DAY 9!!! ITS SO LATE WAAAAAAAAA school has been KICKING MY ASS. SORRY.

ok so i should explain this one i think? this comes from a fic im trying to write that's music relevant and has Izzy in it, and most of it takes place at a house party with a DJ, and for plot reasons that DJ can't be Beardo so my slug-brain went "hey what if you made a Splatoon reference? Dedf1sh is a DJ!" and i thought it was a great idea actually! except i didn't know why she'd be here in a Total Drama house party soooo yeah i gave Izzy two girlfriends haha

ok but seriously if Izzy got a time machine do you seriously think she wouldn't try to date the future fish people, especially if they were cool as hell, specifically to fuck with her friends?

Mostly just posting this so I remember how to write this down for when the dedf1sh/Marina EP drops (this is for the album's description)

Zwei kleine oktopusse, Getrennt von ozeanen tief, Auf der Suche nach einem höheren sinn Koste es, was es wolle, Achtung, kleine oktopusse, Denn was ihr beide sucht, Wird seinen preis haben

Um yeah so I intended for this short poem to be in German ('cause Acht) (also I feel like just writing this in German would really forshadow Acht's fate 'cause "achtung" means "beware" or "danger" in German and we all know what happened to our favorite octarian DJ when they ended up in the Deepsea Metro, the definition of octarian hell basically). Dunno how accurate the German in the poem is. Anyways, here's the English version of the poem:

Two little octopuses, Parted by oceans deep, In search of a greater purpose No matter the cost Beware, little octopuses, 'Cause what you both seek Will come at a cost

I don't usually write poetry out of my own free will (trust me I hate writing poetry for school like A LOT), so I dunno how high quality this stuff is. Anyways at least now I have something clever to put in the description for the dedf1sh/Marina EP when it comes out on Thursday.

deciding to go on a ramble about my interpretations of the splatoon agents

so if you don’t already know, all the agents identity/personality are based off of the kind of person I was when first getting each game. this will also include names for each agent (Captain 3 being an exception as their characters grows with me) (also note that any mention of capt 3 during splatoon 2 in the timeline just means when octo expansion happened)

Captain 3

Started as she/her in splat 1, grew to she/they in splat 2, is now as full fledged they/them by splat 3

Chose their enby name based off a joke nickname they made for themselves back when they were younger, Raine (pronounced rain). this is because they loved bomb rush and liked thinking that they were so badass, making all the bombs “rain from the sky”

went absolutely feral once ink storm came out

used to be very hyper in splat 1, grew a bit self conscious around splat 2 (before realizing enby identity), strives to be the “cool chill mystery guy” (but is still a hyper loser (affectionate) once they’re comfortable around you)

kinda had a crush on the octoling rivals (still does)

pansexual, but can’t flirt for shit and is awkward as hell

merciless in battle, but knows it’s all in good fun (more merciful when it comes to octarians. if stealth is an option, they will take it)

feral art kid. her style is the typical “anime obsessed middle schooler” art style, but it’s charming in a way.

loves horror games and will play any of them

hates Mr.Grizz, but admires the fuzzy octoling’s drip.

wants to un-fuzzify the alterna octarians, but has no knowledge of science at all so they’re trying to find someone (with more knowledge) to help
