Phan Cam: It’s Magix!
>The magical planet of Magix. We came here to find where King Erendor’s Palace is. We already checked on Eraklyon, but it wasn’t there... Guess that was too obvious, huh?
Erendor’s Palace being his palace? That’s way too simple, even for a king.
Luck for you guys, I found out online that the king has been coming to Magix a lot lately. Mostly to that school that was mentioned in the request.
Because they were admixing female students?
Futaba: Pretty much.
Then I guess that’s where we go. If he’s that obsessed with it, that has to be where his Palace is.
Then we’re off. Let’s go!
>Then, to our surprise... Morgana became our van.
Oh, shit!
But how?
Well this is the Realm of Magix...
So of course there were will be magic.
I guess that makes sense.
(getting ideas) Magic, magic, hear my plea. Make Ann chan fall in love with-
(quickly covering his mouth) NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
Morgana: Besides, I don’t think that’s how magic works in the Magic Dimension.
How does it work here, anyway. Don’t tell me we have it.
Morgana: I’ll explain on the way.
>We got in Morgana and drove off to Red Fountain.
Morgana: Lavenza said before we left is that because I’m of course the creation of mankind’s hope. But our Personas help as well because of their magical background. Joker, your Ultimate Persona, Satanael, is a demon lord. Skull, your Ultimate Persona, Seiten Taisei, often known as the Monkey King in most parts of Asia, had already mastered 72 magical skills. Panther, your Ultimate Persona, Hecate, is the Goddess of Witchcraft. Fox, your Ultimate Persona, Kamu Susanoo, is the God of the Wind and Sea, the son of the creator deity, Izanagi. Queen’s Initial Persona, Johanna, was a priestess who, despite deceiving people to become the Pope, was granted great power. Oracle’s Initial Persona, Necornomicon, is based off a powerful spell book of the same name. Noir, your Ultimate Persona, Astarte, is considered the productive power of nature. Crow’s Ultimate Persona, Loki, is already a trickster god with great power. And my Ultimate Persona, Mercurius, is closely related to Hermes, who sometimes is considered a patron of magic, mostly because of his wife, Hecate.
Does this mean that you and I are going to be husband and wife just because our Persona were together?
One can only hope.
>We arrive at our destination.
Haru: Here we are. Red Fountain School for Specialists.
Nav: Candidate found.
Makoto: It looks like you were right, Futaba.
Tecna, eat your heart out.
Ren: We now have the who and the where. Now we just need the what.
Makoto: He’s trying to keep Red Fountain from admitting female students. It’s understandable. Red Fountain has always been an all-boys school. But I think it’s a good thing that we’ll be having female Specialists. This school is just moving into the modern age.
Ann: Yet Erendor’s still living in the past and is against this change. I wonder why. If we knew why he doesn’t want girls attending here, we might have a grasp of what his distortion might be.
Yusuke: We should probably ask around. Do to an event coming up in honor of this change, Saladin, the headmaster of this school, is allowing visitors from all over the universe to see the school. The headmasters of the other schools are doing the same.
Makoto: Does that mean Alfea and Cloud Tower might be admitting male students soon?
Futaba: Well, Cloud Tower might let a wizard or two go. But for Alfea, I doubt it. Partly because male fairies, though not uncommon, are a rare sight and partly because of Alfea’s Head of Discipline.
Ren: I have a feeling I get the picture.
Akechi: You best ask around without us. It turns out I’m too easily recognized even here.
Ryuji: Same here. After my idol debut, a lot of people wanted my autograph.
Ann: He’s not kidding. At school, a lot of people were gathered around him. Which reminds me, I probably shouldn’t go either. Someone might recognize me from my modeling pictures.
Haru: Me too. Everyone recognizes me from my father’s company and the news.
Makoto: I might also be recognized from the Fight Before Christmas. So I too will be staying out of this.
Morgana: So the ones who will be asking around are Ren, Yusuke, and Futaba...
Yeah, I don’t think this is going to work.
Ren: We could always try disguises.
Makoto: It’s worth a try.
>A little later.
This is actually a good disguise...
Japanese countryside students are very lucky.
You have the Investigation Team to thank for these.
Man I wish we had these during Dancing in Starlight.
I’m sure they’ll add it sooner or later, among other things.
Well, as long as no one recognizes us, we’ll be fine.
Alright. Let’s get to searchin'.
We’ll meet back here in an hour. If anyone has found anything, text us straight away. If not, we return to the city and come back another day.
Right. Good luck everyone.
Same to you. Thank you.
>With that, we parted ways. After much searching, I found a student who is willing to talk.
Sure, I guess I have time. I’m Helia, by the way.
Ren: Flora’s boyfriend?
Morgana: Looks like you might have struck gold here.
Helia: Is that a cat I heard?
Ren: ... It was my phone alarm. Just ignore it. So tell me, what do you know about King Erendor and his objection to admit female students to Red Fountain.
Helia: Straight to the point, I see. Basically, I think he’s just being dumb. Girls have just as much right to come here as us guys do. Even Flora agrees. She and her friends.
Ren: The Winx are in the party that support girls coming here?
Helia: It was practically their idea... Well, Musa’s anyway. After her ex-boyfriend, Riven, dropped out, she started giving it some thought. If she can go on without a man by her side, she can easily encourage girls to do the same. Don’t get her wrong, she doesn’t hate men, she just thought that it was time for a change. She and the Winx want any girl to be able to pursue their dreams. That includes coming to Red Fountain.
Ren: I can see that. But do you think you might know why King Erendor would want to stop this change?
Helia: I’m not exactly sure. You might want to ask Sky for that. Erendor is his father. Though, I don’t think he would want to talk about this... But his squire, Brandon might.
Ren: Where can I find him?
Helia: By this time, you’ll find him in the courtyard on the other side... Fair warning, his girlfriend is with him.
Ren: Thank you for you time.
Helia: Hold on. I never got you name.
>Too late. I was already on my way. On the other courtyard, I find Ann already speaking with Squire Brandon who is with his girlfriend, Princess Stella of Solaria.
That’s a really good outfit you have on. Is that the latest trend on Earth now?
Ann: It’s just a simple school uniform.
Calm down, Stella. I think you’re making her uncomfortable.
Princess Stella: Sorry. I’ve just never seen anything like this before.
Ren: Excuse me, are you Squire Brandon?
Squire Brandon: I am. Who wants to know?
He’s a friend of mine. We just came to ask around.
Squire Brandon: Fine. What do you want to know?
Ren: What do you think about King Erendor’s objection to allow young women to attend Red Fountain? What do you think he sees this place as?
Squire Brandon: I think-
Princess Stella: Hold on, honey. I think I should answer this... I think Erendor’s just a big dodo head. He clearly doesn’t like the fact that he’s reach the point in every king’s life where’s he’s not in change anymore. His son is king now. Erendor should let Sky make his own decisions. That old fart needs to get over it.
Squire Brandon: (sarcastic) Thanks, Stella. I could not have thought of a more colorful way of bashing the ruler of my homeworld.
Princess Stella: (oblivious) You’re welcome.
Squire Brandon: But you do have a point. Sky is King of Eraklyon now. Erendor should let him make his own decision. If he wants to be with his fiance and vote yes on letting Red Fountain have female students, let him. He’s not some sort of dog.
Princess Stella: I know. I feel so sorry for Bloom.
Ann: I think we pretty much learned all we need. Thanks.
Princess Stella: No problem.
Squire Brandon: If you want to hear more, you should try asking Roy.
Princess Stella: You better hurry. He’ll be leaving very soon for Alfea to visit Aisha.
Ren: Right. Thank you for your time.
>Me and Ann quickly leave.
Squire Brandon: (suspicious) What was that about?
Princess Stella: Beats me. Speaking of leaving, I should probably go, too. I promised Saladin I would help design the uniforms for the female students.
Squire Brandon: Right. Good luck, honey.
>With that, Princess Stella teleports away. Then, a message comes on Squire Brandon’s phone.
Hey, Brandon. Have you noticed some strange people going around?
Now that you mention it, I have. I think we should warn Roy.
>Me and Ann part ways for now and I find the one called Roy about to leave.
Ren: Excuse me, can you spare a moment before you go?
Sure. But make it quick. Me and a friend of mine are going roller skating later.
Ren: What is your take on King Erendor’s objection to Red Fountain taking in female students?
Roy: I think Erendor’s just being stubborn. He can’t stop change. And yet he insists on having his way. I’m just hoping Sky can pull it together.
Ren: I’m starting to hope for him, too. From what I’ve heard, his father’s treating him like a dog.
Roy: I know. Poor guy. I can’t stand to see Sky being his father’s lapdog. And it’s even putting a lot of stress on Bloom. You see, Erendor never really got along with Bloom’s father. All because of a deal he made.
Ren: Deal? What deal?
Roy: I don’t know much about it. But I think Timmy might know. He’s known Sky longer than I have.
Ren: Right. I’ll ask him. Thank you.
>With that, I leave to find Timmy... I didn’t hear Roy’s phone go ring.
Roy, I think some people have been asking about Erendor.
Yeah, they just spoke with me, too.
I’m a little worried and I think we should let Sky know.
Something tells me we should. I just have this funny feeling about this.
>Back with Brandon, he finished with his conversation with Roy and contacts Sky.
Hey, Sky. I think we have a problem.
What kind of problem?
>Later, I find Timmy having a conversation with Futaba and Akechi... It doesn’t look good.
Goro Akechi. I knew you couldn’t fool me. Those glasses are no good at all.
Akechi: Really? ...
What gave me away?
Timmy: The long hair, the sparkling wit, that detective aura you give off... But mostly the long hair.
I told you you needed a trim.
Ren: I don’t mind it.
Timmy: Another one of your friends?
Ren: I am. We just want to ask you something.
Timmy: You mean like my take on Red Fountain allowing girls to come? Well, I know it would a good change. Though, it would seem unusual.
Akechi: And what do you think of King Erendor’s objection to it?
Timmy: I understand that he’s just scared. Red Fountain has always had proud sons. But that doesn’t mean we can’t keep an open mind. Even a wisest of men say that change isn’t always a bad thing. But if Erendor wants to everyone to be an obedient dog, that’s his problem. To him, we’re just wild animals.
Ren: I see.
Futaba: Sound like he’s got some issues.
Timmy: I know, right? I was going to contact my girlfriend and see how Bloom is holding up. I can’t stand to see Sky like this.
Akechi: I feel sorry for her. Well, thank you for your time. We’ll be going now.
Timmy: Glad I could be of some help.
>With that, we leave. Then, a call comes for Timmy.
Let me guess, you want to talk about some strange visitors in our school.
You guess right. I think we need to get together. Roy told Aisha that they’ll have to cancel their date. Just hope things don’t get out of hand. We don’t know what these people are capable of.
>I was walking around when a message came in.
I think I’ve found a lead.
What have you found?
I met some guy who used to be a student here. He says he can tell us what we’d like to know since he ain’t a student here no more.
Alright. I’m on my way.
>I arrive in the combat arena. I find Ryuji with the former student.
Aren’t you...
Don’t get too excited. I only came to see how things have changed since I dropped out. Just wanted to see if they were serious about letting girls attend.
Ryuji: What do ya think about it?
Riven: Well, I don’t object to it. I think it might be a good idea to let some girls in. I totally agree.
Ren: Is this because it’s mostly Musa’s idea?
Riven: ... I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.
Ren: Forgive me. So, what is your take on King Erendor’s objection?
Riven: I think it’s time that old geezer should grow a pair. Girls have just as much right to go to this school than guys being able to do things a girl can.
Ren: That’s for sure.
Riven: I swear, he thinks we’re turning this place into a zoo. He’s just trying to be the tyrannical keeper.
Ren: That sounds rather interesting. I think I’ve got everything we need.
Ryuji: He’s right. Thanks for that.
>With that, we leave.
Riven: What was that about?
>Then, Riven noticed something... Sky and the other Specialists together going somewhere.
Riven: And that’s just even weirder. (begins following them) What’s going on?
>Back with me, I get another message.
Ren, me, Makoto, and Haru found someone who might help us.
What did you find?
Well, he’s not actually a student. But he’s friends with King Sky’s cousin.
Meet up with us we’ll talk more.
I’m coming.
>I arrive at where my friends are talking with King Sky’s cousin’s friend.
I’m still not so sure about this. Erendor is Thoren’s uncle and Thoren’s my best friend. But he and I both agree that Erendor’s getting too big for his crown. I think I can come up with something.
Makoto: I’m glad to hear that. So what is your take on this?
Nex: Erendor just can’t take a hint. I know the real reason he opposes to Red Fountain admitting female students... Is to drive a wedge between Sky and Bloom.
Haru: Is that so?
Nex: No doubt. Erendor really wanted Sky to marry Princess Diaspro. But he chose Bloom. Diaspro’s a total nightmare. And yet Erendor still wants Sky to marry her. Does think that if he can get those two together, they would breed some kind of power children? Doesn’t he know Sky can pretty much already do that with Bloom?
I’m surprised that you can put it that way.
Nex: You’d be surprised by what I’ve been though.
Makoto: I see. Well thank you. You have told us plenty.
Nex: Glad I could be of some help... I think.
>We leave... Again, we didn’t notice Next getting a call.
What’s up?
Did a bunch of young people in school uniforms spoke to you today?
Yeah. Why?
>We regrouped at the spot where we first arrived.
Morgana: Okay, what have we learned so far?
Ann: Well, we learned that a lot of the students here don’t like Erendor. Most of which are the Winx Club’s boyfriends, so of course they would agree with them.
Ren: I feel more sorry for Sky. He wants to agree to be with Bloom, but his father is forcing him to choose.
Haru: Yes. From what we’ve learned, Bloom and Sky really love each other and Sky would do anything for her and she would do the same. But Erendor is trying to break them apart so his son would marry this Princess Diaspro. It sounds no different from what my own father try to do to me.
Ryuji: And Erendor just sees everyone as savage animals that he thinks he needs to control.
Ren: Yeah. Riven mentioned something about a zoo.
Makoto: Let’s see if that’s what Erendor sees this place as.
>Makoto opens the Nav and enters zoo.
Nav: Results found. Updating guidance system.
It looks like we have a hit.
That royal son of a bitch! He actually thinks everyone’s a dumb beast!
I can’t believe that such a man is father to someone so kind hearted.
Makoto: We won’t let him get away with this, Haru. I promise.
Then, let’s do it.
Phantom Thieves: Right!
>I was activating the Nav... And then...
???: Stop!
>We turned quickly to see... The Specialists.
My friends were telling me that you were asking around about my father. Why?
Please, stay back!
Nav: Beginning navigation.
Too late! Here we go!
>The familiar red wave passes over us. When it was over, Red Fountain looked like his had become overgrown with plants and animal sounds can be heard from it. There was also a huge sign at the entrance that read, “Red Fountain Animal Kingdom.”
(Insert song: A Woman)
Ren: This looks like the place.
Haru: So, this is what a king like that sees a place of learning.
Ann: Actually, I think we have bigger problems.
>We turn to see that the Specialists had come to the Metaverse with us.
Squire Brandon: Where in the Magic Dimension are we?
Riven: I don’t know. But I have a bad feeling about this.
King Sky: And I think these guys have something to do with it.
(whisper) Someone think of somethin'.
(also whispering) What do you want me to say?
Ryuji: Anythin'.
Makoto: (normal volume) This? This is just a new illusion spell we’ve been working on. Isn’t is so life like?
King Sky: ... Nice try. We’ve seen illusion magic before. Besides... I’ve never seen illusion like that.
>He was pointing at Mona.
He... He has a point.
Nex: So I suggest you tell us the truth.
>So, with no other choice, we spent the hour telling them the truth.
King Sky: (shocked) YOU’RE THE PHANTOM THIEVES!?
Can you not shout so loud? I don’t think the Shadows heard you inside the Palace.
King Sky: Sorry. This is just so much to take in. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts of Earth our just kids.
Akechi: Technically, Futaba chan’s the kid. The rest of us are either already adults or are on the cusp of adulthood.
I'm 16.
Akechi: Either way, we’re here. We received a request to take your father’s heart so he may allow Red Fountain to admit female students in.
King Sky: I can’t believe that my dad would become a target for you guys.
Timmy: I can’t believe a great detective like Goro Akechi would be a thief.
Riven: Or an idol. Am I right, Ryuji Sakamoto?
You know about me?
Riven: I saw your debut concert with KUROFUNE. I’ve seen beat boxers before, but you, you took it to a whole new level. Your beat boxing is... Legendary.
That’s because Max Mittleman's a very good teacher.
Makoto: I never pegged you a s someone who was into music, Riven kun.
Riven: Well I am the Fairy of Music’s ex boyfriend. Of course I would be interested in this sort of thing... Among others.
Ryuji: Others?
Riven: ... I’ll explain another time.
Ren: Anyway, if you’re here to stop us...
King Sky: After seeing this place and knowing how my father truly thinks... Stopping you now would be pointless.
Really? You would let us do this?
King Sky: I don’t normally condone thieves robbing from my family, but if that’s what it takes to get my father to see reason, I’m willing to look the other way.
Ren: ...
Thank you, Your Majesty.
>We prepair to go in.
King Sky: Wait. At least let us come with you. These Shadows you mentioned. They sound dangerous. At least let us come with you to make sure you’re safe.
Ryuji: Don’t worry ‘bout that. We can pretty much handle ourselves against Shadows.
Mona: Are you sure about that?
>We looked down and see what Mona meant.
Yusuke: Our clothes. They haven’t changed.
Nex: Your clothes?
Mona: It’s complicated. Anyway, your clothes didn’t change because King Erdor doesn’t see you as a threat yet.
Makoto: That could be problematic. We won’t be able to use our Personas like this.
Futaba: Let’s go in a little further. We should at least see what it’s like inside.
Timmy: That’s proably good.
King Sky: Let’s suit up.
>As if by magic, the Specialists and one Paladin were in their uniforms. We go in to see what we can see. It looked like an indoor zoo with some exotic animals, some of which were from other worlds of the Magic Dimension and not just Earth. At the center of the lobby, there was a sign on it.
See the Amazing Sky, the Not-So-Wild Dog! He’ll do whatever the Zoo Director says!
You can’t be serious.
And I thought the Trix was this hard.
I guess that’s how cognition works. Is that right?
Futaba: That’s what Mom’s research said. When a person’s thought become distorted, this is the result.
It’s so... Beautiful. But at the same time, grotesque.
Yusuke: I take it you are an artist, aren’t you?
Helia: The same with you, I take it.
Yusuke: I take inspiration from the cognitive world. It shows me that chaos and order exist as one. It is only by seeing through the ugliness of man will one be able to see the beauty within.
It’s all very poetic.
Helia: It is... I think.
>Suddenly, Futaba stops us.
What’s up, Futaba?
Futaba: There’s a Shadow nearby.
>We quickly hide as a couple of Shadow that look like zoo keepers.
Shadow 1: Personally, I agree with the Director. These beasts should only breed when they’re outta here. But to bring girls in here? That’s just asking for trouble.
Shadow 2: Yeah, those dumb Winx girls are just being ridiculous. This place has always had guys here, why let girls in here and ruin the purity of it by letting them get away with whatever?
Shadow 1: That Musa girl really forgot her place. And so has that Bloom. Hopefully, the Director will do something about this.
Riven: (whispering but upset) Forgot her place!?
Shh! Riven, they’ll hear us.
Riven: Sorry. I just don’t like them talking about Musa that way. We may no longer be going out, she’s still a good friend.
Roy: (he was already wearing his uniform when first met) That’s true. But we have to be careful.
Shadow 2: But do you know who really get’s my cage rattled? ... That Princess of Andros.
Nex and Roy: !
Shadow 2: She thinks he’s all that just because she can kick butt with or without her powers.
Shadow 1: Yeah, no kidding. She’ll never be the queen she’s expected to be that way... I bet even Nabu is happy to be free of her now.
Nex and Roy: (angry) WHAT!? YOU TAKE THAT BACK!?
Shadow 1: Huh? Who’s there?
Riven: (smug) Who’s being careful now?
>The two Shadows spot us.
Shadow 1: Intruders! Sound the alarm!
Shadow 2: (on a radio) Code Red! Code Red! We have intruders! Send backup!
Shadow 1: While we’re waiting, we better deal with them now.
>They take out a couple of nightsticks. The Specialists and Paladin take out their own weapons.
King Sky: (raising his Moon Khukuri) Specialists, attack.
Riven: (raising his Solar Boomerang) I’ll take are of this.
>He throws his boomerang and knocks one of their nightsticks out of their hands. The Shadow quickly picks it back up as two more come in.
Nex: (with his Halberd of the Wind) Looks like things are getting interesting.
>They begin the fight. After a while, the Shadows were starting to wear down.
Timmy: Looks like we’ve got them on the run!
Shadow 1: Damn! Guess they don’t call you Specialists for nothing... Then I guess we’ll have to do something special ourselves.
>With that, the Shadow change shape.
Timmy: This is what I get for talking too soon.
>Then, in a flash of light, my clothes and the clothes of my friends change.
Don’t worry, Timmy. Now that we’ve been acknowledged as a threat, we can use our Personas now.
Squire Brandon: (surprised by our appearance) No kidding.
Then let’s get to work. Persona!
Helia: Wow! I guess this is that power of heart you guys talked about. A Persona.
Oracle: Pretty much.
>Necronomicon scans the Shadows.
Oracle: Those Shiisaas are all weak to Curse skills. Joker, it’s your move.
Good. I’m going in. Persona!
Oracle: Shiisaa also uses Electrical attacks, so Wind might be good, too.
Mona: Then I’m fighting, too. Persona!
Queen: I better fight, too. You might need defense skills. Persona!
Oracle: We just need one more. Crow, your Persona can also use Curse skills. I think-
King Sky: Wait! ... I’m fighting, too.
Are you sure about that, dude? You don’t have a Persona.
Crow: You know this wouldn’t be the first time. And King Sky already has experience in battle.
Joker: Alright, but takes these with you.
>I give King Sky 5 Takemedics, 5 Curse Bombs, and 5 Five-inch Nails.
King Sky: Thanks.
Joker: No problem, Your Majesty.
King Sky: ... You can just call me Sky.
Joker: Really? Why so casual?
Sky: Because, at this point... We’re pretty much friends now.
... I’m honored. Thank you, Sky.
>So we began the battle. The first three Shiisaas all use Zio on Mona. He dodged the first two, but was knocked down by the third. That Shiisaa attacked him again. The fourth Shiisaa used Rampage. Luckily, it wasn’t a major hit and we’re alright. Arsene uses Maeiha. Two of the Shiisaas were knocked down, but the other two used Dodge Curse. Arsene uses Eiha on each of the remaining Shiisaas and knocks them both down.
Joker: Now let’s go all out! You ready, Sky?
Sky: Ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s do this!
>After the attack, the Shiisaas were still up, but slightly weakened.
Queen: Well, they don’t seem that strong.
Oracle: But still, be careful. These guys may seem weak, but they can resist Physical attacks and Gunfire.
Queen: Right. But we’ll deal with them quick enough. Let’s go, Johanna!
>Johanna uses Mafrei. After Mona get’s back up, he has Zorro use Magaru. Sky uses a Five-inch Nail. Three of the Shiisaas were knocked down and one of them dodged it. Then, he uses a Curse Bomb and it got him this time.
Sky: Let’s get to it now!
>After the attack, two of the Shiisaas were gone and the two remaining ones were now real weak.
Oracle: It looks like you’re almost done. Keep going.
>The two remaining Shiisaas both use Skull Cracker. The first one was on me. Luckily, I didn’t get Confused. However, the second one on Sky definitely got him. But it doesn’t mater now. Arsene uses Maeiha. The two Shadows were gone.
Sky: (snapping out of his Confusion) Sorry. I let my guard down.
Joker: It’s alright.
Sky: I didn’t get to do much there.
Joker: You’ll get it next time.
>Suddenly, we heard a door opening. We turn to see the door to the front office was open and two new faces stepped out. One was a huge Shadow and the other looked like King Erendor in a safari themed suit... I know right away who this is.
Shadow Erendor: So, this was what was making the noise. What are you doing out of your cage, you filthy mutt?
Sky: (shocked) Dad!? No, wait, this is that other him, isn’t it?
Yes. This is how he sees himself.
We’re here because you wish to hold total dominance over your son instead of letting him become the man he strives to be.
And to make sure you don’t halt progress.
Shadow Erendor: Progress!? More like desecration. Red Fountain has always been for boys. To allow a woman to come here like that? Not while I live!
Sky: But Dad, you know what you’re doing isn’t right. Girls have just as much right to attend Red Fountain as any man. You can’t do this.
Shadow Erendor: You will be silent, Sky! You will not go against me. The man who gave you everything you ever wanted. And how do you repay me? You chose to abandon Diaspro, a wonderful animal worthy of your status... All for a beast you never even knew who she was until she was almost an adult.
Sky: It wasn’t Bloom’s fault. The Ancestral Witches destroyed her homeworld and she had to grow up on Earth. But even if that weren’t the case, I just know she would still be the kind-hearted I know her to be.
Shadow Erendor: Heh! You let that bitch cloud your judgment. Very well, if you won’t obey like a good little dog... I’ll just have to make you. Junior Assistant Zoo Keeper, teach this silly creatures a lesson!
>With that, the giant Shadow changes shape.
Oracle: This looks bad. This Shadow looks stronger than the others.
>The giant Byakko uses Mabufudyne. We were all too Frozen to do anything. Then, it uses Swift Strike. It shattered us good and we were all down.
Shadow Erendor: Did you actually think, that you would have any chance. You little thieves are no match against someone of royal might. And you, Sky, I expected more of you. Siding with such fools.
Sky: (weakly) They’re not fools. They’re my friends.
Shadow Erendor: Friends indeed. I’m starting to think letting you go to Red Fountain was a foolish idea. I only agreed to let you go since I was once a student there. But now, seeing this, I knew I should have made you stay with me and your mother. At the very least, you would take that opportunity to spend more time with Diaspro. She would have made Eraklyon a great kingdom. But you chose that that Earth girl instead.
Sky: Don’t you dare talk about Bloom.
Shadow Erendor: Look around you, Sky. Your so called friends have failed to help you stop me. But I’m willing to spare them... If you choose to be with me.
Sky: Join you?
Shadow Erendor: Come, Sky, my son. Leave these fools and that Bloom girl and join me. Help me create a kingdom and Magic Dimension of pure order. Who knows, I might even let your former love and her friends have their way and let girls attend Red Fountain.
Sky: ...
Are you seriously going to listen to that?
Sky: !
Joker: Are you just going to blindly obey your father just like that without even considering what will really happen?
Sky: ...
Squire Brandon: He’s got a point. You traded identities with me so you can be free. But now you have it back and you still have your freedom.
Sky: Brandon...
Timmy: I don’t have to be a genius to know that your father just wants to control you. Only you have the right to follow your heart.
Sky: Timmy...
Riven: He’s right. Only you can choose, dude. Not your father.
Sky: Riven...
Helia: You need to be able to grow as a person so you can grow as a king. Your father just wants you wither so you can’t fight back.
Sky: Helia...
Roy: I may not know much about the world of royalty, only what Aisha told me, but I know a true royal wouldn’t allow himself to be pushed around like this. Not even by family.
Sky: Roy...
Nex: I know I haven’t been with you that long, but I know you don’t want this. You should be like your name sake and be as free as the sky. Don’t let people like your dad weigh you down from what’s really important to you.
Sky: Nex...
Joker: Listen to your friends, Sky. They know that you can make your own decisions without your father ruling your life. You love Bloom, if your father can’t accept that...
Then what kind of father is he?
Sky: ...
Shadow Erendor: You’re just spouting words. Sky, are you seriously going to take their word over your own father’s?
Sky: ... You never keep your word about Red Fountain, would you?
Shadow Erendor: (laughing a bit) Now that you mention it... No, I wouldn’t.
Sky: !
Shadow Erendor: Do you really think I would allow that Princess of Domino to have her way? Of course not. Even after we save all positive magic, I still couldn’t stand to see the both of you together. You are a king, Sky. Your duty should be your sole priority... Everything else is just garbage.
Sky: Ho- How could you? Are you saying love is garbage? Do you really hate Bloom and her father that much that you would even use your own children just to get even? What you’re doing is nothing of a king... More like a monster. How could my mother ever stand to be around someone like you? How could someone like you even be my father... I’LL NEVER BE LIKE YOU! I’D RATHER DIE THAN BE LIKE YOU!
>We were all silent by Sky’s words. But we knew it was the truth... And this is how Sky knew...
Voices in Sky’s head: The wait is now over.
Sky: !
>A painful pounding sensation hit Sky in the head... As his eyes change to a gold color.
Voices in Sky’s head: You wish to be free of your limitations? We as one can grant you that... The cruel intentions of blood shall not mean the end of your newfound freedom... Your love shall become the key to reaching a new kind of magic... I am thou. Thou art I... We are thou. Thou art we... Agree to our contract and even that which you got your name from... Shall no longer be your limit!
>Then, in a flash, a golden mask that looked like a mix of a crown and a butterfly appeared on Sky’s face.
These readings! No way! Could it be...
>Sky takes a hold of his mask and painfully removes it. When he does, a burst of energy appeared behind him. When it was over, some thing was there... Or should I say, somethings?
>The other three looked like Helia who was made of light, Roy who was made of energy, and Nex who was made of darkness.
Whoa! He already has seven Personas?
Oracle: No...
Just one.
Shadow Erendor: So you made some things appear, big deal. I will do away with you soon enough.
>He snaps his fingers and Byakko prepares to attack. But before it can, the fire Persona uses Agilao which causes it to flinch. The other Personas go into the fire one, but remains the same.
Sky: You will not hurt my friends. Even if you are my father. A real father wouldn’t do this to his son. Even if it is for the good of the kingdom. Then I know what must be done. If I want to make sure there’s a bright future for everyone, I have to make sure that you understand.
Shadow Erendor: So be it. You will come back to me one way or another. Finsh them, my pet.
>With that, Erendor’s Shadow snaps his fingers again and disappears. Byakko prepares to attack again.
Mona: I get the feeling my Wind skills won’t be of much help. I better back out.
Oracle: That’s okay. Panther, Byakko is weak to both Fire and Nuclear skills. Think you can handle it?
Panther: I won’t cause any problems. Persona!
>I change Personas.
Sky: Now, let’s make a new path, Elemental!
Tutorial
Sky’s Persona, Elemental, behaves a bit like the Wild Card. But despite that it looks like Sky has seven, Elemental is actually just one. It’s just his element that changes. Whichever element Sky changes him to effects Elemental’s Skills, Attributes, and Stats. Elemental can change into seven different elements: Fire (which can also use Healing), Water (Ice and Physical), Wind (which also has Support), Earth (Physical and Psychokinesis), Light (Bless and Healing), Energy (Nuclear and Electricity), Darkness (Curse and Physical).
>Fire Elemental uses Agilao. It quickly knocks Byakko down.
Sky: Now we strike! Let’s do this now!
>After the attack, Byakko is still up. Thoth uses Freila, but it missed. Johanna also used Freila, it got it this time.
Queen: They’re in disarray!
>After the attack, Byakko is still up. Carmen uses Agilao. Byakko is knocked down again and got Burned. We decide not to do an All-Out-Attack this time and Carmen uses Tarunda which lowers Byakko’s attack. After getting back up, Byakko uses Mabufula. Sky and Panther were knocked down. Then, it uses Swift Strike. Luckily, Carmen’s Tarunda made it so its attack wasn’t so effective and the Burn took a some health.
Sky: (getting back up) I see. I guess I better change it up.
>Sky changes elements to Energy. Energy Elemental uses Freila. It knocks it down. We didn’t do an All-Out-Attack. Instead, he passes me the baton and I attack with my dagger. I stole a Bead from it. Thoth uses Freila and knocks it down.
Joker: Now we strike!
>After the attack, Byakko was still up, but now weaker. Johanna uses Freila. It knocks down Byakko.
Queen: We can end this right now!
>Byakko was gone.
Sky: (panting) So... This is the power you guys have...
Mona: It’s because you finally released your inner rebel. Your father’s grasp no longer holds you down.
Squire Brandon: Sounds like he’s right. You have to become your own king, not Erendor.
Sky: I know... Thanks for being there, you guys.
>Oracle looked at the front office Erendor’s Shadow came from and noticed some pamphlets on a rack. She goes over there, takes on, opens it, and inspects it.
Oracle: I found a map.
Crow: Well done, Oracle. Now going through this Palace should be more easier.
Oracle: Let’s see. It says there’s a Safe Room nearby. Let’s make our way there and use it to go back for now.
>We all agree. We make our way to the Safe Room and return to the real world for now.
>The Black Lagoon Cafe. Brandon (who insisted we drop the Squire title) brought us here.
Makoto: This looks like a real good place to hide out. How did you know about this place?
Brandon: It was once used by the Trix to trick Stella. The rest is a long story.
Akechi: Either way, it might actually be useful. And it’s not that far from Red Fountain so we can keep an eye out.
Sky: (a little tired) I guess.
Ren: Is something wrong, Sky?
Sky: Is having this Persona suppose to be this tiring?
Futaba: You used it on the first day you got it, so you just need to rest a bit.
Sky: No doubt. I just can’t believe this is how my father really is.
Haru: No one’s perfect, Sky. I know how you feel. My own father did terrible things. I lost him after that, but it’s not too late for your father. Please, let us do this for your father...
No, because he’s your father.
Sky: I know... But only if you let me help you... Me and my friends.
Helia: He’s right. You get him, you get us. It’s a package deal.
Yusuke: No one said you can’t come with us. Your fee to join in.
Helia: Thanks, you guys. We won’t let you down.
Specialists, welcome to the Phantom Thieves.
...
Ryuji: Is somethin' wrong, Akechi?
Akechi: It when Haru mentioned her father...
You seriously still hung about that? Dude, it wasn’t your fault.
Haru: That’s right. Shido made you take his life. You’re not truly guilty.
Akechi: I know. But still, I was the one who pulled that trigger. And sometime I fear... That I might go back to that way.
Not if we can help it.
Ryuji: Sure, Shido’s outta a prison now, there’s no way we’d let him get to ya.
Thank you all.
Nex: I don’t get what’s going on, but I’m glad we got that out of the way. Now we just gotta find a way to explain this to our girlfriends.
Sky: I don’t think we should. We probably don’t want to trouble them right now.
Brandon: That’s probably a good idea. You know how Stella would react.
Riven: Speaking of not telling the girls... Don’t tell Musa I’m back. I know she’ll find out anyway since... Since...
Helia: Since you really want to come back to Red Fountain.
Riven: I already spoke with Saladin and Codatorta. And it also helps that King Oritel put in a good word. I’m officially back. But I’m not ready to face Musa just yet.
Roy: Say no more. We’ll try to keep it to ourselves.
Riven: Thank you.
Mogana: Anyway, we should call it a day. We’ll think more on this later.
Sky: You know, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to an animal talking without Roxy.
>We laugh and go our separate for the day.
>In town, Brandon was thinking about getting Princess Stella dinner.
Brandon: I wonder what sounds nice. Pizza?
>Suddenly, a stream of light comes from a street light and wraps around Brandon. He quickly knows what’s going on... and looks up.
You know, I’ve been worried sick about you!
Brandon: (nervous) I was just... Late. That’s all.
Princess Stella: Yeah, you were late. That’s why I asked around and they said they saw you at the entrance. When I got there... I saw you and the others disappear with a bunch of strangers.
Brandon: (shocked) You... You did.
Princess Stella: Then I saw you guys reappear and go to that cafe the Trix had me trapped. So I decided to listen in... And you joined the Phantom Thieves.
>Brandon didn’t know what to do... No choice now... So, he told his girlfriend everything.
