Gem is Peryton (fictional bird-deer mix) hybrid, not a deer hybrid like most assume. She keeps it a secret, not because of self-confidence issues but to see how long it takes the other Hermits to figure out her true nature.

Pearl knows but Impulse doesn’t, not until a Zedvancement required them to swap species. (In-universe version of the fanon swap art trend)

Impulse is more than a little concerned when he wakes up with wings, talon hands, and a taste for meat.

My brain R E F U S E S to turn off so some misc mcyt headcanons :D

- Ren is captured currently by the watchers because he keeps getting to close to inciting a major uprising against them

- Lizzie is slowly becoming a Listener (starting from the swap out in Limited Life). The Listeners swapped her out to keep her sane after Last Life. And they wanted to preserve Pearls sanity so they swapped her in for a session.

- C!Ren is a pan disaster

-Grian, Pearl and Jimmy are siblings. They basically raised each other.

-Grian and Pearl are twins 

- Cleo & Joe are childhood best friends

Cleo was a young Zombie hybrid abandoned by her Lurch (a group of Zombies)

Joe was a code mistake who was cast off by the devs as a mistake, for years he was young and angry. Using his corrupted Code to jump around servers without notice and curse people (Herobrine). Eventually he was locked into the world hub by the devs.

They became fast friends with the need for survival

- Iskall keeps trying to sneak Tubbo & Fundy onto Hermitcraft to show them his Redstone creations

- Pix is the immortal champion of Death

He was a young elytran in the beginning of the Devs worlds

He was captured by poachers and killed for his wings

Death sent him back as a phantom when he made her a deal to spread her influence to new lands

- Etho is a shape shifter :D

- Mumbo is an enderman hybrid from the nether

- Mcc is a huge event on Hermitcraft, they usually invite the winning team (if it has hermits on it) to a giant party on the Server. It is insane.

It feels Off.

And not just because the antlers are heavier than his horns, the deer tail is shorter and thicker than his own, or even that he now has hooves instead of feet and his pants just don’t fit anymore.

He’s sitting in Gem’s kitchen, wearing a hastily thrown together skirt/kilt hybrid and contemplating the way it feels like he’s taken a step to the left.

Annoyingly, Gem seems to have adjusted very quickly. Bouncing around the room as quickly and smoothly as she usually does. Only very occasionally tripping over her new, wire-thin tail. She also seems distracted throwing together some emergency soup, so Impulse takes advantage of that to close his eyes and delve deeper into his own being.

On the one side he feels more...grounded, then he usually does. As an infernal being, it doesn’t matter how long he’s spent on the Overworld, a part of it will always be foreign to him and he to it. A part of that feels gone. Like he finally, truly belongs here. But also…

Somehow it all seems further away at the same time. As if for the first time he has both feet on dry land, but also might shoot off into the sky at any second.

On the outside Impulse looks like a deer-kin but on the inside he feels as if he’s brushing up against something much, much bigger.

“Are you okay, Impulse?”

He opens his eyes again, disoriented, and Gem is right there. Dark eyes wide, her new horns almost hidden beneath her hair. Head tilted to the side in curiosity.

A shiver goes up Impulse’s spine.

“You aren’t,” he gestures vaguely. “You aren’t just a deer. Are you.”

It’s not a question.

Gem smiles, gentle and warm with the sharpness of a diamond blade beneath it. She leans across the table and presses a finger to her lips.

“Shhhhhhh.”

Because I’m me I couldn’t help but make these like, a series/one connected idea. Very vague setting but general story is Shenanigans happen and the hermits find themselves swapping species at random for a day and then remixing and swapping again with someone else etc…

So this can hypothetically go on for as long as I get prompts for it, and repeats are enabled and it can all be one story. (I also have a plan to cover at least some level of like, “different” species for the same hermit)

Avian!Beef for the hermit fanon swap?

beef is one of those hermits i dont really keep up with, so i was pleasantly surprised to look him up as a reference and promptly discover that he looks exactly like his minecraft skin irl. exact opposite reaction to mumbo as in you go, "oh, his beard is even more impressive in real life!"
