tables were set around the sides, with different appetizers that were sweet, sour, spicy and exotic. A few mini bars were also around the room, with barmen shaking their drinks and laughing heroes and villains alike.
The gala was a way to keep the villains tame, to keep the heroes good. It was supposed to show the true nature of how the two sides worked together. They may have been fighting each other, against each other, but they could also maintain peace and be good to one another.
Currently, the music was playing as many people danced to the classical song. Heroes and villains all talked with another, some civil, some kind and some not nice. A few hard glares, a few arguments had happened but it was nothing new. Especially with the rivalries and hated villains and stupid heroes against each other.
Hero pursues her lips, shaking her head as she took a sip of her drink. It was all stupid to her, heroes and villains would never understand each other.
"My, my, my, don't you look ready to fight."
Hero turns around, glaring as she spots Villain in front of her, smirking. She scowls. "What do you want?"
Villain grins. "I want a lot of things. Including a bit of info on all your precious heroes. But alas, that is only a dream." He sighs. "As your team only keeps stopping me."
Hero smiles fakely. "Well, whenever we do catch you, you somehow escape." She eyes him warily. "Your not going to do anything, right? This gala is supposed to show peace and tranquility." She crosses her arms, gripping her clutch tightly and pulling it closer.
She can't have anyone finding out that most of the information on many top heroes was in her hands, it would be too easy for the villains to steal it and gain info on them. And then how would they fight them if they knew their weaknesses?
"Peace and tranquility," Villain snorts, taking a sip of his drink. "Please, Hero. You and I both know that's bullshit. We hate each other, we all do. We're just forced to show we can be tame together so the public can be affirmed or some shit."
Hero frowns, her eyes going all around the large and luxurious ballroom. She looks back at him, playing with her feet as she swished the bottom of her dress with her heels.
Villain smirks. "And even if I did try, it would lead to a very big, very chaotic fight." He starts walking away. "And we wouldn't want that, now would we?"
Hero watched him go with narrowed her eyes, clutching her clutch tightly, she looked around warily.
She bites her lower lip, spotting Leader and Superhero taking to the hero council. Mentor seemed to be relaxed and poised, along with everyone else. It seemed that Superhero and Leader hadn't told them yet. They hadn't told them of the lead or clue. Or for the fact what had happened and what Superhero had ordered them to do.
Hero frowns, tilting her head in her usual cute way as she watched them.
This was bad and stupid at the same time. If the council found out, they wouldn't be happy. But then again, they would be happy if he was ever caught.
Hero snorts at that, shaking her head humorously. No way would that happen. He was like a shadow, lurking around but never getting caught. No one knew who he was, no one.
Even the villains feared him, especially the most powerful villains. They wouldn't even say his name for fear of provoking him, she scoffs at that. It was stupid but very nice as it showed just how strong his reputation was, even if he had never showed his face.
People thought he was myth, many civilians did. Many of the lower villains and heroes did. But they knew the truth, he was no myth. He was true as could be. He was the King of the Criminal World. He ruled it, even if he was never officially elected. He ruled it. Everyone knew this.
Hero looks back at Leader who was looking around warily, his gaze series. He was stupid, he really was. Along with Superhero. They really should tell the council of what had happened and what Superhero himself had ordered. They would be delighted but also exhausted as the attempts would be futile.
No one could ever catch the bastard.
Hero hummed, glancing down at her flute of champagne. She sighs before downing it in one go, swallowing the fizzy drink. She puts it on a empty tray before walking away, her hips swaying.
All of a sudden, a fire alarm blares out loudly, causing everyone to panic and scream. Many heroes look around in anger and annoyance, getting into positions as they looked around for any sign of danger. Many villains also run along and get into position, looking around wildly.
A few were running along and scrambling away, towards the exit and trying to leave the ballroom in a frenzy.
Hero's eyes widen in horror. "Villain," she hissed in irritation as she noticed the familiar armed goons running towards where Superhero's office was, located in the east hallway on the third floor.
"Hero has the hard-drive!"
Hero froze when she heard the yell, noticing it to be one of Villain's men, who was pointing at her. She swallows hard when she notices many of the villains turn to look in her direction, along with a few heroes.
"In her clutch!"
"Fuck," Hero mumbles before she quickly turns and runs out of the room, she hears a few yells and battle cries. She glances back to see a fight ensue between the heroes and villains. Along with an annoyed Superhero and Mastermind, who tried to control the situation which was now getting out of hand.
Hero panics as she hears the yells and footsteps of many villains running after her, she runs faster, gripping her clutch tightly. She nearly trips but rights herself, hurrying down a long corridor in panic.
She turns many corridors and corners, trying to confuse the crowd of villlains after her.
Hero huffs, turning a corner and leaning against the wall, panting as she breathed for air. She takes deep breathes, her lungs burning. Atleast she still knew she could still run in heels. She sighs, hearing the voices of Villains.
"Where did she go?!"
"Where's Hero!"
"Where the fuck did she go?!"
"Get off of me!"
"Leave! That hard drive is mine!"
"Make me!"
Hero let's out a sigh of relief as she hears a few footsteps run down the opposite hallway, with many arguments between the villains.
Biting her lower lip, she opens her clutch and hesitatinly pulls the hard drive out. She stares at it, debating what to do and where to hide it.
She makes a face. She looks around before stuffing the hard drive in her bra. She sighs in relief before she turns and heads down the corridor.
Her smile falls off when she sees who's in front of her. She gulps, seeing Villain stand before her with his men behind him. Her heart starts to race in fear and anticipation, she eyes him.
"I knew I should have cuffed you," Hero scowls.
Villain smirks, his hands in his pockets. "Kinky." His eyes narrow as he snaps his fingers. "Grab her and bring me the hard drive." He pauses. "Unless, you'll hand it over."
"Never." Hero glares hard at him.
"Fine by me," Villain shrugs.
All at once the men charge at her, Hero throws the clutch at them and they fight over it to grab it. She watches in amusement, smirking as she slowly backs away.
"It's empty, boss." One of the men spoke up.
Villain's eyes snap towards the young but also old hero. "You hid it. Where? Give it to me."
Hero chuckles. "Sure, come and get it if your bold enough." She then gets into a fighting position, her eyes smug and not at all looking like a hero.
Villain clenches his jaw in anger. "You bitch! Get her you idiots!"
Hero jumps back before punching the man in the face, causing him to groan. She then kicks his chest, causing him to be pushed back on a another man.
She then cartwheels, before wrapping her legs around one of the men's neck and twisting it, causing him to cry out at the pain.
She gets off and runs to another, punching and kicking. She flips in the air before grabbing his wrist and twisting it. The man groans, whimpering.
Hero then kicks him in between the legs before turning towards the last two, smirking and beckoning them forward.
They charge at her and she immediately dives down, punching one of their face and kicking the other. She grabs both their heads and hits them against each other, smirking as they fell down and in pain.
Hero's eyes snap up towards Villain, who was now glaring at her with hatred, looking annoyed. He clenched his jaw. "Give me the hard drive. Give it to me," he states, stepping forward threateningly.
Hero hums. "Let me think," she giggles, shaking her head. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Did I mention no?" She raises an eyebrow. She quickly turns to dart down the opposite hallway.
Villain growls, running after her. "Hero! Come back here! Give me the hard drive!" He yells out, grunting as he turns left down a corridor.
Hero grunts, turning a sharp corner. As she runs, she debates what to do and what not to do. Fuck it, why should she be scared of Villain? It's not like he'll grab it off her, no one has the guts to grab it from her from where she put it on her. She pauses and turns around, as he comes to stop a few feet away, glaring at her.
"Give it to me," Villain glares hard at her. "Come on, Hero. Don't be a pathetic little hero, give it to me."
Hero gulps, looking around as the hallway only consisted of Villain. She looks at him, her heart racing. Her eyes widen when she turns to see more men run behind her.
"Shite,"
Villain's lips quirk up. "Whoever gets the hard drive from Hero, I'll reward them." He spoke up, his eyes full of malice.
Hero gulps as she turns to see all the villains, minor assistants and henchmen behind her, eyeing her like she was some sort of weak pray.
Other Villain smirks. "Fine by me, come here Hero...." He purred, stepping forward with a creepy grin.
Hero takes a deep breath, shaking her head as she loosened herself. "Alright. Bring it," she says, before they charge at her.
She dodges most of them, ducking down and punching them in the throat or kicking them back. Her heels were good for that, that shit actually hurt.
She yelps, jumping back as a henchmen continues to throw punches at her. She narrows her eyes before ducking behind him and kicking the back of his knees, she then punches his face, knocking him out.
"Can't one of you get her!" Villain groans, leaning against the wall as he watched with growing irritation. He watched as she defeated almost ever villain easily, afterall, her skills were unparalleled.
Hero dodges another hit and instead kicks him with her heel, hearing him groan in pain. She smirks and punches him back. She looks down at her now brushed knuckles, she shakes them off and instead continues fighting the others.
"Come here," Other Villain grins.
Hero only rolls her eyes, punching his face easily. She watches him whimper before he falls down on the floor, she put a hand on her hip and tutted. "He really should train more,"
"Couldn't agree," Villain mutters.
Hero lunges at the last man, kicking him in the nose, his vision blurred and he grunted, falling to the floor. She sighs, rubbing her sore knuckles with a frown.
Villain scowls, getting off from where he was leaning against the wall. "Hero. Give me the hard drive. You know me. I wouldn't release the information,"
Hero narrows her eyes. "No, but you'd sell it."
Villain pauses, clicking his tongue. "Yes, well. I need a way to get rich and important." He shrugs before turning his dark stare on her. "Give it to me."
Hero starts to back away, shaking her head. "No..." she holds her hands up. "Do you really think I have it?"
Villain scoffs. "You may have hidden it. If you hadn't, then why did you run?"
Hero pauses. "I'm not giving it to you," she shakes her head before saying.
Villain clenched his jaw. "When I get my hands on you-"
"Touch her, and you die."
Hero froze, her whole figure stiffening up as she heard the cold and powerful voice. Her heart leaped, racing faster in her chest. She dug her nails in her palms, feeling the pain and welcoming it. She let's out a breath.
No. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. This couldn't be happening. She had hoped, begged and pleaded that she was wrong, that the clue was wrong. She didn't want him here. Fear grew in her as her eyes snapped up.
Villain blinks, slowly turning around to see two men stood behind him, a few feet away. Both of them had had a powerful but dangerous aura, especially the man who stood in front of the other man.
Hero felt her heart lurch. She discreetly patted her chest, checking if the hard drive had fell out. It hadn't, it was still stuffed in her bra.
Villain narrows his eyes, but stayed silent, not making any move. Even if he didn't know who these men were, the aura they gave off was quite dangerous. "Who are you?" He finally spoke up, his voice hesitant.
The other man spoke up. "Forgive the interruption, Villain." He didn't seem sorry, only in disdain as he looked at the criminal. "But I'm-"
"Right Hand," Hero breathes out.
Villain's eyes glance towards her.
The man looks at her, smiling. "Yes. Right Hand."
"Right Hand, that means...." Villain slowly looks over at the other men with pure fear. He gulps, trying to stay strong. "I, I, I, forgive me." He looks down, stepping back slightly.
Right Hand smirks.
Hero felt her heart race as the familar man began to walk towards her.
Villain watched with fear, anger and confusion. He needed that hard drive from that puny human. How could, how could he know about it?
Right Hand breathes out, watching his boss.
Hero looks at the tall man stood in front of her, staring at her intently. "Supervillain," she whispers quietly, his name a sweet essence on her tongue.
Villain narrows his eyes, willing his hands to stop shaking with fear. Why should he be scared? He really shouldn't. He was villain afterall. He looks between the two, perplexed.
Supervillain's lips quirk up in a small smirk, his eyes dark. He steps closer so his breath hit her face, she clenches her fists together.
He hums. "The hard drive," he spoke quietly.
Hero only stared at him in a daze. "I don't have it," she half heartily lied. His voice was rich and smooth, causing her skin to tingle.
Supervillain raised his eyebrows. "No?" His hands grabbed her hips, causing her to jolt and let out a soft gasp.
Right Hand averts his eyes, looking away from his boss and the hero.
Villain's eyes watched them, interested and confused. He narrowed his eyes, frowning and shifting in his spot, feeling uncomfortable slightly.
Hero takes a sharp intake of breath as his hands ghosted over her hips to her waist, she watches as his eyes raked over her form with appreciation. She felt her breath hitch when he paused, meeting her eyes.
Her heart drops when he smirks. He knew. But he wouldn't, would he? He didn't seem to be bold, no, that's wrong. He was bold. But he wouldn't do it in front of Villain and Right Hand, would he?
Hero only raised her eyebrow, staring at him.
Supervillain chuckles. "I see, smart and clever." He hums, his hands ghosted over her chest. "No one would dare to grab it, yet...." His fingers dipped in her bra, grabbing the hard drive and gently pulling it out.
Hero ignored the flush of her cheeks, feeling his fingers linger on her collarbone as he pulled his hand away. She could feel tingles on her skin, her eyes staring at him intensely, she gulps as her eyes glance towards the hardrive. Maybe he was bold, really bold.
Villain chokes, looking away as his face turned red in humiliation and embarrassment. His eyes grew with shock and partly disgust, what was happening?
Right Hand only sighs, looking back at them.
Supervillain hummed as he stared at the small black thing. "Very clever." He meets her gaze.
Hero only stares at him, before she blinks and her eyes go to the hard drive with a panic. She meets his gaze again with a frown.
Supervillain takes out another hard drive, similar to the first before gripping her hand and putting it in her palm.
Hero could feel her stomach churn and her heart leap as she felt his cold skin on her hand, his fingers brushing against hers. She let's out a breath, meeting his gaze.
Supervillain finally eyes her up and down, a small smirk on his face. "You look ravishing, Mi Amor." He chuckles before turning and throwing the hard drive at Villain, who catches it. He looks up in surprise, swallowing hard.
Right Hand sighs.
Hero's lips part, frowning as she looked back at the copy of the hard drive.
Supervillain leans in towards her, his breath hot on her ear. "Stay near the left of the entrance, wait there." He whispers before pulling away and addressing the criminal.
"Ye-yes?"
"You won't bother Hero anymore," Supervillain hums, fixing his cuff links casually. "You'll instead only bother and annoy and attack her team. Not her." His gaze is dark. "Got it?"
Villain gulps fearfully, nodding eagerly.
Supervillain smiles, but it held no humor. "Good." He nods, before sparing one last glance towards Hero before walking away with Right Hand following him with a serious expression.
Villain grins happily, looking at the hero smugly but it falls when he sees the shock and star struck expression on her face, along with....longing? He frowns. However, he quickly hides the hard drive and stands up straight when the hero council run over.
"Hero!" Leader calls out, the team behind him. Superhero and Mentor, along with the council walk behind them. "Is the hard drive safe?" He asks with a frown.
Hero silently holds it up, not looking at him. She just held it out, not opening her mouth.
Leader sighs in relief, grabbing it. "It's safe,"
"Oh thank goodness," Hero 2 sighs. "It's safe."
"Yeah, the villains attacking us really wanted those documents." Sidekick nods.
Teammate frowns but also nods.
Teammate 2 glances at Villain. "What happened, Hero?" She asks suspiciously.
Hero only shakes her head. "Nothing. Absolutely, nothing." She looks down.
................
Later that hour, Hero stood outside. As soon as all the heroes and most of the villains and sidekicks were gone, and she was alone, she let out a yell.
She immediately begins to pace, muttering curses. "I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid." She paced back and forth. "Why am I so stupid, this wasn't supposed to happen!" She yells. She smacks her forehead.
Hero could feel a headache coming on, she groans and rubs her head. "Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't I have stayed at home and ate ice cream?" She frowns and hugs herself, glancing at her black coat.
"I really don't understand what happened."
Hero's eyes snap up to see Villain, she sighs and stands up straight. "What do you want?" She crosses her arms.
Villain pursues his lips, staring hard at her. He doesn't say anything, only shaking his head and letting out a breath.
Hero frowns. She goes to say something but a limo pulls up in front of them on the street, she looks towards it and swallows hard.
Villain blinks.
Right Hand steps out from the front seat, giving a small smile as he turned to them. "My boss already gave orders, Villain. You should leave," he spoke coldly.
Villain nods, slowly walking away. He hesitates though, keeping an ear out to listen in on the conversation.
Right Hand turns to the young but also old hero, he smiles kindly and opens the door for her.
Hero stays put, only hugging herself as she stared at the door with furrowed eyebrows. Once she sat down, she would have to talk to him. She wasn't gonna take that chance. "I have my car, I can drive home." She spoke quietly.
Right Hand frowns. "He insists." He gives her a look.
Hero bites her lower lip.
Right Hand sighs. "You may have aged but your still as stubborn as a mule."
Hero smiles. "I thought I was stubborn as a brat according to you,"
Right Hand only chuckles. "Please. Get in," he nods to the open door he held. "It's cold. We wouldn't want you to get sick."
Hero pursues her lips before slowly nodding. She ducks down and takes a seat, watching as the door closed. She sighs as the warm heat of the limo engulfed her, warming her up from the cold. She looks down at her lap, not bothering to look at the person who sat across from her.
She closes her eyes, vaguely feeling the limo start to move. She let's out a breath, playing with her fingers.
"You've changed,"
Hero's eyes snap up to meet his when he speaks up. He leant back against the italian black leather of the limo, one of his arms spread on the seat while the other was in his lap. He was staring at her.
"People change," Is the only thing she says before turning her gaze out the window. She watched as the city lights went by, the buildings tall and regal. People laughed all around, the civilians all free and happy.
"Why did you give that hard drive to Villain?" She finally spoke up, turning to him seriously.
Supervillain only cocked an eyebrow. "Why did you hide that hard drive in your bra?"
Hero felt her cheeks flush. "I asked the question first,"
Supervillain shrugs. "It's not like he'll do anything, pesky roach." He mutters, shaking his head.
Hero frowns, shaking her head. "You don't know him like I do. He'll use it for his own benefit, he won't care about the consequences. He'll sell the information and then many heroes will fall under danger."
Supervillain stares at her. "Are you and Villain close?" He asks, patting his lap casually.
Hero shakes her head. "What does that have to do with anything? He's mainly Hero 2's nemesis," she answered his question regardless.
Supervillain only hummed, turning his gaze to the window.
Hero scowls. "Are you even fucking listening to me?" She sits up, her eyes narrowing.
Supervillain chuckles. "There she is. The Hero I know," he smirks, turning to her. "You've been so...docile."
"Call me docile again, I dare you."
"Your docile."
Hero glares at him.
Supervillain shrugs. "Am I wrong? Your so...obedient. Not that it's a bad thing," He shakes his head. "But listening to others obediently is so stupid."
Hero scoffs. "I have a job."
"Yeah. A faulty one,"
Hero glares at him.
Supervillain hums. "Although Villain is powerful, he's not that strong. He won't do anything stupid."
Hero sighs, looking down at her lap and playing with her hands.
"Speaking of stupid... "
Hero looks up at him.
"Since when do you smoke?" Supervillain was frowning at her.
Hero scowls. "Since 2-3 months ago,"
Supervillain stares at her.
Hero huffs. "What? Are you-what are you doing?" She asks in a panic when he moves, sitting down next to her. She squirms, moving closer to the window, eyeing him.
Supervillain stares at her. "Sitting down. Why? Do you have a problem? It's my limo."
Hero glares at him, squirming away from him. "That doesn't make you entitled to come in someone's personal space." She eyes him.
Supervillain leans closer. "Everything in this limo, belongs to me." He whispered.
Hero swallows hard, gripping the fur of her coat tightly as she stared into his eyes.
Supervillain stares at her for a few moments before smirking and pulling away.
Hero looks away, a scowl on her pretty face.
"Still so alluring...." Supervillain hums. "But just as fiery and passionate."
Hero's eyes snap towards his hand which was no on her lap, gentle tracing patterns on her hand. She slaps its away, snapping. "Don't touch me."
Supervillain chuckles, raising his hands in surrender.
Hero sighs as the limo comes to a stop outside her apartment building. She quickly gets out even before Right Hand has a chance to open the door. She pauses, giving him a polite smile.
She spares one last glance towards Supervillain before turning and walking inside.

Prompt 71
“How could you possibly think trusting someone like me would be a good idea?”
“Because you’re not a bad person.”
“I’m literally [Villian]! How could you say that I’m not a bad person?”
“No one has ever actually seen you do harm. There are just stories and rumors. You could’ve killed me a long time ago but you didn’t. Instead you saved me. That’s how I know you’re worth trusting.”

Gangster's Wife / Part 1.
Warning: Language, Mature Themes, Violence, Spicy.
Part 2.
............ ............
At first, Hero had been confused. She was perplexed at the thought of Superhero wanting to retire. But then again, Hero herself has watched many superheroes and mentors retire and turn old and then eventually die.
Afterall, she's been alive since the 1900s.
Back then, she was only a assistant. Someone who worked at the back desk, sorting through files, working through evidence and just a sidekick. She had worked her way up, working hard and manifesting her powers. And now, currently, she was the top five heroes in the world. Her boss, Leader, was number 1.
Although, Hero's friends back in the 1900s advised her against working for the Hero Industry, she had opted ignore them. It was dangerous and very hard to work for the company. Especially the sacrifices, the training and the punishments....
Unfortunately, if you were a level one hero, you would get no benefits. You would have to be famous and a fan favorite.
But then again....
Hero has been working almost a century or so. Years of trying to find the lead, of trying to find the main link, the heart of the corruption. But all she got was more dirty evidence of all the mentors and superheros. Which she kept for solid evidence.
It was amusing almost. The industry had a mole, a undercover spy in their line of work for years and they never noticed. Maybe because when spies did infiltrate, they would be tortured and the work was too much. The training was extensive, you had to reach beyond your limits. And it was painful if you weren't used to it, you had to endure it.
And once you entered the hero industry, it was hard to get out. The agency was stern, strict and didn't like when rules were broken.
But at this point in life, Hero was glad she wasn't dead yet. Or had been killed yet.
She had been in a lot of life-risking situations, deadly circumstances. But she always got out, she always found a way to get out and defeat the villains, criminals and everyone in between. She was that good. Or maybe a 100 years of training helped you. But despite that, she never was number 1. Probably because she didn't do it for the fame. She never did it for the fame.
But then again, not many heroes cared for saving people......it was always about the glory.
"Wait, why?"
Superhero blinks. "What do you mean why?"
Hero also frowns, turning to Teammate with a confused expression.
Teamate sighs. "Hero means why are you retiring? Your our boss, our boss's boss. Our main macho. Your one of the best superheros. Why are you leaving?"
Superhero chuckles. "I guess I am rather powerful."
Hero raised her eyebrows. Was that all he got from Teammate's words? That he was powerful?
"But to answer your question, Teammate." Superhero gets up from his seat, walking towards the window. "I have grown old and frail. Despite my youthful and handsome appearance, I have grown desperate and tired." His eyes darken.
Leader, who was silent up until this point, spoke up. "Why?" His eyes narrowed, always serious and stoic. Always following the rules.
Hero stared at him. Despite her being older then him, he was still number 1. Maybe the industry didn't like century old heroes, maybe they didn't like old ones who didn't follow the new rules, or maybe because Leader never broke the rules.
It was partly true. He never broke the rules. And because of this, he made sure his public appearance was the best. He was a fan favorite afterall. It's not like anyone hated him, even if they did, it would be illogical since he has caught many villains and criminals in short amounts of time.
Hero also caught villains, more then Leader maybe, but she had to work her way up. She was a assistant, a desk worker, a sidekick, a teammate, then she became a minor hero. Then she gradually began to gain fame and glory. But who knows if it would do her any good.
Leader had actually been hired as a hero, he didn't work his way up. He didn't get the taste of being a minor hero who had to suffer, who hadn't gotten a taste of the consequences.
Hero's pretty eyes turn towards Superhero, she tenses when she sees the dark look growing on his face. She swallows hard when his lips quirk up in a small yet amusing smirk.
Superhero turns his head to the team. He stares at Leader, glancing at Hero, Sidekick and Teammate. He looks at Hero 2 and Teammate 2. He smiles as he spoke, his voice clear in the silent office.
"Tell me, have you ever heard of the whispers," he whispers ominously. "Of the rumors, of the crimes, of the tall tales, the stories?"
Leader gulps, his eyes oblivious as he clearly didn't understand. "Of what, sir?"
Superhero chuckles. "Tell me, have you never once heard the whispers? The name?"
"Of what....?" Sidekick speaks up, a frown on his lips ad he tried to hide his growing fear.
"No." Superhero shakes his head. "No. Not of what. Never of a what. But who. Of who?"
"Who?" Teammate 2 asks, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
"You want me to say his name?" Superhero questions. "They say even whispering his name will make him known of your presence, of your disrespect." He spat the words out venomously.
"Of...who?" Leader had no idea why his boss was getting so worked up. Who was this who?
Superhero shake his head. "A 150 years. A 150 years. Years, centuries, decades!" He snaps angrily. "We have never been able to catch him. He lingers in the dark. He's always escaped! Even the most baddest and biggest criminals and villains are scared to say his name."
Hero 2 frowns, scoffing in disbelief quietly. That made no sense. Villains were scared of nothing and nobody. They were evil, selfish and cruel. Who could they possibly be scared of?
"His fearful name even lingers in their brains, they always be wary of him. They fear him." Superhero rambles to himself.
"Who, sir?" Leader says, his eyes narrowed as his impatience began to grow.
Superhero pauses, his eyes turning to the team slowly. ".......Supervillain." he whispers.
Hero's eyes snapped up, staring at him.
Teammate yelps, Hero 2 screams, Teammate 2 whimpers, Sidekick jump and even Leader flinches.
Hero's hands grow clammy, she clamps them together. She clenches her jaw, her eyes snapping to the ground.
"For years the hero industry have been trying to catch him. For nearly a century all the heroes, superheroes and everyone else have failed. He's never been caught." Superhero growls.
"B-but, but I thought that he was a myth." Hero 2 whispers fearfully.
"He's real, my dear. More real then those villains you catch. Even they fear him, yet many have never met him."
"So we find him," Leader proclaims.
Hero silently thought, that Leader was an idiot.
Superhero scoffs out a laugh. "Many superheroes and heroes have thought that too. They never caught him. They gave up many times. And those that never did, well, they'd end up dead." He snorts.
Hero swallows hard.
"So, what do you want us to do?" Sidekick frowns.
Superhero sighs. "I may be retiring but that doesn't mean I'll retire before I find him. I want you to abandon any other missions you have. Leave them all too the other heroes and whatnot. I want you guys on this," Superhero starts.
"You mean...." Teammate trails off.
"Yes. I want you to find, Supervillain." Superhero orders.
Hero almost immediately becomes rather pale. "Y-you m-mean..." she swallows hard.
Superhero nods, noticing her fear. "Yes, Hero. I want you to find him. All of you. You must find him no matter what. I don't care. It's been long enough, he can't stay hidden forever. He has to be found." He sighs. "He has committed the most devious crimes. He's a monster, a very powerful monster."
Hero clenches her fist, digging her nails into her palms as she glared at the floor hotly. He was wrong. He was evil.
"Find him, Leader." Superhero states. "Find him and bring him to me."
.....................
"This is bad, this is bad, this is so bad on so many levels!"
Hero stayed silent, sat obediently on her seat in the rec room. She glanced up at her team talked.
"Hero 2, what's wrong with you?" Sidekick spat, looking annoyed.
Hero 2 scoffs. "Are you out of your fucking mind?! Sidekick, it's him!" She swallows hard. "We have to find a walking myth, a work of evil. How the hell are we supposed to do that?!"
Teammate 2 sighs. "All the villains are scared of him. They never even speak his name, in fear of him finding them and punishing them."
Hero 2 nods frantically. "See! Even the villains are scared of that evil reincarnated!"
Hero grits her teeth, staring holes at the floor. He was not a evil incarnate.
Teammate narrows her eyes. "Yeah. But a few villains may know who he is. His actual identity. Who he really is and where he's hiding."
"Sure they do," Sidekick scoffs.
Teammate rolls her eyes. "One of them have too. Maybe...Villain? Or maybe Mastermind?" She hums, thinking about their biggest nemesis and rival.
Villain was cruel, evil and very clever. He's had the city in his pocket for a year or two now. They've been trying to catch him, but he always escapes. And when they do catch him, he always somehow escapes. He was that clever.
And Mastermind. He was cruel. Just plain cruel and unjust. He had killed about a few innocent people. But that was all it took for him to become their nemesis.
Hero was scared. Hero was really scared. She was clenching her fists tightly, her heart racing wildly as her eyes turned fearful. He knew.
He knew they would be trying to find him. He knew they would be trying to apprehend him, he knew they would be trying to catch him. He knew.
Many have tried, many have tried but he always knew. Didn't he? That explained everything.
Hero's heart skipped a beat. If he knew....would he know that she was trying to find him? That the team, a team she was on, was trying to find him.
"Okay, enough." Leader spoke up. "We need clear heads. We need to logical and calm about this. Yeah, he's a myth. A very evil and good myth. He's been hiding in the shadows forever, that just makes him look cowardly." He scoffs.
Hero scowls. He was not a coward. He was the very opposite of that.
"We need to find leads. However small, we need to trace him. Maybe the last person he was with, or maybe the last place he was in."
Hero looks up.
Teammate groans. "That could be any place. He's probably been all along the globe these past years."
"Great," Sidekick snorts. "That narrows it's down."
Teammate 2 hums. "No, she could be right about this. We need to find the last place he had been, last year, tops."
Teammate nods. "Yeah. Maybe a place where the crime rate went up. We need to find where, abruptly, a crime rate went up."
Well, atleast they have smart ideas. Hero thought bitterly.
"But how? There are so many places." Hero 2 frowns.
Leaders sighs. "Then we find any possible lead. We start with that. Atleast we actually have something. Then we can torture the villains for any other ideas." He nods.
They all nod.
"Good," Leader smirks. "We'll be the team that finds the legendary Supervillian."
Probably not, Hero thought silently.

Gangster's Wife / Pt. 4
Warnings: Mature Themes, Violence, Language, Spicy, Drinking, Intoxication, Alcohol Intake, Drugs, Drunk.
................
It was a week later when Hero realized she was vulnerable and weak against all clever tactics. And that her guard was down, along with her apartment's security.
Leader had now gone absolutely bonkers in finding information about Supervillain, along with Teammate and Sidekick. Teammate wanted to go against all odds and find him, wanting to prove she was a good hero.
Sidekick wanted to be deemed important too. But it seemed as if something else lingered, something dark. He wanted to find the criminal, with borderline obsession.
Teammate 2 was begrudgingly agreeing with them, just going along their views. She didn't want to work so much, especially if it lead to nothing. She had high hopes that nothing would happen.
Hero 2 didn't want too, showing her visible fear against the large criminal.
Hero hadn't cared. Except for the fact that Leader had added more hours to track down Supervillain. It gave them more unnecessary extra work, making them more sluggish.
Maybe Hero was being selfish, she hadn't told anyone about what had happened the night of the gala. And she knew she wasn't obligated too. She knew no one knew about her past. No one except her mentor and best friend, who had died a few years ago. Age had finally caught up to them.
But that didn't mean that she was all innocent and free. No, it meant quite the opposite.
"Eek!" Hero yelped, tightening her grip on the towel around her body, her eyes widening as she saw all the henchmen around her lovely living room. It didn't look so lovely anymore.
Many of the henchmen averted their gazes immediately as the hero stepped out of the bathroom. They looked away, fearing the wrath of their boss. Many turned around while others turned their gaze to the ceiling or floor in fear, feeling rather uncomfortable.
Supervillain, who was leaning back against the coach, looked up. His eyes met her gaze, his eyes rake her form.
Hero narrows her eyes. "Are you out of your mind! Get out!" She screams, looking at all the men.
Supervillain snaps his fingers, keeping his gaze on her. "You heard the lady. Step away."
Much to Hero's disdain, they only went in the direction of her kitchen and entryway. Some even went as far to go outside her balcony.
She scowls, turning to look at him.
Supervillain only raised his eyebrows.
Hero stares hard at him. "What are you doing here?" She questions with a frown, pulling the towel down slightly to cover her bottom. She starts to slowly walk towards her bedroom, needing actual clothes on. Her cheeks were still flushing from the slight surprise of the men in her home.
Supervillain follows her, much to her obvious annoyance. "I'm here to visit you. Can I not do that? I need to make sure all the heroes are abiding the law," he said, mock clear in his voice.
Hero pushes him out of her room. "Stay," she points at him. "I need to change."
Supervillain rolls his eyes. "It's nothing I haven't seen before," he smirks, eyeing her up and down.
Hero turns red, either from embarrassment or anger. Maybe both most likely.
Supervillain stares at her, moving closer as he leant against the door ledge. "Don't you remember those nights? Those sweet, quiet and sometimes very loud nights." He purred. "Remember that one night? That night in Ibiza."
Hero clenches her jaw before slamming the door in his face, she huffs and leans her back against the door before locking it and trying to find some clothes and hopefully find her dignity. She breathes out nervously.
Yeah, she was screwed.
It had been almost 2 weeks since then.
Upon Hero 2's request, or rather demand, the team had decided to relax for a night and come out of their worrisome loads of stress for a night out.
Leader had been annoyed and had rejected the idea immediately. But upon learning they needed clear heads to actually work, he begrudgingly agreed. Teammate and Teammate 2 were on board. And Sidekick, he was ready to party. Hero was hesitant but she had also agreed.
She had put on a short black dress with spaghetti straps, a leather jacket, some black heeled ankle boots and her black bag. She had opened and curled her hair and put on some makeup.
Her outfit wasn't as sparkly, sultry, or frizzey as her team's, but she didn't care. She just wanted a relaxing night out without any stress or worry for the future. But it seemed as if destiny hated her.
Hero sighed in annoyance as the loud music of the club rung in her ears. She was sat at the bar, playing with her gin and tonic. She didn't want to drink too much, seeing as they would probably work tomorrow. She didn't need to be hungover.
Hero's exquisite eyes went to Teammate and Teammate 2 who were dancing wildy on the dance floor with smiles on their face, yelling and cheering.
Leader was sat on the side, drinking some scotch sip by sip, looking around in boredom. He really needed to loosen up or something, he was so rigid.
Sidekick was sat on the side with many girls around him, smoking a vape as they all laughed and cheered him on.
Hero shakes her head at him, so immature and irresponsible. Her eyes snap towards Hero 2, she was unfortunately, smoking weed. And holding a small bag with some white substance in it.
Hero's heart starts to race, she sits up slightly as Hero 2 thanks the man.
This wasn't the first time that Hero had seen a hero or even a sidekick get drugs, or drink. In fact, if you looked at it in a different way, the heroes did drugs more then villains. They drank more, they spent more money, they did drugs, it was the fame and money that got to them.
It was all so...twisted.
Hero sighs, shaking her head. She looks back at her gin and bites her bottom lip. Grabbing the drink, she downs it and shakes her head. She takes a deep breath, thinking everything over. She tried not to overthink.
Tonight, she wouldn't think about Supervillain nor the Industry.
She would only have fun.
Without getting drunk or high.
Hero's eyes snap towards the bartender. But then again, it wasn't like she had a low tolerance. She had a high alcohol tolerance, as expected, seeing as she was decades old and drank some times. And over the years, her tolerance grew. "Excuse me."
"Yeah." The bartender turns to her.
"Can I have a few shots of tequila?"
Well, there was no going back now.
Hero stares at the tiny shot glasses with some hesitation. She had told herself she wouldn't get drunk, but she wouldn't if she drank to much. She didn't need or want a hangover. Pushing back all the things holding her back, she grabs each glass and starts downing them.
The alcohol burned her throat but she let it in, feeling a slight buzz in her head. She shakes her head, liking the feeling.
"Go, Hero!" Hero 2 came over, grinned widely as her eyes shone.
Teammate also came over, smiling but also tired from all the dancing. Teammate 2 seemed to be preoccupied with a man, enjoying him as she danced rather proactively.
"You having fun?" Teammate smirks, ordering a vodka.
Hero 2 was holding a martini, taking small sips.
Hero groans. "Maybe I shouldn't have downed them all at once."
"Don't be silly." Hero 2 laughs. "Hey! Can we get another round of tequila?"
Hero huffs. But she didn't regret her decision. Okay, maybe she did. But she downed the next few drinks with her team, taking caution and going slow this time.
"Ooh, I feel so amazing." Heri 2 slurs, giggling. "I'm gonna go find leader." She then walks away, cheering and yelling.
Teammate rolls her eyes, downing another shot.
"We really shouldn't mix drinks," Hero says, eyeing the tequila and voda that Teammate was drinking.
Teammate only shrugs. "Who cares? I don't. I'm not gonna remember this anyway. I'm go find myself a guy to sleep with. See ya!" She then downs her vodka and struts sway.
Hero sighs, groaning as the loud music now seemed to be much louder. Maybe the alcohol really did start to affect her now. The last time she had drank was about a year ago.
She debated about whether leaving the club or not. She really didn't want to leave her friends. But seeing as Teammate went to find a guy, along with Teammate 2, and Hero 2 seemed really preoccupied with her dealer or something. She didn't think she had a choice.
And Sidekick seemed to be busy with a girl, really busy.
Hero quickly looks away, spotting Leader. Her eyebrows furrowed before they widened in panic.
Right Hand seemed to be talking with Leader, both chatting casually.
Hero swallows. If Right Hand was here, that meant that Supervillain....
Her eyes look all over the club, but she finds him no where. She looks back at the two, eyeing them with concern. Surely, Supervillain had sent his right hand here to extract info.
She grabs the last tequila shot and downs it.
She quickly makes her way towards them, meeting Right Hand's gaze. She narrows in on him, frowning deeply.
"Oh, Hero." Leader spoke up. "You're still here. I would have thought you left some asshole or something."
As if boss would ever let that happen, Right Hand, thought.
Hero smiles politely. "You know I'm not the sleeping type. Nor the drinking get drunk type. I'm good."
Leader nods. "Yeah, I get that." He takes a sip of his scotch. "Hero 2 said she was gonna leave with some jerk. Teammate and Teammate 2 already left with their guys. And Sidekick is also probably going to leave."
Hero frowns. Would they just abandon each other for some sex? They could have atleast told her, or each other. "Right.. " Her eyes go to Right Hand, who only gives her kind smile.
Leader downs his glass of scotch.
Hero clears her throat. "Well, I'm also going to leave. If you don't mind."
Leader shakes his head. "Yeah, I don't mind. You can go ahead. I was gonna leave in a couple minutes anyway," he nods.
Hero stares at him for a few seconds before she slowly nods, glances at Right Hand, and gives him a polite smile, before turning and walking away.
Her heart was hammering in her chest, almost beating out of her chest. There was no doubt that he was also here. She was gonna pummel him into the ground, pull him up and then pummel him again.
As she was leaving, a waiter came up to her, holding a tray. It held a black rose and card.
Hero narrows her eyes, already knowing who it was from.
"Miss, this came from a secret admirer for you."
"Secret admirer, eh?" Hero snorts. But she grabs the card anyway, opening it up to read it.
You look absolutely gorgeous
So glad you came out to party
S. V.
Hero rolls her eyes. She quickly rips up the, possibly expensive card, before grabbing the black rose and stalking away. She storms out of the club, her eyes narrowed as she looked around the parking lot and entrance of the club.
The line was long. A few people outside were smoking cigarettes, cigars and vapes. A few were even making out and taking a breath of fresh air.
She then spots it.
His car was parked a few feet away, with some cars with his people surrounding it. It looked as if they were in a gang as his men were dressed in leather jackets and jeans instead of their usual suits.
Supervillain was leaning against the car, smoking a cigar.
Hero clenches her jaw, not bothering to notice the three girls stood a few feet away, they also seemed to be a part of his people. They looked like his assistants or something. She didn't care though, she didn't care if they had the hots for him or not.
Right now, she was fuming.
She starts to storm towards him, her fists clenching as her grip on the Black Rose tightened. Her heels clicked against the pavement.
"Are you out of your fucking mind!" Hero snaps, ignoring the shocked and surprised expressions of some of his men. They must have been new.
Supervillain chuckles. "I see you got my gift,"
Hero scowls. She brings up the rose to his face before dropping it to the floor and stomping on it with her heel.
Supervillain frowns. "Now that hurts my feelings, Hero." He looks at her. "Are you really that angry at me, my love?"
"Don't call me that!"
Supervillain rolls his eyes.
Hero scoffs, crossing her arms. "Have you finally lost your mind? You do realize that my team was also in the club? They could have spotted you. You do know they're tracking you, right?"
"Speaking of," Supervillain eyes her up and down. "You look absolutely-"
"Don't." Hero holds her hand up.
"Boss-"
"Is there a reason why you interrupting us, Assistant?" Supervillain raised an eyebrow, a warning in his eyes as he spoke coldly.
Assistant gulps, shaking her head before she backs away towards the other two girls.
Hero narrows her eyes. "Have you grown so lonely, your keeping girls?" She snorts, crossing her arms. Her eyes flashed with a weird but familiar emotion.
Supervillain smirks. "Jealous, my little hero? They're my most trusted tech people. Very intelligent and good at tracking people online."
Hero frowns.
"Do what you want. Your team won't even find me."
Hero sighs, groaning as she held her head.
"Now," Supervillain throws his cigar to the floor, stepping on it. He gestures to his men, who open up the car door. "Get in. I'll drop you off."
"I'm good. No thanks," Hero scoffs.
"You have alcohol in your system, I'm not gonna let you go alone." Supervillain chides gently. He abruptly grabs her wrist, causing her to yelp. "Come."
"No! Let go! I'm only buzzed, tipsy even." She pulls her wrist out of his hand. "Let go of me! I'm not drunk!"
Supervillain snorts. "Sure you are."
Hero pulls away from him. "Fuck off!" She snaps before turning around to storm away. She yells as she's suddenly lifted into the air.
"Oh my gosh! Are you out of your fucking mind! Let me go!" Hero yells as he had lifted her over his shoulder. "Let go of me!" She starts to wiggles her legs, squirming.
Supervillain rolls his eyes, a small smirk on his lips. He nods to his men. "Take the car back. I'll come back in my own." He starts walking towards his own black Mercedes.
Hero yells, squirming and wiggling her legs to get out of his grip. "Let go of me!" She gasps when he delivers a sharp slap on her ass.
"Shush, would you? Your screaming is distracting."
Hero's whole face had turned red.
Supervillain chuckles. "I forgot how much you enjoyed me slapping your ass. In fights and in the bedroom." He smirks.
Hero growls. "That so not fucking true! Forget about it! Let me go! I can arrest you for manhandling and harassment!"
Supervillain snorts, opening up the front seat. "Sure, you can. But you won't." He drops her onto the seat, closing the door. He quickly makes his way to the driver's seat.
Hero scoffs, trying to open the door but finding it's locked. "Open the door." She turns to him.
Supervillain ignores her, starting up the car. He quickly turns and backs out of the parking of the club.
"This is kidnapping!"
Supervillain scoffs. "Yeah, sure it is. Especially when I'm dropping you back at your apartment."
Hero glares at him heatedly. "Fuck you." She crosses her arms and leans back in her seat.
Supervillain smirked as he drove through the road of the city lights. "I would. But you would get angry."
Hero clenches her jaw.
Supervillain glances at her. "Oh come on, that was funny."
"No, it wasn't." Hero replied coldly.
"Wow. You really have gotten boring over the years,"
"I have not!"
"Sure."
"I haven't!"
"Then where's your sense of humor?"
"I don't laugh at your stupid jokes."
Supervillain gasps, looking possibly offended. "My jokes aren't stupid. They are the best,"
Hero shakes her head, glaring out the window.
Supervillain glances at her, humming quietly as he eyed her and down. "You really do look beautiful."
"I know."
"Humble, much?" Supervillain rolls his eyes.
"Fuck off."
Supervillain smirks. "There's that fire. I've missed somebody scolding and yelling at me." He sighs. "It's always everyone who's scared of me. It's pretty annoying."
Hero ignores him.
Supervillain puts a hand on her thigh.
She immediately slaps it away.
"Ow!" He pulls his hand back, his brows furrowed as he stared at the road. "You slap hard."
Slap with a flat palm. That's what he had told her long ago. Hero glares at him. "Don't touch me."
Supervillain smirks. "Your forgetting, darling. That I've touched you everywhere. Multiple times." He purred.
Hero's cheeks tinted, her mind wavering. They went headfirst and without falter, into the gutter. Unwanted memories flashed in their mind, demanding and hot.
All the touches, kisses, tangled sheets, late nights, all those moments came back at her like a train. She scowls. "That was a long time ago," she says quietly.
Supervillain only hums. "And yet, I haven't forgotten about you."
Her eyes glanced towards him, but she didn't say anything. She didn't need to. The silence said everything.
Supervillain continues driving, humming quietly.
Hero swallows, looking away with her eyebrows furrowed. Her pretty eyes go to him as his hands, large ans callused, turn the radio on. She takes a deep breath, spotting his muscled and veiny forearm. She looks away.
Yo, what's up? If you trying to get into contact with me
Leave a quick message after the beep
And I'll make sure to get back to you
In one handshake, peace
Hey Mijo, it's me again
I've been tryin' to call you already five to six times
You're not pickin' up your phone and I'm worried
Ya son las tres de la mañana, babe, ¿dónde estás? I know I always bring this up but now it's time we talk Mijo, please take a lil minute, sit back and relax Listen to my words, I ain't tryin to be your mom Te quiero mucho por favor and I deserve to know what's up
Hero frowns, shifting in her seat. Her eyes go outside the window, watching the city buildings go by. It was night now, almost midnight. The lights were still on, with people walking about normally.
Many cars were also speeding away on the road, with horns honking. She could spot civilians walking safely.
All those late night calls, when you gotta bounce Your homies coming first, what's that all about?
I fell in love with a gangster, yeah, that's right
Hero's eyes snap towards him, her eyes narrowed.
Supervillain only hums along, tapping the wheel with beat.
But I don't think you realize how I hurt inside Always worryin', mi pelon, if you're comin home
That's why I call you so much when you leave me alone I don't wanna bug and this I promise you But in this situation, it's so hard to trust you I care about you so much, lovin' you like crazy
All I really want is to have your little baby Tell me that you love me, you will never leave me Soy la reina de tu vida and you're happy to be with me
Hero clenches her jaw.
Daddy, let me know that I'm your only girl The only man that I need in this gangster world is you
Hero starts glaring hard at him.
And I wouldn't trade it
So why you think I would lie, won't you tell me, girl? The only one that I need in my gangster world is youAnd I wouldn't trade it
Hero scoffs, turning away from. "Your unbelievable."
Supervillain only smirks.

Snippet 5
Part 2
The door closed behind them.
Hero moves away, having trouble with the stupid layers of veils covering her face. She had told Supervillain that she would marry him, but on one condition.
Only he could see her face. No other villain would, no one else except him.
The wedding was very grand and ridiculously large. Seeing as Supervillain and a Hero were being married because of a stupid treaty or deal, the whole city came. Which was way ridiculous.
But it wasn't annoying either.
There were no vows and there was no kiss, seeing as her face was covered and no one but Supervillain, maybe, would see her face.
She heard a click, the door being locked.
She turns, seeing a peek of the Supervillain leaning against the door through her veils.
Her dress wasn't that extravagant, but it was quite pretty and poofy, a bit revealing on the necklines but it was quite beautiful. The lace at the bottom was quite intricate.
Supervillain stands upright and takes a few steps forward, his gaze deadly and dangerous but it also had a unique type of gentleness. Something Hero didn't understand.
"Well," Supervillain smirks. "You said you'd marry me on one condition. It's time you hold up that end of the bargain,"
Hero hesitates.
"Oh, and don't try to back away now. Your mine now," Supervillain grins, his eyes flashing. He moves closer, only a few feet away. "You belong to me."
Hero let's out a breath. "This does not mean I belong to you." She grumbles before shedding the first layer of veils. She keeps doing it slowly, almost teasingly.
Supervillain watches her eagerly, wanting to see her face.
Hero hesitates at the last layer, which was kinda see through. She slowly peels it off, her eyes clenched closed. She slowly opens them as the veil drops to the floor.
Supervillain feels like the breath was knocked right out of him. He's heard the villain and many other criminals rant in annoyance about Hero, but seeing her like this was something else.
She was absolutely gorgeous.
So breathtakingly beautiful.
She was so pretty.
Her hair, was open and curled for the ceremony with small white flowers stuck in it.
Her face and skin, so gentle and soft.
Her eyes, so unique and glowing.
Her lips, so pink and plump.
Hero swallows hard, staring at him with nerves. She wrings her hands together, chewing on her bottom lip.
Supervillain tilts his head, his staring a bit irritating for her. It was like he was analyzing her or something.
Hero sighs. "What?" She says, fed up.
Supervillain stays silent for a few moments. "Hmm," he hums. "It's nice to put a face to the voice. Finally," he nods.
Hero rolls her eyes. "Your insufferable, you know that?" She glares hard at him.
Supervillain continues staring. "Now, now, darling." He smiles, moving closer to tuck a stray hair behind her ear. She shivers. "Remember who I am. I'm your husband,"
Hero pulls away. "And I'm your wife. This goes both ways," she tells him.
Supervillain tilts his head, staring at the small features on her face and planting them in his brain. She was so beautiful, he couldn't stop staring at her.
Hero sighs through her nose. "Now, I'm going to go change. This dress is already so ridiculous." She rolls her eyes and turns towards the bathroom, her heels clicking.
Supervillain watches her go, a smirk growing on his face.
Maybe life wouldn't be so bad with his witty and sassy Hero wife after all.

Snippet 6
Warnings: Language, Emotional Manipulation maybe??, some degrading.
"Hero, I'm just warning you-"
"Stop warning me then!" Hero 2 snaps, glaring hard at Superhero. She shakes her head. "You say that like it's a bad thing!"
Superhero breathes out, her beautiful hair in a bun. Despite being the leader now, she was still very active, pretty and powerful.
Hero 2 shakes her head. "Look, Superhero..." She starts in a annoyed tone. "It's not illegal for villains and heroes to be together! Why do you keep reminding me about Supervillain!" She scowls, crossing her arms.
Superhero sighs. "I'm just looking out for you, Hero 2. You don't want to get to close-"
"Well tough! Because he's in love with me and we belong together." Her face grew with anger. "So stop talking and 'warning' me about this!"
"I'm trying to help you!"
"No, your not! You know nothing about this!" Hero 2 snaps. "You just don't like that I have a life outside of this hero life."
"That's not true-" Superhero tries to talk.
"Of course it is, unlike you, I actually have a life!" Hero 2 says loudly. She turns around to storm away, most likely towards Supervillain.
Superhero sighs, walking to her desk, sitting down in her chair. Her eyes trail towards the picture on her desk, it was of a younger her and...Supervillain. Who was now Mastermind, the biggest criminal in the world. No hero industry could catch them.
Back when Mastermind was just Supervillain.
And back when Superhero was just Hero.
They still loved each other, but circumstances had changed. They couldn't be together because the world wouldn't let them, sure the rules changed but destiny still didn't want them together.
Maybe because they knew that SuperHero would immediately join them, given the chance. Seeing as the Hero Industry was still...slightly...corrupt. But no one knew because the people, or people of the hero Industry made sure no one found out about the atrocious affair the two had.
It's funny, she was a SuperHero currently, but back then she was a Hero who almost became a villain. It's funny how everything changed when her Superhero told her that it was forbidden and she couldn't do anything because she was just an average hero.
Well, look at her now.
SuperHero missed her Supervillain, not this Mastermind. He wasn't her Supervillain, but then again, this SuperHero wasn't his Hero.
His sweet, loving, cute, kind, caring and intelligent Hero who always helped people despite sometimes not having anything. She was always so kind and sweet, the women now, the SuperHero was now more mature and docile.
She wasn't as rebellious, she wasn't as young, she wasn't as active anymore, she wasn't as caring and sweet as she was back then.
Superhero huffs, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes. She wanted Mastermind, she wanted her Supervillain back. She missed him so much.
A stray tear trails down her cheek.

Gangster'sWife / Pt. 2
Warnings: Language, Mature Themes, Violence, Spicy.
Part 3
..............
Hero hummed quietly, trying to distract her thoughts from Superhero's deadly mission. She let out a sigh as hot water washed over her, she closed her eyes in relaxation.
Fear ate at her, filling her entire being. Had Superhero gone crazy? She supposed he did. Many heroes did go crazy with all the attention on them and their awful mental health issues. It wouldn't be a far fetched idea that he had gone insane too.
The misson he gave her team was hard, no, it wasn't hard. It was impossible. Nobody had ever caught him.
He never got caught. He was clever, tactical, cunning, intelligent, smart, strong, alluring, charming, handsome, beautiful, funny, sweet....
Hero paused, she shook her head at her stupid thoughts as memories filled her. She sighs, closing the water and stepping out of the shower. She grabs a towel, walking out of the bathroom.
Her heart lurched.
She stared at the bouquet of black roses, and the letter attached to it, that wasn't there before.
Her eyes hurriedly scanned her apartment, wild and in a frenzy. She swallows hard, her grip on the towel tightening as she squirmed.
She shakes her head, walking over to quickly grab the card. Her eyes fill with confusion, seeing that it was the invitation to the heroes and villains gala. She frowns, she already had a invitation, why would someone give her another one?
She shakes her head, her eyes going to the black roses. She swallows hard, suspecting who this someone was. The gala was in a week, she hadn't thought that it was important because every year she went, it turned out to be boring.
Hero turns and flips the card, her lips parting when she sees the note at the back of the invite.
Hope to see you soon, Mi Amor. ♥︎
Hero clenches her jaw, tightening her fingers around the delicate but intricate paper. It wrinkled immediately, she scowls. She grunts, ripping it into pieces as her anger flared. She shakes her head, glaring hard at the torn up pieces of paper. She looks at the bouquet.
She swallows hard when she notices the thorns on them. She scowls, grabbing the stems of the flowers and heading towards her kitchen, throwing them in the trash. She sighs, putting her hands on her hips as her wet hair flung.
She needs to control her emotions.
..............
"Your being an idiot,"
"No, your being a idiot."
"No, your a fucking idiot. Why would he be there?"
"Because it's where the most crimes are."
"That's stupid. It's always been a high crime rate country, you buffoon."
"Atleast I'm actually trying to work!"
Hero sighs, watching as Teammate and Sidekick went back and forth in their argument.
Hero 2 only rolled her eyes, working on her laptop while Teammate 2 didn't seem to care.
Leader did care as he glared at the two. "Shut up, both of you. This is serious. Superhero gave us a mission, we need to fulfill it."
"Yeah, an impossible one." Teammate 2 snorts.
Leader turns his glare to her. "Enough with the snark. It's not impossible if we work hard and actually do something!" He snaps, annoyed.
"We are working hard!" Teammate 2 snaps all or a sudden, her eyes fiery. "We can't find him. It's fucking impossible. We can't even track him because we have no idea where he is or who he is."
Hero 2 nods. "And it's impossible because no one knows nothing about him. He literally lurks in the shadows, never revealing himself. What are we even supposed to track?"
Leader clenches his jaw, not caring whether they would work themselves to death. "We need to fucking find him somehow!" He growls.
Sidekick grunts. "I'm gonna take a break, I have a headache." He turns and walks out, muttering curses under his breath.
Hero spoke up. "Me too. I'm tired," she pulls all the files off her lap. "I'll be back in a moment." She gets off, ignoring Leader's glare on her back.
It was no secret he envied her. She had been working for centuries for their organization, being one of the best and most powerful heroes. But even if he was number 1, he always felt threatened by her. She may not look old, but her mind technically was.
She had years of experience.
Hero sighs, stepping out of the building. She takes a deep breath, smiling at the fresh air. She looks around the large vast area of the parking lot.
Looking around, she pulls out a pack of cigarettes. She lights one up, taking a slow drag. She had picked up the habit 2 months ago, needing a way to relax.
She found a way, a bad one, but still a way.
She closes her eyes, taking a long inhale before blowing out. She sighs, staring at it with a deep frown. She shouldn't have picked up the habit, but it's not like anyone would notice or care.
One person did, used too.
She shakes her head, taking another inhale. She hated this. Why did Superhero have to act all macho? It's not like anyone could catch him, it was freaking impossible.
Hero looks down, thinking everything over. Why did everything have to be so complicated. She stomps her cigarette on the floor with her shoe before heading inside, scowling.
When she had taken hee seat again, Sidekick had returned a few minutes later, fixing his clothes.
Teammate had glanced at him and roller her eyes.
Hero 2 had grabbed a board and had started drawing and writing on it with a marker while Teammate 2 watched.
Leader glanced up every once in a while as he typed on his laptop.
Hero sighs, continuing with her work.
It was a few minutes later when Leader shot up in his seat, his eyes wide. "Fuck!'
Hero 2 yelps. "What's wrong!" She turns to him, watching as he stared at his laptop.
Sidekick, Teammate, Hero 2 and Teammate 2 all hover around him. Hero frowns, but stands up to join him.
Her heart drops when she sees what it is.
"Someone sent an anyomous note, saying that Supervillain will be at the heroes and villains gala on Saturday." Leader spoke.
Hero 2 stared at the screen eagerly as Hero's heart dropped with fear and anticipation.
"Woah, it says they'll be planning to steal the documents that Mentor has." Teammate 2 frowns.
Sidekick smirks. "Well, atleast we finally got a clue."
"Pfft," Teammate scoffs. "We don't even know if it's real. What if someone is tricking us? What if they're lying?"
Hero 2 scoffs. "How could someone trick us? The laptop belongs to the industry, which has a very tight security wall. As if someone could hack us. This might be legit as someone clearly worked hard to send us this information."
"Yeah," Teammate 2 nods. "They might have even given their life for it. Any person who is even close to finding Supervillain, is found dead later on. He gets rid of them so easily."
Teammate frowns, but knows they have a point.
Hero stays silent, staring at the laptop. Was this true? How was this possible? Why? Why though?
"We neen to keep the documents and harddrive safe," Leader spkke sternly, his eyes narrowed.
"Agreed," Hero finally spoke up, nodding slowly.
"Me too," Hero 2 nods, Teammate 2 also nods.
Teammate rolls her eyes but nods. "Fine, fine. But if it's a scam....."
"Yeah, yeah." Sidekick scoffs. "I told you so and shit. So yeah, we need to keep them safe. We need to be prepared,"
Hero bites her lower lip.
"Good," Leader smiles, looking absolutely happy. "I'll go and inform and Superhero. He'll be so happy we finally found a lead."
Hero watched him as he left, feeling her heart start to sink.
"Oh, now we need to discuss what we'll wear." Hero 2 sqeals.
Sidekick only rolls his eyes.
..........
A few days went by, with that gala right around the corner.
Hero stayed silent as the team worked, analyzing everything and overthinking.
They debated how he would be there and how he came to be, seeing as the gala was invite only. But that shouldn't have been problem, seeing as who he was.
"But who sent it?" Teammate frowns.
"Probably someone now dead," Sidekick snorts.
Hero pursues her lips, looking down towards her laptop.
"Okay, everyone settle down." Leader called out, looking at his team. "We need to assign our positions."
"Oh, goody." Teammate 2 sighs.
"Alright," Hero says, putting her laptop down and turning her whole attention to him.
"Good." Leader nods. "Okay. So, we need lookouts, so Teammate and Teammate 2 will lookout for any suspicious activity."
The two nod obediently.
"Hero 2, you'll keep an eye of the documents, along with Sidekick."
Hero 2 frowns. "Seriously?"
"Do I have to work with her?" Sidekick scowls.
"Yes." Leader states sternly. "Both of you need to keep an eye on the documents. Stay near the office, take turns watching Superhero's office."
"Fine," Sidekick grumbled.
"Hero, you'll keep an eye on the hard-drive." Leader orders. "And I'll keep an update on you guys and keep Superhero informed, got it?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Yes, Leader."

Dandelions and Control Pt. 2
Warnings: Past Trauma, Past Sexual Abuse, Past emotional Abuse, Language, forced marriage.
Pt. 3
❀•°•═════ஓ๑♡๑ஓ═════•°•❀
"I wanna make a deal."
Hero looked up from where she standing, she was out in the balcony in her new room since the two newly wedded couple wouldn't and didn't want to share a room.
It was a fairly large, bigger than her room in her apartment, that was for sure. There was very large walk in closet which was empty, except for her clothes which only fit in a small portion in the whole closet.
The bathroom was also nice, there was a nice big tub, a jacuzzi, a elegant glass shower with a mirror and decent looking decorative things. The curtains were clear, showing the shower itself. There was also a bench in between the sinks and the small table and baskets for laundry and other accessories.
The bedroom itself was pretty amazing. The bed large enough for atleast five people, the pillows soft and fluffy, the sheets silver and black. The walls painted a light shade of gray with black lamps. The windows were fairy normal with black curtains, along with a small balcony.
Fair to say was that she would never run out of material things.
"What?" Hero asks in confusion, turning to him.
Supervillain slowly walks inside the dimly lot room, staring at Hero who stood right in the light of the moon. She looked beautiful. He shook these thoughts away and moved around the few boxes in the room that still weren't unpacked.
He then joins her on the balcony, staring at the dark night sky. The airspace was clear, except for the fact that it was lit with stars and a few clouds were floating above.
The moon was full, and it was a view Hero would not forget. She had never seen the moon in such a pretty position, considering, her bedroom was on the second floor of a mansion.
She turned to him, frowning. "What deal?" She questions, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Supervillain clears his throat. "I wanna make a deal with you, Hero." He turns to her, choosing his words carefully. "I know that this.....marriage.....is not what you want, me either for the fact but both of us are now married. The treaty will not change, nor will it stop it. It was futile,"
"Is there a point to all of this?" Hero asks, letting out a sigh. She twiddles with the jewelry on her hands and wrists, eager to have them off along withe the dress and heels.
Supervillain stares at her, glancing away and clenching his jaw. "Look, I know we don't have the best relationship but I do believe in marriage, and know I do not like cheaters nor do I like divorces." He states.
Hero looks away but still listens carefully. "I would never cheat, even if this marriage is against our will,"
Supervillain slowly nods. "Look, our marriage is just a show for everyone, we'll keep our end of the bargain... for a few months before we start attacking." He shrugs, leaning against the railing. "Not that the Heroes could stop us since your not there anymore, you were clearly the brains. They gave you away, their loss, our gain."
Hero cracks a small smile.
Supervillain smiles back at her, although it doesn’t reach his eyes. He looked tired, like he had aged a millions year up. He wasn't the same conceited, laid back, cold, full of amusement villain that she knew. He looked like a guy who had lost his freedom.
Still, Hero listened carefully.
"Our..." Supervillain starts, hesitatinly. "...relationship. It's not ideal with me being a villlain and you being a hero. But I don't want our relationship to be disastrous either,"
"Then what?" Hero asks, she then proceeded to take the gloves off since they were bothering her. The cold air felt nice against her bare arms, the gloves had been long and reached past her elbows.
"We should have a mutual respect for each other, in public and in...private." He trails off, shifting in his stance. "Although this may not be what we want, I want us not to hate each other. We will have respect for each other, but don't try to stop me from doing villain stuff, nor will I stop you from doing anything you want."
Hero stares at him before slowly nodding. "Trust me, I have no intention to stop you or the other villains, not anymore." She says bitterly, looking away.
Supervillain stares at her, surprised.
She glances at him. "Don't look at me like that, he abandoned me. I couldn't see it before, maybe because I was so blind, but Superhero was never trying to help me." She swallows hard, fisting her hands. "He left me. He betrayed me. You and your friends can do whatever you want," she looks away.
Supervillain frowns as he watches her. He didn't like Superhero, no scratch that, he hated his nemesis. But now seeing the fight leaving Hero's eyes, he felt pure hatred for Superhero.
Hero glances at him. "I won't stop you. What else?"
"You can have whatever you want," Supervillain tells her, looking out in the distance. "Nothing can put a dent in my bank account, so you can buy whatever you want. Do whatever you want,"
"I'm not a material girl." Hero mutters with a shrug. "But okay."
Supervillain bites his lip, letting out a sigh. "I can't promise you that you'll be happy here, but I will try to make you happy. And," he adds hesitatinly. "You will be protected here. I will always protect you,"
Hero frowns and looks at Supervillain.
He looked like he was remembering something. His eyes were cast in the distance, in a daze of some kind. It was like he was in a memory of some sort, remembering something.
She didn't say anything. Unlike other times, the silence between them was comfortable. Hero could distinctively remember when she and her team used to get captured by Supervillain, her team would do the talking with Supervillain.
She would usually say silent, but she could always feel his eyes on her. Always.
...............
"You know you'll never win," Leader smirks, he may have been handcuffed like his teammates and on his knees but that did nothing to conceal his arrogance.
Supervillain only stared at him, his eyes raised and cold amusement on his face. He leant back his desk in his office, staring at the team of Heroes.
Leader was in front of them, on his knees since he was the main hero. Other Hero, Other Hero 2, Youngest and Hero were in the background, stood behind their so called Leader.
Supervillain could see that Other Hero was glaring at him, her eyes narrowed with disgust. She was trying to discreetly break free but she couldn't, and she was doing a bad job at it.
Other Hero 2 was also trying to break free, in his gaze was arrogance. He kept looking back ans forth between him and Leader, his lips pursued.
Youngest looked scared, however she did well to hide it, a futile attempt since she was shaking with fear but it was honorable.
The only smart person on the team, from what Supervillain could gather, was Hero. She had stayed silent and had been observing everything silently, looking around and she wasn't trying to break free. A smart move on her part.
She didn't look scared, she instead looked annoyed, she looked absolutely done with her Leader. But for some reason, she had stayed silent and instead watched her Leader babble stupid stuff.
Supervillain was starting to like this Hero. Every time he saw her, she had stayed silent and was always observing everything. She was smart and intellectual. Something he could tolerate.
"And why pray tell, will that happen?" Supervillain asks, cocking his eyebrow.
Leader grins. "Because villains are always destined to lose. Our organization will come for us."
"Like hell they will," Supervillain heard Hero mutter under her breath. He raised his eyebrows, a smirk growing on his face.
He looks at Leader. "Hmm, you may be leader but your not the brains, no, your too stupid for that." He rolls his eyes.
Leader clenched his jaw, glaring at him.
Supervillain looks at Hero. "You however, unlike your incompetent team, look smart enough." He smirks. "Tell me, do you think you'll get out of here."
Hero blinks. No one ever talked to her, she was only ever a background hero. She hesitatinly glances at her leader.
"Why are you looking at him?" Supervillain asks. "I asked you the question. Not your dumb leader."
"Hey!" Leader protests. "I'm the team leader, not her!" He snaps, clenching his jaw.
Supervillain raised an eyebrow. "Really?" He mocks with a chuckle, he glances around tye room at his people. "Because here I thought the hero organization tasks the smartest people as the leader, not the dumbest. Look like I was wrong," he shakes his head. "Because to be honest, she looks like the smartest."
Laughter rang around the room.
"Sweetheart," Supervillain says turning to Hero. "You didn't answer my question." He raises an eyebrow at her, leaning back and crossing his arms.
"No, I don't." Hero answers.
"Hero, what the fuck?" Other Hero asks with a glare.
Hero ignores her. "We can't escape because at the front of your lair you have a two key system which can only be opened by your recna scan, your eye scan to be specific. And most, or well, all of your guards have a gun which is a MG3 Machine Gun, which can be dangerous." She nods to the guards.
"Your lair also has a set of traps, the staircase has a sensitive system which can determine if someone is running and can, therefore turn into a slide or trap them with a net." She explains.
Her team gawks at her.
"Each door in your lair has a lock with a pin, which we do not know. All the windows are probably, most likely, locked and even if they are unlocked, they will most likely hold a trap of some sort. Your guards also carry stabs which guess also have a lightning shock or taser in them which can be used to shock people. Your guards also know how to fight with a sword due to their marks, they have calluses on their hands, I have the same calluses. Your also too smug, which can mean you can fight each of us and defeat us easily. And this room, I'm betting, has a touch system too." She smiles. "Each hallway also has a camera, which can also help you to see us if we mayhe even escape, and that is a hard maybe."
Everyone stares at her, one of the guards shifts uncomfortably.
Henchmen stares at her, his lips parted, he looks around before looking at his boss.
Supervillain stares at her, his gaze cold before he smirks with amusement. He slowly brings his hands up and together and claps, an impressed look on his face.
Leader stares at her, his eyes wide with shock while Youngest stares at her with awe. Other Hero stays silent but she gulps. Other Hero 2 stares at Hero, his eyes wide.
"Was I right?" Hero asks, raising an eyebrow. She smiles at Supervillain, leaning back on her feet.
"I knew you were the brains. I knew you were smart but not at this point," Supervillain grins, he stands up and goes to stand in front of her, impressed. "And yes, you were right." He whispers.
Hero smiles.
He slowly raised his hand and caressed her cheek, looking into her eyes. "How would you feel to join me? I could certainly use you on my side." He asks, his tone gentle and soft, his eyes boring into hers.
Hero stares at him, her cheeks heating up but she composes herself.
"The fuck?" Other Hero asks, looking wise eyed. She looks at Hero with a glare.
"Hero...." Leader glares at her, why couldn't she have stayed silent?
"Tempting, but no." Hero backs away, narrowing her pretty eyes at him. "Never in my life."
Supervillain pouts. "I've never been rejected before, hmm, oh well." He shrugs. "Maybe next time," he winks. "I'll see you soon, Hero, along with your dumb team." He smirks.
"Hey, we're right here!" Other Hero 2 snaps.
"Oh," Supervillain breathes. "I know. See you next time, Hero." He smiles.
............
There meeting may have not been ideal but she had certainly caught his eyes, he had been impressed with her from the beginning. He had observed her.
Unlike other Heroes, she didn't judge villains based on what they did. She didn't care if they were a villain or not, she helped them no matter what. And she didn't do it for the glory.
Supervillain looks at her. "I'll leave you too it," he says before turning around and walking out of the room. The door closed behind him.
Hero sighs and looks back at the sky, her eyes flashing with contempt.
Would this be her life now? Living with the city's most dangerous and notorious Supervillain? Being married to him? Why would this even matter?
Would they even care? No, she supposed not. She didn't like him, not that much, but she tolerated him better than the other villains. He might have been dangerous and a killer, but she knew him.
Unlike other villains and supervillains, he had morals. No innocents or children involved. She knew that because she had seen it firsthand, she had kept an eye on him. He was somewhat....good.
That felt weird. Saying he was good.
Hero shakes her head, no, she supposed she wouldn't ever get used to it.
Being married to Supervillain, she guessed would be a nightmare. She swallows hard, she's always hated crying, she thought it made her weak.
Stop crying, it's weak.
Weak people, cry, Hero. Are you weak?
Stop. Crying!
She heard Superhero's voice in her head, along with the familar slash of the whip. She still had the bruises.
It was all her fault. The bruises were all her fault, every failure, every time she failed. Every time she was weak. Perhaps Superhero was right, she had to keep Supervillain happy so he didn't attack the city.
But nothing could stop the Villains. Would Superhero blame her? Would he hurt her again? Would he punish her?
But he couldn't. She would be protected here. But what about everywhere else? Was she still technically a Hero?
Why was all of this so confusing? She shakes her head and decides to sleep on it. After changing of course.
....
The next morning when she gets up and gets ready, she walks down the stairs to see in the living room, Henchmen on the sofa.
He looked busy with paperwork around on the table. She looks around, seeing that the mansion was empty. She spots a few maids cleaning and setting stuff up but no one else.
"Morning." Henchmen tells her with a smile, he grabs hid glass of what wither seemed to he bourbon or whiskey and took a sip.
"Morning." Hero answers tightly, she plays with the short white dress she had on. The sleeves were short and ruffled and the length was just aobe her knees, she wore matching white heels. "Where's Supervillain?" She asks, sitting across from him.
She sees a maid bring out a plate with a croissant and a chocolate chip muffin with a large cup of coffee. "Thank you," she smiles kindly at the maid.
The maid only nods fearfully.
Hero watches her go with a frown, she turns back to Henchmen.
"Supervillain was called on urgent business." Henchmen smiles at her awkwardly. "He left super early in the morning, he'll be back in a week."
"Oh."
"Yeah." Henchmen smiles. "Sorry about that.":
"Why be sorry? It's not like we like each other," Hero shrugs and picks up the muffin.
Henchmen slowly nods, however a frown grows on his face as he watches his boss' wife eat her breakfast. He knew that the two didn't really, well, like each other. I mean, they were enemies of course. On opposite sides.
But that wasn't the case anymore. No, it wasn't. Hero was married to Supervillain now. That meant she was on their side, on his side now. Probably.
That meant that they would have to get along. Henchmen wasn't thinking like romance and stuff, not yet anyway. Maybe get along like friends or something like partners, but they would have to get along.
He wondered what would happen in the future?
Only time could tell.
"What's your favorite flower?" Henchmen all of a sudden asks.
Hero raises an eyebrow.
"What?" Henchmen shrugs. "I'm saying if we're gonna be family and shit like that, we should get to know each other."
Hero stares at him for a few seconds. "Dandelions. I like Dandelions." She smiles. "White is my favorite color."
"Gray is mine,"
"Obviously." Hero snorts.
Henchmen laughs. Yeah, he has a feeling that wuth Hero here, things will be looking brighter already.

Don't Let Me Down ♔♕ pt. 4
Warnings: Past Trauma, Eventual Smut, Mature Themes, Violence, Language, Dark Themes Kinda, betrayal, cheating.
@talkingsperm @urmyhopeeee
..........
Supervillain stared at her.
She looked so peaceful, so innocent and kind. But he knew it was a lie, he had heard of her extraordinary powers. It was why his father had picked her.
This marriage was being forced on her as much as it was being forced on him. He didn't want to marry anyone, he was better off alone without someone to stop him. Much less a hero.
Plus, he didn't need some type of weakness.
He was in the comfort of his limo, the young hero laid on the other side of the seat. She was out of it, being injected with something that will knock someone out for 72 hours. The heroes were smart to create something like that.
They were heading to the airport so they can leave for Venezuela. His stepmother and people had probably all heard the news, along with the rest of the world. Amazing, he thought sarcastically.
He picked up his tablet where Hero's information was set up, he read through all of it.
It was impressive. She was impressive.
She was brought to the Organization when she was 3 by Superhero mysteriously. Her powers were like no other, on top of that, she could control people if she trained hard enough.
She had the potential to become the most powerful women in the world. And yet, the industry were probably holding her back.
He glanced towards her, noting her chestnut colored hair and pink lips. He narrows his eyes at her, he could tell she was also an innocent in this, seeing as she was forced to marry him. He wouldn't blame her.
But he wanted too, even though it wasn't her fault.
His father was an idiot. What good would this do? Nothing. The hero industry was stupid, really stupid and idiotic. The level of selfishness they had was beyond any villains selfishness. Atleast Villains actually did what they wanted too, the heroes only wanted fame, glory and money.
He looks up when he sees them approaching the airport. He puts the iPad down, looking at Hero.
.....
Hero blinks, feeling a headache coming on. A groan escapes, her hand going to her head. She slowly sits up, ignoring the stiffness of her back and neck.
"About time you woke up,"
Hero jumps, squealing. She turns towards the side to see......
Supervillain staring at her, his face emotionless.
She swallows hard, trembling slightly. This couldn't be possible, she couldn't be in front of history's most ruthless killer. The last thing she remembers is...being tranquilized by Superhero.
Supervillain tilts his head, watching as many emotions pass through the little hero's face. Confusion, pain, sadness, betrayal and fear.
Hero hesitatinly look at Supervillain, her hands shaking. "Where am I?" She asks, surprised that her voice didn't waver.
Supervillain walks away from the her. "You are on my private jet and we are on our way to Venezuela, in case your wondering, Superhero darted you." He tells her with a shrug.
Hero only stares at him.
Reality of everything set in. Superhero had really just given her away, like a mare. Like she was something to be bought over. Like an object or thing. He had given her to the villains.
All because she was the best, but she didn't think so. The only good thing about her was her powers, that's probably why he picked her. Why give her away? Because of her powers.
All because of her damn powers.
She should have run away.
Supervillain leans back against the side bar, his eyes still on her. "If your gonna run or try to stop this marriage, don't. I've already tried," he grumbles.
"Mastermind..." Hero trails off.
"He's still with Superhero and the others. He needs to clear a few things, maybe get another hero." Supervillain shrugs.
"Than why pick me?" Hero frowns.
"Why not pick you?" Supervillain raised an eyebrow. "I didn't pick you, my father and Superhero did."
Hero looks away, crossing her arms. She trembles, shivering. "Is there no way out of this?" She asks quietly.
"I'm afraid not," Supervillain rolls his eyes. "I tried to stop it, but they are hellbent on this marriage. Consent or not." He scowls, glaring out the window.
"Why would you agree?"
Supervillain scoffs. "You think I agreed to this? I didn't. Mastermind is making me do this, little Hero. I don't have a fucking choice in this," he scowls, glancing at her with his cold eyes.
Hero flinches.
"I've accepted this as a business proposal, nothing else. It's about time you probably do too." Supervillain says. "It there was a way to stop this, I would. However, the hard drive is really...valuable." He trails off.
"Your not gonna give them the real one." Hero realizes, "Your gonna give them a copy."
Supervillain turns to her, a smirk growing on his lips. "Superhero was right, you are intelligent. You must be the first hero I have met who isn't dumb and only out for glory."
Hero narrows her eyes at him, clenching her fists.
Supervillain eyes her, looking a bit impressed. "And your not scared unlike some people..." he hums. "Superhero also said you could think like a villain to catch the villains and criminals, I'm wondering if it's true or not."
Hero clenches her jaw.
"Because to be honest. I don't see it," He moves closer towards her. "I wonder, how did you figure it out?"
"I'm not stupid." Hero says, almost quietly. "When Mastermind first proposed the idea I had an inkling of what might happen. Your villains, your not loyal to anyone but yourselves. Plus, trading a hard drive that may just help you win this stupid war?" She raised an eyebrow. "You guys aren't stupid to give it away for one measly hero."
Supervillain stares at her.
Hero gets up, standing in front of him. Her eyes were like a raging fire as she glared at him. "I'm not marrying you, it's not gonna happen." She hissed.
Supervillain continues staring at her.
"Did you hear me?" Her angry eyes were lit like a forest fire, delving deeper in the woods to destroy everything. "This is not gonna happen."
Supervillain smirks.
"What? What are you so smug about?" Hero crosses her arms over her chest, glaring at him.
Supervillain moves closer towards her, causing her to falter slightly. "You must be the first person in the world, other then my father..." he hums, looking her up and down. "...to threaten me and look at me like that."
Hero pauses, breathing heavily.
He walks around her in a circle, humming and eyeing her like a predator does to his prey. "I kinda like it. You have fire," he states, stopping behind her.
He leans in to whisper in her ear. "I love fire." He states.
Hero swallows hard, digging her nails into her palms. She hates this, she hates this so much. "It's not happening," She grits out.
Supervillain snorts, walking away from her. "Yeah. Of course not." He rolls his eyes. "Sweetheart, we don't have a choice."
"But your Supervillain, can't you stoo this?" Hero frowns.
Supervillain shoots her a look, a ironic smile on his face. "I appreciate the fact that you think I'm powerful. But refusing my Father? Yeah, no thank you."
Hero frowns, hugging herself. She's never felt so alone then she has now.
"Besides. It's not we like each other, and it's not like we'll fall in love or something." Supervillain snorts. "We'll just stay out of each other's business. You'll be moving in my Villa for about 3 months and then we have to go back to the Hero Industry for the engagement and the wedding."
Hero lisens keenly, feeling numb. This wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to be with...with...Other Hero.
No.
He had cheated on her. With Vigilante of all people, she wasn't even that special! Sure, she had been competing with Hero for best heroic skills and beauty (Which Hero won, both of them) but that doesn't explain why he cheated on her.
She pauses. She remembers his earlier statements. Did he really mean all those hurtful words? Did he really just give her up so he cane number one? What would Sidekick? What would he do without her?
"Then you'll move in with me in my villa," Supervillain starts explaining. "We'll live there with the rest of my family. But don't worry, we won't have to see each other at all." He sighs. "You'll meet my stepmother seeing as you already met Mastermind. You'll meet my half siblings and my little sister."
Hero stays silent.
"Now, let me make one thing clear." Supervillain starts in a low tone. "This is only a marriage of inconvenience, and I'm sure you agree." He looks at her.
Hero nods once.
"Good. Because just like the deal, this marriage is not important." Supervillain scoffs. "And despite what Mastermind wants, it's not happening." He was choosing to not directly say something about the...grandchildren.
Hero agreed. No way, no how. It's not happening. It's never happening. She wanted to ask why he called Masterminds by his name but she wasn't that stupid.
This was still Supervillain. The most dangerous criminal in the world. She wasn't gonna take her chance.
"Now." Supervillain sighs, going to take a seat near the window. "Do you need anything?"
Hero shakes her head, opting to not use her voice.
"Alright. You might wanna sleep for a while." He tell her. "The flight will take a few more hours."
Hero nods silently.
Well, it seems as if her life was beginning to take form. And not in a good way.

Warnings: Language, mentions of mature Themes, a bit suggestive. Part 4 of Snippet 5.
...
She stayed silent.
She didn't say anything, she didn't need too.
So she didn't.
Hero stayed silent, sat amongst the large dining table at Supervillain's home, surrounded with villains, old and rookies alike. She was sat next to Supervillain, on his right since he was sat at the head.
His Right Hand was on his left, which was different since he always sat on his right but now Hero was. It made sense now, why Right Hand kept glaring at her, her gaze was kinda deadly and full of....jealousy??
Hero didn't know, she didn't care. She was still in her suit and mask, and would remain doing so up until everyone left.
The whole meeting was quite boring, with almost everyone giving suggestions to Supervillain while he stayed silent and nodded. He kept glancing at his apparent wife but she did not say or do anything.
Hero stayed silent, ignoring the stares and heated glares of everyone.
The meeting didn't last long. Pretty soon, everyone was walking out and leaving Supervillain and Hero alone.
As soon as the door closed, Hero took off her mask. It was a bit of a relief, to not hide away in front of a group of people for a long time. She was almost thankful for Supervillain, but she would never tell him that.
Supervillain turned to see Hero take off her mask and reveal a beautiful face with nude makeup and glossy lips.
Hero breathes out, eyeing the door with her pretty eyes warily. She turned back to see Supervillain staring at her, leaning his arm against the table. His gaze was unwavering.
She shifts in her seat, nerved by his gaze. But she ignores it. "Was that meeting necessary?"
"Yes."
Hero nods, still ignoring his staring. "They already know everything, why call a meeting? Did they want to see you married to a Hero? Proof of it?"
"Yes."
Hero frowns. "That's stupid." She scrunchs her nose up adorably.
Supervillain's lips twitch, almost as if he was suppressing a smile.
Hero sighs. She glances at her husband, frowning at him. "What?"
"What 'what'?"
Hero narrows her eyes when she detects a hint of amusement in her tone. She scowls. "Stop staring,"
Supervillain smirks. "Why? Does it bother you?" He moves closer. "I'm allowed to stare at you, your my wife now."
Hero swallows hard.
Supervillain stares right at her. "Just as your allowed to stare at me," his face moves closer towards her.
Something tells her to move away but Hero stays silent, swallowing hard when she feels this noses bump into each other slightly. She meets his gaze, their faces close and their lips a meter away.
Supervillain moves closer, his lips parting.
The door slams open.
Hero jumps away, frightened and embarrassed. Was she really about to kiss him? No, absolutely not. She could have not.
They may have been married but that did mean they were gonna make out or anything. Her heart beats faster, was she really about to kiss Supervillain? No, absolutely not. She could have not.
No, he was a villain while she was a hero. The two were on opposite sides, they were supposed to hate each other. There was no way that the two were about to kiss each other.
Supervillain clenched his jaw, slowly turning to look at the person who had rudely interrupted them. His eyes narrowed on Henchmen, who shifted under his boss's dark gaze.
He smiles weakly, nervously glancing at Hero. "Um, hey, boss? The uh, th-the Villain wants to talk to you." He swallows hard.
Supervillain glances at his wife.
Hero moves away, clearing her throat. She gets up and puts her mask up, turning to leave towards their bedroom.
Supervillain watches her go with a clenched jaw, he glares hard at Henchmen. "Get on with it!" He snaps, standing up and storming towards the door.
Henchmen flinched as he passed by him.
...........
Hero closes her eyes as the warm water rushes down her body, she breathes out in the foggy bathroom full of steam.
She can't believe she had almost kissed Supervillain. What was wrong with her? He was her enemy.
Wrong.
He was her husband.
No, it was a stupid marriage of inconvenience that he forced upon the hero company so he could have one of theirs to control.
And coincidentally, Hero was picked by her boss and Supervillain. She didn't know why, they were lifelong enemies. She didn't understand him one bit.
Maybe this marriage doesn't have to chained down, maybe it could something more.
It doesn't have to be so loveless.

Dandelions and Control Pt. 4
Warning: Mature Themes, Language
..............................................................................................
"Right Hand, I don't know about this."
"Oh, shush."
Hero stares at herself in the mirror, eyeing the sheer dress she wore. It was dark like the night, a villain's color. It was long and pinched at her waist and chest slightly. The only problem was that it hugged her curves and was backless, not to mention the front of the dress hung low. It wasn't scandalous in any means, but it wasn't a prude dress either.
It looked villainy if she was being honest. And she kinda did look hot.
Right Hand smirks, she herself was wearing a blood dress that was body tight and short. The sleeves and chest area were lace, the heels also sharp and red. She looked like a villain completely, especially with her dark eyes and her lips painted red.
Hero also had a type of makeup on, but it was more neutral then dark. Right Hand said that nude and baby colors like peach, pink and nude suited her for her body type. But black was also clearly her color, she looked so...alluring.
"Supervillain will want to eat you," Right Hand grinned.
Hero rolls her eyes. She had gotten used to the inappropriate jokes that Right Hand made of her and her husband, she chose to ignore it. It was only a marriage of inconvenience.
Nothing less.
Nothing more.
"Yeah, yeah." Hero rolls her eyes, she frowns as she stares at herself in the mirror. When she was at the industry, they were never really allowed to have nice things.
It was part of being a...hero.
"Alright, what's taking to long?" Supervillain's voice is heard as the door opens. "We have to fucking leave in-"
Hero pauses.
She slowly looks up to see Supervillain behind her through the mirror, he had froze and was now staring at her with unblinking eyes.
Right Hand smirks. She turns to her boss. "Hey, boss. What do you think?" She asks slyly.
Supervillain slowly enters, swallowing hard as he stared at Hero.
Hero breathes out, slowly turning around. "So..." she starts hesitatinly. "What do you think?" She smiles.
Supervillain only stares silent, swallowing hard. He comes back to his senses when he shakes his head, clearing his throat. "Uh, yeah. You look, you look great."
Right Hand facepalms, shaking her head. "Why do I even try?" She mutters.
"Oh, okay." Hero nods, feeling a little disappointed.
Supervillain nods. "Let-Let's get going," he nods.
Right Hand nods.
Hero sighs.
..........
Supervillain and Hero sat in their limo.
Right Hand and Henchmen were in the other limo with all their 'bodyguards,' though Supervillain insisted they were only there for security or something.
Hero couldn't stop bouncing her leg nervously, fiddling with her hands on her lap, worry in her beautiful eyes. She stared out the window with a prominent frown. The gold clutch around her wrist was pretty, it was a birthday present from Supervillain last year.
Wow, year. What a strange world. She's seeing her old colleagues and old 'friends' after such a long time.
She may have been an Hero, but she knew that they always looked down on her. They thought that she might as well clean up all the villains while they took the credit. Looking back, she remembers all the emotional manipulation they used, all the times where they made her seem weak. She was, in a way, glad she was free of them.
Supervillain glanced at her, he looked so calm and collected. How did he do it? Look so calm, but also slightly scary.
He was.
She knew the truth. He was a terrifying person, a downright wicked man with cruel intentions. He could kill a person and not bat an eye. He would torture a person, mentally manipulate them. He would use them for his own gain, but he had honor. He might have been a villain but he has morals.
The limousine stops.
Hero's heart drops.
Supervillain looks at her. "Calm down." His voice was oddly comforting. "Stay with me and if anyone disrespects you," He smirks. "Don't let them walk over you."
Hero stares at him, a small smile growing on her face. She nods.
....
Hero kept her head up but her eyes down, her hand was around Supervillain's arm. Her dress swished behind her, her aura showing her power.
She looked bewitching.
"Head up, eyes up, darling." Supervillain whispers into her ear, looking around with a small smirk.
Hero looks at him, she swallows hard and looks up. Her eyes trailed across the room, seeing as all the attention was mostly on them. She could see her old colleagues, most of them pointing at her and whispering to each other.
Hero kept her face normal, cold but also bored. Her icy stare brought down everyone, she looks around. Her heart drop as she spots Sidekick, and Vigilante...staring at her, talking quietly.
She quickly looks away, her grip on Supervillain's arm tightening. She swallows the fear, betrayal and rage down.
I can't believe we're finally alone
I can't believe I almost went home
What are the chances?
Everyone's dancing
And he's not with you
Supervillain glances at her. "You okay? You seem...tense." He looks around, spotting a few old and new heroes staring at them. He could also see a few newbie villains. He looks at her. "Ignore them. They're all the scum of the earth."
The universe must have divined this
What am I gonna do?
Not grab your wrist?
She laughs, shaking her head as she smiles. "That's funny, was I the scum of the earth too?" She raised an eyebrow, ignoring the heated stares of her old team and Superhero.
Supervillain smirks.
I could do the shit that he never did
Up all night, I won't quit
Thinking I'm gonna steal you from him
I could be such a gentleman
Plus all my clothes would fit
I could be a better boyfriend
He leans in, causing her breath to hitch. "Quite the opposite my dear wife." He pulls away, staring at her. She stares at him, noting how he looked quite good in the tuxedo he wore.
I don't need to tell you twice
All the ways he can't suffice
If I could give you some advice
I would leave with me tonight
"They're staring," Hero swallows hard. She keeps her eyes on her husband.
Supervillain tilts his head. "They always stare. They're always gonna stare. You know why? Because you look absolutely dazzling." He smiles, his eyes trailing up and down her body, smiling at the dress. He looks back up at her face.
Hero frowns in slight confusion.
Supervillain chuckles. "Darling, your the life of the party. The most gorgeous, if I do say so myself." He hums. "Your a Hero, a old legendary hero that has made her legendary comeback as a villain, no less mine, Supervillain's wife."
Hero breathes out.
"And of course, an amazing hero who actually has done stuff for the city and earth." Supervillain adds.
Hero looks at him.
The universe must have divined this, mmm, mmm
Ladies first, baby, I insist
I could be a better boyfriend than him
I could do the shit that he never did
Up all night, I won't quit
Supervillain smirks.
Hero looks away, her gaze met Sidekick's who was staring at her. She quickly turns away, clenching her hands together.
Supervillain grabs her hands and uncurls her fingers to reveal almost bloody half moon crescents. He frowns. "I told you to stop doing that," he scolds, padding his thumb over her bruises.
Hero winced. "Sorry, out of habit." She sighs, glancing towards someone. "I wanna break Vigilante's face, she looks so smug."
Supervillain smirks. "Then why don't we give them a good scare?
Thinking I'm gonna steal you from him
I could be such a gentleman
Plus all my clothes would fit
Hero blinks.
Supervillain wraps his arm around her, causing her face to turn red, but he ignores it and pulls her along with him towards Vigilante and Sidekick.
Hero takes deep breathes as they get closer, trying to reign herself in. It's been a long time since she's seen Sidekick. The last time she saw him, was atleast a day before the wedding. And at the reception, after the wedding, he hadn't spoken a word to her. He hadn't even glanced at her, busy talking with Mentor and Superhero.
Now she knew why. He had asked a for a promotion, or a possiblely better partner. And he got one.
Vigilante wore a beautiful silver sequin dress, absolutely gorgeous looking that trailed behind her. The neckline was low and showed her cleavage, her shoes were silver heels. Her hair was in a elegant updo, and she looked beautiful.
Sidekick turns to them, clearing his throat as they arrived. Vigilante turned towards them, her eyes flashing with fear as she glanced at the king of the criminal world.
Supervillain smirks. "Ahh, you must me Sidekick. I've heard quite a bit from you from My Hero."
Hero blinks, still in his arms. My Hero?
Sidekick clears his throat, he glances at Hero. The dress really did look good in her, really good. "I, uh, thank you." He smiles nervously.
Supervillain chuckles. "I like you. That certainly wasn't a compliment but you took it as one." He smirks, his hand rubbing Hero's hip.
Hero swallows hard, her cheeks turn red as she eyed Supervillain. What was he doing?
Sidekick looks at Vigilante who looks away, sipping on her cocktail. "Well, I-" He pauses, looking at Hero. "It has been a long time, Hero. It's very nice to meet you again." A small smile grows on his face.
Hero stares at him, glancing at Vigilante who was looking her up and down enviously. Did Sidekick really wanna do this now? He had left her. He had abandoned her. He had done nothing to help her. Sure, she was in a better place now but she would never forget the betrayal.
Hero swallows hard. "It is, isn't it?" She gave him a fake smile.
Sidekick clears his throat. "Um, you look nice. You look more mature. I like your dress...it's very..." He paused, eyeing her up and down warily, looking almost surprised she would wear a dress like that. ".... pretty."
Supervillain snorts quietly.
"Thank you," Hero nods. "Vigilante, your dress is also nice."
Vigilante gave her a fake smile. "Thanks. Yours too. I absolutely love the color and theme."
Hero strains a fake smile on her face, her grip on Supervillain tightened. He glanced at her but said nothing.
All Hero wanted to do was leave here, she never wanted to come back ever again. She could feel the tension, the resentment, the hate they all had for her and all the villainous people.
It wasn't fair.
Not when they had sold her to the villains. Not when they had forced her to marry Supervillain. They had given her away.
Why should they believe they were the victims, when they clearly weren't.
Superviillain hums. "Well, this is nice. Old friends getting together," He pauses, raising an eyebrow. "You are friends, after all? Right?"
Sidekick clears his throat. "Of course,"
Vigilante slowly nods. "Yes." She stares at him fearfully.
Hero hesitates.
Sidekick notices, a trickle of guilt is shown in his eyes as he stared at her.
But Hero doesn't notice, no, she does notice. She's set on ignoring him and ignoring everyone tonight. She looks at her husband. "Can we get something to eat now, I'm hungry." She gave him a small smile.
Supervillain smirked. "Of course," he purred, leading her away.
Sidekick frowns as he looked in between them, watching them away.
Vigilante bites her lip. "They look close, don't they?" She questions, tilting her head.
Sidekick scowls. "Yeah, they do...." He eyes the way Supervillain had his arm wrapped around Hero and the way she was leaning into him.
.....
Sorry of the very late update!

Dandelions and Control Pt. 3
Warnings: Past Trauma, Past Emotional abuse, Past sexual abuse, Language.
......
2 years later ....
They thought it would go on forever.
Hero really thought that Supervillain would avoid her at any cost. That the going on special missions was gonna go on forever.
It didn't.
Supervillain did avoid her, he left for weeks and sometimes months. He went out of special business trips, coming back either with bruises and cuts, or nearly fatal injuries. Sometimes he would come home with bloodied hands.
Hero didn't ask.
She didn't need too. She knew what he did, he was a supervillain after all. A killer. A murder. And anything else that came to mind.
And true to his word, he treated her with respect, in front of everyone and in private. The two may not have spent much time together as a married couple but when they did, they did respect each other. Supervillain also defended her in front of the still skeptical villains, which was nice on his part.
Supervillain was also rich. Very rich. He had also given her one or well, many of his bank cards. Which may have had millions of thousands of dollars. So, yeah, it wasn't uncomfortable in any way in the first months of their marriage.
Hero had nothing else to do, so she just bought things and decorated the house since, well....it was a bit plain. The mansion was nice and all, but it was empty and had no color or life. She she thought to redesign some of it's parts.
And she did.
And somewhere along the way, she had also, somewhat, befriended her nemesis. Villain was cold towards her, annoyed and irritated at her presence in his boss' home.
But the two had held a agreement and since Hero wasn't considered a hero anymore, they put aside their differences and became....friends? They were getting there.
But after Hero's marriage to Supervillain, it felt like her side on her Hero life had fallen apart.
It started about a week after her wedding.
Hero stares at the newspaper, her heart heavy in her hands she clenched the paper between her fists.
Henchmen leant against the marble kitchen counter, frowning at her expression. He took a sip of his herbal tea.
Hero stared at the picture. On top of the headline, it read; Vigilante and Sidekick. The new duo!
Sidekick had replaced her. He had replaced her with Vigilante, she wasn't even better than her! Vigilante wasn't that good of a fighter. But Sidekick had quickly replaced her, did their friendship mean nothing to him?
The two used to be the best of friends. The two were their by each other's side. They fought together, they kicked ass together. Hero was Sidekick's best friend. Whenever he was down, Hero always made him laugh, same with him.
Hero used to get tired and depressed easily, Sidekick used to cheer her up. He helped her, but when the marriage deal had come up between the heroes and villains, he had stayed silent.
He had stayed silent. He didn't say anything to defend her, to defend her freedom or honor. He only stayed silent. Now she why, Hero read the paragraphs, the sentences. They felt like a knife through her heart, like the knife kept twisting in her chest.
Sidekick was saying that Vigilante was the best partner and hero he had ever seen. A best friend he was so glad to have, a better partner.
Why did this betrayal hurt so much? Why should she care?
"You...okay?" Henchmen clears his throat, he stares at her. He looks towards the entrance as Supervillain walks in, a calm look on his face.
"Hero, you okay?" Henchmen repeated.
Supervillain looks up from where he was grabbing a water bottle from the fridge, he was thirsty from all the exercise he had did. He turns to see Hero staring at the newspaper, her face blank.
Hero doesn't hear him. She stares at the picture of Vigilante and Sidekick together, posing, laughing together. Sidekick didn't even look like he was missing her.
Hero fists the newspaper angrily, her eyes watering with tears but she blinks them away. Clenching her jaw, she throws the paper on the counter before storming out.
"What happened?" Supervillain asks, raising an eyebrow. He moves towards the counter and grabs the paper, he stares at the headline, a frown growing on his face.
Henchmen sighed. "Nothing good. I'll go talk to to her," he sighs.
Supervillain blinks, watching as Henchmen went to talk to Hero. A frown grows on his face, he looks at the newspaper before shaking his head and walking out.
That was nearly two years ago.
Hero had grown to understand and tolerate the hero organization. It hurt her, the betrayal but not anymore. She only felt numb or indifference, it felt nothing to her anymore because they were nothing to her anymore. Her and Villain had also grown closer over the months that followed, she now helped him take down heroes and other villains.
The hero organization were shocked to say the least, they were idiots if they thought the Villains would keep their end of the bargain. Hero and Supervillain became a duo of some sort, like business partners, friends. They were still married but they didn't act like a couple.
Over the months of her marriage, Hero began to like the relaxing job of not doing anything. When she worked for Superhero, they trained non stop and were punished accordingly. And when a hero got sick or tired, they were still expected to train and work.
With Supervillain, she could be partly happy. She didn't need to lift a finger. And over a span of...what, a year, Supervillain's empire began to grow due to the information that Hero provided. Normally, Hero was a loyal hero but ever since finding out what really happened and how the hero organization was corrupt, she chose over self preservation. She was taught only to care about other people, not herself.
Supervillain told her to, explained it, that she needs to atleast be a little selfish and even if she wasn't, she needs to take care of herself.
So she started on that.
After, many villains started to attack the city from multiple sides about a month into their marriage, Hero got a call from Superhero. He wasn't happy.
Hero clenched her jaw, her hand shaking as she held the phone to her ear. The yelling of her being incompetent and stupid is what started the tears. The beating of her heart was so loud that she was sure Superhero could hear it, her hands felt clammy as she heard his harsh words.
"Can you ever do something right? Because of you, millions of people will die!"
Hero clenched her eyes close, shaking. She swallows hard and tries to say something but nothing could come out, she was too scared of him.
He had punished her so many times that a few of the scars still hadn't healed from her back. She had a few on her legs and thighs, a few on her hips too. Superhero left no skin untouched, well, no skin that would be shown to the people.
She never gave much thought to it. But for the past few days she's been here, she had noticed how well the Villains took care of each other, worked together and didn't judge each other.
It wasn't like that at the hero organization, Hero couldn't count all the times that Leader and Other Hero had teased her and made fun of her, saying how she was incompetent and stupid. It wasn't like that here, and she was glad.
Hero opened her mouth but the words died on her lips when Superhero began to curse at her again. She clenched her jaw, digging her nails into her palms, drawing blood.
"Sup-" She stutters. "Superhero-"
"What is wrong with you? You did something, didn't you? You did something that made Supervillain angry, didn't you? You broke the treaty!"
"Stop." She tries to say, her voice weak. "I didn't do anything-"
"Enough! When I get my hands on you!-"
The phone was snatched out of her hands. Hero didn't even notice the tears sliding down her cheeks until the phone was out of her hand, she turned to see an irritated Supervillain.
She blinks, hastily wiping her tears with the sleeve of her white cashmere sweater. She sniffles, swallowing the sob threatening to slip out.
"Superhero, this is Supervillain here. Now, if your wondering why it's broken, your stupid." He states, his face stoic. "Your an idiot if you ever thought we would keep our end of the deal. And you gave away the only person who was actually smart and logical. Now your just a bunch of dummies," He shrugs. "Oh, well. Your loss, our gain. Now, if you ever call and threaten my wife again, I will personally kidnap you and cut your fucking dick off." He smirks before hanging up.
Hero stares at him.
Supervillain holds the phone out to her. "I did tell you that I would protect you, didn't I? Now, wipe those tears away, I'm not entirely fond of you when you cry." He smiles.
Hero sniffles and takes the phone back. She gives Supervillain a shaky smile, clenching the phone in her hands.
It was one of the first times that he had defended her against someone she had partly feared.
Superhero didn't listen. He did call, many times, but Hero didn't pick up. She blocked his number. She wasn't a part of the hero organization anymore, she was married to Supervillain now.
She didn't need to be a a hero working for a corrupt organization. It was better this way, and she in a way trusted Supervillain. If he didn't hurt any innocent people, she was fine with it. She didn't care anymore.
She'd rather die then remember the times she had suffered at times in Superhero's arms. He had told her it was because she had failed and that failing had consequences. Her failure had a mark, a bruise, a whip, blood and scars. Her insubordination did too, her losing against villains, it all had consequences. Superhero told her that it was to make her hard and strong.
But she wondered if the other heroes also experienced it. She didn't notice any scars on their backs, and unlike them, she wore covered clothes to cover her scars. They didn't. But she wouldn't assume that they didn't, why would Superhero single her out?
It's been two years into her marriage and while they weren't a couple, her and Supervillain got along now, like friends.
She helped him with his now, big 'criminal empire.' Even though she had been against the whole thing since she was a hero, Hero had changed her mind and was now a valid person in his eyes. Now, he only talked business with her since apparently, she was good at it, better than his people who were 'incompetent.'
It was the better part of a year and a half.
The first six months of their marriage was rocky, it was almost nonexistent. They avoided each other, they didn't talk to each other and when they did, they just either glared at each other or there would be an awkward tension around them. It was even awkward for Henchmen and Villains to be around them.
But now they were just amused.
"Morning!" Villain rings out as he walks inside the kitchen of the mansion he had just entered. He passes a few maids who swooned, he doesn't notice and enters the kitchen. He immediately spots Hero cooking. He rolls his eyes.
Hero glanced at him. "Hey, Villain. Your back from Egypt already?" She smiles, she then turns around. She wore a white silk dress that was just above her knees with white heels with a flower design on them, her hair was open and healthy.
Marrying Supervillain had many perks, as much as she didn't want to admit it. She got to go to Spas and salons and she could shop all she wanted, but she never wasted his money, even though Supervillain has said so that it was okay and that money was something that wasn't really important to him. He didn't even run out of it. It was like his bank account had no limitations.
Villain raised an eyebrow, smelling the air. His eyes brighten when he realizes what's she making. "Are you making your caramel sauce?" He asks eagerly, wetting his lips.
"Uh huh " Hero grins, nodding.
Villain smiles happily before it falls, he narrows his eyes, leaning against the counter. "So...where is your so called lazy husband?" He questions.
Hero rolls her eyes. "In his office with Henchmen. He's probably torturing someone. They caught someone sneaking on the property," she frowns and looks closer in the pot.
Villain hums with a nod. "Why don't you go see him?" He smirks, putting a hand on his chin as he leant on the counter top.
Hero ignores him. She continues to stir the sauce before lowering the flame. "Well, your suggestion has been accepted. I need him to sign these anyway," she goes to grab a few documents into her hands from the counter before turning to leave.
Villain watches her go. "For what!" He yells.
"Nothing important!"
Villain huffs. "Nothing important my ass," he huffs before turning his eyes to the stove. He takes a deep whiff of the concoction, he sighs dreamily. "Oh, yeah." He mumbles.
Hero turns the hallway and enters the main room, she then turns towards the stairs and steps up. She walks down a few hallways before opening the door to the office.
A dark and deadly tone is heard, angry. "Damn it! What did I say about being interrupted-" Supervillain pauses when he sees who it is. "Oh, sorry." His eyes soften, in a very small way.
Hero shifts. "Sorry, I need you to sign something." She holds the paper up, meekly glancing Henchmen.
Henchmen quicks moves away from the hero tied to the chair. The hero slowly looks up, his gaze steely and cold, he looked new but also young. His eyes snap towards Hero with wide eyes, recognizing her immediately, his eyes follow her as she walks to her husband.
She holds the paper out for him along with a pen, Supervillain takes it with a gentle touch, their hands brushing each other. Hero tries to control the blush on her cheeks.
He signs the paper with a confused look. "What is this for?" He asks, his tone of voice still stern, no doubt for the hero behind them.
Hero rolls her eyes. "Right Hand threw a party last month. He ordered about 10,000 shrimps and they needed an extra tax to add to that."
Supervillain sighs in annoyance.
Henchmen nods. "Yeah, Right Hand can be quite extra." He says with a chuckle leaving him.
Hero shot him a look. "Like you aren't,"
Henchmen laughs sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders.
Hero rolls her eyes, she then turns around to the rookie hero, frowning at him. She eyes the way he was looking at her, with shock and disbelief. Maybe also with disappointment?
Yeah, then he probably was new. He hadn't experienced the sacrificial things you had to do, the things you had to sacrifice. The punishments you got. He was definitely level one.
And yet, here he was, with Supervillain of all people.
Hero looks at her husband, who nods for her to go out, not wanting her to see the torture he might do. She nods before quickly grabbing the documents and walking out.
Supervillain turns his eyes to the rookie. "Hmm," he raises an eyebrow. "You honestly thought you could break in my home?" He chuckled, his eyes darkening.
Rookie swallows the fear down, he puffs his chest out.
When he had joined the Industry nearly a year ago with his best friends, he had heard about the legendary Hero. In fact, he and the others used to admire her and love her.
The way she fought, the way she was so kind, the way she put all the criminals behind bars, the way she stopped all the villains. She stopped bad guys so graciously, she was so pretty and beautiful. So graceful and loyal.
But she disappeared, gone two years ago. No one heard of her and she became old news. No one cared about her because of the new stronger heroes popping up.
But Rookie and his friends still missed her so after finishing school, they decided to enter the hero organization. They highly thought that maybe Hero retired, it was a rare possibility.
So they forgot about her, but when Rookie himself wanted to stop the biggest and baddest villain, he was captured. That's when he saw her, his hero who he had admired, married to Supervillain of all people.
Hero was married to Supervillain.
How was that even possible? It couldn't have been true, but the way Henchmen was looking at them and the way they were staring at each other, they looked disgustingly in love.
It was sickening.
Rookie felt angry, sick even. How could she fall for a low life villain? Supervillain of all people? Why would she do that?
Rookie glares at Supervillain, who only looks amused.
"Let's begin, shall we? Henchmen, get the blow torch."
Henchmen nods. "Yes, boss." He says in a eager and excited tone.
....
Hero stares up at the ceiling, up and really high of the mansion. The coach she was laid out on was really comfortable, especially since she was in front of the fireplace.
She only wore her pajamas. Which consisted of a button up shirt and some shorts. They had a cupcake print on them, and speaking of cupcakes, she really wanted some right now.
She humms and leans up, closing her eyes.
"You know, most people make that noise in the bedroom."
Hero's eyes snapped open, she turns her annoyed glare towards Supervillain who was staring at her with amusement.
Hero notices a speck of blood on the collar of his shirt. "I really hope you haven't traumatized that poor new hero, he looks young." She frowns, sitting up.
Supervillain rolls his eyes. "I didn't. I only burned his eyebrows off,"
Hero gives him a deadpan look.
Supervillain shrugs, moving to sit next to her on the sofa. "It wasn't that bad. I only then cut his arms with nicks and slices, he'll heal." He scoffs. "It's not like I cut his arms off, or even his fingers."
Hero makes a noise of disagreement. She then turns and moves her head so it's on his lap, she closes her eyes peacefully.
Supervillain raises an eyebrow but does not object, he's used to these small moments they have. Really short, and really small moments.
"Yeah, well you would have even beheaded him, given the chance." Hero tells him with her eyes still closed.
Supervillain nods his head, staring at her face. He humms, guiding his hands through her soft hair. It had become healthier, longer and softer over the months that followed their marriage.
Seeing as Hero didn't care about herself she never took good care of her hair or her body. Now, she seemed happy, mentally. Or maybe it was just to him.
He looked at her. He blinked in surprise to see her already staring at him, her gaze intense slightly. It was like she was in a daze or something as she stared at him.
"Is he still locked up?" She spoke up after a few moments.
Supervillain stares at her. He pauses, licking his lips and pulling his hand away from her head. "Yeah, he is. Turns out, he's one of your biggest fans."
Hero furrows her eyebrows, she sits up. "What?" She frowns, goosebumps growing on her bare legs.
Supervillain hums, turnings his gaze away from her and to the fireplace. "Got a lot of info out of him. He and his friends were big fans of yours, a reason why they joined that pathetic industry." He spat with disgust.
Hero pursues her lips, looking away with her stomach twisting and turning. She missed sidekick, she really, really missed him.
But then she remembered, how he had quickly replaced her with stupid Vigilante. She wasn't even that better, and based on the rumors going now, they apparently had something going on.
Sides has always been a topper kind of guy, always wanting people who could top him and who were powerful. But she didn't realize that not until she was given to the villains.
A prize she was called.
A bargaining chip she was called.
A deal.
A way to make peace.
A way to help the people.
No, the people weren't helped and there certainly was no peace. Sure, most of the crime had stopped for a few months but after that, it grew larger than ever.
Maybe because the 'legendary' hero wasn't there to clean up the mess. Maybe because Supervillain never really had the urge to stop her, he's always been quite different from her.
But Superhero....
She remembers that stupid call he made two years ago. It was long forgotten but it was always in the back of her mind, just...there. After Supervillain threatened him, he didn't really call. However, after that threat had apparently cleared up and the crime rate grew, he called numerous times.
But Supervillain had already admitted the crime wasn't so they could actually hurt people or grow his apparent 'Empire,' it was too actually to toy and play with the villains. They would have to work 24/7, tired and exhausted. A funny thing to them.
Hero should not have been amused, but she had been. Sure, she partially disagreed of using innocent human life but then she remembered that the same humans she used to save now hated her.
The agency never cleared it up whether it wad a deal or whether she ran away. So she wasn't loved anymore, wow, the nerve of people switching opinions so fast.
"Why was he here?"
Supervillain turns to look at her, noticing how the fireplace reflected her face. He smiled, his hand twitching to touch her face. "Apparently he wanted to stop thr big bad villain," he rolls his eyes and stands up. "Not happening today. He was a stupid rookie, who broke onto my property."
Hero noticed the way his voice had turned darker and harsher, she fists her hands. She knew he would never hurt her, intentionally. But she always got that threatening look from him, like he could kill everyone on the planet and not care about it.
Supervillain chuckles darkly. "The industry will be quite happy when I return them to him,"
"Supervillain, I really hope you didn't-"
"Don't worry. I didn't hurt him...too much." He stares at her. "There's a gala coming up, with all the villains ans heroes."
Hero stiffens.
Supervillain let's out a sigh before he crouched down before her, grabbing her hands. "I'm not gonna force you to go, but this could be a opportunity to show others how fare you've come."
Hero glances at thier joined hands. "I guess." She nods, biting her bottom lip nervously. She was happy here. Truly. She was happy with Supervillain more than ever. "Okay, let's do it."
Supervillain smirks.

Part 4
..........
Hero kept on turning and tossing all night, mumbling incoherently in agony because of her nightmares. But also because she wasn't comfortable in this bed with her worst enemy.
She turns, whimpering a whisper..
Supervillain blinks, opening his eyes in annoyance before realizing it was her making the sounds. He frowns in confusion, sitting up slightly.
Hero whimpers, mumbling under her breath as she turned her back to him. She groans and hugs herself.
Supervillain stares at her for a few seconds. He remembered what she had said, he didn't forget. It just made him pity her more, he didn't fully hate her but he didn't fully like her either.
But he wouldn't hurt her, not atleast, intentionally.
He hesitatinly lays down behind her turning to her and wrapping an arm around her waist. He feels her relax immediately, her breathes coming out even as she slept.
Supervillain smiles and finally relaxes, allowing him to sleep with the Hero in his arms.
.....
Hero stirs the next morning. She pauses.
Someone was holding her.
She instantly freezes and slowly turns to face the intruder, her eyes widen when she sees Supervillain sleeping.
And holding her.
She swallows hard, flinching away and moving away. She turns her back to him and hugs herself, slightly tired from her night terrors. She clenches her eyes close, why the hell was he holding her?
It's a few minutes later when she feels the bed stir, hearing a small groan. She turns in on herself m, covered in the blankets like a cocoon.
She then hears Supervillain get off the bed, hearing his footsteps walk towards the large bathroom. The door closes and she immediately relaxes. She sighs and closes her eyes, wondering why had he been holding her?
Wait, he didn't touch her last night, right? No, she would have felt it. And her body fel the same, except for the fact that she was tired. Other than that, she felt the same. Nothing hurt.
She opens her eyes before slowly sitting up in bed, still slightly groggy.
"Ahh, your awake."
Her eyes look up to see Supervillain walk out of the bathroom, all ready to go. He stared at her, eyeing the way she was fidgeting her hands nervously.
"Relax, I'm not gonna hurt you." Supervillain rolls his eyes. He gave her a smile. "However, that doesn't mean you don't belong to me."
Hero frowns, shifting in her seat. She hated the way that made her feel warm and giddy inside.
Supervillain keeps his gaze on her as he locks his cufflinks to his black button up shirt.
Hero slowly grabs the duvet to cover herself up, staring at him with a upside down smile.
"Don't frown too much," Supervillain says walking over to the closet. "You'll get wrinkles."
Hero rolls her eyes. "So what, should I be happy? Being here, with you?"
"Hmm, I didn't say that." Supervillain shrugs. "You might wanna get up and get changed. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes,"
"Absolutely not. When I said that I would only show my face to you, I meant it."
Supervillain blinks, turning to look at her. He stared at her, like she was something else itself.
Hero only stares at him, her lips pursued.
Supervillain smiles, dark and forbearing. "I know, sweetheart,"
"-don't call me sweetheart."
Supervillain ignores the interruption and continues. "That's why only the people I trust will live here with me and you, mostly you since I will be out doing work."
"You mean being a villain," Hero grumbles.
"But seeing as your face is something you won't show to heroes and villains. I've threatened all my people, even the ones I fully trust, that if they tell your identity to anyone...." Supervillain chuckles darkly, his eyes flashing. "Let's just say, it won't be pretty."
Hero raises an eyebrow. "Is that true?"
"I might be a villain, but that doesn't make us full time liars." Supervillain rolls his eyes, he then looks at her. "Now, get up and get ready. You may look super hot like that, but I need you to be super extra pretty than you are." He turns and walks out of the room, a smirk on his face as the door closes..
Hero had turned red, her cheeks flushing with heat. She glares at the duvet. Why did he have to say that out loud?

F-Heroine and M-Supervillain
Part 2.
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━━━━━ ❜
"You can't do this."
"I just did." Superhero ignores her and continues walking down the long white corridor. His eyes were sharp and unemotional, he held a file in his hands as he walked forward.
Hero swallows hard and scrambles after him, panic clear on her face. She walks next to him. "It's irrational and stupid. You cannot be serious," she says in disbelief. She wore a short dress with some heeled boots, she never said no heels. Especially heeled boots. "You cannot comply with them,"
"Fuck, Hero." Superhero pauses, turning to her with a humorous laugh escaping him. "You think I wanna listen to them? You think I wanna do what they want us to do? I'd rather cheat on my wife," he scowls.
Hero frowns but slowly nods. "They want us to surrender or else they'll leak the information of every superhero out. Maybe we could take it back?" She says, biting her bottom lip in thought.
Superhero sighs. "I thought of that. But we have no idea where it is, I sent a few scouts out along with some agents. They couldn't find it," he grunts and pulls the door to a room open.
Hero trails after him, looking around the room and finding out it was one of the case file rooms. This was where almost every case was recorded, and then sent to storage for safe keeping.
Superhero looks through the file with concerned eyes, like he was thinking of something. He snaps it close, causing Hero to jump slightly, he slides the file on a shelf before turning to her. "Look Hero, I know you and the others want to stop this but we don't have a option. If the information gets out than everything is done for,"
Hero swallows, fiddling with her fingers.
"There are many more criminals out there, many more out of this city. There are many villains around the world. And if they find out who the heroes are, they'll all die. They'll be murdered and killed after their identities and family backgrounds are found out. And unless we surrender, we cannot be sure." He says sternly.
"But what if we-" Hero starts.
"No, Hero." Superhero cuts her off firmly. "We cannot be sure anymore, and until me and the other leaders agree on something or come up with something, no one is going on a plan of action. Understand?"
Hero suppressed the urge to argue, she nods obediently.
Superhero nods. "Good. Thank you, Hero. I know I can count on you," he gives her a smile before it drops and he walks out, frustrated.
Hero watches him go, she swallows hard and huffs. She decides to just go home to her significant other, Other Hero was probably worried about her. He's always been protective.
It was best not to get him angry.
...
"There are you." Other Hero said walking out of their room, an annoyed look on his face. He narrowes his eyes. "Where were you?"
"Sorry." Hero apologies, taking her coat off. "I was talking to Superhero. He wasn't in a good mood. Considering....."
Other Hero nods, letting out a sigh. "Yeah, I heard about that. The Leaders are coming up with a deal of some sort,"
"What do you mean?" Hero asks, moving closer. She wraps her arms around his waist since Other Hero had said he didn't like it when someone grabbed his neck or face.
Other Hero rolls his eyes, his hands going to Hero's rear causing her sqeak slightly, a blush coating her cheeks. "Apparently, they're thinking of trading something important for the hard drive. Something that could help both sides,"
"And what could that be?" Hero hums, thinking everything over. The hero organization didn't have much, the only key factor would be the way they handled their cases and the way each hero or superhero had a power. Some were similar while others were different.
Many heroes had the same gifts and powers.
Hero was probably the only one with her gift. She was an empath, almost, she could sense feelings and emotions. She could cause internal and external pain, inside or outside.
Her biggest gift of her power would be controlling a person, but she hadn't learned that yet since it was to dangerous. And even when she tried, she could only control one person and only for a few minutes.
Other Hero shrugs. "Beats me. As long as we win," he states before pulling Hero closer. "Now, I have been waiting all day to have you. Are you make me wait longer?" He smirks.
Hero giggles.
It wasn't her real laugh, her real laugh was like a cackle, a evil laugh that really sounded unlady like with snorts. Other Hero didn't like her laugh so she pretended to giggle for his sake.
He pulls her into a needy kiss.
Hero feels that same uncomfortable feeling she has been feeling for the past few months but ignores it, pushing it away as worry for the future. She kisses back slowly.
She didn't really feel anything with the kiss, and she didn't think she needed too. That was all in stories and movies, all the touch she felt was external, physical.
She may have sensed emotions but the one thing she didn't feel was her own emotions. Perhaps a curse to her own power.
She ignored the warning bells in her ears and continued to kiss her lover, the two moving over to the coach.
____
"HERO, HERO, HERO!"
She yelps when a person collides with her, Hero gasps and looks to see Sidekick, an excited but also a panicked look on his face.
"Sidekick? What's wrong?" She questions, moving over to sit where her cubicle was. A bunch of files along with many sticky notes were littered all over desk and computer, but she sat down and put down her bag.
Sidekick looks around the room, glancing at all the agents and heroes milling about. Unlike other days where all of them would be talking boisterously and laughing aloud, it was quiet with hushed whispers and small conversations.
No doubt that everyone was worried about the information the villains had and would use for their own gain. Even the elders hadn't decided what to do, there was no action and no nothing. Which was getting frustrating since many heroes were getting tired.
"What's wrong?" Hero asks, raising an eyebrow.
Sidekick shifts uncomfortably, he looks around at all the agents in the room. He didn't know whether to say this out in the open or to say it to Hero quietly in private. "I uh, I need to tell you something. Privately." He nods over to the break area.
Hero frowns but follows after him, the two stand near the coffee pot. "What's wrong?" She repeats, confused.
Sidekick looks around suspiciously, leaning in towards his boss. "I heard the Elders discussing a peace treaty of some sort, a deal with the villains." He whispers.
Hero blinks, her naturally pink lips parting. "...what?" She breathes out in shock. "Wh-what happened? What's gonna happen?" She asks eagerly.
Sidekick yelps when Hero leans in closer, her eyes flashing. He swallows hard, answering meekly.
"Well, the heroes are debating on giving the villains something worthwhile, like something really rare. An exchange for the hard drive, they're gonna give the villains something important they can use."
"And what is that?" Hero asks, raising her eyebrows. "What is that something?"
"I have no idea." Sidekick shrugs unhelpfully.
Hero deflates. "Dang it. Would have been awesome if you would found that out too," she huffs.
Sidekick shrugs sheepishly. "Yeah, well, all I know is that they're still debating what to give to the villains. As far as I know, we have nothing special." He shrugs.
Hero sighs. "You could say that again. But what are they even debating? All we have are some super powered humans, and our insanely good fighting skills."
Sidekick shrugs. "Hey, beats me. As long as they don't hand me to the villains," he then grabs a mug before pouring himself some coffee.
Hero furrows her eyebrows. "And why would they give you?" She says, looking over at him with some confusion.
"Well, Sidekick 2 had a theory that the agency might trade a superhero for the hard drive." He shrugs. "It would be trading someone powerful for something else."
"That's crazy." Hero shakes her head. "Why would they do that?"
"Hey, it's a theory." Sidekick rolls his eyes. "Why would they give a living person for a stupid hard drive?"
"You do know they could release the info they have on all heroes, right?" Hero says, giving him a stern look. "That could do a lot of damage."
Sidekick huffs, taking a sip of his coffee. "Yeah, yeah, all of you keep thinking about that but I'm wondering how they got the information."
Hero pauses, turning to look at him with wide eyes. A few people walk by, talking in whispers. However, she doesn't pay them any mind, turning all her attention to her sidekick.
"I mean," Sidekick hums. "How do you think they collected all the information about the heroes? How did they even gather all of it?"
Hero looks at him with a frown.
"Sure, they could have snuck in or hacked our database but how could have they have got all that information?" Sidekick continues with a shrug. "This place is heavily guarded."
"Sidekick...." Hero starts, getting an inquiry.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, but do you ever stop to think how they could have gotten all that info?"
"Sidekick!" Hero snaps.
"Agh!" He yelps, turning to her. "What?" He says, looking startled.
"You may be onto something." Hero starts, a smile growing on her face. "But we're gonna need to confirm a few things." She nods slowly, an idea forming in her head. Or a possibility.
Sidekick frowns. "What?"
Hero smirks.
Sidekick blinks.
......
"Alright," Civilian cracks her knuckles before she starts typing on her laptop crazy fast. She was sat on her sofa with Hero and Sidekick on either side.
In her apartment.
"You sure this is gonna work?" Hero asks, glancing between the laptop and the girl skeptically.
"Obviously," Civilian snorts. "I'm the best hacker ever, I once hacked into the pentagon." She smirks.
"Wow...." Sidekick blinks. "That was you?" He asks, staring at her in awe.
Civilian giggles. "Yeah, um, it was just a bit of hacking." She blushes.
Hero scrunchs her nose up. "Alright, the two of you can flirt after. Come on, Civilian." She says causing the two to blush. "Do your thing."
"Alright." Civilian mutters, she looks at her laptop as equations and numbers of all kinds come on. After a few minute, she furrows her eyebrows in confusion. "That's odd." She mutters, clicking a few buttons.
"What?" Hero moves closer to take a look at the screen.
Sidekick looks around the apartment. It looked cozy enough, it had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a small kitchen. The wall was a maroon color, matching the same coach that Civilian was sat on.
Many decorative pieces like small statues and flowers were put around, with many scientific and technical things around.
Civilian was known to be a Nerd and bit of a tech wiz. But she never joined the hero organization for unknown reasons.
"Well, according to this, the database for the hero organization was never hacked. Even I can't get through it." Civilian frowns.
"That's because they change their passwords every week." Sidekick informed, crossing his arms. "Thay change the password to log in everyday."
"Yeah." Hero mutters. "That is a lot of passwords."
"Well, the world has about a billion combinations, so that's that." Civilian nods, looking back at the screen. "But it was never hacked, from what I can tell." She shrugs. "They're security is pretty tight."
Sidekick sighs, running a hand through his hair agitatedly.
"Wait a minute..." Hero trails off, walking away from them slightly, she turns to them.
"What?" Civilian says, raising an eyebrow.
"If the database was never hacked, how do you think the villains got the info? Who has the power and access?"
Sidekick hesitates. "Hero...are you saying-" He starts.
"There's might be a mole in the agency." Hero states. "And it has to be one of the higher ups, no one else has that much power to hand all the background information for all heroes and sidekicks." She explains. "This is like, all heroes and sidekicks, and superheroes and vigilantes information."
Civilian slowly nods, shifting in her seat. "That's...possible. But who would do such a thing? Who would it be? How would they get in?"
Sidekick nods. "Yeah, she's right. How would they get in? And even if there is a mole, who could it be?" He mutters, looking away.
Hero shrugs. "I have no idea. But we have to be careful, and we have to find out who it is."
"How are we supposed to do that?" Sidekick asks.
Hero let's out a breath. "I don't know...yet. But we have to be extra careful, especially with the elders. One of them could be the mole,"
Both Civilian and Sidekick nod.
Hero sighs and glances at the clock. She bites her bottom lip when she notices the time, she was supposed to meet Other Hero. She quickly bids her farewell, leaving the other two who looked happy to be alone.
Hero rushes to the park, not getting a chance to enjoy the beautiful day. She arrives at the park where the two lovers were supposed to meet up, she sighs as she stares at Other Hero, who was pacing. He has never been a patient one.
He turns to look at her when he hears her walking towards him. He frowns. "I've been here for almost an hour, Hero. Where have you been?" He hissed quietly.
Hero swallows hard, knowing he meant well. He's always had an issue with anger, but they've talked about it and Other Hero explained how he never meant it and that he was just protective of her.
Understandable. The two were heroes, they were bound to get hurt on the job.
"I'm sorry." Hero says sheepishly. "I was with Sidekick."
Other Heri smiles tightly. "Really? And what pray tell, were you two doing?" He questions, crossing his arms.
Hero sighs, knowing he was a bit possessive or something. "He found out that the leaders are planing to make a deal with the villains or something." She shrugs nonchalantly, but on the inside her heart was hammering.
Was it normal to fear your significant other.
Other Hero stares at her, processing her words. He raises an eyebrow. "....that's slightly assuring." He mutters. "What else has he found out?"
Hero isn't sure whether to tell him or not. But she scolds herself for second guessing, this is Other Hero, why couldn't she trust him. "Not much. I don't think we'll find out until they make a decision." She shrugs.
Other Hero nods, a frown growing on his face.
Hero smiles. "Yeah. Now, are we here to have fun or talk about work? I'm really hungry." She sighs, remembering how she didn't have breakfast.
Other Hero nods but gives hero a look. "Sorry, Hero but I left my wallet at home. Uh, can you pay?" He asks as the two start walking towards a hot dog stand.
Hero falters but she nods. "Oh, uh, sure. It's alright," she says. This wasn't the first time that she had paid, Other Hero forgot his wallet all the time. It was no biggie. She wasn't that poor.
Heroes got paid based on their popularity, how many villains they caught or killed, how powerful they were and how much the people loved them. And if you were really popular, you even for benefits such as the agency paying all your hospital bills, getting a car or apartment or even a house or mansion.
The downside was that at any given moment, the agency has the power to freeze all your bank accounts or take away your things. But only if you were suspected as a villain or betrayed the organization and broke your oath.
Fortunately, Hero was popular and one of a kind. So they got paid atleast a thousand or something a month. But she mostly tended to save her money and keep it in a safe place instead of a bank account. She needed to be careful.
Hero glanced at Other Hero, he was texting someone on the phone.
"Everything okay?" She asks, holding her hotdogs. She only got ketchup on, nothing else. Usually, she would get everything but Other Hero has commented on how much extra weight she had put on, so she had decided to eat less.
Even though she got hungry.
"Yeah, awesome." Other Hero gave her a grin, his phone still in his hand and the hotdog in the other. "What do you think the elders will decide?"
Hero hums, looking away. "I don't know. If word gets out about the heroes identities, everyone will be in danger. All their families and love ones, they'll be in danger. And the villains will all win," she sighs. "They could probably take over the world with all that."
"Yeah," Other Hero nods with a hum. "Supervillain would, most likely."
Hero flinches, hearing the familiar name of the world's most wanted criminal. The number one wanted man on their list, the most calculated and deadliest man alive.
Supervillain.
He was known worldwide, being the son of Mastermind himself. He was known to be a ruthless killer, killing and torturing his victims slowly. And when he didn't, he burned them. No one could ever catch him, and no one ever did.
Because half the world was scared of him while the other half was in his payroll. No one could ever get close to him, because if they did, they would mysteriously die.
Even the hero organization couldn't catch him, which was quite amazing since they have caught even the biggest baddest criminals in the world.
Hero breathes out shakily, feeling her stomach twist uncomfortably.
Other Hero glances at her before rolling his eyes. "Don't get scared by that mere stupid name. He's got nothing on us, it's just plain stupid." He scoffs.
Hero nods, however her heart didn't agree.
Especially with what Sidekick had said. Could the agency really trade one of their own for a hard drive? Sure, it was really important but would they really do that?
They wouldn't.
Could they? The hero agency was a organized for heroes, to save people and help people. To capture villains and criminals, to put an end to evil doing. And even if the elders did so, what could they give them?
All the heroes were just average people with inhumane abilities and awesome, advanced fighting skills. How could they be the use to the villains?

"Hero!"
The girl looked up from her desk and the case files she was working on to hear Sidekick whisper harshly to her, a almost crazed look on his face.
Hero raised an eyebrow, sitting up and turning to him on her chair. "What made you look like a ghost this morning, Sidekick?" She jokes.
Sidekick shakes his head, looking serious which was very unlike him. "This is no laughing matter, Hero. I-"
Hero frowns when he pauses, almost as if he was hesitating. She looks around the office to see almost everyone quiet, deadly quiet, some were even whispering in small groups. "What?" She asks. "What's happening?"
Sidekick swallows hard, moving closer towards her. "I heard that Sidekick 2 snuck in a venter to see the meeting between the leaders," his face falls. "And they've made a decision."
Hero stares at him, standing up from where she was sitting on her chair. "And?" She asks eagerly, looking at him with wide eyes.
Sidekick goes to answer but stops when an announcement is made from the speakers for all the heroes to gather in the auditorium room, basically the jury room or something.
"Well, you heard them, let's go." Hero says, turning to walk towards that peculiar room. Sidekick trails after her, looking upset and kinda pale. "You okay, Sidekick? You look a little sick."
"I'm fine," He lies.
Hero knows he isn't but she doesn't push him, she instead focuses on the announcement and what it could be about.
The two heroes enter the auditorium along with many ithers who worked at the agency and take a seat in the back row.
Hero watched as everyone filed in, taking a seat whole others talked freely with others. She sighs and looks around, catching a few pieces of conversation before turning to look at the stage.
Her beautiful eyes squint when she sees Superhero with the other leaders along with a few other retired old men and women. She glances at Sidekick. "What do you think they're talking about?" She questions, seeing one of the old woman looking really upset.
Sidekick shrugs, swelling hard. "I have no idea." He looks away and shifts in his seat.
Hero frowns. "Are you sure your okay, you look tense, really tense." She states, turning her gaze to the still filing heroes who were entering the room and trying to find a seat. It was like a big conference, or meeting, since it was.
But it was weird seeing as the retired superheros were also present, which was very unlike them. This may be something serious.
Hero looks around, her face falls slightly when she spots Other Hero with Vigilante and her team. She blinks in confusion, she thought he had been ordered to go on a mission, that was what he had told her over text a few hours ago.
Did he come back for the meeting?
Hero sits up slightly as she eyes the way he was laughing with Vigilante. Why was he sitting with her? He knew that Vigilante and Hero were somewhat rivals. In beauty and hero work. Then why was he sitting with her.
Surely he would sit with Hero, his girlfriend who he has been dating for nearly 3 years.
No, she couldn't think like that.
He probably couldn't find a seat and was only sitting with her because of that. Maybe he was trying to make her happy so she wasn't snarky towards him.
Yeah, that was definitely it.
But Hero's eyes never left them, even when everyone was seated and everything had gone quiet. She didn't even listen to the speech they were giving, the same boring old speech about being hero and whatnot.
She couldn't take her eyes off from the way Vigilante kept whispering to Other Hero and how he kept smiling at her.
She bites her lip and turns to the leaders as they start to announce the reason for this meeting. Sidekick swallows hard, sinking his seat as he looked around at all the heroes nervously, almost as if he was guilty and upset with something.
But Hero didn't register it, her mind clogged with Other Hero and the way Superhero looked unemotional and stoic. She frowns and sits up, looking around as many other heroes and sidekicks also looked confused.
Superhero gets up and walks to the small table or speech thingy, he stares at all the people with a blank face. "As you all know, the villains have something quite important in their possession. A hard drive that has all the information of every hero, vigitante, sidekick and superheros."
Murmurs and whispers went around the room with some people shushing others.
"And..." Superhero starts, glancing back at the superheros behind him, seated on some chairs. "We have made a decision to do something about that,"
Sidekick glances at Hero and everyone else before signing and closing his eyes, he shakes his head before looking up and meeting Sidekick 2 eyes, who looked really sick and nauseous. Scared even.
"We....." Superhero hesitates. "...We, the Hero Industry, will be giving up a powerful hero to the villains, in exchange for the hard drive."
A loud uproar was heard as many heroes stood up, yelling in protest and anger, some had even started hurling insults at the superheros, who looked in surprise and shock.
Many of them of the heroes were standing and yelling, but very few were still sitting down in shocking, paralyzed in fear. Exactly like Hero.
Hero was frozen. She was frozen, looking at Superhero in shock, her nails dug in her palms which were placed on her lap. She swallows hard, her lips parting.
She knew it.
She should have seen it coming.
Sidekick wad right. He probably jinxed it or something.
This wasn't happening.
They couldn't do this, why would they do this? Sure, she knew the motto of putting others before yourself but this was something else. A hero would sacrifice their selves and the people around them to save the world but this was new.
The industry could not do this. They certainly cannot, it shouldn't even be allowed but it was happening.
"Yay, as long as it isn't me."
Hero heard a few people say behind her and around her.
"Why would they do this?"
"This can't be happening?"
"I hope they choose Hero 15, she's really snobby. I can't wait to see her gone."
"Hey, don't say that! What if you get picked!"
"Oh, my gosh."
"I hope they choose Vigilante."
"Other Hero better get picked, he's an asshole."
"Hero is the one who should get picked. She's a real pain in the ass, I can't wait for her to be gone. Then maybe us other heroes will also get a chance."
"Hero...." Sidekick starts, sitting up and turning to her with a frown.
Hero felt angry, how can they do this? "Why?" She whispers, staring at the stage with a furious expression. "They can't do this."
"Thay already have," Sidekick tells her sadly. "We just have to be patient and see who's chosen."
"Don't say it like that, it's not an honor!" She hissed. "This is...." she breathes out.
"ENOUGH!"
Everyone went quiet, staring at Superhero who also looked angry, he clenched his jaw and glared at them. "Enough! All of you! In your seats! NOW!"
Everyone sat down, reluctantly, still angry and in shock.
Superhero takes a deep breath and continues. "We are doing this for the benefit of the world. If the information is released than all the identities of every hero will be known and it will be easier for villains to gain control and take over the world. We are doing this for the world, for the people."
That was utter bullishit, Hero thought silently.
"One or few of you will be...picked and chosen. Sacrificed as a strong person who will bring great honor to us all. He or she will become a great legend for giving themselves up willingly for the benefit of the world,"
Hero only stares at Superhero with a frown.
Superhero looks around. "Now, we have not picked who will be going but there is going to be a heavy discussion and careful consideration about this. And no, if you decide to quit right now because of this, your wages will be cut and everything this company has given you, will be taken away." He explains sternly. "This is very important. I want most of you to be ready, because you may be picked."
Hero swallows hard.
"That is all I have to say, Thank You."
"You are so not welcome." Hero mutters quietly, staying in her seat as most people get up to leave.
Her powers were kinda acting up.
She could feel all kinds of emotions in the room. Fear, exhaustion, horror and jealousy. She didn't know why about the envy but she could sense manyb people overthinking and being overwhelmed. It was giving her a headache.
"....Hero...?" Sidekick says hesitatinly.
"Please don't," She whispers, shaking her head. "Just don't."
Sidekick shuts his mouth, following after Hero as she gets up to leave.
This day was gonna be hectic and full of chaos.
Many heroes were running around in panic, many of them were trying to alter their profiles to alter the power of their said powers. Many of them were changing their string powers to weak, surely they wouldn't send weak ones.
Many of them were planning to run away and hide. Some were even debating on quitting and living in the streets, it was better than being in the hands of the 'villains.'
Hero only felt upset, she was upset and disappointed in Superhero and what he and the others had decided.
This didn't leave, even when she got home to Other Hero who had somehow gotten home beforehand him. She wasn't gonna say anything about the way he had sat with Vigilante.
Other Hero breathes out, looking at her. "I'm worried if I get picked. I'm one of the strongest people in the league," he paces in front of the coach.
Hero sits down on the coach, twiddling her thumbs nervously. She stared at her well manicured nails, frowning. "...they also said that multiple people might also be picked."
"Fuck, Hero." Othe Hero says with a shake of his head. "Are you seriously worried about that? What if I get picked? I'll be in the hands of those...those scumbags." He hissed.
Hero twists her lips to the side.
"I hate villains. Imagine if I get picked, I'm the best of the best. I'll have to...to go there and I'll be tortured until I die." He walks over and sits on the coach, looking stressed.
Hero swallows hard, not wanting to bring up the fact that she may also be picked and that others might also be chosen. He was clearly panicking.
Hero didn't know what to do.
The coming days were horrible. So many heroes were quitting and many were even running and leaving the city. However, some stayed and many arrogant ones had decided they would be a legend by sacrificing themselves. A few even looked excited.
They were all dumb, Hero decided.
Superhero was avoiding everyone. Which was a wise choice seeing as everyone was furious with him and would probably attack him at any given point they would see him.
Hero had no idea what to do.
She was frustrated with everything. Fortunately for most of the sidekicks, they would not be chosen seeing as they were not powerful as a hero.
So basically, all the powerful and upper leveled heroes were screwed.
Including Hero.
Sidekick was worried sick about her.
He eyed her as she sat at her desk a week later, frowning at her curt attitude. She was acting too...casual. Too normal. As if nothing was wrong.
"Are you okay?" He asked one morning.
Hero didn't bother to look up as she typed away on her computer. "Yeah, fine."
"Hero..." Sidekick starts, licking his lips.
"Don't." Hero states. "I told you not to say anything. I don't wanna think about that."
"Hero, there may be a small chance that you may be picked." Sidekick says her, a solemn look on his face. "You may be-"
"No." Hero answers sharply. "I won't be. I-" her voice cracks slightly, she clears her throat. "I won't be picked. I can't be. I'm one of the only empaths here, they need me. I won't be picked,"
"Unless the villains decide."
The two turn to see Sidekick 2 approaching, a calm look on his face. He gives them a look. "There may be a chance that the villains may choose the heroes or hero. It isn't confirmed." He shrugs.
Hero's face falls.
"But don't worry," Sidekick 2 assured. "I'm sure you won't be picked." He gives her a warm smile.
"Hey!"
The three turn over to see a agent enter the room, panting, apparently having ran inside. "There are cars here! Like...villain cars!"
Gasps and talking went around the room, many had exited the room while the others had gone to their desk to check the cameras. A few had gone to the windows, who, judging by the reactions gave a good perspective.
Hero got up and walked over to the windows, her heels clicking against the floor slightly. She finds a area and blinks, seeing multiple cars lining up outside the industry.
Many men in uniforms got out, they looked like bodyguards. They probably were.
"Wait," Sidekick says as a man walks out of the car. His face goes pale with pure fear. "I -I I think, I think that's...M-Master Mind." He stutters out loud.
The talking gets louder.
"What!"
"Oh my gosh!
"No, no, no."
"Are we getting picked today!"
Hero stares at sidekick with wide eyes, turning back to see that same man enter through the front door. The floor Hero was on, was the fifth floor.
Superhero's office was on the same floor.
Fear flooded her. What about the other heroes that had ran out, what would happen to them? Surely they would be okay.
"Oh, this is bad, this is bad, this is bad on so many levels!" Sidekick breathes out, he started pacing.
"Bad!" Sidekick 3 snaps. "Bad? You think this is bad! No! This is pure horrid! Horrific. Absolutely....horrible and horrid. What the hell is he doing here?"
"I thought that he was supposed to be in hiding if something." Hero 2 mutters meekly, her eyes downcast. "Why would he be here?"
"For the treaty, of course." Hero 3 rolsl his eyes, he scoffs and shakes his head. "All of you are so dumb. How do you think the organization would hand us over? The villains will all come here and take one of us,"
Hero 2 swallows hard, glancing at the window with genuine fear.
"What are we going to do," Sidekick sighs, massaging his forehead wuth his fingers.
"I have no idea." Sidekick 2 shakes his head. "But I know for a fact that this isn't going to end well. Someone is going to get hurt, emotionally or physically."
Hero stayed silent.
Something in her gut told her to leave.
Something was telling her to leave and not turn back.
It was like something in her head was giving her warning signs, there were bells ringing in her head. Something was warning her.
Hero glances at the door, biting her lip.
She was gonna something dangerous and stupid. Something really dangerous and something really stupid.
"Sidekick," She speaks up, nodding him over as she walks over to the exit.
Sidekick frowns but follows after her, he looks around nervously.
The two enter a long white hallway, really cliche for a heroes headquarters. Hero pauses in front of vent, staring at it.
Sidekick immediately knows what's she thinks by the expression on her face. "No. No, no, no. Nope, nope, nope. Not happening."
"Sidekick..." Hero starts.
"No. Nope. Nada. Zilch. Not happening. I am not putting my life on the line and with Mastermind here? No."
Hero gives him a look. "Come one, we need to find out what's happening and why he's here. It could be important, really important."
Sidekick scowls. "No."
.........
"The situations you put me in," Sidekick grumbles, grunting as they crawl through the vent towards Superhero's office.
"It's not that bad." Hero rolls her eyes, she ignores the way her stomach churned. She may been claustrophobic but for the world's sake she needed to ignore it.
"It was not my decision to hide in a giant tree last Christmas." Sidekick scoffs.
Hero blushes but stays silent.
That wasn't entirely her fault.
The two crawl through the ironically large vent, it may been big but it wasn't that big. They crawl through easily, kinda. They went straight ahead, thankfully there were no confusing turns.
They then hear voices from a panel up ahead, the two share a look before moving closer.
Superhero, Mentor 3 and 6 along with Superhero 2 and 3 were sat around a large round table. A few agents linger, like guards.
Mastermind was sat in front of them, smoking a cigar. He blew the smoke out, leaning back against his seat as a few goons as well as a few guards surrounded the room.
"And what can she give me?" Mastermind asks, taking a puff of his cigar.
"She's kind and really strong." Mentor 3 says, staring at the criminal with a frown.
Mastermind scoffs. "Kind. Such a stupid word. No. I want someone powerful, someone strong and intelligent. Someone cunning and smart, someone calculated." He grins. "Someone who acts and thinks like a villain. Someone...unique."
Superhero stares at him. A thoughtful look growing on his face as his eyes flash with recognition.
"For what?" Mentor 3 asks skeptically, looking at him with barely concealed disgust.
"A daughter-in-law, of course." Mastermind smirks.
Sidekick's eyes widen while Hero gasps audibly, Sidekick shoots her a panicked look. Fortunately for them, no one hears them but Mentor 6 does shift in his seat, looking around the room.
Superhero 2' eyes widen with what looked like horror. "Daughter-in-law? For who?" She hissed.
"For my son of course," Mastermind tells them. "Supervillain. I'm sure you've heard of him, haven't you?"
"Who hasn't?" Superhero 3 scoffs.
Mastermind tilts his head. "I just want a hero capable enough. And I want more than future grandkids," he laughs.
Hero felt disgusted. Who the hell would want Mastermind as a father-in-law? Who would want Supervillain as a husband? And kids with him?
Gross.
"That's..." Superhero 2 starts, her expression shocked. "You want a hero to marry Supervillain? That's..."
"Forbidden." Superhero finally spoke up, his voice like ice, his eyes stoic. "It's forbidden for a hero and villain to get together." He says, almost like he was disgusted by the mere idea of them being together.
Mastermind rolls his eyes. "Fine than. No marriage deal than no hard drive."
"Wait," Superhero 3 says, he glances at Superhero 2 who frowns, she looks at Mentor 3. She than looks over to Mentor 6 and Superhero.
Mentor 6 stays silent, he looks away.
Superhero sits up. "There is one person who comes to mind...." He trails off, his eyes flicking to the side.
Mentor 6 also sits up while the others share looks of confusion.
Hero looks at Sidekick who shrugs unhelpfully, the two look back down through the panel.
"Oh?" Mastermind says intrigued, he leans forward. "And who is this?"
Superhero breathes out through his nose. "She's very capable. Very intelligent. And very cunning," he says to which Mentor 6 gives him a warning look.
Mastermind stares at him, nodding for him to go on.
Superhero continues. "She's very smart, too smart for her own good. She's one of our top heroes. However, she can be quite rebellious, so there's no guarantee she will listen."
Mastermind laughs. "The more rebellious, the better. And you say she's smart?"
Superhero chuckles darkly.
Hero frowns.
"Yes. She's quite sneaky, she can figure things out fast. And she is known to be stubborn but also very intellectual."
Mentor 6 swallows hard, looking worried for some reason.
"And who is this girl you speak of?" Mastermind questions, looking impressed.
Hero wanted to know the answer but all too soon Sidekick was tugging her back, saying how they should leave before they fall and get killed.
Hero doesn't want to but the two turn and crawl back. They reach there destination and jump off with Sidekick helping Hero out.
"Now what?" Sidekick says with a frown. "They've clearly looking for someone smart and intelligent. But who?" He mutters.
Hero has no idea but she felt her heart clench nervously, she suspected who but she so wished that it wasn't who she was thinking about. She hoped she was totally wrong.
A throat is cleared behind them.
They turn and nearly scream when they see Mentor 6, a stern look on his face.
"Mentor 6..." Sidekick starts nervously. "We were just taking a short wal-"
"Save it, Sidekick. I know you two better than anyone, and I especially know Hero." He looks over at her with narrowed eyes. "How much of the conversion did you hear?"
Hero shrugs. "Not much. But..." she shifts uncomfortably. "Who was Superhero talking about?"
"Ahh," Mentor 6 clicks his tongue. "So you heard that much. I...do not know."
"Liar." Hero could feel his emotions, she could tell whether someone was lying or not because of her power.
Mentor sighs. "I'm sorry Hero, but...I can't." He shakes his head. "What Superhero is doing, I have no idea what goes on in his head."
"What do you mean?" Sidekick asks, his tone series.
"I don't know. This marriage....I don't know what to think of it." Mentor 6 let's out a tired sigh before he turns around to leave.
The two watch him go.
"Curiouser, Curiouser and Curiouser." Hero mutters one of her favorite lines.
Sidekick spares her a glance. "Now what?" He mumbles.
Hero sighs. "I have no idea."

Dandelions and Control Pt. 1
Warnings: Language, forced marriage, past emotional abuse, past sexual abuse, trauma, angst.
Part 2
***
"You know, your not supposed to sit here all alone. This after-party is crawling with Villains who might abduct you,"
Hero let out a sigh, sat out on the porch near the stairs, outside Supervillain's so called Home. His Mansion was bigger than her apartment and perhaps bigger than the heroes headquarters.
"Yeah, well, no need to worry." She answers sarcastically, playing with her white gloves.
She wore a long white wedding gown, made of silk with matching gloves. The sleeves were short and went up to her shoulders, the dress also had a off shoulder design.
Her hair was in a low ponytail, nothing fancy. A few small white flowers were stuck in her hair, to give her a more elegant look. She had refused and screamed at Other Hero and Sidekick all throughout the day to not do anything fancy.
After all, this wedding was not without her consent. She wondered what Mentor would do if she ever found out what Superhero and the other league of superheroes had forced her to do.
Hero was now legally married to Supervillain, one of the most ruthless, sadistic, cruel villain ever. He was known to be fearsome, the best of the best.
Hero was only a bargaining chip, to make sure the heroes and villains finally got along. She knew it was a ruse, she knew it from the beginning. But no, no one listened to her. Villains would still do bad stuff, a stupid peace treaty wouldn't stop them. Nothing could stop a villain.
Especially Supervillain.
The man before her, rolled his eyes, holding a glass of champagne. "I don't worry about anyone, dear Hero."
Hero looked away, discreetly wiping the tears away with her fingers. She couldn't have her makeup smudged, Other Hero would surely get mad at her 'masterpiece'.
She heard Supervillain sigh before he moves closer and takes a seat next to her on the porch steps, looking out in the distance. Hero didn't turn to him, she didn't need too.
"I don't like it either, you know." He spoke up. "This....marriage," he spoke with disdain, he quickly downs the champagne before putting the glass on the side. "The Villains all agreed it would be a good way for a treaty, but that won't stop us." He pauses. "But you already knew that, didn't you? Your not dumb, unlike the other incompetent heroes."
Hero glances at him, playing with the diamond bracelet that was apart of her attire. She stared at it, Other Villain had been gaping at all the jewelry while Sidekick only looked disappointed and jealous.
But all this jewelry, it now felt so restricting to her. The large gold and sapphire necklace, the gold and diamond earrings, the diamond bracelet, the gold rings and the sapphire headpiece. It all felt so restricting.
The dress was absolutely beautiful, she wasn't gonna insult the dress, because it really was pretty. Along with the shoes, the diamond pieced shoes with a almost silver shine.
"Nothing can stop Villains," Hero states, letting out a sigh. The cold air was refreshing, the chill was nice with all the hot and humid inside the venue where the after party was. There were no vows and no kiss. It wasn't a wedding they wanted, it was a wedding for the people.
And it was all fake.
Not real.
Supervillain nods. "Told you, not stupid and dumb, unlike the others." He mutters. "This will do nothing to stop us, we'll still kidnap, torture, and do illegal stuff." He rolls his eyes. "Superhero and other superheroes were all so dumb to think that this was gonna work,"
"And I had to be slaughtered, like a little lamb." Hero says bitterly.
Supervillain looks at her, tilting his head. He looks away for a few minutes, a thoughtful look on his face, the silence between them was surprisingly comfortable.
Hero didn't know what she did to deserve this. She's always been a good role model, a good student, the best Hero. She helped people, kept them safe and was always considering her teammates instead of being selfish.
So why did they just sacrifice her? Why did they think that they could give her away? Was she that unimportant?
Or did they not like her?
She had helped the hero organization for so many years, she's sacrificed herself many times for them. She's been tortured, mentally, physically and emotionally. She's been kidnapped, drugged and nearly sexual assaulted so many times.
Everyone, including Other Hero and Vigilante always pointed out how beautiful Hero was and how lucky she was to be so pretty in a world where only pretty people were wanted.
Well, Hero thought differently. Being pretty isn't always so good, and nor are pretty girls lucky.
How many times has Hero helped the heroes? How many times has she made sure the city doesn't fall? What made Superhero send her away?
Was it because so they can spy on Supervillain? That couldn't be right, she would have been told of her orders.
And Superhero hadn't talk to her ever since their argument regarding their situation and the way he had ordered his guards to drag her away and lock her in one of the rooms in headquarters.
Why did this betrayal hurt so much? What was the point? Was she just a doll, to make sure that Supervillain would be happy enough with her so he didn't attack anyone or anything? To make sure that he and the other villains didn't do anything?
Well, tough luck. Because she as hell wouldn't do anything. And even if she did, would they even listen to her?
In the heroes eyes, she wasn't a Hero anymore.
In the Villains eyes, she wasn't a villain.
Then who was she?
Supervillain turns to her to say something but is interrupted by Vigilante walking towards them, she wore a scandalizing red dress, face caked in makeup.
"Superhero is asking for you, Hero." She says without a care in the world, probably tipsy from the alcohol she had been consuming.
Hero sighs before getting up, gathering the slightly poofy dress, it wasn't that ridiculous or big but it was still slightly puffed out. She glances at Supervillain who only stares at her.
Hero than turns to leave, ignoring the way that Vigilante was eyeing Supervillain, he only looked bored.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Ahh, Hero."
Hero ignored the stares that she was getting from the other retired or still active but old heroes.
What a bunch of pedophiles.
"Come, come." Superhero beckons her closer, a grin on his face.
She does so but only a few inches, giving him a blank look.
"Now, me and other heroes were discussing something very important." He states with a nod.
"And what would that be?" Hero asks, sarcasm clear in her voice as she gave him a wry smile. But they didn't seem to comprehend it, probably drunk.
"Well," Other Superhero coughs, grinning like a cheshire cat. "We have discussed you will need to keep Supervillain happy, if you know what I mean." He winks at her, laughing with a slur in his tone.
Hero frowns, looking at him with confusion. "Umm, I don't understand." She says softly, turning to Superhero.
He only rolls his eyes. "Oh, Hero. So naive and innocent," he smiles before it falls and he glares at her, moving closer towards her with an irritated look on his face. "But that won't work anymore, Hero. I'm telling you now, if you don't keep Supervillain happy and he and the other villains," he spat with disgust. "Ruin our reputation and attack the city, I'm holding you responsible for all of it."
Hero swallows hard as Superhero pushes her away and smiles at the others.
"Now, Hero." He smiles, however it held no humor. "I'm sure you'll do your best."
"I...." Hero's lips part, she stares at Superhero with betrayal painted across her face. However, her face changes and she masks the hurt on her face.
Was this really what Superhero thought of her? A little pig? A breeding little whore? A villain slut?
Was she still a Hero? Was she even considered a Hero in the eyes of the said heroes? Or was she now a Villain by default?
They send me away to find them a fortune
A chest filled with diamonds and gold
The house was awake, the shadows and monsters
The hallways, they echoed and groaned
I sat alone, in bed till the morning
I'm crying, "They're coming for me"
And I tried to hold these secrets inside me
My mind's like a deadly disease
I'm bigger than my body
I'm colder than this home
I'm meaner than my demons
I'm bigger than these bones
The Villains would never accept her as a Villain, she was still a hero in their eyes.
And the heroes had all but abandoned her.
What was she now?
A little plaything?
A whore?
A sacrificial lamb?
Did they give her away because she had no control over her 'so called' powers? Sure, she wasn't the best but she had believed that over time she would get better.
They didn't think so, no, they were giving up on her. They had abandoned her, used her as a thing.
She wasn't in control anymore.
And all the kids cried out, "Please stop, you're scaring me"
I can't help this awful energy
God damn right, you should be scared of me
Who is in control?
I paced around for hours on empty
I jumped at the slightest of sounds
And I couldn't stand the person inside me
I turned all the mirrors around
Hero turned away, grabbing the dress with one hand while the other arm tried to push away the tears threatening to leave her eyes.
She stormed away, ignoring all the stares and glares she was receiving. She ran down the corridor, trying to stifle her the sobs trying to leave her.
She stopped in an empty hallway, hyperventilating heavily. She turns and slids down the wall, letting out sobs as tears slid down her cheeks. She tried to stop her cries but that only resulted in ugly coughing and crying.
Hero looked down, sobbing relentlessly. Cries escaped her lips, tears ran down her cheeks and ruined her makeup but she could care less, her whole body began to shake as she tried to control the tremors trying to leave her.
She wasn't in control of her own life anymore. From the very beginning it was Superhero who was controlling her.
Why hadn't she seen it before?
Why had she been so blind?
Why did she trust Superhero? Why did she even think she could trust them? Why did she trust them?
Was she that stupid? Or was she just plain dumb?
She was married to Supervillain.
Supervillain was known to be cruel, ruthless, sadistic and a killer. She's known him for a few years, even fighting him once in a while with her team. But she was mostly told to stay back by Leader, who always told her that.
She used to think that he said that because he cared about her. No, he just wanted to get the glory when the paparazzi or the journalists were taking videos and pictures. She was told to stay back, but on the newspaper it would say she was a coward.
And now, she was the same coward that was marrying the Supervillain. She wondered what would happen now? Would she kill herself with all the oncoming torture she would go through?
Would he torture her?
Would he kill her?
Would he hurt her?
Her life was gone. Her hope was gone, leaving her in despair.
"Hero?"
She sniffles and turns to see Henchmen, he was staring at her with worry. He looked around the hallway before setting his eyes on her, concerned.
Hero smiles at him, teary eyed. "Are you also here to indirectly insult me?"
"What?" Henchmen frowns. He shakes his head. "No. Of course not." He pursues his lips, shifting awkwardly. "It's just, that I saw you run away from Superhero."
Hero looks away.
"Are you....okay?" He asks hesitantly.
Hero stays silent.
Henchmen sighs. He than moves so he's sitting on the floor next to her, she glanced at him.
"I-" Henchmen starts, looking at her. "I know that this isn't what you want or for the fact what Supervillain wants but what happened, happened. You and I both know that your smart enough to figure out that this was a whole ruse and nothing will stop the Villains,"
Hero slowly nods.
"And for the fact that your stupid teammates and bunch of heroes couldn't see that, clearly says a lot." Henchmen continues. "It says that there dumb and your not. And for the record, I actually like you." He states.
Hero furrows her eyebrows, looking at him. "You do? Why?" She wipes her cheeks with the back of her hand.
"Well, for one, your not dumb. Your really smart and intelligent. Not to mention that your not after glory, unlike some people." He mutters with a roll of his eyes. "And I for one, think that you and Supervillain will make a good pair."
"Huh?"
"I'm saying that maybe, perhaps, you can keep him on his toes. And actually help us,"
Hero scoffs. "Just because you like me, doesn't mean a thing. All the others still hate me,"
"Don't worry, I have feeling that will change too." Henchmen smiles.
Hero only stares at him, however, she does manage a shaky smile.
Time will only tell.
